Chapter 4

On the way back, the heater in Ning Junyan’s car was still fully on.

The two of them didn’t speak much, and Chen Yuncheng had been giving Ning Junyan directions. After spending more than forty minutes, Ning Junyan parked his car at the roadside of Chen Yuncheng’s small kiosk.

Chen Yuncheng had no intention of inviting Ning Junyan to sit in his place, so he just said, “Thank you.”

Ning Junyan glanced at the tightly closed rolling shutter by the roadside, reached out and picked up the mobile phone in the car, and asked, “Phone number?”

Chen Yuncheng couldn’t help but glance at his cell phone and gave his mobile number. He then saw Ning Junyan calling him.

The phone rang twice and hung up.

Chen Yuncheng opened the car door and got out of the car. He stood in front of the car door, and said to Ning Junyan, “I’ll invite you to dinner next time when you have time.”

       Ning Junyan did not speak.

Chen Yuncheng then said, “Be careful on the road.” This meant to send off the guest. After he said that, he raised his hand and closed the car door, took a half step back, and waved at Ning Junyan who was in the car.

       Ning Junyan drove away.

Chen Yuncheng always had a feeling of being in a trance. He stood on the side of the road for a while, then squatted down and opened the door with the key, and got into his old kiosk that didn’t even have a signboard.

The weather was getting colder day by day.

Before going to bed, Chen Yuncheng boiled a pot of hot water and sat on the edge of the bed to heat his feet. He lazily fell on his back on the soft bed and reached for the phone that was thrown on the bed. He found that the screen still had the alert of the missed call from Ning Junyan.

He opened the caller ID, saved Ning Junyan’s number and name in the address book, and then put away the phone. He raised his hand and rubbed his face, sighed, and closed his eyes.

Ning Junyan later spent more than half an hour driving from Chen Yuncheng to his home.

When he opened the door, the room was pitch black. He reached out and turned on the light in the entrance hall, and only then did a pale yellow light illuminates the smaller half of the room.

This house was more than 130 square meters, which was actually a bit big for him to live alone. The decoration style of the whole house was very concise, the tones are also cold, and it seemed deserted all the time.

Ning Junyan put his coat on the armrest of the sofa and walked inside wearing slippers.

Although it was winter, he still opened the refrigerator and took out a bottle of mineral water, unscrewed the lid and drank a small half of the bottle, and then put the remaining half back.

After he took a shower, Ning Junyan sat topless on the edge of the bed in the well-heated bedroom, reaching for the phone on the bed.

The WeChat group that he joined because of work was flashing messages all the time, but most of the time had nothing to do with work.

He copied Chen Yuncheng’s phone number, clicked on WeChat to find the other party, and saw that Chen Yuncheng’s WeChat name was Strange City1mòshēng de chéng..

Ning Junyan’s WeChat name was only a simple “Ning”, and he added Chen Yuncheng WeChat. He then put the phone on the bedside table and reached out to turn off the lamp to sleep.

While Chen Yuncheng sat at the counter to wait for the kiosk to open the next, he opened WeChat on his mobile phone, only to find that Ning Junyan had added him as a friend. After he clicked agree, he saw Ning Junyan appear in his friend column but did not take the initiative to contact him. And Ning Junyan never looked for him again, as if he was just going through a procedure.

A few days later, Zhou Yan appeared on his own initiative.

His overall mental state was much better than last time. He was wearing a white shirt and a tie inside the black down jacket.

As soon as Chen Yuncheng saw him, he asked, “Have you found a new job?”

Zhou Yan nodded. He walked into the store, leaned against the counter, and asked Chen Yuncheng to bring him a pack of cigarettes.

Chen Yuncheng brought him a pack of ten yuan2$1.49 cigarettes, put them on the glass counter, and said, “It’s on me, but you should smoke less in the future.”

However, Zhou Yan raised his hand and pulled out his down jacket. He took out his wallet from the inner pocket, and took out twenty yuan3$2.98 and put it on the cigarette box, “How dare I let you treat me, today I’m here to invite you to dinner.”

Chen Yuncheng lowered his eyes, looked at the twenty yuan, and said, “Really?”

“I’m currently working as a salesman at a shop that sells used cars.”

The restaurant where Zhou Yan invited Chen Yuncheng to eat was a nearby chain store that did very good business. At dinner every day, the store was almost full, and the tables and chairs were placed outside, occupying the originally wide street.

The two of them were sitting on the side of the street. The wind was too cold in the winter. The boss covered both sides with transparent plastic sheets. With the constant tumbling heat from the bottom of the pot, the open-air environment was barely warm.

Chen Yuncheng put his chopsticks on the bowl, looked at the bamboo sticks inserted into the hotpot, leaned back in the chair, and asked Zhou Yan, “Is there enough money for the child’s treatment?”

Zhou Yan shook his head, “But there is always hope.” He looked rather relaxed.

Chen Yuncheng felt a little strange, “It’s so profitable to sell used cars now?”

Zhou Yan heard the question in his tone, reached out and grabbed a handful of cooked beef, and handed it to Chen Yuncheng, “The market is not bad now,” he said, “It’s true, Cheng ge.”

Chen Yuncheng took the beef and saw that Zhou Yan took out a work permit from his shirt pocket. It was a second-hand car sales permit.

Zhou Yan stuffed the work permit back.

Chen Yuncheng asked him, “You are not working with Zhang Wenyong, did you?”

       Zhou Yan asked strangely, “Why?”

Chen Yuncheng shook his head. He didn’t know what Zhang Wenyong was doing recently, but that day Long Zhanyu specially came to ask him about Zhang Wenyong, which made him feel vaguely uneasy.

The reason why this shop’s business was so good was that the food really tasted very good. Chen Yuncheng used chopsticks to put all the beef on the bamboo stick into the dipping plate, and then slowly picked it up and ate it.

The bottom of the pot in front of him was churning, and the red oil rolled over the pale red soup base, and a white mist with a spicy taste emerged.

Through the white mist, Chen Yuncheng said to Zhou Yan, “I met Ning Junyan.”

Zhou Yan was obviously stunned and asked, “Who?”

“Ning Junyan,” Chen Yuncheng repeated, he felt that Zhou Yan might not remember this person.

However, Zhou Yan put down his chopsticks, and the whole person looked dazed, “Is it really Ning Junyan?”

       Chen Yuncheng nodded.

Zhou Yan didn’t speak, as if he was instantly lost in memory.

And following this gap, Chen Yuncheng also subconsciously remembered the first time he saw Ning Junyan. At that time, Ning Junyan was actually ten years old. Although the clothes he was wearing were a little dirty, he could see that he looked good. He squatted quietly in the corner with a pale and dull expression on his face.

Chen Yuncheng was eight years old at the time, and e had not washed his hair for nearly half a month. He saw that his foster mother was finishing cooking and his foster father was not in the house, so he approached cautiously and called him, “Hello?”

       Ning Junyan did not speak.

Chen Yuncheng reached out and pushed Ning Junyan’s shoulder.

Ning Junyan still didn’t respond, didn’t even look at him.

Chen Yuncheng retracted his hand in disappointment, thinking that he was a fool.

“What is he doing now?” Zhou Yan suddenly spoke and interrupted Chen Yuncheng’s thoughts.

Chen Yuncheng leaned to the other side and said, “A doctor.”

Zhou Yan smiled when he heard the words, “I didn’t expect it.” He spoke to himself, and couldn’t help but add, “Actually, it’s normal, his family seems to be very rich, right? And we’re not from the same world in the first place.”

       Chen Yuncheng did not speak.

Zhou Yan paused for a while and said, “Actually, I think he is quite scary.”

Chen Yuncheng raised his eyes and looked at him.

Chapter 7

Chapter 7

The mechanisms rattled faintly and a series of time-keeping numbers were suddenly projected on the rusted steel walls.

Everyone knew that the event had officially started, and they all turned back their stares at Lu Jingning.

Lu Jingning looked innocent: “Why are they staring at me?”

Yu Qingcang and Jian Luan: “……”

Don’t you have any idea why they’re staring? Luckily, the dean has clearly stated that we’re not allowed to kill each other, or else you would have already offended everyone with the words you just suggested, and our whole group would have been attacked from the very beginning!

Wen Xingchen warned them from the side, “Everyone get ready. It’s about to start.”

Just as soon as the words were spoken, the pre-countdown officially ended.

Almost at the same time, the four mechs that had been standing there quietly suddenly raised their guns and began to fire indiscriminately into the field without warning.

The crowd: “!!!”

In the midst of the stirring cloud of dust, various curses burst forth from everywhere.

The new students obviously didn’t expect the school authorities to immediately take action at the drop of a hat, so they all ran around in a panic, and the entire scene was very chaotic for a while.

Soon there was a succession of people hit by the automatically fired bullets.

These mechs used the least damaging laser beams, which don’t cause lethal damage, but that didn’t mean that they are really just toys from an ancient battlefield. Getting hit was no fun.

Thus, in addition to the cursing and swearing, there was also a cacophony of screaming and wailing added, creating a distinctive noise in the background.

From time to time, mechanical arms reached out from the surrounding iron walls, skilfully clearing the field and eliminating candidates. With the mass attrition, the originally somewhat crowded field gradually emptied.

Lu Jingning and the others who stood a little further away from the mech at the beginning were given enough time to react. At this time, while moving deftly to dodge the beam of light, they still had the leisure to observe the situation around them.

There were certain elimination rules for this test and upon observation it was evident that those who were hit by the laser three times were considered to have failed and were forcibly sent out of the training ground by a robotic arm to be treated by the medical android outside.

Lu Jingning had finished gathering valid information and did not forget to keep an eye on the condition of his comrades.

It goes without saying, but Wen Xingchen looked as if the beams of light were deliberately avoiding him. They weren’t even close to touching him, even if he was not moving around too drastically, as he was able to completely dodge them entirely and very effectively just moving in very minute steps.

On Yu Qingcang’s side, although he was large, he was also definitely also a big, nimble man. He looked like he had not been to the disco recently, enthusiastically twisting his thick waist, while also gracefully dodging in a good way.

In comparison, the “less intelligent” Jian Luan struggled a lot.

Those rays were indeed on the slow side for Lu Jingning, so he moved calmly to Jian Luan’s heels and smiled very warmly and kindly, “Comrade-in-arms, need some help?”

Jian Luan was a little dazzled by the face in front of him. By this time a thin layer of sweat had already formed on his back, so he immediately nodded his head, “Yes!”

Yu Qingcang, who was also on edge, could not help but cast a sympathetic glance at him when he heard the words.

He was still too young to ask for help. He turned to Lu Jingning, who was not very human and never treated the Alpha as a fellow human being.

He was a savage!

Jian Luan felt Yu Qingcang’s excessively compassionate stare and couldn’t help but feel a little bewildered. However, he had absolutely no time to think about it, when the next second he suddenly felt her body lighten and was actually lifted up directly by the hook of his coat.

Jian Luan: “!!!”

No amount of exclamation marks floating in this naive person’s head could have stopped what was about to follow.

In the blink of an eye, he had been picked up by Lu Jingning like a chicken and flung in the air in a few circles, before being thrown out in a certain direction.

“F-ck?!”

Traversing through the air in a trajectory while perfectly dodging everything, he effectively avoided all the rays, and in some controlled bitterness, he only felt himself slamming heavily into a pile of something soft.

The next second, there was an eruption of wailing from beneath his body.

Jian Luan was a bit taken back. He then looked down and finally understood why he didn’t feel much pain when he landed in such a heroic manner. There was such a hefty lot of meat shields below him.

The freshmen he slammed into each bared their teeth and roared, “Who the hell are you? Get the f-ck up!”

Without waiting for Jian Luan to speak, Lu Jingning’s smiling voice had already come up from above, “Sorry, I accidentally crashed into someone. Let’s go, let’s go!”

Having said that, Jian Luan’s body was lightened and his whole body was completely lifted up again.

Jian Luan: “……”

The moment  Lu Jingning carried him away, the area was wiped with a new round of laser beams.

The men who were pinned to the ground had no time to get up and react, so they wailed and screamed, practically weeping at the sight of them.

Unfortunately, the rules were rules, and the few seniors controlling the mechs didn’t give them any chance to dodge, so they were cleared out of the game in the blink of an eye.

As for Lu Jingning, the instigator of the stumble, looked innocently, unconcerned.

He didn’t hit anyone, he was just saving his teammate. After all, with the scene being so chaotic, a few mishaps were inevitable, right?

Gradually, Jian Luan got used to the experience of being flung around like this, and slowly crossed his arms in front of him, colliding into this party and that party, not wanting to talk at all.

He would be blind if he could not see that Lu Jingning was using him as an anti-personnel weapon!

As for the shame of being tossed around by an Omega? It was not a concern in this chaotic situation.

Someone like Jian Luan, will not be able to escape or let go of the opportunity to become someone else’s cheeky weapon. If he had to rely on himself to dodge those rays, he would probably have been zapped into ashes a long time ago.

After all, if you’re afraid of pain, it will be better to be able to let your teammates carry you and win than anything else. A great man can bend and stretch, so he can endure all this!

Lu Jingning of course also realized the unconditional cooperation of the big-bodied brother on his hands, and appreciated it in his heart, smashing people back and forth even more without the burden of thought.

With him as a powerful “support”, batches of new students were kicked out one after another. The number of people in the field dropped dramatically, almost twice as fast as before.

A solid protective barrier then enveloped the podium and the rays were all blocked out.

The veins on the front of Dean Gui Liangzhe’s forehead, however, were pulsating wildly.

He had already spotted Lu Jingning’s little plan, but there was no way to rule this kind of collateral damage as a violation, so he couldn’t do anything halfway about this kind of little clever loophole.

The headmaster had greeted him in advance before, saying that they might have an interesting Omega coming to the Quadruple Faculty this year. Before, he couldn’t see what was so interesting about him at all.

He was clearly a thorn on his side that must be plucked out!

After glancing at the remaining time displayed on the iron wall, Gui Liangzhe made a judgement in his mind, picked up his communicator and gave a command in authoritative tone of voice: “K209, K332, perform a joint attack on that Omega.”

There was only one Omega in the room, so the target of the attack was obvious. However, when they heard such an order, the operators in the two mechs froze.

Although this test focused on the ability to respond in the midst of direct confrontation, the difficulty will clearly be different if the mode is changed from indiscriminate strafing to concentrated attacks.

They had long been familiar with the unconditional obedience of a soldier in military school, so although they were doubtful in their minds, they did not object and followed the command very decisively.

Lu Jingning didn’t notice at first, but after being subjected to several concentrated sweeps in quick succession, he also noticed that something was wrong.

He looked up at Gui Liangzhe on the podium and gave him a fierce glare, cursing in his heart, “F-ck, those who led the soldiers in war are really bad! They’re not just evaluating now. They’re targeting a single person!”

With two mechs suddenly turning fire, the tension in the rest of the area was instantly relieved, and the remaining freshmen in the field couldn’t help but look towards the area where the gunfire was exchanged, all with confused faces, obviously unaware of what was going on.

They only saw Lu Jingning carrying Jian Luan in one hand amidst an unbelievably dense crowd of laser beams, his figure excessively nimble.

In the midst of such an intense attack, he even showed a bit of a relaxed posture, turning around from time to time and sneering at the two mech controllers, “Yo seniors, you guys haven’t learned how to operate this mech for long, right? You can’t even hit a freshman like me, I don’t think you should go into battle, you’d be giving away heads!”

The faces of the two manipulators sank slightly, and the two men, who still held some compassion, now looked solemn and became more and more serious.

Jian Luan, who was being dragged along by him, had a shocked look on his face.

Brother, what good would it do you to anger them?

He could almost feel the searing heat of a laser beam brushing past his face, and his whole body felt a little less than good: “You… you be careful, don’t let them shoot me in the face. How will I find Omega after I scar my face!”

Lu Jingning glanced at him uninterestedly and said casually and perfunctorily, “What are you afraid of if you can’t find Omega? I’ll just pay you back.”

Jian Luan shook and blurted out, “I’ll be a bachelor for life, I don’t want you!”

Although he too had once indulged in such a blooming beauty, after getting in touch with Lu Jingning in depth, it made him see the truth deeply – although his exterior was good, one should cherish one’s own life.

Not to mention, this man is a madman. He was also the Omega that Wen Xingchen had taken a fancy to, so even if he lended him his courage, how would he dare?

When Lu Jingning heard him refuse so dryly, he raised her eyebrows in displeasure: “What’s wrong with me, what’s wrong with me?”

His bright eyes narrowed slightly for a few moments, and from the tone of his voice there was no need to doubt that if Jian Luan said even just one word wrong, he would be flung directly on top of the iron mech’s armor for a close encounter in the next second.

It was the first time that Jian Luan had ever been looked at by Omega and he felt like he was screaming at the top of his lungs, when suddenly a familiar voice came from his ears, “You two are having a nice chat.”

Jian Luan cried out with joy and looked bashfully towards Wen Xingchen, frantically hinting with his eyes: Save me! Save me! Save me now!

Wen Xingchen, however, acted if he had not received his signal, looking at Lu Jingning and raising his eyebrows slightly: “Are you tired of running yet? I have an idea, do you want to hear it?”

By this time their escape route was almost entirely covered in dense lasers. This did not give Lu Jingning any sense of urgency with the conversation at all as he moved at great speeds. After seeing Wen Xingchen, a masochist, run into the zone of fire out of his own volition, he was somewhat curious about the proposal that he had defiantly brought about, “Hmm? Tell me about it?”

Wen Xingchen’s eyes looked slightly sideways and the afterimage of the two mechs sweeping over followed not far behind. There was a hint of interest in his tone: “Dismantling the machine. You understand?”

When Jian Luan heard such words coldly, he looked towards his dear friend with a shocked expression.

What the hell is wrong with today, was there another crazy one here?!

And apparently, such a proposal was very much to the liking of Lu Jingning, the devil of trouble. Both of his eyes lit up slightly and it was even visible to the naked eye: “Of course, that’s great!”

Jian Luan: “!!!”

He felt as if he was one step away from a violent death on the spot.

Author’s Note: Jian Luan, what a miserable guy~▼v▼

T/N: Sigh, I love mechs and action-packed BL… And also absurdly strong MCs like Yuuji from JJK. It also helps if their personality is good like Lu Jingning hehe ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Chapter 66

When you often walk by the river, how can you not wet your shoes?

Li Zhenzi had an indulgent private life, and it was not the first time that he hooked up with a married woman. After all, one day he would be kick on the iron hotplate. When they first heard the news, not to mention Li Zhenran, even Li Jianglin was not surprised.

It was just that since Li Zhenzi ran an entertainment company and had a handsome appearance, he had already been targeted by various media. As soon as the incident broke out, it naturally spread all over the world and became the headlines of gossip news.

At this time, Li Zhenran took out his mobile phone and searched randomly, and saw the secretly photographed photos of Li Zhenzi and the actress kissing. The actress was currently well-known. She and her husband were famously loving couples before, and her husband’s background was not simple.

Li Jianglin clasped his hands on the table and sighed deeply.

Now, everyone was still unclear about Li Zhenzi’s situation. Li Zhenran said, “I’ll give him a call later.”

Li Jianglin was not looking good, and he said, “Let him solve his own affairs.”

First, he hooked up with his eldest brother’s fiancée, and then it was revealed that he had committed adultery with a married female star. No matter how much patience Li Jianglin had, he was about to run out with this son.

Li Zhenruo looked up at Li Zhenran, lowered his head and ate his dinner silently.

He really didn’t know if Li Zhentai was messing with Li Zhenzi, but if he saw Li Zhenzi, he could only send him the words: You deserve it!

There was also Li Zhentai, the more small moves he made, the easier it was for Li Jianglin to lose patience, let’s see how long he could stay proud!

Li Jianglin left the dining table without eating much. It seemed that his sons were making him very angry, so he went back to the study and closed the door.

Li Zhenruo went around the back of the building and jumped onto the windowsill. He looked into the study through the glass and saw Li Jianglin sitting on the reclining chair, doing nothing but staring at the ceiling in a daze.

There were three or four pictures hanging on the walls of the study, all of which are of Zhu Yun.

Li Jianglin locked himself in such an environment every day. No one knew what or who he was reminiscing.

Li Zhenruo suddenly wanted to know the truth about those years. He wondered if Li Jianglin, Zhao Yuqiong or Yuan Dong knew each other originally, so he adopted their child, and he never thought about telling the child the truth.

Could Yuan Dong also be dead?

But if that was the case, why was he kicked out of the house at that time? He was not his son, he knew it.

Li Zhenruo couldn’t help but raise a paw and press it to the window glass. From this angle, his paw seemed to be pressing Li Jianglin’s chest.

Suddenly, someone reached out and picked him up from the windowsill.

Li Zhenruo was taken aback and turned to look, only to find that it was Li Zhenran.

Li Jianglin seemed to have noticed it too and looked out the window from the study.

Li Zhenran pointed to the cat in his arms and showed it to Li Jianglin. He then carried Li Zhenruo and left while saying, “Follow me to find the third child.”

They sat in the car, Li Zhenruo changed into a human appearance but still remained silent. He raised one foot and stepped on the seat under him.

Li Zhenran glanced at him and asked, “What?”

Li Zhenruo said, “What’s the point of looking for Li Zhenzi? He should bear the consequences for his own sins.”

Li Zhenran smiled when he heard the words, “Even if Dad doesn’t care about him now, I still have to go see him.”

Li Zhenruo couldn’t help but glance at Li Zhenran, he suddenly felt that compared to his past self, Li Zhenran was actually really good to Li Zhenzi.

However, he couldn’t help but remember that because of the western project, Li Zhenran seemed to have a clear intention to win over Li Zhenzi.

In fact, this was completely understandable. If Li Zhenran were to compare Li Zhenzi and Li Zhentai, Li Zhenzi was the most deserving of their brothers in this family to be won over. First, he had no ambitions for Yunlin, and the other was that Li Zhenzi was in charge of an entertainment company as big as Yunyi. He had a lot of scoundrels friend outside, and the resources in his hand were very rich.

The random thoughts that suddenly broke into his head made Li Zhenruo stare at Li Zhenran for a while.

Li Zhenran reached out and touched his head and said, “What are you looking at?”

Li Zhenruo grabbed Li Zhenran’s hand, put it on his lips and kissed it. Since that time he ran away from home, Li Zhenran had been much gentler to him than before. Now he thought of what Li Zhenran said to him in the coffee shop from time to time, he thought Li Zhenran was probably frightened by him, afraid that he would run away again.

This kind of tenderness was probably a constant reminder that he loved him.

For Li Zhenruo, this was also very useful, so he grabbed Li Zhenran’s hand and kissed it again. He thought to himself that it seemed like a long time since Li Zhenran had thrown him out of bed, but Li Zhenran, who left him out of bed in the past, loved him too.

After all this time, Li Zhenruo could feel Li Zhenran’s feelings for him.

He saw that Li Zhenran was driving smoothly, but the direction was not toward Yu Bingwei as he thought. He couldn’t help but feel a little strange and asked Li Zhenran, “Where is Li Zhenzi?”

Li Zhenran said, “In the hotel.”

Li Zhenruo said strangely, “Not with Miss Yu?”

Li Zhenran glanced at him, “Do you want to see Miss Yu?”

Li Zhenruo was stunned for a moment, not understanding why Li Zhenran was inexplicably jealous, and said, “I don’t…”

“Really?” Li Zhenran said, “I thought you wanted to see her very much.”

In fact, he still had a little thought. After all, he hadn’t seen her for a long time, but Li Zhenruo didn’t want Li Zhenran to be jealous of Yu Bingwei at all, and only said, “I’m not interested in her.” After a while, he added, “I am not interested in all women.”

Li Zhenran didn’t say anything, just looked at him.

He quickly added, “I’m not interested in humans other than you.”

After this sentence, there was still no response from Li Zhenran.

After a while, Li Zhenruo suddenly turned around and said to Li Zhenran, “I’m not interested in cats all over the world! Is that enough?”

Li Zhenran finally responded, “That’s fine.”

When the car drove near the hotel, Li Zhenran found a reporter squatting beside him. He called Li Zhenzi while taking Li Zhenruo upstairs in the elevator together.

Finally, when they arrived at the suite Li Zhenzi was staying, the door was opened from the inside.

Li Zhenzi looked at them and seemed a little dissatisfied that Li Zhenran brought someone, but still said, “Come in.”

Li Zhenruo walked in behind Li Zhenran. He reached out and closed the door, and felt that the air in the whole room was a little stuffy.

Li Zhenzi looked more or less dishevelled. Although it had only been half a day since the photos were exposed by the Internet media, the pressure he bore was not to be underestimated.

He sat by the bed, Li Zhenzi lit a cigarette and asked Li Zhenran, “Do you want it?”

Li Zhenran shook his head and said, “No need.”

Li Zhenruo went to the window and opened it, trying to dispel the smell of smoke in the room.

Li Zhenzi looked at his back and asked Li Zhenran, “You still have this kid with you? Not afraid of Dad’s thunderous wrath?”

Li Zhenran pulled out the chair in front of the dressing cabinet and sat down, and said to Li Zhenzi, “I can afford it, but it looks like you can’t afford it anymore.”

“fvck!” Li Zhenzi couldn’t hold back the swear word, “Someone is shadowing me.”

Li Zhenran didn’t ask him why, but Li Zhenruo turned to look at him from the window.

Li Zhenzi said, “My house is very secluded, and I am very careful when entering and leaving. Those people rented a high-rise house on the opposite side and secretly photographed the inside of the house with a high-power camera. If they hadn’t been tipped off, I believe no one would have known about it. “

Li Zhenruo couldn’t help saying at this time, “You slept with someone else’s wife.”

Li Zhenzi looked at him and seemed a little unhappy, but he still explained, “Her husband is not a good thing. Do you think they are really in love? If they are really in love, she will not come out and fool around with another man.”

Li Zhenran said at this time, “The husband of that Miss Zhang, whose name is You Bo, don’t you know what he does?”

Li Zhenzi took a puff of cigarette irritably, “Doing import and export business.”

Li Zhenran leaned forward slightly, “Not only that, his background is not very clean, I asked someone to check it for me, you should be careful these days.”

Li Zhenzi’s face became even worse.

Li Zhenran said, “If you are caught by a reporter, you will scratch your skin at most. You should be more careful about whether You Bo will do anything.”

Li Zhenzi snuffed out the cigarette and threw it heavily on the ground. He swore emotionally, and said, “I must know who is behind me.”

After he said this, he was suddenly stunned. He seemed to be sorting out in his head who had a deep hatred with him, starting with the people around him, and then he raised his head to look at Li Zhenran.

Li Zhenruo stood by the window and clearly saw the two brothers staring at each other for a moment. Li Zhenruo always felt that everyone had the name in their mouths and didn’t say it.

But Li Zhenruo couldn’t help mocking Li Zhenzi, “If you don’t sleep with other people’s wives, who will catch you in the act?”

Li Zhenzi snorted coldly when he heard the words, “If you don’t seduce my second brother, do you think Dad will hand over all the business to the eldest?”

Li Zhenruo didn’t refute angrily, but just said with a laugh, “Would you like to try to persuade him to leave me?”

At this time Li Zhenran said, “You two, stop arguing, it’s pointless.” After he said that, he extended his hand to Li Zhenruo, “Come here.”

Li Zhenruo looked at him for a while but went over to hold his hand and was pulled by Li Zhenran and sat on his lap.

Li Zhenran pinched Li Zhenruo’s chin and said in his ear, “Don’t say the word ‘leave’ to me.”

Li Zhenruo raised his head, facing Li Zhenzi’s direction, and saw Li Zhenzi turn his eyes away in disgust.

He suddenly couldn’t help but ask, “Where’s Miss Yu?”

Li Zhenran’s hand pinched his lower jaw even harder, and Li Zhenruo almost cried out in pain.

Li Zhenzi responded strangely, “You said Yu Bingwei? We broke up.”

Li Zhenruo didn’t care about the pain, and while reaching out to grab Li Zhenran’s hand, he asked, “Break up? Why?”

Li Zhenzi looked a little frustrated, “She took the initiative to break up with me.”

Chapter 37 – Prenatal education

Chapter 37 – Prenatal education

Jian Luo was now more comfortable with his situation, so if something happens, he will not be afraid. But now there is a problem in front of him he has to figure out first.

“Mom.” Jian Luo thought about it for a long time before asking, “As far as you can remember, is there any difference in my body… compared to before?”

Su Liang was taken aback: “There’s a difference?”

It seems that his hint was not working.

He had to find out if he actually transmigrated with his own body.

“Yes. When I was in a coma, did my body change after I came back?” Jian Luo said quickly, “For instance, there is something different from before, like a different mark or something.”

Su Liang froze, looking at Jian Luo in disbelief.

Jian Luo was flustered by the look in her eyes, so he said stubbornly, “I don’t mean anything by that. I was just asking.”

Su Liang lowered his eyes: “Luoluo, why are you suddenly bringing this up?”

“I…” Jian Luo racked his brain: “I think from that day onwards, my body feels a little wrong, so I wanted to ask you. You are my mother, so you must be more familiar with it.”

The two looked at each other.

There was a moment of silence in the air.

Half a second later

Su Liang sighed softly: “If you want to talk about what’s changed, there are indeed a few.”

Jian Luo asked her thoroughly: “What is it…”

“You didn’t have that birthmark on the front of your neck.” Su Liang thought for a while and then said, “You also used to like walking with your toes pointed inwards, but now you’ve changed.”

It was as he expected.

Mothers sure do know a lot more in detail.

It seems like he should still be in his real body.

Jian Luo pursed his lips and said with difficulty: “Mom…”

“You’ve had an accident.” Su Liang was able to find more explanations than him: “It’s okay, whether it’s a problem or a small deal, just live a good life now.”

Jian Luo internally sighed, and he took Su Liang’s hands: “Mom, about my secret, on brother’s side…”

Su Liang understands: “Don’t worry about it. He lives on campus, so let’s hide it for the time being, or else I’ll have to think about it. Although there will come a day where we won’t be able to hide it.”

Jian Luo sighed: “That’s the only way.”

He still remembered that his younger brother said that he would become a soldier later, but his older brother slept with the military chief, which was supposed to be a good thing, but now that the matter has passed, it is useless to mention it anymore. After thinking about it, Jian Luo went back to his room. It is summer now and Peace Paradise is different from Sky City. It was on the ground, so there were a lot of mosquitoes.

Jian Luo peeled a plate of holy dragon fruit, lay down on the sofa, and checked some information while eating.

Suddenly, he received a message from Lu Shifeng: “What are you having for dinner?”

“Holy Dragon Fruit.” Jian Luo replied, “You don’t have to worry about my lack of food, I specialize in cooking.”

Lu Shifeng frowned: “You’re just eating that?”

Jian Luo didn’t know whether to laugh or cry: “The holy dragon fruit is quite nutritious, and, Marshal, do you dislike the fruit from the Dragon Valley so much?”

Lu Shifeng didn’t reply.

Jian Luo simply closed the dialog box. The toy he picked up during the day was a little rabbit. It was cute and was like a small pillow, so he simply took it and held it in his arms.

“The composition of the nutrient solution…” Jian Luo quickly read the message: “Could it be caused by the nutrient solution?”

The lightbrain said: “Nutrient solution is a universal high-nutrient liquid in the universe. Humans also take it.”

Oh yeah.

But humans are not facing infertility.

Jian Luo tapped his chin: “I’m afraid this is a bit difficult to solve.”

Thinking about it, there was a mosquito lying on Jian Luo’s shoulder, sucking his blood happily. Jian Luo slapped it without looking at it.

“Slap!”

The mosquito went silent.

Jian Luo sighed slowly: “Wherever I go, I can’t seem to evade you.”

After muttering, a video request was sent to him. Jian Luo’s hand shook, he panicked and pressed to answer the call.

Lu Shifeng’s face appeared on the screen

.

Jian Luo exhaled: “Why did you call me so suddenly?”

“Suddenly?” Lu Shifeng sat on the chair, resting his chin with one hand. There was a sneer in the corner of his mouth: “It seems that you didn’t read the message I sent you at all.”

Well, I closed it early.

Jian Luo coughed lightly: “What’s the matter?”

Lu Shifeng looked at his hand and frowned: “What’s in your hand?”

“Huh?” Jian Luo looked for the paper, wiped it lightly, and explained, “It’s just a mosquito, I just got bitten.”

From the video communication, he could clearly see Jian Luo’s upper body, and his pale shoulders were red, which must be caused by the mosquitoes.

Lu Shifeng frowned slightly: “There are mosquitoes in your house?”

Jian Luo wiped his hands clean and responded casually and confidently, “It’s summer now, isn’t it very common to have mosquitoes?”

He is used to living here, because it is almost impossible for Sky city to have mosquitoes. It is built mid-air. So not to mention mosquitoes, there are not even birds.

Lu Shifeng tapped the table with his fingertips: “Come here in two days.”

“…Do you have to move there?” Jian Luo wanted to struggle a little more: “It’s pretty good here, didn’t you say that the dragon cubs are very strong, and it can’t be hurt by a little trouble at all? Not to mention a bit of blood sucked by mosquitoes.”

Lu Shifeng said in a low voice, “If you move here, you can apply for a Dark Star household registration.”

Jian Luo’s face changed within a second and his attitude was good: “I’ll pack my luggage for every day.”

Lu Shifeng looked at Jian Luo with his eyelids low. He took a few glances and thought he was a bit interesting. If nothing else, he really likes Jian Luo. He knows about current affairs, has an edge above others and has a small temper, but when he sees something, he has no ambiguity in the matter.

This kind of person was an excellent choice, whether as a subordinate or a…

Jian Luo yawned: “I’m going to sleep.”

“En.” Lu Shifeng told him, “I’ll ask Secretary Jin to pick you up after work.”

Jian Luo responded casually: “Okay.”

Ever since he became pregnant, he has been particularly fond of sleeping. He didn’t seem to have done anything, but somehow he felt sleepy and tired.

Lu Shifeng watched him without turning off the video, as if waiting for Jian Luo to ask something.

Jian Luo just asked, “Aren’t you sleepy?”

Lu Shifeng was silent for a while: “Just go to sleep.”

“Okay!”

The next day.

The weather was sunny and Jian Luo, who didn’t sleep very well, woke up before dawn. He should have been in bed until 7 o’clock, which is when he went to work. It is now only 5 o’clock, but he is no longer sleepy.

Jian Luo resigned himself from the bed and decided to start a live broadcast and make his own rice crackers.

It was not yet bright outside, and the rice was steaming in the pot with a pre-set timer. When Jian Luo opened the pot, he could smell the fresh aroma of rice.

“Fragrant.”

The small ball for the live broadcast was placed under the cabinet. He bent down and took it out, adjusting the position of the small ball, and once again started to broadcast without any prior notice.

‌Early in the morning, when the live broadcast room first opened, there were only a few people:

“Anchor, I miss you!”

“It’s been a long time, I almost quit.”

“You are too much!”

“If you don’t livestream, we can’t buy what you make.”

Jian Luo once changed the products on the live broadcast room to be available for purchase within a time limit while viewing him online, so many customers who want to buy his products can only wait day and night for the anchor to start the broadcast.

Speaking of other anchors, they all start their broadcast on time every day, but Jian Luo is different. He did not do so on time every day, so it depended on luck whether one could enter his live broadcast room or not.

“Good morning to those at home, have you had breakfast?” Jian Luo waved to the live broadcast room: “Isn’t it right, I’ve kept you waiting for a long time. Today we are going to eat rice crackers.”

The number of people in the live broadcast room slowly increased:

“What’s a rice cracker?”

“Is it a firecracker?”

“No, can a human stomach swallow a firecracker?”

Jian Luo almost died of laughter when he saw the barrage. He didn’t know whether to laugh or cry: “We’re not eating firecrackers, it’s rice crackers, um… In short, it’s a kind of rice, I’ll make it now.”

He shoveled the rice out of the pot, took some flour from the counter and went to the refrigerator to look for eggs. Last time, he bought a lot of ingredients, because he had looked around and found that there was only one egg left, and it was not enough. Fortunately, he was fine now and could use it.

“The rice should be mixed with the flour.” Jian Luo poured the wheat flour into it: “The amount of flour is also important, and this is enough.”

The people in the barrage felt dissatisfied:

“Waste of rice.”

“Anchor, why do you always make weird dishes?”

“Don’t talk, just watch.”

There were a lot of discussions in the barrage, but Jian Luo focused on cooking. His hands were slender and clean. After washing it, he began to add water. He stretched out his hands and began to knead the dough: “Wheat flour is supposed to complement this dish. If you are very particular, friends, remember to wear gloves.”

His hands were kneading the dough flexibly. When Jian Luo lowered his head, his face was clear and fair. With a clear voice: “It’s good to knead it into a ball.”

The sensory sharing for the live broadcast room opened and other viewers could naturally feel the sticky and greasy dough, which was very unbearable:

“I don’t eat these kinds of things.”

“It doesn’t look like it tastes good.”

“Forget it, I’m not watching.”

Jian Luo ignored them and continued to knead the dough. He was very hungry after working now, so he had already taken something out and put it aside to eat it for breakfast.

This morning, he was having the latest breakfast cake from Moonlight. It was only a little sweet and not particularly delicious, but it relieved his hunger. Jian Luo’s hands were busy, so he liked to lean down and take a piece using his mouth to chew slowly. It was quite hard.

The audience naturally noticed:

“What cake is this?”

“It looks delicious.”

“The taste is only a little sweet, but the anchor seems to be very hungry. When I am hungry, the food tastes more delicious, which makes me think it is delicious.”

“Asking for the link from the anchor!”

After taking a bite of the cake, Jian Luo looked back at the screen, and was surprised by a whole page worth of “send the link”.

“That.” Jian Luo explained dumbfoundedly: “I was not the one who sold this.”

The audiences asked where he bought it:

“It must be cheap, since humans can eat it.”

“I’ll buy two boxes.”

“I will go to the place and reluctantly try one.”

Jian Luo smiled, but he was not annoyed: “It’s Moonlight’s new product. Those who want to eat it have to buy it themselves. It’s still on the menu now.”

There was a moment of silence between the barrages.

There was no one who did not know where the Moonlight was. Even if you only drank a glass of water, it will set you back by four-digits.

Soon, some good people went to Baidu’s official website to check the price of this cake and got the shock of their lives:

“Friends, this cake was newly released yesterday!”

“It was still on pre-sale yesterday.”

“The anchor ate it today!”

Jian Luo didn’t watch the barrage, his crackers were about ready to get into the pot: “Let’s cut these doughs into about 30 grams each. Cut them into small pieces, or if you’re someone who likes to eat them as is, just press it with your hands.”

While talking, Jian Luo also used his fingers to give an example.

The oil in the pot was ready, so he moved a little further away before he poured all the cut parts of the dough down.

“Sizzle…”

The heat and splashing of the oil made others nervous. Jian Luo took the spatula and stirred it up: “It will be ready in a while.”

The audience in the barrage has already begun to analyze:

“I don’t know if you have noticed, but the place where the anchor broadcasts has changed twice.”

“Yes, twice!”

“Has anyone saved a screenshot?”

The audience began to guess randomly, and even guessed which cook Jian Luo had an affair with. Originally, everyone’s attention lingered here, but suddenly, an aroma came through.

The aroma of fried food was always piping hot and fiery, and it hit one’s stomach directly, like an unstoppable and open seduction.

Jian Luo smelled the greasiness and his stomach felt a little uncomfortable, but this feeling was fleeting and it was soon over. It seemed that small dragons were a little sensitive, so he coughed lightly: “It’s going to be ready to take out of the pot soon. Do you want me to put it on the online shop?”

When he finished his sentence, who can control the moonlight on the barrage:

“Suddenly, the barbecued meat in my mouth is not tasty anymore.”

“Put it on the shelf! I want to order it from the shelf!”

“This damn firecracker looks delicious as it is.”

Jian Luo didn’t know whether to laugh or cry: “It’s rice cracker.”

If one ate too much fried food, they will get tired, so Jian Luo has always limited the purchase amount. Some things are more fragrant if you can’t have them.

The rice cracker in the pot has already been completely fried.

The fragrance is overflowing, Jian Luo fished it out with a spoon, waited for it to cool, took a bite, it was crunchy and fragrant, the taste buds on the tip of the tongue seemed to be bathed in an extreme enjoyment, and the mouth would chew it repeatedly when chewing. This aroma, just one sip, is intoxicating.

The people in the barrage were almost going crazy:

“It smells good.”

“Don’t limit the purchase of rice crackers.”

“Wait, how did this thing come about, ah ah ah, it’s all your fault, I don’t remember it at all.”

“Don’t worry, there is a replay.”

“What’s the use of playback? My eyes say I understand, but my hands don’t.”

Jian Luo ate a few more before stopping. This kind of rice cracker is supposed to be an appetizer. It can’t make one full. If one eats too much, it’s like potato chips, it’s easy to get tired of it.

“I’ve put the flavour for testing on the shelves.” Jian Luo looked at the barrage: “Does anyone want to eat it? The postage is very expensive.”

The audience said they were not afraid of expensive things.

Jian Luo was shocked by their enthusiasm, so he had to say, “Well, then, shall I pick someone from today’s viewer list?”

The audience was shocked:

“Anchor, please wait.”

“Yes, yes, I’m going to top up some money and come back right away.”

“Anchor, you got my attention.”

As a result, early in the morning in Jinjiang, there was an inexplicable increase in the wave of top-ups, and many people fought hard to appear at the top of the lottery list.

One of the more important points Jian Luo mentionned was that he was only going to draw names from the gift list in order to attract people to donate money. Did that also mean that even if they donated just a little, they could also stand a chance at being chosen?

At this time, even people who had no money rushed to donate a few dollars:

“Wait, why can’t I enter the recharge page?”

“I’ve been spinning in circles, too.”

“It prompted me to a refresh failed page.”

“Why is Jinjiang so laggy?”

Early in the morning, before Jiang Jiang went to work, the server started ringing. It crashed when a streamer wanted to draw a lottery.

Jiang Jiang: “……”

I’m screwed.

No one was satisfied about the chaotic lottery draw. Jian Luo finally chose a person, asked the other party for their address and planned to mail it when he went to work today.

As soon as he went out, there was a car parked outside.

The driver was a soldier. He said, “Hello, Mr. Jian Luo. I’m in charge of escorting you today.”

Jian Luo was shy: “Why are you serving me?”

“It’s only natural,” the driver said. “I’ll do whatever you ask me to do.”

Jian Luo got into the car and asked, “Then can you help me send something? Or you can just drop me off after you send me to the post office, and I’ll go by myself.”

How could the driver let him go by himself? He quickly said: “It’s all right, just give it to me, I’ll help you!”

This object of the marshal’s must be something important to be mailed.

This is undoubtedly out of trust in him. There was no doubt that high hopes had been placed on him.

With a smile on his face, Jian Luo handed over the rice that he packed long ago: “Well, this is it. It’s to be sent to my fans. Sorry for your troubles.”

“…”

At the seed cultivation base.

It is estimated that the chili peppers should have broken soil today. Jian Luo wandered in early in the morning and saw Wang Heng squatting on the ground like he had not woken up, which was very scary.

Jian Luo raised his voice: “Why are you squatting there!”

Wang Heng was shocked and jumped up like a thief, annoyed: “Aren’t you the one walking silently? You shocked me.”

Jian Luo ignored him: “What are you doing sneaking around?”

“What can I do?” Wang Heng glanced at the ground: “Well, your peppers have sprouted.”

!!!

Jian Luo didn’t care about him anymore. He trotted over and squatted by the dirt, looking at the small sprouts, with a smile on his face: “It’s time to adjust the temperature.”

Wang Heng was finally convinced: “I read the information that this thing is red and shriveled. It should have no edible value. Why did you have to cultivate this first?”

“What do you know?” Jian Luo said while adjusting the temperature: “It does have no edible value, but without it, everything with edible value will be tasteless.”

Wang Heng really didn’t understand.

Jian Luo explained more about the pepper: “It will become more critical now. I’ll go get some fertilizer.”

The seed cultivation base is very large, and it was also used by many different departments. For example, Jian Luo’s group cultivated the seeds of human beings. It didn’t receive a lot of attention, but the other groups are also just relatively good. Just spill, with what kind of new planting seeds are being cultivated, how powerful can the chili peppers be?

When Jian Luo went to get the fertilizer, he was greeted with cold eyes: “What fertilizer does this vegetable need? Isn’t it all planted in nutrient water? You have to put it in the soil so it can survive?”

“I’m tired of the nutrient water and I want to change its environment.” Jian Luo smiled: “It’s already sprouted after all.”

Jian Luo started fertilizing the plant. Wang Heng’s cabbage from before was rejuvenated by his wonderful hand, and because Wang Heng was proven wrong, he didn’t stay in the shed and went to study.

Fertilizing was an easy job.

After all, Jian Luo only had a few seedlings to take care of.

After finishing his work, he was basically free, but he received a private message from Kazuki as soon as he came back. She asked, “Did you advertise for Moonlight?”

Jian Luo was stunned: “I didn’t.”

“What’s the matter? As soon as they opened this morning, the traffic of customers was twice as much as usual, and they only ordered a cake.” Kazuki explained, perplexed: “They said they all saw it from Jinjiang. An anchor ate it so they came over.”

When Jian Luo thought about it, he didn’t know whether to laugh or cry: “Well, that’s really my fault then.”

Kazuki smiled and said: “I didn’t blame you. I mean, you are really amazing. I finally understand why the boss was willing to support you.”

“…”

Girl, pay attention to your words.

Jian Luo replied seriously: “It’s true that I work for the boss, but I didn’t work for nothing. I wasn’t really supported.”

Kazuki smiled and said, “I understand, I understand. By the way, the boss asked me to pick you up for lunch today.”

Jian Luo thought about the table of meat, and also how Nie Yan always rambled on. Feeling a headache, he said: “I won’t go, I’ll bring my own food.”

Kazuki was stunned: “Really?”

God, she was so amused to hear the boss being rejected. Thinking that their boss was the richest man in the world. Just how many men and women wanted to be the boss’s wife?

Jian Luo simply said, “Really.”

Kazuki said with a smile: “Okay, I’ll tell the boss in a bit.”

The conversation between the two was almost over, so Jian Luo closed the communication panel, cleared up his thoughts and prepared to think about what to eat for lunch.

As he was thinking about it, a figure appeared outside. Jian Luo recognized this person, he had seen him several times.

Jian Luo smiled: “It’s you.”

Zhan Wentai nodded. The priest’s white robes seemed out of place. He said, “I wanted to talk to you.”

???

Jian Luo asked, “What do you want to talk about?”

“This is not the place to talk.” Zhan Wentai reached out to him: “I’ll take you somewhere else.”

Jian Luo grabbed his hand and stood up with some strength: “But if I leave my post without permission, it will not be good, let me tell the higher-ups first?”

“No.” Zhan Wentai said in a low voice, “I already told them.”

All right.

Jian Luo followed him. The seed cultivating base was not far from the temple on the priest’s side. The more he walked, the closer he was to the temple, which made him a little nervous.

Jian Luo was uneasy: “Well…what are you going to do?”

Zhan Wentai noticed his nervousness: “Don’t worry, it’s just a chat. I won’t do anything to you.”

“…”

I’m more worried now.

There were people coming and going, stopping to greet Zhan Wentai respectfully when they saw him:

“Hello, great priest.”

“Greetings, priest, your greatness.”

“Greeting the great priest.”

The more Jian Luo listened, the more wrong he felt. Originally, he felt that there were so many priests here, and the one in front of him should also be an ordinary member, but who knew that all these people here suddenly added the word “great” when addressing him?

“That.” Jian Luo secretly poked: “I want to ask, is your name Zhan Wentai?”

Zhan Wentai nodded.

“…Then you have something to do involving me?”

This turned out to be the legendary Zhan Wentai who was influential, was also a cool leader who knew astronomy and geography? Shouldn’t he have been an old man with a long, white beard?

Zhan Wentai said calmly: “I have discussed with Your Majesty, since the cubs you are carrying will be the first case of birth in thousands of years, in order to allow the child to grow up healthy and strong, I…”

Jian Luo: “What?”

“I want to give you prenatal education about the child.” Zhan Wentai’s tone couldn’t help but contain some caution: “You can relax, only I can give the child the best education.”

(Vol.2) Chapter 5 – The Xing Family

Chapter 5 – The Xing Family

Xing Zhongwan subconsciously shrunk inside his own mind and most of his consciousness was stuck inside. Sure enough, even though Qi Yun had already recovered, he still looked like he was going to die if anyone got close to him. With him at the center, no strangers would be able to come near him.

Xing Zhongwan took a closer look to see that Qi Yun’s leg was still a little lame and it seemed that he had not fully recovered. That cold face was icy cold and Xing Zhongwan was worried that the people who followed him would freeze to death. His entire body was still thin. He didn’t know if it was an illusion, but judging from his face, it seems that he became even thinner than when he first left two years ago.

Xing Zhongwan smiled. He was very busy, after all. It took him two years to climb to his current position and it would be impossible to do so without putting in the effort.

Xing Zhongwan was far away from him. The distance between him and Qi Yun in the huge banquet hall was just a diagonal line and it was a good thing that his eyesight was not too good. Xing Zhongwan took out his mobile phone and sent a message to Zhong Gang.

Zhong Gang was taking Emma to meet with other people. He was the one responsible for Qingyuan Capital. He has held the title of being the person in charge for many years and there were many people who wanted to curry favor with him. She was sent to him today with a smile on her face. He looked at the assistant who just started reporting to him today. She was a shrewd, strong, and very beautiful Caucasian beauty…

Was she really a foreigner? Who the hell was she to be able to speak much better Chinese than him? However… This person, who was recommended to him by the boss, was really good… Emma’s ability to learn was very strong… Seems like he’ll be able to go back to the head office to pursue Zhengzhe…

Just as he was thinking, his phone began shaking in his pocket. Zhong Gang took it out and glanced at it before frowning slightly. He was just about to tell Emma that they should go until a young man suddenly stopped in front of him, “Hello, Dong Zhong from Qingyuan Capital. I’m Shen Congxin.”

Zhong Gang looked at the handsome man in front of him who was much shorter than him. Shen Congxin? The little vice president of the Shen family?

Zhong Gang straightened his body that he had just turned around because he was about to leave. With a smile on his face, he greeted him, “Hello, Vice President Shen.”

Qi Yun’s appearance caused a commotion and many girls hid to look at him quietly. His appearance made many people jealous and stunned stupid. As the head of the Qi family and the Shen family, just one of those titles was enough to attract people. What’s more was, since he recovered from his illness, Qi Zongcheng used all his resources to support him. It can be said that he will soon rise to the top. Some people even said that in a few years, Qi Yun will likely participate in the general election as well. The women didn’t give much thought to these things. They were looking at taking the position of young madam Qi. After all, Qi Yun, who was in his thirties, was not married yet.

There are countless people who openly or secretly agreed with his current position. It was just unfortunate that Qi Yun had no elders. The public was told that his mother was recuperating in a sanatorium. There was no one who didn’t know that Guan Yang went crazy. Qi Zongcheng was now paralyzed on the bed and couldn’t take care of the business anymore. As for the Shen family… Let’s not mention them anymore. Qi Yun was the only one left from there. There were also people who relied on Shen Congxin to pass on a few good words about them to Qi Yun, but they don’t know that this little deputy played dumb, always saying, “I already have a cousin-in-law already, don’t ask again.”

If you want to start from the inside of the Shen family, Shen Qinghong’s confidant may be able to speak in front of Qi Yun back then. But now, the Shen family is even more impregnable, so if you ask, they will tell you that the position of our Shen family’s young madam is something you can’t afford to covet and to stop dreaming.

In fact, they all know that there is already someone in Young Master Yun’s heart. They have always had a young madam, but the young madam ran away and Young Master Yun had been looking for him for two years. It is estimated that he will not be able to find him in this life and that he will die alone.

Everyone was thinking about it. Qi Yun was right in front of them, but no one dared to go up and talk to him. Originally, he was not easy to approach. But now that he was healthy, he was even colder. Just a glance at him would make one’s back go cold. Becoming young madam Qi was not an easy thing to do. They really didn’t have the courage to even talk to him.

Deputy Director Chen of the Shen family was Shen Qinghong’s confidant during her lifetime. Seeing that Qi Yun had come, he leaned over cautiously, “You’ve arrived?”

Qi Yun was a little lacking in interest, so he raised his eyes and nodded slightly. The other was so stunned that his forehead started sweating.

After so many years, he has really lived his life lying down with his belly facing up like a dog. Every time he saw Qi Yun, the first thing he felt was fear. He would even become the servant of his son.

“Thank you for coming today.”

The secretary beside him handed him a glass of warm water, “I wouldn’t have to come here if you pulled Shen Congxin up earlier.”

There was some sadness in Deputy Director Chen’s heart. You think I don’t want to? It’s hard to pull that stinky boy up too. Qi Yun swept his eyes and saw that Shen Congxin was talking to a tall man not far away. His excited expression was very rare. Looking back, he happened to meet the woman who was looking at him. The woman blushed but did not avoid his gaze. Qi Yun looked at her eyes with no emotion and indifference. The woman’s red face gradually turned white, before her eyes finally turned red fast. She looked away and walked quickly towards a middle-aged lady. When the lady looked back, she saw that her daughter was so pale that she was about to cry. She was shocked and asked, “What’s wrong?”

“He’s scary, mother. Let’s go.”

The lady was frightened by the expression on her own daughter’s face. What’s the matter, you haven’t even met him, but were frightened to this extent?!

Xing Zhongwan sat in the corner and saw it all clearly. Looking at the girl with this kind of expression, he predicted that the girl will have a nightmare when she goes back. Xing Zhongwan looked at his phone. What happened to Zhong Gang?  Xing Zhongwan couldn’t sit still and wanted to leave before he came back. Qi Yun’s eyes drifted over here several times and several people have already noticed him so staying here like this is not the way to go.

Xing Zhongwan took out his mobile phone and sent a message to Zhong Gang, “I’ll go to the airport first. I’m leaving Emma to you. See you later.”

After sending the message, Xing Zhongwan got up and prepared to leave.

Qi Yun also planned to leave. He only came here today to show his face and he didn’t want to stay any longer after showing the Shen family some courtesy. The secretary behind him handed him his phone. Qi Yun took a look. Shen Congxin secretly sent him a message at some point, asking him to come over to support him. Qi Yun frowned and was very upset. He really didn’t know how Shen Qinghong fell in love with him back then? Without any enthusiasm at all, Qi Yun got up and looked at Shen Congxin who was beckoning at him. He wanted to turn around and walk away, but after thinking about it, he changed his direction and began walking towards them.

Xing Zhongwan never thought that Qi Yun would walk towards him, but he was already walking towards the middle. It would be too obvious to turn around now. Someone just happened to pass by him and Xing Zhongwan and Qi Yun passed by each other. At the moment when their shoulders passed, Xing Zhongwan exhaled and walked straight to the door without looking back. Qi Yun’s steps suddenly stopped. It was a familiar smell! Suddenly turning his head, there were countless figures and faces behind him, but the scent of the pine wood became clearer and clearer in his mind. Qi Yun’s cold and white face became more solemn as he pushed aside the entourage behind him and walked out quickly. Shen Congxin waved at the back of Qi Yun who was leaving resolutely. What happened to his big cousin who turned around suddenly when he was almost here?

“I’m sorry. It seems that our chairman has something to do. I can’t introduce you to him today. I’m very sorry.” Shen Congxin kept a smile on his face, and Zhong Gang smiled indifferently, “It’s okay, it’s my honor to meet Mr. Qi. If I don’t get to meet him this time, there will always be a chance next time.”

Zhong Gang’s words were only said as a courtesy. He had wanted to know Qi Yun for a long time, but unfortunately it was difficult to meet him. It’s a pity he wasn’t able to see you today.

Xing Zhongwan came out of the door and stopped a taxi. He watched Qi Yun come out of the door in a panic, as if looking for someone. Was he recognized? That’s impossible! It must’ve been the smell on his body. He had sprayed his cologne today, which was really a misstep. Xing Zhongwan ordered the driver to drive away as he inadvertently saw Qi Yun panicking on the other side. If he guessed correctly, he was shaking. Xing Zhongwan stopped looking at him as he laid back on the chair, “Please drive to the airport.”

“Big cousin, what are you looking for?” Shen Congxin came after hearing the news. He had not seen Qi Yun so complacent for a long time.

“Wanwan was here. There was his smell, he’s back.”

Qi Yun supported his aching leg. He would never forget that smell. Who was it? Where did they come from? Qi Yun’s eyes were red and he looked a little crazy. Shen Congxin saw him and knew something was wrong, “Don’t worry, I’ll look for him.”

Qi Yun suddenly remembered something, “Give me today’s guest list, hurry up!”

Qi Yun looked at the list in his hand name-by-name and Shen Congxin couldn’t bear to see his focused look, “Big cousin, you must be mistaken. Almost everyone in the banquet hall used perfume. With so many fragrances all together, how can you recognize it? If you smelled something, you must’ve been hallucinating because you thought too much.”

Qi Yun ignored him. He was not wrong, he wouldn’t remember the smell of Wanwan wrongly.

Shen Congxin was lying on the desk helplessly as his elder cousin went crazy again. In fact, it was not that he never thought about finding clues from the perfume field before, but there were thousands of pine fragrance perfumes on the market. Shen Congxin didn’t know how many domestic and foreign manufacturers they had seen, but Qi Yun had rejected them. Later, a person in the industry told him that it may be a customized product that was not available in the market. Shen Congxin also investigated this lead, but there was still no clue at all, so he gave up on this, but he didn’t expect…

Shen Congxin still wanted to persuade him as it was already midnight. Will Qi Yun want to stay up all night again?

The phone on the desk rang, but Qi Yun didn’t answer. After a while, the secretary knocked on the door and came in,

“The house in Jiangnan was donated.”

Qi Yun’s hand stopped turning the list over as he slowly raised his head, his eyes solemn.

“What did you say?”

Most of the old objects in the Xing family’s old house in Jiangnan were still there, but a few musical instruments and costumes in Xing Zhongwan’s yard were now gone. Qi Yun stared blankly at the empty old house. At this time, he was finally sure that Wanwan had really come back. It’s just that the news came to him too late. The old man’s death and burial were quietly hidden from everyone. It was also him who had appeared at the banquet. Maybe this was how they were meant to be, just passing by each other.

Thinking of this, Qi Yun felt a pain in his heart that had not been turbulent for a long time. The pain suddenly made him find support on the pillar next to him. Why didn’t he recognize him?

The moment the question came up, Qi Yun laughed, and the bitterness and sadness poured into his chest. He was so determined to leave, so how could he have recognized him? He was in such a rush to hide.

Qi Yun’s secretary held a transfer document and a check.

“Master likes this house very much, so I hope the curator can give up his love.” The curator looked at the amount on the check and asked in disbelief, “This is too much.”

“This house is priceless in the master’s heart. The money was donated by the master, and it can be regarded as the support of the Shen family for the protection of cultural relics.”

The curator was stunned for a moment and he was a little uncertain, “The Shen family, is it the one from Haiyuan?”

“Exactly.” The curator gasped. After breathing again, he could only accept the check.

There was something missing from the canopy bed and Qi Yun noticed it at a glance. The doll was gone. The secretary came in and handed a mobile phone to Qi Yun. Shen Congxin spoke cautiously on the other end of the phone, “Big cousin, I checked everything according to what you said. I checked the guest list and the entry and exit status of the past few days, none of the identities match the right person.”

Qi Yun’s face sank quite a bit, “How about last night’s entry and exit records?”

Shen Congxin took a deep breath, “This is what I wanted to say, big cousin. I can’t find anything. We do not have enough authority. I also called the Foreign Affairs Office, and they replied that we did not have enough authority.”

Still not enough authority! Qi Yun silently hung up the phone and sat down on the canopy bed a little dejectedly.

Shen Qinghong’s words before his death once again left him at a loss.

“If you want to get him back, your current position is not enough. You have to continue to climb up.”

“The Xing family’s influence overseas is not that simple. If he wants to hide from you, it will be easy.”

Qi Yun punched the shelf.

When he returned to Qi’s house that year, Qi Zongcheng vomited blood on the spot when he saw the stack of materials, as he pointed at him and scolded him three times. Qi Yun was unmoved. Qi Zongcheng asked him what he wanted. The Qi family was so tormented by him, did he come back to threaten them now?

Qi Yun replied very calmly, “I can only get what I want by climbing up.”

And what he wanted has always only been Wanwan.

Qi Yun didn’t want to talk about the hardships of the past two years. The closer he got, the more unbelievable it was. How could it be so difficult to find a person?

He didn’t even know which country he was in. The person in charge of the foreign affairs department secretly told him that they had applied for foreign affairs protection. When they had this kind of authority, generally, the identity of such a person did not even need to be seen by the director of the department to be qualified, so he advised him not to investigate further.

Qi Yun said at the time, “What level do you have to be to check this? The chief speaker? The director of foreign affairs? Or the chief secretary of the country?”

“You’re crazy for telling me this. If you let others hear it, it’ll be too incredulous. You are too popular, climbing up so high in just two years. There are many who are jealous of you. Do you know what will happen if they catch wind of this?”

“If I have to climb up till that position. No matter if it takes five years, I will even try it for ten years. “

Qi Yun didn’t say this as a joke. He’s already made up his mind. The person in charge of the foreign affairs department was much older than Qi Yun and he received the favor of Mrs. Qi in his early years, so he sincerely regarded him as a junior.

“If you want to walk this path, you should know better than me how many bloody storms there will be in the future. Whatever Mrs. Qi had seen, it will be more than that… Hey, just forget it. To be of your status is already not a simple person.”

Qi Yun didn’t answer. The firmness in his eyes explained everything. The person in charge of the foreign affairs department joked, “It’s not a blood feud, is it?”

Qi Yun glanced at him with a complex expression and melancholy eyes, “It’s me who wronged him. “

Xue Qing came to pick up Xing Zhongwan and when she saw his expression, she knew something was wrong.

“What’s wrong?” Is it because I messed with you?”

Xing Zhongwan opened the car door, “I don’t want to talk to you now.”

Xue Qing was shocked, “I have performed well recently and I have done nothing wrong.”

Xing Zhongwan closed his eyes and didn’t want to talk to her. Xue Qing thought for a second, “It wasn’t because you met Qi Yun at the banquet that you were in such a hurry to come back, was it?”

Xing Zhongwan said nothing, but the expression on his face said everything. Xue Qing patted his thigh, “What a coincidence! Fortunately, I applied for foreign affairs protection before you left the country, so he won’t be able to find out about your identity.”

After catching the flight overnight, the ten-hour trip made him feel like he was going to die.

“I know I was wrong. I won’t make you go to any banquet next time. I was wrong, don’t be angry.” Xue Qing looked at him carefully.

Xing Zhongwan took a deep breath. Seeing Qi Yun again confirmed his thoughts back then. That Qi Yun was really suitable for turning the clouds all over the world. This was what he should have been like.

Xing Zhongwan wiped his face, “I won’t be leaving for a while, what’s the next plan?”

Xue Qing blinked. She knew that she should not mention Qi Yunagain and quickly changed the subject, “There’s someone who’s been wanting to ask you out for a meal for a long time.”

Xing Zhongwan leaned back in the chair lazily, “Little Aisha… Auntie…”

The Xing family was an immigrant in the early years and their preedcessors were very good at doing business. It was unknown which generation married a royal princess. It was almost impossible for a princess to marry a chinese person at that time, but it really happened and it was said to be a sensation. Therefore, Xing Yanyin’s blood was a bit mixed and his appearance was extremely handsome. In this instance, Xing Zhongwan looked like Xing Yanyin a 100%. Xing Zhongwan didn’t like to wear sunglasses to pretend to be cool. It was because his eye colour was a little different from ordinary people’s.

How closely related were the royal family to Xing Zhongwan, he didn’t know, but they were quite close. In addition, the Xing family has always been closely entangled with the royal family. As they have been in countless wealth for many years, the Xing family’s local status is quite high.

Xing Zhongwan was also shocked when he came to take over the Xing family’s business. Just what did his grandfather leave him? The pressure was too great…

This little Aunt Aisha, Xing Zhongwan doesn’t know how she was related to him or how she became his senior, but he doesn’t want to be entangled. He called her his aunt in name only, because she was actually five years younger than him. She was seriously still a little princess.

And every time she wanted to see him, there was only one reason. To set him up on a blind date.

Chapter 36 – Be good and follow the marshal

Chapter 36 – Be good and follow the marshal

Jian Luo finished counting and came to a conclusion: “There were probably three.”

Lu Shifeng sneered: “That little?”

After hearing that tone, Jian Luo felt the need to look up. When he looked up, he saw that Marshal Lu was looking at him with a half-hearted smile. Although he was not angry or murderous, he still made Jian Luo feel like a threatened small animal.

Crap.

Did he rub salt into a wound?

After thinking about it, how could a serious man like Lu Shifeng have someone adequate for him as his match? He probably did not rub salt on his wound, right?

Thinking of this, Jian Luo hurriedly changed his words: “It’s a lot. I think it is enough.”

Lu Shifeng narrowed his eyes: “Three is enough?”

Those were some threatening words.

Jian Luo felt stressed, so he bit the bullet and said, “But in the end we all broke up.”

Lu Shifeng glanced at him and Jian Luo hurriedly lowered his head to eat the cloud fruit, pretending that nothing happened, in an attempt to get this over with.

“Why?”

Lu Shifeng felt that it was necessary to explore the inside life of his junior.

Jian Luo didn’t expect the marshal to be quite gossipy, but it was nothing so he said bluntly, “Because of my family situation.”

His family was from the countryside, but after that, he secretly broadcast live to make money, so he delayed his studies.

Jian Luo’s appearance is not bad. His cooking was also not bad, and his temperament was good too, so he is naturally quite popular, but no matter who it was, once they knew his poor family’s origins, who would be willing to be with him and settle down?

After one or two times, Jian Luo himself figured out that sweet love cannot change his situation at all, so the most important thing was to make money.

Lu Shifeng’s voice went lower: “Did you date dark stars?”

“Huh?” Jian Luo was stunned for a moment, before nodding foolishly: “Forget it, you also know the conditions of my family. It’s like that. It can’t be changed.”

Lu Shifeng gave him a deep look.

Jian Luo still lowered his head and continued to eat the cloud fruit with a handsome face full of satisfaction and all his concentration on his food. There was no other expression on his face. Inexplicably, Marshal Lu felt that he should say something.

“If you can’t change others, you can change yourself.” Lu Shifeng led him to a bustling street in the shopping mall: “When you can rise beyond your family status, you will not be restrained by it.”

Jian Luo smiled: “People’s discrimination against other races can’t be changed no matter how good you are. For example, Marshal, if it were between you and me, don’t you mind?”

He only asked half-jokingly.

He didn’t expect an answer.

A child ran past them playfully in the mall, almost bumping into Jian Luo. Lu Shifeng quickly pulled him by his side.

The cloud fruit in Jian Luo’s hand fell.

As the snow-white cloud fruit fell to the ground, a robot not far away came over to clean it up automatically and then left on its own.

Jian Luo sighed, “What a pity.”

Lu Shifeng pulled him away: “I will buy another one for you.”

“No need.” Jian Luo stretched his waist: “It’s good to just have a bite. It tastes like cotton candy, not bad.”

Lu Shifeng didn’t ask what cotton candy was.

The two quickly went to a clothing store. Jian Luo didn’t plan to go in, but Lu Shifeng led him in.

There was a dazzling array of clothes in the store and clothes for all ages and styles. The dark stars were generally tall and big, so the size of their clothes were also similar. The dark stars also had another strange quirk, they liked red. The color purple mades the clothes in the store more striking to the eyes.

The server greeted him: “Hello, welcome.”

Lu Shifeng said, “He is going to choose.”

“I’m choosing?” Jian Luo and Lu Shifeng looked at each other. He sighed after confirming that the man wasn’t joking, “Okay.”

He turned around and his eyes fell on a suit.

The colors available for this suit were plain black or white. The black one was bigger and looked upright and serious, while the white one was much plainer. However, because it was a small size, it was almost just right.

Jian Luo pointed to the white: “I want to try that one.”

The server was slightly surprised and repeatedly confirmed, “Are you sure you want that one?”

“I can’t?”

“It’s not like that…” The server smiled awkwardly: “That pair of clothes should be a parent-child outfit.”

The atmosphere fell silent.

He felt offended.

Not far away, the lazy marshal’s mouth curled into a smile: “The parent-child outfit is good, let him try it.”

The corner of Jian Luo’s mouth twitched.

The server obediently walked over and took off the white suit and handed it to Jian Luo: “Go to the fitting room and try it on.”

Jian Luo responded: “Okay.”

She quickly came back wearing a new white suit. The small shirt was small and fitted him. The fabric was comfortable. Jian Luo smiled with his red lips and white teeth. He looked younger. After wearing it, he seemed to have lost several years.

“It’s very beautiful.” The server complimented him beside him: “You wear it well.”

Jian Luo also thought it was quite fitting, so he asked, “How much is this?”

The server said with difficulty: “Because it is a set, we can’t sell it separately. If you want to order one, you may have to buy them both together.”

Jian Luo nodded and understood, he said, “How much are the two together?”

“It’s not expensive.” The server smiled: “The total price of this set is 160,000 star dollars. Do you want to swipe your card?”

“…”

Jian Luo said in a deep voice, “Does your white suit come in purple?”

The server nodded her head: “Yes.”

“How about green?”

“We have it.”

“Are there any multi-colored ones?”

“No.”

Jian Luo was satisfied: “I just want to buy multi-colored ones. Since you don’t have them, it’s a pity. Let’s talk about it next time.”

“…”

While Lu Shifeng was handling his own official business, he listened to Jian Luo’s silly remarks not far away. The man lifted his eyelids and said to the server, “This set, wrap it up.”

Server: “Okay!”

Jian Luo was stunned. He trotted over and whispered into Lu Shifeng’s ear: “Forget it, it’s too expensive, I know a place that is cheaper.”

Lu Shifeng put away the information screen in front of him: “No need, we’re getting this.”

“…”

How capricious.

Jian Luo felt stuffy. Seeing that the man in the strict military uniform suddenly had another idea, he smiled slyly: “Hey, did you hear? She said that it was a parent-child outfit just now.”

Lu Shifeng looked at him sideways: “I will have to buy the small dragons clothes at some point.”

“I don’t mean that!” Jian Luo felt that he had to be straight with him: “I mean, why don’t you try the black one?”

Lu Shifeng refused: “Do you think I might need a suit for some occasion?”

It seemed to make sense.

The marshal won’t need to wear casual clothes.

But Jian Luo still wanted to try a little harder: “Then, if you don’t need it, why did you come shopping with me now? Just change up your style, you’ll look friendlier.”

Lu Shifeng narrowed his eyes: “I don’t look friendly?”

“…”

What a tricky situation

The enemy will cry if they heard this. Secretary Jin would be silent.

Jian Luo bit the bullet, ignoring his conscience: “Kind, you definitely look kind, I mean. But you will look more kind. If you don’t like it, forget it. I can’t wear it anyway, I’ll give it to someone else next time.”

He meant to give it to Jiang Jiang, or to Wang Heng?

Unexpectedly, after Lu Shifeng listened, his breathing became even more tense. The man sneered: “To whom, your boss, or to that old phoenix?”

Jian Luo was taken aback: “Who?”

There was an unknown bitter scent in the air.

Lu Shifeng stood up and walked in front of the server. Even though he only walked normally, he held the same pressure he used to go into battle and kill the enemy. The server shivered, “D-do you need anything else? “

“The black one.” Lu Shifeng pointed, “Give it to me.”

The server quickly handed it over.

After Lu Shifeng took it, he turned around and entered the fitting room. The marshal has appeared in various places for so many years. But none of them was without his usual military uniform.

But how powerful was this little human being? After only a few words, the marshal went to change his clothes.

Jian Luo sat in a chair and waited for some response.

After a while, the curtain was opened and Lu Shifeng walked out. The marshal changed his old-fashioned military uniform and wore a black long-sleeved sweater, which looked very fashionable. He was usually lazy and complacent. Now that his usual and stereotypical military uniform was gone, they both felt somewhat closer.

Jian Luo’s adam’s apple bobbed up and down: “So handsome.”

Lu Shifeng put his general outfit in his storage bracelet and walked in front of Jian Luo: “Are we closer now?”

“…”

It can’t be that all this time you were after this!

Jian Luo took a second look at the beautiful sight and swallowed: “Close, very close.”

There were other clothes in the store that had not been tried on. The server could now see who the one holding the gold was, so she said to Jian Luo: “Do you want to try other styles? It will suit you very well.”

Standing in front of the chairs, the two people in parent-child suits, one tall and one short, turned around at the same time.

Before Jian Luo could speak, he heard Lu Shifeng say, “For the suitable ones, send it to an address, directly to me. You don’t need to try it on.”

???

Jian Luo was shocked.

Lu Shifeng just looked down at him: “Let’s go.”

“…Oh.”

The two of them walked out. The mall is very lively. Many people came and went in pairs. Naturally, there were also many small games that attracted people’s attention.

When passing a stall, Jian Luo unconsciously stopped.

There were a lot of cute little toys hanging in the shed. Jian Luo stopped: “What is this?”

With one glance, the stall owner saw this gullible customer and said brightly: “Do you want to come and play?”

Jian Luo was very curious: “How do you play this?”

“It’s very simple, do you see the gun next to you?” The stall introduced brightly: “As long as you can hit all the balloons on the wall over there with your gun, you can choose a toy from us.”

Jian Luo had a hard time: “But I don’t need it.”

He naturally thought about this situation and explained: “Just take this to aim. Pull the trigger and you will be able to use it, it’s quite simple!”

“Really?” Jian Luo was moved, he looked at Lu Shifeng: “Let’s go play!”

Lu Shifeng casually said, “En.”

Marshal Lu was sitting on a chair not far away. His child in the parent-child suit happily took up a gun and aimed it at the balloons.

“Bang!”

A shot went off but the balloons did not pop.

Jian Luo was stunned. He felt that he had clearly aimed properly so how could it have missed. Not even once did it hit.

He thought of trying it again. Maybe it was just a coincidence.

Thinking of this, Jian Luo carefully picked up the gun. This time he was very focused when he aimed at the balloon. Calmly, after taking two breaths, he finally pulled the trigger.

“Bang!”

Another crisp gunshot rang out.

After everything calmed down, the balloon, which was still unharmed, was still properly hung on the wall, as if mocking Jian Luo silently.

Jian Luo pursed his lips and relentlessly fired a few more shots. After a while, there was no  more balloons as the time was over.

The stall owner shouted: “If you want to play, you have to pay more to renew the time.”

Jian Luo said quickly, “I don’t want to play anymore.”

“You can try again.” With a greedy smile on his face, he didn’t forget to say, “It’s good to try again, isn’t it?”

“…”

Forget it, I’m afraid it won’t work.

Jian Luo put the gun back, returned to Lu Shifeng’s side dejectedly, and sat down with a sigh like a depressed puppy.

Lu Shifeng looked at him from the side: “Don’t want to play anymore?”

“What is there to play?” Jian Luo pouted: “The balloons are too hard to hit.”

I don’t know if it was his imagination, but Lu Shifeng seemed to have a smile on his lips. He slowly thought about it, feeling that this was not a normal occurrence at all.

Jian Luo was depressed: “Let’s go.”

As soon as he finished speaking, the two dark stars not far away walked to the console, muttering something:

“Did you see that person just now?”

“He was so bad, I’m not too shy to say it.”

“It was so terrible that it’s shameful.”

Jian Luo looked over in disbelief. He was in a very depressed mood at first, but he never thought that she would be slapped by other people’s words.

Lu Shifeng originally had a smile on his face, but after listening to the conversation, his smile gradually cooled.

Jian Luo didn’t want to stay here anymore, so he said, “Well, why don’t we…”

Originally, Jian Luo wanted to persuade the marshal to leave, but who knew that Lu Shifeng stood up, went to the stall, paid the money, and walked directly to the console.

The two dark stars who were talking were picking the guns. One of them was a fat man. He looked at one of them and just as he was about to reach for it, it was taken by someone else first.

“Hey, you, didn’t you see that it was supposed to be my pick?”

The fat man was muttering, but as soon as he raised his head and met Lu Shifeng’s gaze, those extremely cold eyes, looking down from high up, seemed very oppressive.

“You, you…” The fat man stiffened: “M-Marshal?”

Lu Shifeng skillfully assembled the gun and responded lightly.

The fat man didn’t notice Lu Shifeng just now, so he stammered: “Do you want to play? You should go first.”

Lu Shifeng lifted the gun. The man’s posture was steady. He narrowed his eyes and looked at the balloon on the wall not far away. There was a long distance between them but he didn’t need to hesitate at all.

“Bang!”

Several gunshots cut through the air, attracting others to stop and watch.

No bullets missed and almost as long as the bullets were fired, all the balloons burst in response. The excellent results were astounding. Lu Shifeng put down his gun.

The fat man next to him complimented him: “You are too good.”

“Not at all.” Lu Shifeng’s mouth curled into a sneer: “I’m so bad. I’m not too shy to say it.”

As soon as these words were said, the fat man subconsciously looked not far away and saw Jian Luo sitting on a chair. His head buzzed on the spot. Jian Luo was not standing with Lu Shifeng just now. But after piercing it together, he didn’t think that they both knew each other!

Lu Shifeng said in a low voice, “What are you looking at?”

The cold sweat behind the fat man came, and compared to Lu Shifeng unless he was crazy, the man stammered: “Do, do you know him? What’s your relationship?”

You have to die to find out.

Lu Shifeng raised his eyebrows noncommittally and asked slowly, “Didn’t you see our matching clothes?”

???

P-parent and child?

The fat man looked at Lu Shifeng in disbelief and said cleverly, “Yes, I’m sorry.”

Lu Shifeng turned away without looking at him.

Jian Luo sat on the chair and waited. Seeing him coming back, he praised him familiarly: “You were so handsome just now!”

Lu Shifeng smiled and said nothing.

“But there’s no need for it.” Jian Luo sighed: “Even if you help me, he still thinks I’m bullying him. He doesn’t really know what he did wrong.”

Lu Shifeng’s footsteps stopped and the man looked at Jian Luo meaningfully.

Jian Luo was stunned. He hesitantly looked at Lu Shifeng and sighed: “Why, what’s wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?”

The corner of Lu Shifeng’s mouth twitched into a smile and the man said slowly, “The ability to bully others also comes with power.”

“…”

I thank you.

In the end, Jian Luo got his own little toy. He was not so naive. He just remembered when he was a child, his family was poor. When he picked up a toy on the roadside, after just having it for a while, it was snatched away.

He had a younger brother and sister at home.

His adoptive mother always said this one sentence: “What about your younger brother and sister, go to work!”

It was difficult for others to understand.

It may be impossible for one to completely forget their painful childhood.

In the evening.

Sitting in the car, Jian Luo said to Lu Shifeng, “I haven’t been home for several days. I want to go back and take a look. I didn’t know what happened to my mother after we were separated.”

Lu Shifeng said to him, “I asked her to come to Sky city but she doesn’t want to. She wants to live in the same place.”

Jian Luo was stunned.

Thinking about it, Su Liang may not feel safe there either.

“I want to go back and see her.” Jian Luo looked sideways at Lu Shifeng: “Can I?”

Lu Shifeng was easier to talk to than Jian Luo imagined. The man said, “Yes.”

???

How good.

Jian Luo laughed: “I thought you wanted to say no because you’re afraid that I’ll walk around and have a miscarriage or something.”

As soon as he finished speaking, the man gave him a cold glance.

Lu Shifeng said slowly: “Dragon cubs have strong physiques even in the embryo. You don’t have to worry about that. As long as you don’t commit suicide or go on a hunger strike, they won’t die.”

“…”

No wonder.

No wonder the lightbrain said before that even if the little dragon is hungry and has nothing to eat, they can still rely on his blood to support themselves and continue to survive. The fact was clearly in front of him, even if his body was fragile, the dragon cub will be fine. Others were doing well. They still had blood to drink and are very tenacious.

Jian Luo sighed.

Lu Shifeng said to the driver, “Go to Peace Paradise.”

The driver responded, turning around decisively and heading for Peace Paradise. The luxury car drove very steadily and Jian Luo was about to fall asleep again.

At this time, his sleeping appearance was slightly worse, with his head leaning to one side, quite rhythmic bumping up and down.

Lu Shifeng watched, before simply stretching out his hand to hold Jian Luo’s head so that the young man could lean on him and sleep more peacefully.

“We’ve arrived.”

The driver in front spoke.

Jian Luo, who was awakened by the sound, sat up at once. He looked out through the window of the luxury car and found that they were indeed at Peace Paradise. He was relieved.

Lu Shifeng said: “I’ll keep my people here. Just call if you need them.”

Jian Luo looked around suspiciously but didn’t see anyone.

“When you need them, they will appear.” Lu Shifeng seemed to see through his thoughts: “Of course, you can also contact me through the bracelet.”

Jian Luo nodded his obedient head.

He got off and waved goodbye to Lu Shifeng before entering the house. The small yard looked the same as before. He pushed open the door and walked in as usual: “Mom?”

After a long while.

A woman came out from the bedroom. Su Liang looked at him in surprise: “Luoluo.”

“Mom.” Jian Luo smiled slightly: “I’m back.”

Su Liang pulled him, looked at him up and down before finally heaving a sigh of relief: “Child, you really worried your mother to death. Why are you only coming back now?”

Jian Luo sat down on the sofa: “It was too late to come home yesterday. I was worried about disturbing your rest.”

Su Liang sighed, obviously thinking about something else.

“Luoluo.” Su Liang held his hand: “Is it true, between you and… the marshal?”

Jian Luo didn’t want to lie to her: “It is true.”

The room fell into silence.

Jian Luo didn’t know whether to laugh or cry: “I’ve figured it out already. He only likes his children and he just wants his children. I’ll leave when the cub issue is over.”

Su Liang’s eyes were red.

“Oh, don’t be like this.” Jian Luo pretended to be relaxed: “Don’t you think I’m fine?”

The two of them knew that this matter was not simple. After all, the dark stars would definitely not let him go easily. If no one else could conceive a child, the consequences might be more severe than anyone could imagine.

Su Liang was also sensible. Before, she persuaded Jian Luo to leave Lu Shifeng, and he promised, but now she said, “Luoluo, you can’t leave.”

Jian Luo was silent for a moment.

“You have to be good and follow Marshal Lu.” Su Liang said softly, “I can see that he is not the kind of person who is unwilling to take responsibility. As long as you can get him, there will be no more danger in the future!”

“…”

Really? Even my mother.

Jian Luo thought about it and finally said slowly, “I have to think about it.”

It seems that even if he doesn’t want to, he has to actively act like an enthusiastic citizen and help the dark stars to recuperate their bodies. As long as their infertility is cured, everything can be solved.

Of course, before that, he still has one thing to solve.

Chapter 65

Uncle Luo’s full name was Luo Yunguang. Before Li Jianglin made a fortune, Luo Yunguang had been following and working for him and was loyal all his life.

Li Zhenruo still remembered that when he was young, Luo Yunguang went in and out of Li’s house every day, and then suddenly disappeared one day. When he asked, Li Jianglin said that Uncle Luo wanted to retire and went back to his hometown with his wife.

After that, there was no news about Luo Yunguang.

They drove back to the city where they left in the morning and stayed at the hotel.

Li Zhenran sat on the edge of the bed and made several calls in succession, asking someone to help him track Luo Yunguang’s whereabouts.

Li Zhenruo was lying on the bed with his head resting on his arm and looked at him without saying a word.

When Li Zhenran finished the call and waited for news, he reached out and stroked Li Zhenruo’s hair and asked him, “What’s the matter? Didn’t you already know about some of those things?”

The fact that Li Zhenruo was not Li Jianglin’s son was no secret for a long time. Even now that Li Jianglin knew this in his heart at the beginning, Li Zhenran seemed to think that it should not have such a big impact on Li Zhenruo’s emotions.

“I was just thinking…” Li Zhenruo said slowly, “He knew that I was not his son, why did he kick me out of the Li family at that time?”

Li Zhenran’s thumb gently rubbed his forehead, “Maybe he doesn’t want others to know.”

Li Zhenruo raised his head a little to look at him.

Li Zhenran said, “Look, he hasn’t told us about this until now, and he may not plan to let others know in the future.”

Li Zhenruo covered his face with his hands when he heard the words, “But I still feel bad. It’s obviously not my fault, but I ended up being the one who was abandoned.”

“It wasn’t your fault in the first place,” Li Zhenran said, holding Li Zhenruo’s arm and half dragging him onto his lap, facing him face to face, “No matter what, it’s not your fault, you are not to blame.”

Li Zhenruo looked up at him.

Li Zhenran bent down and kissed his lips gently.

After a while, Li Zhenran’s cell phone rang. He answered the phone, listened quietly to the person on the other side, and hung up after two minutes.

Li Zhenruo had been waiting for him.

When the phone hung up, Li Zhenran looked at Li Zhenruo and said, “Uncle Luo didn’t go back to his hometown after he left, and those old brothers in the past didn’t know where he went. They said that if he wanted to check his whereabouts, only Dad might know.”

Li Zhenruo was a little surprised.

Li Zhenran said to him, “We can only go back first. There is no way to rush this matter. I will let people check his whereabouts slowly, and there will always be news.”

Li Zhenruo thought about it. There was no better way at present, so he stretched out his arms to hug Li Zhenran’s waist and nodded.

He was not in a good mood. He always felt that this matter was not that simple, but he had simply become a victim. Not only did he not know who killed him, but now he even became more and more confused about why he died.

On the way home, he was a little lethargic, and on the highway, he suddenly and silently changed back to the appearance of a cat, slumped on the seat and didn’t want to move.

At first, Li Zhenran planned to drive directly back to the apartment in the city, so as not to let the rest of the family know that they had returned, but Li Zhenruo said that he wanted to go back to the Li family.

He was very frustrated, but he had no plans to give up. Only the closer he was to Li Jianglin, the closer he could get to the truth.

It was still afternoon when they got home, and Li Jianglin was in a rare good mood, so he took dog biscuits and fed Erhuang.

Li Zhenran parked the car in the garage, and when he got out of the car, he saw that Li Zhenruo was still unmoving on the seat. He reached out and grabbed one of his cat legs to pull him out. Li Zhenruo reacted very quickly and hugged Li Zhenran’s arm with his front paws, and was taken out of the car by him.

Because Li Jianglin noticed his car coming in just now, Li Zhenran carried Li Zhenruo and didn’t go back to the house, but went around to the front of the kennel and greeted Li Jianglin, “Dad.”

“Back so soon?” Li Jianglin asked without looking back.

       Li Zhenran just responded, “Um.”

Erhuang originally concentrated on asking Li Jianglin for dog biscuits, but seeing Li Zhenruo seemed distracted, he first wagged his tail to show affection to Li Zhenran and then wanted to jump up and touch Li Zhenruo.

Li Zhenran reached out and stroked Erhuang’s head, and said to Li Jianglin, “I’ll go in first.”

But unexpectedly Li Jianglin said, “Wait a minute, I have something to tell you.”

When he heard this, Li Zhenran had to stop, and so he also put Li Zhenruo on the ground.

As Erhuang saw this, he immediately circled around Li Zhenruo excitedly. Li Zhenruo was listless, hugged Erhuang’s leg with his paws, and rubbed his face between his fluffy dog hair. Erhuang actually fell down, his body formed a circle, and Li Zhenruo was placed in the middle, letting him lie on top of him.

Li Jianglin said, “You went out alone?”

Li Zhenran put both hands in his trouser pockets and replied, “Yes.”

Li Jianglin asked him, “Have you thought it over?”

Li Zhenran was originally looking at Li Zhenruo lying in Erhuang’s arms, and when he heard the words, he looked at Li Jianglin, “What should I think clearly?”

Li Zhenruo raised his head and looked at the two of them.

Li Jianglin leaned on crutches with both hands and stood up straight, “A young man, is it worth it?”

       Li Zhenran didn’t speak.

Li Jianglin sighed, “You’ve put in a lot of effort to make Yunlin what it is today. Some words may not be appropriate to say now, but among the three brothers, you are the one I valued the most, and I don’t want you to get together with a man, much less to give up your career easily for a man.”

“Dad,” Li Zhenran said, “I never thought about giving up my career for anyone, and whoever I’m with should not affect my career.”

Li Jianglin snorted softly, “You will not have a stable family, nor will you have children, your private life will be noticed by the media, and everything in the future may be magnified and exposed to the public’s attention. Even a slight breeze may have an impact on Yunlin’s reputation.”

Li Zhenran replied, “It’s possible, but none of these will affect me. I believe that even so, Yunlin will develop better in my hands than in the hands of the eldest brother and the third child. The eldest brother married a woman, but he doesn’t have a stable family. I can’t say anything about the third one, but if he doesn’t change his nature, it’s probably difficult to have a stable family. Many things are too much for you to think about, it should not be so complicated.”

Li Zhenruo had never heard Li Zhenran say these words, and he was a little stunned.

Li Zhenran continued, “As for children, I don’t really care. I didn’t think that in the future, it would be my children who would inherit Yunlin. It could be the children of the eldest brother, or the children of the third child. I will not live for children in this life, I want to just think about my own life.”

Li Jianglin was silent for a long time, and said, “Maybe what you said makes sense, but I still won’t agree.”

Li Zhenran was also quiet for a moment, and he asked Li Jianglin, “Will you disown me as your son because of this?”

Li Jianglin didn’t seem to expect that he would ask this question, and immediately replied, “No.” He really won’t, even if Li Zhenran did such a dirty thing, he never thought of disowning him.

Li Zhenran took a deep breath and said, “Then I can not want Yunlin for him.”

Li Jianglin looked a little surprised, his brows furrowed and he looked at him.

Li Zhenran said, “I can start a business by myself, or I can go to work for others. Since I already had the education and work experience, I believe it is not difficult to find a job that can support myself.”

Li Jianglin’s voice was a little angry, “Is this how you treat your hard work on Yunlin?”

Li Zhenran looked at Li Jianglin and shook his head slowly, “Dad, you shouldn’t treat Yunlin like this. Although the third child’s heart is not in Yunlin, I still want to persuade you that you rather give Yunlin to the third than to the eldest brother. It’s not Yunlin that I worked hard for, it’s you that have worked hard for Yunlin your whole life, you should be more careful.”

Li Jianglin clenched his crutches and leaned hard on the ground.

Li Zhenran said, “Dad, it’s windy here. I’ll help you go in and rest.”

Li Jianglin’s chest heaved and he shook his head, “No need.” After he said that, he turned around and walked towards the house.

Li Zhenruo couldn’t help standing up and looking in the direction where Li Jianglin left.

In the evening, Li Zhentai had entertainment outside and did not come back for dinner, and the atmosphere at home seemed a bit dull.

Before dinner, Li Zhenruo was lying on the chair and stared blankly at Li Jianglin. Li Jianglin had just come out of the study, stood at the door and unbuttoned a button on his neckline.

Zhu Kai just came back from the outside and glanced at Li Jianglin, “Dinner is ready?”

Li Jianglin was upset and didn’t want to pay attention to him. He frowned and didn’t speak. He walked towards the dining room by himself.

Zhu Kai saw Li Zhenruo and said strangely, “The second child is back?” After he said that, he walked directly to the chair Li Zhenruo was lying on, stretched out his hand and grabbed his leg, “Fat cat?”

Li Zhenruo didn’t intend to be polite to him, and his sharp claws lit up and grabbed at his face.

Zhu Kai also reacted quickly and took a step back to avoid it, but he was still startled and raised his legs to kick Li Zhenruo down.

Before that, Li Zhenruo jumped down and ran towards Li Zhenran who had just come downstairs.

Li Zhenran picked him up and said, “Let’s eat.”

Li Jianglin walked to the dining table and sat down. His phone suddenly rang. He answered the call, and the person on the other end said something in a hurry.

Li Zhenruo noticed that Li Jianglin’s face was getting worse and worse. After a while, he hung up the phone, raised his head and said to Li Zhenran, “Your younger brother has an affair with a married actress and was caught on camera by a reporter.”

The author has something to say:

Everyone is paying attention to Zhenruo’s date of birth. In the beginning, he said that he was twenty-three years old. It took me a long time to count the number of days to confirm that he was born in 1992 and this year he is exactly twenty-three years old.

Notes:
Tsk tsk tsk, when will Zhenzi grow up?

Chapter 35 – How to chase after someone

Chapter 35 – How to chase after someone

Jian Luo’s whole body froze.

He turned his head and saw Lu Shifeng standing at the door. The man in the military uniform was leaning against the door, raising his eyelids and looking at him. His dark eyes were very oppressive.

Jian Luo’s head was buzzing: “Why are you here?”

“What?” Lu Shifeng said slowly, “I can’t be here?”

“……you can.”

Jian Luo remembered that he hadn’t washed up yet and quickly said, “Then I’ll go wash up first.”

The bathroom in the palace was very large, but it is almost brand new, as if no one used it much. Jian Luo quickly washed himself with the toiletries prepared by the servers.

When he came out, the servers outside did not leave.

Lu Shifeng sat beside his bed and glanced at him: “You’re finished?”

Jian Luo looked at this situation and was a little nervous. Looking at Lu Shifeng, he said: “What are you going to do?”

“Come here.”

“Why?”

Lu Shifeng stood up and walked in front of him. The man stretched out his hand and reached down. Jian Luo’s nervous eyes followed them as they tidied up the collar of his shirt for him.

Jian Luo felt nervous.

Lu Shifeng’s fingers were slender as he straightened his neckline before saying, “How old are you that you can’t even wear your own clothes well?”

Jian Luo said innocently, “I wasn’t paying much attention.”

“Okay.” Lu Shifeng said without arguing with him, “Let’s go.”

Jian Luo walked beside him: “Where are we going?”

Lu Shifeng pushed the door open and said, “I’m taking you to dinner.”

“But I still have to go to work.”

“Eat first.”

“……Oh.”

When Jian Luo reached the dining table, there were many dishes laid out from one end of the table to the other and it was almost impossible to see the end of it.

Jian Luo almost didn’t dare to sit down: “So many dishes.”

Lu Shifeng pulled a chair back for him: “The doctor has prepared a nutrition plan for you. Eat some of these, at least.”

Jian Luo sat down and looked at the table.

There was a lot of meat. Almost all of it was meat. The Dark Stars were good at two things, one is grilling food and the other is boiling food.

Occasionally, there were a few strange vegetables in the middle, which were strangely shaped and completely unappetizing.

Jian Luo grabbed the nearest piece of meat and started to eat. He was hungry now, so he wasn’t very picky and ate some of them. While he was eating, he found that Lu Shifeng didn’t move his chopsticks at all.

Jian Luo was very curious: “Aren’t you going to eat?”

“I’m not hungry.” Lu Shifeng had high standards for his food: “You should eat.”

“…”

Fine.

Jian Luo was also not good at forcing others. He ates the food on his own, but because he ate a little too fast, he almost choked.

Lu Shifeng frowned: “You eat slowly, no one will steal from you.”

“I didn’t expect this meat to have been smoked, so I choked.” Jian Luo took a sip from the cup filled with green nutrient solution next to him: “But it’s quite delicious.”

Lu Shifeng said in a low voice, “You can eat it whenever you want, as long as you’re not tired of it.”

“I won’t get the chance to get tired of this.” Jian Luo held the glass in his hand: “When this cub comes out, I won’t have the chance to eat these.”

There were many meanings behind this remark.

Lu Shifeng tapped his fingertips on the table, pretending to be casual, “You can also order it if you want.”

Jian Luo shook his head: “No, it must be expensive. I won’t be able to afford it at home, even if it’s only for a few times.”

Lu Shifeng looked at Jian Luo, the young man who was eating at the table and holding a cup of nutrient solution, drinking the liquid leisurely.

He looked like someone who enjoyed the glory, wealth, and honor of it all, but in his bones, he had never even thought of staying in the aristocracy. Jian Luo still yearned for his own freedom, as if it were only a task to bring the child out. Once the task was completed, he would also withdraw and leave immediately.

“I’m stuffed.”

Jian Luo put down the glass.

Lu Shifeng recovered from his thoughts and stood up: “Let’s go then.”

“En.” Jian Luo followed him and walked outside: “I’m going to the seed cultivating base.”

Lu Shifeng walked steadily and asked, “Do you have to go?”

Jian Luo felt a little strange: “Isn’t it my job?”

“Why do you want to cultivate seeds?” Lu Shifeng’s voice was steady, as he glanced at him sideways: “If it’s for an official ID, I can handle it.”

Jian Luo walked slowly: “It’s not wholly because of that. I’ve wanted to grow peppers myself for a long time.”

Lu Shifeng frowned.

“Did the doc say I can’t overwork?” Jian Luo covered his stomach. He guessed as much: “Then when the seeds germinate and bear fruit, I’ll stop working for a while.”

Lu Shifeng’s furrowed brows loosened a little.

Who knew that Jian Luo would raise his brows and say: “I can live stream at home so it will not be tiring.”

He was thinking that he must find something to do, otherwise he will suffocate in the room every day. While waiting for the cubs to come out, he will still have to work hard in his career!

“…”

The Marshal did not dampen his enthusiasm.

The cloud car was already waiting. The car was fast and steady. They were closer compared to the route he normally took from Peace Paradise, so they would be arriving soon.

Jian Luo waved at him: “Well, I’ll go first.”

Lu Shifeng: “Wait.”

Jian Luo was stunned for a moment. He thought she could run away, but didn’t expect for someone to tell him to wait, so he said, “What’s the matter..?”

Lu Shifeng said in a deep voice, “I will pick you up in the afternoon.”

Jian Luo thought that it would be fine to take a taxi by himself, but when he was about to say that, he saw the eyes of the Marshal again: “Okay.”

This is the predetermined way.

When Jian Luo walked all the way to the shed, he felt weird along the way. How should he say it? He always felt like someone was staring at him. When he walked into the shed, she happened to see Wang Heng.

When Jian Luo walked in, he busied himself with looking at how the pepper seedlings were doing while Wang Heng was next to him was still looking down at the information terminal. Usually, at this time in the past, Wang Heng would always be sarcastic when he saw him.

“Beep, the temperature has been set.”

The temperature-adjusting machine sounded and became quiet again.

Jian Luo started to scan the status of the seeds with the detection instrument. The instrument scanned the soil before turning green: [Everything is normal.]

This is very good. Jian Luo estimated that if nothing else happened, the seedlings would sprout  within two days.

Wang Heng glanced at him: “They’re not dead yet?”

Jian Luo was too lazy to pay attention to him: “Those seedlings of yours are dying.”

“……you!”

Wang Heng was also very angry, but he couldn’t refute anything, because his seedlings were indeed dying.

Jian Luo came over and said, “Do you want me to help you?”

Wang Heng didn’t believe him one bit, but the situation in front of him was a reality he had to face. In the past few days, Jian Luo’s seedlings were getting better and better. They even had the tendency to germinate and burst from the soil, while his plants were almost untraceable.

Jian Luo came over and leaned down: “The temperature of the big vegetables should not be too high, around 25°C is best.”

Wang Heng was suddenly curious: “How did you know this?”

“Do you still need to know this?” Jian Luo said confidently: “This was originally a plant from our planet. The people of our planet must know how to grow them.”

“…”

Why didn’t the previous humans know about this?

Wang Heng wanted to complain a little in his heart, but after considering that Jian Luo had helped him just now because he was not good, he changed the subject instead: “Have you seen the hot search on ligthweb?”

Jian Luo was taken aback: “What’s the hot search?”

“The hot search states that we may have a cub.” Wang Heng’s face showed a proud expression: “The officials have basically confirmed it.”

Jian Luo was in a complicated mood: “This matter is so popular.”

Wang Heng sneered: “You don’t know anything at all.”

“…”

No, I really don’t understand.

“This child proves that we are not a planet destined for extinction.” Wang Heng rarely showed his emotion and he sighed: “This child is our hope. You don’t understand. It is the hope of the entire planet.”

Jian Luo sat down next to him and was really curious: “Then what if you can’t get new life other than this child?”

Wang Heng’s expression changed: “What nonsense!”

Jian Luo shrugged helplessly.

However, his words seemed to give Wang Heng some inspiration. He said: “Since he could conceive a child, this hero who has conceived a child will also become the hope of saving the entire planet. How he conceived a child can also be taught to us. For us, my wife was so excited yesterday that she didn’t sleep well. She always wanted a child and now with this hero, he’s found a way to save us all.”

“…”

No, he did not.

Jian Luo sat on the rocking chair to rest. Suddenly, he also began to fall into contemplation.

Thinking of traditional chinese medicine, his body was different from that of other Dark Stars, so is it possible that his soul did not transmigrate, but it was his entire body that was sent here?

So was it possible that he got pregnant because of his own body? Because he ate rice and drank boiled water like normal people in his era, he was able to become pregnant.

In the same way, if this logic is followed, if the Dark Stars also start to improve their diets, will they be saved?

Wang Heng’s voice came from beside him: “What are you thinking about?”

Jian Luo came back to his senses: “it’s nothing, I’m just thinking about something else.”

Wang Heng decided to ignore him.

Jian Luo’s ideas became more solid the more he thought about it, as he stood next to him. But not all the Dark Stars are drinking nutrient solution. The rich nobles also eat vegetables and meat, but these nobles obviously also had no children too so could it be possible that they must consume the vegetables and rice that come from Earth!?

According to this principle, the planting base on Peace Paradise is simply the Garden of Eden for treating the infertility of the Dark Stars!

Wang Heng was still beside him, thinking: “It would be nice if I could do something for the cub. I don’t know what their situation is now.”

“It’s alright!” Jian Luo said excitedly: “Don’t worry. You are contributing to the world if you grow more vegetables!”

???

You must be mentally ill.

Jian Luo spent most of the morning exploring the remaining cultivable seeds. According to records, there were at least 2,000 vegetable varieties in the freezer.

These varieties even contain onions, ginger and garlic, as well as various vegetables and fruits like watermelon.

It’s a place of happiness!

Wang Heng reminded him not far away: “It’s time to eat.”

Jian Luo responded casually: “Okay.”

He wasn’t too hungry as he ate too much in the morning, so he just wanted to continue experimenting for a while when a figure appeared at the entrance of the greenhouse.

“Luoluo.”

A familiar female voice called out.

Jian Luo raised his head slightly in surprise, and saw Kazuki standing at the door, smiling: “I’m here to pick you up for a trip back to Moonlight. The boss seems to be looking for you for something.”

Jian Luo turned off the information screen: “What’s the matter with the boss?”

Kazuki shrugged, “I don’t know.”

“……Ok.”

After all, it’s just the boss. He was able to get a place here all because of Nie Yan, so it’s better to show him some courtesy, otherwise he won’t be able to continue working.

While sitting in the car, Kazuki always looked at him from time to time. Jian Luo couldn’t take it anymore: “Is there anything on my face?”

Kazuki shook her head quickly: “It’s nothing. I just haven’t seen you for a few days, so I wanted to look at you more!”

“…”

On the other hand,

The person Zhan Wentai sent over to pick Jian Luo up for dinner was in vain. Where was the person in the shed?

The attendant asked a person not far away: “Where is he?”

The guard of the phoenix clan, who had been secretly protecting him, said, “Boss Nie sent someone to pick him up.”

The attendant was disappointed that he didn’t even do anything: “Couldn’t you have stopped him?”

“The order we received was to ensure his safety.” The Phoenix clan’s guard said, “I didn’t want to stop him as he left voluntarily.”

“…”

The attendant gritted his teeth, not knowing what to do.

As the two were chatting, Secretary Jin also walked over slowly. She looked at the person before smiling: “Hello you two, I’m here to pick Luoluo up.”

The attendant turned around: “Who are you?”

Secretary Jin stood up straight and introduced herself: “I’m the secretary of the marshal. You can call me Secretary Jin.”

The attendant was curious: “Then why are you here today?”

“I’m going to pick Luoluo up for dinner.” Secretary Jin had a decent smile on her face: “Please call him for me.”

Oh, it turned out that they were looking for the same person.

The attendant suddenly felt less uncomfortable. He said, “I’m sorry, he has already picked up Moonlight.”

Secretary Jin was taken aback: “Where?”

The attendant repeated it again: “Moonlight.”

“…”

At Moonlight.

The entirety of Moonlight was the most prosperous place on the Dark Star.

When Jian Luo went in, he was still thinking about what Nie Yan wanted him to do, but he was directly taken to the hall where Nie Yan sat. There was a table with various delicacies on it.

Jian Luo stood at the table: “Boss?”

“You’ve arrived?” Nie Yan stood up and pulled a chair for Jian Luo thoughtfully: “Sit down.”

I get afraid when you are like this.

Jian Luo sat down nervously: “Is there a reason you’re looking for me?”

Nie Yan snorted and sat down, “I’ve heard everything about you. Because I was worried about your health, I’ll decided to pick you up for lunch at noon.”

Jian Luo choked: “You didn’t have to.”

“You don’t have to be polite with me.” Nie Yan looked very generous: “You are my employee and you should be taken care of.”

Jian Luo blushed.

All the dishes on the table were very delicate. There were even some dishes that Jian Luo had never seen before. He heard Nie Yan next to him say: “These dishes are all made by the top chefs, especially that one, the golden pig is a delicacy that even the daughters of planet f90 can’t get, and this one…”

Jian Luo just kept listening to Nie Yan introduce how expensive and valuable these dishes are.

Finally, Nie Yan stopped: “Do you understand?”

Jian Luo almost fell asleep, but he replied confusedly: “I understand.”

“…”

Nie Yan sat on the chair, turned the gold ring on his finger, before saying meaningfully: “If money can buy something, there is nothing I can’t get.”

Jian Luo dealt with it perfunctorily: “It is admiration for you to be rich enough to rival the entire planet.”

Nie Yan’s face was full of shrewdness and a smile formed at the corner of his mouth: “I know you are a smart person, so you must know the weight of this.”

Jian Luo: “I understand. Don’t worry, I will definitely work hard for you.”

“…”

Jian Luo, I am upset at what a blockhead you are.

As the richest man ate the meal, it was full of mixed flavors. The most disturbing thing to him was that Jian Luo did not give a high evaluation after eating, but instead looked a little sad.

Nie Yan: “What’s wrong?”

“It’s nothing.” Jian Luo shook his head: “I was thinking, are these what you want to eat?”

The richest man raised the corner of his mouth confidently: “It’s just a few meals not worth mentioning. I’ll have someone pick you up tomorrow as well.”

Jian Luo sighed leisurely: “Thank you for your kindness, but you don’t have to.”

Nie Yan frowned, “Then what are you going to do?”

With this much delicious food, Jian Luo was still not satisfied. What else does he want to eat? Nie Yan didn’t believe that he couldn’t buy it.

Jian Luo said: “I can cook by myself.”

Nie Yan was taken aback.

“These things are delicious.” Jian Luo sighed: “But I still want to eat a proper meal or something.”

Nie Yan: ???

Was there not a single good meal you had out of the table that I’ve bought with a lot of my capital?

After leaving Moonlight, Jian Luo returned to the seed planting base in the afternoon to see his little pepper seedlings. Honestly speaking, after having meat in the morning and also in the afternoon, he was tired of eating meat. Not just tired, but sick of it. Tonight, he didn’t want to eat another meal with meat again.

Ever since he had the cubs, he didn’t know if it was because he was cultivating peppers or something, but he had a craving for spicy food, which he couldn’t have.

He still wanted to eat sour food or something that tastes like that.

But Dark Star doesn’t have it at all. It was all either barbecued or boiled here.

“Ding dong.”

There was a sound from his information terminal.

Jian Luo came back to his senses and opened his message to see a message from Lu Shifeng: “Come out after you get off work.”

Oh, it’s time to go.

Jian Luo packed up. Before leaving, he took a special look at his poor little peppers and wished from the bottom of his heart, praying secretly for his chili peppers to grow up quickly and save his poor palate.

The cloud car outside has been waiting for a long time.

Jian Luo got into the car: “You’re going to take me home?”

“I’m taking you to buy something.” Lu Shifeng looked at the clothes that Jian Luo was wearing and said: “On the way, we’ll get you some items.”

Jian Luo felt very strange: “But I already have them.”

He also had principles, didn’t he? He’s not like a dog, following him wherever he goes. He has to be firm and strong like a man!

Lu Shifeng sat lazily on the sofa in the car seat and said slowly, “You don’t have to repay the money.”

“……Ok.”

The car stopped at the largest department store in the entire Dark Star. It was also Jian Luo’s first time here. He had to sigh: “You actually go shopping?”

After all, shouldn’t the marshal be the cool and arrogant kind of tyrant, letting everything of insignificance be handled ‌by his secretary or just buy everything in the room in one go, instead of slowly choosing whatever you want? Why did you want to go shopping in person?!

Lu Shifeng lowered his eyes and remembered the words of the little emperor:

The little emperor: “Since they are your cubs, you have to take good care of them. Not just materialistically, but also spiritually. Luoluo is not very old and only 20 years old. In your dragon clan, he is very young and still weaning like a baby, so you have to care more about him.”

Lu Shifeng: “If you asked him to speak, he would be satisfied with anything.”

The big dragon should take care of the little dragon like this. No matter what the little dragon wants to eat or what prey it wants, the big dragon must satisfy him. This was what taking care of someone meant.

The little emperor was silent: “I don’t think so.”

Lu Shifeng raised his eyebrows.

“Uncle, maybe you are quite good at fighting, but you are really not good at pursuing and taking care of people. I think, why don’t you go back and ask Secretary Jin?”

Huh?

Marshal Lu scoffed at the little emperor’s proposal.

When he went back, Lu Shifeng stared at Secretary Jin. He almost scared his secretary away: “Um, Marshal, did I do something wrong?”

Lu Shifeng’s handsome face tensed up. It was what the man did every time he encountered a massive problem, but the more he is like this, the more Secretary Jin feels that something was wrong.

“Um…Marshal.” Secretary Jin was very nervous: “Is there anything I haven’t done well recently?”

Lu Shifeng said indifferently, “No.”

Secretary Jin breathed a sigh of relief and asked again, “Then do you need me to do anything?”

Lu Shifeng was silent.

Secretary Jin felt that she had the right idea!

She quickly raced to the finish line: “Don’t worry. If there is anything I can do for you, I will do my best!”

Lu Shifeng lifted his eyelids and glanced at her, as if he was gauging her authenticity. Finally, the man said, “Do you know how to make the kid happy?”

“…”

The kids aren’t even out yet!

Marshal, wake up!

Secretary Jin said hesitantly, “Probably like usual dragon cubs…”

“Not them.” Lu Shifeng interrupted ruthlessly, “Jian Luo.”

Secretary Jin choked up. As an all-around secretary, she couldn’t admit defeat and she definitely couldn’t be ignorant. She thought for a while: “I think he should enjoy shopping in the mall!”

And so, the biased Marshal Lu brought Jian Luo to the mall.

As soon as Jian Luo came in, it was as if a country boy had entered the city: “What is that? How can it still fly? God, is the signboard of that shop made of clay?”

Lu Shifeng: “Don’t run around.”

Jian Luo responded, feeling that his two eyes were not enough: “It’s too amazing.”

When two people walked in front of each other, Jian Luo always almost got separated from him while watching all kinds of interesting things. After this happened several times, Lu Shifeng said, “Hand.”

Jian Luo: “En.”

Lu Shifeng took a step forward and held his hand with his fingers intertwined. The man’s palm was rough while Jian Luo’s was tender. The two hands were held together in unusual harmony.

Jian Luo stood beside him, like a petite daughter-in-law. This kind of mood that seems to resemble a couple shopping together was a bit awkward, even for Jian Luo, so he coughed lightly: “Cough, it’s alright. I can walk on my own.”

“What’s the matter?” Lu Shifeng gave him a slow, dark look. He raised his eyebrows with a hint of confusion in his eyes. After a while, he leaned down and said in a low voice, “Does holding my hand aggrieve you?”

His handsome face widened before his eyes.

Jian Luo’s goddamn face-con attributes began flaring up again. He stuttered and said, “No grievances here.”

“Hello. Here’s your cloud fruit.”

The voice of the staff making the food chimed in.

Jian Luo hurriedly pulled back his hand to hold the cloud fruit. He took a bite of the soft cloud fruit and the embarrassment from holding hands dissipated a lot as he sighed.

Lu Shifeng: “What are you thinking about?”

“I was thinking about the time when I was young.” Jian Luo sighed: “At that time, I only talked to the other casually while holding their small hand. I thought that it might be the beginning of a romance, but unfortunately, after so many years have passed, it turns out that would only be the highest point of that saga.”

In his opinion, it should be normal to talk about a few innocent past loves while he was still a young student.

Unexpectedly, Lu Shifeng narrowed his eyes dangerously: “How many people are you talking about?”

Jian Luo still had his head buried in the cloud fruit, missing the dangerous aura: “Not much. I can’t remember. Let me do the math for a second.”

Chapter 34 – Who will the children go with?

Chapter 34 – Who will the children go with?

Lu Shifeng narrowed his eyes: “What did you say?”

The strong murderous aura and threat could be sensed by even a fool. Jian Luo was a little terrified as he nestled in the chair and almost hugged himself pitifully: “The doctor just said that there is a problem. In case it is a deformity or something, shouldn’t it be aborted?”

The doctor: ???

I’m begging you, I didn’t say it, don’t hurt me.

Lu Shifeng glanced at the poor and helpless doctor next to him again: “Is his problem serious?”

“Cough. From the current point of view, although the dragon cubs have no shell, all the tests indicate that they are normal and very healthy. Compared to the normal size of two-month cubs, the dragon cubs are a little too small.”

Simply put, it was due to malnutrition.

The Dark Stars have been looking forward to the cub for thousands of years. The holy dragon fruit tree couldn’t wait to blossom all over the mountains and fields and everyone couldn’t wait to hold the cub in their hearts.

Lu Shifeng glanced at Jian Luo.

Jian Luo was very innocent: “Can you blame me? You won’t sell the holy dragon fruit, so I wasn’t able to buy it.”

After he said that, he was even a little aggrieved. He lowered his head and didn’t want to look at Lu Shifeng, like a very angry little daughter-in-law.

“…”

Lu Shifeng said in a deep voice, “So you already knew?”

Here it comes again, the relentless questions poking at his soul.

Jian Luo was afraid for a moment, and said vaguely: “Not that early on.”

Lu Shifeng glanced at him again with a cold look and Jian Luo was too cowardly to speak.

The doctor wanted to make the atmosphere a little better, so he said to Lu Shifeng, “Marshal, please. I’m afraid I will have to discuss the rest of the details with you privately.”

Lu Shifeng went out with an “en”.

It was late at night. Apart from the rain outside, the hospital was very quiet. Lu Shifeng was standing by the window in the corridor, very tall.

The doctor considered: “Marshal, since there has never been a case of a human being pregnant with a beast cub, we can only wait and see. At present, we think the best plan is to ensure that the cubs are healthy. Let’s see if we need to take the cubs out and transfer them into the breeding lab alone to cultivate them, so as to ensure that the cubs are getting enough nutrition. After all, you can see that the human body is lacking in nutrients.”

Lu Shifeng looked at the rain falling outside. His handsome face was stern, but he didn’t speak.

“Besides.” The doctor frowned and finally said, “According to the current situation, if our first cub came from a human, it wouldn’t sound very good if we spread it out. What do you think?”

There was a moment of silence in the hallway.

Half a second later.

Lu Shifeng said, “The dragon clan has had no new life for three hundred years.”

The doctor was stunned.

“With your so-called breeding laboratory with test tubes and so-called high-tech. Why has no one from the dragon clan given birth to a little dragon yet?” Lu Shifeng looked at her condescendingly: “Why should I trust you?”

The doctor looked ugly and hesitated: “But even if you don’t believe us…”

Lu Shifeng interrupted her: “If he is malnourished, I’ll try to supplement him with nutrition. If he’s healthy, why should I use you?”

The pressure from her superior was absolute. Lu Shifeng’s aura suddenly turned cold, making the doctor swallow all the words that came from her mouth.

When Lu Shifeng went back, Jian Luo had been cooperating with the doctor to do various examinations.

The person on the chair looked very thin. Probably because he had always been very energetic in the past. After a while, when he calmed down, he only realized that this human being was really weak. With a delicate and fair face, as well as slender limbs. When a needle was stabbed into his wrist, red blood flowed out, but the entire person was quiet and silent.

Lu Shifeng stopped at the door.

The doctor in the room drew some blood and pulled out the needle: “Okay, please take a rest before you go back.”

Jian Luo: “Thank you.”

At the door, Lu Shifeng stepped forward and stood in front of him. There was a sharp contrast between the tall and mighty man and the fragile little human.

Marshal Lu bent down and helped him put on his coat: “Let’s go.”

Jian Luo nodded.

When walking outside, Jian Luo was still rubbing his wrists and gasping for breath from time to time, showing his dissatisfaction with the blood draw earlier.

Lu Shifeng glanced at him: “Does it hurt?”

“Nonsense, of course.” Jian Luo muttered, “Why are the needles so big while my blood vessels are so thin, what did they want to stab?”

The corners of Lu Shifeng’s mouth curled up but the man remained cool: “The size and body structure of Dark Stars are different from those of humans, so the size of the needles will be different. If you hate it, let them change it next time.”

Jian Luo wanted to quit: “There’ll be a next time?”

Lu Shifeng watched him go down the stairs: “I know it hurts. Next time, it’ll be better. If you’re healthy, you won’t need to do it.”

“…”

Was that my business?

Maybe it was because Lu Shifeng was coaxing him, so he became more daring: “You said it’ll be better because you’ll be fine when they’re done. I’m the one who has to suffer.”

It’s not that he’s looking for trouble. It’s really too miserable. When he’s pregnant, he didn’t even have the right to choose if he could keep them or not. And even if nothing was wrong, he still had to get his blood drawn in the middle of the night. Was this humane?

While talking, the two walked to the bottom of the stairs together.

The car was waiting, and a group of soldiers from the Dark Star dragon clan were waiting in the hallway. Their qualifications were no less than for escorting the emperor.

Marshal Lu faced him as he stopped his usual rambling. He was even a little solemn: “As long as you treat them well, it doesn’t matter if you’ll be able to keep them in the future…”

The aforementioned man paused for a bit.

After a long while, Lu Shifeng continued slowly: “I will still take responsibility for you.”

Of all the people present, only Jian Luo didn’t understand how much wealth, power, fame and fortune was hidden behind the sentence.

Jian Luo just pursed his lips hopelessly: “Forget about taking responsibility. Just… just give me a suite.”

In the back, Secretary Jin heard this and her jaw dropped.

She never expected Luoluo to be so simple and unpretentious with no desire for money!

The corner of Lu Shifeng’s mouth curled into a faint smile. He stretched out his slender arm and pinched Jian Luo’s face: “Come on, you can choose any house in the world.”

“…”

If you say something like that, I won’t hurt even if I get the needle.

Jian Luo’s mood improved a lot. Wasn’t there a saying that if you couldn’t refuse, then you should just enjoy it? Wasn’t it the rational thing to do?

Since he couldn’t refuse, he should at least get some benefits for himself. He didn’t want to be a some saint. After suffering so much, he wasn’t about to go back home empty-handed. That would be so stupid.

It was still raining outside.

Lu Shifeng opened the car door for him: “Get in the car.”

Jian Luo bowed in response and got into the car obediently. It was late at night. After sitting down, he said, “Are you going to take me back?”

Lu Shifeng asked him to fasten his seat belt and replied, “Mm.”

“Oh.” Jian Luo nodded and said: “Next time, don’t bring so many people. The people in my family are gossipy.”

Lu Shifeng raised his eyebrows: “Who told you we will send you back to Peace Paradise?”

“…?”

Jian Luo felt very strange: “Otherwise, where would I go?”

Lu Shifeng was righteous: “To my place. Or where do you want to go?”

“Ah?” Jian Luo didn’t accept it for a while: “Are you going today?”

“It’s impossible for your relatives to experience that a second time.” Lu Shifeng’s face sank a little: “Not to mention that Peace Paradise is not very safe.”

“…”

Jian Luo fell silent.

Lu Shifeng said, “If you are worried about your mother, I will ask someone to deal with her.”

Jian Luo thought about it, but couldn’t think of a better solution. According to the current situation, if something went wrong with the dragon cub in his stomach, it was not only his fault. His mother and younger brother may all suffer and be implicated too.

Peace Paradise was indeed not a very peaceful place. He wanted to move out from there for a long time but didn’t he have to be registered to have a permanent residence?

Jian Luo said heavily: “Okay then.”

Lu Shifeng gave a “en” and seemed to be very satisfied with his sensibleness.

There was a moment of silence in the car as Lu Shifeng concentrated on his official business as Jian Luo, who was next to him, contacted Su Liang himself to explain that he would not be going back tonight before dealing with the live broadcast site. After that, he took a look at the time. It was 12:00 in the morning

Jian Luo cautiously glanced at Lu Shifeng next to him. The man lowered his head slightly and was concentrating on his official business. The information light screen was suspended in the air and there were rows of words on it which he couldn’t understand at all.

The inside of the car was silent and the cloud car was completely silent as it was driving.

When they arrived at the destination, Lu Shifeng turned his face away and what he saw was Jian Luo’s fully asleep face. The whole person seemed to be curled up like a small shrimp with his head lowered and the long lashes fluttering on his shut eyelids. His brows furrowed slightly, as if he was seeing something unpleasant in a dream.

The driver turned his head: “Marshal…”

Lu Shifeng made a silent gesture to him, and the uncle driver quickly shut up.

They arrived at the military, the most secure place in the entire empire. Lu Shifeng carried him and walked towards the entrance. The person in his arms was sleeping soundly. But he was more likely tired after running around the entire day. To a certain extent, he wasn’t too prepared for all of this to happen.

Along the way, many soldiers wanted to salute him, but they all stopped after seeing him.

“Beep, successful.”

The bedroom door verified his retina, made a mechanical sound, and slowly opened. Lu Shifeng walked in with Jian Luo in his arms, and put him on the sofa.

Jian Luo woke up a little when he heard the mechanical door speaking.

“Hmm…” He opened his sleepy eyes: “Are we there yet?”

It was a bright and spacious office. Everything seemed right, but there was a big problem.

Jian Luo was dumbfounded: “Where’s the bed?”

Lu Shifeng sat down beside him, frowning: “Do you still need a bed?”

“…”

Dog man.

Jian Luo simply didn’t know how to describe the complexity in his heart. He nodded heavily: “I want to sleep on a bed. Isn’t it difficult for you if you don’t sleep?”

Lu Shifeng was silent: “I’ll have someone prepare one for you.”

Jian Luo choked: “It’s alright. Don’t worry about it since it’s late. I’ll sleep on the sofa first.”

However, the sofa was quite hard. What’s up with the Dark Stars, they don’t know how to enjoy life at all. The sofa should be soft. If it was this hard, they should just sleep on the floor.

Lu Shifeng stood up: “Let’s go.”

?

Jian Luo was very puzzled: “Where are we going?”

“Taking you somewhere with a bed.”

Jian Luo was thinking that it’s okay to have no bed and he could make do without. Who would have thought that Lu Shifeng would already start walking so fast that he couldn’t keep up.

Getting on the cloud car, he began to fall asleep again.

The car quickly arrived, and the palace servants who was guarding outside said, “You are here, His Majesty is already waiting.”

Lu Shifeng said, “Is everything ready?”

The palace man whispered: “Everything is ready.”

On the seat, Jian Luo had fallen asleep again. This time, he slept deeper than the last. He was moved around since one or two in the morning, who could stand it? Lu Shifeng carried him out effortlessly. The waiting palace servants already knew the news long before, and looked at Jian Luo eagerly.

The tall and handsome man was holding a petite human being in his arms, and judging from his body strucutre, he was an adult male.

Lu Shifeng said in a deep voice, “Lead the way.”

The palace servant responded and led the way in front. Although he withdrew his gaze, his mind was still on the eye-catching man in Lu Shifeng’s embrace. Was that petite human being pregnant with a dragon cub? Could he be looking at the vulnerable life who held their entire’s planet’s hope?

“Beep.”

The door’s detector has verified that they may pass.

Lu Shifeng brought Jian Luo into the room prepared inside the palace. The big red curtains covered the windows and the room had a big bed. Although the blood clan usually liked to sleep in coffins, they didn’t like to be lacking, so even if they didn’t sleep in a bed, their bedrooms will also be equipped with a large and soft bed.

When Jian Luo was put down, he woke up in a daze and said to Lu Shifeng, “We’ve arrived?”

“En.” Lu Shifeng told him to lie down: “Go to sleep.”

Jian Luo, who was already sleeping like a log, didn’t want to be too concerned about his whereabouts, he just wanted to continue sleeping.

Lu Shifeng frowned and tugged: “Come out, don’t stifle your breathing.”

Jian Luo shrank into a ball covering his face, ignoring the marshal’s command and even felt a little annoyed.

The palace servant felt a little helpless beside him.

Lu Shifeng didn’t give up, he reached in and tried to pull Jian Luo out, but Jian Luo, who was very sleepy and had a lot of energy not to get up, shifted and took a bite.

“…”

There was a moment of silence in the air.

The marshal’s arms were still stretched out, and there was a distinct tooth mark on it still stained with saliva. The palace servant next to him was amused.

Who would have thought that Lu Shifeng, who was so majestic on the battlefield and frightening to the enemy, could be easily chomped on by such a fragile human being?

Lu Shifeng gave him a cold look, with a dangerous smile on the corner of his mouth: “Is it funny?”

“…”

The palace servant immediately became serious and took out a clean handkerchief to let him wipe himself off: “It’s not funny.”

Lu Shifeng took it.

After the saliva was wiped off, it was thrown back to the palace servant, and Lu Shifeng’s cold expression returned. He said, “I’m going to see the Majesty, over here…”

“Please rest assured. After knowing that you will be coming here, most of the people in the entire palace were arranged nearby to protect the Lord’s safety. His Majesty even sent a personal guard.” The palace servant said quickly: “There will be people here and we will protect him to the best of our abilities.”

Lu Shifeng just nodded and went out.

Early in the morning, the palace was brightly lit. In other words, tonight, in addition to Jian Luo himself, all the Dark Stars who heard the news about the cubs were sleepless all night.

In the conference hall, everyone was already seated.

Nie Yan fiddled with his golden ring. When he saw Lu Shifeng coming in, he said, “Has Marshal Lu found the person?”

Lu Shifeng pulled out a chair and sat down.

Opposite him, there was the high priest Zhan Wentai, who always looked cold and holy when praying and offering sacrifices to God.

The little emperor sat at the front: “I have just received news from uncle, the one with the cub is Luoluo. I think everyone here should know it by now.”

Nie Yan raised his eyebrows: “He’s my employee.”

“He’s an employee of the breeding base.”

Zhan Wentai had to speak to remind him.

Lu Shifeng sneered: “The dragon cub he is carrying is mine.”

The most difficult thing for the little emperor to do was to have a meeting with these three giants. Every time these gods fight, he, from the blood clan, suffers.

“Everyone, listen to me.” The little emperor coughed lightly to attract their attention: “Luoluo’s cub, whether it’s a dragon cub or someone else’s cub, is a cub that we should all protect together. The hospital just reported to me that the cubs are in very bad condition and they analyzed that it is very likely that the cub will be birthed directly.”

Everyone was stunned.

The little emperor pondered: “According to their research on Earthlings, it seems that it takes 10 months to conceive, which is about a year, and that is for a human child. For a small dragon, the incubation period is longer, so it is still conditional. In this case, if it is inside a human, it could take even longer, and they estimate it could be around 16 months or so.”

Everyone was silent.

Half a second later.

Nie Yanxing was relatively straightforward, he was a businessman, and he liked to talk about bargaining chips: “I’ll just say it straight, I think the cubs are better off with me.”

Lu Shifeng lifted his eyelids and looked at him.

“It’s useless to just look at me.” Nie Yan, who was a rich noble, showed a confident smile: “You go out to fight from time to time all the year round. Can you accompany the cubs? Plus, why did you have to bring him here today? The condition of the place you live in is only suitable for your dragon clan to live in.”

Lu Shifeng sneered: “The cub is also a dragon.”

“You are a half-beast, but Jian Luo is not.” Nie Yan said slowly: “The inspection results showed that the three cubs he was carrying had no eggshells, indicating that he was malnourished. Marshal Lu had no experience and no time to take good care of him”

Zhan Wentai rarely reacted, he said: “He is cultivating seedlings on my site.”

“He’s still an employee of Moonlight.” Nie Yan’s mouth twitched into a smile: “I am also obliged to take good care of my employees.”

Little Emperor: “…”

Keeping it simple, while scheming, huh?.

Lu Shifeng sneered: “Now that he is pergnant, does he still have a use at your establishment?”

“Let’s let Jian Luo choose for himself.” Nie Yan continued to look at his gold ring, wondering what he was thinking about: “Not to mention, he and you are not partners.”

Nie Yan’s intention was clear.

Jian Luo and Lu Shifeng didn’t have a marriage certificate. Some time ago, it happened to be the estrus period of the dragon clan, so one could guess how the child came to be.

That is to say, after the dragon cub is born, Jian Luo could completely cut off his relations with Lu Shifeng.

Then, since this was the case, naturally, they had the right to pursue Jian Luo, and whether he wanted a little Pixiu or a little Phoenix, everyone was allowed to compete fairly and at the end of the day, it was up to him.

Lu Shifeng sat lazily on the chair, pretending that he didn’t understand what Nie Yan meant. The man said slowly, “Even if we are not partners now, that may not necessarily be the case in the future.”

“…”

The atmosphere was tense.

The little emperor coughed lightly, intending to extinguish the scent of the demon’s field: “This cub is very precious to the entirety of Dark Star and each of us is obliged to take good care of it.”

Zhan Wentai still had a cold expression on his face: “The fact that he has a special constitution cannot be kept secret from other people for long. He is a human being, and it is hard to prevent other people from blindly seeking out human males to give birth because of this.”

This point was really important.

Some people have been childless for too long, so when the good news has suddenly come out, anything could happen.

Everyone looked at each other.

The little emperor thought about it for a while: “Don’t worry about it. The doctor took Luoluo’s blood and the test showed that he was different from the men in Peace Paradise in all aspects. Being able to conceive should be related to the environment and diet. ‌It is a breakthrough.”

Lu Shifeng directly concluded: “There is no need to worry. According to official statistics in recent years, there have been cases of marriage between Dark Stars and human men, but the succession rate is still 0%. They should know it in their hearts as well.”

“Yes.” The little emperor was very rational about this: “After a while, we will find an opportunity to present it to the people that have a cub, which should be uplifting news to everyone.”

Everyone has reached a consensus on one point.

A meeting was held until dawn and it didn’t end until Jian Luo woke up. In the past, Jian Luo, who had to go to work at 8 o’clock, suddenly woke up.

The sky was bright outside, and the sun was about to shine on his arse too.

Jian Luo suddenly sat up and saw a coffin placed opposite him. His eyes widened, and before he could breath, he swore: “F-ck!”

The servants who had been waiting outside for a long time were shocked.

“Knock knock knock.”

There was a knock on the door.

Jian Luo looked at the door: “Who is it?”

“Hello Lord, we are taking care of you.” The attendant’s voice was warm: “Are you awake, we will be serving you for your bath.”

“…”

‌Where was he?

Jian Luo’s memory ended the moment he fell asleep in the car, so he was completely unclear about the current situation.

He got out of bed carefully: “Come in.”

As soon as he said it, the others rushed in. Because Jian Luo was alone, he was rushed in from both sides as they stood in a line. There were too many of them to count.

The first woman in a maid outfit bowed: “Please let me change your clothes.”

After she said that, she came over. Jian Luo hurriedly ducked before she was about to touch him: “I don’t need it. I’m able to dress myself, I’m pregnant but not dead.”

“…”

The eyes of the others looking at Jian Luo were very complicated.

On the one hand, she thought it was great that he had a cub, but on the other hand, the elegant vampire felt that his manners were too bad. What about good prenatal education? Won’t the cub grow up crooked?

To Jian Luo, the most important thing was: “Where is the Marshal? I’m late for work, can you tell me where the nearest station is?”

While talking, Jian Luo was looking for the bathroom everywhere and he almost tripped over the carpet on the ground in the middle. He didn’t feel anything, but all the servants had their brows raised!

The maid quickly said, “What are you looking for? Can I help you?”

Jian Luo said, “Where is the bathroom? I’m going to take a shower.”

“On the left.” The maid pointed him in the direction and added, “You don’t have to worry. It’s okay to be late, just take your time.”

Jian Luo was still thinking about the attendance award, so he perfunctoryly replied: “I see.”

The maid was afraid that he would fall in a hurry, so she quickly followed behind and said, “You don’t have to go to the station. The marshal will take you there personally, if you want to go.”

“He?” Jian Luo panicked when he thought of Lu Shifeng, that dog man, and simply said, “Forget it, I don’t want him.”

“…”

The room was suddenly silent.

Jian Luo felt a little strange and turned around: “Why aren’t you saying anything…”

As soon as he turned around, he saw the man standing at the door. Lu Shifeng was wearing a military uniform and his posture was straight and tall. He looked at Jian Luo and squinted: “Then, who do you want?”

(Vol.2) Chapter 4 – Xue Qing, you crow mouth!

Chapter 4 – Xue Qing, you crow mouth1Someone who cannot say something nice. It’s even worse, when what they’ve said comes true.!

Xing Zhongwan buried Uncle Zhong’s ashes under the peach tree in the yard. This is what he has always wanted. To live his life in the Xing family. Even after he has died, he still did not want to leave the land he has guarded all his life.

Xing Zhongwan didn’t manage to see the old man for one last time. When he arrived, Uncle Zhong had already passed away. Xing Zhongwan held the funeral of the old man quietly. This old house in Jiangnan has lost its last guardian.

Xing Zhongwan planned to donate the house. When inventorying the old objects, Xing Zhongwan found that there was a yard that had been repaired and was still very new.

“Sir, this yard was struck by lightning last year and more than half of it was burned. Later, someone contacted the experts from the Cultural Relics Protection Association to come and repair it.”

After circling the compound, Xing Zhongwan asked “Do you know who contacted them?”

“I don’t know, I just heard Uncle Zhong mention it by accident. I think his surname was Qi. That gentleman comes to stay for a while every year around the beginning of summer.”

Xing Zhongwan didn’t respond, “I don’t plan to stay in this house anymore. You have worked hard here for so many years. I will make good arrangements for your future life.”

The old servant bowed towards Xing Zhongwan before slowly backing away.

Xing Zhongwan went around his yard and entered the back room. The furnishings were still familiar, along with the familiar smell. He approached the bed and stretched out his hand towards the familiar doll that was still there.

Xing Zhongwan smiled and held it in his hand. It was something his mother made for him. Xing Zhongwan tapped the doll’s forehead, “Come with me too.”

Just as he was about to get up, he found a small note falling out of the small pocket of the doll’s skirt. Xing Zhongwan picked it up.

Life is like a March flower, I will spend my whole life thinking about it.2The flowers that blossom in the spring are fleeting and temporary. But ‘I”, as in, Qi Yun will spend his whole life thinking about it.

Qi Yun is not thinking about flowers. He is referring to the moments that he and Zhongwan shared.

These vigorous and prominent strokes… Xing Zhongwan had seen it before during that absurd farce. At that time, those pale and thin hands solemnly signed their name on the marriage application form.

Why bother? Xing Zhongwan smiled and shredded the note in his hand. It was raining heavily outside when Xing Zhongwan opened the window. As he reached out, the fragments fell on the bluestone slab like snowflakes, before being washed away by the strong wind and rain.

Xing Zhongwan closed the window as his phone rang.

“Laoxing, there is a reception the day after tomorrow. I don’t have time to attend, because I have to go back quickly. Will you go for me?”

Xing Zhongwan refused without thinking, “Just invest money in Qingyuan. I don’t care about other things. I’m going to the Xing family tomorrow.”

Xue Qing was annoyed, “I’m asking you. Qingyuan is your property, right? You’ve been an investor for so many years. Didn’t we discuss this? If you want to see lions, go to see the lions. If you feed pigeons, go to feed the pigeons. It’s been half a year, we’ve already discussed this. I’m so bitter that I’m not married yet. I’m so bitter. What did I do in my last life to know you, such an unconscionable person.”

Xing Zhongwan felt a chill on his back, “Aiya, I’ll go. Even if I go, it won’t succeed anyway, right? Laoniang, please don’t fake cry. When you cry, I feel like the souls of the century-old ghosts in this old house will come out.”

Xue Qing sighed, expressing disdain, “Don’t worry. Zhong Gang and Emma are here. Taking advantage of this opportunity is a good time to draw other contacts if you can show your face.”

Xing Zhongwan yawned, “Show what face? The official person in charge of Qingyuan is not me.”

Xue Qing’s voice became shrill in seconds, “Hey, there is nothing that you can’t solve with your face. For the sake of expansion, you’re the ardent hope of all Qingyuan employees. Big boss, go and sell your face!”

The corners of Xing Zhongwan’s mouth twitched, as he hung up the phone angrily.

After Qi Yun had a meeting, the secretary knocked on the door and came in, “There is a reception tonight, will you be attending?”

Qi Yun flipped through the documents in his hand indifferently, neither agreeing nor refusing.

The secretary has always been very afraid of Qi Yun. He climbed to his current position in his early thirties, while he himself was an old man in his fifties and sixties.

Qi Yun has come this far, not only because of his family background. A chill ran down the secretary’s back when he thought of the tactics he used. This man was someone who could throw his own mother in a nursing home and leave her there alone. He was also someone who did not attend the funeral of his own younger brother when he died. Although it was because of his status, few people have dared to mention this in front of him. However private speculations never did diminish.

The abandoned blind and disabled son, Qi Yun had too many labels on his person. It was a miracle that he could stand up again. After his recovery, there was a big change in the Qi family.

Everyone in Mingli said that he killed his relatives definitively, however, the person in private didn’t seem too cold-blooded or ruthless. Qi Zongcheng was now paralyzed at home and semi-retired, so Qi Yun was already a veritable ruler of the Qi family.

“Young Master Shen may not be able to hold his own for today’s event, so please be sure to attend. The other party seems to be coming over.”

Qi Yun paused while holding the pen in his hand, “Prepare the clothes.”

The secretary breathed a sigh of relief and went out to give a call to the people from the Shen family. When they heard Qi Yun had agreed, the Shen family was relieved. Although Qi Yun took over the Shen family, Qi Yun rarely took care of the business of the Shen family and a professional manager was hired. Fortunately, the Shen family had a brilliant management staff. The group of high-level executives were all Shen Qinghong’s confidants. Although they had some criticisms about Qi Yun, he was still the blood of the Shen family. As their power gradually increased, this group of old men were more refined than foxes, so naturally they hugged Qi Yun’s thigh3To hug a thigh – Hold onto a powerful person in power/ be loyal to them. tightly.

Xing Zhongwan went back to the Xing family. Not to the cemetery, but to the ancestral hall. There were too many spies in the cemetery. The Xing family ancestral hall is different as not everyone could enter.

Xing Zhongwan lit the incense and respectfully kowtowed to his mother and grandfather. When Xing Zhongwan went out, he happened to meet Xing Zhengping who came in a hurry.

Xing Zhongwan said hello to him, “No one stopped me at the door when I came. You must’ve ordered it, thank you.”

Xing Zhengping frowned, “Qi Yun has come here for you many times.”

Xing Zhongwan nodded carelessly, “According to my current intel. You didn’t tell him about my whereabouts.”

Xing Zhengping looked at him and hesitated, “Since you’re here, you can leave after dinner.”

Xing Zhongwan looked at his watch, “Forget it, I have some bad memories of this house. There is a recent project in Qingyuan. You can take a look and invest in it when you have time.”

Xing Zhengping frowned, “The money you send every year is equivalent to three years of the company’s profit.”

Xing Zhongwan laughed, “It’s all spare money, keep it. In the future, when Xing Zhongjie gets married, give her a thick dowry. With her temper, who would dare to marry her without such a large amount of money?”

Xing Zhengping looked at Xing Zhongwan’s condescending appearance and his heart that wanted to have a proper conversation suddenly became angry, “Can’t you speak more politely?.”

“I wasn’t the one who started talking. It was you who came here.” Xing Zhengping was speechless.

Xing Zhongwan was about to go out when he was stopped by Xing Zhengping, “Remember to come back for your mother’s 50th birthday.”

Xing Zhongwan, who was about to step out, paused before exiting the ancestral hall without answering.

Shen Congxin straightened his bow tie uneasily. He couldn’t talk to the person in charge of Qingyuan in the morning forum, or to be precise, he didn’t even manage to meet with him face-to-face. He was a little anxious thinking of the evening reception. No matter how cheeky he had to be, he was going to go up to ask for a business card.

‘Big cousin, it would be great if you were here, so I could use your name to show off your prestige.’ Shen Congxin sighed for the 25th time when the assistant behind him, who had been following Shen Qinghong in the early years, was now ordered by Qi Yun to attend and ‘babysit’.

“Vice-president, please mind your manners.”

Shen Congxin stood up straight immediately. This baby’s heart felt bitter, but he couldn’t say anything about it.

Before getting out of the car, Xing Zhongwan brushed his hair and found a pair of gold-rimmed glasses to wear. Beside him, Emma’s eyes still looked straight ahead. Even after looking at this face for so many years, it still made one’s heart beat faster.

The two got out of the car when someone walked over quickly and stopped in front of Xing Zhongwan, before greeting him as the boss very politely.

Xing Zhongwan looked at the handsome man standing in front of him and nodded with satisfaction, “Zhong Gang, it’s been a long time. Are your abs still there?

Zhong Gang was about to lift his shirt immediately, but was stopped by Xing Zhongwan, “You are still not good at jokes. You are so straight, unlike the people in the head office.”

Emma quickly looked aside, pretending to not know what he just said.

“In the future, Emma will follow you. Teach her more, I’ll be watching you both well.”

Xing Zhongwan smiled as Zhong Gang’s masculine face showed a rare tenderness, “I hope the boss can fulfill his promise and when the branch is successfully established, transfer me back to the head office.”

Xing Zhongwan patted him on the shoulder, “I will give you two years based on your performance. As long as you can make this company the top ten in the industry, I will transfer you back. Emma is very capable and she can share a lot with you.”

Zhong Gang followed Xing Zhong to the elevator knowingly, “Why did the boss come here in person this time?”

Xing Zhongwan grimaced, “I was forced by Xue Qing to show my face. I don’t know what she was thinking, since you are the official person in charge of Qingyuan and the big boss behind the scenes has always been kept a secret. The woman must’ve gone crazy, saying that the big boss must attend today because there will be a lot of people to come network with me, that it’s my chance to make some contacts for this new company. Why does she have to worry about your connections? Ai, it’s not the first day she’s been trying to get you into drag. You can figure the rest out yourself.”

Although Emma really doesn’t want to purposely eavesdrop on her superiors gossiping, but… it didn’t count if they entered her ears on their own accord, right?

Zhong Gang glanced at Xing Zhongwan with a serious face, “Boss, you should be very clear about my intentions.”

Xing Zhongwan also had a serious face, “Don’t even think about it. Cheng Zhengzhe is a man as straight as steel. He will not become bent.”

Emma unconsciously stepped back in the small space. She suddenly knew too much and was dying quickly!

Zhong Gang’s face sank but soon returned to normal, “Is the boss going to come forward later?”

Xing Zhongwan put on his cufflinks with disgust on his face, “How is that possible? I’ll stay in a corner later. Come find me when you’re both done. Xue Qing has been holding a grudge for a long time. I have squeezed her for so many years and not given her a good holiday. She knows that I do not like this kind of occasion. Zhong Gang, please accept and marry her soon, so that my life can be better.”

Zhong Gang sullenly said, “Boss, I was born bent4gay.”

Zhong Gang and Emma went to socialize as Xing Zhongwan picked a quiet corner and started to use his mobile phone in obscurity.

“I have tried my best. You should replace your target.”

“It’s fun to make the impossible possible.”

“How can someone gay be with you? If you do something to make such a good employee toss me away, I will tear you apart!”

“Don’t worry, Zhong Gang won’t want to leave anymore after a day or two when he misses that sissy.”

“There’s something wrong with this situation. Explain it to me from the beginning…”

“Ai, that sissy bribed me to lead Zhong Gang away. I already took his money, so I have to do it well.”

“That Lao Cheng’s brain was eaten by a dog. Making you seduce gays. I don’t understand both of your thoughts. Let’s just stop talking.”

“Hey, wait. Qi Yun won’t come on such an important occasion today right? The Shen family is under his name after all. You should try to hide so you don’t get caught by him.”

Xing Zhongwan stabbed the screen of his phone viciously, “How is this possible…?”

Before he could finish typing, there was a commotion at the door. Xing Zhongwan raised his head as a group of people came in from the door. He could feel the presence of the man in a black suit standing in the middle after just a glance, even from such a distance.

Xing Zhongwan pocketed his phone before swearing, Xue Qing, you crow mouth!

T/N: Ahahaha!! My mom used to tell me to stop my crow mouth when I was younger, cos I’d just always say what was on my mind. But I mean, there’s nothing wrong with sharing your thoughts… right?  Caw caw  ˏ₍•ɞ•₎ˎ
