Rules of love

Chapter 11

Suo Yang said, “Mr Jiang and that boy are quite suitable.”

Shen Huiming looked back before going out. The drunk and crying guy was still hugging the innocent Jiang Tongyan in a deadly hug.

He smiled and said, “I didn’t think you could joke about it.”

When the two came out, Suo Yang took a deep breath of fresh air and said with a smile, “I’m serious.”

Shen Huiming knew too well what kind of people Jiang Tongyan liked. It was more or less someone like Suo Yang, but no matter what, it would not be someone a little crazy.

But he just smiled and looked at Suo Yang, and didn’t say anything to refute.

“I think it’s quite interesting,” Suo Yang stood on the side of the road and raised his hand to rub his somewhat sore neck, “When two people with completely different personalities get together, their life will be turned upside down.”

Shen Huiming wasn’t sure if Suo Yang had something to say. It would take a lot of work to understand what this person and this person were saying.

“It’s true that a life that’s hardly changes can feel boring,” Shen Huiming said, “So, trying to accept new friends, trying to do things that you never thought you would do before, is a way to relax.”

Suo Yang laughed, “It could also be a new burden.”

“Are you…” Shen Huiming paused just in time.

He originally wanted to ask Suo Yang if he was afraid of change, but he suddenly realized that people like Suo Yang would not like the word ‘afraid’.

He changed his words and asked Suo Yang, “Are you very resistant to change?”

Suo Yang looked at him and smiled, and asked, “Mr. Shen, do you have any cigarettes?”

Shen Huiming didn’t expect him to smoke, so he took out his cigarette case and handed it to him.

Suo Yang skillfully lit the cigarette, took a puff, then closed his eyes and slowly exhaled the smoke.

He had indeed drank a little too much today.

Suo Yang was not very addicted to smoking, especially when he was either at work or at home. He felt that both places were not suitable. He used to have a few cigarettes a day when he was in school, but he gradually quit since he started working.

Shen Huiming quietly stood beside him smoking a cigarette, watching Suo Yang’s profile become ambiguous under the orange street light.

He remembered Jiang Tongyan’s words—I don’t believe you don’t have that in mind about him.

       How could he not?

Shen Huiming just looked at him like that. He was a little restless and ready to create some trouble.

In this regard, the man’s body had always been honest.

But after all, Shen Huiming was not the kind of man who would easily get aroused, and his curiosity about Suo Yang was not just a desire for a physical adventure.

He also took a deep breath and suppressed his desire.

Zhou Mo’s alcohol was too strong, and Suo Yang felt a little dizzy as he leaned against the wall and smoked with his eyes closed.

He didn’t say anything, just tried to keep himself sober and decent.

When he finished smoking a cigarette, Suo Yang opened his eyes and said, “I’m really sorry, I suddenly remembered I have something to do. I have to go first.”

Although Suo Yang didn’t say it, Shen Huiming could tell that he was a little drunk.

People who often pushed glasses and changed glasses on the wine table could actually tell who was drunk to what extent at a glance. No matter how steady Suo Yang was at this moment and how clear his words were, his hazy eyes and slowed speech had completely exposed him.

Shen Huiming didn’t expose him. When dealing with a person like Suo Yang, if you acted too much like ‘you understood’, it would make them more resistant.

Sometimes it was not half bad to feign ignorance.

“Okay,” Shen Huiming said, “Do you want me to pass the message to Zhou Mo?”

“I’ll call him later.” Suo Yang walked towards the side of the road, “Then I’ll go first.”

Shen Huiming followed him diagonally behind and raised his hand to help him call for a taxi.

Suo Yang felt dizzy, a state of real drunkenness that he would have at most once or twice in a few years.

And he was well aware that this state would only become more and more obvious. He couldn’t handle such a strong drink. If he wanted to keep his attitude, the best way is to escape as soon as possible.

That being said, it seemed to be somewhat useless.

But even as a deserter1it refers to how Suo Yang is trying to run away from the place, Suo Yang didn’t want to lose his dignity in front of others.

When the taxi arrived, he reached for the door and missed the handle.

He panicked for a moment, hurriedly calmed down, and forced the door open.

Shen Huiming saw his actions, but he didn’t say a word. He just said to the driver as the other party sat firmly in the car, “Please take care of this.”

Then he turned back and whispered in Suo Yang’s ear, “Be safe and send me a message when you get home.”

Suo Yang smiled at him, “Goodbye, Mr. Shen.”

Shen Huiming helped him close the car door and stood there watching the car disappear into the night.

He lit another cigarette, recalling what Suo Yang looked like just now.

It was very arousing, it was the feeling of being tickled by a cat’s whiskers.

Suo Yang, on one hand, made him feel as if he was as fresh as a mountain forest, tall and straight as a green bamboo, and on the other hand, it made him feel like he was a poppy blooming in the middle of the night, gorgeous and attractive.

He thought of the ‘The Flowers of Evil2Les Fleur Du Mal’, the torch of Satan, a gift of nature.

It was an unpredictable spiritual turmoil.

Shen Huiming waited outside, and the wind was blowing, knowing what he was waiting for.

Suo Yang forced his way to the house, and the moment he entered the door, he slumped on the chair in the hallway.

He leaned against the wall for a breath, raised his hand and rubbed his temples vigorously.

He really couldn’t drink with Zhou Mo, the guy was getting scarier and scarier.

He had just sent a message to Zhou Mo on the way,  telling the other party that he had left beforehand because he had something to do and that he would treat him another day as an apology.

Zhou Mo didn’t reply, he was probably making trouble.

Suo Yang felt light-headed and it felt like his whole body was out of control.

He leaned against the corner, his eyes closed, and his breath was burning hot.

It had been a long time since he drank like this. The wine had melted into his blood, burning him like dry grass that had been set on fire.

       The phone suddenly rang, loudly.

Suo Yang frowned and fumbled, finally taking out the phone that kept making noises from his pocket with a shaking hand.

He picked it up without looking, swallowed hard, closed his eyes, and tried to make his voice sound the same as usual.

       “Hello.” Suo Yang said.

Standing on the side of the road with a cigarette between his fingers, Shen Huiming asked softly, “Home yet?”

His voice pierced into Suo Yang’s ears like electricity, causing him to shiver.

He suddenly opened his eyes, looked at the dark and empty home, and replied calmly, “Well, I just got inside.”

Shen Huiming chuckled, “That’s good, have a good rest, take care of yourself, and see you another day if there’s a chance.”

Shen Huiming’s voice was like a wisp of smoke, swirling around Suo Yang, making him dizzy.

       “Suo Yang?”

“Oh, okay.” Suo Yang lost his concentration. He realized that he had revealed a flaw, “See you some other time, good night.”

He didn’t dare to listen to the other party’s words much longer, the man’s slightly husky voice turned into a gentle ribbon that tightly strangled his throat in his silent home.

       Something was killing him.

When Suo Yang put down his phone, he thought: Maybe I should take a cold shower.

Chapter 10

Shen Huiming also wondered, what exactly was the evidence of liking a person or rather, falling in love with a person?

Your eyes always followed the other person at all times?

Getting attracted to every single action of the other person?

Unconsciously trying to interpret every look and every word of the other person?

Or, when you were just thinking about the other person, the most primitive desire to possess all of them rise up?

Shen Huiming actually didn’t like being in this state of putting too much of his mind on another person. This kind of situation consumes his mind too much, and his life was already busy enough that his time off was constantly squeezed and he didn’t have time to rest. So when emotional matters come into play, it would only makes him more exhausted.

But things had not turned out as he had expected. Instead of being tired, paying attention and trying to get a glimpse of Suo Yang’s matters had sparked his enthusiasm for life.

When he sat back next to Suo Yang, and the two were so close that Jiang Tongyan, who was one step late, could not squeeze himself between the two, he felt that this state was like someone had dropped a bomb into the pool of his life, which was as unchanging as it was, and the splashed everywhere in an instant. It was dangerous and exciting.

In the past 30 years, most of his challenges and self-challenges had come from his studies and career. Now he had finally stepped into another field.

Zhou Mo said, “Ming ge, what are you doing here?”

He narrowed his eyes at Shen Huiming, “Tongyan’s nose was on the verge of wrinkling.”

Shen Huiming smiled and picked up the cup comfortably, “Have a drink?”

“Let’s have a drink!” Zhou Mo and Shen Huiming lightly clinked glasses, then took a big gulp.

Zhou Mo was a smart person. He didn’t need Suo Yang to tell him anything when he sat down here. He could tell from the look in the other two people’s eyes that they had created a love triangle.

He especially wanted to roast Shen Huiming, who had said he would not consider a relationship before. Why was he so excited now?

But Zhou Mo was one of those people who didn’t think it was a big deal to watch the bustling scenes. He was still curious about how Shen Huiming and Jiang Tongyan would pursue Yang.

Suo Yang was more difficult to kick than an iron plate, who could overtake him would really be based on their true ability.

Zhou Mo stood up and twisted his waist happily.

When Shen Huiming turned to Suo Yang, he found that his face had turned a little red, and he knew it was because of Zhou Mo.

This man sat firmly in the corner of the room, with no expression on his face, but his eyes were slightly misty. A state that blurred the line between cold and seductive, making one wonder if he was rejecting you or seducing you.

Shen Huiming asked, “Too much drink?”

Suo Yang’s drinking capacity was actually quite average, especially today, all the wine Zhou Mo brought was strong with the purpose to intoxicate everyone.

But he was also very sensible and would not allow himself to get drunk on any occasion. He has a skill that once made Zhou Mo amazed—even if he had drunk too much, far beyond his limit, as long as he had not returned home, Suo Yang was able to stay awake and even made it impossible for anyone to see that he was extremely drunk. However, once he got home and entered the door, he couldn’t walk a single step and would collapse directly at the door and fall asleep.

Zhou Mo had only seen him in that state once before when Zhou Mo and he were roommates and they were both new to the company.

They were both new to the company, handsome, and were sure to be pestered at the annual meeting.

Zhou Mo was good at drinking, and no one could get him drunk. As a newcomer, Suo Yang certainly couldn’t refuse his seniors’ drink, so they both drank a lot. When the scene was over, the two of them seemed to be in a similar state. Suo Yang’s eyes and face were slightly red, and he was blinking less frequent, but his speech and actions didn’t show that he was drunk at all.

They both took a taxi home together and were chatting normally before they walked in the door. As soon as they entered the door, Suo Yang sat on the stool at the entrance to change his shoes and fell asleep.

       That was the only time.

Zhou Mo didn’t know how many people had seen Suo Yang like this, but he felt that it was pretty awesome anyway.

This man, Suo Yang was very tense even when drinking, and Zhou Mo really didn’t know how to make him relax.

Facing Shen Huiming’s concern, Suo Yang smiled, “It’s okay.”

He looked at the wine glass in front of him, felt a little thirsty, picked it up and took another sip.

“Have something to eat.” Shen Huiming put the pastries on the table in front of Suo Yang, “Your stomach can’t take it if you just drink.”

       Suo Yang smiled, “Thank you.”

Shen Huiming wanted to chat with him as much as possible, but he found that it was too difficult. Unless Suo Yang was willing to take the initiative to tell him some deep stories, no one could pry his mouth open.

Suo Yang stretched out his hand and picked up a pineapple cake. He hesitated when he opened his mouth to bite, and finally took a bite.

The pineapple cake tasted good, but the crumbs fell on him in all directions with this bite.

He lowered his head and frowned.

       Shen Huiming smiled.

Suo Yang looked at him uncertainly, his eyes were full of questions: What are you laughing at?

Shen Huiming said, “I think your expression just now was a little cute.”

       Cute?

It was the first time anyone had used the word to describe him.

“Take a tissue with you.” Shen Huiming handed him the tissue, “Or, I’ll help you take it.”

Suo Yang chuckled lightly, took the tissue and thanked him.

Next to them, on Shen Huiming’s left, Jiang Tongyan was being forced to drink with the dance partner he just met.

“Gege, I’m telling you, I’m really too miserable.” The young man who had danced with him was forcibly holding Jiang Tongyan’s arm, and was already drunk at this moment, “How come nobody loves me? I counted yesterday, in twenty-three years, I’ve been rejected twenty-three times, How come I’m so miserable? Am I not good-looking?”

Jiang Tongyan’s head hurt from his noises and he kept dodging back.

He ducked back and could only crowd in Shen Huiming.

The more he squeezed Shen Huiming, the more Shen Huiming had to get closer to Suo Yang in order to avoid him.

Shen Huiming reluctantly said to Suo Yang, “Sorry, these two are really… Shall we change places?”

At this moment, Suo Yang had been pushed into the corner, and as long as he relaxed, he and Shen Huiming’s legs would stick together.

       That was too ambiguous.

Of course, he knew that Shen Huiming didn’t do it on purpose, and he also saw the drunken scene between the two behind him.

“It’s a little stuffy here,” Suo Yang said, “I want to go out and get some air.”

“I’ll accompany you.” Shen Huiming and Suo Yang stood up together.

As soon as he stood up, Jiang Tongyan, who was leaning on him, fell directly on the sofa, and the “poor little man” who was so drunk and burst into tears threw himself on Jiang Tongyan.

Suo Yang couldn’t hold back and laugh.

Jiang Tongyan felt that this was the end, and he had already been executed before the love rival battle with Shen Huiming had even begun.

He watched the two of them walk out of the room together, and he could only helplessly take a tissue and wipe the tears of the little drunk who was bawling in his arms.

He felt that his life was really bitter. Wasn’t Sou Yang his blind date? Why had he left with someone else?

Chapter 9

When a person has unchaste thoughts for another person, then any sentence the other person says was no longer simple, and every word has an underlying meaning left to the understanding of the listener.

Therefore, when Suo Yang said that he liked the brand of Shen Huiming’s cufflinks, Shen Huiming understood that, at least between him and Jiang Tongyan, Suo Yang was more interested in him.

Of course, Shen Huiming was a very clear-headed person, and he was not a smartass who keep going and talking more. Sometimes it was not appropriate to speak too clearly when dealing with some people.

The two looked at each other and smiled, Suo Yang seemed to inadvertently look away, and continued to handle the song with ease.

Hands held together, veins linking to the heart.

The warmth of the heated fingertips also reached the tip of the heart.

Perhaps he really received some hints of the so-called ‘fate’, and Suo Yang kept thinking about his ‘fate’ with Shen Huiming.

The first meeting was at an altitude of 30,000 feet, and the second meeting was in thousands of square kilometres’ foreign country.

Now, for the third time, he was accidentally introduced to Jiang Tongyan, who had a ‘magical’ relationship with Shen Huiming.

Everything seemed to be implying something.

Suo Yang couldn’t help but pay attention to these successive ‘coincidences’.

He felt that perhaps when they first met, on the sky he was familiar with, someone was playing with their fate on a whim, tying an obscure knot between them.

“What are you laughing at?” Shen Huiming asked softly.

Suo Yang looked at him without hesitation and replied, “I’m laughing that fate is so unpredictable.”

At the end of the song, Jiang Tongyan returned to find his first dance partner as soon as possible. However, Shen Huiming very unkindly refused to let go of Suo Yang’s hand, and said to Jiang Tongyan, “Now he is my partner.”

Jiang Tongyan chuckled, “Can I say something?”

The two men stood on either side of Suo Yang, looking at each other with a smirk.

Suo Yang said nothing, let go of Shen Huiming’s hand, and went back to find a drink.

The man who just danced with Jiang Tongyan passed by them and dropped a line, “When rivals in love meet, both would be green with envy, and you two will have blood dripping from your eyes!”

Jiang Tongyan smiled, “Rivals in love? Are we two rivals in love again?”

Shen Huiming replied seriously, “Depends on how you interpret it.”

He touched his pocket, turned to look at Suo Yang, who was sitting there drinking, and said to Jiang Tongyan, “Let’s go out for a cigarette?”

The two of them needed to have a good chat, just like real love rivals.

Jiang Tongyan followed Shen Huiming to the outside, shut down all the noise in the room, and faced the noise outside.

He took the cigarette handed by Shen Huiming, lit it for the two of them, and asked with a smile in his eyes, “The first time?”

Shen Huiming took a drag on his cigarette and smiled too, “Probably.”

“Tell me about it?” Jiang Tongyan laughed, “I’m quite surprised.”

“I’ve met him twice before,” Shen Huiming said, “Do you believe in love at first sight?”

“I believe in love at the first appearance.” Jiang Tongyan said to him, “You just can see how good-looking some people are.”

“He is good-looking, and you’ve never seen him in a uniform. It’s unforgettable at a glance.” Shen Huiming said, “The first time I saw him was on his plane, I’m not afraid of you teasing me, I asked for his contact information, but he didn’t give it.”

       Jiang Tongyan laughed, “Well done!”

Shen Huiming also laughed, “I thought that was it. I didn’t leave my contact details and I was afraid that we wouldn’t meet again in the future, but to my surprise, it seems that the fate of the two of us has not run out.”

Jiang Tongyan stared at him with a light smile, and the smoke he exhaled slightly blurred the vision between the two of them.

“So now it’s a declaration of war?” Jiang Tongyan asked, “I’m a little nervous now, after all, I’m going back to New York the day after tomorrow, and after all, you’re in the pavilion closest to the water enjoying moonlight first1meaning Shen Huiming is in a nearer proximity to be benefited a lot.”

“It’s not a declaration of war,” Shen Huiming said, “I’m just curious about what you’re thinking.”

He turned around and looked at Jiang Tongyan, “Although I have the confidence to get the moon first, I still want to know if you really want to be with him, or…”

       Jiang Tongyan laughed.

“Old Shen, I’m calling you Old Shen, don’t you understand?” Jiang Tongyan looked at him seriously, “At 30, we both are already clear that neither you nor I are the rash young man we were back then, I am not that naive.”

He took a drag from his cigarette, “Suo Yang is not bad, at least he gave me a very good first impression, he is my ideal perfect lover.”

He smiled and looked at Shen Huiming, “Let me tell you this, gay marriage is now legal in New York and I can give him a stable marital relationship.”

“Do you think this is your advantage?” Shen Huiming also smiled, “Besides, you only met for the first time today. Isn’t it too early to talk about this now?”

After the cigarette was finished, Shen Huiming threw the cigarette butt into the trashcan, “Tongyan, I didn’t think we both could get away with it.”

“I really didn’t think so.” Jiang Tongyan followed him and threw away the cigarette butt, smiling relaxedly, “So it would have been better if we hadn’t reunited?”

Both of them looked at each other meaningfully.

“I suddenly remember one thing now,” Jiang Tongyan said. “The night when the negotiation ended, your assistant drove us, and halfway through you got out of the car to talk to someone and later let us go first.”

Jiang Tongyan asked softly, “The person I met at that time was Suo Yang, right?”

Shen Huiming smiled, “Look, you missed the beginning.”

Old friends met again yet surprisingly they turned tense at their reunion. Although from who they were, it seemed a bit ridiculous to do this for a man that both of them had not yet been intimately acquainted with. Even Jiang Tongyan was a little confused for a moment whether he had to fight with Shen Huiming because he really had to have Suo Yang or whether he simply was annoyed.

“Let me remind you of one thing,” Jiang Tongyan said, “Suo Yang was introduced to me by Zhou Mo. It was you who rejected it at the beginning and then he was introduced to me. It was you who missed out.”

“Let me also remind you of one thing, the so-called ‘introduction’ is a two-way choice, it’s not a one-shot deal.” Shen Huiming lightly rubbed his cufflinks with his fingers, he said, “If Suo Yang also expressed his affection for you and decided to try a relationship with you, I’ll withdraw unconditionally. However, if he doesn’t make a stand, we are all still outsiders in his world.”

Shen Huiming smiled, “We’re done talking and we’re done smoking, shall we go back?”

The two turned around and walked back together.

Jiang Tongyan said, “Old Shen, to be honest, I am very confident to break that curse this time.”

“I’m also very confident,” Shen Huiming said with a smile, “to keep that curse.”

The two returned to the room where the people were dancing wildly. Suo Yang was chatting with Zhou Mo about something while drinking.

Jiang Tongyan said, “I haven’t had sex for more than a year.”

Shen Huiming glared at him, and raised his hand to give Jiang Tongyan another hard slap on the chest, “Behave yourself, don’t be obnoxious.”

Jiang Tongyan laughed and said, “Look at you, I’m just saying about it. I don’t believe you don’t have that in mind about him.”

       How could he not?

Shen Huiming looked at Suo Yang who was sitting there.

Some people’s presence was comparable to that of the strongest wine, which could make you slightly drunk at a distance, and by the time you got closer, you couldn’t wait to get drunk in the smell.

Chapter 8

Suo Yang thought, there are stars hidden in people’s eyes phrase was indeed an exquisite metaphor.

When a person saw something he liked, or someone he liked, their eyes would light up unconsciously. A projection of joy and desire, and was regarded as a shining star.

It was not that he felt such ‘joy’ and ‘desire’ were bad, but in recent years, he had rarely felt such a desire for anything, and rarely had stars in his eyes, as Jiang Tongyan had said.

Suo Yang was a little puzzled and felt that he didn’t think he was too good for Shen Huiming.

Suo Yang smiled at Jiang Tongyan and pointed to the flickering lights, “It’s not a star, it’s a lamp.”

Jiang Tongyan could see that this was a man who would never give in to any outside interference in matters of emotion. Suo Yang was a man who only recognises his own heart.

He didn’t say more, even though the phrase of ‘an outsider can see things more clearly or objectively than those involved’ was already on his lips.

It was better not to recognise it.

Jiang Tongyan thought: Then I would still have a chance.

He had a good impression of Suo Yang, because the Suo Yang he had seen so far was almost infinitely closer to his ideal pf a boyfriend.

He was arrogant but not impatient, intelligent but not c0cky, calm and restrained, reserved and refined.

Everything about Suo Yang fits into the criteria he set for his other half, as if this person was tailor-made for him.

Of course, Jiang Tongyan knew that Suo Yang was definitely not as simple as he appeared, he was a difficult person to figure out, and he didn’t even know how to please him.

Jiang Tongyan meaningfully observed Suo Yang beside him, and Suo Yang, who was being watched had long since noticed the other man’s gaze, but he pretended to be oblivious and looked at the still lively centre of the stage.

Shen Huiming had already been pardoned and got off the stage, but Suo Yang’s eyes did not follow him and stayed on the stage all the time.

“Well?” Jiang Tongyan said to Shen Huiming, who walked back with a helpless smile, “Do you feel like the pressure has been released?”

Shen Huiming sat down and took a sip of wine, then said with a wry smile, “I feel more pressure.”

Suo Yang didn’t join their chat, just watched and listened.

Several muscular men on the stage danced provocatively, and under the cheers of the crowd, they began to slowly pull down the zip of their tights

Suo Yang’s fingers lightly rubbed the wine glass, seemingly watching, but also seemingly lost in thought.

Not far away, Zhou Mo pretended to be shy and pounced on Cheng Sen’s arms, then boldly ran up to the stage to dance provocatively with the dancers.

When the strip show was over, Zhou Mo called out to everyone to drink, and the lights in the whole place were lit up in that ambiguous yellow colour.

Zhou Mo ran over and asked, “How is it?”

He squeezed in next to Suo Yang, the ‘How is it’ referred to how Suo Yang felt about Jiang Tongyan.

Before Suo Yang could answer, Jiang Tongyan took the lead, “It’s pretty good.”

Zhou Mo stared at him with a smile, “Our Yang ge is indeed pretty good!”

Suddenly an idea struck Zhou Mo’s mind, he then drank the wine in his glass, got up and ran again.

The music changed to a soothing dance tune, and Zhou Mo pulled Cheng Sen close, flirting as they danced a duet.

Soon, everyone was looking for a dance partner in the crowd. Before Shen Huiming could extend out his hand, Jiang Tongyan said to Suo Yang, “May I have the honour?”

Suo Yang smiled slightly, put down the wine glass in his hand, got up and put his hand on Jiang Tongyan’s open palm to him.

The two blend in into the dance floor. Even though they were dancing, Suo Yang’s expression didn’t change in any way—he was still smiling, decent but distant.

Shen Huiming was vexed by his slow reaction and was surprised that Jiang Tongyan had taken the lead first.

He was drinking and sitting there with a loathsome face.

Once a man like him was alone, he would be the prey of some people. One hand stretched out, and the owner was a man with a delicate and pretty face with seduction written in his eyes.

The man looked at Shen Huiming and smiled, opened his thin lips, and said to Shen Huiming, “Handsome guy, dancing?”

Without Suo Yang, Shen Huiming didn’t plan to dance.

But when he looked up and saw the two of them on the dance floor, his desire to win suddenly flared up.

He took the man’s hand and led him “unintentionally” to Jiang Tongyan and Suo Yang’s sides.

Suo Yang glanced at Shen Huiming who was holding the stranger’s hand, and watched as the two hooked their hands on each other’s shoulders. Then heard Jiang Tongyan say, “Don’t look at others, look at me.”

Suo Yang withdrew his gaze and smiled at him.

This kind of pas de deux1couple dance was not so much about dancing but about flirting.

Zhou Mo and Cheng Sen were so lovey-dovey that they were on the verge of kissing each other during a dance, and Shen Huiming’s partner was pressing himself against him bit by bit.

But Shen Huiming had a sense of propriety that when the other party stepped closer, he stepped back. The two always maintained their original distance and caused the other party to pout.

“Gege, what’s the matter with you?” the man said aggrievedly, “Do I have body odour?”

       Shen Huiming laughed, “No.”

“Then why are you avoiding me?”

Shen Huiming didn’t answer but looked at Suo Yang subconsciously.

As he did so, the dance partner in front of him also looked back.

“Understood.” His dance partner smiled and said, “Your sweetheart has been snatched.”

Shen Huiming laughed, “It’s not like that.”

       “Watch me.”

His dance partner suddenly pulled him to the side of Jiang Tongyan and Suo Yang while dancing, and even deliberately bumped Jiang Tongyan’s back.

Jiang Tongyan looked back, nodded his head in a very gentlemanly manner and apologised, then ducked to the side with Suo Yang.

The more they avoid, the closer the man pulled Shen Huiming.

Jiang Tongyan laughed, “What does this mean?”

Shen Huiming’s dance partner winked at him, “I didn’t mean it.”

Shen Huiming didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, so he had to pull the person to the other side.

When he saw that they were gone, Jiang Tongyan continued to dance with Suo Yang and said, “Old Shen can be quite childish sometimes.”

Suo Yang smiled without saying a word and danced indifferently.

Suddenly, the music changed, and Zhou Mo shouted, “Swap partners!”

He was like a commander, with one order, everyone was looking for a new dance partner nearby.

Before Jiang Tongyan could react, the person in front of him had turned into the one who kept bumping into him.

He turned back to look for Suo Yang and found that the other party was being held by Shen Huiming around his waist.

Suo Yang said, “You react very quickly.”

Shen Huiming laughed, “Otherwise, how can I snatch you back?”

       Snatch you back?

Suo Yang smiled and said, “Your partner dances well.”

       “You mean you or…”

“The one just now,” Suo Yang said, “I can’t dance.”

“This kind of dance, it’s not about dancing well or not,” Shen Huiming said to him as he looked him in the eyes, “It’s about who to dance with.”

He wrapped his arms around Suo Yang and turned around, facing Jiang Tongyan who was looking over.

       “Tongyan likes you very much.”

“It’s merely just a good impression on the first meeting,” Suo Yang said, “Like is still out of question.”

“What about you? Do you have a crush on him too?”

Suo Yang glanced at Shen Huiming’s cufflinks and said, “I like this brand.”

Chapter 7

Suo Yang didn’t know much about the so-called Five Elements. He only knew about them because he flipped through a book when he had nothing to do, and after a few glances, he remembered it.

As for “reinforce and conquer each other”, how to reinforce? How do you conquer one another?

       He just listened and laughed.

Seeing that Suo Yang didn’t speak, Shen Huiming felt as if he had shot an empty arrow again, which was really a headache.

The two of them sat like this and didn’t speak anymore, Suo Yang looked at the other guests not far from them with a faint smile.

As Suo Yang said, he knew very well that he was not in the same world as Shen Hui Ming and Jiang Tongyan, and this could also be seen from Zhou Mo and Cheng Sen.

Those who came to Zhou Mo’s birthday party were clearly two different groups of people. Part of them was fashionable and playful, unrestrained and crazy, and the other part was unusually refined and elegant even without suits and leather shoes. You could guess which ones were Zhou Mo’s friends and which ones were invited by Cheng Sen.

There was no difference between these two types of people, but the sense of separation made Suo Yang feel dazzled.

But then again, he didn’t feel he was unworthy of anyone, there was no such thing as ‘worthy or unworthy in this world of relationships, only ‘want or don’t want’.

He was not sure what Jiang Tongyan thought of him, but the chances were that he would still politely decline.

It was not only because he didn’t want to integrate into the other man’s life, but he couldn’t give up his favourite job like Zhou Mo in order to spend more time with his lover.

In fact, he pretty much had the same attitude towards Shen Huiming.

“This Zhou Mo is really something,” Jiang Tongyan came back, holding the wine in his hand, “Bringing you here and just leaving it at that.”

By now, most of the guests had arrived. Zhou Mo was flying around like a butterfly, mooching people off everywhere. Cheng Sen was not concerned, he just kept standing on the side to look at him and smiled.

Suo Yang smiled and said, “Fortunately, I’m used to it.”

Shen Huiming said sourly on the side, “Am I not keeping him company?”

Jiang Tongyan glanced at Shen Huiming and deliberately sat between the two again.

“How is it? How’s it going?” Jiang Tongyan poured wine for the two of them and asked this question seemingly without many thoughts.

These three, each with their own worries, and the atmosphere was delicate.

Shen Huiming felt that nothing he said was inappropriate, and he was afraid that Suo Yang would be annoyed by his talkativeness, so he simply kept quiet and watched how Suo Yang would respond.

Suo Yang was unexpectedly frank, “Mr. Shen and I have only met twice by accident, and it’s a rare thing that he still remembers me.”

Jiang Tongyan laughed when he heard what he said, “It’s not that rare.”

He handed the wine glass to Suo Yang, “You leave a deep impression.”

Suo Yang looked at him. On this occasion, he also showed that kind of professional smile that made Shen Huiming very helpless. The corners of his mouth were slightly raised, and his eyes seemed to be smiling, but you never knew whether his smile was real or not.

Jiang Tongyan wouldn’t just guess around like Shen Huiming, but asked bluntly, “Were you all flight attendants trained to smile? Since you came in, every time you smile, the curvature of your smile is exactly the same.”

The smile on Suo Yang’s face froze for a second before he hurriedly put on a lighthearted smile and said, “I’m sorry, maybe this is also a type of occupational disease.”

Suo Yang, who was exposed, felt a little embarrassed, but his embarrassment was not discovered by anyone.

He continued to talk and laugh with Jiang Tongyan and said some irrelevant remarks. Jiang Tongyan was not a grouchy and annoying person. Although he mercilessly exposed Suo Yang’s smile, it only made Suo Yang feel that he might need to keep a safer distance from this person, that’s all, to not create any offence in any way.

In fact, Jiang Tongyan was a good conversationalist and good at finding things to talk about. Because he knew the specific nature of Suo Yang’s work, he started talking about all the countries where the two had visited. Suo Yang didn’t answer often, even if he did it was polite and brief. In the end, they talked back to New York, back to the night where Suo Yang stayed last week, and the meeting he had had with Shen Huiming.

The topic went back to Shen Huiming. Shen Huiming, who sat beside him for a long time without speaking, said with a smile, “Seeing you guys talking so well, I almost thought I wouldn’t have a part to play today.”

Jiang Tongyan laughed, turned around and said to Suo Yang, “I still have a few love-hate relationships with Huiming that we have to talk about.”

Suo Yang, who had no interest in any topic at first, seemed to have finally had his interest triggered and looked at the two people in front of him suspiciously.

Shen Huiming smiled, “It’s too easy for people to misunderstand when you say that, those who don’t know will think that there’s something wrong between us.”

“The two of us did have a problem,” Jiang Tongyan smiled at him, then turned to Suo Yang and said, “We were both undergraduate classmates in New York at the time, and whoever I liked, liked him, just like a curse. I almost went to a shaman to break my curse.”

       Suo Yang smiled, “Really?”

“So, he has a sense of crisis now.” Shen Huiminglooked at Suo Yang with a light smile, “Maybe he would be happier today without me.”

       Jiang Tongyan shrugged noncommittally.

While they were talking over here, Zhou Mo turned off the lights in the room.

Suddenly there was darkness, and the originally bustling venue suddenly became quiet.

Suo Yang looked around in surprise, then met Shen Huiming’s gaze, neither of them said anything, just looked at each other and looked away.

Zhou Mo took the microphone and walked to the small stage that was specially set up for today. He snapped his fingers and a chasing beam of light spilt down.

“Thank you, friends and family, for coming to my concert today.”

       Everyone was amused by him.

“Oh no, it’s not a concert,” Zhou Mo said, standing there solemnly speaking, “It’s my coming-of-age ceremony.”

       Suo Yang burst out laughin.

Shen Huiming noticed that he smiled relaxed this time, not knowing whether it was because the other party was Zhou Mo, or because they were still in the dark at the moment.

He could see that Suo Yang was a person with a strong sense of self-protection, and it was quite difficult to be accepted and recognized by him.

How could he pry open this iron plate and get a glimpse of the world inside?

Shen Huiming felt that he had to meticulously study this to understand him clearly.

“When we arrive at Zhou Mo’s place, we’ll have fun and drink, we’ll get drunk tonight!” Zhou Mo said, “But before everyone gets drunk, remember to send me your gifts first, thank you for your cooperation!”

He made a scene on the stage, and then he snapped his fingers. On the stage came four muscular men dressed so sexy that Suo Yang’s head was full of question marks.

The lights in the centre of the stage were all turned on, both the lights and the people on the stage were too exaggerated, making Suo Yang rub his brows.

That was how Zhou Mo’s birthday party started with the stripper’s performance. The four muscular men on the stage danced with great dedication, and many people in the audience danced along wildly.

Suo Yang was leaning on the sofa while drinking and watching the excitement with a smile. Jiang Tongyan asked him, “You’re not someone who often goes out to have fun, are you?”

Suo Yang smiled, “I used to, but now I prefer to sleep at home.”

At this time, Zhou Mo suddenly ran over and grabbed Shen Huiming.

Suo Yang watched Zhou Mo pull Shen Huiming onto the stage, where the man stood there with a helpless face, surrounded by four strippers dancing.

Jiang Tongyan said gloatingly, “Old Shen really has a lot of good fortune in love affairs.”

Suo Yang didn’t say anything but looked at Shen Huiming and smiled.

Jiang Tongyan turned to him, hesitated for a moment, and then said, “You smiled very sincerely this time. Although the real smile and the fake smile are both good-looking, there is still a big difference.”

He snapped his fingers in front of Suo Yang’s eyes and whispered, “I see the stars in your eyes.”

Chapter 6

Shen Huiming’s first reaction was: The God of destiny makes fools of the people.

His good friend Cheng Sen had thrown a birthday party for his lover and invited them all to come and have fun.

Shen Huiming was not a person who liked to participate in this kind of activity, but recently, he had been under a lot of pressure and exhausted both physically and mentally, so he thought it would be good to come out and have a good time.

He was also quite familiar with Cheng Sen’s lover. He took him with him almost every time he went out to play with them. He was a very noisy person and said that he was also a flight attendant earlier.

In the past, Shen Huiming didn’t have any extra thoughts about the flight attendants until Suo Yang appeared.

The invitation to this birthday party was sent out two weeks ago. At that time, Cheng Sen called and asked him, “Still single? Xiao Mo said that he had a good friend and wanted to introduce him to you.”

At that time, Shen Huiming hadn’t met Suo Yang, and he didn’t even want to fall in love, so he refused straight away.

Then the matter of ‘matchmaking’ fell on Jiang Tongyan, another buddy of Cheng Sen.

It was indeed an ill-fated relationship, to say the least. This Jiang Tongyan was Shen Huiming’s old classmate who was full of love and hate entanglements when he was in New York. The two of them had cut off contact, but they met a while ago because of business negotiations. They had finally let go of their previous grievance, and it happened again.

Shen Huiming understood that life was really more full of ‘surprises’ than a well-written script.

A few minutes before Suo Yang came in, Shen Huiming and Jiang Tongyan were still talking about this. Since he was heartbroken in college, this Boss Jiang has become an absolute believer in bachelorism. Didn’t you, Shen Huiming, keep beating me? Fine, then I won’t fall in love. He only said that when they met a few days ago, but turned around and agreed to do Zhou Mo’s matchmaking.

Jiang Tongyan said, “It’s not matchmaking, it’s just an introduction to acquaintances. If you feel good, maybe you can get in touch and see.”

Shen Huiming laughed at him, “Is this the blossoming of the iron tree1a highly improbable or extremely rare occurrence?”

“I don’t know if it’s blossoming or not, but I’ve been alone for a long time and I still want someone to warm my bed.” Jiang Tongyan said, “The only thing that makes me feel bad is that you’re there again. But it’s okay, if we can really make it work, I’ll take that person to New York and stay away from you.”

Shen Huiming laughed, patted the other party’s shoulder and told him that he promised not to rob him.

Zhou Mo told Jiang Tongyan that what he introduced to him was also a flight attendant and very handsome.

When Jiang Tongyan mentioned this, Shen Huiming thought of Suo Yang subconsciously.

He hadn’t contacted Suo Yang for the past few days, and only sent a ‘good night’ message on the night the they had been drinking.

If he pursued him too closely, he would appear to be desperate and would often cause the other party to be disgusted with him.

Although Shen Huiming’s emotional experience was not so rich, he still understood people very well and knows the principle of ‘prescribing the right medicine for an illness2to take appropriate steps‘.

It was just that he didn’t calculate that the ‘the most handsome guy in the flight attendant world’ that Zhou Mo wanted to introduce to Jiang Tongyan was Suo Yang.

Jiang Tongyan, who didn’t know the truth, shook hands with Suo Yang very gently. Although Suo Yang was a little surprised by Shen Huiming’s presence, he still behaved calmly and decently.

Zhou Mo said, “You guys talk, I’ll go out to pick up people.”

He ran off, and before he left, he even squinted at Shen Huiming, then hooked his fingers and said, “Brother Ming, old Cheng is over there, you can accompany him for a drink!”

His intention was too obvious, he wanted Shen Huiming to support and give the two of them a chance to be alone.

But at this time, how could Shen Huiming walk away? It was just that this time I really want to feel sorry for Jiang Tongyan.

Shen Huiming waved at Zhou Mo and then turned to Suo Yang.

At this moment, Suo Yang just took the wine that Jiang Tongyan handed over, and said with a smile, “Zhou Mo is too boisterous, especially when it comes to randomly matched couples.”

Suo Yang was not a person who pretended to be arrogant, nor did he reject this way of ‘introducing each other’. He had always felt that if he really met the right person, he could fall in love with them, but the important thing was that he only needed to take one look to know that Jiang Tongyan was not the kind of person he was looking for.

Zhou Mo was right, Jiang Tongyan’s conditions were very good, both in terms of appearance and financial strength, there was absolutely nothing to nitpick. Moreover, since he was introduced by Zhou Mo, there would not be major flaws in his character.

It was just that Suo Yang’s eyes are too fierce, or rather, extremely goal-oriented, and simple exchange between the two made it clear to him that he and Jiang Tongyan were not on the same page.

A relationship, or even a marriage, was not something that could be decided by ‘good conditions’.

More importantly, Suo Yang found that his attention was drawn more to Mr. Shen, who was next to him.

Maybe it was because the two had met before and had a brief relationship, or perhaps it was because the fate of the three encounters really sounded the alarm in Suo Yang’s heart. In short, he really minded about the person who was sitting next to Jiang Tongyan.

Shen Huiming turned around and also picked up the wine.

He said to Suo Yang, “Do you remember me?”

As soon as these words came out, Jiang Tongyan froze for a moment before asking in surprise, “You know each other?”

Suo Yang was surprised. He thought that Shen Huiming would pretend not to know him. After all, Zhou Mo was going to introduce him to Jiang Tongyan and Shen Huiming already made a vague gesture to play along and express goodwill.

However, it was Shen Huiming’s outspoken manner that made Suo Yang look at the man in a different light.

A gentleman that was open and honest.

Suo Yang smiled and said, “Of course I remember, Mr. Shen.”

So far, Suo Yang only knew his surname Shen, as for his first name, he did not know.

“You…” Jiang Tongyan leaned back slightly and said with a smile, “Should I step aside?”

The God of destiny indeed makes fools of the people.

Jiang Tongyan was all set to resign to accept his fate.

Suo Yang and Shen Huiming both laughed, Shen Huiming said, “That’s not necessary, it seems that I’m also not Mr. Suo’s type either.”

When he said “also”, Jiang Tongyan understood what he was implying.

Jiang Tongyan smiled, stood up and said, “I’ll go and get the wine, while you guys catch up.”

He walked away and went over to chat with Cheng Sen.

Suo Yang looked at Shen Huiming, not knowing what to say.

It was Shen Huiming who spoke first, “I didn’t expect to meet again. I really don’t believe it if one were to say that you and I are not destined to meet.”

       Suo Yang smiled, “It’s true.”

He took a sip of wine and looked at Cheng Sen and Jiang Tongyan who were talking not far away.

Shen Huiming followed his line of sight and asked, “What do you think of Tongyan?”

Suo Yang said, “We are people of two worlds3Suo Yang meant to say they are not compatible.”

Shen Huiming turned to look at him.

“The relationship between people is actually defined when they first meet, whether or not they hit it off and how far they can develop is all predestined.” Suo Yang said, “Although it may be a bit arbitrary to say so, I’m a big believer in first impression.”

“So, my friend and I are out of the game at your first strike?”

Suo Yang smiled, “Don’t say that, it’s just my subjective and rash judgment, it doesn’t mean anything.”

Shen Huiming felt that Suo Yang was very smart. During the chat, he would never give you a clear rejection or acceptance. You could even hardly extract his genuine thoughts from his words, you could only guess, and could not find an answer yet.

       This guy was very interesting.

“But it’s still a pity,” Shen Huiming made no secret of his affection for Suo Yang, “At first Zhou Mo was going to introduce you to me.”

Suo Yang still chuckled, as if with a little bit of shyness, but Shen Huiming didn’t know whether the so-called ‘shyness’ was deliberately performed by the other party to show comfort or a psychological effect of his own.

“Zhou Mo, eh…” Suo Yang said, “Fooling around all day.”

Shen Huiming shook the wine glass in his hand, pondering the meaning of this ‘fooling around’ phrase.

“Have a drink,” Shen Huiming poured another drink for Suo Yang, “It’s just to celebrate our third chance encounter.”

Suo Yang gently clinked glasses with him, thinking while drinking: Is this romantic fatalism?

When the wine glass bottomed out, Shen Huiming already handed his tissue to Suo Yang.

Suo Yang took it, thanked him, and wiped his lips lightly.

Shen Huiming said, “I’m afraid you don’t know my name yet, do you?”

He put down the cup and shook hands with Suo Yang, “Shen Huiming, the Hui of badge4徽章 (huīzhāng) and Ming of tomorrow5明天 (míngtiān).”

Suo Yang said softly, “Shen Huiming.”

“Right,” Shen Huiming said with a smile, “I don’t know if you have studied the five elements. Although it sounds a bit metaphysical, my name contains gold and water in the five elements, and your name contains gold and fire.”

He let go of Suo Yang’s hand and poured wine for the two of them.

“Gold reinforces water.” Suo Yang said.

Shen Huiming was a little surprised.

“Water conquers fire.” Suo Yang looked at him and frowned slightly.

“But fire conquers gold.” Shen Huiming handed the wine glass to Suo Yang and said meaningfully, “We can reinforces and conquers each other.”

Chapter 5

Hope always took a turn for the worse against our expectations the second before it turned for the better.

Suo Yang left and the rain was still raining outside. Shen Huiming sat there and continued to drink his wine with a napkin with a series of numbers written on it was laid on the table in front of him. Even on the soft napkin, he could see clearly that the man had good handwriting.

After the last sip of wine, Shen Huiming smiled and put the number in his mobile phone, then carefully folded the piece of tissue paper and put it in his suit pocket.

He took a taxi back to the hotel and sent Suo Yang a message before going to bed: Good night.

When Suo Yang woke up in the morning, the first thing he saw was Qiu Chao who hadn’t even changed his clothes.

The man drank a lot last night and was lying on the bed as soon as he returned. Suo Yang didn’t care about him and didn’t even help him take off his shoes, because it was unnecessary. If you drink by yourself, you should bear all the consequences yourself, and no one was obliged to take care of you. Suo Yang just closed the curtains, took another shower and slept comfortably.

Because of the late night yesterday and the return flight in the morning, the group hadn’t actually slept for a few hours.

Suo Yang got up and cleaned up and patted Qiu Chao, who was still drowsy, and said mercilessly, “I’ll leave you here if you don’t get up.”

With a jolt, Qiu Chao sat up from the bed and dazedly went to clean up, like a wind-up toy.

Suo Yang ignored him, sat while drinking coffee and picked up his mobile phone. Only then did he see the message that Mr. Shen sent him at three o’clock in the morning yesterday.

Almost no one sent text messages these days, and almost all his messages in the box were system messages, but Suo Yang was indeed a bit compulsive in this regard, and will not let any “red dots” linger on his phone for too long.

He actually didn’t realize who sent the text message at first. After all, a string of unfamiliar numbers could be anything.

But he suddenly remembered the mobile phone number he left for the man when he left last night and guessed that it should be the other party.

He didn’t save or reply to the message. After taking a look at the weather today, he finished his coffee and waited for Qiu Chao to go out together.

It was still 19 hours back, and when they landed on the territory of their motherland again, they even had to make a point of looking at the date to be sure what day it really was.

Qiu Chao yawned and walked beside Suo Yang and said, “Yang ge, I really admire you, you don’t get tired from all the tossing.”

Suo Yang smiled and said, “Drink less wine and dance less, so you are not tired.”

Qiu Chao laughed, “I’ve learned it!”

In fact, it was impossible to say that he was not tired. Suo Yang, who was seriously lacking in sleep, went home and went straight to the bathroom, almost falling asleep in the bathtub.

He came out of the bathroom after washing and heard the phone ringing.

“Yang ge, don’t forget the day after tomorrow!”

The person who called him was called Zhoumo, and he used to work for their company too. Back then, they were in the same group, and they often flew on the same line.

Suo Yang was not a person who liked to make friends. He grew up with few close friends and kept in touch with each other. He was one of those people who only had one or two close friends at a time, but when they moved on to the next stage of their lives, they stopped seeing each other every day and gradually broke off contact.

Back when they were still in the company together, the two of them had a good relationship. At that time, Suo Yang hadn’t bought a house yet, and Zhou Mo was still single. The two rented a two-bedroom apartment near the highway intersection together and became roommates for a while.

Later, Zhou Mo began to talk about a boyfriend and they met on the plane. The two decided to live together shortly after they were sure of their relationship. In order to for Zhou Mo to spend more time with his boyfriend, he finally decided to change careers.

Zhou Mo’s current job was introduced by his boyfriend. At first, he was the lobby manager of a five-star hotel, but he was promoted last year. After all, he was also on an international flight crew at the beginning. His English was good enough, and Zhou Mo was able to speak fluently. Now he was the sales manager of their hotel, specializing in some joint overseas sales jobs, and the salary was already beyond Suo Yang’s expectations. At the beginning of the year, Zhou Mo called Suo Yang to ask if he wanted to change careers. After all, a career change was the general trend for these people. At that time, Suo Yang refused, on the grounds that he had not flown enough.

As Zhou Mo was one of the few a friend who kept in touch with Suo Yang after resigning, it was natural for Suo Yang to be there for his birthday the day after tomorrow.

Suo Yang was quite willing to go. He rarely attends these gatherings. It’s better to relax, but one could never really refuse to socialise.

“I didn’t forget.” Suo Yang said, “I have prepared a birthday present for you.”

“What gift?” Zhou Mo was full of excitement, “A macho man?”

Suo Yang laughed, “Don’t let Mr. Cheng hear you.”

“It’s alright, I’ve been trying to persuade him to invite a striptease boy band to dance for my birthday,” Zhou Mo said with a smirk, “It’s a birthday party, you must liven it up.”

Suo Yang laughed helplessly and said nothing.

“Okay, anyway, don’t forget about this. There are a lot of people here, all of them are serious and close friends. My old Cheng has two friends who are also gay, and their circumstances are good. I’ll introduce you to them when the time comes and you develop some relationship.”

“Come on, I’m so busy, I don’t want to hurt people.”

“Busy is not an excuse!” said Zhou Mo, “It depends on whether you have the intention or not. Look at me, weren’t we just as busy at first? And what happened? I met my true love on a plane!”

Suo Yang sat on the sofa and laughed as he wiped his hair, saying that Zhou Mo was just lucky.

“It’s destiny, and I can’t stop it. Maybe your destiny is at my birthday party, so you should dress better then.” Zhou Mo paused and said, “Forget it, you’re usually handsome enough. Don’t be too handsome the day after, and don’t overshadow me or I’ll hold a grudge against you!”

“Who can overshadow you,” Suo Yang smiled, “Aren’t you the dancing queen? I can’t compare.”

The two ended the call with Zhou Mo’s triumphant laughter, Suo Yang flipped through his schedule again and reconfirmed that he didn’t have a job that night.

After flying back from New York, he took a day off before continuing to fly.

It was a short trip this time, and although it wasn’t much easier, at least he could go home and sleep at night.

On Zhou Mo’s birthday, he had a flight arrangement in the morning and arrived home after three o’clock in the afternoon.

He cleaned up the house, took a shower, had a quick bite to eat and was out the door by 6 pm.

He knew very well that he was going to drink this night, and he was afraid that he would get drunk soon if he didn’t fill his stomach in advance. Zhou Mo was a man who loves to party. It was his birthday, and his boyfriend must have let him get away with it, and from past experience, no one was likely to leave until they were drunk.

So Yang didn’t drive because he knew he was going to drink, so he took a taxi to the nightclub the birthday boy had booked, with a present for him.

Zhou Mo’s boyfriend was a businessman, and although the word immediately conjures up images of a middle-aged man with a pot belly, in fact, his boyfriend was young and promising. He was in his early thirties and he was unbeatable in every way. At the end of last year, he took Zhou Mo abroad to get married.

It was said that every man has his own life, and this was absolutely true.

Sometimes Zhou Mo found it unbelievable that Suo Yang, a handsome guy who made people drool every time he stood, was still single after all this time. He always sighed, “If it were not because you were taking care of me, I really wanted to pounce on you.”

Suo Yang knew it was a joke, Zhou Mo and Cheng Sen were too good to not be together.

Halfway through the drive, Zhou Mo phone call came again.

“My Yang ge! Where are you, old man?”

“Almost there,” Suo Yang glanced at the driver’s navigation, “Six hundred metres to go.”

“That’s really fast,” Zhou Mo said, “It’s okay, there’s no rush. I’m just asking, the people are not all there yet, it’s my stripper group that’s already waiting. I’m thinking about taking you to feel what sexy muscles are first!”

Suo Yang laughed, “You can’t keep taking advantage like that, don’t make trouble.”

“You don’t understand, these guys are having a lot of fun being touched by me.” Zhou Mo couldn’t help laughing, “Okay, okay, I’ll pick you up at the door, see you later.”

Within minutes of hanging up the phone, Suo Yang arrived. He paid the money and got out of the car. Before he could stand still, he heard Zhou Mo’s voice.

“Yang ge! Long time no see!”

It had indeed been a while since they saw each other. Last month, on Suo Yang’s birthday, the two originally planned to have a meal together, but there was an emergency over the weekend, so they hadn’t been able to make it.

“Happy birthday.” Suo Yang handed him the gift, “I’m not too late, am I?”

“No! Come on, let’s go in first.” Zhou Mo took Suo Yang inside, “Today, old Cheng took care of everything in this place. Feel free to make a scene, don’t worry.”

He looked at Suo Yang and added, “Okay, I guess it’s someone else who will make trouble for you.”

After they entered, Zhou Mo took him in and pushed the door into the huge innermost room, and Zhou Mo said mysteriously, “Old Cheng brought him here. It’s the childhood friend I mentioned to you before. I think he’s good. You can pay more attention and give it a go.”

He said with great excitement, then pushed open the door, “Everyone! Here comes the most handsome flight attendant in our industry!”

There must be a dozen or so people present at the moment, Suo Yang went in and said hello to Cheng Sen, and then he was pulled aside by Zhou Mo, “Come, come, sit here!”

At this moment, Suo Yang saw Shen Huiming sitting on the sofa while drinking and chatting with people. He felt a bit unbelievable. Two people met three times in one week, isn’t this a bit too…

Suo Yang thought: Could this Mr. Shen be Cheng Sen’s childhood?

If it was, that was quite a coincidence.

However, life was always very full of drama. Shen Huiming was indeed Cheng Sen’s friend, but he was not the legendary childhood friend.

Zhou Mo pulled Suo Yang to the man who was chatting with Shen Huiming, and introduced him, “Jiang ge, here he is, this is my good friend, Suo Yang!”

Shen Huiming raised his head and was stunned when he saw Suo Yang.

The man sandwiched between Shen Huiming and Suo Yang smiled and said to Suo Yang, “Hello, I’ve heard a lot about you, my name is Jiang Tongyan.”

Chapter 4

This accidental encounter was unexpected for them. The fact that two people met in such a way in the middle of the night in the largest city in the United States really makes you think of the word ‘fate’.

When Suo Yang turned around and looked over, he was completely surprised.

Shen Huiming returned to his sense earlier than Suo Yang, and said politely, “I didn’t expect to meet again here.”

       Suo Yang smiled.

Even though he had already taken off his uniform, Suo Yang still had the right smile on his face, and there was not much surprise in his tone. Compared with him, Shen Huiming seemed somewhat impulsive.

“Good evening, Mr. Shen.” He stood up straight and looked at Shen Huiming very calmly.

The more Suo Yang was like this, the more restless Shen Huiming became.

He came over, regardless of whether he would disturb the other party or not, and forced himself into Suo Yang’s night

“Why are you out alone so late?” Shen Huiming kept a distance to interact with him, not too far or near, and it was just right.

“I’m not alone.” Suo Yang replied with a smile, “I came out to play with my colleagues, I’m getting some air.”

Shen Huiming glanced in the direction he came from with the row of bars over there.

At the airport, Shen Huiming had already been rejected once before, and according to his character, even if they met again, he would just exchange pleasantries and go his own way. However, when he bumped into Suo Yang, he actually said, “Want to have a drink together?”

Suo Yang obviously did not expect this Mr. Shen to be so persistent. He could see that he was an arrogant person. Generally speaking, this kind of person would not give others the chance to reject him twice.

“Let’s go to that pub across the street.” Shen Huiming could see his hesitation, “I’m tired from the meeting I had right after I got off the plane today, I want to drink some and relieve my fatigue.”

Suo Yang didn’t want to go, and it was not that difficult to say no.

But he raised his hand and looked at the time, then said, “Okay.”

He seldom accepts invitations from others, especially from people he hardly knew.

It was just that he was also very tired, but he thought that it would be inappropriate for him to go back to the hotel first, which would spoil the enthusiasm of his colleagues. And he didn’t want to go back to that noisy bar, so the best option was to go to a pub for a drink.

It was just that the person he went with happened to be this Mr. Shen.

Shen Huiming was ready to be rejected again, but he didn’t expect Suo Yang to agree.

“Okay, wait for me a moment.” Shen Huiming turned around and went back to the car. He let his assistant go first, and said that he would take a taxi back later.

After explaining everything, he walked back to Suo Yang. When the two walked towards the opposite side of the road, the light drizzle entangled them, and the slightly cool evening wind swept around them. Shen Huiming smelled the scent of the other party’s body, a woody scented perfume that he had also bought.

The pub was very comfortable, and they sat by the window on the second floor.

Suo Yang sent Qiu Chao a WeChat message, telling him that he had met a friend and was nearby for a couple of drinks, and to call him when everyone was going back to the hotel.

Shen Huiming said, “I’m quite surprised.”

“About?” Suo Yang’s fingers gently rested on the wall of the glass, and he wore a seemingly affectionate but detached smile when he asked.

Shen Huiming smiled more sincerely than him, “I didn’t expect you to agree to come and drink with me.”

Suo Yang smiled softly, “I didn’t expect it either.”

Suo Yang picked up the wine glass, and Shen Huiming touched the glass lightly as he received the signal, and the two took a sip of wine each.

       “You’re flying back tomorrow?”

“Yes,” Suo Yang said, “I’m flying back in the morning, 19 hours.”

“It’s been too hard.” Shen Huiming asked him, “Have you thought about changing careers?”

In their industry, it was true that many people changed careers after a few years, and did whatever they wanted to do after that.

“No such plan for the time being.”

Suo Yang spoke very little. He almost answered whatever Shen Huiming asked, and the content of the answer would never be extended, and he would not give the other party any chance to use the question to find new topics.

This person lived a very cautious life.

Shen Huiming didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, he felt that coming to drink with him was probably the most careless thing Suo Yang did.

With this in mind, he picked up the wine glass and took a sip, and then stopped asking any more questions, and followed Suo Yang to look out the window and listen to the music in a daze.

The late night rain continued to fall, not getting heavier, but not stopping either.

Shen Huiming seemed to have never wasted time sitting by the window with anyone like this.

No, that was not really the right word.

He was indeed a person who strictly managed time and did not allow himself to waste even a single second, but during the relatively silent hour or so sitting here with Suo Yang, he hadn’t felt that time had been lost in vain.

Although they barely spoke to each other, and even only a little eye contact. Most of the time they were mostly silent, trapped in their own thoughts, piecing together some questions that did not need to be thought about to kill this long silence, but he didn’t feel that his time was wasted in the slightest.

He thought of the so-called ‘Romantic Fatalism’, the irresistible feeling that everyone experiences at least once in their lives, knowing that they couldn’t have it, but still falling into it.

“Is Mr. Shen here on a business trip?” Suo Yang finally felt that his long silence was a little rude, so he took the initiative to break the silence and pick a topic to talk about.

“Yes, there is a partnership to discuss.” Shen Huiming was very happy to chat with him about anything. “The other party is very difficult to deal with, and my head is all over the place after this day.”

Suo Yang smiled after hearing this, “It must be very hard.”

“It’s not easy for everyone.” Shen Huiming said, “If you want to have something in return, you have to give something. Just like if I want to make friends with you, I have to be cheeky and ask you for contact information. “

Suo Yang didn’t expect him to mention this again and showed a rare display of embarrassment.

He licked his lips and took a sip of wine.

Shen Huiming said, “Just kidding, I won’t force you.”

Suo Yang looked at him, put down the cup and said with a smile, “Mr. Shen, I’m a very boring person. Making friends with me… I’ll probably be the dullest person on your friend list.”

“You are dull?” Shen Huiming understood what he meant, and Suo Yang was just tactfully persuading him to quit. However, he still had to say what he should say, because Shen Huiming knew that since it had reached this point today, either he would never have anything to do with him again, or he would get Suo Yang’s mobile phone number smoothly.

The fate between people was also limited, and two people would not meet three times in a world so vast that one didn’t even know where the boundaries were.

       Twice was the limit.

The first time, he failed. Shen Huiming wanted to forget this person from then on, but God arranged a second meeting for him. It was like preferential treatment out of thin air and felt it was a pity if he didn’t seize this chance given by God.

“Are you saying that the plain water is dull? But there are people who have eight glasses of water a day.” Shen Huiming said, “People are different, some people like heavy flavours without spiciness, and some people like clear soup with little water. Can we say what is good and what is not? I think they are all good.”

Suo Yang laughed softly at what he said but did not respond.

Shen Huiming tried hard, but it seemed that there was still no result.

This was really an iron plate, and the other party was still indifferent even if he kicked his toe bones to pieces.

Qiu Chao called and asked where Suo Yang was.

Suo Yang said a few words to him briefly, made an appointment for the meeting place, hung up the phone and held the cup, clinking with Shen Huiming lightly, and drank the little wine left in it.

“Mr. Shen, my colleague is waiting for me. I have to leave first. Thank you for your wine. I had a great evening.” Suo Yang took the napkin on the table and wrote a series of numbers on it with the pencil on the menu holder, “My mobile number, good night.”

Chapter 3

How many times had this been?

Soyo couldn’t remember how many people had asked him for his contact details, not that he was being presumptuous, but he could almost confirm that this man’s intention was not a simple ‘thank you’.

Although Suo Yang dared not say that he has read countless people, but he understood the implicit meaning in human beings very well.

People were not as good at concealing their desires as they thought. Some people write desires on their faces, and some on their eyes.

This Mr. Shen in front of him seemed to be more sincere and a little more intelligent than some of the people before, and his method of asking for contact information was more sophisticated. In this way, even if he was rejected, it would not be too awkward.

Neither of them would be too embarrassed.

Suo Yang was still polite and thoughtful, and said with a smile, “You’re too kind. I’m just doing what I should do.”

After that, he wished Shen Huiming a pleasant journey once again, before he turned around and left.

Shen Huiming stood at the same spot without rushing to leave. His fingers gently rubbed the cut on his airline ticket holder again, his gaze kept falling on the man who had already walked away.

Suo Yang was not short. Standing in front of Shen Huiming, who is 1.87 meters tall, he could almost see him at eye level. The appearance of the other party in uniform reminded Shen Huiming of pygmy bamboo1. Even just looking at the back of the other party made Shen Huiming feel relaxed and it was enjoyable.

Is this the legendary pleasing to the eye kind of person?

Shen Huiming smiled and thought that this airline was quite good at selecting people.

Suo Yang had already drowned in the crowd of people at the airport. Shen Huiming, who failed to strike up a conversation, didn’t feel too disappointed and turned back to wait for the arrival of his luggage.

He secretly set a romantic definition for this flight—as a trip fling.

Although it was only his one-sided affair.

This is quite interesting, Shen Huiming thought as he dragged his suitcase out. A rose suddenly bloomed in his dull life. Although it was only a mirage that dissipated in the blink of an eye, his fatigue was swept away and he could go to the meeting in full energy.

Shen Huiming’s company had encountered some difficulties recently. Although it was not a matter of life and death, if this partnership could be obtained, there was no need to be nervous even if they did not take on new projects in the next few years.

But if the deal didn’t go through, then this project would fall into the hands of the competitors, and they would probably be suppressed for a long time.

It was precisely because of this importance that Shen Huiming came to talk in person.

Before he came, he knew which leprechaun he was going to deal with. Although he had a headache, he was well prepared.

Shen Huiming was taken to the hotel by the assistant who came to pick him up at the airport. He washed off his dusty body and changed into a decent suit. He looked calm and poised.

The two set off for the venue.

The assistant said, “Mr. Shen, are you sure you really don’t need to rest for a while?”

“No,” Shen Huiming said, “I understand that guy. If I don’t meet him first when I come, he’ll make sure to take advantage of the situation.”

Who was the target of the negotiation?

It was a classmate from his undergraduate days, someone who had once treated him as an imaginary rival in love.

Shen Huiming felt that he was wronged. At that time, he lived a little far from the school, and he drove to and from school every day, picking up other students on the way.

At that time, there was a boy who was quite close to him, but no matter how close they were, he was only a friend. Shen Huiming had no intention of being in a relationship at that time.

He had no intention, but the other guy had an intention.

Unexpectedly, it attracted the dissatisfaction of the rival.

Everyone was in their twenties when they were students. No matter how precocious they were, they were still young and naive compared to today.

Back then, Shen Huiming was not as calm as he was now. He was annoyed by a few words and fought with the other party.

It was the first and only time in his life that he had fought with someone. The two of them had a tie, and neither of them got any advantage.

Later, although the two were still classmates, they were almost on the opposing side.

The guy who was the main cause of the argument between them didn’t end with either of them later. In their junior year, that guy made a white boyfriend, saying that he enjoyed some fine lovemaking.

Shen Huiming smiled at this, but the ‘rival in love’ who had fought with him felt that he was offended. At lunch one day, he sat in front of Shen Huiming with a dinner plate.

The other said, “I’m actually not smaller than a white man.”

Shen Huiming looked at the other person in surprise and then both of them laughed.

Later on, they unexpectedly become friends, and the other party learns that Shen Huiming had no intention of being a rival in love with him at all.

If that was the end, then today’s cooperation was actually quite easy to talk about. However, the problem was that they then fell out again.

Like God’s will, whoever that person liked would take a fancy to Shen Huiming.

It was not that the other party’s conditions were much worse than Shen Huiming’s. On the contrary, Shen Huiming always felt that others were more popular than himself, but he couldn’t escape this curse.

Once after a drink, the two of them disagreed, but they didn’t quarrel, but the conversation fell apart and they never spoke to each other again.

       That was undeniably childish indeed.

After that, the two hardly contacted. Shen Huiming heard that the other party had been staying in New York, but he just heard about it. He didn’t expect the world to be so big and yet so small that they would meet again at the negotiating table.

When Shen Huiming walked into the building, he thought to himself that a fierce battle was about to begin.

Suo Yang and the others had a layover in New York and flew back the next morning.

In the first year or two, people regarded this as a so-called ‘company-paid travel’, where they could play wherever they stopped, but gradually, they began to prefer to rest in hotels rather than go out to play.

They didn’t toss and turn anymore.

When they arrived at the hotel, Suo Yang shared a room with a colleague. He was a young guy in the economy class, and his name was Qiu Chao, who also came last year, with He Tian.

This young guy was fun-loving and talkative. He usually talked a lot, but he was not a bad person by nature.

As soon as he put down his suitcase, Qiu Chao said excitedly, “Yang ge, do you want to play later?”

As Suo Yang changed his clothes and prepared to take a bath, he said, “Go ahead, I can’t toss around.”

“No!” Qiu Chao followed him to the door of the bathroom, “If you don’t go, I’ll be the only guy, I’m shy!”

Suo Yang laughed, “You’re still shy?”

“Why not! I’m super shy!” Qiu Chao leaned against the door frame of the bathroom and begged him, “Yang ge, let’s go with me, or else the girls won’t like to take me.”

Suo Yang looked at him, smiled helplessly, and finally nodded.

“Ouye!” Qiu Chao cheered directly at the door and was immediately locked out.

Suo Yang was really not a frequent visitor to a place like a bar. If he didn’t have friends and colleagues to show up, he would never come himself.

It wasn’t that he had anything against such places, he was just lazy.

And he didn’t know if it was because he had really gotten ‘old’ in the past two years. He began to prefer to stay at home quietly. Usually, he was busy and tired from work, and it was better to rest at home if he had time.

He followed the noisy handsome guys and beauties into the bar, most of them were blonde and blue-eyed white men and women as far as the eye could see.

Suo Yang walked last and sighed softly.

Even if he was going to a bar, he should have gone to a gay bar.

With a wry smile, he continued to walk in.

A few people came over, some for drinking, some for dancing, and Suo Yang was purely to accompany the guests.

He sat there casually looking around, drinking a drink that feel like much.

Occasionally someone came to strike up a conversation, it was all girls, and he politely refused.

In the second half of the night, it was too stuffy and tiring. Suo Yang couldn’t say he wanted to leave first, so he had to find an excuse to go out and get some air.

He went out of the bar and stood on the side of the road blowing wind.

It was September, and there was a cool light rain.

He walked along the street in boredom. There were far fewer vehicles and pedestrians on the road at this time.

       “Suo Yang?”

His name was suddenly called, and Suo Yang turned around.

He was surprised as the man get out of a car, and vaguely remembered that the man’s surname was Shen.

Chapter 2

While his colleague gave a safety demonstration, Suo Yang was preparing for his next work. For him, today’s flight was no different from every other one before.

19 hours sounded terrible, but he was used to it.

He knew all the procedures by heart, to the point where he had developed muscle memory. He didn’t even need to think to know what he should do next.

Their company stipulates that they can be upgraded to first-class after flying for the specified number of hours. When he first arrived, he flew as much as he could and was one of the people who was promoted to first-class soon afterwards. During the same period, he also took on the task of broadcasting.

“Welcome aboard Huanxing flight AS5311 to New York. The distance of this flight…”

Suo Yang was sitting in the seat, holding the book in one hand and the microphone in the other. It was no exaggeration to say that it was done at ease.

When the broadcast sounded, everyone knew that the journey was about to officially begin.

Shen Huiming sat in a comfortable seat and listened to the broadcast with his eyes closed. At first, he just thought that the male voice was nice, cool and non-aggressive, with the right tone and speed. Listening to him, he suddenly remembered that the voice was a little familiar. He had just heard it just now.

At that time, he was not too far away from the young flight attendant, and he could clearly hear the voice of the other party.

       It was him.

Shen Huiming smiled, and thought that the person was just like his voice.

He began to think about how to strike up a conversation,  or at least find a reason to leave his contact details with each other.

But this kind of thing was not easy for him at all. He was a person an energetic person with great ability at the negotiation table, but he becomes timid in this kind of thing.

Although he had grown up with a privileged life since childhood, he was not the good-for-nothing young man from wealthy parents type at all. He had never done anything like striking up a conversation with someone, so he had no experience.

If the plane hadn’t taken off at this moment, he could have turned on his mobile phone and called his cousin who was an expert in love to ask for an experience, but the plane had already started to glide, and he was too late.

Shen Huiming opened his eyes and looked out the window, everything at the airport was rapidly receding.

It was hard to say whether he would have a chance to talk to the other side during the next 19 hours of flight.

How to exchange contact information with an unfamiliar flight attendant in a reasonable, polite and dignified manner had become the most important issue for Shen Huiming today.

After the plane entered the stratosphere, the flight attendants began the cabin service.

There were only eight seats in this plane’s first-class, and it was not full, so the service was not so stressful.

Suo Yang began to ask the passengers’ needs one by one from the front.

Shen Huiming felt that this was probably a good opportunity. When he heard the other party ask softly what other people needed, he had already begun to plan his next move.

When Suo Yang came over, the man in front of Suo Yang seemed to be thinking about something. He then asked him softly, “Hello sir, can I get you something to eat?”

Shen Huiming was clearly in a daze. He was thinking from the start that the flight attendant was switching to his frequency. Before boarding the plane, he was looking at a contract, and by now he was pondering about the content of the contract.

Suo Yang’s voice was just right, the tone and volume are just right, and the speech was not bad. He was not calling out to Shen Huiming for him to answer him and didn’t suddenly disturb and startle him.

As a family of businessmen, Shen Huiming grew up in a crowd of people. He knew how to treat people and deal with others. He understood all too well that there were some elites around him, no matter how good his ability at work was, at least he had enough emotional intelligence when it comes to getting along with others.

But he rarely met a person like this flight attendant. Everything was just right with him. It was as if there was a ruler in this person’s world. Even a smile, a speech, and even a look were measured to the right degree.

This kind of person was the best and most difficult person to deal with.

Shen Huiming’s interest was sparked一from his appearance to his personality.

He took the menu handed over by the other party, and at the same time glanced casually at the badge pinned on the man’s uniform.

Shen Huiming saw his name clearly: Suo Yang.

He restrained his smile and calmly flipped through the menu while quickly making his selection.

Because it was an early flight, Shen Huiming, who was a little tired, said after ordering breakfast, “Give me a cup of black coffee first, thank you.”

Suo Yang smiled lightly, “Sir, drinking coffee on an empty stomach will stimulate the stomach and may also cause a rapid heartbeat.”

Shen Huiming was the kind of person who had a cup of coffee first thing in the morning when he woke up. This habit had been maintained for more than ten years. Before going out this morning, for fear it would be inconvenient, he didn’t drink at home, but he made up for it when he got to the airport.

He was tempted to joke with the other party, and just say: Not on an empty stomach, I already have a cup in my stomach.

But when he thought about it, he let it go and said with a smile, “Okay then, I’ll listen to you, I’ll drink it after a meal.”

Suo Yang smiled at him, “Okay, please wait a moment.”

After Suo Yang left, Shen Huiming breathed a sigh of relief.

He had never felt nervous when he was with a person, but it had just happened.

He smiled self-deprecatingly, then closed his eyes.

Suo Yang has always been meticulous in his work. He carefully checked the needs of each passenger and then delivered them one by one.

“Sir, your breakfast.” Suo Yang placed the breakfast on the table in front of Shen Huiming, and even the angles of the individual small plates were surprisingly consistent.

Shen Huiming couldn’t hold back and asked, “Do you have obsessive-compulsive disorder?”

Suo Yang was startled and looked at him in confusion.

“Ah, I’m sorry, it’s a bit presumptuous for me to say that,” Shen Huiming looked at him with a smile, “I just think you are very meticulous.”

He pointed to the plate, “Each plate is equally spaced..”

Suo Yang smiled at him, “It’s not an obsessive-compulsive disorder, it’s just professionalism.”

Having said that, Suo Yang straightened up. Still with the standard professional smile, “I wish you a happy meal.”

       He was hard to approach.

After Suo Yang left, Shen Huiming thought about him while eating.

However, it didn’t take long for his thoughts to return to work.

Suo Yang’s professionalism made him meticulous to the point of near perfection.

And Shen Huiming’s professionalism prevented him from spending too much energy on things that were not profitable.

After breakfast, Shen Huiming pressed the call button and asked someone to clean up the plate. This time he didn’t take the initiative to talk to Suo Yang, and the other party just said some professional words without emotion to him. Then after cleaning the table, he left with an empty plate.

Shen Huiming shrugged and felt that his love at first sight was likely to die.

As the plane weaved through the clouds, Shen Huiming looked out the window, relaxed his mind for a few seconds, then took out his laptop and started to look at the contract.

He had a very important partnership to discuss in New York this time, and his assistant had arrived a day early, just waiting for him to arrive.

The 19-hour flight was exhausting for ordinary people, but for people like Suo Yang who were used to it, there was not a trace of fatigue on their faces.

He thought it was an extremely unbearable journey, but as he focused on his work, and enjoyed rest and sleep intermittently, Shen Huiming felt that the time had passed quickly.

When he was about to get off the plane, he didn’t pay that much attention to Suo Yang, and only looked twice when he walked past.

He was busy and so was the other party.

Although he was curious and enchanted, for people like them, love did not seem to be a necessity, but work was.

Shen Huiming thought that the intersection between the two of them was limited to this. Before the plane landed, he once again enjoyed a soothing voice like an ‘ear massage’ on the radio, and then waited for the plane to land and parted ways with this handsome young man.

It was like he had put on a play himself and it was time for the curtain to go up, although he felt a bit sorry, life was already a pile of countless ‘pities’ and ‘regrets’, and this one was no exception.

At the end of the 19-hour flight, Shen Huiming was so tired that his temples were throbbing.

When they got off the plane, Suo Yang stood there to say goodbye to them one by one, Shen Huiming glanced at him, and the two smiled at each other.

It was still the kind of standardized handsome smile without any personal emotion.

Shen Huiming walked past him, ready to pick up his luggage.

However, while waiting for his luggage, Shen Huiming suddenly found that his ticket holder was missing. He recalled it and thought it was possible that he had left it on the plane.

He was already tired, but he had to get up again and walk back. He planned to ask at the information desk.

Just when he turned around, he saw Suo Yang walking towards this side quickly.

“Mr. Shen, is this your ticket holder?” Suo Yang walked too fast and was a little out of breath.

       Shen Huiming smiled, “It’s mine.”

He took it and said to Suo Yang, “I was just about to go back for it.”

“I saw you as soon as you got off the plane. However, you ended up walking too fast, but at least I caught up.” Suo Yang smiled at him, “I wish you a smooth journey, I’ll go back first.”

“Hey, wait a minute!” Shen Huiming stopped him subconsciously without even thinking about it.

“Your name is Suo Yang, right?”

Suo Yang smiled faintly and nodded.

“Leave your contact information.” Shen Huiming said, “So that I can find a chance to thank you later.”
