Chapter 41

The slender fingers that entered his body were like dexterous snakes, twisting and turning inside his body, going deeper and deeper. Then came the second one, and then the third one. The sphincter gradually opened as it continued to expand, adapting to the shape of the intruder. The originally tight corridor was also stretched open, getting used to every thrust and withdrawal of the other. The body began to feel thirsty during such conditioning as it ignited little bits of desire, burning under the skin and spreading to every inch.

       Want, more.

The brain shut down all functions used for rational thinking, leaving only a body succumbing to carnal desires.

Thinking of nothing, caring for nothing, only following the commands of that man, feeling his presence, and accepting his possession. Only that person could induce the most primitive animal nature in his body, only that person could let him completely surrender himself, and only that person could save him from the monstrous flames of this prairie fire and give him final relief.

That was the only person he could trust with his life and trust wholeheartedly.

Under Chu Yichen’s manipulation, all the senses in Chu Yunhan’s body seemed to have awakened, becoming extremely sensitive. When the man’s fingertips touched the sensitive spot on the inner wall, he began to moan.

The sound of his ‘aahn’ was soft and wavering, ringing non-stop in the basement, intensifying desire’s catalysis. Soon, he fell into the tide of desire. His legs became weak, and his hands began to lose strength. His muscles became stiff, but he managed to maintain his posture. When the expansion was over and the thick di-do with lubricant was slowly pushed in, he groaned and shuddered. If his genitals were not tightly restrained by Chu Yichen’s hand, he would have ejaculated.

“Stand up.” The man ordered as the di-do was pushed to its deepest point.

Chu Yunhan obeyed with difficulty, his movements slow and clumsy. The di-do buried deep in his back hole changed angle as it moved, squeezing the glands, sometimes lightly and sometimes hard. It felt tingling and numbing as if he were roasting himself over a fire, half-cooked, and wishing he could add a handful of wood to the stove, pour a jug of wine on it and just burn himself through.

When he fully straightened up, he realised that his waist was sore and aching. The lying action just now put too much pressure on the waist, and Chu Yichen has obviously taken this into consideration. As an excellent dom, one must not only consider the physical load on the sub but also control the rhythm. The man who knew this well took a restraint and fastened it on his c0ck. Only then did Chu Yunhan discover that there was a hidden opening in the front part of the thong. After opening the small zipper, the c0ck could be completely exposed.

What a pervert… Designing something like this… What’s the difference between wearing this and not wearing it…

       He cursed secretly.

In fact, there was still a difference. In addition to adding fun, this kind of underwear also has a rope-binding effect, which could adjust the tightness and increase friction, giving the sub a feeling of being restrained.

However, Chu Yunhan had no time to think about this now. His attention was drawn to what the man was putting on his c0ck.

This restraint consisted of three interlocking leather loops connected to each other. The front one was fastened into a groove under the umbrella-shaped shaft, which could be tightened to keep his desire securely inside his body. A metal wire was also hanging from the leather ring, from which hung a bell pendant. He was just wondering why the bell was made in such a shape when he saw Chu Yichen add two small silver balls the size of a quail’s egg on the thin line hanging from the bell, not knowing what material it was made of. It was small but quite heavy, and it directly dropped the originally raised c0ck downwards, like a tree branch bent by a fruit.

Chu Yichen squatted down and carefully adjusted the leather band. Seeing Chu Yunhan frowning, he asked, “Does it hurt?”

He shook his head and saw the c0ck between his legs that was stretched so hard that he could hardly lift his head. He said pitifully, “It feels a bit uncomfortable… Master, can you not use this…”

The man curled his lips, shook the two remaining balls in his hand and said, “Want to add another one?”

“…I was wrong.” Chu Yunhan took a long breath of resignation and became obedient.

Next, Chu Yichen put a blindfold on him.

The world suddenly turned into a void of darkness. All the objects used to determine the direction no longer existed, and everything became unknown and difficult to perceive. He was a little anxious and called out, “Master?”

“I’m here.” The man stroked the side of his face, and his warm and dry palm became his connection with the world, calming him down.

“Slave, tell me why your body is so excited?”

“…I don’t know.” His cheeks were slightly red.

“You will be punished for lying.” Chu Yichen’s deliberately lowered voice was like a cello with a subtle sex appeal. Especially when it was for teasing and flirting, and Chu Yunhan couldn’t resist at all. The man’s hand rubbed his chest, making the two small bulges that were tightly wrapped in the material more erect, “Do you like me touching you?”

“…I like it.” He pursed his lips and replied softly.

       “How about this?”

Before he finished speaking, his nipples were pinched and pulled hard, causing Chu Yunhan to hum. His chest felt ached and tingled, and there was also a slight itching from the friction, which made him take a long breath unbearably and reply tremblingly, “I like it.” Then he added, “As long as Master likes it, I will like it too.”

A chuckle fell gently like a feather on the water, breaking the calm and making waves. “It makes me happy that you’ve been so good.” The man stroked his Adam’s apple and said, “I’ll reward you. What do you want?”

Chu Yunhan, already aroused and hungry, blurted out, “Hold me, please…”

“Hold you, like this?” The tone was flirtatious.

Then he felt a tightening around his waist and an arm half wrapped around him, hugging him. Chu Yunhan pursed his lips and whispered, “Not like this…”

       “What do you want then?”

This was clearly forcing him to say it himself. Chu Yunhan’s face was burning red, so embarrassed that his head felt like it was about to burst from the rush of blood. Finally, he managed to squeeze out a few words, sounding as faint as a mosquito’s buzz, “Please…fvck me…”

As soon as the words came out, the anal opening behind him was pressed, and the di-do clamped in the tunnel suddenly hit the gland hard. A burst of electric-like pleasure flew through the body, and he said, ‘Ah-nhg’ He couldn’t help but shudder as he made a sound, and the erect c0ck between his legs was stimulated to the point of secreting clear pre-cum.

There was a smile in the man’s voice as he said, “Your bottom mouth is full. How can I use it?”

The feeling of burning with desire but not getting what she asked for made Chu Yunhan go crazy. He gasped softly, “Spare me, I can’t stand it anymore…”

“Slave, if you can walk from here to my room without anything inside falling out, I will satisfy you.”

Hearing these words, he almost cried and called out sadly, “Master…” Before he could beg for mercy, his lips were covered. Chu Yichen kissed him gently, put a leash on his collar, and said, “I will hold you and always be by your side.”

The Master’s order cannot be violated, and…this kiss and these words were so gentle that they could kill him. Trapped in this tender web, Chu Yunhan sighed inwardly, forced himself to tighten his hole to hold the thick di-do, and replied resignedly, “Understood, Master.”

The walk from the basement to Chu Yichen’s room was not long, and he was familiar with this place. He thought that even if he were blindfolded and had a di-do inserted, he would be able to reach his destination accurately and quickly.

Only when he really started walking did he realise how naive he was.

He didn’t know what skills other doms had, but Chu Yichen’s methods and tricks really made people want to die and couldn’t stop.

Although Chu Yunhan knew that he would not meet anyone else along the way, he still instinctively felt ashamed when he walked out of the room dressed like this. The di-do inserted in his back hole was rubbing and grinding inside the body while walking, constantly bullying the poor flesh walls and glands, making him rise and fall on the waves of desire. What he didn’t expect was that the most tormenting thing was the little things hanging on the front of his c0ck. The small ball hanging on the thread would sway back and forth due to the swing of the body, and his c0ck would tremble and tremble as it was pulled on it. Soon, it would enter a fully erect state, but the ring would tightly restrain it, and he couldn’t ejaculate even half of it.

Chu Yunhan was walking and stopping; his tense body was trembling all the way. He knew very well that this kind of physical abuse was part of BDSM, and he knew very well that Chu Yichen was controlling the rhythm so that he wouldn’t end things prematurely by getting too excited. So even though it was hard, he persisted. This kind of obedience never comes from coercion, never comes from passivity, but from his own choice.

Now he understood the meaning of the sentence, ‘The Master’s rights come from the slave’s giving’. He chose to obey because in such a game, he wanted to let the other person get the same pleasure and make the other person happy.

When going upstairs, the di-do slipped out a little after relaxing once. Chu Yunhan called out in panic, “Master…”

“I’m here.” The man responded to him almost instantly, caressing his hair, and said softly, “Slave, you did a good job. There is still one more step. Can you hold on?”

He nodded. He grabbed the handrail of the stairs and continued upward in the direction of the traction rope. Finally, when he walked up the last step, he couldn’t help but whimper and arch his body slightly, and the thing tightly clamped in his body slipped to the ground. Before the depressed and plaintive ‘I was wrong’ could be said, the body was picked up from the waist and laid on the man’s shoulder.

       “Master!” He was surprised.

Chu Yichen didn’t say anything but hugged him and quickly walked into the room, then threw him on the bed, covered him and pressed him down, his slightly hoarse voice tinged with lust. “Slave, spread your legs. It’s my turn to satisfy you.”

Chapter 92

Pei Qing obviously didn’t expect to see Pei Jingrong at this time, and he subconsciously called out, “Dad?”

Pei Jingrong’s eyes first fell on Zhan Weiyang’s face beside him and then looked at their hands that were still clasped together.

The elevator door opened and was about to close. Pei Jingrong quickly stretched out his hand to open the door and walked out. He stood in front of the two people with his tall body and asked, “Why is Yangyang here? Where are you going so early in the morning?”

Zhan Weiyang stared at him blankly and didn’t even remember what to say.

Pei Qing, on the other hand, asked, “Why are you here?”

Pei Jingrong looked unhappy and said in a low voice, “I came to see you.” Seeing that Pei Qing was still looking at him, he added, “I arrived last night. I had a meeting this morning, and I came here specially while it was still early.”

Some time ago, Zhan Yingfei contacted Pei Qing to ask for his current address, and Pei Qing knew to tell Zhan Yingfei. Zhan Yingfei said that she would come to see Pei Qing when she was free the next time, but unexpectedly, Pei Jingrong came first.

Pei Jingrong asked again, “Where are you going so early?”

Pei Qing said, “I’m taking Yangyang home.”

Pei Jingrong looked at their hands, “Did Yangyang sleep here last night?”

       Pei Qing replied, “Yes.”

Pei Jingrong was much more sensitive than Zhan Pengcheng, and he had always had some thoughts about the fact that Pei Qing was popular with girls but had never been in a relationship until he graduated from college. He was somewhat suspicious at this time. Regardless of whether Zhan Weiyang intelligence was normal or not, he was a beautiful boy of 17 or 18 years old after all. Pei Qing holding hands with him outside was inappropriate in Pei Jingrong’s opinion.

He then asked Zhan Weiyang, “Does Yangyang often stay overnight here?”

Although Pei Jingrong’s tone was gentle, Zhan Weiyang always felt that something was not quite right, and instead of answering, he looked to Pei Qing for help.

Pei Qing said to Pei Jingrong, “You can ask me anything you want to ask; don’t test Yangyang.”

Pei Jingrong’s face darkened when he heard his words, “What do you mean by testing? What do you think I am testing?”

Zhan Weiyang held Pei Qing’s hand tightly with some fear.

Pei Qing said, “Dad, don’t be angry, you scared Yangyang.”

Pei Jingrong took a deep breath and suppressed his anger.

Pei Qing said, “I will send Yangyang back now. Do you want to go with us?”

Pei Jingrong said, “I have a meeting later.”

Pei Qing reached out and pressed the elevator, “Then, after you finish the meeting, if you are still interested, you can contact me.”

The elevator door opened again, and Pei Qing took Zhan Weiyang’s hand and went in.

Zhan Weiyang carefully hid behind Pei Qing, looking at Pei Jingrong over Pei Qing’s shoulder.

Pei Jingrong also came into the elevator. As the elevator descended, he said, “Pei Qing, you are already an adult. You know what’s going on with Zhan Weiyang.”

At this time, Zhan Weiyang couldn’t help but whisper, “I am also an adult.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Pei Jingrong looked at him. He felt that Pei Jingrong was particularly fierce. He was a little scared but insisted, “I am not an idiot either.”

Pei Qing suddenly turned his head to look at Zhan Weiyang. He raised his hand to hug Zhan Weiyang, patted him on the back, and said, “Of course you are not.”

When the elevator door opened, Pei Jingrong walked out. He turned around and said to Pei Qing, “I will come to see you in the afternoon.”

       Pei Qing nodded calmly.

They arrived at the Zhan family quite early. Zhan Pengcheng had just gotten up and didn’t want to wake up Zhan Weiyang. He went downstairs alone to eat breakfast and then arranged the flowers and plants on the balcony on the second floor.

When Pei Qing and Zhan Weiyang returned, Zhan Pengcheng saw them from a distance. He was stunned at first, but when he realised that the person was Zhan Weiyang, he could not suppress his anger.

When Pei Qing rang the doorbell, Auntie Luo came out of the kitchen in a hurry to open the door, but Zhan Pengcheng had already run down from the second floor.

He opened the door and punched Pei Qing in the face.

“Oh my!” Auntie Luo, who was following Zhan Pengcheng, screamed in fear and raised her hand to cover her mouth.

Zhan Weiyang also pulled Pei Qing away in panic and stood in front of him, shouting, “Dad is crazy!”

Zhan Pengcheng said angrily, “Dad is not crazy!  It’s this bastard boy that I’m beating that’s crazy!”

Pei Qing’s cheek soon became red and swollen. He opened his mouth, blood flowed from the corner of his mouth, and he also spit out a bloody tooth.

Zhan Pengcheng’s punch was merciless and directly knocked out one of Pei Qing’s teeth.

“When did you take Yangyang out?” Zhan Pengcheng asked angrily.

Pei Qing opened his mouth, but no sound came out.

Zhan Weiyang said loudly, “I ran away secretly! I ran away alone!”

At this time, Grandma was startled, and she walked out tremblingly from inside, holding the wall, looking around and asked, “What’s the matter?” After asking, she saw the blood at the corner of Pei Qing’s mouth and the teeth on the ground, and said in panic, “What’s wrong with xiao Qing?”

Pei Qing comforted her in an unclear voice, “It’s okay, grandma.”

Zhan Weiyang squatted down, picked up Pei Qing’s bloody teeth on the ground with his hands, and stood up sadly to look at Pei Qing.

Pei Qing touched his head and said, “It’s nothing, don’t be afraid.”

Zhan Pengcheng’s anger finally subsided a little at this time. He also looked at the tooth in Zhan Weiyang’s hand, then Pei Qing’s red and swollen face, and said, “Let’s go to the hospital first.”

Pei Qing said, “It doesn’t matter. It’s already fallen out anyway. There’s no rush.”

Zhan Pengcheng stretched out his hand to Zhan Weiyang, “Yangyang, come back.”

Zhan Weiyang stepped back and stood behind Pei Qing, lowering his eyes and not looking at Zhan Pengcheng.

Pei Qing asked Zhan Pengcheng, “Can we talk, Uncle?”

Zhan Pengcheng didn’t answer. He was looking at Pei Qing, but his eyes suddenly looked over Pei Qing’s shoulder and into the distance.

Pei Qing and Zhan Weiyang turned their heads at the same time and saw Pei Jingrong, who was dressed in a suit and leather shoes, walking towards them.

No one knew why Pei Jingrong, who should have been in a meeting, suddenly appeared here.

Zhan Weiyang felt even more nervous and looked up at Pei Qing. Pei Qing leaned close to his ear and whispered, “Don’t be afraid; gege is here.”

Zhan Weiguang was awakened by the noise downstairs early in the morning. He pulled the quilt over his head and didn’t want to get up, but he heard Zhan Weiyang shouting. He couldn’t help but get out of bed. He first leaned over to the window and took a look. He didn’t see anyone, so he changed his clothes and went down from the third floor.

When he walked to the first floor, he saw that the sofa in the living room was full of people. In addition to Zhan Pengcheng and Grandma, Pei Qing and Zhan Weiyang were also there, and there was a tall man. Zhan Weiguang saw the back at first and couldn’t recognise who it was until he walked to the side and found that it was Pei Jingrong.

       When did Pei Jingrong come?

Zhan Weiguang was startled and subconsciously looked at Pei Qing and Zhan Weiyang.

The atmosphere in the living room was very solemn. No one spoke. Zhan Weiguang came down late and didn’t know what they had talked before.

At this time, Pei Jingrong stood up, walked to Pei Qing, and asked, “Is what your uncle said just now true?”

Pei Qing looked up at him, “It’s true.”

Pei Jingrong saw his red and swollen cheek and asked, “Did your uncle hit you?”

       Pei Qing nodded.

Hearing this, Pei Jingrong suddenly raised his fist and hit Pei Qing hard on the other cheek, then said, “That was an excellent punch!”

Chapter 40

In the end, nothing happened that night.

Ever since Chu Yunhan witnessed the terrifying episodes with his own eyes, he was particularly afraid of Chu Yichenoverworking himself. The two kissed and hugged each other and finally fell asleep hugging each other on the same bed. When he woke up, he found himself clinging to Chu Yichen like a stubborn adhesive plaster, practically pushing the man to the edge of the bed. Yet, the man had let him hold on like that, lying sideways precariously at the bed’s edge.

He let go of his hand and shrank to the side in embarrassment, saying, “Have you been awake for a while?”

       “Just woke up.”

“I have this habit of holding onto something when I sleep…” It was a habit formed after his father passed away. Life had suddenly become lonely, cold, and devoid of a sense of security. If he slept alone, he would hug a pillow; if he shared a bed with someone, he would cling to them. Knowing that Chu Yichen was used to sleeping alone, he hesitated for a moment before offering, “If you’re not comfortable with it, I can go back to my room…”

“I’ll get used to it. We have plenty of time to get used to each other.”

       You and I, a lifetime.

Chu Yunhan suddenly remembered the confessions he had made. His face turned red, and he quickly changed the subject, “What time is it? Shouldn’t we be heading to work?”

“Seven-thirty,” Chu Yichen said, “What’s on your schedule today?”

“I’m going to see Zhang Fei in the morning to discuss that Blue Ocean acquisition case he mentioned last time. I’m quite interested and want to see if we can get a share of it. At noon, I’m having lunch with Tang Shaochen. The logistics costs are too high, and I want to negotiate a price reduction. In the afternoon, I will be playing golf with Lu Yao and Zhou Hua. They said they want to introduce me to the China regional president of AL Group. Nothing planned for the evening so far.”

“Okay, I’ll be back early tonight.”

Chu Yunhan was stunned for a moment and suddenly understood the meaning of these words. His face immediately flushed a deeper red, and he murmured a soft ‘Oh’.

“Try not to drink alcohol at noon.”

       “En.”

“Don’t get too close to him.” This ‘him’ obviously referred to Tang Shaochen. Chu Yichen was well aware that back when Chu Yunhan had hidden his identity to work as a waiter at Lihao, Tang Shaochen had relentlessly pursued him.

He laughed and joked, “If I get along with him, what will you do?”

“I wouldn’t be able to do anything. Tying you down would only make you resent me, and killing him would make you upset. I have no way to deal with you.” SComing from Chu Yichen, those words seemed to carry both helpless resignation and indulgent affection, spoken with a quiet, tender sincerity.

Chu Yunhan felt that he had absolutely no resistance left against this man. A simple sentence was enough to soften his heart into a puddle. Blushing, he whispered, “I’ll… come back early tonight too.”

Although their styles differ, in essence, the two brothers of the Chu family are both workaholics. The difference lay in how they came to be: Chu Yichen was molded into one through training, while Chu Yunhan’s diligence came entirely from within. After learning about Chu Yichen’s health issues, Chu Yunhan always felt the need to shoulder more responsibilities for him. He learned as he worked, growing rapidly and transitioning from a manager’s role to that of a decision-maker. Making decisions was akin to playing chess: every move must be calculated to avoid regrets. Sometimes, an insignificant-seeming move could have profound long-term implications, and a single mistake could lead to total failure. In these moments, he gained a deeper appreciation for Chu Yichen’s burdens.

After a long day of hard work, all Chu Yunhan wanted was to spend an enjoyable, peaceful time with Chu Yichen—to let go of everything and entrust himself completely to the person he trusted most.

That evening, both of them came home early. They had dinner together, took a short walk, and then Chu Yunhan prepared himself by performing an enema. After showering, he pushed open the heavy basement door.

Chu Yichen stood in the center of the room, dressed in a tailored black military uniform. The high collar revealed a white shirt and a badge-adorned cravat, while his feet were clad in polished black riding boots. The precise fit of the uniform’s collar and cuffs exuded a restrained and austere allure, while the golden epaulettes, cufflinks, and dangling tassels added a subtle touch of opulence. The ornately designed hard belt around his waist highlighted his slender yet resilient frame, lending a hint of seduction. He held a riding crop with his gloved hand, a suggestive symbol of dominance and desire.

The ensemble amplified Chu Yichen’s naturally cold and brooding temperament, making it even more striking. His black eyes radiated a sharp, dangerous energy, like a blade gleaming in the moonlight—lethal yet irresistibly beautiful, drawing people to reach out and touch.

Chu Yunhan froze, staring dumbstruck, until the man’s voice broke his trance, “Slave, come here.” Startled back to his senses, Chu Yunhan quickly shed his outer robe and walked over to kneel before him.

“Master.” He straightened his back, put his hands behind his back, and maintained a standard kneeling posture. His bare body, exposed to the cool air, should have felt chilled from the loss of warmth, but the presence of the man before him ignited a restless desire, leaving him flushed and overheated.

Chu Yichen picked up something from the small table and threw it in front of him and said, “Put it on.”

Chu Yunhan picked up the items and shook them out, immediately feeling his face heat up. He glanced awkwardly at Chu Yichen before lowering his head to put them on.

The outfit was simple—two pieces, one for the upper body and one for the lower. The top was a tight-fitting vest, cropped just below the ribs, barely covering his chest. The bottom was a black thong with a waistband as thin as a pinky finger and a narrower strip running between his thighs. The spoon-shaped front barely contained his genitals, stretched taut against the material. The fabric was a peculiar blend—not too soft, not too stiff—and had a faint golden sheen. Once on, it clung snugly to his skin, stimulating him subtly with every movement. During the friction, he could feel that his nipples had become hard, and your lower body also felt strange. Wearing it made him feel more ashamed than not wearing it.

When he knelt down again, Chu Yichen fastened a gold collar around his neck, from which hung a badge matching the one on his uniform. The man’s gloved hand lifted his chin, his black eyes gleaming with an enigmatic, almost amused light. His deep voice carried an irresistible allure.

“You look beautiful tonight, my slave.”

When love arises between two people, all attraction and desire become two-way interactions. Chu Yunhan gazed at the man before him, feeling a heat rise within him. His throat dry, his mind blank, he blurted out, “You look beautiful too, my Master.” As soon as the words left his mouth, he realised his mistake and immediately felt a pang of guilt.

Chu Yichen was usually indulgent, letting him do as he pleased. But once they stepped into their BDSM dynamic and assumed their roles, there was no room for him to challenge his Master’s authority. Punishments were real and uncompromising. At this moment, speaking without permission—and so brazenly, no less—was undoubtedly grounds for discipline.

Chu Yichen raised an eyebrow, lightly stroking the riding crop in his hand, “It seems you haven’t been punished in a while. Getting itchy, are we?”

Just the sight of the crop made Chu Yunhan’s back tingle in anticipation. He quickly lowered his head and earnestly admitted his mistake. “I was wrong, Master.”

“Get down on the sofa.” He said in a commanding tone.

Chu Yunhan lay down obediently, waiting for punishment without saying a word. It was obviously a pain that he should hated, but for some reason, he felt an inexplicable excitement. Perhaps it was because the one administering the punishment was Chu Yichen. Imagining the man in his military uniform raising the whip against him, Chu Yunhan felt a restless yearning rise unbidden.

When did he become completely immersed in this relationship and unable to extricate himself?

Just when he was distracted, he received a heavy blow on his butt, which made him gasp in pain. The man’s displeased voice came over, “Lift your buttocks and count.”

He bit his lip, lowered his waist lower, and raised his butt like a puppy stretching to facilitate the whipping. When the whip came down, he trembled slightly and began to count aloud, “One. Master, I was wrong. Two. Master, I was wrong…”

It took ten strokes in total before it stopped. Five strokes on the left and five on the right, fair and reasonable. Both buttocks were numb with pain, and none was left untouched. The light red whip marks left on the fair skin were symmetrical and perfect. Just when he thought the punishment was over and breathed a sigh of relief, he suddenly received another slap on the butt. This time, just when his whole body was relaxing, it hit the left buttock that had just been reddened. It was particularly painful. He groaned in pain and called out sorrowfully, “Master…”

“Do you know why you were punished?”

He racked his brains for a while and couldn’t find the answer, so he had to answer, “I don’t know.”

“Because I want to.” Chu Yichen’s voice had a playful tone. “Keep in mind that you are my property and everything about you is at my disposal. I can treat you any way I like.” His fingers probed into her hips through a thin layer of gloves, slowly running between the cracks, intentionally or unintentionally skimming over by the secret hole hidden in it, tugging at the exposed underwear, rubbing against the small opening of the hole. After this period of time, that place had long been conditioned to be exceptionally sensitive. Chu Yunhan’s body tensed up at this kind of caress, and his legs trembled slightly as he opened his mouth, “I remember, Master. “

As a slave, he was showing submission to his master. Just like a downed wolf, it spreads its body on its back, exposing its most vulnerable neck and abdomen to the stronger leader to show submission. As soon as he finished speaking, he felt something pressing against the small hole, pressing it tightly and loosely as if he was looking for a suitable time to invade, but it seemed like it was just a playful tease. Chu Yunhan didn’t dare to move at all. He raised his buttocks high and allowed the other party to ravage him in the most secret place.

“Want me to go in?” the man asked.

“This body belongs to you…as long as you are happy…you can do whatever you want…” He said intermittently, his face turned red, and he even closed his eyes in shame.

“Very good.” The man behind seemed to chuckle and said, “Expose your little hole so I can see clearly.”

Chu Yunhan buried his face on the sofa in a panic, and moved his hands back to spread his buttocks from the sides, revealing the tender red back hole that was half-hidden under the thong.

Chu Yichen used his fingers to press the tight hole lightly and heavily and said, “Don’t let go without my order.”

“…Yes, Master.” He responded resignedly, and the force on his hand became heavier. The punished buttocks were now being gripped hard again; pain and numbness were all wrapped up in one place, stinging as if they were being stabbed with tiny needles. The humiliating position he held and the erotic suggestions he received constantly stimulated his brain, making his entire body flush with lust.

Then, the fingers that had been lingering outside finally reached in. The gloves were removed, and the hot tunnel quickly warmed the lubricant covering the fingers. The invasion was forceful, but also gentle, opening up the tight corridor bit by bit, and entering deeper into the tight hole. The feeling of being penetrated was so clear that Chu Yunhan’s tight legs couldn’t help but tremble, and his hole instinctively contracted to repel foreign objects.

       ‘Pats’

Chu Yunhan received another slap on the butt, and the man said in a deep voice, “Relax.”

He pursed his lips and forced himself to adapt. Normally, he would be a little nervous when having sex between the two of them, but today, it was even worse. Whenever he thought about what would happen later, his whole body would be on fire. He was nervous and excited at the same time, and he couldn’t calm down at all. The front part of the c0ck also tilted up unconsciously.

Chapter 91

Zhan Weiyang lay motionless on the bed. He didn’t fall asleep, but he just didn’t want to move. After a long time, he heard no movement outside. Maybe even Zhan Pengcheng had gone back to his room to sleep. He slowly raised his head, moved his body, stuck his head out of the bed, and took a look at the cake on the floor.

The cake was not big; it was placed in a box, tied with a ribbon outside, and tied with a knot on the top.

Zhan Weiyang looked at the time. It was precisely eleven at night, and only one hour was left before his eighteenth birthday.

Thinking of the last hour, Zhan Weiyang suddenly became emotional. He got up from the bed, changed his clothes and put on socks in a hurry, put his keys and mobile phone in his trouser pockets, picked up the cake on the floor, and walked out stealthily.

He turned off the lights in his room, closed the door very gently, and didn’t turn on the lights in the corridor. He touched the wall and went downstairs timidly.

After sneaking out of the house, Zhan Weiyang carried the cake and walked out of the neighbourhood while calling a taxi with his mobile phone.

When he came out of the neighbourhood gate, he saw that the taxi had stopped by the roadside. He hurried over, opened the door, got in the car, and told the driver Pei Qing’s address.

Pei Qing sent a WeChat message to Zhan Weiyang more than an hour ago, asking him if he was okay now, but Zhan Weiyang did not answer. At that time, Pei Qing hesitated whether to call Zhan Weiyang but was afraid that Zhan Pengcheng would be watching Zhan Weiyang, so he looked at the phone number but still did not dial it.

He usually slept at this time, but today, his mood was really complicated. Pei Qing took a shower and lay on the bed, and he couldn’t fall asleep at all.

Zhan Pengcheng’s reaction was actually better than he had anticipated. He had expected more intense blame or even to be hit, but none of that happened. Perhaps Zhan Pengcheng was mindful of the fact that they were in a public place.

Now that it had begun, it became easier to continue. Pei Qing thought to himself that he must make time to go to Zhan’s house again tomorrow.

Even if Zhan Pengcheng didn’t want to see him, he had to go see Zhan Weiyang so that Zhan Weiyang wouldn’t have wild thoughts at home.

With the weak light shining into the room from the window, Pei Qing looked at the outline of the room, thinking idly that he would still have to buy a house in a few years. It didn’t need to be too big; after all, he and Zhan Weiyang would live together, but the inside definitely had to be comfortable.

Just at this time, Pei Qing heard a knock on the door.

At first, he thought he had heard it wrong, so he looked at the time on his mobile phone. It was already half past eleven.

But the knock on the door sounded again, and he reached out to turn on the table lamp on the bedside table, got out of bed and walked outside.

As soon as he opened the door, Zhan Weiyang stood at the door and threw himself into his arms.

Pei Qing quickly reached out and hugged Zhan Weiyang, asking, “Why are you here so late?”

The cake box in Zhan Weiyang’s hand shook, and he hurried in and said, “I’m afraid I can’t make it to twelve o’clock to eat cake with you.”

Pei Qing picked him up, turned him half a circle, and put him on the ground, saying, “Happy birthday, my baby.”

They put the cake on the dining table.

Pei Qing unpacked it, put in the candles, and found the lighter at home. He lit the candles first, then turned off the lights in the room. He then sat down face to face with Zhan Weiyang and sang a birthday song for Zhan Weiyang.

The orange-red light of the candles was reflected in Zhan Weiyang’s eyes, which kept jumping as if they were stars. He kept looking at Pei Qing and waited until the whole song was finished, holding his hands, closing his eyes and making a wish for himself.

He thought silently: I hope Dad stop getting angry, Grandma’s health will get better soon, Zhan Weiguang can be more sensible, and Qing ge will always be with me.

Then he blew out the candles in one breath.

Pei Qing turned on a small spotlight above his head and handed the knife to Zhan Weiyang to cut the cake.

Zhan Weiyang looked very focused, wanting to cut the piece of cake with a big cherry in the middle for Pei Qing to eat.

Because it was late at night, it was very quiet around, Pei Qing spoke softly and asked him, “Did you sneak out?”

Zhan Weiyang asked curiously: “How did you know?” He carefully cut the piece of cake with the cherry and gave it to Pei Qing.

Pei Qing took the small plate and said with a smile, “Thank you.”

Zhan Weiyang said, “Eat it quickly, eat it quickly.”

Pei Qing thought it was too late, and it was not convenient to send Zhan Weiyang back now. So he should get up early tomorrow morning to send him there and find an opportunity to chat with Zhan Pengcheng as well.

The whole cake was too much for two people to finish, so Pei Qing put the rest in the refrigerator.

It was past twelve o’clock at that time. Zhan Weiyang was a little melancholy. He stood in front of the sofa in the living room and said, “My eighteenth birthday is over.”

Pei Qing came over, hugged him from behind, and whispered in his ear, “How come? From now until this day next year, you are eighteen years old.”

Zhan Weiyang raised his head to look at him.

Pei Qing kissed his lips and said, “It tastes sweet like cream.”

Zhan Weiyang smiled and said, “You have it too.”

When lying on the bed, Zhan Weiyang got into Pei Qing’s arms, leaned close to his ear, and whispered, “It’s the second day of my eighteenth birthday.”

Pei Qing couldn’t help laughing and said, “And?”

Zhan Weiyang bumped him with his elbow.

Pei Qing looked at him quietly for a while in the dim environment with a smile on his lips and then kissed Zhan Weiyang’s lips.

Zhan Weiyang thought it was just a sweet kiss, but he didn’t expect Pei Qing’s kiss to leave his lips, slide across his neck, and go all the way down. Zhan Weiyang covered his lips, opened his eyes wide and looked down, panicked and scared, but did not reach out to pull Pei Qing away.

Later, Pei Qing hugged him and said, “Are you asleep?”

Zhan Weiyang was still panting slightly and felt something was wrong, so he said, “What about you?”

Pei Qing rubbed his face with the tip of his nose. “I’m very happy, too. Everything that belongs to Yangyang is mine.”

Zhan Weiyang felt tired at this time and yawned.

Pei Qing whispered, “Count down to three, two, one, and see who falls asleep first.”

When Zhan Weiyang heard the countdown, he got nervous and said, “Immediately, immediately!” He immediately straightened his body and closed his eyes. When Pei Qing really counted down to ‘one’, Zhan Weiyang seemed hypnotised, and his consciousness became blurred.

Zhan Weiyang slept very deeply this time, but he didn’t sleep too long. Pei Qing woke him up early the next morning.

He opened his eyes halfway with difficulty and said hoarsely, “Hmm?”

Pei Qing said, “Get up. If you go back late, your father will look for you.”

Zhan Weiyang raised his hand to rub his eyes and asked, “What time is it?”

Pei Qing told him, “It’s already eight o’clock.” In fact, it was only seven o’clock.

Zhan Weiyang told Pei Qing in a sticky voice, “But I still want to sleep.”

Pei Qing said, “Can you sleep after you go back? You have to get up now, or should I leave first?”

When Zhan Weiyang heard Pei Qing say he was leaving, he opened his eyes quickly and said, “I’m up.”

Pei Qing urged him to wash his face and brush his teeth and then took his hand and went out.

Zhan Weiyang was still yawning as he walked. He thought about going home and said, “My father is going to lose his temper again.”

Pei Qing said, “Your father is right to lose his temper; don’t blame him.”

They stood at the elevator door, waiting for the elevator to come up from the first floor. After more than ten seconds, the elevator had arrived. The elevator door slowly opened, and Pei Qing saw an unexpected figure appear in the elevator.

Pei Jingrong was standing in the elevator wearing a suit and tie. When he saw them, he frowned slightly.

Chapter 30

Jiang Tongyan had experienced many joyful moments in his life. Or rather, apart from those unsuccessful love stories, he was like a fish in water in every other aspect.

Though it might sound shameful to say, he had grown up in a wealthy and loving family, where family members cherished one another. With such a background, there was hardly anything that could suffocate him with worry—happiness, on the other hand, was plentiful.

Especially for Jiang Tongyan. His grandfather had taught him from a young age to be grateful, to respect and appreciate everything. With that mindset, he had lived most of his life quite well.

But if he were to name his ‘happiest’ moment…

Nowadays, advertisements weren’t even allowed to use the word ‘most’. People, especially cautious businessmen like Jiang Tongyan, avoided using those words whenever possible, lest they left themselves open to criticism.

He wouldn’t casually label anything or anyone as ‘the most’ either—making absolute statements so easily was a foolish thing to do.

However, the moment Qian Xiaoke asked him to recall the happiest time of his life, his rationality was immediately shattered by a flood of memories. The scene that popped into his mind was that day when he and Qian Xiaoke had been tangled up naked in bed.

Well—only the first half. Because the second half was one of the most painful memories of his life.

After thinking carefully for so long, this ‘most’ was the conclusion he came to.

Jiang Tongyan subconsciously recalled that afternoon when Qian Xiaoke was lying naked on the bed, completely at his mercy.

At that time, he hadn’t yet known that Qian Xiaoke’s name was Qian Xiaoke, nor did he know that this guy was Cheng Sen’s employee. And he definitely hadn’t known that, not long after, they would experience something utterly suffocating.

At that time, he just thought that this guy was soft and seductive—if only his mouth could be sewn shut.

As Qian Xiaoke continued his ‘treatment’, he was muttering, “Relax, relax. The more nervous you are about this kind of thing, the greater the psychological pressure, and the greater the psychological pressure—”

       Qian Xiaoke stopped.

His voice and movements stopped together.

Jiang Tongyan was still lost in his memories. The first encounter was always beautiful. Back then, Qian Xiaoke didn’t seem as annoying as he was now.

       “Jiang Tongyan.”

Jiang Tongyan didn’t respond. He was busy blushing.

       “Jiang Tongyan!”

Still no response—he was too busy savouring the Qian Xiaoke in his memory.

“Jiang Tongyan, for god’s sake!” Qian Xiaoke’s sudden sharp cry finally yanked Jiang Tongyan’s soul back into his body.

“Look!” Qian Xiaoke excitedly grabbed Jiang Tongyan’s arm and shook it. “There’s a reaction! Holy shit, Big bro, you’re finally working again!”

Jiang Tongyan looked down and saw that his ‘brother’, who had been in a state of depression, seemed to have straightened up slightly. At the same time, he heard Qian Xiaoke beside him wiping away non-existent tears and saying, “Look at it; it opened its eyes happily.”

Jiang Tongyan had never been to school in China and had never studied Chinese well, so naturally, he didn’t know what the ‘opened his eyes happily1comes from the famous Chinese essay Spring (春) by Zhu Ziqing. In the original text, it describes the way the earth and nature wake up joyfully as spring arrives’ was.

He only knew that he seemed to have really reacted.

“Go on!” Jiang Tongyan was excited, “Hurry up, strike while the iron is hot!”

Qian Xiaoke felt that he was right, and this kind of thing must be done while the iron was hot!

He reached out his hand again, but the other party stopped again.

“…Why is this?” Qian Xiaoke frowned.

The surge of male confidence Jiang Tongyan had just felt was instantly shattered into dust. The moment Qian Xiaoke spoke, it was like a breeze blowing out a flickering candle.

Jiang Tongyan looked down, his face full of sadness and disappointment.

This was like someone giving him a piece of candy—just as he took a bite, they snatched it away and smacked him across the face.

Honestly, it would have been better if they hadn’t given him the candy in the first place.

The room, which had just been filled with excitement, now fell into heavy silence again.

Qian Xiaoke felt this was not okay, so he said, “No worries, this is a good sign. The fact that it lifted a little proves there’s hope!”

Jiang Tongyan frowned slightly, feeling heavy-hearted.

“Come on, we got this!” Qian Xiaoke was full of energy, leaving Jiang Tongyan speechless.

“Hey, don’t make that face!” Qian Xiaoke really couldn’t stand Jiang Tongyan like this. He was used to them constantly bickering, used to Jiang Tongyan strutting around with his arrogant attitude, nitpicking everything. This dejected version of him was unfamiliar and unsettling.

“Don’t be like this, don’t be like this.” Qian Xiaoke helped tie his bathrobe back up and coaxed him like a child. “Don’t be sad. These things take time, you know?”

“…Qian Xiaoke.” Jiang Tongyan looked at him with a pitiful expression. “Do you think maybe that was just a last flicker before death?”

“…Hey!” Qian Xiaoke slapped Jiang Tongyan on the back, “What nonsense are you talking about? Pah pah pah!” Seeing him like this, Jiang Tongyan suddenly laughed.

“Why are you so confident?” Jiang Tongyan still felt depressed, and he felt that his future was hopeless.

“Do you not have confidence in yourself?” Qian Xiaoke wiggled his fingers at him. “Look, the situation isn’t great, but it’s not completely useless either!”

Qian Xiaoke smiled, “I just realised—my hands really are magical.”

Jiang Tongyan shot him a sidelong glance. “Saying all that, you were just praising yourself, huh?”

Qian Xiaoke let out a goofy laugh, then smacked him hard on the back again. “Friend, stop being so gloomy. If there’s a problem, we solve it. And if we can’t, there’s always a doctor.”

Jiang Tongyan really didn’t want to see a doctor.

       That would be humiliating.

If he went, people would ask: Handsome guy, what’s wrong with you?

He replied: Doctor, I can’t get hard anymore.

It was so embarrassing. If words got out—Jiang Tongyan might as well just disappear from the world.

“I just think that no matter how bad things are, they always get better eventually,” Qian Xiaoke said. “Everyone has hurdles in life. You just have to get past them.”

Jiang Tongyan wasn’t sure why, but something about what this guy said actually comforted him.

       “Qian Xiaoke, I just realised…”

“Ah? What?” Qian Xiaoke blinked at him with a completely innocent face.

Jiang Tongyan chuckled, reached out, and ruffled his hair. “Nothing.”

       Qian Xiaoke pouted, “Crazy.”

       It’s true, wasn’t this a mental illness?

Jiang Tongyan thought to himself—he was definitely sick in the head.

“By the way, I have something to tell you.” Jiang Tongyan said, “I suggested to your Chairman Cheng that they should arrange for you to move into a company-provided dorm soon.”

       “Huh?” Qian Xiaoke was shocked.

“Don’t huh me,” Jiang Tongyan said, “Go home and pack your things. It should be in the next few days.”

After he finished speaking, he stood up and straightened his twisted robe, “Just go, go. Do what you need to do; don’t disturb my sleep.”

“Huh? Why didn’t I know about this?”

Jiang Tongyan stuffed Qian Xiaoke’s small backpack into his arms. “There are plenty of things you don’t know. Now go, go, go home!”

Qian Xiaoke was practically shoved out of the hotel by Jiang Tongyan. Standing at the door, he clutched his small backpack with both hands, looking utterly bewildered. To passing strangers, he probably seemed quite pitiful.

However, Qian Xiaoke was only dazed for a brief moment before snapping out of it, then nearly cheered as he ran out of the hotel.

Since Qian Xiaoke left, Jiang Tongyan had been leaning against the door, peering through the peephole to watch him. He observed Qian Xiaoke’s changing expressions and saw the guy flitting away like a little swallow. He couldn’t hold back a laugh.

He walked to the window and soon saw Qian Xiaoke running out of the hotel and running towards his home.

Qian Xiaoke was truly a fascinating person. When he was happy, it had a contagious effect—just watching him could make others happy, too. This was what Jiang Tongyan thought at this moment.

Seeing Qian Xiaoke leave so joyfully, all his previous gloom vanished. He felt like he was floating on a cloud of color.

He picked up the phone and called Cheng Sen.

“Calling me this late, what do you want?”

“What are you up to?” Jiang Tongyan asked, “Do you have time now?”

“I’m having dinner with my Baby,” Cheng Sen said, “I’m busy.”

“…Do me a favour,” Jiang Tongyan said, “Help me find two apartments next to each other.”

Cheng Sen burst into laughter, “Got it.”

“I haven’t explained it yet. What do you get?”

Cheng Sen laughed, “Your intention is written on your face.”

He said, “I thought Qian Xiaoke was not your type.”

“…Cheng Sen! What’s wrong with you?!” Jiang Tongyan roared, “Who said that? What does this have to do with Qian Xiaoke? Stop talking nonsense!”

Cheng Sen laughed so hard he nearly fell out of his chair. Zhou Mo came over and muttered in disgust, “Who is that on the phone? Sounds like they’re on drugs or something.”

“Jiang Tongyan,” Cheng Sen said, He’s fallen for Qian Xiaoke but won’t admit it.”

Zhou Mo let out a surprised, “Ouch”. He leaned over to the microphone and asked, “Old Jiang, you are not pursuing Suo Yang anymore?”

       Suo Yang?

       Who is Suo Yang?

Jiang Tongyan was in a trance for a moment, and then he remembered that Suo Yang was his ideal blind date partner!

“I’m too busy recently,” Jiang Tongyan lied, “I haven’t had time to make an appointment with him.”

“I don’t think you need to make an appointment,” Zhou Mo said, “He’s busy too and has no time to deal with you.”

Jiang Tongyan pouted, deciding he didn’t want to waste any more words on this couple.

“Cheng Sen, please arrange the rental for me as soon as possible, preferably in the next two days, fully furnished and ready to move in.”

“So urgent?” Cheng Sen said, “Even if you’re coming, it won’t be until the end of the year, right?”

“It’s just… ugh, don’t ask so many questions. I’ll pay. Just help me out.”

Cheng Sen, who had seen through everything, agreed, and after hanging up the phone, he contacted a familiar real estate agent.

Jiang Tongyan stood by the window, contemplating for a long while before lighting a cigarette.

He found that he hadn’t been smoking much lately—because he hadn’t been feeling stressed.

Although rich people were much happier, they occasionally had ‘little melancholy moments’—like when someone else snatched their crush away. Usually, at times like that, Jiang Tongyan would smoke.

But since he met Qian Xiaoke, he almost quit smoking.

       It was good, amazing even.

Qian Xiaoke was really an amazing person.

Jiang Tongyan chuckled with the cigarette between his lips. Ash fell onto the windowsill, and he casually blew it to the ground.

This time, he wasn’t smoking because he was upset. As for why?

       That’s a secret.

He wasn’t about to let anyone know what he was thinking.

Chapter 39

Early in the morning, the atmosphere in the conference room on the 12th floor of Golden Eagle Group’s headquarters was already tense. This time, the new project was a cross-industry investment in the animation and gaming sector. The directors from the Network Technology Department, Planning Department, Finance Department, and Operations Department each stuck to their own opinions, arguing back and forth in a heated debate, making it difficult to reach any conclusion.

Chu Yunhan, seated at the head of the table, fiddled with the pen in his hand while watching the lively discussion with interest. It wasn’t until the directors had nearly exhausted their energy that he gave a light cough.

The conference room immediately quieted down, and all eyes turned toward him.

These individuals were the backbone of the company, each an expert in their respective fields, and normally quite proud and difficult to impress. When Chu Yunhan had first arrived and taken the position of vice president, many assumed he had relied on connections to get there and were thoroughly unconvinced, treating him with little regard. Chu Yunhan understood that to gain a foothold, he needed to demonstrate real capability. Over the course of just two months, he worked tirelessly, leveraging nearly all his connections, and successfully secured two major government tender projects. This transformed his reputation from ‘useless rich kid’ to ‘someone who knows what they’re doing’. He was decisive in his actions, innovative, and adept at utilising his network. His management style emphasised results, with a principle of ‘get the work done, and I won’t interfere with the rest’, and he was generous with bonuses. As a result, he was quite popular among employees, especially the female staff.

These directors, having dealt with him for some time, had come to understand his way of working. While he appeared approachable, he had his own ideas and was someone who ‘ignored minor issues but made the big decisions’. So, despite their earlier quarrels, they now quieted down to hear his perspective.

Chu Yunhan was sitting upright, looking dignified and energetic in a dark blue suit. He put down the pen he’d been fiddling with, swept his gaze calmly over everyone, and began speaking, “I’ve reviewed all your proposals. They’re thorough, well-reasoned, and highly informative. It’s clear that each of you has put considerable effort into researching the market and technical aspects.”

He raised his eyebrows slightly and shifted his tone, “However, focusing solely on the difficulties will obscure the hope for success. This investment carries risks and challenges, but breaking the ice always comes at a cost. Once we tap into the second-dimension market, the returns will be substantial. We need to proceed cautiously but also boldly. Rather than just listing risks and challenges, I want to see suggestions on how to break through and methods to mitigate risks. I’ll give you three days to prepare. In three days, I hope to hear more constructive opinions. That’s all for today.”

After efficiently wrapping up the morning meeting and returning to his office, the secretary, Irene, walked in holding a bouquet of flowers and said, “Chairman Chu, these flowers are for you. Today, it’s red roses.”

Chu Yunhan glanced at it and said, “Help me find a vase to put it in.”

“Understood.” Irene replaced the sunflowers in the vase with the red roses. As she arranged them, she commented, “Chairman Chu, your girlfriend is really thoughtful, sending flowers at the same time every day.”

       He smiled and said nothing.

After changing the water in the vase, Irene placed it in its usual spot on the desk and left the room.

Chu Yunhan gazed at the bouquet of red roses, encircled with baby’s breath, and felt a surge of emotion. Flowers, gifts, candlelight dinners… The tricks he once used to woo girls were now used to court him. Chu Yichen, as always, was relentless in his approach. For two straight months, he sent one bouquet every day without any duplicates.

It felt a bit awkward to constantly receive gifts without reciprocating. Perhaps he should give something in return? But what? A trinket like a tie clip, wallet, or watch? Or something practical, like a razor, shoes, or a mug?

Thinking of a mug, Chu Yunhan recalled last night. Feeling thirsty, he had casually grabbed Chu Yichen’s cup to drink water, only to realise it was the same one he’d given him in high school, now well-worn. After he finished drinking, Chu Yichen grasped his wrist and took two sips directly from the spot Chu Yunhan had drunk from, pressing his lips to the rim. The image of Chu Yichen’s elegant neck, slightly tilted jawline to form a beautiful angle, and the motion of his Adam’s apple as he swallowed.

His body felt hot again for no apparent reason.

He took a deep breath and looked down at the report. After looking at the case, he grabbed a few forms and went out. He greeted the staff in the elevator with a serious expression. He walked into the president’s office with a face that he had to discuss important business and then sat down. He got on the sofa and said, “Don’t send flowers in the future.”

“What’s wrong?” The man behind the large desk looked at him and asked.

“It’s interfering with my work.” He said uncomfortably, “Whenever I look up, I see them, and when I see them, I get lost in thought, and when I get lost in thought… I think of you.”

Chu Yichen curled his lips, “When you think of me, I am also thinking of you.”

Chu Yunhan’s face turned red. He couldn’t bear it and made a motion of vomiting. He said, “You can say such cringy things without changing your face. I’m impressed.”

The man smiled and sat down next to him and said, “You don’t like the flowers today?”

He glanced at the closed door, leaned down, found a comfortable position, stretched out his legs, put his head on the other person’s lap, and said, “Red rose… I thought you wouldn’t give such an explicit flower.”

“Today is the anniversary.” Chu Yichen said, “The day I first met you.”

Chu Yunhan was stunned and said, “Today?”

       “En.”

“You remember things from so long ago.” He was stunned. “It’s not possible that you fell in love with me at first sight back then, right? Though I was pretty cute as a kid, you were way too precocious! Do you know that kind of thing counts as paedophilia? Oh, right, you were a kid too… Wait, were you already… like that back then?”

Chu Yichen let him talk nonsense and played with the ends of his soft hair and then his round earlobes with his long fingers. Chu Yunhan was ticklish, so he reached over, grabbed his waist and pressed it on his waist. “Your hands are so free; why not massage the waist for me.” Then he muttered in a low voice, “Last time I was tied up like that, it wasn’t comfortable at all, and my waist is still sore after two days…”

“Uncomfortable?” The man teased while massaging his waist, “You screamed in ecstasy that night, and you ejaculated so fast.”

His face was completely red now, and he reached out to block Chu Yichen’s mouth while saying, “Shut up…”. However, the other party caught his hand and kissed him lightly on the palm of his hand. This gentle gesture made Chu Yunhan’s heart feel numb and itchy, and he felt inexplicably moved. He rolled over and sat up, then hooked his arms around the man’s neck and brought his lips together.

Since the two’s hearts were already connected, Chu Yunhan was more proactive, and Chu Yichen was less restrained. The kiss between the two was direct and rough, which was unique to men, biting, licking, and sucking like two beasts fighting to the death. It was like they wanted to swallow each other alive.

After finally separating, Chu Yunhan gasped and stretched his legs to kneel on Chu Yichen’s body. The two faced each other and kissed again. While he was kissing him, he was touching him naughtily. The man was also aroused by his teasing and gave him a heavy slap on his buttocks. He then said in a low and hoarse voice, “Get off.”

Chu Yunhan just pretended not to hear, lowered his head and kissed Chu Yichen’s neck like a puppy, which made people feel itchy. Helpless and amused, the man untied his belt, took it out and tied the two troublemaking hands behind his back. Then he pulled down his underwear and released his already erect c0ck. Chu Yunhan’s c0ck was of moderate length and thickness, light in colour, and clean and delicate.

“You are so brave, not afraid of being seen by the people coming in?” Chu Yichen took hold of his c0ck and stroked it slowly.

       “Bai Xiao is outside…”

Bai Xiao was well aware of the true relationship between the two of them and would certainly block anyone from coming in, which was why this guy felt so confident. The man curved his lips into a smile, lightly grazing his fingertips over the rim of Chu Yunhan’s collar, and softly said, “Slave, spread your legs a bit wider.”

When Chu Yunhan heard the word ‘slave’, his body uncontrollably became more aroused. He spread his legs further, sitting completely on the man’s lap. He opened his legs wide and allowed the other man to torment the arousal between his legs. Chu Yichen’s hand left him unable to resist, and the movements of the stroke became faster and faster, and his breathing became more and more rapid. The moans he suppressed came out in small pieces, and a thin layer of sweat spread on his back along with his toes that curled up uncomfortably. However, a feeling of emptiness welled up in his back hole, as if he were a hungry and thirsty vagabond longing to be filled.

“Hmm… Master…” Chu Yunhan’s eyelashes were misted with water, and his vision was a little blurry, and he said intermittently, “Hold me…please…”

This is not the first time he has asked for sex. During this period of mutual love, the two of them had done it many times, but Chu Yichen had not once physically entered him, nor had he ever used any means other than those stipulated in the agreement. This stubborn man was still sticking to that damn contract.

It was the same at this moment. Chu Yunhan could feel the man’s erection close to him, but Chu Yichen still couldn’t bear to do anything. He felt depressed, and his interest suddenly waned. He gritted his teeth and said, “Resign.”

It was the safe word. He used it for the first time.

The man’s movements stopped and he looked at him in dismay.

       “Untie me.” He turned away.

Chu Yichen said nothing and loosened his belt for him.

Chu Yunhan pulled on his trousers and headed out the door but stopped when he reached the door. After a moment of silence, he said softly, “If you are not interested in me, go find another sub. One-to-many… I have no objection.” After saying that, he quickly left the room.

As soon as he stepped out, his face fell, dark and gloomy, looking quite intimidating. This immediately led the secretaries to speculate whether Vice President Yun had been scolded by the Chairman due to some work-related mistake.

Chu Yunhan didn’t even return to his office. Instead, he immediately ordered Bai Yang to drive him home. The moment he entered, he headed straight to Chu Yichen’s room and started rummaging through everything. Du Chuan, noticing the chaotic scene and Chu Yunhan’s apparent determination to turn the room upside down, turned pale. Trembling, he tried to dissuade him, saying, “Young Master Yun, Young Master doesn’t allow anyone to touch his things in this room… Young Master Yun, this is going to be impossible to clean up if you keep doing this… Oh, that box cannot be touched—”

The green paper box on the top of the cabinet was knocked over, and the contents were scattered all over the floor.

       There were childhood toys.

There were origami frogs and birds.

       There were messy notes.

There was a collection of badges.

There were also a bunch of various trinkets.

They were all given by him.

These fragmentary objects related to the two of them were well preserved by Chu Yichen.

Chu Yunhan was momentarily stunned. It felt like biting into a green apple—sour and astringent. He sat on the carpet, picking up and examining each item before placing it back, muttering to himself as he worked, “Why would he keep all this junk…”

His effort finally bore fruit. Just when he had nearly torn apart the entire room, he finally found what he wanted—the contract—in the mezzanine of a copy of “Finance and Economics” on the shelf.

What kind of lunatic hides something like this in a book like this… He cursed secretly in his heart and returned to his room, leaving a teary-eyed Du Chuan with a mess on the floor.

Chu Yichen had a busy schedule today. He had social activities outside in the evening, and it was midnight when he returned. He stood by Chu Yunhan’s room door. After a moment of hesitation, he decided not to knock. But just as he was about to leave, the door opened. Chu Yunhan stood there, glaring at him.

“Still not asleep?” Chu Yichen asked.

“Come in.” He dropped the two words and headed back inside. He walked to the table and picked up two pieces of paper. He waved them at Chu Yichen, who followed him and said, “Both contracts are here.” One was his own copy, while the other was the one he’d found in Chu Yichen’s room earlier that afternoon.

When he returned, the man had already heard Du Chuan talk about this matter, and now he just looked at him quietly.

Chu Yunhan used his hands hard, tore the contract into pieces with three strokes, five divided by two, and said, “It’s void now.”

Tearing up the contract was equivalent to ending the relationship.

There was some suppressed sadness in Chu Yichen’s eyes, and he asked, “Don’t you even want to hear an explanation?”

“I don’t want to hear it.” He picked up two more pieces of paper and handed them over, saying, “Sign it.”

Chu Yichen took the papers and, after glancing at them, looked up in astonishment, “You…”

“What? Are you going to sign or not?” Chu Yunhan pretended to be impatient and cut off Chu Yichen’s words. His face slightly flushed as he averted his gaze, “This is my only request. If you don’t agree, forget it.”

On the paper, the table of options was completely blank, except for the section labeled ‘Acceptable Relationship’, where only ‘One-on-One’ was checked. At the bottom, there was a bold, flamboyant signature.

CChu Yichen lowered his gaze and smiled. Walking to the table, he leaned over and signed his name. “Didn’t you say this morning that you didn’t mind me finding other subs?”

“I regretted it, can’t I?” He said gloomily, “Put it in the same place. Otherwise, if I want to regret it again one day, it will be very inconvenient to find it.”

       “Okay.”

       “What’s your explanation?”

“Didn’t you just say you didn’t want to hear it?”

       “Now I want to.”

“I was afraid it would remind you of those… unpleasant memories.”

Hearing this, Chu Yunhan’s heart sank with a twinge of sourness. This man, who feared nothing and no one, was actually afraid of something.

This man was afraid he would remember being forced into things. Afraid of making him feel panic. Afraid of scaring him. And so, he endured. All of his hesitation, his caution, his concerns, and his self-restraint had been for him.

Chu Yunhan walked over, tilted his head, and gave him a light kiss on his thin lips. In a soft voice, he said, “From this moment on, everything about me belongs to you, Master.”

My body is yours to command, my gaze yours to lead, my heart yours to hold. Everything about me is given to you.

From this moment and for eternity.

Chapter 90

       The surroundings suddenly became quiet.

Zhan Pengcheng looked at Pei Qing for a while and asked him, “What?” He felt that he did not understand what Pei Qing meant.

Pei Qing said, “It means that.” After saying that, he thought about it and added, “Actually, Yangyang is still young now, and I understand that Uncle is more nervous about him than other parents, so I think I should let you know first.”

Zhan Pengcheng sensed that something was off, and his hand shook. He accidentally knocked over the empty beer bottle on the table and made a sound.

Zhan Weiguang was startled, thinking that Zhan Pengcheng was going to make a move, and quickly reached out to hold Zhan Pengcheng’s wrist and said, “Dad!”

Zhan Pengcheng was not in the mood to pay attention to Zhan Weiguang, so he pushed Zhan Weiguang’s hand away and looked straight at Pei Qing, “What do you mean?”

This time, before Pei Qing answered, Zhan Weiyang couldn’t help but say first, “Dad, Qing ge and I are dating!”

Even though he had guessed it in his heart, Zhan Pengcheng was still filled with anger at the word ‘dating’. He stood up suddenly and pointed his finger at Pei Qing.

The waiter standing in the distance looked in their direction nervously.

Zhan Weiguang couldn’t help but persuade him, “Dad, sit down first.”

Zhan Pengcheng asked, “What dating? Who are you dating? Do you know how old Yangyang is? And, and Yangyang is a boy. Do you know what you are doing?”

Pei Qing answered him, “Of course I know. Uncle, can you listen to me first?”

“What do I need to listen to?!” Zhan Pengcheng was obviously very angry, “What nonsense are you talking about? What dating? Aren’t you just toying with a child who is ignorant?”

He spoke so loudly that even the guests at the next table were alarmed.

The waiter came over and asked carefully, “Is there anything I can help you with?”

Zhan Pengcheng didn’t want to argue about Zhan Weiyang in front of strangers. He just shouted angrily at the frightened Zhan Weiyang, “Yangyang, go back now!”

Zhan Weiyang looked at Pei Qing in panic, grabbed Pei Qing’s hand, and said, “I won’t go back.”

Zhan Pengcheng said to Zhan Weiguang, “Take your brother back!”

Zhan Weiguang couldn’t help but said, “Dad, don’t be so emotional.”

Zhan Pengcheng said, “I’m not emotional. If I were, I would hit him to death with a bottle!”

Pei Qing knew that Zhan Pengcheng was angry now and would not listen to anything he said. He wanted to wait until he calmed down before everyone sat down and talked slowly. Besides, this was not a place suitable for quarrels, so he comforted Zhan Weiyang and said, “Go home with your dad first.”

Zhan Weiyang was very sad and said, “Can I not?”

Zhan Pengcheng had left his seat and walked around, stretched out his hand to pull Zhan Weiyang’s arm, “Go with Dad!”

Pei Qing was afraid that Zhan Pengcheng would get angry and hurt Zhan Weiyang. He pulled Zhan Weiyang’s hand away and said to him, “Go back first. I will come to see you soon. Don’t be afraid.”

Zhan Weiyang was pulled up by Zhan Pengcheng.

Zhan Pengcheng pulled him outside and said to Zhan Weiguang, “Let’s go.”

Zhan Weiyang stumbled and kept looking back at Pei Qing.

Zhan Weiguang had no choice but to get up and leave. Before he left, he said to Pei Qing, “Now isn’t the right time.”

Pei Qing replied, “I know, but there is no real right time.”

Maybe in a few years, when Zhan Weiyang was in his twenties, or even almost thirty, Zhan Pengcheng might not be so nervous.

However, that timing was only suitable for Zhan Pengcheng, not him and Zhan Weiyang.

Zhan Weiguang said, “I will persuade my father.”

But until he returned home, Zhan Weiguang did not find a suitable time to persuade Zhan Pengcheng.

Zhan Pengcheng was furious, and almost the entire way, he kept cursing Pei Qing. It wasn’t baseless insults, though; he was saying that Pei Qing had bad intentions, taking advantage of Zhan Weiyang’s naivety and coaxing the young boy into a relationship with him. His reaction was quite similar to Zhan Weiguang’s when he first found out about the situation.

Because Zhan Pengcheng was drunk, Zhan Weiguang was driving on the way back.

Zhan Weiguang listened to his father all the way and couldn’t help but say, “Qing ge is not like this. Have you ever considered that he is serious about Zhan Weiyang?”

Zhan Pengcheng said angrily, “That’s homosexual! That’s not okay! I don’t care whether he is or not. Anyway, my Yangyang is not! He is not allowed to lead Yangyang astray!”

Zhan Weiyang kept his head down and didn’t say a word.

When they returned home, both Grandma and Auntie Luo had already gone back to their rooms to watch TV, leaving the living room empty and quiet.

Zhan Pengcheng grabbed Zhan Weiyang’s hand and said, “Come here; Dad has something to tell you.”

Zhan Weiyang still kept his head down and didn’t say a word.

Zhan Pengcheng said, “Listen, you are still immature, but there are some things that Dad must tell you. Although Pei Qing is your older cousin, he is already an adult man. You cannot allow any adult man or adult woman to do anything intimate with you, understand? It is even more unacceptable if they say they want to date you. They are not little girls in school. They have bad intentions!”

Zhan Weiyang finally raised his head and roared, “I am also already eighteen years old, and I am also an adult man.”

At this time, Zhan Weiguang went to park the car and walked in with the car keys in his hand. He just heard Zhan Weiyang’s words and could not help but pause.

Zhan Pengcheng was stunned by his yelling and said, “Your situation is different.”

Zhan Weiyang was very angry and said to his father, “I’m not an idiot! I know who treats me well and who doesn’t! I can date the person I like! Even if you are my father, you are not allowed to say such a thing!”

Zhan Pengcheng was a little anxious. He grabbed Zhan Weiyang’s wrist and said, “Of course you are not an idiot. You are my father’s little baby. There are many bad people in society. You don’t understand because you have never been in contact with them. Dad will slowly teach you in the future.”

Zhan Weiyang shook off his hand and turned to run upstairs, saying as he ran, “I’m not going to listen! I hate Dad the most!”

Zhan Weiguang couldn’t help but look at Zhan Pengcheng’s face when he heard it. He froze in place and his face seemed to be a little pale.

After a while, Zhan Pengcheng turned around and asked Zhan Weiguang, “What should we do?”

Zhan Weiguang avoided his gaze and walked inside, saying, “How should I know.”

A little later, Zhan Pengcheng felt that Zhan Weiyang had probably calmed down. He carried a box of birthday cake and walked to the door of Zhan Weiyang’s room. He knocked on the door first, then gently opened the door and walked in while singing the birthday song.

Zhan Weiyang was lying firmly on the bed, with his head, face, hands and feet all pressed against the bed without any gap. At this time, he finally raised his head and looked at Zhan Pengcheng.

Zhan Pengcheng thought he had cried, but when he saw that Zhan Weiyang’s face was still clean, he was relieved. He walked to the bedside, picked up the cake in his hand and showed it to Zhan Weiyang, saying, “Yangyang, shall we eat the cake?”

Zhan Weiyang said weakly, “I don’t want to eat it.”

Zhan Pengcheng put the cake aside, sat down on the bedside, reached out to touch his head, and said to him, “Today is your birthday. We have to celebrate it happily. Wait until today is over, and Dad will explain other things to you slowly, okay?”

       Zhan Weiyang didn’t say anything.

Zhan Pengcheng continued, “People are complicated. I’m not saying Pei Qing is a bad person, but no one is absolutely good or absolutely bad. Dad also likes Pei Qing and thinks he is a good person, but he did something wrong in this matter. Do you understand?”

Zhan Weiyang said, “I don’t understand.”

Zhan Pengcheng said, “It’s okay, Dad will tell you, and then you will understand. Do you want to get up and eat the cake now?”

Zhan Weiyang said, “But I don’t want to see Dad.”

Zhan Pengcheng looked at him silently for a while and said, “Then Dad will go out. You didn’t eat much for dinner. If you are hungry later, remember to eat the cake.”

After that, Zhan Pengcheng sighed, got up and left.

Chapter 38

Chu Yunhan had said many sweet nothings in the past. They were usually directed at women, beginning with romantic words that left the other party’s heart fluttering and gaze softening. What followed was a kiss, and if the kiss stirred emotions, it naturally led to some joyful moments. He was well-versed in this routine.

But now, the other party was a man—and, by their roles, that man was the one on top. That earlier confession had already drained all his courage, and the lingering kiss had left his body weak and his mind muddled, with no clue what to do next. It wasn’t until he felt the other man’s fingertips gently brush the corner of his eye that he opened his eyes tremblingly. He saw Chu Yichen looking at him, and his face flushed with embarrassment. Dryly, he muttered, “I’m hungry. Shall we have breakfast?”

       “Okay.” The man replied.

He waited for a long time, but the other party didn’t move. Bewildered, he blinked.

“The door is too narrow. You’ll have to let me go first before we can get out,” Chu Yichen said, a smile forming on his lips and tenderness filling his eyes.

Even the tips of Chu Yunhan’s ears were red. Like being jolted by electricity, he hastily released the arms he had wrapped around the other man’s waist and tried to step away to flee, only to stop again. Hesitantly, he said, “I… I don’t want to go to work today…”

       “Okay.”

“Then I… will accompany you today. Is that okay?” He pressed forward anxiously.

       “Okay.” The man answered indulgently.

At the round dining table, the two of them sat on either side, separated by a little girl in the middle. While Chu Yunhan nibbled on a soup dumpling, he couldn’t help but sneak glances at Chu Yichen. But the moment their eyes met, his face turned red, like a traffic light switching to stop.

Yuanyuan looked at him worriedly and asked: “Did Uncle Han catch a cold and have a fever? Why is your face so red?” Because she lived with two ‘Uncles Chu’, to distinguish them easily, she changed her name and called Chu Yunhan ‘Uncle Han’, another ‘Uncle Chen’.

Seeing the teasing curve at the corners of Chu Yichen’s lips, Chu Yunhan mumbled awkwardly, “No, It’s just a bit hot.”

Yuanyuan let out an ‘oh’ and obediently resumed eating. Once she finished, Chu Yunhan prepared to take her to kindergarten. When she walked to the door, she found that the driver, old Zhao, was already waiting by the car and said, “Young Master said you didn’t have a good rest last night and asked me to drive.”

That person was always so considerate toward him. Warmth filled Chu Yunhan’s heart as he nodded and got into the car. When he returned, he discovered that Chu Yichen hadn’t gone to the office either. Instead, he had temporarily moved his work into the study. In the study, the senior members of the Black Eagle Society—Hei Yu, Bai Xiao, Lan Xue, Qing Feng, and others—were sitting on the sofas in a circle, seemingly discussing something important.

As soon as he walked in, the room fell silent. Over a dozen pairs of eyes turned to him simultaneously, some glaring at him with open hostility. Chu Yunhan understood that it was because he had put the young master they loyally protected into danger several times, leaving him battered and scarred. If not for Chu Yichen’s intervention, they would have torn him to pieces and fed him to the dog long ago. The fact that they hadn’t told him to leave was already a sign of respect for him. Feeling awkward, he said, “You guys talk, I’ll first…”

“Didn’t you say you’d keep me company today?” Chu Yichen interrupted, looking up from his documents. He casually patted the seat beside him and said, “Come here.”

At that, all the gazes turned to surprise. Even Hei Yu, who usually had a stoic expression, slightly opened his mouth, exchanging a glance with Bai Xiao. Bai Xiao raised an eyebrow and smirked faintly at Chu Yunhan but said nothing.

He stiffened his neck and walked over, hesitating for a moment. The sofa was for three people, and Chu Yichen was sitting in the middle with no intention of moving. This meant that no matter which side Chu Yunhan chose, he would end up pressed close to the other man. His face grew hot again. Finally, he sat on the left, his heart pounding like a rabbit’s, though he forced himself to appear nonchalant. “You’re discussing confidential matters. It’s not appropriate for me to listen.”

“I have nothing to keep secret from you.” Chu Yichen said this lightly, turned to Hei Yu and said, “Continue.”

Hei Yu paused briefly before resuming, discussing plans to take over the Sheng family’s territory in J City. But Chu Yunhan didn’t hear a word. That one sentence from Chu Yichen had set his heart racing like a shrimp being steamed alive.

He thought he could be considered good at saying sweet nothings and coaxing people.

He hadn’t expected this man’s words to be utterly lethal… Compared to him, his own efforts were utterly insignificant.

Distracted, Chu Yunhan sat there, pretending to flip through the documents Chu Yichen had handed him, though he didn’t absorb a single word. Just sitting side by side like this—the brush of their clothes, the touch of their elbows, the occasional meeting of their gazes—was enough to leave him completely unfocused.

Chu Yichen indeed had a lot of work to handle and worked nonstop from morning until noon. Likely tired from the lack of sleep the previous night, he asked Du Chuan to bring in a cup of hot coffee. Chu Yunhan frowned and said, “Don’t drink that.”

The comment was abrupt. Noticing everyone looking at him, his face turned slightly red, and he softly added, “It’s not good for your health.”

The man smiled, his thin lips curving into a pleasing arc, “Alright, I’ll have tea instead.”

He smiled like this, with a hint of doting, which made Chu Yunhan feel like he was trapped in a steamy sauna with a fierce stove fire, and his whole body was so hot that he was about to smoke. Hastily, he found an excuse, “I’ll step out to make a call…” and fled the study, defeated.

The senior members, seeing their interactions, roughly pieced things together and sighed inwardly, “So the iron tree has finally bloomed.” Taking the hint, they quickly wrapped up the most important matters and left, leaving their afternoon to their young master, who had a complicated relationship.

After lunch, the two of them walked in the yard for a while. When passing by the pond, he was afraid that Thor would come out again, so he coughed and said, “Let’s head back.” Chu Yichen said nothing and grabbed his hand.

The warmth from the slender fingers and dry palms warmed his hands little by little, as if his heart had settled down.

Hand in hand, they walked forward.

       Just like childhood.

At this moment, Chu Yunhan seemed to see a vision of two children, hand in hand, laughing as they crossed a small pond. A faint ripple stirred in his heart. He clasped the other man’s hand in return, their fingers interlocking like an unbreakable lock. As they neared the doorway, neither let go. They walked inside, still holding hands, under the gaze of the household staff. Chu Yunhan felt that after today’s ordeal, his face had grown a layer thicker. Resigned, he blushed and said, “I’m a bit tired. Do you… want to take a nap with me?”

“Okay.” Chu Yichen was like an unprincipled parent who doted on his children. This was the word he said the most today.

Both of their intentions were the same—to ensure the other wasn’t too tired, resulting in perfect harmony.

The master bedroom carried a faint sandalwood scent that was calming and soothing. Yet now, lying side by side with Chu Yichen, Chu Yunhan’s heart was racing so wildly he couldn’t settle down. Afraid of disturbing the other, he forced himself to remain as still as a corpse, not daring to move.

“You staying like that is making it hard for me to sleep too,” Chu Yichen said with a helpless chuckle. Turning on his side, he said, “Turn this way.”

Chu Yunhan turned his face, and under the shared blanket, he found himself face-to-face with the man. His gaze accidentally fell on the bit of neck exposed beneath the collar, and the memories of that whip strike flashed through his mind, filling him with regret. Reaching out hesitantly, he lightly touched the spot, only for his hand to be caught.

       “Want it?” Chu Yichen asked.

Chu Yunhan was stunned for a moment before he realised what the other party meant. His face was on fire, and he said in a low voice, “No.” Then he said softly, “I just… want to see. Is that okay?”

He wanted to see the scars.

The man was silent for a moment before pulling the blanket up, enveloping both of their heads entirely. Then he guided the hand he had caught to rest gently on the first button of his pyjamas.

The entire world shrunk to a blanket and two people.

In the pitch-black space, Chu Yunhan could feel only the other’s steady breathing and the warmth of his body through the fabric. He fumbled to undo the buttons, one by one, until his hand came into contact with—

Bare skin. Scalding. Marked with scars.

His movements faltered for a moment, his hand trembling slightly. In the darkness, he traced his fingers over the chest inch by inch, gingerly feeling the uneven scars. His fingertips lingered over each deep groove as if he could feel the sharp pain they once caused, as though the piercing agony was cutting through his own body now. As his fingers moved, each scar became an indelible mark of guilt etched on his heart, a reminder of the mistakes he had made that could never be erased.

Chu Yunhan’s palm came to rest over the spot where the bullet wound was—just as Zhang Juan had pressed his hand to it once before. Beneath the layers of skin, muscle, and bone, he felt the steady thumping of a heart.

       One beat. Then another.

Fortunately, this man is still alive.

Fortunately, this man is still with him.

Chu Yunhan’s eyes were filled with tears. He pressed his lips together tightly and leaned forward to wrap his arms around the man. He held him tightly, like an animal clinging to a piece of driftwood in a flood, the kind of embrace that spoke of desperation and a refusal to let go. His voice trembled as he choked out, “Does it still hurt…”

“It doesn’t hurt anymore.” After Chu Yichen said that, he felt a little wet on his chest. He reached out and touched Chu Yunhan’s head and said, “It’s all in the past.”

The furry head in his arms shifted slightly, accompanied by the sound of sniffling.

“Go to sleep,” Chu Yichen said. He tried to pull the blanket down a little to expose his head, but Chu Yunhan pressed it down firmly, unwilling to let it budge. Knowing that he was trying to hide his tearful face, Chu Yichen chuckled. “Aren’t you afraid of suffocating?”

“It’s not stuffy.” His voice was muffled, nasal from crying.

“You’re just going to sleep like this?”

“En.” He nuzzled into Chu Yichen’s arms again and changed into a comfortable position.

The man smiled and hugged him.

Under the blanket, the two of them were pressed so close together that their heartbeats became indistinguishable from one another.

Chapter 89

This summer holiday, Zhan Weiyang slept in every day and read books in the afternoon. If Pei Qing didn’t work overtime, he would go to Pei Qing for dinner from time to time. Pei Qing would take him to play around on weekends. This was probably the most fulfilling summer vacation Zhan Weiyang had since he started middle school.

Pei Qing liked to see exhibitions—all kinds of exhibitions, and Zhan Weiyang would accompany him regardless of whether he was interested or not. He happily followed Pei Qing, looking at things that he didn’t understand.

Pei Qing also often took Zhan Weiyang to eat delicious food. This confused Zhan Weiyang, and he asked Pei Qing, “Aren’t we very poor?”

Pei Qing said, “Yes, I spent all my money on you to eat meat.”

Zhan Weiyang looked at the meat in the bowl and felt guilty. He said, “Then I won’t eat meat.”

Pei Qing said, “That won’t work. If you don’t eat meat and lose weight, gege will feel bad.”

Zhan Weiyang struggled internally and felt he still wanted to eat meat, so he said, “Then you wait for me. I will definitely work hard to make money when I start working.”

Pei Qing smiled slightly and said, “Okay, so let’s eat meat first.”

Zhan Weiyang nodded shyly. He lowered his head a little embarrassedly and continued to eat.

A month passed in a blink of an eye, and Zhan Weiyang’s birthday was about to come.

Zhan Pengcheng asked him two or three days before his birthday, “How do you want to celebrate your birthday? Let’s go out for a good meal, okay?”

Zhan Weiyang fell into deep thought and did not respond to Zhan Pengcheng in time.

Zhan Pengcheng thought it might be because he wasn’t appealing enough, so he added, “How about we invite Qing gege to join us?”

Zhan Weiyang still did not answer. He actually wanted to spend the day with Pei Qing.

Zhan Weiguang was sitting next to him, initially looking at his phone while eating, and then he looked up at Zhan Weiyang.

Zhan Pengcheng was a little anxious, and he asked Zhan Weiyang, “Then how do you want to spend the day, tell Dad!”

Zhan Weiyang was a little reluctant to reject Zhan Pengcheng directly, and he said, “I don’t know.”

Zhan Pengcheng then said, “Then don’t worry, think about it again. Dad will make time that day, and Dad will accompany you wherever you want to go, okay?”

       Zhan Weiyang nodded reluctantly.

That night, Zhan Weiyang lay on the bed and called Pei Qing to tell him about this.

Pei Qing had just got off work and was waiting for the bus on the roadside. He stood in a corner with his cell phone, and beside him was a bright and hot advertising sign. He said, “Is that so? Then I’ll treat your Dad and your brother to a meal.”

“Hm?” Zhan Weiyang, who had been somewhat absent-minded, immediately looked up upon hearing his words and asked in confusion, “What?”

Pei Qing said, “I said I’ll treat you to a meal on your birthday.”

Zhan Weiyang supported his body with his hands, sat cross-legged on the bed, and asked Pei Qing in surprise, “Do you want Dad and Zhan Weiguang to go?”

At this time, the bus Pei Qing was waiting for came. He got on the bus, walked to the back seat and sat down. He continued to say to Zhan Weiyang, “Don’t you want to have dinner with them?”

Zhan Weiyang whispered, “I think we can have dinner with Dad and the others a day in advance, and then we can have dinner together on the birthday.” This was the result of his consideration for a night, and he felt that this approach would not hurt Zhan Pengcheng’s feelings.

Pei Qing smiled silently and then said to Zhan Weiyang, “There are many opportunities for us to have dinner together. I think turning eighteen is a very important day, and I need to explain it to your father.”

       “Explain?” Zhan Weiyang asked doubtfully.

Pei Qing said, “Yes, it’s a very important day, suitable for doing important things.”

Zhan Weiyang had a vague feeling, and he suddenly lowered his voice and asked mysteriously, “Are you going to tell my father?”

Pei Qing smiled and said nothing.

Zhan Weiyang blinked and said, “I understand.”

Pei Qing said, “Be good. I will arrange it when the time comes.”

On the night of Zhan Weiyang’s birthday, Pei Qing booked a Chinese restaurant with an elegant and quiet environment and invited Zhan Pengcheng and others to have dinner together.

Grandma didn’t go out. She had been having leg pain recently, and it was inconvenient for her to walk. She went to bed early at night and didn’t want to go out, so there were only Pei Qing and the Zhan family’s father and son.

When Zhan Pengcheng arrived, the first thing he said to Pei Qing was, “Uncle is treating tonight; don’t fight with me.”

Pei Qing asked him to sit down first and said, “I have already paid the deposit in advance. This meal should be my treat, don’t worry, Uncle.”

Zhan Pengcheng thought this was strange and said, “Why should it be your treat?”

Zhan Weiguang hadn’t said a word since he arrived at the restaurant. He had a very bad premonition, which made his scalp numb. When Pei Qing and Zhan Pengcheng were talking, Zhan Weiguang glanced at Zhan Weiyang and found that Zhan Weiyang was still silly and happy, which made him even more uneasy.

Although their seats were not private rooms, each table was separated by a booth, and the environment was relatively private and secluded.

The four people sat down, and Zhan Weiyang sat next to Pei Qing. Pei Qing had already ordered the dishes. After the waiter came up to pour tea, he served two plates of cold dishes and left.

Zhan Pengcheng was chatting with Pei Qing and asked him about his work. Pei Qing answered calmly.

Zhan Weiguang sat next to Zhan Pengcheng, feeling uneasy. He even had the urge to stop Pei Qing.

Zhan Pengcheng didn’t notice anything. He thought today was a good day, and he could drink a little.

As a result, Zhan Weiguang and Zhan Weiyang stopped him in unison and told him not to drink.

Zhan Pengcheng measured a small distance between his thumb and index finger and said, “A little bit.”

       “No!” Zhan Weiyang said.

Zhan Pengcheng had no choice but to say, “Today is your birthday, so you have the final say.”

       Zhan Weiyang was relieved.

Pei Qing picked up the teacup and said, “Today, we will use tea instead of wine to wish Yangyang a happy 18th birthday.”

The other people also picked up their teacups and clinked them in the air.

Zhan Weiyang said happily, “I’m finally eighteen years old!”

Zhan Weiguang said to him, “What’s good about being eighteen years old? Isn’t it good to be a child all your life?”

Zhan Weiyang looked at him, “Of course not. I’m not as naive as you.”

Zhan Weiguang endured it and decided not to argue with him.

At this time, the waiter began to serve hot dishes.

Pei Qing ordered most of the dishes that Zhan Weiyang liked. Everyone ate while chatting. Later, unable to resist Zhan Pengcheng’s repeated requests, the two sons reluctantly agreed to let him drink a bottle of beer.

When everyone was full of wine and food, Pei Qing said, “Uncle, I have something to tell you.”

Perhaps his tone was too serious. Zhan Pengcheng, who was originally joking with Zhan Weiyang, suddenly looked at him, his smile became shallow, and said, “Just tell Uncle if you have anything to say.” Zhan Pengcheng thought Pei Qing wanted his help with something.

Zhan Weiguang took a deep breath, unconsciously reached out to hold the teacup in front of him tightly, and anxiously rubbed the smooth cup with his fingers.

Pei Qing said, “Do you remember when I asked you what kind of person you hoped Yangyang would be with in the future?”

Zhan Pengcheng was a little surprised, “Why?”

Pei Qing continued, “You answered me at the time that you hoped it would be a kind person.”

Zhan Pengcheng glanced at Zhan Weiyang. His expression became serious, and he asked Pei Qing, “What’s the matter?”

Pei Qing said, “I hope you can agree to let me take care of Yangyang for the rest of his life.”

Chapter 29

Qian Xiaoke didn’t really want to ask Jiang Tongyan for money; he just wanted to change the subject.

“Be careful.” Seeing Jiang Tongyan bump into the table, he sent a caring words, “Don’t break the table, it’s fragile.”

“… You’re crazy!” Jiang Tongyan yelled at him, “Is it as valuable as a broken table like yours?”

Qian Xiaoke said, “I’ll have to pay for the table if it’s broken.”

“What? Are you afraid of breaking it?”

“That’s your own doing; what does it have to do with me?” Qian Xiaoke’s logic was meticulous, leaving Jiang Tongyan speechless.

It was past six now. Qian Xiaoke usually got up at six-thirty, washed up in a daze, returned to the room to be in a daze for a while, and went out at seven. He always kept his routine well, but today, he was woken up by Jiang Tongyan a bit earlier.

“Are you leaving?” Qian Xiaoke asked.

As soon as Qian Xiaoke finished asking, he suddenly had an idea and said with a smile on his face, “Are you going to our company later? Directly from here? Taking a taxi? Can you give me a ride?”

Jiang Tongyan sneered, “You really know how to take advantage of a situation.”

If there’s an advantage to be taken and there’s a chance to turn the tables on him, of course, Qian Xiaoke wouldn’t miss out on such an opportunity.

“Rest assured,” Jiang Tongyan adjusted his clothes, saying, “Even if I go back to the hotel first, I won’t give you a ride anyway.”

       Qian Xiaoke pouted, “Scumbag.”

“Why am I a jerk now?” Jiang Tongyan felt extremely wronged.

“What do you think? You stayed here overnight, didn’t pay for the room, and you won’t even give me a ride.” Qian Xiaoke said, “If you’re a scumbag, then who isn’t?”

This logic was too powerful, so powerful that Jiang Tongyan had nothing to say and left quickly.

He opened the door, and Qian Xiaoke said, “Do you need me to see you off? Do you know how to get out?”

Just as he was talking, the neighbour who had been howling all night also opened his door.

Qian Xiaoke had met that neighbour several times, so they could be considered ‘acquainted’. When the other party saw him, he looked at Jiang Tongyan again and smiled knowingly, “Hi, good morning.”

Qian Xiaoke felt he might misunderstand something but before he could explain, Jiang Tongyan had already left.

       It was pitch dark.

       It was filthy and chaotic.

       It was a mess.

It was a group of rabble.

Jiang Tongyan didn’t want to stay here for another second.

After he left, Qian Xiaoke went through his usual morning routine, leaving at seven for work, buying an egg-filled pancake outside the neighbourhood, and eating it all the way to the subway station.

Everything was going on in an orderly manner, and there was no difference just because there was one more person sleeping at his home last night.

However, this was just Qian Xiaoke’s opinion.

In Jiang Tongyan’s opinion, he had something important to solve.

Jiang Tongyan first returned to the hotel to shower and then had a meal. After finishing his work, he saw it was almost time, so he picked up the phone and called Cheng Sen.

Cheng Sen had just arrived at the company and was checking his emails. He saw that it was Jiang Tongyan calling, and he smiled when he picked up the phone, “Up so early? Are you coming over this afternoon?”

“Something’s up.” Jiang Tongyan said, “Are you at the company?”

       “Yeah.”

“Okay, then wait, I’ll come over.”

Since Jiang Tongyan was back in the country for a project, Cheng Sen thought he was coming to discuss work, but to his surprise, Jiang Tongyan was in such a rush for something else.

It was ten in the morning when Jiang Tongyan arrived at Cheng Sen’s company. As soon as he walked out of the elevator door, he saw Qian Xiaoke sitting at the front desk.

Qian Xiaoke said naively, “Good morning, Chairman Jiang!”

When Jiang Tongyan saw him, he avoided his eyes for no apparent reason. He dared not look directly at him, and he knew why.

He waved his hand as a greeting and went straight to Cheng Sen’s office.

Qian Xiaoke was too lazy to pay attention to him. He watched him walk away and then continued to do what he had to do.

When Jiang Tongyan passed by Qian Xiao’s front desk, he stole a glance at him from the corner of his eye. When he walked to the corner, he took the opportunity to turn his head and look at Qian Xiaoke.

He watched him, but Qian Xiaoke paid him no mind.

Jiang Tongyan pouted and muttered in his heart: Ungrateful brat!

Jiang Tongyan arrived at the door of Cheng Sen’s office, and Cheng Sen was waiting for him.

“What’s wrong?” Cheng Sen asked, “What happened?”

“Something’s up.” Jiang Tongyan said, “Does your company provide dormitories for employees?”

“Huh?” Cheng Sen was about to get him some water, but this question threw him off, “What dormitories?”

“A lot of your employees are from out of town, right?” Jiang Tongyan sat on the sofa, “Do you manage them all?”

Cheng Sen didn’t understand what he meant at first and thought he was talking about himself, “If you come over, I will definitely arrange something for you.”

“That’s not what I’m talking about.” Jiang Tongyan said, “That’s all easy to say.”

“Then what are you talking about?” Cheng Sen realised after asking and stood there with a cup, looking at him and smiling.

“What are you smiling at? It’s so creepy.” Jiang Tongyan reached out to take the water cup, “Don’t look at me like that.”

“Who are you speaking up for? Qian Xiaoke?” Cheng Sen looked like he saw through everything, “What did he say to you? That kid’s getting bold, even daring to complain about the company.”

“What complaints!” Jiang Tongyan said, “That’s not it. He didn’t say anything.”

Cheng Sen smiled, Then what’s this about?”

“Just asking,” Jiang Tongyan said, “I went to his place yesterday and took a look. That place is not habitable at all. If you live there for a long time, you will become a psychopath.”

He glanced at Cheng Sen, “You wouldn’t want your employees to be psychopaths during their employment, would you? That would be terrifying!”

Cheng Sen leaned on the table and looked at him meaningfully, “It doesn’t matter. If he becomes a psychopath and goes crazy, we can just fire him. It’s not a big deal.”

When he said this, Qian Xiaoke happened to come to deliver a package to Cheng Sen and stood at the door and knocked softly.

Cheng Sen smiled when he saw him, “Xiaoke, perfect timing. I want to ask you something.”

“Sure, ask away!” Qian Xiaoke was just another person in front of Cheng Sen and Jiang Tongyan. When he stood in front of his boss, he was as well-behaved as a harmless little white rabbit. But when he was with Jiang Tongyan, he turned into a crazy rabbit.

“Say, if an employee goes crazy, can we keep him?”

Qian Xiaoke was shocked, “Who? Who went crazy?”

Gossiping is a must. Even in front of the boss, if there’s gossip to be had, it must be had.

“You.” Cheng Sen laughed, “Tongyan just said your living environment is so bad it could drive you crazy. We’re wondering if the company can continue to employ someone with such an unstable mental state, what do you think?”

Qian Xiaoke turned around and glared at Jiang Tongyan when he heard it. The anger in his eyes had soared to Jiang Tongyan’s forehead.

Qian Xiao: “Jiang Tongyan! Do I owe you something?”

Jiang Tongyan thought for a moment, “It seems like you do. Have you not paid back the 20 yuan before?”

Qian Xiaoke heard, “It’s so hard to get a stable job! Why are you doing this to me?”

Jiang Tongyan clicked his tongue, impatiently saying to Cheng Sen, “Why are you scaring him? Could you not start trouble?”

Cheng Sen drank water and laughed at them, thinking these two people were interesting.

“By the way, Xiaoke, what’s going on?”

Qian Xiaoke was full of rage but managed to hold it in front of the boss.

“Well, there’s a package for you.” Qian Xiaoke handed the package to Cheng Sen. When he walked out, he kept looking at Jiang Tongyan viciously.

Jiang Tongyan felt uncomfortable under his gaze, and rolled his eyes and looked out the window.

After Qian Xiaoke left, Cheng Sen laughed, “You two get along pretty well.”

“Who? Who gets along with him? Don’t slander me.”

“If you don’t get along, why come here this morning to talk about this?” Cheng Sen said, “We don’t manage employees’ private lives, nor do we ban office romances. Your coming here in a while won’t affect anything.”

“Can you stop this?” Jiang Tongyan seemed unhappy, “Who wants an office romance with him? I wouldn’t stoop so low to fall for a mad rabbit with no looks, no brains, no quality!”

Jiang Tongyan didn’t feel like talking to him anymore. He stood up to leave, “Even if I were to date, I’d go for that person, what’s his name, the one Zhou Mo introduced, someone with style, grace, eloquence…”

Jiang Tongyan turned around to see Qian Xiaoke standing at the door again.

“Why are you back?” Jiang Tongyan was dumbfounded.

He recalled what he just said, pretty sure Qian Xiaoke heard it all.

But so what if he heard? Was anything he said untrue?

       He wasn’t afraid!

However, when Jiang Tongyan saw Qian Xiaoke staring at him with a dark expression, he still couldn’t help feeling a little guilty.

       What was he afraid of?

       He didn’t know.

Of course Qian Xiaoke heard everything—he had no looks, no brains, and no character.

       He remembered every word!

Qian Xiaoke ignored Jiang Tongyan and said to Cheng Sen, “Chairman Cheng, Manager Guan came looking for you earlier and asked if it was convenient to see you.”

“Okay, let him in.” Cheng Sen glanced at the dumbfounded Jiang Tongyan, not even bothering to mock him, “Tongyan, you’re done here, right? Then let’s talk about other things in the afternoon, I have a guest to entertain now.”

Jiang Tongyan raised his hand and rubbed his eyebrows, “Alright, you get busy, I’ll come back this afternoon.”

He walked out, following Qian Xiaoke with a dejected expression.

This was the second time he got caught bad-mouthing someone behind their back, and Jiang Tongyan felt genuinely ashamed.

He watched as Qian Xiaoke smiled and brought the person who came to see Cheng Sen in and then exited through the door. He watched as Qian Xiaoke didn’t spare him a glance and walked past him, treating him like he was nothing. His heart was clogged with panic.

“That… Well…” Jiang Tongyan stood at the front desk, saying to Qian Xiaoke, “Just now… I’m sorry.”

Qian Xiaoke was really angry, and he felt so wronged.

He thought he had been quite good to Jiang Tongyan, aside from the misunderstanding that made things awkward, he had always been like a ‘benevolent father’ figure, yet Jiang Tongyan spoke of him like that in front of Cheng Sen.

Speaking ill of him was one thing, but trying to get Cheng Sen to fire him was another.

Qian Xiaoke felt so wronged that tears were about to burst out.

Seeing Qian Xiaoke ignoring him, Jiang Tongyan rubbed his hands awkwardly: “I really didn’t do it on purpose.”

“Which one was on purpose then?” Qian Xiaoke looked up and asked expressionlessly, “Was it not intentional to bad-mouth me, or not intentional to get Chairman Cheng to fire me? Jiang Tongyan, I’ve been trying to make it up to you, why do you have to treat me like this? Do you really hate me that much?”

The two of them seemed to be acting in an idol drama, and Qian Xiao’s eyes turned red as he spoke.

Jiang Tongyan never thought it would turn out like this. When he saw Qian Xiaoke was about to cry, he panicked.

He quickly grabbed tissues from the desk, holding them out to catch Qian Xiaoke’s tears.

Qian Xiaoke found his action silly and burst into laughter.

       “Annoying!”

Jiang Tongyan saw him laughing and secretly let out a sigh of relief, “Yes, okay, good, I’m annoying.”

Qian Xiaoke pouted and didn’t say anything.

“Don’t cry,” Jiang Tongyan said, “It really wasn’t intentional. How about this, I’ll treat you to dinner tonight, hotpot or street barbecue, your choice, okay?”

Qian Xiaoke looked up at him. He pursed his lips and muttered, “Is that all I’m worth to you?”

“Huh?” Jiang Tongyan genuinely didn’t know how to soothe someone, always saying the wrong thing.

Qian Xiaoke said, “Eat spicy hotpot and also barbecue.”

He sniffed and said, “Tonight, I want to eat snail noodles!”

Although Jiang Tongyan didn’t know what snail noodles were, he agreed readily, saying to Qian Xiaoke, “Okay, whatever you want to eat.”

He looked quite doting like this.

Jiang Tongyan found that Qian Xiaoke was actually quite easy to coax. Just give him delicious food, and he wasn’t picky. He didn’t need Michelin-starred restaurants, just street food would do.

He asked, “But, what is this snail noodle?”

Qian Xiaoke shook his head and sighed, “You rich people are so ignorant!”

Jiang Tongyan conceded, whatever Qian Xiaoke said today, he’d accept. He didn’t know how, but Qian Xiaoke had him wrapped around his finger. Life was indeed mysterious.

“Then see you in the evening?” Jiang Tongyan said, “I have an appointment with Cheng Sen to discuss something in the afternoon. I guess the meeting will last until quite late. Will you wait?”

“Why not, I’ve got nothing else to do.” Qian Xiaoke had nothing else to do anyway.

Jiang Tongyan’s mood inexplicably improved, not even knowing why.

After Jiang Tongyan left in a good mood, Qian Xiaoke sat there, happily checking the time. He also didn’t understand his own feelings, it was like there was a little bird in his heart, flapping its wings, making him restless, eager to fly.

Maybe it was because of the snail noodles tonight, or because Jiang Tongyan was treating, he’d order an extra large bowl with ten quail eggs!

Cheng Sen had no idea what had transpired outside, unaware of what ‘deal’ his partner had struck with his employee. After finishing his business meeting, he finally sent off the legendary guest who was extremely obsessed with cleanliness just before noon.

Normally, if a client was still discussing business by noon, Cheng Sen would definitely invite them for a meal. But Manager Guan was different—he had a cleanliness obsession and couldn’t handle eating food from outside. Especially in the past couple of years since getting a partner, he had to go home for every meal.

After seeing off the guests, Cheng Sen turned around and looked at Qian Xiaoke who was laughing foolishly.

“What’s up? So happy?” Cheng Sen smiled and walked over, leaning against the front desk and asked, “Have a girlfriend?”

Qian Xiaoke was shocked, “Chairman Cheng! How dare you say such a thing! It’s ruining someone’s reputation!”

Cheng Sen laughed loudly, “Just asking casually, why are you so nervous?”

He tapped the table lightly with his fingers, “Where do you live now?”

Qian Xiaoke frowned and said nervously, “Chairman Cheng! Don’t believe the slander of the wicked!”

“Hmm? Who’s the wicked one? What slander?” Cheng Sen laughed, “Don’t be nervous, just asking.”

“Chairman Cheng, you must believe me, although the place I’m living is bad, living there won’t affect my mental health! It’s quite sunny there!” Qian Xiaoke explained, “And I’ll move out in another month and a half, although I won’t be able to rent a nice place, but it’ll be fine! You have to believe me, Chairman Cheng!”

Cheng Sen looked at him, a little amused. As a boss, he really never asked about the employees’ private affairs, but now listening to Qian Xiaoke’s words, he realised how hard it must be for those who came to work from out of town. Their monthly salaries might be high, but the rent was even higher.

“Okay, I understand.” Cheng Sen walked back thoughtfully.

Qian Xiao had wanted to ask what he knew, but trying to guess what the boss was thinking was pointless. No matter how much he guessed, he would never figure it out. And if he had to guess, he knew better than to ask too much—asking would only have increased his chances of bad luck.

During the lunch break, Qian Xiaoke thought about having a ‘big meal’ in the evening, so he bought a piece of bread and sat there. While eating the bread and playing a mobile game, Jiang Tongyan returned.

Jiang Tongyan originally agreed to meet with Cheng Sen in the middle of the afternoon, but he was really bored in the hotel, so he came early.

As soon as he got out of the elevator, he saw Qian Xiaoke playing mobile games and eating bread there and suddenly felt he was so pitiful.

He was not even having a proper meal for lunch.

       So miserable.

‌It was pitiful to see him.

“What are you doing?” Jiang Tongyan looked at the time, “Are you busy now?”

Qian Xiaoke looked up at him, “Busy.”

“… What are you busy with? Busy playing games?”

“Busy eating!” Qian Xiaoke said, “It’s my lunch break, not taking clients.”

Jiang Tongyan wanted to ask this man to go downstairs to eat together. He was purely pitiful for Qian Xiao, but this kid didn’t appreciate it, so he just left.

Jiang Tongyan rolled his eyes and turned away.

Qian Xiaoke looked up at him, ignored him, and continued to eat bread and play games.

Not long after, Jiang Tongyan returned with a packed lunch box in his hand.

Qian Xiaoke ignored him until Jiang Tongyan put the lunch box in front of Qian Xiao.

“Leftovers, eat it.” Jiang Tongyan said, “A reward for you.”

Qian Xiaoke looked up and said to him, “Your leftovers are so neat?”

       “If I say it’s leftovers, it’s leftovers!”

Qian Xiaoke pouted, “Then I won’t eat! You have a mysophobia!”

Jiang Tongyan was happy, “What’s wrong with you kiddo? You are picky when I give you food.”

“Although poor, but I have dignity, okay!”

“…” Jiang Tongyan turned away, took a deep breath, then turned back, “Fine, I bought it for you.”

Qian Xiaoke hadn’t finished the bread yet and looked at him while biting the bread.

“What are you looking at? Just eat it.”

“Then I won’t eat.” Qian Xiaoke said, “I won’t accept something for nothing. I can’t eat your food without knowing why.”

His eyes lit up, “Unless you want to poison me?”

“Why would I have the time for that? Who are you? Why would I want to poison you?” Jiang Tongyan said, “I just feel sorry for you, eating bread for lunch.”

Qian Xiaoke stared at him and didn’t move.

In the end, Jiang Tongyan gave in first.

“Consider this your medical fee,” Jiang Tongyan said, “Did you not do that for me yesterday?”

       It was self-inflicted humiliation!

Why did he have to bring that up?

Jiang Tongyan bit off his tongue in hatred.

Qian Xiaoke was upset, but he smiled. He put down the bread and opened the lunch box.

“Alright, if you put it that way, I’ll accept it.” He opened it and exclaimed in surprise, “Wow, rich people are really something!”

This restaurant had just opened recently, and Qian Xiaoke had passed by it several times. He looked at the promotional boards but never dared to go inside.

One meal, four dishes, a mix of meat and vegetables, all colourful and aromatic!

Qian Xiaoke said, “Chairman Jiang, you were really not that bad. Just for this meal alone, I’ll definitely give you a good massage tonight!”

“What do you want to massage?” Cheng Sen walked out of the office.

Jiang Tongyan gave Qian Xiaoke a glare, and Qian Xiaoke quickly shut up.

This was Chairman Jiang’s secret, a wound that would bleed if touched.

“Nothing,” Jiang Tongyan said, “Where are you going?”

“I was going to ask you, why are you here so early?” Cheng Sen glanced at the lunch box in front of Qian Xiaoke and knew why Jiang Tongyan had come so early, “Have you eaten?”

“No.” Jiang Tongyan thought: I was busy buying food for this ungrateful brat! And this little bastard still didn’t appreciate it!

       “Together?”

       “Let’s go.”

Cheng Sen turned his head and asked Qian Xiao, “Xiaoke, let’s go eat together?”

Qian Xiaoke almost choked and waved his hand quickly.

Cheng Sen laughed and took Jiang Tongyan downstairs.

In the elevator, Cheng Sen said, “If you’re going to pursue someone, do it properly; don’t act so weird all the time.”

“Who am I pursuing?” Jiang Tongyan’s eyes almost popped out, “Who’s acting weird?”

Cheng Sen just smiled without saying more, enjoying the drama and encouraging them to continue.

Jiang Tongyan then had a meeting with Cheng Sen and the project team that lasted the whole afternoon.

At around 4:00, they left the company to check out a site. Before leaving, Jiang Tongyan secretly told Qian Xiaoke at the front desk, “Wait for me to come back.”

The two of them seemed to have a bit of that secret romance vibe.

Qian Xiaoke got off work at six. Jiang Tongyan thought he’d be back by then, but they encountered some issues, and by the time they were resolved, it was almost six. Cheng Sen invited the project team to dinner, but Jiang Tongyan made an excuse to leave quickly.

Cheng Sen didn’t stop him because he had guessed where he was going.

On the way back from the site, Jiang Tongyan got stuck in traffic. He wanted to call Qian Xiaoke to let him know he was almost there but realised he didn’t have Qian Xiaoke’s number.

       That was awkward.

Jiang Tongyan didn’t want to ask Cheng Sen because it was embarrassing, and he wanted to save his pride.

He was really anxious as if his buttocks were growing grass on the way, making the taxi driver stop and turn around to look at him. The driver almost wanted to recommend a hospital for haemorrhoid treatment.

Jiang Tongyan was very anxious, but Qian Xiaoke was waiting patiently.

He didn’t really want to go home; the office environment was much better than his place.

Jiang Tongyan rushed into the office building, waited anxiously for the elevator, and once inside, he watched the floor numbers. He took deep breaths to calm himself before the doors opened.

When the elevator door opened, Qian Xiaoke looked up.

“You’re back.” Qian Xiaoke was so calm, and then he continued to play games with his head down.

Jiang Tongyan originally imagined that Qian Xiaoke was anxiously waiting and jumping up and down in the company. However, he didn’t expect that it was all in his head.

“What are you doing?” Jiang Tongyan came over, “Still playing?”

“Almost done.” Qian Xiaoke said, “I’m really good at this.”

Jiang Tongyan really didn’t get what was so impressive about playing a match-3 game. If he had the ability to make him hard, now that would be truly impressive!

“Okay, stop playing, pack up and go, I’m starving.”

Jiang Tongyan urged, but Qian Xiaoke insisted on finishing this game.

In fact, Jiang Tongyan was never a patient person. There were not many people who could make him wait.

But he actually stood there and waited for Qian Xiaoke to play games, which was unbelievable.

After finishing, Qian Xiaoke put away his phone contentedly, picked up his small backpack, and followed Jiang Tongyan off work.

When the two walked into the elevator, Qian Xiaoke said, “Do you think we might suddenly have a power outage and get stuck in the elevator?”

“…Qian Xiaoke, what’s in your head? Can’t you think of something good?”

Qian Xiaoke laughed and apologised obediently.

Fortunately, they did not encounter a sudden power outage or get trapped in the elevator. They walked into a snail noodle shop very smoothly.

As soon as they entered the door, Jiang Tongyan frowned and rubbed his nose hard, “What’s this smell? Is this place sanitary? Can we eat somewhere else?”

He found out Qian Xiaoke liked this kind of dirty, smelly food. What kind of person was he?

Qian Xiaoke said, “This taste is authentic! You know, you will understand when the snail noodles come up.”

Jiang Tongyan didn’t understand; he had never eaten this thing before.

Jiang Tongyan stood there and ordered a portion of the snail noodles and then found a place to sit by the window.

Jiang Tongyan was a little overwhelmed by the smell in the room. He wanted to take his head off and put it outside the window.

At this moment, he didn’t know what was coming; when the snail noodles arrived, the smell would be even more pungent!

Jiang Tongyan swore that he would never eat with Qian Xiaoke again!

       “What the hell!”

When the waiter brought a bowl of deluxe snail noodles, Jiang Tongyan’s brain was about to explode.

Are you sure there is no shit in it?

Are you sure this thing is edible?

Are you sure Qian Xiaoke is not deliberately messing with him?

Jiang Tongyan rolled his eyes so hard he nearly fell out of his seat.

Qian Xiaoke said, “I told you, rich people have no experience; this stuff is delicious.”

“… This is a question of whether you have money or not.” Jiang Tongyan said, “Normal people would want to eat shit, right?”

“You are the shit one! Can’t you be more civilised?!” Qian Xiaoke was annoyed; how could one insult snail noodles like that? This was one of humanity’s greatest inventions!

Jiang Tongyan said, “If that’s the case, I’ll pay for it. You can have as many bowls as you want, but I’m leaving.”

“No way!” Qian Xiaoke slammed the table, “You promised to have dinner with me!”

The two people were shouting here, attracting the attention of the people around them. Those who saw thought they were a couple quarrelling.

Jiang Tongyan, “Keep your voice down, keep your voice down, it’s embarrassing.”

It was a Chinese virtue not to make noise in public places.

Qian Xiaoke obediently lowered his voice, “Try it! It’s really delicious.”

He added, “Snail noodles smell bad but taste amazing!”

Jiang Tongyan was frowning, trying to distance himself.

He felt like he couldn’t wear these clothes anymore; he was covered in the smell after sitting there for a while.

Qian Xiaoke really wanted Jiang Tongyan to try it; missing out on this delicacy would be living in vain!

Qian Xiaoke persuaded earnestly, “Chairman Jiang, remember the hotpot we had? You were hesitant at first, but you liked it after trying, right?”

       Seemed like it.

“Also, you resisted the street barbecue at first, but who ate so much last night?” Qian Xiaoke said, “I used to blame and discriminate against you. You rich people are like this, going in and out of high-end restaurants all day but missing out on the real delicacies of the world.”

Qian Xiaoke mixed the snail noodles in the bowl, “Do you know what the most important thing in life is?”

       “Being happy?”

“Exactly!” Qian Xiaoke said, “The most important thing in life is daring to challenge oneself. As a seven feet tall, strong man, isn’t it embarrassing to go out and say you’ve never had snail noodles?”

“Well,” Jiang Tongyan said, “I’m not seven feet tall.”

“Huhh?” Qian Xiaoke was full of question marks. “In ancient times, ‘seven feet’ was roughly equivalent to ‘seven inches’ now. Calculated, it’s about 1.7 meters,” Jiang Tongyan said. “I’m almost 1.9 meters.”

“…That’s not the point!” Qian Xiaoke said, “It’s embarrassing not to have eaten snail noodles!”

Jiang Tongyan looked at him, “Yes, it seems like no one around me has tried them.”

“Then you should definitely try them!” Qian Xiaoke said, “Think about it, they haven’t tried it, but you have. Wouldn’t that make you look cool? More well-informed?”

Jiang Tongyan actually wanted to say that they would not be comparing this. No one would give him a thumbs up and say ‘awesome’ from the bottom of their hearts just because he had eaten snail noodles.

However, seeing Qian Xiaoke so seriously and earnestly in recommending this stinky thing, Jiang Tongyan was actually swayed.

“Try it.” Qian Xiaoke said, “If you don’t believe me, I’ll eat some first.”

Qian Xiaoke picked up a clump of noodles with chopsticks, slurping it down with evident enjoyment, good enough for an advertisement.

Jiang Tongyan had already adapted to the taste a little bit at this time. He felt it was not as pungent and unbearable as at the beginning. Seeing Qian Xiaoke eating so deliciously, he even began to doubt whether he was really ignorant and did not know how to appreciate food.

Jiang Tongyan looked around. Everyone was eating this thing, and everyone was eating with a flushed face.

       Try it?

Maybe he should just try it.

Jiang Tongyan picked up the chopsticks hesitantly.

Sometimes, once the door to this new world was opened, incredible things would happen one after another.

From the day Jiang Tongyan met Qian Xiaoke, he had stepped into a world he’d never known before–the ordinary, lively world of common people.

Jiang Tongyan came from a wealthy family for generations. He was a real ‘golden’ young master and had been living a life of luxury since he was a child. He had always eaten the best steaks, drunk fresh milk, frequented high-end restaurants, and had a private car to ferry him around.

He was the epitome of a pampered life.

However, he was not overly spoiled except when dealing with Qian Xiaoke, where he often lost control of his temper. In front of others, he was always the epitome of grace, though his love life had never been smooth.

Or rather, it had been completely smooth.

In short, Jiang Tongyan never imagined he’d one day sit in an unremarkable street-side shop eating something that smelled this bad.

What he didn’t expect was that this thing was actually delicious!

“Why?” Jiang Tongyan couldn’t fathom how something could smell so bad yet taste so good.

“Amazing, isn’t it?” Qian Xiaoke smiled and raised his eyebrows at him, “Try the peanuts in it, they’re amazing, my favourite!”

Qian Xiaoke was thrilled, feeling like he’d contributed to promoting the cause of the snail noodles business today!

Jiang Tongyan was once again amazed; this stuff wasn’t just edible; it was delicious.

Spicy hot pot, roadside barbecue, snail noodles. He suddenly found that Qian Xiaoke was right, and he was a friend who could be deeply befriended—the premise is that Qian Xiaoke was mute.

After eating, the people came out, and the breeze blew. The ‘wonderful’ smell of snail noodles was everywhere, which made Jiang Tongyan roll his eyes again. Jiang Tongyan, who had eaten and then destroyed the bridge, once again disliked the taste.

       “It stinks.”

“It’s okay.” Qian Xiaoke said, “I’m happy.”

Jiang Tongyan looked at him with a question mark on his head, thinking and wondering what there was to be happy about.

“Chairman Jiang, do you have any plans later?”

“What do you want to do?” Jiang Tongyan suddenly got nervous.

Qian Xiaoke was full, standing there rubbing his bulging belly and said, “I practised a little this afternoon.”

       “Ah?”

“I’ll give you a massage.” Qian Xiaoke said, “If you have nothing to do later, I’ll go back to the hotel with you and give you a massage.”

       Jiang Tongyan was shocked.

       “Qian Xiaoke! Are you serious?”

“Of course, your disease hasn’t been cured yet.”

Jiang Tongyan was starting to question his life.

“Let’s go,” Qian Xiaoke said, “It’s been more than an hour.”

       “…During work hours?”

Qian Xiaoke stopped and smiled awkwardly and said, “Well, you will tell Chairman Cheng, right?”

Jiang Tongyan sneered, “It depends on my mood.”

“So, are you in a good mood now?” Qian Xiaoke’s eyes sparkled, looking at Jiang Tongyan with pure innocence.

       “Neutral,” Jiang Tongyan pretended, “Neutral.”

“Then if I perform a musical duo for you, will you be happy?”

Jiang Tongyan laughed out loud, “You also know to do musical duo? Can you do it alone?”

Qian Xiaoke looked at him and smiled, “See, you’re laughing, which means you’re in a good mood. You won’t tell Chairman Cheng then!”

Such powerful logic left Jiang Tongyan speechless!

“Let’s go,” Jiang Tongyan waved and called a taxi, “I’m impressed by you.”

Qian Xiaoke followed behind and continued to ask, “So what you mean is that you are in a good mood now, right?”

“Yes, yes, if you keep talking, I definitely won’t.”

Hearing what he said, Qian Xiaoke immediately shut up obediently.

Back at Jiang Tongyan’s hotel, as they walked in, Jiang Tongyan started to question his life choices again: What was he doing? Was this not better than seeing a psychologist? Why was he messing around like this with Qian Xiaoke?

Meanwhile, Qian Xiaoke followed behind like a little assistant, reviewing in his mind what he needed to ‘study’ next.

Hold it first, then gently and tenderly…

It would be best to say things like ‘You’re so great’ or ‘You’re so big’ to boost confidence during the process.

Qian Xiaoke really prepared for the lesson!

They went upstairs together and entered the suite.

This time, when Qian Xiaoke walked into this suite again, he had a new appreciation for the place.

3688 for one night, which was 688 more than his rent for a month!

       Luxurious!

       It’s too luxurious!

Qian Xiaoke put his schoolbag aside and then heard Jiang Tongyan say, “Let’s take a shower first.”

       “Okay.”

       “You go too.”

“Huh?” Qian Xiaoke was startled, “Do you want to shower together? That’s not part of the treatment!”

“Shower together, my head.” Jiang Tongyan said, “I’ll use this bathroom, you use that one.”

He removed his clothes and walked to the bathroom, “You’re covered in that smell; you’ll stink up the whole room.”

Qian Xiaoke smelled himself, and indeed, not only his clothes but even his hair smelled of snail noodles.

He trotted off to take a shower, feeling somewhat embarrassed, but then he thought, he had already done those things with Jiang Tongyan. Although it was ‘unfinished and ended halfway’, they had already seen each other naked.

There was no need to be shy.

So, Qian Xiaoke took a comfortable bath.

After he finished his bath, he was fragrant and soft. He walked out in a clean bathrobe hanging in the bathroom and said to Jiang Tongyan happily, “It’s so comfortable. This is the perfect time for grown-ups to do what grown-ups do!”

Jiang Tongyan was in a good mood after taking a bath, but when he heard Qian Xiaoke’s words, he felt that the other party was mocking him.

He stood by the window sipping tea and turned back angrily, but seeing Qian Xiaoke looking all rosy and warm, he felt an indescribable surge of desire.

Qian Xiaoke sat on the bed and patted him, “Chairman Jiang, come on, let’s get started.”

It was late and after the massage, he could go home.

Or so Qian Xiaoke thought, but in Jiang Tongyan’s eyes, this gesture looked like an invitation for something else, something very intimate.

Jiang Tongyan’s heartbeat suddenly quickened. He realized that whenever he was around Qian Xiao now, he would constantly experience that strange, inexplicable feeling—something similar to… the feeling of a crush.

       This was simply wonderful.

He didn’t like fools or sharp-tongued people.

But here he was, his mind and body out of his control, sitting obediently next to Qian Xiaoke.

Qian Xiaoke tilted his head to look at him, “Then let’s get ready.”

Jiang Tongyan’s heart beat fast, and he felt that the blood in his body was flowing backwards.

Given the situation, shouldn’t it be enough?

Qian Xiaoke didn’t notice his unusual behavior; instead, he calmly began his ‘treatment’.

With the heart of a healer, Qian Xiaoke maintained his integrity and composure at this moment.

Qian Xiaoke said, “Chairman Jiang, relax, take a deep breath, and imagine the happiest moment of your life.”

       The happiest moment?

Jiang Tongyan’s face instantly turned red.
