Side Story 2: Venus
Zhuo Yue enjoyed cooking and had recently learned several new dishes from the Old Zhao. Happily, he packed two portions and went to find Fang Mingyan, who had been working overtime, intending to have dinner together. He arrived smoothly at the secretary’s office, where Julie, the secretary, spotted him. She glanced towards the inner office and smiled, saying, “Chairman Fang had instructed that whenever you came, you could go straight in.”
Zhuo Yue pushed the door open and was stunned.
In the huge office, a naked young man stood in the centre, his clothes scattered on the floor. Fang Mingyan sat behind the large table with a cold face. When he saw Zhuo Yue coming in, he was slightly startled and stood up.
Zhuo Yue felt a wave of suffocation in his chest. He took a step back, closed the door, and placed the food containers on Julie’s desk hastily, saying, “He’s busy, and I don’t want to disturb him. Please give this to him later.” With that, he turned to leave but was stopped as the man hurriedly chased after him and grabbed his wrist.
The hand holding him was slightly firm, and Fang Mingyan’s dark eyes had a deep and soft light. He looked at him very seriously.
Zhuo Yue pursed his lips and asked softly, “Are you done with business?”
The man said nothing. The man grabbed his hand and led him into the office. At this moment, the naked young man had already put on his clothes. When he saw the two people coming in, he had a look of embarrassment in his eyes.
Only then did Zhuo Yue see the other party’s appearance clearly. He was only about 17 or 18 years old, very beautiful, and wore a Huasheng trainee badge on his clothes. Seeing Zhuo Yue looking at him, he bit his lip and lowered his head.
“Get out.” Fang Mingyan’s voice was cold.
The trainee trembled, silently walked to the door, paused for a moment but said nothing, opened the door and left.
They were the only two people left in the office.
The man slightly raised Zhuo Yue’s cheek and asked, “Are you angry?”
He looked at the other person with bright black eyes and asked, “Master, do you think I should be angry?”
Fang Mingyan had a gentle smile in his eyes, “I was expecting you to be angry.”
“Such a picture is not enough to shake my trust in you. But the first time I saw it, it wasn’t very pleasant.” Zhuo Yue said frankly. He trusted the other person wholeheartedly and never hid his true feelings. He thought for a moment and asked, “He did this because he wanted to get a chance to debut from you, right?”
“You guessed right on target, Mr. Holmes.”
“The days as a trainee were tough, filled with endless monotonous practice. There was hope in my heart, yet no visible way forward,” Zhuo Yue said, looking down. “I kind of understand why he would do this. After all, I’ve done the same thing when I felt trapped with no way out.”
“You are different from him.” Fang Mingyan said slowly, “Before you came to me, you shouldered the debt alone and made every effort to repay it. Your purpose was very simple, and you had no complicated desires. The person just now is the least diligent among all the trainees. He did not try his best to improve himself and reach the standard for a debut. He just wanted to use me to take a shortcut.”
Zhuo Yue was silent for a while and sighed, “It’s quite unfortunate for him to meet a boss like you.”
“Until you’ve formally signed the termination contract, I’m still your boss,” the man said, leaning in with his arms braced on either side of Zhuo Yue. He slowly lowered himself, his voice carrying a hint of ambiguity. “If I haven’t been a good boss, I’m willing to make it up to you in other ways.”
Zhuo Yue was imprisoned between the desk and Fang Mingyan’s body with no way to escape. He could only fall down on the table as the other party pressed down, blushing and calling, “Master…”
The man was like a big cat, trapping the prey under his paws, kissing, licking and teasing it wantonly. Considering that there would be a meeting soon and it would be difficult to enjoy the whole thing, he did not intrude substantially and let Zhuo Yue go after lingering for a while.
Zhuo Yue was overwhelmed with emotions, and he couldn’t help but gasp for breath. It took him a long time to recover. When Julie brought the lunch box in, he was sitting on the sofa pretending to read a book with a faint blush on his ears.
“It’s delicious. Did you make it?” Fang Mingyan added a lotus root slice and tasted it carefully.
“Yes, I made it according to the steps written by Old Zhao.” He took the meatballs from his lunch box and gave them to the other party. It happened that the man also took one for him.
They both laughed at the same time.
The executive meeting at Huasheng didn’t finish until ten o’clock in the evening, and light rain began to fall in the night sky. Zhuo Yue, who walked to the door with Fang Mingyan, happily reached out to catch the rain and said, “This seems to be the first spring rain this year. Can we go for a walk together?”
“Okay.” The man opened his umbrella and held him close to him.
There were not many pedestrians on the road at this time. The two walked slowly side by side.
“Master, have you ever regretted anything?” Zhuo Yue.
“Yes.” Fang Mingyan saw him, turning his face to look at him curiously and smiled, “The first one is about a cat, and the second one is about a person.”
“I heard Zhang Yi talk about cats.” Zhuo Yue hesitated and said, “Can I ask about the person?”
In the drizzle of the night, there was gentle star light in the man’s eyes, “What I regret is that I didn’t keep you by my side when I first met you.”
Zhuo Yue raised his eyebrows and kissed his lips.
Later, they adopted a stray kitten. Because of its golden eyes, Fang Mingyan named it ‘Venus’, which means ‘the golden star’.1Venus in chinese is 金(gold)星(star)
When Zhuo Yue lost out on the Silver Star Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture because of unfair judging, he refused to accept the award on the spot, posting a photo of the kitten on his social media site with the following message.
“You look up at the dazzling Milky Way, but I will only look at the golden star that belongs to me.”
[Afterwords]
The story of Fang Mingyan and Zhuo Yue concludes here.
This is my second BDSM novel. In fact, the first book, ‘Surrender’, was unexpectedly well-received by many readers, which was both surprising and delightful for me. This time, I chose Lion, a popular supporting character, as the protagonist for ‘Surrender II’. It tells the story set in the entertainment industry, exploring the relationship between Dom and Sub, navigating through obstacles, and ultimately overcoming doubts and barriers to find love. It continues the main theme of its predecessor, creating an overall light and sweet atmosphere. In this story, I aimed to develop the plot through changes in the characters’ psychology and their mutual influences, hoping to evoke a different experience for readers.
I hope you enjoy it.
