It’s over…
IT’S REALLY OVERRRRRRR WEEEEE ♪♪＼(^ω^＼)( /^ω^)/♪♪ ヾ（〃＾∇＾）ﾉ♪ ♪┏(・o･)┛♪┗ ( ･o･) ┓♪
This is a project I started out of sheer stubbornness and infatuation for Chu Yu and Pharaoh (Qin Mu)
I had read the first Surrender started by another translator, and felt a surge of excitement when I learned there were four volumes of it.
The whole project started around 2023 after the frustration in my heart grew when I could not find the continuation of Surrender 2 and instead saw that Surrender 3 was completed. I was so mad that I couldn’t find a proper aggregator site (since I cannot buy the book from Uei-shang), and kept searching high and low until I saw the series hosted in myrics… Even so, a few months afterwards, the series disappeared from the site due to China’s aggressive R-18&BL novel hunt, luckily, I already secured all the raws by then or I would have been crying because again I lost the access to translate it
Before translating this, I’ve read Surrender 1 again and again (more than twice) throughout the year I first found it, there’s something about the way BDSM is portrayed here that feels so new and… more elegant than the popular series 50 Shades of Grey at the time. Not to throw shade at the novel (since I don’t really read the novel), but I just feel that the BDSM in Surrender is somewhat unique.
After reading Surrender 1, I went into extensive research on BDSM, trying to understand the dynamics and reading a lot of BDSM novels myself, but none of them were as sensual yet gentle as this novel… So, I just have to say that translating Surrender has been a very eye-opening journey
I would like to thank you all the readers who stuck with me (and my inconsistent posting schedule) and to Desuma who has been posting comments and encouragement also in Discord… I have to admit, the first few months starting this project after finishing Surrender 1, my will has decreased so much because there are barely people commenting, making me doubt myself if it’s worth continuing, considering that Surrender 3 is out there already and well… aside from the fact I can read it myself… I only like Chu Yu and Pharaoh out of the series ML
But all those consistent comments saying that you are patiently waiting for the novel bring me joy and power to finish this series!!!
I finally fulfilled my promise to finish the series by this year…
It’s been truly a long long time, no? For the series to finally be completed 🙂
