Chapter 16 – This is a big disaster...

Chapter 16 – This is a big disaster…

Xing Zhongwan felt that he had to clear this up with Qi Yun. This person had a deep misunderstanding and he wants to marry me, it’s worth mentioning this to him!

Qi Yun didn’t think so in his heart. Seeing that Xing Zhongwan didn’t respond, he felt a little flustered.

“Is it because I can’t see and my legs can’t move, that it would be troublesome to take care of me, I…”

Qi Yun’s next words suddenly stopped, even he himself didn’t know how to ask others to stay with a body like his own.

Xing Zhongwan’s got a headache. This was not due to his health at all, it’s the gender that’s the problem, brother. This blunder really became a big mistake. He used to think it was unnecessary to not say it. Now, if he doesn’t say it, Xing Zhongwan will be suspected of deceiving his feelings. Of course, it can’t be for real that Qi Yun actually likes Wanwan.

As he was thinking about it, the old housekeeper came. “Miss Xing, someone is looking for you.”

Xing Zhongwan squinted. Someone came to look for him?

It was the secretary by Xing Zhengping’s side. A forty-year-old man who looked a little wretched. Of course he was not really wretched, it was just Xing Zhongwan that disliked the Xing family and didn’t have any good impression of them.

“Young master, I came here to bring a message for young master.” The visitor stood respectfully in front of Xing Zhongwan and Xing Zhongwan snorted coldly, “Young master, I remember that I was removed from the Xing’s family tree a long time ago. Where did the ‘young master’ come from?” The man smiled, “No matter what, the blood relationship between you and the master is real.”

Xing Zhongwan was getting a little impatient, “Just get straight to the point. No more idle chit-chat.”

“Yes,” Xing Zhongwan’s attitude did not irritate the man standing in front of him,

“Young Master, the master said to please continue living here as Miss Xing.”

Xing Zhongwan couldn’t help but laugh out loud, “what kind of ploy is my old father making now?”

“Master asked me to bring you this message. No matter what the Qi family asks, please cooperate. Your mother will be moved into the family grave soon.”

Xing Zhongwan really wanted to spit at him. Was he such an easy fvcking target! The Qi family left him to die, so will Xing Zhongwan also cooperate with them and die together as well?

If Xing Zhengping wasn’t the head of the Xing family of this generation, it would’ve been mandatory for his mother to be moved to the family grave. Xing Zhongwan already got screwed over by him before, but now he was still here waiting to get more pissed off.

Forcing himself to calm down, Xing Zhongwan walked to the window and took a deep breath, quickly thinking about the powerful connections he held in his mind.

The regret his mother held in her eyes before her death would never be forgotten by Xing Zhongwan for all eternity. Of course, with his current ability, he could force Xing Zhengping to give up, but this was not what his mother wanted. His mother grew up in Xing’s family and had a deep affection for his father’s side of the family. He can’t be impulsive.

Xing Zhengping has suddenly asked someone to come tell him off, so that means someone must’ve said something to him. Xing Zhongwan glanced at the old housekeeper who was standing not far away, who was sneering from the corners of her mouth. This little snitch finally came out.

It seems that according to the current situation, he could only help Qi Yun get better as soon as possible. He can’t predict the extent to which Qi Yun will recover, but Qi Yun must also have his own plan. This was the only way he could get himself out of this as soon as possible!

Xing Zhongwan went back to face the man. “Go on and tell him, I will do as he says, but he must also keep his promise! If he dares to lie to me, then I won’t mind fighting to the death!”

When Xing Zhongwas went downstairs, he took a look at the old housekeeper. The old lady looked at him with a wry smile. Xing Zhongwan walked to her and looked at her, “The old lady isn’t too shabby. Knowing to use Missus Qi to press me. It seems we can’t keep our truce anymore, just wait and see!”

Xing Zhongwan snorted and went upstairs. The old housekeeper looked back at his back, with a little indifference in her eyes. You are just an illegitimate child who can’t even get a say in this. What kind of ruckus can you make? Just keep quiet and deal with it!

Xing Zhongwan was called away and he didn’t know what was happening. The person hasn’t returned yet so Qi Yun was a little anxious. The bedroom door opened and Xing Zhongwan came in, sitting on the chair beside Qi Yun’s bed. He was a little angry but he couldn’t let it out, so he could only keep it inside.

“Who is it? The Xing family?”

Qi Yun felt that Xing Zhongwan was breathing a little heavier than usual. Qi Yun’s heart sank and suddenly there was a murderous intent in his heart that he hadn’t had for a long time now.

“Did the Xing family threaten you with your mother? Did my mother do it?”

Xing Zhongwan took a deep breath. He didn’t want to answer Qi Yun’s question.

“Your injuries are almost healed. I will draw a bath for you. The bathtub has been changed by the workers. I will carry you on my back.”

Xing Zhongwan went to lift Qi Yun’s quilt but Qi Yun took his hand. “Wanwan, don’t hide things from me.”

Xing Zhongwan’s heart sank. It’s useless even if you know it because you can’t solve it. You can’t even help yourself now. I’ll be grateful if you just get better.

“I’m really fine, you don’t need to worry.”

In the bathroom, Xing Zhongwan filled in the hot water and placed Qi Yun in carefully. There were handles on both sides that Qi Yun could hold onto and not slip off. Xing Zhongwan held the bath sponge, carefully wiping Qi Yun’s scrawny back.

Qi Yun felt that Xing Zhongwan was in a bad mood. She had a lot of things on her mind, but she didn’t want to tell Qi Yun that because he was powerless. Thinking about it from a different standpoint, even if he knew it, he couldn’t do anything for her at this point in time. Qi Yun felt a little annoyed.

“You haven’t taken a bath in a long time, are you happy?” Xing Zhongwan’s voice came back but there were no emotions to be heard in that voice. The strawberry-flavored shower gel was very sweet and it made pink bubbles appear all over his body.

Xing Zhongwan was definitely looking for something to say, the atmosphere was too awkward and needed to be eased up… Qi Yun did not answer him and the atmosphere became even more awkward…

Xing Zhongwan decided to shut up.

“When I was young, my grandma washed me like this.” Qi Yun suddenly frightened Xing Zhongwan and he threw out the bath sponge in his hand. He picked it back up in anguish. Brother, can you not surprise others when you speak?

But Madam Qi’s gentle face flashed in his mind.

“Your grandma must’ve loved you very much.”

Qi Yun’s body paused, and the corners of his mouth curved up. Xing Zhongwan felt that he wanted to laugh, but he couldn’t laugh.

“Grandma was the only person in the Qi family who treated me sincerely. Someone of her temperament shouldn’t have married into the Qi family. How many women my grandfather has outside is well known, and he may not even remember how many grandsons he has. He doesn’t like my grandma. He didn’t even like my father. After I was born, my grandma raised me personally, and she’s already seen through my mother’s selfish heart a long time ago.”

The matter between Madam Qi and Qi Zongcheng, Xing Zhongwan also knew about some of it, but only the parts that everyone else knew too.

“You should also know what the outsiders say about me. That I’m cold-blooded and ruthless, that after the passing of my grandmother who raised me, I only walked away without shedding a tear.”

Qi Yun’s voice was hollow and emotionless, as if he was talking about someone else, but Xing Zhongwan heard something different.

“That person already died. Crying is for the living to see, and the real sadness will always remain in the heart.”

Xing Zhongwan’s words weren’t just empty. It came from the same place after one lost their close relative. Xing Zhongwan understood this feeling.

Qi Yun didn’t expect Xing Zhongwan to say this, his originally closed heart suddenly opened up. Wanwan understood him.

Qi Yun grabbed Xing Zhongwan’s soapy hand, “I won’t be like my grandfather. There’ll only be one person in my life, Wanwan. It’s you, and it can only be you.”

Xing Zhongwan was stunned. Qi Yun, has being sick made you stupid? Your character is different from before. What should I do? Just like a hedgehog taking off his spikes and letting others squish and knead it into a ball, making difficult words harder to speak. Xing Zhongwan feels that this is a big disaster…

BTW, if you like dragons and are looking for something to read with Dragons and tons of smut, do check out my original series “This Sly Dragon’s Getting a Little Too Close For Comfort“. It’s a story of a ordinary guy who gets transmigrated into a body of a Herma, a race of people with both- ahem “parts” down below. However, because he was born a male, the first in many years, he was cast out of his home. Don’t worry though, this story is soup for the soul and diickk as there are more fluffy moments to come when he accidentally picks up the egg of the legendary demon lord that’s supposed to destroy the magic of the world he’s transmigrated into. The story includes many moments of the MC taking care of the baby dragon aka probably his future husband as well as his adventures in this strange world, as he uncovers the true reason he was sent here!1!1!

Chapter 22

On Friday, Li Zhenran came back earlier than usual in the afternoon. He said something to Wang Ma on the first floor, but Li Zhenruo didn’t hear it clearly.

After a while, Li Zhenran took Wang Ma up to the third floor. Wang Ma entered Li Zhenran’s room, and Li Zhenran untied the cat leash on Li Zhenruo’s body.

Of course, his collar still couldn’t be removed.

But it was enough for Li Zhenruo to roll on the ground comfortably.

Li Zhenran picked up Li Zhenruo and walked into the room.

Li Zhenruo saw that Wang Ma was helping Li Zhenran to pack up, but she didn’t pack too much, and just took a small box. After packing up, Wang Ma handed the box to Li Zhenran and said, “Be careful on the road.”

       Li Zhenran nodded, “I know.”

At the same time, Li Zhenran’s driver came upstairs and took down all Li Zhenruo’s daily necessities.

Li Zhenruo guessed in his heart that Li Zhenran was going to take him out, but where? Could it be that he was sent to be neutered, and then he needed to stay in the hospital for a few days? So Li Zhenran packed up and planned to accompany him to the pet hospital?

       No!

       Li Zhenruo began to struggle.

Li Zhenran looked down at him coldly.

Li Zhenruo was immediately frightened by his gaze and did not dare to move.

Li Zhenran went downstairs with a small suitcase in one hand and Li Zhenruo in the other. The driver had packed up Li Zhenruo’s daily necessities and drove the car to the gate to wait for him.

He got into the car and put Li Zhenruo in the back seat at the same time.

The driver asked him, “Second young master, shall we leave?”

       Li Zhenran said, “Let’s go.”

Li Zhenruo wanted to ask them where they were going, but he couldn’t. He felt uneasy. What he was most afraid of was that Li Zhenran would take him to castrate him. Li Zhenruo lay down on the seat, and after lying down for a while, he felt uneasy, he got up and moved to Li Zhenran’s lap.

Li Zhenran reached out and rested his hand on Li Zhenruo’s back.

The car drove for a while, and when Li Zhenruo stood up and looked out the car window, he realized that they were not going to the pet hospital to cut up his little dingding, but were heading out of the city.

Thinking of the luggage that Li Zhenran had packed, Li Zhenruo realized that Li Zhenran was probably going to take a two-day vacation during the weekend, and this time he brought him with him.

He still remember that Li Zhenran often went out for short-term vacations in the past. At that time, he had to ask Li Zhenran to sign for him for an urgent project. He also personally went to a resort hotel in the countryside and found Li Zhenran who was fishing.

Like an old man, Li Zhenruo thought at that time.

But today, the sudden thought that he might be going on vacation with Li Zhenran, made Li Zhenruo felt better all of a sudden.

Well, he still has a lot of things to do, and he hasn’t had time to think about how to get back Li Zhenzi, but who cares about him, let’s have a good weekend first.

Away from Li’s house to the green suburbs, with fresh air and beautiful scenery, and Li Zhenran accompanied him.

Li Zhenruo lay on Li Zhenran’s lap and closed his eyes comfortably.

It took them two hours to reach their destination, which was a large forested villa, with dense mountains in the back and a cool lake in front.

Li Zhenruo knew this place. It was a high-class vacation club, and Li Zhenran seemed to come here often.

The car was parked in the villa. Li Zhenran carried Li Zhenruo out of the car and held him in his arms.

Now in this unfamiliar environment, Li Zhenran did not choose to put him on the ground. In fact, since he escaped and was caught back, Li Zhenran was reluctant to let him go easily most of the time, perhaps because he was afraid that he would run away again.

This made Li Zhenruo feel a little guilty.

The villa was located by the lake, and only a few minutes walk from the parking lot, Li Zhenruo saw a lake. The wind with water vapor blew on his face, his fluffy fur and whiskers swayed slightly together and it maked him a little itchy. He raised his paw and scratched his face.

       “Zhenran.”

Li Zhenruo heard someone calling Li Zhenran’s name, he looked up and saw a tall and handsome man standing not far away, smiling at them.

       Luo Fei?

Li Zhenruo was simply a little stunned when he recognized the man’s identity. Luo Fei was a businessman. In Li Jianglin’s words, he was young and promising. Luo Fei started to operate the logistics industry more than ten years ago. It coincided with the popularity of online shopping, and the logistics industry began to flourish. Today, the logistics outlets he has established have spread all over the country, and they were growing stronger and stronger.

Luo Fei and the Li family had some business cooperation before, but Luo Fei’s personality was relatively reclusive. He wasn’t even interested to join various business activities, so Li Zhenruo has no way to befriend him.

But he didn’t expect that Li Zhenran would invite Luo Fei to spend the weekend together here today.

Li Zhenruo knows that Yunlin was trying e-commerce recently. If it developed, the cooperation with Luo Fei would be particularly important. It seems that this was not just a vacation for Li Zhenran, but he was also trying to win over business partners.

Luo Fei and Li Zhenran shook hands casually and then let go. It seemed that the two were quite familiar with each other.

At this time, Luo Fei also noticed the cat that Li Zhenran was holding in his arms. He bent down slightly to look at Li Zhenruo and said, “A Garfield?”

Li Zhenran smiled and replied, “Yes.”

Li Zhenruo felt that Luo Fei was looking at him very carefully, and was somewhat baffled.

However, Luo Fei had already stood up straight, put his hands in the pockets of his casual trousers, and said, “It’s cute.”

Then Luo Fei turned around and walked with Li Zhenran along the lake towards the opposite of the villa complex. As they walked, Luo Fei said, “I brought a friend here today.”

       “Oh?” Li Zhenran replied.

They walked not far when they saw a man standing by the lake.

Li Zhenruo was curious, he stretched his neck to look, and saw that it was a handsome young man. The man was wearing a white long-sleeved shirt with sky blue long jeans underneath, and his legs are long and straight.

“Xiao Feng!” Luo Fei called him.

The young man turned to look at them, saw Luo Fei beckoning to him and walked over.

Luo Fei introduced him, “This is Li Zhenran, you should have heard the name; this is Feng Junyuan, a surgeon at the Affiliated Hospital of C University, a friend of mine.”

Li Zhenran stretched out his hand, “Hello.”

Feng Junyuan looked indifferent, shook hands with Li Zhenran, and said, “Hello, Mr. Li.”

As they shook hands, Feng Junyuan looked at Li Zhenruo in Li Zhenran’s arms.

Li Zhenruo was startled when he saw that Feng Junyuan suddenly brought his handsome and fair face closer, and tilted his head back slightly.

After he looked at Li Zhenruo for a while, Feng Junyuan turned to look at Luo Fei. Luo Fei put one hand on Feng Junyuan’s shoulder with a smile, and said, “This is Zhenran’s cat, what’s its name?”

       Li Zhenran said, “Dumpling.”

Luo Fei said with a smile, “Sounds so cute. Let’s go to dinner first, there is still more time after dinner, so let’s talk slowly.”

They ate dinner at the large open-air restaurant by the lake. The food was mostly delicious fresh river fish, including a lot of cold-water fish.

Li Zhenran specifically instructed the kitchen to cook a small fish for Li Zhenruo.

As they ate, Li Zhenran finally put Li Zhenruo on the ground and let him eat by himself.

Luo Fei was a little curious and asked Li Zhenran, “Won’t this cat run?”

Li Zhenran said, “It ran away once and I caught it back.”

Luo Fei was a little amused when he heard the words, “People often say that raising a pet will bring out affections. Just like it was one’s own family, one will not be able to let go. It seems that this cat is already very important to you.”

Li Zhenran said calmly, “It’s mine.”

Li Zhenruo couldn’t help looking up at him. He shrunk his neck and felt cool.

Dr. Feng had been very quiet, but at this moment he suddenly asked, “Why does it run away?”

Li Zhenran looked at him, a little strange, “How am I supposed to know?”

Luo Fei put his hand on Feng Junyuan’s shoulder and said with a smile, “Xiao Feng is full of love for small animals. He said that he can communicate with many small animals. Do you believe it?”

Li Zhenran heard what he said, smiled and said nothing, obviously not believing it.

Li Zhenruo glanced at Feng Junyuan curiously.

Li Zhenran put one hand on his cheek and drank some beer in the evening. He was a little drunk now. He thought about it and said, “Maybe it’s because I said I would castrate it.”

       Feng Junyuan was startled.

Luo Fei laughed out loud, leaning his head on Feng Junyuan’s shoulder.

Li Zhenran gently touched the edge of the bowl with chopsticks in his hand, and asked Feng Junyuan, “Xiao Feng, can you help me ask him, did he slip out of the house because I wanted to castrate him?”

Li Zhenruo was nibbling his fish quietly, but when he heard Li Zhenran’s words, he didn’t dare to let out his breath and raised his head to look at him.

Li Zhenran also turned to look at Li Zhenruo.

At this moment, Feng Junyuan suddenly stood up, he walked up to Li Zhenruo and squatted down, leaning closer to Li Zhenruo, who seemed to be smelling him with his nose.

Li Zhenruo wanted to hide at first, but then thought about what he was afraid of, he shrugged his nose and pretended to smell Feng Junyuan.

Feng Junyuan looked a little puzzled, looked at Li Zhenruo for a while, and asked him, “Do you want to be neutered?”

Li Zhenruo couldn’t express it, but the panic at that moment could not be concealed.

Feng Junyuan looked at his eyes, stood up and said to Li Zhenran, “Mr Li, you’d better not take your cat to be neutered, otherwise, he run away next time.”

Li Zhenran looked at him with a slightly puzzled expression, and asked, “It can understand people’s words? I mean I just mentioned it, but I haven’t taken it to the hospital yet, but it has slipped away.”

Feng Junyuan said, “Many animals are smarter than you think.”

When Li Zhenran heard this, he nodded and said, “Okay, I understand, I won’t take him to be neutered.”

When Li Zhenruo heard his words, he exhaled a long breath and sat down on the ground.

With a smile on his face, Luo Fei picked up his beer mug and said to Li Zhenran, “Come, have a drink.”

Li Zhenran cooperated with him and raised the glass, “Cheers.”

Chapter 21

Li Zhenran was an emotionally reserved person. He sat next to Li Zhenruo and didn’t say a word. Occasionally the doctor came in and they would only have two simple conversations.

But Li Zhenruo was touched enough that Li Zhenran was willing to stay by his side for so long.

If he thought about it from another perspective, Li Zhenruo himself definitely didn’t have so much time to accompany a pet. Let alone time for pets, even if it was his girlfriend, he might just go and have a look and send a bunch of flowers. Such peaceful company was really precious.

After he finished the infusion, he was taken away by the doctor for a full-body examination. After that, he was given a bath to remove insects, and he was cleaned. When the fur on the whole body was fluffy again, Li Zhenruo doesn’t look much different from the past. As for whether his face looked hungry or not, it was impossible to confirm it.

Before they left, Li Zhenran actually asked Hua Yibang to take a collar from the car, and then he personally put it on Li Zhenruo’s neck.

Li Zhenruo wanted to refuse, but he couldn’t move because of his legs.

He heard Hua Yibang say that this was a positioning collar.

       What the fvck!

If this was a positioning collar, didn’t it mean that no matter where he went in the future, Li Zhenran would be able to know his whereabouts at any time? Would it still be okay?

However, this collar was quite beautiful. It was a black leather collar.

Li Zhenran put the collar on him and seemed very satisfied. He reached out and pinched his ear, and then took a cat leash and put it on him.

This time, Li Zhenruo refused to do it no matter what, but he couldn’t struggle against Li Zhenran. Even if he refused to leave, Li Zhenran still picked up his two front legs and walked outside with him.

Until they got into the car, Li Zhenruo pretended to be dead to express his opposition.

Li Zhenran said calmly, “I’ll take it off for you if you behave.”

Hua Yibang was sitting in the passenger seat. After he heard this, he turned around and glanced at Li Zhenruo.

Li Zhenruo had a look of someone that has given up on life on his face, and tears kept pouring out of the corners of his eyes. However, these are completely physiological tears, perhaps because of his poor physical condition, he has been crying a lot these past two days.

Hua Yibang couldn’t help but said, “It probably doesn’t want to be sterilized.”

Li Zhenruo silently praised Hua Yibang in his heart.

Li Zhenran actually noticed that everything started from the day he said he wanted to sterilize the cat, but he was also worried that it was because the cat was in heat, so it ran around everywhere.

Li Zhenran’s silence made Li Zhenruo a little uneasy.

But in the end, Li Zhenran still said, “Let’s talk about it after some time. I’m afraid its current physical condition is not suitable for surgery.”

Li Zhenruo breathed a long sigh of relief.

However, the cat leash on his body had not yet been removed for him, and it was uncomfortable. He hesitated, approached Li Zhenran cautiously, put his chin on his lap, and raised his eyes to look at him.

Li Zhenran asked Hua Yibang to give him a tissue to help Li Zhenruo wipe away the tears on his face. He looked very indifferent when he spoke, and said, “If you dare to run away again, I will castrate you, lock you up and never let you out.”

       Li Zhenruo shivered in fright.

Hua Yibang also stretched out his hand and raised his glasses, thinking to himself: What a terrible possessiveness!

Back at Li’s house, Wang Ma was already at the door of the house. As soon as she saw Li Zhenruo who had been carried down from the car by Li Zhenran, she hurried over and said, “Why do you have to starve like this, sweetie?”

Li Zhenruo was touched by his head and did not know how hungry he looked.

“It must be hard to live outside, right? Who told you to run away?” Wang Ma said to him.

In fact, if it wasn’t for checking the files of the appraisal office, Li Zhenruo would not have been locked up for a few days. It seemed that the Li family thought that he would lose his ability to survive if he left the Li family, and was starving miserably outside every day.

But no one knew how easy he was eating and drinking at school before.

The cat leash on Li Zhenruo’s body had not been taken off. Li Zhenran took him directly to the third floor and tied him near the door of the recreation room. Then put his rice bowl and water bowl over.

Now he could eat, drink, sleep, eat, drink, and sleep in this area. It seemed that Li Zhenran didn’t plan to let him go any time soon.

Li Zhenruo felt that Li Zhenran probably wanted to teach him a lesson and told him not to run away again. However, after wandering outside for almost a week, Li Zhenruo felt that living in a big house without worrying about eating and drinking was indeed very happy. If he wasn’t forced, he wouldn’t be willing to run away.

Besides, if he ran away, who would help him deal with his revenge on Li Zhenzi?

Fortunately, the cat leash was quite long. It was enough for Li Zhenruo to walk out of the recreation room and walk half a circle in the corridor. He could even go down two stairs and stand next to the railing and look down.

Li Zhenran tied him up and left.

Although there was no time to get angry at him, Li Zhenran was angry for sure. And now was time for Li Zhenruo’s punishment.

Li Zhenruo was left alone on the third floor, it was already afternoon, and the three brothers were not at home. Wang Ma rarely came up, so he was somewhat lonely being chained here.

He was lying on the corner of the stairs, sticking his head out from the middle of the railing, and could see all the way to the first floor.

However, it didn’t really mean anything, because no one would look up at him from the first floor.

Before he slipped out of Li’s house, Li Zhenzi had just gone on a business trip to the west. Now that a week has passed, he thought that Li Zhenzi should have come back.

I wonder if I can see him at dinner today.

But Li Zhenzi didn’t come back during dinner.

Li Zhenran didn’t go out after dinner. Hearing the sound of him going up the stairs, Li Zhenruo stood up unconsciously.

He saw that Li Zhenran went all the way to the third floor, just gave him a light glance, and then walked towards his room. Li Zhenruo wanted to follow, but was caught by the rope and couldn’t follow before reaching Li Zhenran’s door.

       “Meow!” Li Zhenruo called out.

Li Zhenran looked back at him, then turned to walk in front of him, squatted down, pointed his finger at his wet nose, and said, “One week, reflect properly.”

“Meow~” Li Zhenruo lowered his voice, sounding a bit pitiful.

Li Zhenran was not soft-hearted. He got up and continued walking towards the room, and then closed the door in front of Li Zhenruo.

Li Zhenruo lowered his eyes, groaned in his heart, and went back to the stairs to continue lying down.

That night, Li Zhenzi didn’t come back until after eleven o’clock. He probably drank some wine because he had a dinner party that night. But today he was somewhat restrained and was not too drunk.

When he came back, even Wang Ma had already turned off the TV and gone to bed, and the living room was dark.

Li Zhenruo heard the sound and stood up. He went down two blocks of stairs, stuck his head out from the middle of the railing, and stared in the direction of the second floor.

Li Zhenzi didn’t turn on the light but went up the stairs in the dark. Because he was drunk, his footsteps seemed a little unstable. When he walked to the stairs on the second floor, Li Zhen raised his head inadvertently and saw a black shadow sticking out his head at the stairs leading to the third floor, and at the same time, he saw a pair of bright eyes.

He choked, but fortunately, he was still able to keep his composure. He just raised his head to look carefully, and then he could see clearly that it was a cat crouching there and looking at him.

Li Zhenzi raised his hand and wiped his face heavily. The fright just now scared half of his drunkenness. At this time, he did not rush to find Li Zhenruo to settle the account. But to think that he has been scared out of his wits by a cat was sort of miserable.

After that, he dragged his unsteady steps back to his room.

Li Zhenruo sat quietly in place for a while before getting up and going back to his bed in the recreation room.

The next day, Li Zhenzi didn’t wake up until after ten o’clock in the morning. There was no meeting in Yunlin today, so he was not in a hurry, and could arrange his own time leisurely.

When he got up, Li Zhentai and Li Zhenran had already finished breakfast and went out.

Li Zhenzi stretched out his hand and pinched Li Zhenruo’s face.

Li Zhenruo endured and did not escape.

Li Zhenzi seemed to be just teasing him. He looked up and saw the cat leash on him, and asked, “Second brother tied you up? Who told you to run around? Be a good boy and reflect on it.”

After he said that, Li Zhenzi turned around and ran downstairs, asking, “Wang Ma, when did the second brother catch his cat back?”

Wang Ma replied loudly, “Yesterday afternoon! Poor little baby, he was starving and collapsed.”

Li Zhenruo turned around and went back upstairs, and thought why was it so exaggerated.

But when he saw Li Zhenzi today, he suddenly had an idea. There were too few things he could do now. If he wanted to deal with Li Zhenzi, he was afraid he had to borrow someone else’s hand.

However, before that, he probably still have to find out, was Yue Zijia doing this at Li Zhenzi’s instigation, or was there someone else behind her?

Li Zhenran did what he said and actually tied Li Zhenruo with a cat leash for a week.

Every day when Li Zhenruo saw Li Zhenran going downstairs, he would meow twice at his feet, but it didn’t work. Sometimes Li Zhenran didn’t even look at him.

Li Zhenruo felt that Li Zhenran must be angry.

Even though Li Zhenran was angry, he arranged Li Zhenruo’s diet well.

Every day, Li Zhenruo has boiled chicken and fresh milk eggs. Wang Ma told him that Li Zhenran specially asked the kitchen to prepare them and wanted to supplement him with nutrients.

While eating chicken, Li Zhenruo’s heart was bubbling, well, he was somewhat moved. If Li Zhenran has been so kind to him since he was a child, he must repay this brother wholeheartedly. It was not as if the relationship between them were not as good as that of ordinary friends.

This Sly Dragon’s Getting a Little Too Close For Comfort Chapter 0

“No… more…”

Zhennan sat at a table alone, tending to his glass that was filled to the brim with liquor he didn’t like.

He squinted at the line and lines of text on his phone but it was no use. Seems like he’ll have to continue reading it tomorrow after he’s sobered up.

He had come here to try and feel better, but it was no use. It was just his luck that he somehow misplaced the important documents of one of the largest clients in his company, even though he had been so careful… He looked everywhere, but it was nowhere to be found, and now he was deciding if he should hand in his resignation papers first thing tomorrow morning or after his shift has ended. Obviously, he knows that employees should all hand in their resignation letters at least a month before leaving the company, but he’s the seventh secretary that Linghua’s had, so his position was a very special case- not to mention dangerous. After such a big screw-up, he was sure to be fired very soon after his boss found out.

Just what should he do…

It was the first time anything like this happened. He’s always been meticulous all his life… just what went wrong?

Perhaps everything will feel better tomorrow, he thinks as he walks towards the bar to get some orange juice instead. He reached into his pocket to grab a packet of milk candy, but bumped into someone he wished he didn’t.

It was his boss, Linghua himself. He really wished he could dig a hole and hide himself. It seemed like his boss was also not in the best of moods either. Usually, he was stoic and had a cold demeanor, despite his handsome face. But strangely, towards Zhennan, he would smile and was kind. He often tried cracking jokes while they were at work. However, this only made Zhennan more scared and wary of the man as he didn’t know whether to laugh or remain silent at his jokes. Most of the time, he would just nod and leave the room as quickly as possible. There was something else about his boss that unsettled Zhennan too, but he really didn’t want to admit it to himself either as he didn’t want to be prejudiced.

Zhennan thinks he should visit a temple soon to be cleansed of this apparent bad luck that has been following him as the packet of candy in his hands fell to the ground. At the same time, Linghua had also taken out a packet of pills but they fell to the ground as well. Quickly, Zhennan picked their dropped items up and stuffed the packets into Linghua’s out-reached hands.

“Zhennan, why don’t we have some drinks together?”

His boss had asked personally, so he couldn’t refuse.

Quickly chewing at the tasteless candy as he drank down his orange juice, trying to keep his mouth full so he would not have to engage in conversation too much. He could barely look straight at Linghua’s face without feeling guilty about those lost files. Linghua was now talking about something but he was a little too drunk and out of it to listen properly.

Just as he was about to open his mouth to probably say something stupid that he’ll regret the next morning, no words came out.

Instead, he just blacked out there and then.

When he woke up again, he was in pain. His head, his body, everything was throbbing pretty badly. It was probably the alcohol from last night.

“You’re finally awake.”

Zhennan opened his eyes but immediately shut them again after the bright rays of sunlight felt like they were attacking his brain.

“Take your time” The female voice said.

He let out a ‘mn’ before slowly sitting up, squinting a few before he could see properly.

There was a woman in some really archaic wear bandaging his forearm. Her hair was graying despite her youthful appearance. Nevertheless, he couldn’t help himself from thinking that the woman was very beautiful.

“You hit your head pretty hard, so I’m going to have to ask you to recite the rules of our clan one by one to me to make sure nothing’s broken in there,” she had explained, pointing at her own temple.

“Just ask him if he remembers his name, that should be enough, no?” Another voice had come behind this doctor’s, Zhennan notes.

It was another mysteriously beautiful woman, much like the doctor that was attending to him. Like her, this one was also dressed strangely.

Zhennan only stared at the two people dumbfoundedly. Were they both actors shooting a movie or something..? He was snapped out of his thoughts by the dark-haired woman, who nudged his shoulder.

“Your name, and the rules.” She demanded.

Zhennan could answer the first, but what rules was the woman referring to?

“Hey, Zhennan. Don’t you dare play dumb or else I will make you copy the laws of the clan a hundred times alone in the Silent Pavilion again.”

How did this woman know his name?

“You were too hard on him, Wenyi. He’s really not lying, you’ve probably traumatized him so much he lost the ability to speak too. You can’t be too harsh on him or he’ll grow to be a cold adult.”

“But the books said that he can take tribulations at least ten times more difficult than his peers of the same age!”

“Yes, but perhaps that doesn’t mean you can throw him into the volcano. He’s not a phoenix, he’s still a Herma, like us!”

Did the doctor just say the dark-haired one threw him into a volcano?

“He’ll be fine after a few more tries. We’re going back there after you patch him up.”

Excuse me?

“What? Wenyi, don’t be unreasonable. Haven’t you heard a word of what I just said? He’s still a child! Just toss him inside the Dark Forest like a normal person. At least he’ll encounter a few monsters there that’ll rough him up, but they won’t kill him. Probably.”

These women are insane, he didn’t know if the Dark Forest was any better than a volcano, but it definitely didn’t sound any better!

Zhennan looked solemnly at the two very beautiful women arguing. Just then, the doctor passed him a book.

“I think a week’s bedrest should be sufficient for you to regain your memories. Here’s something to jog your memory.”

He flipped through the book, only to be greeted by a thick foliage of what appeared to be a numbered list of detailed rules. Cautiously, he got out of bed before slowly walking towards the sliding doors of where the dark-haired one had come in from.

These women are very pretty but, nevertheless, still insane!

As soon as he slid the door open, both women eyed his back warily.

“Hey… Zhennan. Wait there a second…”

Without looking back, he immediately bolted out of there before the dark-haired woman could change her mind. There must be someone outside that could help him!

Many pillars zoomed past him as he ran through the corridors leading out of the building earlier. However, as he ran, it seemed like his heart wasn’t the only thing thumping behind him. Turning around, he was greeted to the sight of the dark-haired woman earlier, only now, she seemed enraged as she chased after him.

“Oh? Seems like you still can run very well, so you were only pretending to be sick?” Her voice was still very calm and tranquil, a stark contrast to the very scary expression she wore on her face. “You better stop running from me now Zhen. Nan.”

It reminded Zhennan of his own mother. Which was all the more the reason not to stop running. If this woman was anything like his mother, he was sure he would not survive if he got caught!

He hopped outside the tiled path and began to run barefoot in the grass. This place was larger than he thought, just how much did he drink last night that he fell unconscious long enough to get abducted to this strange place..? It was too late to wonder that, as he was about to dart into the lush greenery he had spotted before from a distance away, a dark shadow suddenly hovered over him.

It didn’t give him a second longer to look up as a heavy weight pinned him down, effectively rendering him immobile and flattened to the ground. The pain of the impact hit him first, but he struggled in its grasp for a bit before he truly realized what had caught him. If the long, sharp talons affixed on his shoulders didn’t scare the soul out of his body, what came next surely did. A sweltering lick of flame grazed the side of his face, nearly burning his ear off.

That was when he suddenly realized why this place seemed so familiar. The dark-haired woman named Wenyi, why she knew his name, the strange rules and names they’ve recited to him earlier. Slowly turning his head, he squinted at the brightly burning beast on top of him. It was a Phoenix, and just like the one he had read about in the novel just yesterday before passing out, this one had six feathers on its tail, indicating that it was a very ancient creature. Usually, the number of feathers a phoenix has is indicative of how many life cycles they’ve gone through, and oftentimes, the older they are, the more powerful and potentially dangerous.

His sight then flew towards the book he was holding earlier. Now, it lay on the ground but it’s cover title was clearly visible to him, spelling out Secret Vermillion Forest City in four bold, red letters. In the novel that he read, there was a female love interest whom the protagonist rescued from a band of human traffickers. This girl hailed from the Secret Vermillion Forest City, where the people of Herma resided. It is said that their beauty was unrivalled and they descended from angels. It just so happened that the girl also owned a phoenix which might really be this exact one that was right on top of him. After all, it was said in the novel that a six-feathered phoenix was really rare.

Even as he was held down, he could see the dark-haired woman from a distance, at the corner of his eye. Her expression had slightly changed to one of worry, though she still looked angry. Behind her, the doctor from earlier whistled.

“Phew, that’s a big one. Must’ve followed him all the way from the volcano. It was probably attracted to his yang energy.”

The dark-haired woman clicked her tongue before pulling out a long, silver pole. Unlike the intricately designed weaponry that he’s read about in the novel, this one was almost no different to a broomstick’s handle. Only difference was that this equipment probably wasn’t used to take out trash, in the same sense one would to clean their house.

The doctor’s carefree expression also seemed to vanish as soon as she saw the other pull out that polearm.

“Hey Wenyi, don’t be too brash. I’ve signaled for the conservation and rearing department to come and handle this, so put that dangerous thing away.”

Wenyi ignored the other and began to approach the creature that was holding down her precious nephew.

At this point in time, it was just happily trying to groom Zhennan’s long, long hair. Only now did he realize that his neatly gelled hair from last night had become locks that reached past his shoulders. Seems like it had been tied up earlier, but the phoenix’s tongue must’ve broken the string that was holding his hair together. Well, whether the nasty bird was trying to groom or burn off his hair, Zhennan didn’t want to comment. He was wracking his brain, trying to remember if there was any mention in the novel of how the girl had managed to tame the phoenix.

Wenyi didn’t see it that way though. To her, the big monster bird looked like it wanted to turn Zhennan into manure and she was ready to make the phoenix’s seventh feather appear too. Luckily, before she could do anything rash, the aforementioned ‘conservation and rearing’ department really did arrive and rescue Zhennan out of there.

They put out phoenix’s fire, causing it to shrink and turn the size of a sparrow before using some special red cables to bind the bird so it wouldn’t reignite itself or fly away. After that, they covered him in a special blanket before taking the bird away.

He says that he was given a special blanket, but that was only because half his clothes had melted or been burned away so they gave him something to cover up with. Luckily his pants were still intact or else the rest of his pride would no longer be. Surprisingly, his hair and skin were both fine. A little singed, but he was not hurt.

Zhennan wished he could forget about the experience he had just trying to get out from under the fire-bird, but after being embarrassed in front of more beautiful women, he just wants to crawl into a hole and die. Perhaps this was divine retribution for losing those files.

Speaking of those files… just how did he get here? After seeing (and being squished) with his own two eyes, the creature that can only exist in legends, not to mention the magic that the people had used to save him, he could no longer deny that perhaps, this was now his reality.

A/N: I hope you enjoyed that chapter! There’s more to come in the next! There is still much world-building to do, and lore to explain about this strange and mysterious world that our MC has just transmigrated into!

By the way, have you noticed that the title is a play on the well-known chinese idiom “画龙点睛” which directly translates to Drawing a Dragon and dotting its eyes. It’s actually means to add on to perfection. The title which I chose is “猾龙点紧”, which translates to what the english title of the novel is hehe! They both have roughly the same pinyin (are almost pronounced the same way). That’s a bit of trivia for you guys 🙂

This Sly Dragon’s Getting a Little Too Close For Comfort Prologue

*Contains smut

“???”

“Master…” a voice called out. It sounded like someone in pain, but he was too far away to actually know if that was the case. Right now, he was comfortably floating somewhere. He felt light, like he was in a safe place, away from everything else.

Nothing to complain about, apart from the strange feeling in his lower regions. But even that felt far away right now. Was someone there?

He didn’t have to wonder for long. As he was about to drift back to that comfortable floating place again, a particularly rough thrust forced him back to his senses.

“Ah..!?” His eyes snapped open in reflex to get a better sense of what was happening, but he couldn’t immediately see what was right in front of him. Not only were his eyes filled with tears, they were also still re-adjusting to the blinding light coming in from the curtains.

“Master’s so sloppy…” the voice hummed out, nuzzling his face against Zhennan’s before licking the trail of drool leaking from the corner of his mouth.

Says the one who’s responsible for turning him into the said sloppy mess in the first place!

At that moment, some semblance of clarity returned to Zhennan as the other’s ministrations suddenly sped up. He could feel it churning up his insides and almost regretted regaining his consciousness so soon.

“Huahua is… sorry to master… but won’t master… bear with it… a bit more?”

Looking up at the unrepentant rascal who he had raised for the last 100 years, he couldn’t help but feel a little wronged.

It wasn’t that he didn’t feel good, but… hadn’t they been at it for a few days already?!

“Huahua, be good and … let’s ah… rest for a bit?” He had to put quite some effort into making sure his words didn’t come out as punched out moans instead.

However, instead of being the good, obedient boy that he’s always been, Huahua only kept working on his sweet spots.

“Mm… just a bit more, master. Be a good mate for Huahua.”

Huahua gave him a chaste kiss before one of his two hands that were previously holding down Zhennan’s wrists started reaching out towards Zhennan’s belly. With his remaining eye (the other had been gouged out in an incident), he looked straight into Zhennan’s eyes with an intense fervor.

Zhennan felt like he was about to be swallowed whole and eaten up, but before he could stop the stupid dragon from casting the marking spell again, a newfound desire seeped into him. It made him want to comply with the dragon’s request of being a good mate for him. It made him want to be stirred up by Huahua and completely ruined by him.

This sly dragon…!

He knew it was the work of the Heart’s Desire ability that had the power to alter a subject’s state of mind and desires after they look into the eyes of the spell user, but as both of the dragon’s p/nises began growing larger and swelling inside him, he felt it more and more difficult to want to ask Huahua to take it out too.

“Does master… feel good too?” He asked as traced his fingers somewhere slightly above Zhennan’s pubic bone. He was drawing a claiming mark.

“…”

Zhennan did not want to reply, because what the f/ck is he supposed to say in this situation? If he says yes, it’s embarrassing and if he said no, he would be lying.

His silence however, only made Huahua worried that the effect of the spell he cast might’ve been too strong.

“Master?” Huahua frowned and stopped moving inside him.

“?” For a second, the lack of movement felt unbearable to Zhennan as well. It must’ve been the work of the claiming mark that caused the host to feel the same sensations as the caster.

It was originally intended as a spell to keep slaves from inflicting damage on it’s owner, and any damage caused by the slave was also supposed to cause splash-back damage. But who knew this crafty dragon would go modify the spell and use it in moments like these? (Though, Huahua only thought that his master wasn’t enjoying it so he decided to share what he was feeling with his master so they could both feel good together.)

“Does it feel good?” Huahua asked, as he finished drawing the claiming mark.

Zhennan felt so hot he could spill anytime soon. He could feel what Huahua felt, and how warm and soft he was wrapped around both his p/nises. At this moment, he finally understood how the other felt. What he now couldn’t understand was how this stupid dragon’s self-control was so great. Right now, it really felt like Huahua really did go easy on him these past few days. If it were him, he would’ve gone crazy already, moving at such a slow pace and being this gentle.

Thinking about Huahua’s gentleness made his p/ssy and assh/le twitch. Clenching and unclenching around the now unmoving rods inside, he grew wetter and hotter imagining Huahua being rough with him.

Meanwhile, Huahua wrapped his arms around Zhennan’s body and pulled him up so that he was now sitting on both those annoyingly enormous dragon p/nises. They shifted slightly deeper inside him. One was pressing against the entrance of his womb even.

“…!?… t-too deep…”

Huahua smiled, “you’re finally properly responding, master,” before he started licking at his face.

Ah? Were there tears rolling down his face? When did he start crying?

“It feels good for master too, huh?” Huahua looked down between both their bodies before continuing, “master’s always been weak to pleasure…”

Zhennan followed Huahua’s line-of-sight, only to quickly avert his eyes again. Just when did he cum again?! Huahua’s chest was painted in white. Not to mention, his own p/nis which was covered in its own splutter again. He knew it wasn’t from previous rounds because Huahua always took extra care to wipe clean his body every time it became soiled with various fluids.

Despite just climaxing, Zhennan wanted more. It was not that he didn’t feel over-sensitive, but there was a part of him that still felt unsatisfied. It must be due to the claiming mark that he felt that way, and because of that, he felt that Huahua was a little pitiful.

As Huahua was about to reach out towards the windowsill to grab a piece of silk cloth to wipe him off, Zhennan placed his arms around the dragon’s neck for leverage before lifting hips, slowly letting both the dragon p/nises slide out of himself before thrusting them both back deep inside him. Huahua was shocked and grasped Zhennan’s waist with both hands to support him.

“… let go…” Zhennan whispered.

Huahua seemed confused, “master, you shouldn’t-”

“Why won’t you m-move faster?” Zhennan continued shaking his hips to chase some delicious friction between them, “it’s not like… ah… I’ll break if you’re a little mmph… rougher…”

Seeing his mate so lewd, it is only natural as a pureblooded dragon that he desired to give his mate what he asked for. He had initially suppressed his darker desires to tear down all his mate’s inhibitions and make him lose himself in pleasure, but seems like he won’t have to go to extreme lengths to make his mate want such things after his master himself asked so prettily like this.

“Apologies in advance, master…” Huahua breathed out. Before Zhennan could realize what he meant, the grip on his waist tightened just a little before they lifted his entire body, and then slammed the two rods back inside him.

“Ahh..! Fwah…! Hha!” Zhennan really wanted to eat his words, but he also didn’t want Huahua to hold back for his sake either.

As the base of both his p/enises swelled, he started mercilessly dragging the knot in and out of both of Zhennan’s holes, f/king them loose. The wet squelching noises of their obscene love-making got louder and louder as the slapping sound of skin-on-skin echoed across the room.

“Fweels good… don’t stwop..” Zhennan moaned into his ear before Huahua’s bit down on his shoulder. “Rwight there… gonna cum..”

He was so close, and he could feel that Huahua was reaching his limit too…

The mark of claim on his belly pulsed twice, in sync with when both of them came together.

He could feel Huahua filling his insides with warmth, it was so much that some was starting to leak out from where they were connected too. But he was too tired to care, in fact, he was starting to drift off once again. Huahua shifted their bodies so he was more comfortable, but even then, the dragon still refused to pull out, only slowly patting his master’s back gently, as if to comfort him.

“…take it out…” Zhennan muttered with the last of his energy.

He could feel Huahua frown slightly even without looking, “sorry master, can’t. Knot.”

Zhennan wanted to cry. The stupid dragon had cum inside and even knotted him. What if he got pregnant? He could still feel his stomach continue to bloat as his seed continued spilling inside him.

Perhaps Huahua too could feel his mate’s distress, so he only lifted Zhennan’s face slightly so he could look into his eyes as he pat his hair.

“Shh… it’ll be over soon, master…”

“Uwa…  nn..no more…” And that was the last thing Zhennan remembers seeing. Those ruby-red jewels, before his consciousness faded to black again.

A/N: Heyo! Welcome to my original series that I wrote, hope you enjoy it as much as I do. This is supposed to be my speed-writing practice, and hopefully it won’t go over 20 chapters and will be finished by the end of March or Feb if I’m optimistic. Also, please leave a like and comment, I really appreciate it. It would be awesome if you could share your thoughts and constructive criticism with me too as I would like to improve!

I thought some steamy smut to start off would be good, hehe. I hope you’ll stick around for the story that is to come though, if you like dragons like I do, there’s plenty of fluff and dragon-rearing to come ^^ Of course, the story between Zhennan and Huahua hasn’t really occurred yet, this is just a a preview of what’s to come 😀

Chapter 15 – I will take responsibility for you, Wanwan.

Chapter 15 – I will take responsibility for you, Wanwan.

Xing Zhongwan tucked in Qi Yun and went back to his room to call Cheng Zhengzhe.

The phone rang for a long time before it was answered. Cheng Zhengzhe was furious on the other end of the phone, “Who do you think you are? Do you know that it’s the middle of the night right now and Laozi has to sleep?”

Xing Zhongwan distanced himself from the phone for a bit, “Seems that you had some good sleep recently, don’t you need to work overtime?”

The voice on the other end immediately became quieter, “Lao Xing, it’s you? Is that so obvious now huh…? Hehe..he.”

“Come on, cut the crap. I remember you said you had a one-night stand with a doctor who was an expert in ophthalmology. Do you have her contact information?”

Cheng Zhengzhe instantly sobered up and sat up from his bed, “When were you interested in blond chicks?”

Xing Zhongwan coldly snorted, “Is it possible to let her come visit?”

Cheng Zhengzhe chuckled lightly, “To let her come visit your home, just how did you think this up?”

Xing Zhongwan said, “Don’t just ‘haha’ at me. Do you know what I’m trying to do?”

Cheng Zhengzhe hugged the pink pillow next to him, “Lao Xing, you care too much about Qi Yun, ah. Going as far as to ask around for a doctor for him. This isn’t your usual style of doing things. Could it be that you swing the other way now?”

Xing Zhongwan was much too eager to throw the phone from his hand, “You’re a transvestite but you’re still a straight man as straight as steel so it’s not Laozi’s turn to become gay. His and my family has some… er, well there are some things I still can’t explain clearly to you. Just do this one task well. Don’t bother about the rest. Hanging up now.”

“Hey, don’t hang up, hey!”

Cheng Zhengzhe still had the phone grasped tightly with a dazed expression. He then quickly called Xue Qing. The deafening music on the other side of the tone made Cheng Zhengzhe almost throw out the pink pillow in his arms.

“What do you want? Laoniang is busy, why did you call?” The woman’s voice on the other end of the phone was very unpleasant. Cheng Zhengzhe increased the volume, “I think you have to go back to China to see Lao Xing. Don’t let him get stuck in the muddy Qi family.”

There was a sound of high heels clicking and after a while, the sound of music disappeared.

“What do you mean, you sissy! How could Lao Xing have some kind of connection with the Qi family?”

“Anyway, don’t ask too much. Just take some time to fly back and see Lao Xing take the doctor by the way.”

“What doctor?” Xue Qing felt a headache coming.

“It’s not easy for Lao Xing to get out of the mess in the country. We can’t just watch him walk down that old path again.”

Xue Qing’s eyebrows scrunched up. “First tell me, how did he get involved with the Qi family?”

Cheng Zhengzhe took a deep breath,”Laoxing is now doing all the work for Xing Zhongjie by pretending to be her for Qi Yun. “

“What the f/ck!” Xue Qing almost kicked the high heels off her feet, “This is even more impossible than the sun rising from the west. With Xing Zhongwan’s attitude, he’s willing to serve other people? Laoniang can’t wait to see this. Quickly call that doctor, I’ll take some time off to fly back.”

After Zing Zhongwan hung up the phone, he went to take a shower. He changed his clothes and he went back upstairs, feeling refreshed. To tell the truth, he didn’t like cooking very much. The smoke and oil were all really bad for the skin… When he changed his clothes, he realized that the many shopping bags he brought back from last time contained a few sets of clothing for Qi Yun… The allowance given by the Qi family was still spent on Qi Yun.

He went to the third floor and took the clothes out of the shopping bags. “I bought you some clothes. I’ll let you try them. Even if one is lying down, even as an ill person, we must wear presentable clothing so our moods will be good. With a good mood, the body will recover quicker.”

Qi Yun opened his eyes and listened to Xing Zhongwan indifferently as he said a bunch of baffling things.

Xing Zhongwan took out a shirt and decided to let Qi Yun try it on. Qi Yun gave the material a feel, “How much do they give you a month?”

Xing Zhongwan scratched his head and said a figure.

Qi Yun snorted coldly, “With the money they gave you, you won’t be able to afford this shirt.” Xing Zhongwan laughed, his slender eyes became sharp. He couldn’t tell that Qi Yun, just after feeling the material, could guess this.

Yes, the Qi family gave him a lot of money, but compared to Qi Yun’s previous expenses, it was completely incomparable. Xing Zhongwan did spend a lot of his own money. But he doesn’t care. Money is replenishable, after spending it, he can just earn more.

Qi Yun loosened his hand that was holding the shirt, “Open the third drawer of the desk. There is a safe in it. Come here and open your hand for the code.”

Xing Zhongwan opened his hand and Qi Yun wrote a few numbers on the palm of his hand. “There is a stack of bank cards in it. Take out the third one.”

Xing Zhongwan did so, “Got it.”

“There is also a note in it with a row of contact numbers on it. Remember the sixth one.”

Xing Zhongwan memorized it silently, “Anything else?”

“Nothing.”

Xing Zhongwan closed the safe and walked to Qi Yun’s side.

Qi Yun tilted his head, facing Xing Zhongwan, “Keep this card, you can use it to buy whatever you want in the future. The money the Qi family gave you is not enough.”

Xing Zhongwan just wanted to say, I have money. Plus, how can I use an ill person’s money?

Qi Yun spoke in front of him, “As a girl, you shouldn’t spend money. This is just what I should do.” Qi Yun turned his head away a little in embarrassment after he said it.

Xing Zhongwan was petrified in an instant as he held the card. Girl…what f/cking girl, Laozi… Laozi! Since you’re letting me use this card. I’m going to max it out!

“Call that number. The other person will know what to do. You just need to find a way to get me out of here and take me wherever the other person specifies.”

Xing Zhongwan waved the card in his hand. “Can I ask who the other person is? What if I take you out and something happens to you, won’t the Xing family tear me up?”

Qi Yun touched his faintly aching legs, “It’s someone who can be trusted, but it can’t be known to anyone in this house.”

Xing Zhongwan nodded, he is not nosy. Since Qi Yun said so, it should be no problem. After all, Xing Zhengping would not be so obedient about moving his mother back.

“You haven’t told me yet, what did Xing Zhengping promise you? Do you have some leverage in the situation?”

Xing Zhongwan couldn’t help rolling his eyes to the sky. That stubbornness still hasn’t gone yet.

“I already told you…”

“Don’t use being my fiancee as an excuse. I have long disowned the Xing family a long time ago. Even if my mother was involved with Xing Zhengping, it would be useless even if I persisted.”

F/ck. Qi Yun, what do you want me to say? To tell you that I’m the dumb boy who was thrown away by you back then for saying I wanted to make you my wife, that I was here to specifically thank you on behalf of my mother…

I’ll even make the hairs on my own body stand if I said that.

Xing Zhongwan didn’t speak for a long time so Qi Yun couldn’t help but also back off. Wanwan was not an ordinary person. He can’t keep pushing her, it’ll only scare her…

“You…I only just wanted to protect you.”

Xing Zhongwan pondered. You should protect yourself first, still thinking of protecting me? Then after thinking a bit more, he realized this person didn’t mean any ill will. I thought too much and became narrow-minded.

“It has something to do with my mother, but I can handle it. Don’t think so much.”

Xing Zhongwan said vaguely.

Qi Yun didn’t ask anymore. Xing Zhongwan obviously didn’t want him to know too much. His heart felt inexplicably uncomfortable.

“It’s okay if you don’t say it now, we will live together in the future, and I will know sooner or later.”

Which one says we want to live with you all the time?

Xing Zhongwan almost threw the card out of his hand. Is it not enough now? He still wants to enslave me for eternity.

“After all, you have stayed by my side and taken care of me. You won’t find anyone else good in the future, so I’ll marry you.”

Qi Yun’s ears were red and Xing Zhongwan’s face turned pale.

“I will take responsibility for you, Wanwan.”

Pa-ta, the card in Xing Zhongwan’s hand fell to the ground…

Chapter 14 – Let you become the honorable young madam Qi

Chapter 14 – Let you become the honorable young madam Qi

Xing Zhongwan didn’t know at this time that when he was just making a joke, there was someone that took it seriously.

I feel satisfied after looking at the trimmed up hair. The craftsmanship he used to trim his mother’s hair with back then was not forgotten. If you ignore the bald spot on the left side of the forehead, it is still not bad, but Qi Yun can’t see it, so who cares.

Xing Zhongwan cleaned up and decided to push Qi Yun back inside, it was also time to eat lunch. Qi Yun raised his hand and touched his own head. The shoulder-length hair that was disheveled had been cut short. Seeing that Qi Yun’s hand was about to move to touch the bald spot, Xing Zhongwan quickly took Qi Yun’s hand, “Come on, let’s go to eat.”

Qi Yun was visibly stunned but held it back. Xing Zhongwan looked at their held hands in surprise. What the f/ck, as two grown men, what is this… a chill passed down his spine.

Xing Zhongwan pulled his hand away and Qi Yun didn’t say anything. Wanwan’s hands were quite big with very slender fingers. For a girl to have hands like this was… quite rare…

Xing Zhongwan coughed awkwardly and pushed Qi Yun’s wheelchair while walking back.

“You are good at taking care of others.” Qi Yun said suddenly. Xing Zhongwan’s heart was full of mixed feelings. Brother, did you think I was willing? Apart from my mother, there’s no one else I’ve treated as well as I did her, apart from you that is. After finishing my mother’s affairs, Laozi will quickly leave.

Thinking like this in his heart, Xing Zhongwan’s mouth became playful and crass.

“Who made you become my fiance? If I don’t take care of you, then who will.” After speaking, he couldn’t help but get goosebumps. Xing Zhongwan, is it really appropriate for you to harass a sick person like this?

But Qi Yun used to be pretty disgusting too, and nothing wrong with telling a few jokes.

As expected, Qi Yun stopped talking and Xing Zhongwan thought he had successfully disgusted him. Who would think that Qi Yun didn’t think that way, and thought that it was already good enough for someone to accompany him.

At lunch time, Xing Zhongwan asked Qi Yun if he was unwell and whether he wanted to eat upstairs or in the dining room. Qi Yun shook his head, meaning that he didn’t want to go back upstairs.

Xing Zhongwan asked the housekeeper to bring out the meal and pushed Qi Yun to the table. The maids around all bowed their heads and dared not speak. Qi Yun was used to lying down so he didn’t feel it, but now that he’s sitting in a wheelchair, although he was so thin and unable to see, this still made them all feel frightened. Although the person in the wheelchair couldn’t see with his eyes, he had a strong presence. It was unimaginable to think of what he would be like if he really got better in the future.

Xing Zhongwan placed the chopsticks into Qi Yun’s hand, “Do you have any strength? Can you pick it up?” Qi Yun stiffly grasped the chopsticks, his fingers were very inflexible. Xing Zhongwan used his own chopsticks to place some greens in his bowl. “You have some vegetables in your bowl, try to pick them up.”

Qi Yun did so, and it took a long time to muster up the strength to pick up the greens. The hand holding onto the chopsticks was trembling and he was about to put it into his mouth when they landed on his blanket-covered lap. Everyone around took a deep breath but none of them dared to speak. Xing Zhongwan naturally took the vegetables that fell on the blanket and grabbed Qi Yun’s frozen hand. “That’s normal, let’s try again. It’s alright.”

Qi Yun expressionlessly held his chopsticks again, trying to pick up the vegetables in the bowl. The old housekeeper on one side almost couldn’t catch her breath, but surprisingly Qi Yun was not angry and even obediently did it again. The old housekeeper couldn’t help but begin to reevaluate Xing Zhongwan who was sitting next to Qi Yun. Since this man came, the third young master Qi seemed to be faintly changing in some places.

Originally, the old housekeeper didn’t take this person too seriously, but when she knew more about the real person, the old housekeeper was more scornful. The Xing family really made a wishful calculation and sent a man over to pretend to be Xing Zhongjie. It was so daring. Since the missus on the other side didn’t say anything, she also joined in on the act, calling this ‘Miss Xing’, Miss Xing. He was supposed to be an insignificant person. Unexpectedly, he was a little fox hiding in the dark, and very perceptive. It seemed that she had to report to the missus. The third young master Qi’s and attitude towards this man was also beginning to change.

After trying several times, Qi Yun finally put the greens into his mouth. Xing Zhongwan was happy and clapped his hands. “I knew you could do it, look… your chopsticks are able to grasp the vegetables.”

Qi Yun was amused at Xing Zhongwan’s way of exaggerated praise that one would usually give to a child. Although his face was still expressionless, he thought this kind of Wanwan was a little cute. He tried to hold something else using the chopsticks and it went smoother this time. The moment Qi Yun placed it in his mouth and ate it, warmth flowed through Qi Yun’s heart, and this warmth came from the woman sitting next to him.

Xing Zhongwan looked at Qi Yun with a smile, and the maids on the side looked on with shock. It’s too beautiful. He used to have such a fierce and sullen look, but after smiling a little, even the flowers in the room were about to thank them for the dazzling sight.

Qi Yun put down the chopsticks to eat a few bites, Xing Zhongwan asked, “Eat more? No way, are you finished eating?”

Qi Yun faintly said something, “It tastes bad.”

After hearing him say that it tasted bad, the knees of the maid responsible for the cooking went soft. Qi Yun’s voice hasn’t recovered. The hoarse and low sound was indeed unpleasant to hear but the man sitting down with his dull eyes and his suppressive presence was the former third young master Qi could make others shiver with just one glance.

“I’ll…go and remake it..!”

The words came out choppy.

Qi Yun didn’t seem to hear it and turned his face to Xing Zhongwan. “It’s not as delicious as what you made.”

Xing Zhongwan resignedly put down his chopsticks. Yes, he wanted to eat my cooking. It was his fault that he made him crave for his food, and he could only blame himself for this.

He got up and went into the kitchen, opened the refrigerator and took a look before choosing a few digestible dishes and put them in the sink, turned around and asked Qi Yun, “It’ll take half an hour. If you’re tired, I will carry you up first.”

Qi Yun said. “No.”

Xing Zhongwan didn’t give up. “There will be a smell of oil and smoke.”

“It doesn’t matter.”

Xing Zhongwan turned his head helplessly. Was it all in his head but, don’t you think Qi Yun was being a bit clingy like this…

“All of you, leave.” Qi Yun looked to the front, the breathing of the people around him made him feel uncomfortable.

“Third young master Qi, I’ll wait at the side,” the old housekeeper carefully took a step forward. Qi Yun picked up the bowl at the table and threw it in the direction of her sound. The beautiful bowl shattered with a crisp sound at the feet of the old housekeeper.

Someone was already shaking, and the old housekeeper bowed down. Her face was pale.

“I’m not dead yet, it’s not your turn yet to call the shots here!” The old housekeeper took a few steps back, said yes, turned and left. She couldn’t help wiping a handful of sweat from her forehead before leaving.

Several maids rushed out in fright and it was finally quiet and peaceful. Qi Yun closed his eyes, he heard the sound of sizzling vegetable oil in a pan through his ears and felt a little better.

Xing Zhongwan couldn’t help but stick his head out, “Why are you looking for trouble with an old lady? Although she did neglect you before, she was also just a pawn. What’s the point of frightening her? What if something bad happens? Can you find someone else to replace her that’ll be more worry-free than her?”

Qi Yun didn’t reply for a long time and Xing Zhongwan set the vegetables out in front of Qi Yun, “I will warm up some soup, it will be ready soon.”

“She is one of my mother’s people and almost watched me grow up. It’s not that she didn’t treat me well. After I became crippled, she changed. All the good things in the past disappeared with it. Even if she was instructed to be here by my mother, she is still a little sincere, she will not stand by idly just to watch me rot in bed.”

Xing Zhongwan threw the tomato into the pot, “Have you not seen enough greedy people who want to have it both ways?

Qi Yun froze for a moment, and the corner of his mouth curled, “You are not one of them.”

Xing Zhongwan laughed out loud, “Don’t be so arbitrary, be careful that I might’ve poisoned the soup.”

Qi Yun’s meal went very slowly. There was a lot of soup ladled out, and Xing Zhongwan was not in a hurry. He was telling jokes on his own. Qi Yun didn’t speak for a long while, but he was in a good mood.

After he finished drinking a small bowl of soup, Xing Zhongwan stuffed a small towel into Qi Yun’s hand.

Qi Yun wiped his mouth stiffly, and Xing Zhongwan looked at his chin with a sigh. The people who came out of the Qi family were different. Even if they were blind and paralyzed, they were different from others, and they also wiped their mouths differently. What Qi Yun just did even looked better than what ordinary people would do.

Qi Yun slowly placed the small towel in his hand back on the dining table, “The food is delicious, you’ve learned to cook before?”

Xing Zhongwan leaned back in his chair. He didn’t deliberately learn to do it, and it was all for his mother. He and his mother depended on each other, so of course, he had to give her the best and make her the most comfortable. Who made him so smart that he could pick up everything quickly.

“Are you complimenting me?” Xing Zhongwan raised his brows and looked at Qi Yun’s expressionless face. Qi Yun nodded unexpectedly

The tease that Xing Zhongwan wanted to make suddenly couldn’t come out of his lips.

“I’ll carry you upstairs, you sat for too long today.”

Xing Zhongwan squatted down in front of Qi Yun. With a pair of thin hands around his shoulders, Xing Zhongwan carried the person on his back and walked steadily.

Xing Zhongwan’s hair touched Qi Yun’s nose and a scent of pine wood lingered in his nose.

“You still have sensation in your legs. It’s not hopeless if you want to stand up. Do you want to try rehabilitation or find a doctor you trust to make a diagnosis?”

Xing Zhongwan carried Qi Yun on his back to the second floor. In fact, this idea wasn’t just one that was hanging in the air. Even if Qi Yun’s legs could not be restored to how they were before, it was good enough if he could stand.

The man on his back did not respond for a long time, and Xing Zhongwan won’t say any more if the other was unwilling.

When he arrived in the room on the third floor, Xing Zhongwan put Qi Yun on the bed and covered the quilt. The handrail guards of the toilet have been installed. Xing Zhongwan went in and looked around and was very satisfied.

When he walked to Qi Yun’s bed, he found his face facing him.

“You have something to say?”

Qi Yun’s Adam’s apple moved, “Do you want me to stand up?”

Xing Zhongwan was asked this. The question was a bit weird, did it matter if I wished it or not? Xing Zhongwan, who had long forgotten his own teasing of others, looked at him puzzledly.

Xing Zhongwan was silent and Qi Yun was a little uncomfortable. Don’t look away. I will realize your wish and let you become the honorable young madam Qi…

Chapter 13 – So you have a reason to stay.

Chapter 13 – So you have a reason to stay.

Since being paralyzed in bed, Qi Yun hasn’t been able to sleep at ease for even a night. But for some reason, he was able to fall into a deep sleep today. The shallow breathing of Xing Zhongwan who was sleeping on the ground made Qi Yun feel inexplicably relieved. If it were a few years earlier, he would not be able to get accustomed to being in the same room with others. Not to mention falling asleep, he would be uncomfortable even after a long time has passed.

Since he was paralyzed, he fell into complete silence. Most of the time, he would be alone, waiting for time to pass by in his dark world. Maybe it was because of the physical pain, Qi Yun sometimes thought that he would not make it on his own. Who knew God would send Wanwan to him.

Qi Yun has never seen such a careless woman who could sleep anywhere, but it is this attitude of hers that made Qi Yun feel relaxed.

This ease made Qi Yun fall asleep peacefully, and he had a long dream. In the dream, his grandma smiled and said to him, “That child is really likable, but he’s a boy, otherwise grandma will ask her to be your wife.”

In a blink of an eye, his dying grandma was grabbing his hands “Yun-er, the surname you bear is of great importance and you will have to endure hardship in the future. Your mother and grandfather are ruthless people. From now on, grandma can’t look after you. You must be very careful about everything. Grandma really hates herself, her body is not strong enough to help you look for a good match in matrimony. The Qi family is cold, it’s good if you can find someone close to you to be by your side.”

At his grandma’s funeral, his mother was crying until she almost fainted, and grandpa just took a single look and never came back again. Qi Yun coldly watched his mother’s act and never shed a single tear from the beginning to the end. The circle of relatives and friends said that he was ruthless, even after being brought up by his grandmother since he was a child, but he still didn’t shed a single tear.

In a blink of an eye, he was assigned to marry the only daughter of the Xing family at the age of 25. When he followed his grandfather to the door, he suddenly remembered the jokes between his grandma and him about the mother and son pair that were saved by his grandmother. He could no longer remember what the little boy looked like, but only remembered that he dumbly called him “big sister”.

After the Xing family agreed to divorce, his grandfather matched him up with the daughter of the Qiu family and the two people made a marriage contract after only seeing each other once.

He was sitting next to her on the day of the car accident. When Qi Yun was about to be hit by a truck from the side, Qi Yun wanted to turn the steering wheel but the woman by his side held on tightly to him. Her eyes were full of hate, “Qi Yun, someone like you should die!” When she finished talking, the large truck on the opposite side ran into the car head-on. The face of the woman in the passenger seat was instantly crushed and her blood was splashed onto Qi Yun’s face.

While he was in his trance, there was a voice calling him to wake him up… When Qi Yun woke up, the person beside him breathed out a sigh of relief. Qi Yun suddenly felt that the person beside him could be trusted, maybe he could bring him out of this darkness.

The next morning, Xing Zhongwan called a few workers to do some work in the bathroom. The old housekeeper looked at him coldly as though this unbearable Xing Zhongwan was about to demolish the house.

Xing Zhongwan poured a cup of coffee and smiled at the old housekeeper, “Old lady, take it easy. I’m just putting in a few rail guards, why are you so nervous?” The old housekeeper smiled and gritted her teeth, “You have no right to make changes to the house.”

Xing Zhongwan took a sip of coffee and he smiled at the housekeeper. “Then go ahead and take your complaints to Madam Qi.” The old housekeeper trembled angrily, turned around, and went downstairs.

Xing Zhongwan snorted coldly, went to the bathroom to take a look before going to check up on Qi Yun.

The person in bed has already woken up, “What are you letting them do?”

Xing Zhongwan said, “I’m allowing them to remodel the bathroom so that it is much more convenient for you to go by yourself. It’ll save the number of times I need to help you to get up and go to the washroom so it won’t look like I’m taking advantage of you.”

Actually, Xing Zhongwan felt that Qi Yun was somewhat reluctant to be brought to the bathroom by him. He would have to leave sooner or later and Qi Yun would have to rely on himself one day. It’s better to let him get used to this as soon as possible. “Today’s weather is really good. How about I take you out for a tour?”

Xing Zhongwan walked to the window and took a deep breath. This place was remote, but the air is really good. Qi Yun didn’t speak and Xing Zhongwan didn’t wait for him to answer. He walked to the bed and helped Qi Yun up. “Come on, cooperate with me. Put your hand on my shoulder, and I will carry you down.”

Qi Yun was stunned for a moment, carry him down…? A woman, carrying him down…?

Qi Yun didn’t feel too happy…

Xing Zhongwan didn’t think too much. “Hurry up, what are you doing?”

In the end, Xing Zhongwan still carried Qi Yun on his back. He walked carefully from the third floor to the first floor. Qi Yun was lying on Xing Zhongwan’s back with red ears. How could he let a girl carry him on his back? Even though Wanwan was much stronger than ordinary girls…

Xing Zhongwan dragged Qi Yun’s two soft legs and to be honest, carrying him on his back was much easier than dragging him to the bathroom. Qi Yun was tall and his bones were heavy.

On the first floor, The old housekeeper pushed a wheelchair over and didn’t look too happy. Xing Zhongwan put Qi Yun on the wheelchair and adjusted his waist. Putting a coat on him, he looked back at the old housekeeper. “Don’t worry, we’ll just be around the entrance of the garden. It’s not that far away.”

The old housekeeper didn’t even want to look at him, treating him as though he were invisible. The maids on the side all looked surprised. Unexpectedly, the third young master Qi who had been lying in bed for more than a year finally sat up and came out. This Miss Xing wasn’t some simpleton.

Xing Zhongwan pushed Qi Yun to the garden. Qi Yun was stunned by the incoming fresh air. There was the sound of birds chirping in his ears and the shouts of gardeners not far away. Qi Yun was a little confused as he grabbed the handles of the wheelchair.

“What do you think, it’s still better to be alive huh.”

Xing Zhongwan looked at Qi Yun’s profile. His skin that had not seen the sun in so long became translucent under the sunlight and the blood vessels inside could be vaguely seen.

He didn’t feel this in the room, but after coming out, it seemed that Qi Yun’s hair had not been cared for in a year, making him look like a savage. Xing Zhongwan rubbed his forehead with a headache, looking at it was unpleasant to the eye.

“Wait here, I’ll go into the house to get scissors to trim your hair.”

Xing Zhongwan said so, and he helped Qi Yun fix the wheelchair before going back to get the scissors. Qi Yun’s hand grabbed his sleeves immediately and Xing Zhongwan obliged. “I’ll be back in a while, right at this entrance. The old housekeeper should be watching from a distance. She won’t let anything happen to you.”

Qi Yun slowly let go and Xing Zhongwan suddenly felt that he looked like he was lost, like a puppy who was afraid of being abandoned.

In the past, if anyone were to mention that the third young master Qi would one day feel fear, it would definitely make others laugh their molars out.

Xing Zhongwan quickly ran into the house and asked the housekeeper for a pair of scissors and a comb. The old housekeeper refused to give it at first so Xing Zhongwan laughed angrily, “What good will come out of it if I harm him. Old lady, you look like a smart person, but can’t seem to judge the situation.”

After getting the scissors and comb, Xing Zhongwan jogged towards Qi Yun. Looking at him from a distance, Qi Yun’s thin back looked particularly lonely. Xing Zhongwan slowed down and approached Qi Yun carefully. Seeing him looking straight ahead with his empty eyes and his hands tightly holding the wheelchair handles. Xing Zhongwan just stood aside and didn’t speak. He wanted to see how Qi Yun would react. In fact, Xing Zhongwan still held a grudge from when Qi Yun threw his mother’s pastries into the trash. Qi Yun is indifferent and unkind. In the circle, one of the most prolific rumors was about how he never shed a single tear at Madam Qi’s funeral, the person who raised him since he was a child. He was just that cold.

Qi Yun grasped the wheelchair and his grip tightened. Although there were no expressions on his face, Xing Zhongwan knew that he was nervous. After being paralyzed for so long, Qi Yun finally had a human connection.

Xing Zhongwan swallowed his own disgust but he could not bully others or his mother would appear in his dreams tonight scolding him with bloody profanities.

Grasping Qi Yun’s hand, Xing Zhongwan said, “I’m back, let’s start cutting your hair.”

Qi Yun’s grip suddenly softened and he turned his head to face Xing Zhongwan’s direction. Xing Zhongwan opened his eyes wide, “What? You have something to say?” After he finished speaking, Xing Zhongwan froze. He lowered his head because his hand was held by Qi Yun, it was not strong but still held firmly.

“Stay here, don’t go!” The hoarse voice said very gently and Xing Zhongwan almost didn’t hear it.

“I didn’t say I was going to go.” At least I was not going to leave now, Xing Zhongwan added in his heart.

Qi Yun let go of his hand and recovered his calm. Xing Zhongwan placed a white frock around Qi Yun’s neck and the scissors and comb in his hand danced around neatly.

Qi Yun took in the faint pine wood fragrance and closed his eyes.

Young Madam Qi? Soon, I will make it as you wished!

The corners of Qi Yun’s mouth perked up a little. This way, you’ll have a reason to stay.

T/N: Owo, isit just me or did yall also get the chills after reading that last sentence? Chapter 12 – Why is your face so red!?

Chapter 12 – Why is your face so red!?

Xing Zhongwan woke up in the middle of the night. He stretched out his hand to the side and started feeling around, but he didn’t touch anything. His bewildered mind was sober in an instant. This was not in his room, Laozi is lying on the ground!

His throat was so dry that it was uncomfortable, so Xing Zhongwan simply got up and prepared to go downstairs to pour himself some water. Suddenly he heard a low muffled hum from the side. Xing Zhongwan got up and leaned forward, switching on the bedside lamp on one side. Qi Yun was sweating profusely under the dim light. He had his eyes closed, lips pressed so tightly together that they turned white. Xing Zhongwan gently pushed his shoulder, but he didn’t wake up. He was having a nightmare.

Xing Zhongwan grabbed his hand that was clutching the bed sheets tightly, “Qi Yun, wake up. Qi Yun, Qi Yun!”

Qi Yun opened his eyes sharply, panting heavily.

Xing Zhongwan breathed a sigh of relief, “You were trapped in a nightmare just now.”

Following Xing Zhongwan’s voice, Qi Yun turned his head and looked straight at him with unseeing eyes. Xing Zhongwan got up and wanted to get a towel to wipe him but Qi Yun grabbed his hand as soon as he tried to leave. There was still sticky sweat in Qi Yun’s palms as he held onto the back of his hand subtly.

“I’ll get a towel and I’ll be back in a bit,” Xing Zhongwan calmly pulled back his hand. Two grown men holding hands in the middle of the night felt strange.

Qi Yun kept looking at the direction where Xing Zhongwan set out, until he felt the person who had left come back. The warm towel wiped the sweat on his forehead and the feeling of being alive returned to Qi Yun little by little.

Xing Zhongwan’s hand was held by Qi Yun again. Xing Zhongwan looked at Qi Yun incomprehensibly, his cheeks trembling slightly. Qi Yun gritted his teeth, and he was nervous.

“You have something you want to say to me?” Xing Zhongwan stopped wiping, Qi Yun’s pale lips moved slightly, “Why did you stay here?”

In the quiet night, Qi Yun’s hoarse voice cut through the silence. Xing Zhongwan was taken aback for a moment. He threw the towel in his hand on the side of the table, and simply sat cross-legged on the ground with a frown, “You want to hear the truth?”

Qi Yun opened his eyes nonchalantly. Will anyone tell him the truth now? Or can he still trust people now?

Xing Zhongwan drew a handful of his own long-ish hair, “Look, you won’t believe anyone, so is my answer important?”

There was a long silence… Xing Zhongwan couldn’t help swallowing his saliva to moisturize his parched throat. In the middle of the night, these two big men were talking in riddles with each other. It was really pointless. Xing Zhongwan couldn’t help but yawn. After meeting Qi Yun, he didn’t get enough sleep every day. It was really terrible.

He gave up the idea of drinking water, intending to lie back down and continue to sleep. He didn’t expect Qi Yun to say, “I want to believe you.”

Xing Zhongwan’s eyes widened like he saw a ghost. Did I lack sleep and was now having auditory hallucinations?

Xing Zhongwan wasn’t getting enough sleep, yes, but his brain was not rusty yet. He couldn’t help but laugh. At first he held it in, but in the end, he couldn’t help but laugh louder and louder. Qi Yun frowned little by little, his voice was dissatisfied, “Is it so funny?”

Xing Zhongwan finally stopped laughing, “Qi Yun, why do you want to believe me? Have you seen me? Do you even know who I am? You just want to believe me. Has lying on the bed turned you stupid? What if my intentions are impure? Maybe I just want to gain your trust and favour to get something from you. Trust? I advise you that this kind of thing is what you need the least of right now. Don’t be harmed by this thing.”

Qi Yun didn’t speak for a long time, as if he was seriously considering Xing Zhongwan’s words. Xing Zhongwan wiped the tears from the corner of his eyes, laughing so exaggeratedly that tears came out.

Xing Zhongwan looked at the thin and shapeless man. It was a bit pitiful. But I don’t think I’ve said too much. I’m really not malicious towards Qi Yun. If he takes care of him, his mother can enter Xing’s ancestral grave. At the same time, he can also repay Mrs. Qi’s kindness to him and his mother. That’s all.

It can be said that Xing Zhongwan is selfish, but he also felt that it was unbearable to watch that beautiful sister of the past degenerate into what he is today.

Xing Zhongwan is not a saint, he will leave sooner or later, so it’s better not to have this kind of trust.

Qi Yun faced Xing Zhongwan’s direction, his eyes turned blankly. He could not see, it was pitch black, but he could only feel Xing Zhongwan’s breathing and body temperature.

“You are not that kind of person.” Qi Yun’s tone was very calm.

Xing Zhongwan was stunned, “You have only been with me for a few days, how do you know that I am not such a person?”

“If you are someone sent just to spy on me, then you just have to keep me alive like how they’ve been doing, instead of wasting your effort to take care of me. Taking care of a body like me is an arduous and thankless task, and you don’t have to act so diligently.”

“Besides, you don’t have anything you can gain from me. It’s unlikely what my mother wants will come through you from the Xing Family, no one trusts her. The reason why Xing Zhengping is willing to let the Xing family take care of me is to get some benefits from me in the end. He made some very good calculations. Xing Zhengping was reluctant to let his only daughter take care of my crippled self, but he will not find some random person to stand in as someone from the Xing family, so you must also have the Xing surname. There is only one daughter of Xing Zhongjie in the family, so you are either the daughter of a collateral or an illegitimate daughter. Xing Zhengping is not ballsy enough to threaten others. The Xing family is now gradually falling into disarray so the others won’t take him too seriously. If there was any interest involved and you are here for the money, you don’t have to do that much for my sake.”

Qi Yun’s neck was red again now and Xing Zhongwan doesn’t have to think too much to know that it must be time for him to go potty again.

Qi Yun snorted, “So what are you doing?”

Hearing Qi Yun’s words so concisely, Xing Zhongwan really wanted to applaud him, except for the fact that he didn’t know his gender, he didn’t get anything wrong.

“You didn’t tell the truth either. You obviously still have some feeling in your legs but you deceived everyone.”

Xing Zhongwan was a little tired. He bent down to lie on Qi Yun’s bed.

Qi Yun turned his head, the darkness in front of him was like his current state of mind.

At first, his legs did not feel any sensation, it was just that his mother and grandfather’s attitude made Qi Yun cold. After that, his legs slowly regained some feeling, but there were spies all around him. Not only Madam Qi’s people, but also many people who hid in the dark, wishing for him to die sooner. Qi Yun couldn’t let these people know that his legs felt some sensation as it would be easier for him to get by now that he was both crippled and blind. He needed to keep this a secret so that he could protect himself.

“My car crash was not an accident, someone wanted to harm me.”

Qi Yun’s voice was rough and awkward while saying that someone wanted to harm him but his tone was terrifyingly calm.

Xing Zhongwan thought to himself that he too didn’t want to think about Qi Yun’s previous style of doing things, one where he didn’t show any mercy or do things that were less dirty. This was naturally just karma.

It was clear that this person grew up to be even prettier than paintings, but his heart was harder than stone.

Xing Zhongwan did not reply to his statement, he was not interested in these things, and did not want to know too much. The less he knows, the easier it is to get out.

“So, what are you doing this for?”

Qi Yun seemed obsessed with asking this question. Xing Zhongwan became very playful and wanted to tease him.

“What am I doing this for? Of course, it is to marry you. Isn’t my current status your fiancee? Xing Zhengping promised me that if I take care of you, I will get the title of Young Madam Qi. So that’s why I came here.”

Xing Zhongwan said while holding back a laugh. He thought Qi Yun would refute a few words, such as saying that he wouldn’t want the daughter of the Xing family, or that the title of Young Madam Qi was now useless.

But the strange thing is that Qi Yun didn’t even refute it.

Xing Zhongwan waited for a while and leaned forward curiously and looked over.

It’s okay if you don’t look at it, Qi Yun’s neck and ears were a mess, and even his face was a little red.

Xing Zhongwan was startled, thinking Qi Yun was not feeling well, his hand was on his forehead, but it didn’t feel hot.

Xing Zhongwan was surprised, then why is your face so red!?

T/N: Insert ‘another one’ meme here.

Looks like Qi Yun’s getting a bit more self-conscious and shy around his waifie nowadays. What a good development hehe, yeah, you better watch out! If you scare your Wanwan too much, he might really run away owo! On to the next chapter!!

Chapter 11 – What Qi Yun will do in the future, what did it have to do with me?

Chapter 11 – What Qi Yun will do in the future, what did it have to do with me?

Xing Zhongwan felt that it is necessary to clarify that he was in fact a man

When he was about to speak, the phone rang. Xing Zhongwan was taken aback by this. Who the hell set such a frightening ringtone…

He walked to the door to answer the phone, only for Zhengzhe’s soft and charming voice to come out, which made Xing Zhongwan feel chills down his spine.

“Cheng Zhengzhe, will you get itchy all over if you don’t pretend to be a woman for one day. If there’s nothing, I will hang up. Nothing good has happened all day long!”

Cheng Zhengzhe laughed, “Once you hear this, you’re going to anxiously be begging for me to say more.”

Xing Zhongwan snorted coldly and wanted to hang up the phone.

“Hey, don’t hang up, don’t hang up! I really have some business to tell you about.”

Xing Zhongwan dug his ears impatiently, “If you don’t spit out this so-called ‘business’, just wait for your death then!”

Cheng Zhengzhe cut him off. “I’ve done a little investigation these days and discovered something very interesting.”

Xing Zhongwan switched his mobile phone to his other hand, “Spit it out! I’m fvcking tired!”

“Qi Yun was raised by his grandmother since he was a child. Did you know?”

Xing Zhongwan leaned against the wall and the kind-eyed grandmother flashed in his mind. How did such a kind old woman raise such an unfortunate child, third young master Qi!

Of course, Cheng Zhengzhe didn’t know that Xing Zhongwan and Madam Qi knew each other.

“The late Madam Qi was the only daughter of Haiyuan of the Shen family. Before marrying into the Qi family, she had a daughter with her ex-husband. This daughter stayed in the Shen family, which has Shen Qinghong as the head of the Shen family. Shen Qinghong is unmarried and has no children. But…Qi Yun was very much loved by Shen Qinghong when he was young. Lao Xing… Qi Yun doesn’t have any hidden trump cards left to play! The Haiyuan’s Shen family, that’s a door that only a few can open. If Madam Qi was still alive, taking into consideration her love for Qi Yun when she was still alive, it’s impossible that she would not leave him with a way out. Qi Yun’s father died long ago, and Shen Qinghong had no children. The only person who has the blood of the Shen family is Qi Yun.”

“I told you this to remind you not to stay too close to Qi Yun. Although this person is crippled, his brain is not bad. Third young master Qi is not a good person and his methods are cruel, and he offended a lot of people when he was in good health. Now that the walls are crumbling down, there isn’t a single person who wishes him well.

If he hadn’t been in a car accident, the Qi family would have belonged to him. Such a person can’t be taken lightly even if he is crippled. Lao Xing… you don’t like this circle, and you’ve stayed out of it for so many years. Don’t put yourself back in because of Qi Yun! It’s easy to get in, but it’s hard to get out!”

Cheng Zhengzhe was rarely serious. Xing Zhongwan leaned against the wall lazily. His entire body felt weak like it was without bones. “You think too much, I will leave after I settle the affair regarding my mother. As for Qi Yun, I’ll just leave it up to fate. I already thought it through. Don’t you think too much!”

“That’s good!” Zhengzhe breathed a sigh of relief, “After it’s finished, come back quickly. This one is still waiting for you to come back to preside over the overall situation.”

Xing Zhongwan hung up the phone, a pair of narrow and cold eyes looked straight at Qi Yun’s door, although he didn’t know why Qi Yun did not use this relationship, and instead enduring the humiliation and allowing these people to treat him so horribly. But Xing Zhongwan couldn’t not return the favor that Madam Qi gave his mother many years ago. What Qi Yun thought about Xing Zhongwan, he had no interest in knowing. He only wanted to make sure that Qi Yun lived more comfortably before he left so it could be regarded as repaying Madam Qi’s kindness from back then.

Xing Zhongwan stood up straight and exhaled. Forget it, there was no need to explain whether he was a man or a woman. They were just passerbys in each other’s lives. Qi Yun treated him like a woman, so he would act like a woman. It wasn’t as though he was his real fiancée, as if he’d really get married to him…

Going back to his room, he carefully laid out the bedding and put it next to Qi Yun’s bed. In a daze, Qi Yun laid on the bed and stared at the ceiling without a word. Xing Zhongwan ignored him, took his pajamas, and went to the bathroom to take a shower. There was the sound of water from the bathroom and Qi Yun turned his head slightly, looking towards the direction of the bathroom before quickly turning back after a pause.

Why was an unmarried girl taking a shower in a man’s room? Qi Yun frowned, but her attitude wasn’t like any ordinary girl’s. After all, this girl was physically able and could pour herself a drink and drag herself to the bathroom.

She was a bit fierce…

Qi Yun’s snow-white neck was flushed. He closed his eyes tightly and a thought suddenly flashed into his mind. He was a blind man, and his lower body is still paralyzed…

She really had nothing to worry about.

The blush on Qi Yun’s neck gradually faded, returning to its usual indifference.

The bathroom door opened, and Xing Zhongwan came out with his whole body emanating steam. He wiped his hair and yawned every now and then.

“You haven’t slept yet? Do you want to go to the bathroom? I’ll help you go.”

Xing Zhongwan thought Qi Yun wanted to go to the bathroom and threw the towel aside to help him up.

A faint pine wood scent rushed into the tip of his nose and Qi Yun stiffened, and let Xing Zhongwan supported himself. After entering the bathroom, Xing Zhongwan naturally pulled down Qi Yun’s loose pajamas. Qi Yun held Xing Zhongwan’s hand, and Xing Zhongwan froze for a while, “What is it? Um…Is it a number two? Let me help you sit down, I’ll support you.”

Qi Yun was stunned. He suddenly couldn’t understand this woman’s thought pathway. Before he could struggle to do it himself, the other had already come over and taken off his pants and rolled it down to his knees.

Xing Zhongwan bent over to support Qi Yun’s upper body and Qi Yun coughed awkwardly. Why were all his private matters that were supposed to be obscured, completely seen by this woman without any reservation at all.

Xing Zhongwan’s thoughts were not here at the moment. He looked at Qi Yun’s two thin and weak legs, and suddenly remembered how he looked when he came to Xing’s family to divorce.

With a straight silhouette, those pair of slender legs in western tuxedo’s black trousers looked very straight. He was born with a look that was envied as well as a coveted physique. Even the narcissist Xing Zhongwan back then had to admit that Qi Yun’s legs were really beautiful and made the mind of others wander. It’s just that now the two soft thighs didn’t look like they did in the past.

Xing Zhongwan sighed and Qi Yun became more and more embarrassed. Originally, he didn’t mean to go to the toilet. So he just sat on the toilet, but maybe because it was a conditioned reflex, he soon felt the need to go…

Qi Yun’s eyes turned slightly red, he didn’t want to do such a thing in front of Xing Zhongwan.

Maybe he noticed Qi Yun’s strange attitude, so Xing Zhongwan gave him a glance before he understood.

“Don’t hold it in, it’s not like there’s nothing I haven’t seen yet, if you still can’t poop it out, I’ll just hold my breath,” After that, Xing Zhongwan couldn’t help himself and also laughed. He found Qi Yun quite funny. As long as he teased him, his neck would be red, because his skin was white, his redness was particularly obvious.

Xing Zhongwan bent over and was very close to Qi Yun and his breath flicked over Qi Yun’s ears, which made him feel ticklish. The chuckle inexplicably relieved Qi Yun of his tension. The laughter was nice and casual and it was as if they had known each other for a long time, as if what he was doing was just a normal thing.

After Qi Yun was done, Xing Zhongwan pulled some toilet paper out and put it in Qi Yun’s hand, deliberately asking, “Are you going to do it yourself, or should I?”

Qi Yun’s neck was red again, and Xing Zhongwan thought it was funny. I used to look at you coldly and didn’t expect to become so casual with you.

“I’ll turn my head and won’t look at you. You hurry up, okay.”

Xing Zhongwan really turned his head and heard the sound of rustling behind him, his mouth couldn’t help but curve a little. Being crippled also had the benefits of being a cripple. Such a helpless third young master Qi is a bit cute.

He helped Qi Yun back on the bed. When he helped him into bed, he accidentally knocked Qi Yun’s leg to the corner of the bed and Qi Yun frowned slightly. Xing Zhongwan looked down again. It was quite a sharp corner. Knocking it like this would definitely hurt.

Thinking of this, Xing Zhongwan couldn’t help but raise his brows. It seemed that Qi Yun’s legs were not without feeling.

At night, Xing Zhongwan lay on the ground, staring at the ceiling.

He turned to Qi Yun’s bed. The person on the bed was breathing shallowly and seemed to be asleep. Xing Zhongwan put his chin on his side.

Haiyuan’s Shen family and Qi Yun’s accident. Shen Qinghong couldn’t just ignore him, nor would he have let Qi Yun suffer here. Something must have happened in the middle.

And Qi Yun still has feeling in his legs, it’s not as if there was no hope at all.

Xing Zhongwan snorted coldly, turned over and lay down, he had to take care of himself. Did he not see enough of the horrible things that occurred within the upper class circles?

What will Qi Yun do in the future? What does it have to do with him?

With a muffled hum, Qi Yun who was on the bed slowly opened his eyes and frowned little by little. Did he trouble her too much?

Qi Yun was caught off guard by the inexplicable panic growing inside him.

T/N: Yah Qi Yun, you better start to panic if you thinking about keeping your waifie >:)
