Chapter 29 – Do you want to give red envelopes?

Chapter 29 – Are you going to start giving red envelopes?

Qi Yun was really tired today and fell asleep quickly. Xing Zhongwan waited for him to fall asleep and carefully pulled off his clothes to take a look. There were wounds large and small, all were terrible. Qi Yun still didn’t say how he was injured. This person was actually very stubborn and he wouldn’t say anything he didn’t want to say when he opened his mouth.

Xing Zhongwan closed the door and went back to his room. It was not to avoid suspicion. Although he already knows what Qi Yun thinks about him, what can he do to him as a disabled person? Xing Zhongwan was not a hypocrite, he just wanted to make things clear for himself.

Back in the room on the second floor, he took a bath and lay on the bed. Staring at the ceiling in a daze, he raised his hand and looked at the delicate bracelet on his wrist. Annoyed, he dug his hands into his hair. He really did not expect the situation to develop into what it is in the present. Xing Zhongwan couldn’t respond to Qi Yun’s feelings and intentions, but he still wanted to help him. Qi Yun’s situation was not good. Even if the Shen family was helping him on the surface, there was another group coercing them behind the scenes. Otherwise, the blood clot in Qi Yun’s brain would be detected by the doctor from the very beginning, and not dragged on till today. This sort of ‘familial love’ was really frightening.

From Qi Yun’s mother’s side, he heard that he made a deal with Madam Qi in exchange for marrying him. Although he didn’t understand what Qi Yun’s motive was, it could not be that he really wanted him to stay. Did he have no other way to legally keep him by his side? Madam Qi and the Shen family’s behaviour is doubtful and Xing Zhongwan’s head hurts when he thinks about it. He came back to help his mother move into the family grave and along the way, also helped her repay a favor. Why was this so complicated that he had to involve himself in two big families?

Xing Zhongwan gritted his teeth, desperately hypnotizing himself. He is here to overcome this tribulation, yes to overcome…

For the Xing Zhongwan that came to overcome this hardship, while it was not known if he mentally overcame it or not, he was suddenly shocked by a loud thump coming from upstairs.

Xing Zhongwan’s room was just downstairs from Qi Yun. The sound made Xing Zhongwan wake up instantly. He pulled the quilt and ran upstairs. Sure enough, when he opened the door, Qi Yun had fallen down with his quilt. He hurriedly walked over and picked him up, only to find that Qi Yun was soaked all over. As soon as he felt Xing Zhongwan, Qi Yun hugged him tightly, his voice trembling, “Where have you been? Wanwan, where have you been?”

Xing Zhongwan didn’t think much, “I was downstairs? What’s wrong, want to go to the bathroom?”

Qi Yun breathed a sigh of relief, then shook his head, “I dreamed that you were gone.”

There was a dampness in the clear and light words and Xing Zhongwan’s heart trembled. Sliding away the sweaty bangs on Qi Yun’s forehead, it reminded Xing Zhongwan of the lotus flower after the rainstorm that he saw in Jiangnan when he was a child, trembling but lovable.

“I’ll change your clothes, you’re sweating.” He turned to leave but Qi Yun grabbed him, “Don’t go.”

Xing Zhongwan said helplessly, “I won’t leave, but if you sleep like this without changing your clothes, you’ll catch a cold.” Qi Yun’s hand slowly loosened and Xing Zhongwan went to the closet to get clean pajamas. He pulled Qi Yun’s clothes off and the wounds on his body were soaked by sweat. Xing Zhongwan turned on the water and wiped him clean little by little before reapplying the medicine and putting dry pajamas on him. He sighed a breath of relief.

“I’ll sleep next to you.” Xing Zhongwan said before spreading the quilt.

Qi Yun took his hand and said, “Sleep here, it’s very late.”

Xing Zhongwan looked around, “Where?” Qi Yun’s neck slowly turned red and Xing Zhongwan realized that he referred to his bed, together.

Without thinking, Xing Zhongwan refused. However, before he even opened his mouth, Qi Yun lowered his eyes, “Don’t refuse me.”

Xing Zhongwan’s eyes twitched, “How are two big men going to sleep here? I’ll have to be careful not to squeeze you. You still have some injuries.”

Qi Yun’s face turned even redder, “I won’t do anything to you, don’t worry.”

Xing Zhongwan: …

Even if you really want to do something to me now, you won’t be able to do it, right?

Xing Zhongwan was not a hypocrite either. It was too late and he was tired, so he simply lifted the quilt and lay inside. Fortunately, Qi Yun’s bed was big enough so Xing Zhongwan didn’t have a hard time sleeping. He couldn’t help but yawn, “Go to sleep, go to sleep. I’m exhausted.”

In a trance, a hand stretched out and gently held Xing Zhongwan. Xing Zhongwan subconsciously broke free but when he couldn’t break free, he muttered, “How can you act like such a child?”

Qi Yun turned his face to the side and could feel Xing Zhongwan’s warm breath on his face. The reality of the situation made the warmth in his heart overflow; out of control. He shifted his upper body before resting his head on Xing Zhongwan’s shoulder and closing his eyes.

Awakened by a nightmare in the middle of the night, Qi Yun was confused by the absence of that familiar breathing sound. He shouted into the night but no one answered. When he rolled off the bed in a hurry, his heavy legs made him unable to move. That Xing Zhongwan had left him again. The frustration of being powerless overwhelmed him and his body turned cold as if he had been abandoned by the whole world. That feeling was even crueler than when he woke up in a car accident and realized that he was a cripple.

Qi Yun gradually tightened his grip on Xing Zhongwan’s hand, the strength was so great that Xing Zhongwan couldn’t help but turn to his side, “What are you doing? It hurts.”

Qi Yun let it go in a panic but after a while, he quickly grabbed it and held it tightly again.

Xing Zhongwan was dazed, “Do you like that so much?”

Xing Zhongwan turned to his side and his face was facing Qi Yun. Qi Yun couldn’t help but lean over and touch his face with both hands before kissing him on the mouth.

The corners of his mouth curled up, if it weren’t for his unseeing and cloudy eyes, they would be full of love at this time.

“That’s how much I like it.”

When Xing Zhongwan woke up, he felt a little different than usual. It was warm around him. Ever since he was a child, he had a habit of clinging onto the source of warmth while he slept. Currently, Xing Zhongwan was holding onto Qi Yun like a pillow. His left leg was on Qi Yun’s crotch while his head was resting on his shoulder. This position was too ambiguous, he thinks. However, what was even worse is that his leg was lying on top of Qi Yun’s crotch so he could clearly feel that Qi Yun was hard…

With a dark face, Xing Zhongwan carefully moved his leg down. However, as there was some friction, the already hard thing became a little harder. With that, Xing Zhongwan moved his leg more carefully. Just as he was about to turn around, Qi Yun hugged his waist, “Let’s sleep a while more.”

Xing Zhongwan opened his eyes wide and looked at the face close up. The sun was shining on Qi Yun’s face, and with a little lighting and some shadows overcast on that visage, the thick but slender eyelashes cast a silver shadow on the bridge of that tall nose when those eyes trembled open. Xing Zhongwan couldn’t help swallowing a mouthful of saliva and closed his eyes, “Oh God, please don’t tempt me with a beauty in the morning, okay?”

Qi Yun smiled, “Am I good-looking?”

Xing Zhongwan’s brain exploded as Qi Yun smiled. That cold visage that suddenly turned into something akin to a warm breeze with a hint of coolness could leave a mark inside a person’s hearts.

With an already perfect face, such a smile was like a hundred flowers blooming. Xing Zhongwan covered his nose and felt it warming up. He hurriedly pushed Qi Yun away from him and ran into the bathroom.

Qi Yun retracted the smile on his face and closed his eyes. If he didn’t feel wrong just now, Wanwan… he was hard…

Xing Zhongwan obviously did not recover from the powerful shock of turning hard for a man. Early in the morning, he went to Xue Qing to ask about Qi Yun’s condition. Professor Gao was leaving in two days and time was tight.

After chatting with Professor Gao, Xing Zhongwan went to Xue Qing. Xue Qing threw the paper bag in her hand to him, “Here, it’s for you. Seeing that you are in a bad mood early in the morning, Laoniang specially travelled half a city away to buy it for you. Yes, it seems like I really dote on you, huh?”

Xing Zhongwan opened it and saw that it was a Chinese mugwort dumpling. Xing Zhongwan loved to eat this because the taste of Chinese mugwort dumplings from their restaurant were the most akin to his mother’s. Every year, when he comes back to worship his mother, he always has to eat a few. He didn’t expect that there is also a branch here.

“Hurry up and eat it while it’s hot. Also do tell big sister why it seems like you were run over so early in the morning, huh!?”

Xing Zhongwan took out the dumplings and threw the paper bag on Xue Qing’s head, “Go away. Can you talk like a woman? It was you who asked when I’ll be able to marry.”

Xue Qing lit a cigarette, “You can do it, Laoniang is going to be a bachelor till her golden years.”

Xing Zhongwan took a bite of the dumpling and hesitated, “Do you think it’s abnormal for me to have a reaction towards a man?”

Xue Qing took a puff of cigarette but forgot to huff out the smoke. She coughed loudly, “What did you say!?”

Xing Zhongwan got sprayed by a faceful of spit and Xue Qing calmed down, “Sister will rationalize this for you. It’s a fact that men are more sensitive in the morning and it’s normal to respond to a little stimulation. You don’t need to worry too much to the point of having a psychological breakdown. Just treat it like a normal morning physiological response.’’

Xing Zhongwan watched her sprout nonsense seriously, “Get straight to the point.”

Xue Qing changed her face in a second, “Lao Xing, could it be that you’ve fallen for Qi Yun?”

Xing Zhongwan patted her face, “Impossible.”

Xue Qing took a sip of a cigarette, “It’s hard to say for this kind of thing. Haven’t you heard of developing feelings for each other after spending some time together?”

Xing Zhongwan: …

“It’s impossible to fall in love after spending a long time together, but it might be possible after getting married for a long time.”

Xue Qing was successfully choked again. Coughing so hard, tears filled her eyes. She had a ghostly expression,

“What did you say?”

Xing Zhongwan bit the dumpling, “Marry Qi Yun. Me!”

Xue Qing opened his eyes wide, “Are you going to start giving red envelopes?”

Hehehe, this time Xing Zhongwan was the one successfully choked by a dumpling…

T/N: It’s Chinese tradition that on Chinese New Year’s married couples have to give the little kiddies and those who aren’t married yet red envelopes filled with money. That money is good luck money for the rest of the year BTW.

Hehe, I’m so excited for them to finally be married. Even if it doesn’t really have any legal effect or whatever. It’s not like couples who get married have their relationship automatically qualified to work out till the end of their lives, or whatever. Sorry for being pessimistic ಥ_ಥ

Hope you’re all well!!! And hope you enjoyed the chapter, I know I did 🙂 Please leave a like and comment, it means a lot to me. Even if I can’t reply (cos I’m shy) I really appreciate them and look forward to reading them everytime~

Chapter 16 – Lu Shifeng is old

Chapter 16 – Lu Shifeng is old

Jian Luo snorted softly: “I advise you to go back first. Tomorrow we will go to the base and find the leader to watch the surveillance and deal with the matter properly.”

Wu Qiang stood up and looked at him fiercely: “You are young, but sure talk big. Just wait, but don’t regret it later!”

Jian Luo bowed and said slowly, “Walk slowly, I won’t send you off.”

Wu Qiang left angrily.

Other onlookers who were eating melons gathered around and watched as Jian Luo said, “Everyone, please go back early, our abode is small, so please don’t stay here.”

The onlookers were unwilling at first but in the end they left in a hurry.

Jian Luo said to his younger brother, “Go close the door.”

The little brother nodded obediently: “Okay.”

When the door was finally closed and the entire courtyard regained its tranquility, Su Liang breathed a sigh of relief. She held Jian Luo’s hand: “Luoluo!”

Jian Luo helped her into the house: “Mom, next time when something happens, you have to notify me first. I’ll manage to come back today, but if I’m not at home next time, what will you do?”

Su Liang sniffed: “Luoluo, what you promised before, have you really talked to the Dark Stars? You haven’t told your mother where you work and how you got so much money!”

“Luoluo, tell the truth.” Su Liang stared at him: “Did you cook for the military again? Have you forgotten what your mother told you?!”

“…”

This was difficult.

Jian Luo was silent for a while: “Mom, don’t worry, I…”

Su Liang took his hand and said, “Luoluo, I know you have a vague idea of it. Mom knows about your cooking. With your ability, it is possible to become a cook in Sky City’s restaurants, but the military in the palace is dangerous. There may be a war at any time. Those Dark Stars are very strong, but you are only a human, what will you do then?”

Jian Luo fell into deep thought.

“Mom doesn’t expect you to do anything great.” Su Liang sighed lightly, “I just hope you can be safe, you know?”

“…”

I am also afraid of death!

Jian Luo was reminded of this by what his mother said.

If he could pass Moonlight’s interview and obtain the right to cultivate plants and then obtain a household registration as well as do the live broadcast well, he could still live a good life, right?

The military was indeed very good, but it was not his home.

“I know what’s important.” Jian Luo had an idea: “You are tired today, shall I take you into the room to rest?”

Su Liang nodded and said no more.

The small house was not very ventilated, narrow and stuffy. Jian Luo went to the kitchen and found a bowl of rice grains. He then boiled them in a pot and cut some shredded meat into it to make a porridge.

His younger brother came out: “Brother.”

“Oh.” Jian Luo said, “I’m going to wash up. You can watch this here. When the porridge is ready, bring it to mother.”

Jian Sheng came over and said, “Okay.”

Jian Luo nodded and was about to leave. Halfway through, Jian Sheng called out, “Brother!”

Jian Luo paused and turned around: “What’s the matter?”

“That…” Jian Sheng hesitated for a long time, but finally smiled: “I just think that you’re so handsome!”

Jian Luo was silent for a while before he chuckled lightly, came over and patted his little brother’s head. This little boy has gained a little weight recently, so he must’ve gotten enough nutrition nowadays.

He whispered: “Grow up slowly, big brother will be waiting for you to protect me.”

His younger brother was full of confidence: “Don’t worry!”

Jian Luo rubbed his head for a bit more before leaving. There are still a lot of things waiting for him tomorrow, he has to think about what to do about them.

On the other side – the palace.

Dark Star is a constitutional monarchy where the emperor runs the country and has absolute power and control.

Lu Shifeng stood in the hall: “Your Majesty was looking for me?”

The little emperor was young but the dragon robe he wore said everything that was needed. He nodded: “Uncle Huang, I just thought of a wonderful idea on how to get closer to the people.”

Lu Shifeng said lazily, “Your Majesty is wise.”

“…”

I suspect you’re mocking me.

The little emperor coughed lightly: “That’s it, I feel that with the current image of Uncle Uncle, it will be difficult for the people to change their mind in a short period of time. Recently, the human cultivation base is undergoing reforms. It is better for uncle to personally go down to the plantation to inspect to reflect the importance our Dark Star places on them, and secondly, to also appear closer to the people!”

Lu Shifeng said lightly: “Your Majesty is wise, but I am busy with official business, I am afraid I will have to disappoint Your Majesty.”

The little emperor pouted: “What are you busy with, Uncle Huang?”

“Military affairs.” Lu Shifeng went on to mention the perfunctory: “If Your Majesty has nothing else, this minister will excuse himself.”

The little emperor hurriedly stopped him: “Hey uncle, don’t leave. Since you only stay in the military base, the daughter of the finance minister has been wanting to see you. You’re not too young anymore. I will ask her to go to the base tomorrow to find you and you can both start dating?”

Lu Shifeng stopped in his footsteps.

The little emperor was overjoyed and suddenly felt hopeful: “How is it?”

Lu Shifeng turned around slowly and his handsome face was finally swept away as he put on a smile: “I suddenly feel that His Majesty’s proposal to go to the human base is very wise. I cannot wait to live up to His Majesty’s wishes.”

Little Emperor: “But didn’t you say…”

“Military affairs are not as important as His Majesty’s wishes.” Lu Shifeng said slowly: “I will go over and take a look tomorrow.”

“……okay then.”

The  next day.

Jian Luo came to the military base to ask for leave.

Secretary Jin has been living a good life these days. The marshal eats and drinks well, so her work became less. When she has lesser work, her skin condition became better.

Jian Luo said, “I’m sorry Secretary Jin. I may have to take a day off. I have something to do at home.”

Secretary Jin was taken aback: “What’s the matter?”

What will I do if you leave!

Jian Luo scratched his head: “It’s just that I have some trouble at home. Um, I might have to take a day off. If it goes well, it will be one day, if it doesn’t go well…”

Secretary Jin was alarmed: “What will happen?”

Jian Luo thought for a while: “I don’t know either.”

Secretary Jin’s heart sank.

This doesn’t seem like a trivial matter!

You can’t go, how will we live if you go!?

Secretary Jin was very positive: “Xiaoluo, if you have any difficulties, you must tell me that our friendship can be regarded as friends. Don’t worry, I will try my best to help you.”

Jian Luo was a little moved: “It’s just that my mother got involved with a ruffian, so I’m going to the cultivation base to solve this matter.”

Just as Secretary Jin was about to say something, the bell on the table rang. This was the exclusive alarm that Lu Shifeng used to call her. It seems that the demon lord has an order for her!

Jian Luo said, “You have some work to do right now so I’ll wait for you.”

Secretary Jin nodded, picked up the bell and went in.

As soon as she left, there was no one outside.

It was not good for Jian Luo to stand in the same place as it was embarrassing not to leave. He could only look around the military base to pass the time. The security level was very high and there were sky lasers all over the walls. No matter what he did, there was no need for a Dark Star to take action as the defense system inside the walls could just destroy him in minutes.

After a while, someone came out.

Jian Luo turned around and thought that what he saw first  would be Secretary Jin, but who knew that he would see a man with an elegant and handsome face in a military uniform walking out.

In romance novels, he would be a domineering president, and in BL novels, he would be a formidable top!

Secretary Jin gave Jian Luo a wink.

Lu Shifeng stopped when he passed Jian Luo and looked at him condescendingly: “A human?”

Jian Luo wiped the possible drool at the corner of his mouth and said respectfully, “Hello.”

“En.” Lu Shifeng’s voice was low and magnetic and he asked slowly, “What are you doing here?”

Jian Luo guessed that this person was a high-level official and said honestly, “I’m here to ask for leave.”

Usually ordinary soldiers didn’t need to ask Secretary Jin to apply for leave. However, because it was a private contract, Jian Luo came over. He could’ve sent a message to ask for leave, but he was too embarrassed to let the car that came to pick him up early this morning to have come over for naught.

Lu Shifeng said in a deep voice, “I heard that you are going to a human cultivation base.”

Jian Luo nodded lightly: “Yes.”

“Well.” Lu Shifeng said, “I’m going there too, follow me.”

Jian Luo was stunned for a moment and subconsciously wanted to refuse: “No, no, I’m too embarrassed to be a bother to you so I’ll just go there…”

Secretary Jin hurriedly interjected: “Luoluo, didn’t you say you have something to do at home?”

“…”

Jian Luo pondered for a while, and understood!

Secretary Jin was looking for someone reliable for him. If he could follow this master, then the cultivation base issue will definitely not be difficult for him, and everything will be solved easily.

After he figured this out, Jian Luo immediately changed his expression: “I mean, it’s really an honor to follow you.”

Lu Shifeng withdrew his gaze indifferently: “Let’s go.”

The man stopped talking and took the lead to leave, leaving Jian Luo, who was still a little confused, behind.

Secretary Jin winked at him: “Go.”

Jian Luo quickly returned to his senses and quickened his pace to catch up. After reaching the outside of the military base, he followed him up a warship. After it was locked, he felt that the other’s eyes were looking at him strangely.

Lu Shifeng sat down to rest on the sofa of the warship and glanced at Jian Luo: “Sit down.”

Jian Luo carefully sat down.

There was a teapot on the table so he started to brew tea without any hesitation. His movements were very smooth. After he finished brewing the tea, he handed a cup to Lu Shifeng himself with a flattering smile.

Lu Shifeng glanced at him: “Are you afraid of me?”

Jian Luo shook his hand and head quickly: “No, no.”

Lu Shifeng retracted his gaze, took a sip of tea, and said slowly, “I know your cooking skills are good so don’t be afraid of me, the military will not treat capable people badly.”

“Yes yes yes.” Jian Luo  flattered simply: “I have always admired the military, especially Marshal Lu. Although he is old, he is wise and talented. As his subordinate, you are indeed a talented person. I will definitely work hard.”

He bowed as he finished.

Inexplicably, the surrounding temperature dropped several degrees.

Slowly, Lu Shifeng’s eyes narrowed slightly: “Do you think he is very old?”

Chapter 15 – I have a boyfriend too

Chapter 15 – I have a boyfriend too

While the two were talking, there was a commotion at the entrance before the waiter then respectfully led a person in.

He was a man in a white robe with pure white hair. He was holding a cane in his hand as he walked in dignified and steady steps, He came in under the recommendation of the waiter.

Nie Yan narrowed his shrewd eyes and said with a smile, “It’s really surprising that you are here to pay us an illustrious visit, your grace.”

High Priest Zhan Wentai.

Dark Star’s national idol, a figure who was an expert in astronomy and geography.

Zhan Wentai sat down on the table: “According to my divination, I learned that there will be an unexpected surprise here, so I’ll come over to have a look.”

Nie Yan cheered: “As expected of the high priest, he already foresaw this.”

Zhan Wentai looked at Lu Shifeng in a reserved manner: “Master Marshal is well.”

Lu Shifeng said slowly: “Why do you have to be so polite, your grace? Since you’re already here, come take a seat.”

Zhan Wentai was a rather old-fashioned veteran. After he sat down, he smelled the fragrance of the dishes and spoke after a long silence, “These dishes seem to have the healing scent of dopamine.”

As a businessman, Nie Yan naturally had to weigh the pros and cons: “Would you like to have a taste to make sure, your grace?”

Zhan Wentai picked up his chopsticks and took a bite of the fried shrimp.

Nie Yan asked him, “How is it?”

The veteran Zhan Wentai swallowed the food and said, “It tastes good.”

“…”

You are very humorous.

Nie Yan hesitated for a while: “What I’m asking is about the healing power you just talked about.”

“I see.” Zhan Wentai looked at Lu Shifeng instead: “Master Marshal should be more familiar with this taste.”

Lu Shifeng nodded slowly.

Nie Yan was at a loss and he turned his face: “Have you ever eaten this cooking?”

Lu Shifeng held a wine glass, slowly tilted it twice, and slightly opened his thin lips: “It should be more times than you’ve eaten it.”

? ? ?

As a shrewd businessman, Nie Yan would be humiliated often if he didn’t use his brain cells to carve his way through the business world.

He asked slowly, “Could it be that the cook hired by the military is the same as mine?”

Lu Shifeng said, “You’re about right.”

“You’re so sure?” Nie Yan pushed his glasses up, looked at Kazuki next to him and said, “Bring him over, let us meet.”

Kazuki looked hesitant.

Nie Yan had a bad feeling in his heart: “What’s wrong?”

“Boss, Mr. Jian is no longer with us. It’s already 7 o’clock and he has already left.” Kazuki went out of her way: “Because he said he won’t be able to catch the last bus if he didn’t leave!”

“…”

The reason was solid!

On the other side

When Jian Luo got out of the car, it was already late. He walked along the path to his house. When he got home, he saw a group of people around the door of the house. The group of people were chattering and the scene made his heart tighten.

Jian Luo walked back quickly and pushed the crowd aside: “Let me pass, let me pass.”

One of the women saw him and whispered, “Oh, Luoluo, you’re back. Quickly, go and have a look. There’s some commotion inside.”

Jian Luo frowned and walked quickly.

It was quite chaotic in the small courtyard. Su Liang was holding his younger brother’s hand while confronting a man and a woman. The man said, “You were the one who stole my star card, but you still refuse to admit it.”

Su Liang was so angry: “You’re giving a false accusation!”

“Am I giving a false accusation?” The man sneered and looked around at the crowd that was watching in excitement: “Everyone here can be the judge. She had a problem with work today, so I went to help, but when I came back, I found that my star card was gone. Later I found it here, was this not theft?”

The onlookers nodded.

A woman stood up and said, “Su Liang, didn’t auntie already tell you, we all know that you have two children at home and that you carry a big burden. However, this kind of thing is really unnecessary. Just listen to auntie and apologize to him. Return his money and it’ll be alright, hm?”

Su Liang’s eyes were red: “Auntie, I didn’t take his star card.”

The aunt sighed: “Su Liang, why are you so stubborn…”

As soon as she finished speaking, a clear voice came across: “I ask you this auntie, did you see my mother steal with your very own eyes?”

The aunt was taken aback.

All of the sudden, all eyes were on her.

The auntie’s eyes blinked guiltily as she coughed lightly, “No, no.”

Jian Luo sneered: “Then why did you decide that it was stolen by my mother?”

The woman was speechless for a moment.

Wu Qiang, who claimed to have had his things stolen, saw that something bad might happen so he spoke in a harsh tone: “What’s the matter with you here?”

Seeing that Jian Luo was back, Su Liang whispered, “Luoluo!”

Jian Luo walked quickly towards Su Liang and his younger brother. He pulled Su Liang aside and said in a low voice, “Mom, what’s going on?”

“I didn’t steal it.” Su Liang’s white face was full of sadness: “I don’t know why it was in my pocket. You have to trust your mother, Luoluo.”

Jian Luo nodded: “Mom, I believe you but you have to explain this to me. From the beginning to the end, so that I can make up my mind.”

Su Liang hesitated: “This…”

“There’s nothing wrong with this.” Jian Luo patiently said, “Mom, don’t treat me like a child anymore. I’ve already grown up. Now that you’ve seen the situation, do you want everyone to continue to wrong you?”

His tone was not aggressive, but firm and weighty.

Su Liang didn’t hesitate and told him: “Wu Qiang wanted to molest me today but he didn’t succeed. He threatened me and said that if I didn’t agree, there would be no good outcome to this. I thought that he would embarrass me at work, but I didn’t expect that he would use this method.”

Jian Luo asked, “How long were you with him?”

“Not long.” Su Liang frowned; “The timetable in our base is chaotic in order to keep up with the harvest time of vegetables so I can’t remember the exact time.”

Jian Luo immediately had an idea. He glanced at Wu Qiang not far away. The man was short and his eyes were a little dull.

Wu Qiang walked over: “What are you mumbling about? Let me tell you, the money on my star card is short and you must pay for it today!”

Jian Luo stood in front of Su Liang, and he smiled: “Brother Wu, did you specifically come here after finding that your card was lost?”

Wu Qiang said “en”: “Do you know that you have to pay me back by today?”

“Brother, why are you making such a fuss?” Jian Luo glanced at the crowd watching not far away, and then looked back: “To be frank, you have seen the situation in our family over the years, my brother and I have been hoping that our mother can find us a father who is indomitable.”

It was unknown which words pleased Wu Qiang, but there was a proud look on his face.

Su Liang gently tugged at Jian Luo’s sleeve from behind.

Jian Luo said softly: “Brother Wu Qiang, I think there is some misunderstanding today. You know my mother’s character, she doesn’t know how to be flexible. If you have something to tell me, I always felt that you were a good match for my mom.”

Wu Qiang’s gloomy eyes glanced at Su Liang, revealing yellow teeth: “I didn’t expect you to be sensible, little brother.”

Jian Luo smiled: “I want to ask Brother Wu, what time did you lose your card?”

Wu Qiang drifted a little: “It was probably around three o’clock in the afternoon.”

The smile at the corner of Jian Luo’s mouth became bigger and bigger: “If you really lost your card around after three o’clock, then you are really amazing. You only found out that the card was lost when you got home so how did you know that you accurately lost it at three o’clock?”

Wu Qiang’s face turned ugly in an instant.

Jian Luo added: “The biological clock of the base is off. Unless you have planned the time to go to visit my mother to harass her, how could you have remembered it so clearly?”

The melon eaters 1Those who watch the drama, but do not interfere.not far away heard this and said:

“We know Mrs. Su’s attitude, she will never steal anything.”

“Don’t bully a woman’s family too much.”

Wu Qiang turned his head and roared, “Shut the f-ck up!”

When he got closer to Jian Luo, he took half a step back in fright: “Uncle, can I ask you to be quieter? I’m afraid.”

Wu Qiang sneered: “You also know how to be afraid?”

Jian Luo patted his chest: “Of course I know. If a dog barks at me, how can I not be afraid?”

“You!”

Wu Qiang’s face turned blue with anger

Jian Luo held his head high and held Su Liang’s hand: “Mom, I just recorded what was just said. He is suspected of falsely slandering others. Tomorrow, I will accompany you to find the leader of your base to make it clear. They must also have cameras over there so this matter will definitely be cleared up.”

Su Liang’s eyelashes trembled slightly, she was quite moved: “Luoluo!”

Wu Qiang heard a lot of voices talking about him behind his back, but his ugly face didn’t have any fear, instead he was proud: “Report me? I advise you to think clearly. Do you know who my sister is married to? In the entire Peace Paradise, only my sister is married to a dark star.”

After a pause, he leaned down and looked at Su Liang with contempt in his eyes: “Mark my brother-in-law’s words, you will soon be out of job so I advise you to think carefully. The two children in your family still have to go to school!”

As he spoke, Wu Qiang raised his hand, wanting to touch Su Liang’s face. The pair of squinting eyes also seemed to have gathered infinite malice in them, but it was too bad that those hands were stopped in the air. Jian Luo threw his hands down. With a single burst of strength, he folded Wu Qiang’s arm in half, and kicked him between the legs.

“What!?”

A scream resounded throughout the courtyard.

Jian Luo let go of him before kicking him to the ground. He then went up and kicked him two more times in frustration.

“Ah!” Wu Qiang grabbed his crotch on the ground and said fiercely: “You dare to hit me? Just wait, you are so dead and it’s all over for your family!”

Jian Luo stood by and sneered: “Your sister is married to a Dark Star. It’s as if you’re also married to him, why are you proud?”

Wu Qiang said gravely: “You are finished. My brother-in-law will not let you go.”

“Wow, I’m so scared.” Jian Luo looked down at him condescendingly and snorted softly, “Didn’t she just manage to get a Dark Star as a partner? It’s not like it has never happened before.”

The audience was in an uproar as soon as these words came out.

For the people of Peace Paradise, it was either a very good thing or a very bad thing to be involved with a Dark Star.

Wu Qiang sat up and sneered with his eyes: “Only you are not afraid of over-bragging. Who will even look at you? With the condition of your family, let alone the Dark Stars, even humans don’t want to touch you!”

Chapter 28 – Wanwan, how do you know we can't do it if we don't try?

Chapter 28 – Wanwan, how do you know we can’t do it if we don’t try?

Xing Zhongwan arrived at the Xing family’s estate. Xing Zhengping hardly showed his face to him, however…

“You’ve arrived. I just happen to have something to discuss with you!”

Xing Zhongwan raised his eyebrows, “Saying it with such vigour.. Just spill the beans, what sort of good thing happened to me?”

Xing Zhongwan’s hand touched the corner of a cabinet made of chinese rosewood. This used to be his grandfather’s study. As a child, when his grandfather had not passed away yet, he lived with the Xing family.

Xing Zhongwan touched the chipped corner of the cabinet and remembered his grandfather’s expression at that time. He had been holding a cane in his hand, “What have you done?”

The young Xing Zhongwan shrank back. He did not dare admit it, but he also didn’t dare to lie. Whispering a yes, he burst into tears. His grandfather just stared at him. Why was he crying before he had even begun to do anything? He just poured a cup of tea and watched him cry.

When he was done crying, he waved to him and raised his hand to wipe his tears.

“Good boy… crying like a little girl. It’s already broken, It’s not like I’ll eat you for breaking this cabinet. Silly child!”

His grandfather smiled and touched his head, Xing Zhongwan shrank into his grandfather’s arms and sobbed softly.

“Grandpa, I won’t dare to do this anymore. I will study hard and study drama well. Then I’ll sing to grandpa. Don’t be angry.”

The old man laughed and Xing Zhongwan will never forget that hearty laughter.

“Did you hear what I just said?” Xing Zhengping’s question pulled Xing Zhongwan out of his thoughts. Xing Zhongwan looked at him with contempt, “What did you say?”

Xing Zhengping was so angry that he almost got an aneurysm, “You just ignored your own father!?”

Xing Zhongwan sat on the desk with a smile, “So you do still remember that you’re my father. You removed me from the family ledger so I have no relation with the Xing family, ’father’!”

Xing Zhengping convulsed angrily and raised his finger to point at him, “You! You!”

Suppressing his anger he said, “I don’t care about you. The Qi family wants you to marry Qi Yun. What do you think about this?”

Xing Zhongwan was stunned for a moment before he sneered, “How should two men get married? I also want to ask you, my father. What do you think?”

Xing Zhongwan thought to himself, What the hell was the Qi family doing? A marriage?  Between him and Qi Yun? Was this some sort of international joke?

Xing Zhengping coughed awkwardly, “What else can I do? The Xing family can’t overrule the Qi family now. What should I do?”

Xing Zhongwan put his hands on his chest, “Did you agree?”

Xing Zhengping turned his face away reflexively. Xing Zhongwan got up from the desk, “No way!”

After passing Xing Zhengping, he wanted to leave the room. Xing Zhengping anxiously took two steps forward, “As long as you agree, I will sign the consent form tomorrow. Then your mother can enter Xing’s registry at any time.”

Xing Zhongwan turned back coldly, “You’re threatening me using my mother?” Xing Zhengping looked at Xing Zhongwan’s dark face and dared not look again directly. He was much taller than himself when his son stood in front of him, making him seem lacking in prestige.

Xing Zhengping went out of his way, “Anyway, even if you don’t agree and decide to kill me, I will never let your mother enter the Xing family.”

As Xing Zhongwan slowly approached Xing Zhengping, his fists were clenched tightly. Xing Zhengping’s face darkened and he gulped down, “What do you want? You still want to beat up your own father?”

Xing Zhongwan unclenched his fist, “You know I have another way of letting my mother into the Xing family.”

Xing Zhengping’s face turned white, “You don’t know just how much your mother loved the Xing family. You don’t want to tarnish the Xing family’s name so that your mother can’t rest her eyes as she’s in the ground, do you? I know you are very capable now, but as long as I am still the head of the Xing family, your mother can’t enter the Xing family without my approval. Xing Zhongwan, is that clear?”

Xing Zhongwan went to the ancestral hall and placed a stick of incense on his grandfather’s grave. This was the first time he has stepped into this place in more than ten years after being away from home. Looking at the portrait of his grandfather, Xing Zhongwan knelt down and kowtowed to him. Mr. Xing did not like to take pictures all his life, so he only had this portrait left of him when he was young. Xing Zhongwan got up and looked at the face on the portrait that was almost the same as his own. Xing Zhongwan’s eyes reddened. His grandfather never married but he took in his mother as an adopted daughter. She was mostly brought up by his grandfather who taught her how to become a well-known lady in the circle. Xing Zhongwan had never seen his mother’s beautiful face. The mother that he remembered was already in poor health and her face was haggard. She could only hear of her dazzling beauty from other people, because his mother, just like his grandfather, generally did not like her picture taken. There were very few photos of her when she was young. When she passed away, Xing Zhongwan worked hard to find a graduation photo of her for the funeral. Her face was serious but beautiful.

Such an excellent mother married some trash like Xing Zhengping. This was the reason that made him love and hate his grandfather to this day. It was his grandfather who gave his mother a second chance at life but also pushed her into the abyss with his own hands.

Xing Zhongwan blinked and stared at his grandfather’s portrait for a long time. His grandfather’s pupils had a touch of blue. Xing Zhongwan lowered his eyes and what his mother said before her death came to mind. I grew up in the Xing family and watched your grandfather work hard until now. No matter what, you can’t make your grandfather ashamed, or I’d rather die. I won’t have the courage to face him.

Xing Zhongwan slowly closed his eyes and opened them again. If you look closely, you will find that Xing Zhongwan’s pupils also had a faint hint of blue.

Madam Qi raised her eyes and looked at the son she hadn’t seen for a long time. The corners of her mouth raised slightly, “You are my own son, why would I want you to die?”

Qi Yun rubbed his aching knee, “I was carried away by my grandmother as soon as I was born. You have never seen me for as long as I can remember. You have no feelings for me. I might be your son, yes, it’s just a fragile relationship bound by blood. I do believe that you were really happy when I came back to you after grandma died, but that happiness gradually turned into worry as I grew up. All because I did not grow as per your expectations, into a doll that can be manipulated. You started to be afraid. Afraid that you can’t control me and afraid that efforts to obtain power will be in vain. You needed a more obedient heir. Compared to power, what is your son? Even if they are your son, you’ll terminate anyone who stands in your way yourself. Am I right, mother?!”

Madam Qi listened quietly. She took a few steps and sat on the side chair, looking at her son. Although he looked like her, his temperament was just like that old woman, and she liked to go against her!

“You think too much!” Madam Qi patted the dust off her cuff.

Qi Yun raised his head and looked straight ahead, “Is the young fourth master obedient? It seems that he is qualified to be your puppet doll. Mother, I already gave you the conditions, please keep your side of the promise.”

Madam Qi looked at Qi Yun seriously. This son has changed a lot compared to when the accident recently happened.

Although his eyes were still dull, his legs were still bad and he was sitting down, there was some semblance of his past demeanor. Madam Qi suppressed the panic in her heart and said in a low voice, “Is it worth it? For one person… You actually compromised.”

“You’re holding me hostage here. Leaving me hanging, just to make me compromise. I’ve compromised, mother. Aren’t you satisfied? I’ll do as you say, I only need Wanwan.”

Madam Qi heard the determination in Qi Yun’s words. Yes, this is what she always wanted to hear from Qi Yun’s mouth, and her goal was achieved, but Xing Zhongwan was a variable she never expected.

Qi Yun actually wanted to marry a man? Did he not find out that Xing Zhongwan was a man?

Madam Qi has doubts in her heart, she has never read her son’s mind. After more than a year of humiliation, he even gave up his initial plans for a man. Madam Qi’s heart felt complicated. Qi Yun, even you, my best son, will face something like this today too.

Madam Qi got up and walked to the door, “As you wish!”

When Xing Zhong came back late in the evening, he did not know that Madam Qi had been here. He went upstairs to see Qi Yun. Qi Yun was coming out of the bathroom. The old housekeeper looked up at Xing Zhongwan and quietly exited the room. Xing Zhongwan pushed the person to the bedside but Qi Yun suddenly said, “Let’s go for a walk in the garden.”

Xing Zhongwan pushed Qi Yun for a walk in the small garden. The breeze blowing in front of him was very comfortable. At first, Qi Yun really didn’t know how to start a conversation with Xing Zhongwan, but Xing Zhongwan spoke first, “I went back to Xing’s house today, and Xing Zhengping said you wanted to marry me.”

Qi Yun was stunned when he suddenly heard what Xing Zhongwan said and accidentally broke his fingernails while fiddling with his fingers. Qi Yun frowned and hissed before Xing Zhongwan looked down at him with a funny look, “Don’t get too excited!”

Qi Yun turned his face away in embarrassment, “Did you accept?”

Xing Zhongwan looked at him speechlessly, “How can two men get married? No matter how powerful your Qi family is, the law cannot recognize the legal relationship between two men.”

Qi Yun looked at Xing Zhongwan, “My mother doesn’t know, she thought I still believed that you’re a woman. In order to achieve her goal, she will definitely try to cover it up.”

Xing Zhongwan looked serious, “What did you promise her?”

Qi Yun turned his head away, “Don’t worry about it, even if it’s just my own selfishness. I don’t want you to leave.”

Xing Zhongwan laughed angrily at him, “Qi Yun, wake up, okay? Even if you can get a marriage certificate, it’ll be fake. It has no legal effect, and if I really wanted to leave, can you stop me? Shall we play house and let your mother join us?”

“It’s okay, even if it’s fake.”

Qi Yun’s soft words were blown away by a gust of breeze.

Xing Zhongwan suddenly forgot his anger and covered his forehead, he didn’t know if he wanted to cry or laugh.

After a long time, he said, “You love me too much.”

Qi Yun’s neck turned red again, Xing Zhongwan couldn’t help it and laughed out loud. His laughter startled a few flying insects in the grass.

Qi Yun pursed his lips tightly, “If my legs are good, if I’m not blind, I…I’ll…”

Xing Zhongwan deliberately teased him, “You! What else can you do, bind me to your side like this? Hahaha, can you fight me with such a frail body? Hey! You!”

Suddenly being pulled down, Xing Zhongwan squatted on the ground, something warm on his lips leaned over, and stared at the turbid eyes in front of him with wide eyes.

Laozi was f/cking kissed again.

Qi Yun moved his lips away reluctantly before wrapping  his arms around Xing Zhongwan’s waist. He put his head on his shoulder and sighed softly, “Wanwan, I will get better, please stay by my side until then. When I get better, we will go abroad to get married. I will give you a legal and stable relationship. This right now is only temporary. Maybe what I am doing now is ridiculous to you, but it is the only way I can keep you. We still have a chance, Wanwan. How would you know we can’t do it if you don’t try.”

Xing Zhongwan was dumbfounded as a kiss gently landed on his ear. The air was filled with the scent of pine wood on his body and the medicinal smell on Qi Yun’s body.

T/N: Qi Yun sure like kisses… He should give plenty of kiths to his waifu to show him how much he loves him (─‿‿─)

There’ll be more plot development from now on, as well as dog-blood drama I guess. With just a sprinkle of moments of the MC and ML giggling like middle school kids after playing a prank on those nasty adults lol

Chapter 14 – Who's one is delicious?

Chapter 14 – Who’s one is delicious?

The black dragon still didn’t eat Jian Luo’s vegetables filled with love in the end. His dragon savior was very arrogant and after a few glances at Jian Luo, he flew away mercilessly, taking a cloud with him.

Jian Luo looked at the black dragon’s back and sighed: “It seems that Brother dragon doesn’t like vegetable salad!”

Secretary Jin just came back from eating and waved, “Luoluo, come here.”

Jian Luo looked to the side sideways and smiled when he saw Secretary Jin: “Is there something wrong?”

“It’s nothing.” Secretary Jin pulled back the fringe on her temples and said with a smile, “It’ll be up to here for today. You can go back earlier.”

Jian Luo was surprised: “Is this all right, but it doesn’t seem like it’s time to get off work.”

Secretary Jin said quickly, “It’s okay, you can go back after you’ve finished your work today. Of course, you can continue to play for a while if you don’t want to go back. I’m just letting you know.”

It was difficult for Jian Luo to control the smile on the corner of his mouth.

Oh my god.

What kind of magical welfare company is this?

If he were to die, he wanted to die here!

Jian Luo said embarrassedly: “Then I have a vegetable salad here. Do you want to eat it?”

Secretary Jin pretended to be reserved: “Is that okay?”

“It’s not much.” Jian Luo gave her the meal box: “It was originally for Brother dragon but he doesn’t seem to be interested. It’s a waste if you don’t take it.”

Secretary Jin quickly took it: “Then, I won’t hold back.”

There was urgent news that the marshal was to go to the palace and it seemed that he would not be back again so Secretary Jin came to leak it to Jian Luo as soon as she got the news.

Hey, wasn’t she smart and witty1She’s so happy she got a free salad from Jian Luo.!?

After Jian Luo gave her the salad, she waved her hand: “Then I’ll get going.”

Secretary Jin smiled: “Goodbye!”

Jian Luo turned around and was about to leave. The little dragons around were very curious about this human being and they all came over and wanted to get close, but they were afraid of Lu Shifeng, so they didn’t dare to get too close.

There was a little dragon with a big courage and he came over secretly.

Jian Luo rubbed on the dragon’s scales: “What do you like to eat?”

The small dragon shook his head in dissatisfaction and patted his tail on the ground. It felt very angry. This human dared to touch the head of a noble dragon!

Jian Luo smiled and walked out the door: “Forget it, you won’t understand me anyway, so I’ll leave now.”

The small dragon stared dumbfoundedly as the human figure disappeared.

Who was the one who didn’t understand?

Come back if you dare!

Of course it was impossible that Jian Luo would come back. He went to the cafeteria to clean up and was about to leave. The information bracelet on his wrist kept receiving messages.

A person named Kazuki sent a message: “Don’t you want to consider coming to Moonlight? Come to us and you’ll have the opportunity to cultivate new varieties of vegetables.”

To grow new vegetables!

Jian Luo’s eyes lit up and he was convinced.

The military base was not far from Moonlight. He said, “Okay, I’ll go take a look.”

Kazuki was very happy: “Okay, I’ll wait for you.”

Jian Luo made an agreement with her and got ready to go there by car. Firstly, it was because he really hoped to cultivate new types of vegetables. The taste of chili peppers have long haunted him in his dreams.

Second was because…

Jian Luo still wanted to buy a house.

However, if you need a Dark Star account to buy a house, and if you require a major contribution to Dark Star, it is definitely not possible to just be an anchor. However, it may be feasible if he were to cultivate new types of vegetables.

When the new vegetables are successfully cultivated, he will apply for a household registration, then maybe he will be able to buy a house for his family!

“We will be arriving at Moonlight at the next station. Passengers who want to get off please take your belongings and exit in an orderly manner.”

The electronic sound of the machine came from the car’s small speaker.

Jian Luo came back to his senses and got out of the car. The Moonlight Hotel was really just like what he’s heard. It was a crescent-shaped building of a brilliant and beautiful golden moon.

He opened the information bracelet and sent a message to Kazuki: “I’m here.”

Not long after the message was sent, a figure appeared at the door. It was a little girl wearing a pink skirt and she looked very young.

Kazuki walked up to Jian Luo: “Hello.”

Jian Luo shook hands with her: “Hello, I’m Jian Luo.”

“I know, I know. It’s too late to explain, but come with me quickly.” Kazuki pulled him into the restaurant in a panic.

Jian Luo was dragged away by her in a daze.

The inside of the hotel is even more resplendent. If the military base only looked golden from the outside, but only had a stylish interior, then this place looked tame on the outside and had a very luxurious appearance on the inside!

The two stopped when they reached the kitchen.

Kazuki said, “You want the right to cultivate vegetables, right?”

Jian Luo was honest: “Yes.”

“Then, you can start by making some special dishes.” Minyue glanced at the time: “Hurry up.”

Jian Luo thought that she was being secretive, but didn’t seem like she was in a hurry: “Are you in a hurry?”

This could be counted as a small kitchen, but although the place was small it was complete, the vegetables and meat were placed in order on the freezer shelf with all kinds of kitchen utensils of the best quality.

Kazuki lowered her voice: “Then, let me tell you the truth. Today is our boss’s inspection day and what he cares about the most is one’s value. Do you know how precious the seeds of vegetables are? You humans don’t bring much to the table. The cost of failure when cultivating is very heavy, so it is difficult to obtain a position as a cultivator.”

Jian Luo: “So what?”

“That’s why you have to prove your worth!” Kazuki’s little tiger fangs pointed sharply: “If you succeed, the boss will definitely use you again.”

Jian Luo looked at her and was silent for a long time: “So you mean, you lied to me. In fact, you didn’t have a quota on the people who are allowed to cultivate vegetables, right?”

Kazuki coughed a little embarrassedly: “Is this important if the ending is good and all the same?”

“…”

After such a reminder, Jian Luo finally realized the seriousness of the matter. In fact, the little girl was right. The right to cultivate was indeed not so easy to obtain. He has to work hard!

He can’t make snacks anymore.

A serious dish is coming!

“Do you need these ingredients?”

“You can use it.”

Jian Luo started to work in earnest. He would work hard to obtain a household registration. On the other side, a top-level luxury car stopped at the entrance of Moonlight and two people got out of it.

Lu Shifeng was wearing a military uniform. With a straight posture, his military cap was held in his slender hands. The man’s face was cold as he glanced at the restaurant indifferently.

Nie Yan came from behind him: “Let’s go.”

Lu Shifeng said: “It’s your inspection day, why did you drag me out here?.”

“My subordinates reported to me that they dug up a good cook.” Nie Yan’s body seemed to be plated with gold: “They should be of good value.”

Lu Shifeng said, “I remember that I asked Secretary Jin to send you an email saying that I will not be ordering Moonlight’s meals in the future.”

The two of them have already walked to Moonlight’s entrance and the waiters stood in a row. Bowing in unison, they said loudly: “Welcome to Moonlight!”

Nie Yan twisted the ring on his finger with a shrewd smile on his face: “It’s not too late to try it first before coming to a conclusion.”

Lu Shifeng sneered: “Aren’t you afraid that I’ll take the chef’s head off if it doesn’t taste good?”

Nie Yan was taken aback.

To be honest, when Lu Shifeng was moody, it’s hard to say what he would do.

“You take it easy.” Nie Yan pushed up his glasses: “His Majesty recently asked you to allow others to have a kind impression of you.”

Lu Shifeng said lazily, “Take the chef’s head off kindly?”

“…”

The conversation was over.

The two of them went to the top floor together. If the decoration in the hall was splendid before, then this was on a whole other level. It was really priceless. As the wealthiest man in the world, Nie Yan has thoroughly implemented the word “wealth” to the maximum.

Nie Yan spoke as he walked: “Did you see the ruby in the middle? I bought it from Neptune for 3,000,000 credits. Its function is to attract wealth from the town building. Not bad, right?”

Lu Shifeng lifted his eyelids and glanced: “It is indeed very good at attracting wealth.”

Nie Yan’s mouth curled into a smug smile: “Really?”

Lu Shifeng said slowly: “Wasn’t it what attracted you to it2He’s saying the previous owner sold it, so now the previous owner is wealthy. While Nie Yan was the one who spent money and bought it.?”

“…”

If you weren’t a dragon, I’d really fight you today.

The two walked in while talking. They would soon reach the dining table. From a distance, they saw three dishes on the table.

Lu Shifeng took the time to relax: “I didn’t know that Moonlight had become so confused to this point.”

Nie Yan was also stunned. He raised his eyebrows and said, “These are just appetizers.”

Kazuki, who was guarding the table next to him, bit the bullet and said, “Boss, these three dishes are all for dinner.”

“…”

Nie Yan and Lu Shifeng came closer and saw what the dishes were. In the middle was a plate of fried shrimp. The golden and crispy shrimp were beautifully arranged, and the delicate plating raised the shrimps to another level. On the left was an egg custard and on the right was four meatballs.

They were all fragrant and seemed very tasty.

Nie Yan calmed down a little and asked Lu Shifeng to try: “Have a taste.”

Lu Shifeng ate two mouthfuls to show him some courtesy.

Nie Yan was a little proud: “How is it? I paid a lot of money to invite them.”

Lu Shifeng said lightly, “Not bad.”

“That’s good then.” Nie Yan made a sound: “The military will continue to order from Moonlight, are there any other problems?”

Lu Shifeng put down his chopsticks: “No, I already have a chef.”

Nie Yan didn’t believe it, the chef he invited at a high price and was willing to spend the quota on, already prepared this unparalleled taste. What other heavenly genius could beat him?

Even if there was someone like that, he’s never heard any news of a chef of such a high caliber in Dark Star at all.

Thinking of this, Nie Yan was confident, “Your’s is definitely not as good as mine.”

“Not as good?” Lu Shifeng sneered: “The dishes on the table are far worse than mine.”

Nie Yan did not believe in heretics: “Really? Then I’ll have to see who’s chef is the true genius.”

Lu Shifeng tapped his fingertips on the table: “I’m also very curious about the talent you hired at a high price.”

T/N: Erm, excuse me, Lu Shifeng… Did you just diss your future hubby’s cooking? Just wait. Just you wait…

Chapter 13 – Gifting a meal to his savior

Chapter 13 – Gifting a meal to his savior

You’re joking – Lu Shifeng is a good person?

Uncle couldn’t bear to look straight at him and sighed: “Are you sure the dragon that rescued you was a black dragon?”

Jian Luo was suspicious: “What’s the problem? Is there something wrong with the black dragon?”

It’s a big problem.

Black dragon and majestic. Just who was that second black dragon in this entire universe? If it was not that person, who could it be? However, the character you described doesn’t quite fit the actual person!

The uncle thought for a while. He felt that Secretary Jin didn’t do much to explain so it would also be appropriate for him to speak less. As such, he said, “If you want to find dragons, you should go to that garden but not all the dragons will be there. Some dragons will follow the troops on missions. Whether you can meet them or not basically depends on fate.”

Jian Luo nodded: “Understood.”

The two chatted for a while before starting to work. Jian Luo saw a jar of white pellets on the shelf and became interested in them: “Uncle, what is that?”

The uncle raised his head: “Those are bandit bird crystals, usually used to remove the gamey smell of meat.”

Jian Luo felt like it could be salt, so he asked, “Can I take a look?”

The uncle had no objection: “You can use it but the taste of this crystal is just average. It is not very delicious, just so you know.”

Jian Luo tiptoed to get the can: “I know.”

The can was opened but there was no smell from it. Jian Luo carefully dug a little out with a spoon, swiped it with his fingertips, and tasted it on the tip of his tongue. A salty taste really began to spread between his lips and teeth. It was really salt!

He has been looking for this for a long time.

Jian Luo was very excited: “Do you usually only use it to get rid of the gamey taste?”

“Yes.” The uncle was very puzzled: “Do you use it for anything else?”

Jian Luo decided to give it a try: “I’ll try making a dish first. If it works then that’s good, but if it doesn’t, don’t blame me for wasting the salt.”

The uncle smiled and said, “Hey, you can use it.”

After getting permission, Jian Luo was ready to cook. Although there were only a few vegetables on this planet, there was no shortage of meat and eggs. He was preparing the ingredients and the live broadcast would begin shortly.

Today’s dish was egg rolls.

It happened to be his first time to try live broadcasting in the military cafeteria. He greeted the camera: “Hi everyone, today we are eating egg rolls.”

The popularity of the live broadcast room was slowly increasing:

“Anchor, I’ve been waiting for your live broadcast.”

“Yeah, how can we buy potato chips if you don’t livestream?”

“I’ll be watching every day.”

Jian Luo limited the number of potato chips to be purchased by allowing only the people who have entered the live broadcast room for at least half an hour to buy it. But because it has not been long since the broadcast started, the people’s grievances ran deep.

In addition to this group, there was another group:

“I came here because it was recommended by the high priest!”

“Good luck, retweet this anchor, and those who worship the lord will get the blessing of the gods.”

“Anchor, please bless me so I excel in my studies.”

Jian Luo watched the live broadcast room in silence and really wanted to complain that he didn’t have this so-called wishing function. If he did, he might as well wish that he could become rich overnight. Was that possible? Of course it was totally impossible!

Sigh.

Forget it, let’s stop with the depressing stuff.

Jian Luo focused on his work: “Our egg roll today uses the egg of the crimson bird. This egg is very nutritious and delicious to make into food.”

There were bird eggs neatly placed on the table as Jian Luo started to beat the eggs. His movements were smooth and the liquid egg lay obediently in the bowl. It was a golden liquid with some bubbles.

“What is an egg roll?”

“Weren’t eggs just boiled?”

“Wow, how are you going to cook it if it’s broken?”

“That’s so raw!”

Because Jian Luo now had permission, he could turn on the holographic sharing mode for the audience to experience the taste of food with him.

Jian Luo explained: “Don’t worry. The taste of the egg rolls made will not be affected.”

In addition to eggs, he also prepared other ingredients. A small cucumber and a carrot. Previously, he couldn’t get these things in Peace Paradise, so now he could finally show his skills.

He cut the cucumbers and carrots into pieces and mixed the greens and reds very nicely. For the interstellar people who only boiled and baked their food, everything in front of them was too much beyond imagination.

“Can these things be eaten together?”

“It feels like this will spoil the taste of the food.”

“Why won’t the anchor continue making potato chips?”

Jian Luo directly ignored the comments of these people and poured the vegetables in, stirring them together and mixing the red, green and yellow egg liquid into a circular shape. At this time, the salt could finally be sprinkled in evenly for some taste.

When the pan was hot, he skillfully brushed a layer of oil: “When you make your own at home, you must pay attention. The eggs cook easily. If you fry them for too long, they will stick to the pan and the rolled up egg rolls will be hard to remove.”

The egg liquid was poured into the pot, and the oil began to make a sizzling sound.

Jian Luo gently slid the egg mixture with a spatula to ensure that the vegetables on top were evenly distributed on each circular piece.

As the heat rose, the aroma of eggs gradually wafted out and many viewers who had opened the hologram could smell it.

“It smells good.”

“Woooooo, I want to take a bite.”

“I just came to buy potato chips. What am I doing here looking at egg rolls?”

As the live broadcast progressed, the popularity of the live broadcast room also soared. Although Jinjiang Live Broadcasting Network now has a lot of new anchors, Jian Luo’s popularity was still unmatched. Halfway through the live broadcast, he quickly moved to the top of the home page’s recommended section.

The egg rolls in the pot gradually began to take shape and Jian Luo curled up the egg mixture to form a small, round roll.

The golden egg roll of the red bird had green cucumbers and a finishing touch of carrots. Its color was pink and pretty, like a colourful rainbow. It was different from the appearance of french fries and potato chips. The egg roll could be said to be both beautiful and delicious-looking, stunning the audience.

“Ow ow ow, it smells too good.”

“Anchor, I have a friend who asked you to have a quick bite.”

“It looks pretty good, but I don’t know how it tastes.”

The holography allowed others to share their sense with the anchor so that everyone can experience the most authentic fragrance and feel the food itself, but only when the anchor starts to eat, can the holographic users truly taste the food.

Jian Luo complied with the request. Taking a piece, he took a bite.

The freshly baked egg roll was soft and greasy. When you bite into it, the rich aroma of the egg spreads from the tip of your tongue. The sweetness of the vegetables neutralizes the greasy feeling that the egg may bring. When you bite into it, the softness and crispiness coexist. When it leaves your lips and teeth, an endlessly fragrant aftertaste follows.

“Tasty!”

“Woooooo, it’s so delicious.”

“It has such a magically salty taste. Why is it so delicious?!”

“One bite is not enough. Anchor, have another!”

Jian Luo said: “Because these meals are the property of my employer, I can’t eat them until my employer eats them. I just tried some to confirm its taste. I can’t open this for purchase but I’ve recorded the taste and will upload it later so everyone has a chance to virtually taste-test it.”

He put the egg rolls aside and said goodbye to the audience in the live broadcast room before ending the broadcast.

Now, he was ready to give Secretary Jin a report. With salt, he made some home-cooked dishes. From stir-frying a plate of shredded potatoes, stewing braised pork, and making soup with eggs and cucumbers, the canteen began to smell good.

Jian Luo packed them into a bowl and said to the uncle, “I’ll go and deliver the meal.”

The uncle waved his hand: “Go, go!”

“Okay.”

Jian Luo packed two layers into the meal box. The upper layer consists of Secretary Jin’s meal, while the vegetable salad below was for the dragon savior.

Although Secretary Jin said that dragons also ate normal meals, he has never served a mighty dragon, so how would he know what a mighty dragon likes to eat?

A vegetable salad would be relatively safe!

“Smells nice.”

Secretary Jin took the meal box and praised him.

Jian Luo smiled: “It’s fine as long as you like it. What else do you need for me to do next?”

Secretary Jin said quickly: “No, no. Usually, only one meal per day is needed. Also, you can walk around anywhere other than the restricted area.”

Jian Luo asked quickly, “Can I go to the garden to see the dragons?”

Secretary Jin’s hands trembled as she bit the bullet: “Yes.”

Are you going to crouch on the Marshal?

By God, there are still people in this world who like to tread close to death.

Jian Luo didn’t know what Secretary Jin was thinking. He took the meal box and went to the sky garden. There were dragons that stayed in the garden every day. In a fountain not far away, a few small green dragons were playing in the pool. He looked around for a black dragon, but didn’t see one.

“He didn’t come today?”

Jian Luo sat down on the ground holding the vegetable salad.

“Ding.”

His message bracelet sounded again. It was that so-called manager of the Moonlight Hotel who just sent him another message. Jian Luo looked around and turned off the bracelet.

To be honest, he thinks his life supported by the military was very good and there is no need to do this.

Some small dragons noticed him and ran over curiously because there was food in the food box, so he kept trying to use his head to cover the food box.

Jian Luo hurriedly hugged the box tightly and said softly, “No, no, this is for my savior.”

The small dragon thought they were playing a game of hide and seek, so the more Jian Luo blocked it, the more excited it became. He ended up being chased, with them being close on his tail.

Jian Luo was caught up by the small dragon after a few steps. He sat on the ground and looked at the dragon’s head that was close to his hand. Stubbornly holding onto it, he said: “You really can’t eat it.”

The small dragon exhaled and wanted to rub at him affectionately.

“Roar!”

There was a low dragon roar. The majestic Dragon King made the garden quiet for a moment.

When Jian Luo opened his eyes, he saw a tall and mighty black dragon standing not far away. The sharp scales shone in the sunlight and were very grand. He was excited: “Brother dragon!”

The black dragon looked sideways.

Jian Luo ran over with the meal box in his arms and said, “Dragon brother, dragon brother, I made something delicious for you. Would you like to try it?”

The black dragon lowered his head to look at the meal box in a condescending manner before leaving without turning around.

“Let’s find a place to eat.” Jian Luo pointed to a small hill without any dragons not far away: “How about there?”

Lu Shifeng didn’t really want to have a picnic outside.

Carrying the meal box, Jian Luo sweetly told his dragon savior: “I secretly made this for you. Even Secretary Jin doesn’t have this. Although it’s all my cooking, this one is full of my love!”

Lu Shifeng: “…”

T/N: Ahaha, that person who asked Jian Luo to bless him in his studies is so me. Please someone pray for me in my studies too awaa ┻━┻ ︵ヽ(`▭´)ノ

Also, wow Lu Shifeng’s brain (,heart and probably also crotch) rlly is in his stomach. He was about to walk away until our cute MC seduced him back with some food LOL

Chapter 27 – Are you disappointed I'm not dead yet?

Chapter 27 – Are you disappointed I’m not dead yet?

It took a long time for Xing Zhongwan to pull himself together and out of his extreme shock. He looked at Qi Yun as if he was looking at an alien. After two months of getting along closely, Xing Zhongwan felt that he had never really got to know this person well.

He sat down again on the chair on the side and moistened his dry lips. Many words ran through his mind but all he could say was, “I’m a man, Qi Yun. Do you swing the other way?”

Qi Yun shook his head.

Xing Zhongwan leaned back on the chair, feeling dizzy. He rubbed his brows, he didn’t know whether this feeling was from drinking or if he was upset.

“When did you find out that I’m a man?”

Qi Yun slowly retracted his hands holding onto Xing Zhongwan’s clothes. Those bandaged hands clenched themselves uneasily, “From the time you brought me to see Chen Ying. I’ve only been suspicious before but from then on, I was sure.”

In fact, he didn’t want it to be true. In his heart, Qi Yun still preferred to believe that Wanwan was a girl.

Xing Zhongwan couldn’t help rolling his eyes, I carried you on my back every day, even to the point of hugging you. How much effort did you spend to brainwash yourself into thinking that I’m a woman? With this voice and figure moreover.

Thinking of this, Xing Zhongwan was not so angry anymore. Instead, he felt a little funny.

“In the beginning, I really thought you were a girl. It’s not that I didn’t have any doubts with your voice like that… But they kept calling you Miss Xing, so I thought you were just taller and stronger than average, with a deeper voice too…”

Qi Yun took a deep breath, “But as I spent more time with you, I felt less uncomfortable. But I convinced myself and still hoped from the bottom of my heart that you were a girl. That was until I took you to meet Chen Ying. Chen Ying definitely informed Shen Qinghong that you are wearing the bracelet.”

After that, there was no movement from the Shen family. By then, I was finally sure that you were not a woman. But after, you were taken away by my mother and managed to come back safely in the end. That was when I had to face reality. If you were a real woman, my mother would never let you stay by my side.”

Qi Yun spoke very slowly, word by word, and it tugged on Xing Zhongwan’s heart.

Why didn’t the Shen family make any moves after knowing that he was a man?

Why did Qi Yun’s mother let him go after finding out ‘Miss Xing’ was a man, Xing Zhongwan wasn’t interested in knowing.

Qi Yun twisted his hands. Seeing that the bandages on his hand were about to loosen, Xing Zhongwan grabbed his wrist and said, “Don’t. Do you want the doctor to come again in the middle of the night?”

Qi Yun stopped, “Wanwan, I don’t like men, but I like you. After I fell in love with you, I found out that you were a man. What can I do? Can love be taken back just because you want to take it back? I didn’t dare say this because I didn’t want to scare you. Being liked by a man who is blind and also crippled, I… I was afraid you would leave…”

Xing Zhongwan’s anger almost ceased after he watched Qi Yun lower his head and explain this carefully. It was inexplicably odd to see Qi Yun act like a primary school student who had done something wrong.

“As for the matter of calling me a girl over and over again, did it feel very good to play ignorant?”

Xing Zhongwan deliberately lowered his voice.

Qi Yun raised his head sharply, “No, Wanwan, I…I…”

Xing Zhongwan felt like a bully who just bullied a woman from a good family. Qi Yun’s confused look was very fun to watch, yes, but blatantly bullying earnest people will make you feel somewhat ashamed.

Xing Zhongwan bent down and approached Qi Yun, “Qi Yun, maybe this feeling of yours is an illusion because I was there to help you in your most difficult time, so it’s normal for you to depend on me. It’s not the kind of love between men and women that you think. When you get better in the future and have a new life, you will soon forget me. I was just an accident in your life. There’s nothing wrong with you for having these accidental feelings.”

Xing Zhongwan wanted to convince him that it was impossible for two men to be together!

Qi Yun’s face turned pale and blue, but he turned to face Xing Zhongwan’s direction, his cloudy eyes like a pool of stagnant water.

“You are not an accident, and my feelings for you are definitely not abnormal.”

Both his hands grabbed Xing Zhongwan’s hand and slowly placed them between his crotch. Xing Zhongwan’s hand felt like he grabbed a piece of hot coal. He wanted to toss it away. He didn’t know where Qi Yun had managed to find so much strength from but he couldn’t break free for a while. Feeling that the semi-hard thing was gradually heating up, Xing Zhongwan glared at Qi Yun with his eyes open, “You! You!”

Qi Yun put his forehead on Xing Zhongwan’s forehead as the two of their breaths intertwined, “Wanwan, you know that I’ve spent much effort to accept that you’re indeed a man, it’s a fact that I have feelings for you. Please don’t leave. Give me a little time and give yourself a little time. If you don’t try, how do you know that you can’t accept me?”

Xing Zhongwan’s brain exploded. For the first time, he felt Qi Yun’s seriousness, and the hardness in his hands made him unable to avoid it.

Xing Zhongwan was standing on the terrace at the end of the third floor smoking a cigarette. White smoke surrounded his face, and that visage between the real and the illusive image was beautiful and scary.

It’s not that Xing Zhongwan has never been confessed by a man since he was a child. This face has attracted many bees and butterflies since it blossomed at the age of fifteen. What happened to the men who confessed to him in the end? Xing Zhongwan thought about it carefully. They eventually left as they were afraid of getting hurt. Often detouring when they saw each other again. Swinging the braid on the back of his head that had never been cut, he looked up at the bright stars in the sky. Xing Zhongwan, it’s not your fault that you look good, everyone loves your appearance. However, Qi Yun has never seen what he looked like, so how did he fall in love with him? Could it be that he fell in love with what’s on the inside? Xing Zhongwan was disgusted by his own thoughts and accidentally choked.

After thinking about it for a long time, his mind went blank. The only thing I can be sure of is that Qi Yun worked hard to bend himself for him…

Xing Zhongwan thought about it all night and couldn’t come up with anything, so he decided to go back to the Xing family first. As he drove out early that morning, he didn’t notice that a group of cars were slowly driven into the villa. In the middle was a black car with its rear window slightly open. There was a beautiful woman looking at the car that was speeding away like the wind. The corners of her mouth that curved into a sneer went unnoticed.

Madam Qi got out of the car and more than 20 bodyguards cleared the way for her. The old housekeeper had been waiting at the door for a long time. Seeing Madam Qi, she hurried up to meet her. Madam Qi took off her gloves and handed them to the secretary on the side, “Where’s Qi Yun?” The old housekeeper bowed down, “The third young master, Qi Yun is upstairs. Please come with me.”

Madam Qi waved her hand, “So you’re upstairs… Stay down here, I’ll go up by myself. Also, you did a good job, I’ll get your son out as soon as possible.” A hint of gratitude flashed in the old housekeeper’s eyes, “Thank you madam, thank you madam.”

Madam Qi snorted softly. With a bang, she went upstairs gracefully. More than 20 bodyguards stood guard at the entrance of the stairs. The new servants in the villa did not dare to breathe.

Qi Yun was leaning on the bed and didn’t even look up when he heard the familiar sound of high heels. Madam Qi walked into the room, looked around and laughed out loud, “It seems that he takes good care of you. Your complexion is also a lot better now.”

Madam Qi approached Qi Yun and raised his chin with her fingers. Qi Yun looked at her with dull eyes. Madam Qi retracted her finger gently, “You still haven’t changed. Since you were young, you often looked at me like you were looking at a stranger. Even now, you are unwilling to accept it. This is what I hate most. Children who are stubborn will always suffer for it.”

The sound of high heels reached Qi Yun’s ears little by little. Madam Qi walked around Qi Yun’s bed before finally stopping.

Qi Yun raised his head indifferently, “Are you disappointed I’m not dead yet?!”

Chapter 12 – Who is the black dragon?

Chapter 12 – Who is the black dragon?

Secretary Jin also panicked.

You couldn’t blame her for this at all. All the Dark Star’s soldiers are strong and good at fighting. They don’t need any special aid to control the dragons to be able to sit firmly on them. Unlike Jian Luo, who was cowardly, yet daring enough to touch the dragon’s horns!

Jian Luo’s “Ahhhh”s made Secretary Jin anxious too. After all, she had no wings!

Jian Luo was in the air when he casually saw that the ground was still a hundred meters away from him. In that instant, he almost carefully considered his last words.

I didn’t expect to die at the hands of the dragon in this life. I’m afraid it will be the talk of the underworld for several years.

“Hoo!”

A gust of wind blew and Jian Luo closed his eyes, waiting to die, but he suddenly felt that his body was not falling anymore. There was still a rapid wind in his ears, and he didn’t dare open his eyes, so he could only feel around with his hands. At first, it was a little cold and hard to the touch. There were many tiny pieces, and a bit of a sharp edge to them. They kind of felt like… scales.

Was he saved?

Seems like even that little golden dragon still had some conscience.

Jian Luo happily opened his eyes, but what he saw was not a little golden dragon, but a huge black-winged dragon full of explosive power that screamed danger. This black dragon was several times bigger than the little golden dragon. It was very spacious on its body, but it also made him feel very timid.

The dragon descended slowly and finally stopped on the ground. Jian Luo was so frightened that he didn’t dare to move, but the black dragon didn’t impatiently throw him off.

Secretary Jin stood not far away. She buffered1Like when the Youtube video you want to watch is buffering. It means loading… for a long time before daring to come over: “No… Are you okay?”

Jian Luo’s heart was beating rapidly, and he said slowly, “I’m okay.”

“…”

If you’re okay, then hurry up and get off the marshal!

It’s not that Jian Luo didn’t understand her, but his legs were soft and he couldn’t move at all. He didn’t want to expose his current situation to Secretary Jin, so he could only sit with a monotone face and thank his savior in the meantime.

Jian Luo patted the black dragon on the back, smiled and said, “Brother black dragon, thank you for saving me.”

The black dragon had a pair of blood-red eyes. Compared to the ruby red of the golden dragon, the blood-red eyes of the black dragon were very penetrating, and it was as if he was being stared at by an extremely dangerous and bloodthirsty beast.

Just look at Jian Luo, his entire body was shocked, and he almost shit himself.

Jian Luo’s legs became weaker as he lay on the black dragon’s body: “Brother black dragon is indeed a hero among people, a leader among dragons, and I am truly grateful for you saving my life. I’m guessing that with your noble character, you won’t be expecting anything in return…”

Secretary Jin: “…”

You’re so dead.

From the time she enlisted in the army up till now, no one has ever dared to lie on Lu Shifeng’s body. The entire world knew that the dragon clan’s Dragon King was a black dragon and the last black dragon in the universe. It was rumoured that Lu Zhifeng’s dragon form could destroy a planet.

He was such a terrifying dragon, but now, a weak human was sitting on his body, completely unaware of danger. He even dared to touch the dragon’s scales, how presumptuous!

The black dragon turned its face sideways and those blood-red eyes met the shivering Jian Luo.

The courage that Jian Luo had finally mustered disappeared immediately and he climbed down while trembling: “I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I’ll come down now.”

His legs were weak and he could only crawl off with both his hands and feet. His hands felt the dark dragon’s scales. From such a close proximity, he found that they were not pure black, but were densely covered with dragon patterns. The shapes of these dragon patterns were all different and looked strange.

As he was distracted, coupled with the worn soles of his shoes, Jian Luo’s center of gravity was unsteady and he was about to fall down.

At this critical moment, the dragon’s tail swung over and caught the human nonchalantly.

“Well……”

With the help of the dragon’s tail, Jian Luo fell on the grass without any harm. The feeling of being back on the ground made him realize that he was still alive.

Secretary Jin hurried over to help him: “Are you alright?”

Jian Luo shook his head and then quickly looked at the black dragon: “Thank you, Dragon big brother.”

After thinking about it, he felt that this was not enough praise. A bright smile appeared on Jian Luo’s face and he added: “You really are a good dragon!”

Secretary Jin went suspiciously silent.

This was really a sentence that will make his subordinates go silent when they hear it, and also make the enemy cry when they hear it.

Lu Shifeng turned his head and the huge dragon spread its wings. Ignoring the stupid human, he flew away.

Jian Luo fell on the ground and looked on: “Brother dragon is so handsome.”

Secretary Jin nodded.

“What do dragons like to eat?” Jian Luo was still grateful: “Brother dragon saved me. If only I could repay him.”

Secretary Jin was thinking about the contract he signed, Wasn’t it up to you what he ate?

But the marshal didn’t stay behind, so presumably he didn’t want this human to know his identity? Then she too couldn’t tell the truth.

Secretary Jin spoke honestly, “Dragon eats vegetables and meat. They will also eat the food you cook.”

Jian Luo said, “Okay, I see.”

…………

On the other side

As potato chips and popcorn exploded on the Internet, it naturally attracted the attention of many people.

Dark Star’s chefs are no exception.

At the very center of Dark Star’s Sky City stood the tallest building called “Moonlight”. This is Dark Star’s culinary city and the customers who can come here to spend their money are either rich or high-class people. The chefs here are naturally the cream of the crop and the best in their field.

“Brother Lin, these are the latest products from the live broadcast sites.”

The little girl brought a few dishes.

The person known as Brother Lin stood in front of the cook’s stove. He turned around and glanced at the plates after hearing this and was a little puzzled: “Why are there dishes from other websites this time?”

The little girl said: “There is a small website that recently came up with a wonderful dish, I think you need to try it.”

Brother Lin smiled: “I really want to try the dish you called wonderful.”

The little girl put a few different porcupine meat dishes sent by the Interstellar Food Network in front of Brother Lin first: “as always, let’s see if you like this first.”

Many live broadcasters will innovate new dishes every month. It was not only to allow the audiences to eat them, but also to be able to reach the stars and serve them at the dining tables of big restaurants, which was a great honor for them. This was especially so if they were eaten at the Moonlight. If it was listed in Moonlight, not only can it bring high-end group traffic to the live broadcasting room and platform, it also meant that your name held a considerable amount of weight.

Brother Lin picked up a piece of meat with a pair of chopsticks and tasted it: “Fat but not greasy. Not bad.”

The little girl said, “The other one?”

“Slightly inferior.” Brother Lin sighed and put down his chopsticks: “But they have almost the same flavour.”

The little girl frowned and pushed the fries to him: “Try this one.”

Brother Lin frowned. Was there nothing else? It was just some golden strips casually placed together in a random manners. As such, the original appearance of the potatoes could not be seen. The surface looked hard and had lost its prior softness of a potato.

“You call this a wonderful dish?” Brother Lin couldn’t agree any less.

The little girl gave a “tsk”: “Don’t jump to conclusions too quickly. You have to taste it first.”

Brother Lin couldn’t wait to do so. He pinched one and put it in his mouth. The French fries were kept golden and crispy by the recording device like they were just fried out of the pan. The initial mouthfeel was not the soft and glutinous of boiled potatoes, but instead, crispy and sweet. The oil worked its magic on the potatoes, bringing out a surprising sweetness that stimulated the taste buds when eaten.

The little girl propped her chin up and smiled: “Is it good?”

A hint of satisfaction appeared in Brother Lin’s eyes: “The boss is coming for an inspection at the end of this month. He has always asked for innovative and unique dishes. These fries are great.”

The little girl was curious: “What do you mean?”

Brother Lin came to a conclusion without thinking much: “This anchor is very talented and the broadcasting platform won’t provide him space for growth. Let him come to the Moonlight.”

“Yay!” The little girl almost jumped up: “Great! I can eat French fries every day now!”

“…”

You’re thinking nonsensical things.

Jian Luo in the military base didn’t know that he was being judged. He was happily cooking in the cafeteria. The conditions here were indeed better than at home. The most surprising thing was while he only had potatoes and corn at home, because the other vegetables couldn’t be purchased even if one wanted them. It was different here.

The 21 latest developed vegetables were all here!

The cook in the cafeteria was a middle-aged uncle. He was cutting meat and Jian Luo was to the side, peeling potatoes. The uncle said, “It’s not easy for a human like you to end up here today. Did Secretary Jin bring you here?”

Jian Luo nodded: “Yeah!”

“Has she given you a tour of our place?” The uncle raised his knife and slashed the meat piece by piece: “Although there are some restricted places, such as the areas where the military train and fight that you can’t enter, you are free to go to other places built for leisure and entertainment.”

Jian Luo washed the peeled potatoes in the water: “Yes, I even saw a dragon.”

The uncle was a little proud: “They are beautiful. Only our military has dragons in the entire universe. You won’t see them anywhere else.”

Jian Luo said, “They’re really beautiful, but too dangerous. I was almost thrown off one today, but I was rescued by another kind-hearted dragon.”

The uncle was a little curious: “Did something happen? Which dragon saved you?”

When Jian Luo thought of the life-saving dragon he was grateful to and a smile appeared on his face: “It’s a very majestic black dragon with a good heart. If it weren’t for the dragon, I might have fallen to my death. By the way, do you know what that black dragon is called? I want to prepare some food for it to repay its kindness.”

Uncle: “…”

T/N: I’m so glad to finally see the ML’s dragon form uwu. If you are one of my earlier readers, you probably know how much I love, love love dragons!!! (Ps, I love them soo much) See you guys tomorrow! Feel free to leave some comments to keep me company 😀

Chapter 11 – Touched the Dragon’s Horns

Chapter 11 – Touched the Dragon’s Horns

It was only after Su Liang came home that she learned about her two children dropping out. Jian Luo thought she would cry or make trouble, and even thought about how he would stop her if Su Liang wanted to apologize to the teacher.

But Su Liang just pulled back the stray strands of hair on her temples: “Mom is going to cook.”

His younger brother said uneasily: “Mom…”

“You have grown up and have your own ideas.” Su Liang touched his face: “Mom can’t control you.”

Jian Luo felt a little distressed. He walked over and poured a glass of water for his mother: “Mom, I will transfer school for Ah Sheng, don’t worry about it.”

Su Liang sat on the sofa: “Luoluo, do you know how difficult it is to transfer?”

Jian Luo said, “I will find a job.”

“But you’re just a child too!” Su Liang suddenly raised her voice. She didn’t cry just now, but now the tears came streaming down: “You turned 20 last month and mother personally saw your coming-of-age. It’s all my fault that the family has no money. Mother is not capable, so she doesn’t have the right to ask you to take on all this yourself.”

Jian Luo patted her on the shoulder: “I’ve grown up, mother. Who said you are not capable? You have raised me and my brother for the past 20 years and you are the greatest mother. It’s not that we, Ah Sheng and I, are not going to school anymore, it’s a matter of transferring schools. I’ll take care of it.”

He spoke loudly and gave off an indescribable sense of trust.

.

Su Liang raised her head and looked at his face. What she saw was the firmness and maturity on her child’s face. Inexplicably, her heart felt touched.

Yes, although life is hard, it won’t be more difficult if she were to cry. Everything will be fine, right?

The next day

It was rare for Jian Luo to get up early and today was the day he was going to Sky City.

It is necessary to take a hover car from Peace Paradise to the other side. There is only one hoverbus available for each day in Peace Paradise, and it arrived early in the morning, so he has to go there early.

Su Liang said, “Mom will send you there.”

Jian Luo: “No, I’ll be back soon after I go.”

“What nonsense are you saying?” Su Liang came over to arrange his clothes and she said, “Don’t try to lie to your mother. You’re actually going for an interview, right?”

“…”

Not really.

However, Su Liang’s words gave Jian Luo an idea. It would be great if he could find a job there. This body was really too weak and asking him to farm would be a disservice. Maybe he could find a job there. How about working in a restaurant?

That’s a good idea.

Jian Luo smiled and said, “I will work hard!”

Su Liang touched his head and took him all the way to the station. The two hugged before leaving. The woman looked down and saw a red mole on Jian Luo’s shoulder.

Seeing that she didn’t speak, Jian Luo asked, “Mom, what’s the matter?”

Su Liang smiled and said, “Mom was looking at your mole. It still hasn’t faded.”

“It’s been there since I was a child and I can’t seem to get rid of it.” Jian Luo didn’t care. When the car arrived, he got up and waved: “Mom, go home. I’ll come back at night after buying meat!”

Su Liang nodded lightly and watched him leave, the smile on her face gradually faded.

Her son…

never had that mole.

The Castle in the Sky.

This was the most developed magic capital of Dark Star, and it was where the highest technology was gathered. There are hover cars driving in the air and all of the houses are built in the clouds. The driving route of the vehicles here is very interesting. Although it appeared as though there were no tracks, whenever a vehicle passes by, a silver rail will appear under it for the purpose of steering. After the vehicle passes by, the silver rail will automatically disappear again after the heavy pressure is gone, and the sky will return to its blank slate again.

An electronic sound came from a floating panel in the air not far away:

“The weather is fine today and wind speeds level is 3. The financial clouds are headed towards the southeast, while for marriage, it is towards the upper north. The dopamine-reading station detects a mood level of 66%.”

Just as Jian Luo was listening, a discussion came from behind:

“This Saturday, the high priest did the divination!”

“The high priest said that there will be wealth from the southeast, so it must be true.”

“Marriage from the north side? Oh my god, don’t be ridiculous. Isn’t the north side a military base?”

Listening to their chat as he was looking out the window, Jian Luo heard a broadcast from the car:

“We are about to enter military jurisdiction with the next stop. Passengers who want to get off, please bring along your personal belongings. Passengers who wish to stay in the car should be careful of their words and deeds. Thank you.”

The hover car stopped quickly, and Jian Luo got out of the car.

The military base was docked on a lonely floating island. Its entirety was golden in colour and very shiny. So much that it really blinded the eyes of others, like a mountain of gold.

“…”

What an eccentric designer.

Jian Luo walked to the gate of the military defense and there were two soldiers standing in front of the gate. The dark star man was tall and mighty: “Do you have a pass?”

Jian Luo hurriedly showed him the QR code that Secretary Jin gave him.

The soldier nodded: “Please wait a moment.”

After a while, Secretary Jin came out. The woman was beautiful, and the youthful skin on her face was something to be envied for.

Jian Luo smiled: “You are more beautiful than I thought.”

Secretary Jin was inexplicably happy: “Really? You are not what I imagined too. For the chef to be so young.”

Jian Luo said, “I look a little young, but I’m actually an adult.”

“You’re still too young.” Secretary Jin smiled: “The youngest soldier here is 60 years old.”

Jian Luo was taken aback: “Really?”

Secretary Jin thought he didn’t understand, so she explained: “That’s not too old, our marshal here is over 700 years old.”

“…”

Damn.

In Jian Luo’s mind, the image of a white-haired old man walking on crutches had already been drawn. It was unexpected to him that the famous Lu Shifeng was so old. He then chatted with Secretary Jin and they both entered a conference room while talking. There, Secretary Jin and Jian Luo talked about cooperation and soon reached an agreement.

Before leaving, Jian Luo had an idea: “I’m sorry, may I take the liberty to ask something?”

Secretary Jin held the contract and said generously, “Sure.”

“Actually, I just left school.” Jian Luo said, “I want to find a job, so I want to know t if there is any hotel restaurant that’s hiring.”

It was, in fact, quite presumptuous to ask this.

Jian Luo thought for a while and added: “Of course, I’m only asking. If it’s troublesome, you don’t have to worry about it.”

Secretary Jin understood, she said, “Do you have any requirements for work?”

Jian Luo shook his head: “Only that it has to be convenient for me to go home. Other than that, there are no other requirements.”

Secretary Jin felt that the child was quite sincere. After remembering the dopamine problem explained to her by the marshal, she simply replied, “Would you like to come to work in our military?”

Jian Luo was taken aback: “What?”

Secretary Jin walked him out. While the military base looked golden on the outside, the interior decoration style was more subtle but still luxurious. She gave a tour as she walked: “Our cafeteria has always been short of a chef who is good at preparing vegetables. If you want, you can work here.”

In the beginning, Jian Luo’s original intention was just to find a place to transfer to. After his younger brother went to school, he could resign or something, but if he came to the military, that would be difficult to do. He was not that stupid.

Thinking of this, he said, “Thank you for looking out for me, but…”

Secretary Jin hurriedly said: “Don’t worry, you don’t need to cook meals for the whole army. You can just continue to cook customized meals, just one or two meals a day. Oh, I know you live broadcast too so your equipment for live broadcasting is at home and it is inconvenient to prepare the ingredients. As such, you can use our military’s equipment, all for free.”

Jian Luo: “This…”

Secretary Jin smiled: “A month’s salary is 100,000. Weekends are off and there is a car that’ll pick you up and drop you off.”

Jian Luo: “It’s my honor to work here.”

Was this the so-called feeling of the further you are away from home, the more money you’ll be able to earn?

Secretary Jin was overjoyed: “Then, I will show you the kitchen and the other places in our base. Let’s get you acquainted with the working environment!”

Jian Luo nodded: “Okay!”

Secretary Jin was indeed very happy. The marshal has not eaten these days, and her workload became surprisingly large, so Jianluo was her saving grace. The next time the marshal gets angry, she will let the mascot cook and send his cooking over. That’ll easily solve everything.

Nevermind 100,000 credits. To make that Demon Lord happy, even 1 million credits is a trivial matter!

“Ding Dong”

The machine door opened.

The two people who came out of it entered the back garden of Nuoda, where the flowers and plants were lush and there were many flying dragons in the air. A dragon spread their wings, showing off their large figure. The scene in front of them was enough to make a person’s heart jump quickly.

Jian Luo was surprised: “Dragons?”

Secretary Jin nodded: “These are battle dragons. They can be used for fighting, but if they have nothing to do on the weekdays, the group of dragons will rest and play here.”

Jian Luo had a dazzled expression on his face: “This is so cool!”

Seeing that he liked it so much, Secretary Jin simply asked, “Do you want to ride one? You can give it a try.”

A Royal Dragon!

Just thinking about it was cool!

Jian Luo’s eyes were full of excitement. By nature, he liked to play, but he was still a little afraid: “Is it possible that it will be dangerous?”

Secretary Jin said: “Our war dragons were all trained in an orderly manner. Although the dragons are a very proud race, the war dragons here are very docile and will not attack people. Don’t worry!”

Of course, they are docile. With the Dragon King here, which dragon would dare to make trouble.

Jian Luo smiled: “Okay then. I want to try.”

So Secretary Jin picked a little dragon and came over. The little dragon was golden-yellow. When under the sun, its scales would shine and glow with dazzling light. Its eyes were ruby red and it was shaking its head gently.

Jian Luo carefully touched its scales: “It’s so beautiful!”

As if it could understand him, the small dragon raised his head proudly, probably showing him that he could try him out.

Just like this, Jian Luo gained a short-term friendship with a dragon. He carefully mounted the dragon. At first, he wanted to turn his head and ask Ai Jin if she had any seat belts, but the golden dragon suddenly flapped his wings and took off, and Jian Luo, who was sitting lazily, was suddenly caught off-guard. Subconsciously, he tried to find something to grab and held onto the golden dragon’s horns indiscriminately: “Slow down…”

The golden dragon turned his head, a little sullen. This person dared to touch the horn of a noble dragon, huh?

Jian Luo just got used to the wind speed, raised his head. As a result, the golden dragon suddenly flipped 360 degrees in the air angrily. Jian Luo, who was caught off guard, didn’t hold onto it firmly. When his hand lost its grip, the world around him seemed to spin and his entire body also tumbled. Without anything to hold onto, he tumbled into the air and fell down.

The surrounding scenery changed rapidly, he went into a freefall in the air. Jian Luo was completely dumbfounded and cried out, “Help!”

Chapter 26 – I like you

Chapter 26 – I like you

It was very quiet inside the car. Xing Zhongwan and Qi Yun were sitting on different sides and the gap between them was more than enough to fit two people. Xing Zhongwan was angry, very angry. God knows that after what Qi Yun said, it almost made him throw another punch at him. Anyway, he couldn’t bear to look at Qi Yun right now. He was played around by him like a puppy. I was afraid that I was the one who misled you. Unexpectedly, you already realized it a long time ago. Was it fun to watch me make those blunders?

The car stopped in front of the villa and Xing Zhongwan opened the car door angrily before going straight inside by himself. The driver looked at Qi Yun, who only leaned aside and closed his eyes to rest.

Xing Zhongwan walked halfway inside before turning back angrily. He opened the door and glanced at Qi Yun with his head down, “I will help you into a wheelchair,” he said harshly. The driver on the side quickly moved a few steps away.

Qi Yun opened his eyes, his eyes were downcast and Xing Zhongwan didn’t know whether he agreed or not, but he didn’t have the time to watch him pretend to be autistic. He carried him out of the car and put him in the wheelchair.

Qi Yun whispered in his ear, “Wanwan, don’t be angry.”

It would be alright if he did not say a word but Xing Zhongwan got more angry after hearing this. He yelled at the driver who was about to sneak out of sight, ”Do you not have eyes?! Push your third young master inside!”

Everyone in the villa knew that Miss Xing was angry, but even the Third Young Master ignored it. While Miss Xing was angry, the Third Young Master did not feel well. He didn’t eat and he stopped his efforts in physical rehabilitation. He sat alone on his bed, dazed. The old housekeeper tried to feed him, but he wouldn’t eat.

Xing Zhongwan couldn’t stay here any longer so he took his car keys, put on his coat and went out.

At the sound of the car starting, Qi Yun couldn’t help but raise his head. The expression on his face was pretty bad, “He’s leaving?”

She didn’t know if he was talking to himself or asking her. The old housekeeper trembled as she replied, “He’s going out.”

Qi Yun closed his eyes before striking the bedside lamp on the table onto the ground. The loud noise made the old housekeeper shut her eyes in a panic. Qi Yun clenched his fists tightly, his forehead exuded fine sweat. He slapped his legs harshly with his palms once, then twice, and thrice…

The old housekeeper’s face turned into one of fright.

Qi Yun hit himself more than a dozen times until the pain in his legs that had initially recovered came back. He flipped open the quilt only to remember his body’s condition when he suddenly fell to the ground. The porcelain shards pierced into his body and blood began to seep out little by little. The old housekeeper covered her mouth, “Third Young Master!!!”

She wanted to reach out and help but Qi Yun smacked her hand away with great force, “Get out!!!”

He shouted hoarsely as both of his hands tightly gripped the porcelain shards on the ground. The piercing pain helped him forget the coldness he was feeling.

The smell of blood gradually thickened and Qi Yun’s consciousness gradually became blurred. Before he fainted, the old housekeeper who was so frightened that he collapsed to the ground only heard one word, “Wanwan…”

Xing Zhongwan took Xue Qing out for a drink. Xue Qing looked at Xing Zhongwan, who was drinking wine like it was water. She felt like he was about to have a headache and snatched his bottle of liquor away, “Didn’t you say that you weren’t going to spend the rest of your days with him? He already knew you were a man from the very start, why are you so angry?”

Xing Zhongwan lay back on the large sofa, “Laozi’s just bored. After being played like a monkey for so many days. I even teased him back. Everyone else already knew from the start, they were just watching the show.”

Xue Qing held a cigarette in her mouth, “Who told you to run your mouth and flirt back? Didn’t you think you were headed in an odd direction?! Lao Xing, Qi Yun has known for a long time that you’re a man, yet he still treated you like this. He’s taken an interest in you and likes you, hahaha.”

Xing Zhongwan grabbed the banana chips on the table and threw them at Xue Qing, “Shut your trap. I’m getting annoyed to death, yet you’re still here making fun of it. Plus, I still have to go back there to face him. Thinking about it gives me a serious headache.”

“What are you having a headache for? Just accept it. It’s already played out like this after so long. If you raise Qi Yun well, he’ll also become quite a rare specimen.”

Xue Qing’s laughter made Xing Zhongwan’s anger rise again. He picked up some clothes by his side and opened the door.

Xue Qing was lying on the sofa as she laughed, “Hey, you’re leaving already? Why can’t I say a few more words about your predicament?”

Xing Zhongwan walked out of the partitioned lounge irritably. Before he took a few more steps, a hot young lady approached him. After bumping into him, a pair of soft and lithe hands seemed to inadvertently stroke his cheeks. Her bright red lips were brought close to his ears, “Hey cutie, do you want to have some fun?“

Xing Zhongwan raised his brows, and the corners of his mouth twitched slightly, “You can do whatever you want.”

In the dim bathroom, the woman’s dirty-blond hair bobbed on top of Xing Zhongwan’s c-ck. Xing Zhongwan held a cigarette between his mouth and pressed his hands into the woman’s head, “Go deeper.”

There was some intonation in his voice, but his eyes were glassy.

As the woman began to take off her tight-fitting top impatiently, Xing Zhongwan snorted and just wanted to tease her slowly, when his phone rang.

He picked it up, “Miss Xing, things are not looking good. The third young master fainted!”

Xing Zhongwan pushed the woman away from his cr-tch and quickly pulled up his pants. The woman looked at him with dissatisfaction and wanted to slither back to his body but Xing Zhongwan took out a stack of money from his wallet and stuffed it into her short skirt before hurriedly opening the door, quickly leaving the bathroom.

He sped on the roads all the way back to the Qi’s villa. When he arrived, the doctor had just left. The doctor greeted Xing Zhongwan before leaving. Did they change the doctor? Xing Zhongwan didn’t have time to think about why a different doctor had appeared. As soon as he entered the room, he was frightened by Qi Yun’s appearance. His hands were covered with gauze and he was lying on the bed as he stared blankly at the ceiling.

Xing Zhongwan walked over, his face dark and scary, “How did this happen?”

The old housekeeper standing at the door closed the door silently as she left. Xing Zhongwan’s voice just now was not much better than Qi Yun’s. If the sound of a voice could kill people, he’s one would be as sharp as a knife that can physically harm someone.

Hearing Xing Zhongwan’s voice, Qi Yun finally had some reaction. Wanwan came back.

It’s just that the prior fresh pine wood scent was mixed in with the smell of someone else’s perfume, which made Qi Yun couldn’t help but gag.

“Where have you been?” Qi Yun’s voice was cold, and the joy of Xing Zhongwan’s return was overtaken by the inexplicable smell of another’s perfume.

Xing Zhongwan drank a bit too much tonight so he was a little drunk, “You haven’t answered me yet, what happened here? Does it have anything to do with where I went? You know that I’m a man so don’t you say anything about it not being safe for girls to go out at night.”

Qi Yun really fell silent, Xing Zhongwan held his breath and sat on a chair on the side. Angry, he kicked the foot of the stool abruptly.

After a long time, Qi Yun’s voice came back again, “I’m sorry.”

Xing Zhongwan snorted coldly, “Apologizing to me… What are you sorry for? Simply apologizing to me. Doing all those ambiguous things to Laozi all day long, it’s been fun, hasn’t it, Qi Yun!?”

Qi Yun closed his eyes, his lashes trembling violently, “It wasn’t not fun, no!”

“Then what is it?!” Xing Zhongwan shouted, and the room instantly fell silent. He didn’t even know why he was so angry, Qi Yun only pretended to not know that he was a man. Just what was he so angry about? There was no good reason for his anger.

Even Xue Qing had said that they weren’t going to spend an eternity together anyway. Could it be that he was really overreacting?

Xing Zhongwan wiped his face, got up and wanted to go back to his room when he was suddenly grabbed by Qi Yun next to him. The bandaged hand that grabbed onto his clothes startled him.

“I like you!” Qi Yun’s words left Xing Zhongwan stunned and unable to move.

Qi Yun opened his bloodshot eyes, “Wanwan, I just like you, is that wrong?”

T/N: With Qi Yun acting like that, he really seems pitiful… Aiyah, Zhongwan how can you bully your hubby like that?

Qi Yun: *Puppy eye-ed Qi Yun* I just like you, is that wrong?

Zhongwan: … *internally clutching his heart, feeling extremely guilty*
