Cherish

Chapter 37 – The Bloom (1)

Moschery was sitting in the garden. It was rare for him to have half a day free. He only wore a simple shirt and trousers and no mask. Zhongyan lay beside him; his wings and back were still covered with rhinestones, shining brightly in the sun.

The Emperor lowered his head and wrote the letter. The dragon was not very well-behaved. The light reflected from the rhinestones on his body dazzled the letter paper. Moschery said coldly with a gloomy face, “Can’t you just be a quiet ugly dragon?”

Zhongyan snorted, and he turned around angrily, facing the emperor with his butt instead.

“…” Moschery was angry, “You tsundere my foot! Tsundere?! Turn your face to me!”

The hottest topic on All Universe 818 these days was about the future Queen. Lin Dongliang’s public relations and media skills were always excellent. Whether through images, videos, or text, he could depict the Emperor and Queen’s emotions in a lingering and heart-wrenching way.

Of course, Qin Yun’s status as a low-level guide had also been questioned. The majority of people didn’t look favourably on it, and there were people who lamented that His Majesty the Emperor was truly romantic or his eyes were blinded by shit.

Butler Ba Jin took the delivered formal wear and turned around to see Moschery glaring at the tablet with an ominous expression. The Emperor’s fingers were sliding very fast, and the old man couldn’t help but worry about whether the LCD screen could withstand it…

“Your Majesty.” Ba Jin tried to divert the Emperor’s attention, “The clothes are here. Do you want to try them on?”

Moschery raised his head and glanced at it perfunctorily, “Yes.” He paused, put down the tablet and ordered, “Show me the white one.”

Qin Yun’s outfits were elegant and exquisite. Moschery carefully checked the details before showing a slightly satisfied look. He suddenly thought of something and asked Ba Jin, “Have the invitations been written?”

Old butler, “I’ve written most of it, and I’ll finish it in a few days.”

Moschery nodded, “Give me a few, and I’ll write them.”

Ba Jin was a little surprised as to why the Emperor would make such a request, but he didn’t ask any more questions and sent over several unopened invitations that night.

The stiff gold-coloured paper was simple and straightforward, not overly decorated with anything other than the names of the two men.

Moschery leaned on the desk, holding a pen and writing slowly in the blank space.

Zhongyan rarely obeyed and lay down at his feet with his belly turned over. The luminous lamp on the table softened the Emperor’s quiet and focused profile.

The first to locate Bixi was Tristana. The female general, looking dishevelled, chased after ‘Little Bixi’ for almost a kilometre before finally stopping her on horseback.

Bixi was petite and looked like a half-grown child from a distance when riding a tall horse. Apart from her long silver hair, her face revealed no signs of age.

Tristana thought with tears streaming down her face… It was not wrong at all to call her little Bixi!

Bixi didn’t seem surprised that Tristana would come looking for her. She glanced around and raised her eyebrows, “Where is my little Rainbow Dash?”

“…” Tristana wanted to complain about the nicknames of this family, but she still held back, “I’ll call him right away! Lord… ah no, Little Bixi!”

“He asked you to call me Little Bixi?” Bixi frowned and sighed helplessly, “This child is still naughty when he grows up.”

Tristana felt happy and was about to change to call her Auntie when she heard the other party say calmly.

“Good girl.” Bixi smiled amiably, “Just call me Sister.”

       Tristana: “…”

When Qin Yun saw the hundreds of horses behind Bixi, his expression was as wonderful as it could be. He held his forehead and said, “You really gathered a massive army for this rendezvous… How old are you? Don’t you remember the time when you threw your back out while walking the horse the year I left?!”

“How long has that been…” Bixi complained vehemently, “Why do you remember it so firmly?”

Qin Yun was angry but found it laughable, “You think everyone is like you, living longer and ageing backwards!” He took a few steps forward to lead the horse Bixi was riding and hugged his adoptive mother off the horse like a little girl.

“You have grown too big.” Bixi supported Qin Yun’s shoulders, “You are not as cute as you were when you were a child.”

Qin Yun rolled his eyes, “I’m really sorry.”

Bixi: “As I get older, my skin is not as good as before, and I have crow’s feet now1Crow’s feet is the common name given to wrinkles which appear at the side of the eyes, stretching out towards the temples..”

       “…” Qin Yun: “That’s enough!”

In the end, it took the combined efforts of the four to drive all the horses into the stables. Qin Yun seriously wondered how Bixi could walk so many horses…

“Keep them loose, with Black Pearl watching over.” Black Pearl is Bixi’s spiritual link, a black Arabian horse. She looked at Qin Yun, “Can’t you see it?”

Qin Yun’s expression froze. He didn’t want to reveal the secret so quickly, but it was obvious that he couldn’t hide it.

“Something happened on the battlefield…” Qin Yun lowered her head and did not dare to look into Bixi’s eyes, “I was injected with a brain nerve-destroying agent.”

Bixi frowned, but she didn’t seem to have an overly worried look on her face. She just asked, “How long have you been like this?”

Qin Yun: “It’s been more than a month.”

Bixi didn’t speak, and the whites of her eyes gradually turned dark grey silver, which slowly faded away after a while, “What does it feel like?”

“?” Qin Yun said sluggishly, “What does what feel like?”

Bixi’s expression became subtle. She took a deep look at Qin Yun and suddenly asked, “I heard you are getting married?”

Qin Yun was stunned for a moment, then reacted and stuttered with a blush, “Yeah, that’s right…”

Bixi laughed and patted Qin Yun’s back gently, “Come on, tell me what kind of person he is.”

The three people who were accustomed to living in the Imperial Capital had not enjoyed such a pristine night for a long time. An endless expanse of green grassland, the silvery moonlight spread all over the sky and the ground. The night breeze swept through, creating layers of undulating grass waves in the dimly lit surroundings.

Herds of cattle and sheep rested in the distance in twos and threes, and a few over-energetic ponies chased each other. Bixi cooked goat’s milk wine and lit a bonfire in front of the yurt.

Tristana dozed off under the warm firelight, and Chen Xiao stretched out his hand to hug her into his arms.

Bixi poured a glass of goat’s milk wine and handed it to Qin Yun, “Is he good to you?”

Qin Yun didn’t know what to say. He pondered for a long time, thinking about the first time he met Moschery. His Majesty the Emperor threw him into the sky like a gymnastic ball. Although he always called him trash, he never really left him behind.

They had accompanied each other step by step to reach this point. Even if the final outcome wasn’t perfect, Qin Yun was still Moschery’s only guide.

Bixi observed his expression, sighed softly, and carefully chose her words, “There may be just such a person in the world with whom you can face bitter failures or sufferings and share warmth and joy as well as happiness, through every day, month, and year…” After a pause, she slowly said, “Their last lifetime.”

Qin Yun was speechless. He only felt that his heart was sore and full, and countless emotions seemed to be surging to the point of pouring out.

Bixi’s expression was gentle. She reached out and touched the end of Qin Yun’s hair, “I think you have found such a person.”

The first thing Moschery did when he woke up early in the morning was to stuff the invitation he had written in the evening into the mouth of the large electronic bird. Zhongyan watched curiously as the emerald green bird fluttered its wings and flew away. It couldn’t help but stretch out his paws and pounced a few times. The bird flew very nimbly between its paws and finally circled a few times and flew out of the window.

The giant dragon stared at the bird’s shadow somewhat lonelyly. It hummed a few times, put the dragon’s head on its paws, and lazily raised its eyelids.

“I know you miss him.” Moschery, in a rare moment not mocking Zhongyan’s behaviour. He stretched out his hand and pressed the dragon’s head hard, “I miss him too.”

Dongliang didn’t react when he received the landing request from Olympus. He read it several times before confirming that the other party was indeed here for a peaceful visit.

Skarter frowned, “Why are they here now? I thought after the Eta Star incident, they and the Empire had completely fallen out.”

Lin Dongliang’s face didn’t look good either. After all, he and Skarter had suffered a lot for this matter before, and now they were still frightened after thinking about it.

“Congratulations on His Majesty’s upcoming wedding.” Lin Dongliang glanced at Moschery, “That’s the banner they’re flying.”

The Emperor smiled sarcastically, “Coming uninvited, thick-skinned indeed.”

Lin Dongliang asked, “Do you want to refuse?”

“It’s not necessary.” Moschery adjusted his cuffs slowly, with a contemptuous expression on his face, “Since they dare to come, there is no reason for me not to answer them. Want to make a scene?”

The Emperor’s face darkened, and he said viciously, “It still depends on whether they are qualified.”

Chapter 36 – The Road (3)

The Crested Ibis stopped among the mountains, its fiery red wings shining in the sun. Chen Xiao reset the coordinates and looked up at Tristana, who was lying on the wing basking in the sun.

“The royal family’s support will arrive in the afternoon. If we leave at night, we can reach our destination at noon the day after tomorrow.” Chen Xiao asked, “When do you want to leave?”

After a long while, Tristana replied lazily, “You fly the aircraft, and drive the road. Why are you asking me.”

“Then we’ll set off at night.” Chen Xiao said without hesitation.

Tristana snorted and murmured, “You’ve already thought about it, and you still want to ask me…”

Chen Xiao raised his eyebrows. He stood under the wing, folded his arms and said calmly, “I’m just looking for an excuse.”

       Tristana: “?”

Chen Xiao: “To talk to the person I love.”

“…” Tristana blushed and gritted her teeth, “Cheesy! Scumbag!”

Qin Yun placed several familiar weapons on the ground to practice assembly and disassembly and was immersed in his work. Suddenly, the cry of an electronic bird came from above his head, and an emerald fax bird flew above. Qin Yun raised his face and smiled.

Moschery’s handwriting was neat, and every stroke appeared to be extremely earnest.

“Don’t let yourself get hurt.” The Emperor’s beginning was simple and clear, “I have sent an escort for you. Remember to hide at the back when encountering problems. Don’t rush to the front like a fool.”

       Qin Yun: “…”

“Think of me every day.” With a vacant line, Moschery wrote, “Think more seriously, don’t do it half-heartedly.”

Qin Yun couldn’t laugh or cry. He hadn’t expected that when Moschery said he wrote cheesy stuff, it wasn’t just a polite remark. It was really foul to write the letter like a love letter.

His Majesty the Emperor continued to write, “Zhongyan misses you very much. He plays with the crystal bones you made every day. I really want you to see how stupid he looks now, how stupid he can be.”

“…” Qin Yun imagined that scene, and his shoulders twitched as he couldn’t help laughing. He simply lay down on the grass, raised the letter above his head and read it slowly.

One-fifth of Moschery’s letter was used to inform him of the situation and to tell him not to do this or do that. The remaining four-fifths were either words of love or nagging.

Qin Yun had witnessed the Emperor Majesty’s peculiar side as a ‘friend to women(?)’…

“Today, I actually saw Skarter knitting a scarf for Lin Dongliang.” Moschery said in the letter, “He also said that he has no way to control his body temperature and that he has to rely on external objects to keep his cold neck warm in winter… What about me? Scarves are all over the streets, and he won’t buy one. Lin Dongliang wearing the ugly one he knitted would be a sight!’”

Then, the Emperor’s writing seemed to become hesitant. He scribbled and revised it for a long time before finally asking, “Are you afraid of the cold in winter? What colour do you like for your scarf?”

The mountain breeze was gentle, and the sunlight dappled through the branches and fell on the grass carpet. Qin Yun couldn’t help but cover his face with the letter paper, and his nose was filled with the fragrance of ink.

After a long time, he turned over and sat up, carefully folding Moschery’s letter into his arms.

Since Berlin was grounded, the Cabinet’s actions have obviously become much lesser. The Emperor’s statement that he wanted to find out who attacked the Queen’s spacecraft was obviously not just a talk. If he really wanted to peel off the cocoon layer by layer, the consequences would definitely be disastrous.

       The Cabinet finally panicked.

First, they publicly issued a statement in support of the Emperor’s wedding, and then the royal family took back Skarter’s military power on the grounds that they needed to send someone to escort the Queen back to his mother’s home for a visit.

When everything was settled, Berlin was finally released from being grounded two days later.

His Majesty the Emperor once again graciously visited the residence of the Prime Minister. The Iron Lady’s expression was extremely unpleasant. She stared coldly at Moschery’s face, “Are you satisfied this time, Your Majesty?”

Moschery nodded indifferently, “I hope you can keep up, Madam.” He waved his hand to signal the withdrawal of the guard.

“The wedding will be held as planned when Qin Yun comes back.” Moschery ordered in a calm tone, “Please give my Queen a bigger red envelope. After all, this is only a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

       Berlin: “…”

Although Paulie stayed on the Crested Ibis as a captive, her treatment was obviously much better. Tristana and Chen Xiao didn’t take her seriously at all, and the only one who looked the weakest was actually the most difficult to deal with…

When Paulie started crying again, Qin Yun had no choice but to acknowledge that this child might be made of water…

“We won’t do anything to you.” Qin Yun touched his head in embarrassment, “You can go back if you want… Should I ask the escort to take you away?”

Paulie was sobbing and wiping tears, “How could I still have the nerve to go back… Averio must have expelled me…”

Qin Yun: “Then you can go to the military headquarters. You are so capable. The military has always been in short supply of high-level guides.”

Paulie lowered her head and cried silently, giving people the illusion that she wished she could cry forever…

Qin Yun sighed helplessly and frowned, “You are embarrassing Averio like this. As the guide’s representative, is crying the only thing you can do?”

Paulie probably didn’t expect that the other party would say harsh words. She was stunned on the spot, with wet tears still on her face.

Qin Yun said with a cold expression, “The country doesn’t want to see the academy raised a trash like you. There are no tears on the battlefield. If you fail, your life will be lost. Do you understand?”

Paulie subconsciously sat upright, not daring to cry anymore. She looked at the other person with a blank look and nodded after hesitating for a long time. Qin Yun finally eased his expression. He left the food for Paulie and walked out alone.

Tristana leaned against the door and smiled when she saw him coming out, “Nice momentum.”

Qin Yun didn’t expect to be looked at by her, and he was a little embarrassed. Just when she was about to say a few polite words, she heard the female general sigh, “Finally, you have the Queen’s aura. His Majesty is really good at teaching you. Not bad.”

       Qin Yun: “…”

Under the protection of the escort, the Crested Ibis arrived at Horqin Grassland at noon on the third day. However, when they arrived at Qin Yun, they discovered that their thinking was too simple… The grassland was so big and they didn’t even know where Bixi is?!

“Let’s find a yurt1A yurt or ger is a portable, round tent covered and insulated with skins or felt and traditionally used as a dwelling by several distinct nomadic groups in the steppes and mountains of Inner Asia first.” Chen Xiao suggested, “People have to live somewhere.”

Tristana couldn’t help but start arguing with him again, “You are stupid! Thousands of yurts all have the same shapes, do you think you this is a spot the difference game?!”

Chen Xiao was dissatisfied, “Do you not understand the road is right under your nose2Prose written by Taiwanese famous prose writer Zhang Xiaofeng? Do you think your mouth can be used for other purposes besides eating?”

Tristana was furious, “I’m going to bite you, you idiot! It’s a pity that I only have one mouth to curse you, and that’s not enough!”

       Qin Yun: “…”

The two argued for a long time with no result, and finally, Qin Yun came up with an idea.

“I think the one with the most horses should be Bixi’s house.” He found several of the largest horse farms and marked them, “We can search for these places separately… We can just meet up with each other after we find Bixi.” ”

“But…if you find her first, don’t call her Aunt or Auntie.” Qin Yun said with an extremely serious expression.

Tristana and Chen Xiao looked at each other, “Why?”

Qin Yun: “We can’t call her old anyway…”

Tristana was a little curious, “You didn’t call her mom before?”

Qin Yun said in horror, “Of course not…she will kill me.”

“…” Chen Xiao, “Then what did you call her?”

Qin Yun struggled for a while, then reluctantly said, “…Little Bixi.”

       Tristana: “…”

       Chen Xiao: “…”

The author has something to say:
Sorry…  I’ve been as busy as a dog at the bank recently… The news about the adjustment of national interest rates is reported every day… I really can’t spare the time to type… The outline is all written…

Qin Yun will be able to regain his guide ability in five chapters. I will try my best to keep updating daily…maybe the number of words will be smaller…just think of it as a way to save money ORZ

Notes:
Qin Yun was actually telling them not to call Bixi 阿姨(Ai) : woman of similar age to one’s parents or 伯母(bomu) : polite form of address for a woman who is about the age of one’s mother
Anything but a name that indicated Bixi is old, kek

Chapter 35 – The Road (2)

When Qin Yun woke up in the morning, he found Moschery’s letters crumpled in his embrace. After staring blankly for a while, he carefully smoothed out the paper and placed it beneath his pillow.

There was an eerie silence in the cabin. Qin Yun opened the sunshade and realised that it was not completely bright yet.

The communication device at hand rang, and Tristana’s serious face appeared on the holographic image, “Stay in the room, and don’t come out. Don’t make any noise, and I’ll come down to pick you up.” As soon as she finished speaking, she didn’t wait for the other party to reply. The female general immediately closed the call.

Qin Yun frowned. After waiting for a while, he heard Tristana knocking on the door outside.

“Have you put on the bulletproof vest?” The whites of Tristana’s eyes have turned light red, “Let’s go to the c0ckpit.”

“What’s wrong?” Qin Yun followed her, “Did someone from the Cabinet attack us?”

Tristana opened the aisle door cautiously and leaned over to take a look, “There was a spaceship following us when we left the port. I thought they wouldn’t take action so quickly… but it turned out they were less calm than I expected.”

The female general motioned for the other party to lower his body. The two of them had only taken a few steps forward when Tristana’s expression turned ugly, “High-level guide… Damn it! They released the mental web!” She pushed Qin Yun, and the whites of her eyes almost turned bloody red, “I’ll hold them off. Hurry to the c0ckpit.”

Qin Yun didn’t even hesitate for a second; he turned around and ran away. In the end, when he just walked through the corridor, he bumped into a guide. The whites of the eyes were emerald green, and the pupils were staring at him for a moment.

       Qin Yun: “…”

The guide’s expression was a little surprised, “Eh…it’s useless?”

Qin Yun said nothing and knocked the opponent unconscious with a knife.

When Tristana rushed over, Qin Yun had already knocked out 5 or 6 guides in a row. He looked very relaxed and did not seem to be under attack.

“…They didn’t hypnotise you?” Tristana didn’t believe it, “What on earth did you do?”

Qin Yun scratched the back of his head. His expression was honest, and his tone was very innocent, “I don’t know…it seems like their mental power is of no use to me?”

“…” Tristana: “How is it possible… you are no longer a guide.”

Qin Yun shrugged. He actually didn’t know how to explain it, so he just kept silent.

When the two rushed to the c0ckpit, Chen Xiao was confronting a sentinel. Qin Yun only heard Tristana yelling, “Scum!”

A slap mark instantly appeared on Chen Xiao’s face…

       Qin Yun: “…”

Chen Xiao was so angry that he almost vomited blood, “Can you be gentler when you are doing mental assistance?! You slap me with the guiding tendrils every time! It hurts so much!!”

“You have the nerve to ask for my help in beating up a stupid bear!” Tristana counterattacked nonchalantly, “You’re impotent, aren’t you?!”

Chen Xiao gritted his teeth, “I’ll let you taste whether I’m impotent or not… I’ll fvck you to death, you little bitch!”

Tristana let out a ‘ha’ sound, “You’re all talk! If you are a man, come here!”

       Qin Yun: “…”

Chen Xiao’s scimitar was like a silver-white moon hook. He jumped behind the opponent, grabbed the handle of the knife and slashed the sentinel’s throat.

Tristana curled her lips in disgust, “Finally, it’s settled…”

Chen Xiao ignored her with a sullen expression and looked at Qin Yun, “How many guides have you guys finished?”

Qin Yun calculated, “The general finished one, and I knocked out six…”

“Knocked out?” Chen Xiao raised his eyebrows, “You’re quite formidable, aren’t you?” He wiped the blood on his scimitar casually on his pants, “The remaining guides probably have sentinels accompanying them, which could be more troublesome.”

Tristana sneered, “Just take them down; no need for so much nonsense.”

“Um…” Qin Yun raised his hand weakly, “Can you give me a weapon?”

“This is a high-energy cannon.” Tristana struggled to lift an oversized barrel, “The recoil is too strong for guides to use normally, but it’s quite effective. A headshot from this, and even sentinels can’t handle it.”

Qin Yun took it easily and put it on his shoulder. He glanced at the alignment lens, “Not bad, it should be fine.”

“…” Tristana, “I didn’t expect that you are quite strong…”

Qin Yun smiled, “When I went to the front line, I had to carry a 20 kilogram medical bag… bbut it’s a struggle to get up to 40kg, and I can’t stand it too much with the Dragon Scale.”

“Dragon Ccales can’t even be lifted by an ordinary sentinel.” Tristana rolled her eyes, “Do you think everyone is as sick as His Majesty?”

Qin Yun smiled and said nothing. Perhaps in the eyes of others, Moschery was powerful and invincible, crushing everything in his path, but in Qin Yun’s heart, it wasn’t so.

His Majesty, the Emperor, was childish yet strangely romantic. He might have a bad temper but was very good at taking care of others, stubborn with words, adorable in a quirky way, yet headache-inducing when being stubborn.

“Even without the guide ability, I don’t consider myself useless,” Qin Yun said calmly, his gaze steady and determined. “I want to stand by his side openly and honourably.”

In the palace, Lin Dongliang was staring nervously at the transmission system. He was slowly reading the holographic images and pictures sent by Chen Xiao. Skarter stared at the screen and squinted slightly, “Pull back the picture just now.”

Lin Dongliang glanced at him and dragged it back obediently.

“It’s Paulie.” Skarter confirmed, looking at Moschery standing by the window, “This year’s Averio Academy representative, the one who wanted to give you mental guidance but almost had a nervous breakdown herself.”

Moschery had a cold expression as if he didn’t remember who she was.

Skarter didn’t expect him to remember. He asked Lin Dongliang to download all the parts with Paulie and handed them to him, “Are you going to the Cabinet now?”

“No, we are not going to the Cabinet.” His Majesty the Emperor arranged his gloves. He motioned to Ba Jin to hang up his cloak and said calmly, “Since the Cabinet has the right to break into the Secretary of State’s residence, then it is not a big deal for me to go to the Prime Minister’s house.”

Mrs. Berlin was drinking morning tea in the courtyard. She had already put on formal clothes, and her hair was meticulously done, so when her butler ran over in a panic, the Iron Lady was not in a very happy mood.

“What are you doing so rashly?” Berlin frowned and put down the teacup gently, “Don’t you understand the rules?”

The butler was so anxious that he couldn’t speak. He shook his hands and pointed backwards desperately.

Only then did Berlin realise that something was wrong. She quickly turned around and saw the Imperial Royal Guards landing in a row on the lawn in her yard.

       Berlin: “…”

The leading aircraft covered with rhinestones slowly opened the hatch, and Moschery looked down at the Prime Minister of the Cabinet.

“Good morning, Madam.” The young emperor took off his military cap, and the mask on half of his face covered the cold and hard lines of his face, “I hope you will be in a happy mood like me today.”

       Berlin: “……”

Mrs. Berlin looked calmly at Paulie’s clear face in the holographic image. Moschery drank tea leisurely. Only Lin Dongliang’s expression was solemn, “According to the Imperial Act, anyone who endangers the safety of His Majesty and the Queen will be punished with serious consequences for treason.”

Berlin sneered, “Even if Paulie is the representative of Averio Academy, she cannot represent the Cabinet. Moreover,” She glanced at Moschery: “Guide Qin is not a Queen yet.”

“I remember.” Moschery tapped the teacup lightly, “Madam, you were also present when I proposed.”

Berlin: “But the Cabinet has not acknowledged it until now. Your Majesty, marriage is not a child’s play. Aren’t you being too willful?”

Moschery sneered, “Then who do you think has the right to decide my marriage?”

Berlin opened her mouth. She wanted to say something, but she was unable to get a word out after seeing the Emperor’s cold eyes.

“The Cabinet has always advocated hierarchical rule, so I will follow your rules.” Moschery stood up. He was tall, and the scarlet cloak behind his back was heavy and gave pressure, “I believe you must have heard a lot about it in history. The Emperor’s foolish deeds in order to favour his concubine.”

Berlin’s face turned pale. She straightened her back and said sternly, “Your Majesty, please pay attention to your status!”

“My status?” Moschery smiled contemptuously, “My status is the Emperor, a god-level sentinel. I have absolute dominance over you, including this Empire.” He looked at Lin Dongliang and calmly ordered, “From now on, all military activities of the Cabinet will be cancelled, Prime Minister Berlin will be grounded, and we will find out who ordered the academy to attack the Queen’s spaceship.”

Berlin could barely stand, and she stared at the young emperor in horror.

Moschery: “I will let the Cabinet see what hierarchical dictatorship is.” He took back his military hat again, and the shadow cast by the brim of the hat covered his cold mask, “If my Queen loses even a hair, I will make the entire Cabinet cease to exist forever.”

“Of course, the Cabinet can also try to challenge my authority. As for the consequences.” Moschery said coldly, “It is not something you can afford.”

Tristana extended the guiding tendrils as far as possible, but she still couldn’t reach Qin Yun, who was hiding in the dark. She couldn’t help but be distracted from time to time.

“Believe in your comrades on the battlefield.” Chen Xiao inserted the machete back into his back. He kicked the corpse on the ground and looked at Tristana’s tired expression, “Do you still have enough mental strength?”

Tristana said harshly, “Go to those who want to kill you.”

Chen Xiao curled his lips and suddenly reached out and grabbed Tristana’s chin, lowered his head and blocked her mouth.

The sentinel’s abundant pheromones nourished the guide’s overdrafted mental energy. Tristana didn’t even have the strength to struggle. She wanted to tear the other person to pieces while she couldn’t control herself and sucked in more.

The two of them were kissing, and they were inseparable from each other. Suddenly, a loud ‘bang’ exploded behind Chen Xiao.

Tristana was startled, and Qin Yun’s joking voice came from her communication device, “I’ll help you take care of the troublesome individuals… Do you want to continue, General?”

Chen Xiao cursed. He looked down at the sentinel on the ground with half of its head blown off and was speechless for a long time. However, the next second, another sentinel two meters away from him was once again blown to cinders before he could get close enough.

“…” Tristana, “Was he really a guide?!”

Chen Xiao was also a little speechless. He had never seen Qin Yun’s archery skills, and his accuracy was indeed good. But then, after all, this man had been well protected by Moschery before and did not have much room to show off.

“How many have you killed?” Chen Xiao silently counted his head count with uncertainty. For the first time, he felt unsure…

“15…16? It seems to be a few more than you.” Qin Yun said nonchalantly, “By the way, I also arrested a guide. She said her name was Paulie. Do you know her?”

Tristana: “…How is her mental state now?”

Qin Yun said awkwardly, “Not very good. She’s been crying… Can you stop her from crying?”

“Haha.” Tristana mocked, “The representative of Averio Academy this year was caught by a person who used to be a low-level guide. If it were me, I would cry too.”

       Qin Yun: “…”

Chapter 34 – The Road (1)

Qin Yun was preparing the things he would take with him when he left, while Moschery hesitated and reluctantly lingered. In the end, he still had to see off his soon-to-be wife.

“I’ll let Chen Xiao and Tristana protect you.” The Emperor was still stuffing things into his guide’s travel bag, “The two of them might argue a bit on the way, but if they start fighting, make sure to stay away.”

Qin Yun: “…how many gifts have you prepared for me?”

Moschery, “It will come in handy after all.” He glanced at Qin Yun, “Remember to say good things about me in front of mother-in-law.”

“…” Qin Yun joked, “She would be happy if you would call her mother-in-law.”

Moschery had a look of ‘you owe me something’. He leaned forward, turned his face and kissed Qin Yun’s lips, resting his forehead against his, “I will write to you.”

Qin Yun was confused, “Isn’t there a communication device… We can see each other.”

Moschery took a deep breath, looked at the other person depressedly, and muttered, “Forget it.”

       Qin Yun: “??”

Moschery roughly ruffled his bangs, “Don’t miss me.”

The Royal Guards personally escorted Qin Yun to the port of the Imperial Capital. Moschery got off the ship first, unfolded the cloak behind him to wrap his guide in full view, and took the person directly off the ship.

Chen Xiao was waiting for the two of them under Tristana’s Crested Ibis. He saw Moschery and gave a military salute.

“Where’s General Lane?” Qin Yun looked around and couldn’t find Tristana.

Moschery said calmly, “They don’t dare to argue in front of me; the other one must be hiding.”

       Qin Yun: “…”

Chen Xiao: “The little cannon girl is so thin-skinned.” He was a little shocked when he saw the luggage behind Qin Yun. “Your Majesty…are you going to move the entire empire back to your mother’s house?”

Because there were so many things, it took the two parties a long time to move them completely. When Qin Yun boarded the Crested Ibis, he couldn’t help but look back at Moschery. His Majesty the Emperor stood under the hatch and looked up at him.

“I will write you a letter.” The sentinel still insisted, “You must read it.”

Qin Yun: “I will read it.” He emphasised with a smile, “I’ll try to memorise them all.”

Moschery also smiled; his smile was very light, the curve of the corners of his lips softened slightly, and the mask on half of his face glowed with a gentle silver light.

“Bon Voyage.” His Majesty the Emperor said calmly. He watched the Crested Ibis slowly close the hatch, blocking Qin Yun’s figure bit by bit.

Zhongyan suddenly rose into the sky, and the dragon let out a long roar, flapping its wings and following the Crested Ibis. Qin Yun pressed against the window of the flight cabin and opened his eyes wide in surprise.

He didn’t know what kind of method Moschery used. He actually ‘pasted’ rhinestones on the back and chest of Zhongyan’s wings. Although the technique was rough and chaotic, he could still vaguely see the shadow of a dragon.

The huge rhinestone dragon flew around the Crested Ibis. Zhongyan turned his belly and flew on his back. He always tried to show Qin Yun the place with the most diamonds, as if he understood that only in this way could the other party see it.

“You have become a veritable golden dragon.” Qin Yun said to himself, almost crying with laughter. He wiped the corners of his eyes and waved to Zhongyan.

There was a message from Moschery on the communicator, “Come back soon.”

After a while, there was another message.

       “I miss you already.”

Tristana showed up after waiting for Chen Xiao to go to the c0ckpit. She didn’t look good, and she sniffed. Her expression was almost distorted when she smelled the pheromones left by Chen Xiao.

“Why is he the sentinel who matches me 100%?” Tristana covered her face in despair.

Qin Yun sympathised with her a little, “Your relationship…well, how could it be so bad?”

Tristana said bitterly, “When he was 20 years old, I was only 12 years old. When we first met, this bastard wanted to mark me… Damn it! I was still a loli at that time! Such an innocent, romantic and simple loli! Is he still a human being?! Is he even a human?!”

“…” Qin Yun actually wanted to defend Chen Xiao. A 20-year-old was still very young… The attraction between a 100% match was something that couldn’t be controlled so easily.

“Forget it, let’s not mention that scumbag.” Tristana waved her hands irritably. She crossed her long legs on the chair in front of her and said with a serious expression, “Actually, His Majesty also has his own considerations in letting you go to Bixi this time. In the near future, The imperial family plans to shake up the Cabinet, so it is necessary to let you stay away from the centre of the political storm, but we didn’t rule out that old witch Berlin will jump over the wall to cause trouble for us.”

Qin Yun: “Looking for trouble with me? How?”

Tristana: “Assassination and kidnapping, whatever you can think of, the Cabinet can do it. If not, why do you think His Majesty would send me and Chen Xiao to protect you?”

       Qin Yun: “…”

“Although that scumbag and I have always been at loggerheads, in terms of combat power, Lin Dongliang and Skarter are no match for us.” Tristana said condescendingly and proudly, “Don’t worry, this lady will let you safely become the king’s man!”

Qin Yun wiped his sweat, “That’s really… I’m sorry to trouble you…”

On the way back, Moschery was swiping his ‘antique’ grade diamond shell tablet. As expected, a picture of a rhinestone dragon appeared on All Universe 818. Although it was too far away and the rhinestones were too messy to see clearly, the shape of the dragon was impossible to miss.

“Asking for identification!!! Is this the legendary divine spiritual link?!! It’s the first time I’ve seen something like this in my life!!! His Majesty’s dragon is indeed not like our ordinary ones!!! The headline must be long long long long!!!!”

Within a few minutes, there were hundreds of replies on this page. Some people questioned, “Isn’t the spiritual link invisible to ordinary people? I heard that His Majesty’s spiritual link is not even visible to other sentinel and guides… What’s with this sudden posting of rhinestones for?”

There were LS+1 posts at the bottom, and some of them directly thought it was PS, and there was a reason to draw a red circle.

Moschery ignored the other questions. He went to his alt account and replied with three words after the sentence, ‘What’s with this sudden posting of rhinestones for?’

       “To coax my wife.”

When Skarter was browsing the post in the morning, he almost burst out laughing when he saw the Emperor’s reply. He invited Lin Dongliang to look at it together and joked, “Probably because, in the past, the shadow of loneliness and growing old alone was too deep. Finally having a wife now… Your Majesty, you really are extraordinary in your efforts.”

Lin Dongliang had a headache. He always felt that the monarch he decided to be loyal to was good at everything, but sometimes, he was too determined and could not be pulled back, even with eight horses in things he believed in.

Of course Moschery knew what they were looking at, but the Emperor only glanced at it lightly, then lowered his head and continued to read his documents.

“Your Majesty… the more you care about Guide Qin, the clearer the Cabinet will know where your weaknesses are.” Lin Dongliang sighed, “Aren’t you worried?”

“What about?” Moschery asked without raising his head.

Lin Dongliang frowned. He couldn’t tell for a moment whether he was worried about the Emperor or Qin Yun, or both.

“He is indeed my weakness.” Moschery said suddenly, closing the document in his hand, “But he is also my armour.”

“Be injured and then get stronger.” The Emperor lifted his chin, calmly looking at the other person. “I won’t make the same mistake twice.”

Qin Yun was about to fall asleep at the bottom of the cabin when he heard the cry of the electronic bird. An emerald coloured fax bird opened its mouth and slowly spit out a handwritten letter.

Qin Yun took a piece of clothing and put it on, then laid the letter flat on his knees.

“It’s very cold in the north. Please keep warm.” The beginning of Moschery’s letter was a bit simple and crude. Qin Yun couldn’t help laughing and got into bed. He continued to read carefully.

“I haven’t written for a long time. It’s not very pretty. Don’t take it personally.” There was a blank line in the middle, “How many times did you miss me today?”

Qin Yun silently counted in his mind and found that he couldn’t count no matter how hard he counted, so he simply gave up.

Moschery went on to write, “I’m suspicious that the Cabinet colluded with Olympus, but due to lack of evidence, the investigation of Eta Star was forced to be suspended. It’s not easy to act against them, but we must also strive to regain control of Skarter’s military authority.”

Qin Yun frowned and looked down.

“PS: Skarter doesn’t do anything right now. He follows Lin Dongliang around every day… Flaunting their love in front of me. It’s truly annoying!”

       Qin Yun: “…”

“Zhongyan didn’t want me to remove the diamonds on it. That idiot dragon still thought he was so good-looking. He kept basking in the sun all day long to keep the gold sparkling all the time.”

       Qin Yun: “Pfft…”

There was a large section of erased marks in the middle, and it could be seen that it was all complaints about Zhongyan. His Majesty the Emperor probably realised that he was a bit verbose, but he was too embarrassed to show it in front of Qin Yun, so he could only summarise with a somewhat exasperated tone, “I told you not to spoil him too much, but you wouldn’t listen. Now, he’s becoming more unruly. A doting mother spoils the child!”

“…” Qin Yun touched his nose and turned the page.

“Ba Jin made apple pie today, so I had to eat it while you were away.” Moschery added a note at the bottom: “PS: I’m also learning. I’ll make it for you when you come back.”

Qin Yun held a small moment of silence for Ba Jin’s kitchen, and he read the bottom of the letter.

“No matter what happens to the Cabinet and the royal family or what happens to Eta Star or Olympus, I will protect you and never let you be harmed again.” Moschery’s handwriting was deep. He seemed to have been thinking for a long time, and there were even drops of ink marks on the paper.

The Emperor wrote at the end: “I swear on my life that I will give you happiness. — I love you, Moschery•Xi Zhao•Issa.”

Chapter 33 – Morning Cloud (3)

After persisting for more than a month, the war on Eta finally came to an end with a settlement. For the imperial monarch, who seemed ambitious to the outside world, this result was not satisfactory. Moschery’s first defeat since taking office was, after all, at the hands of Olympus.

Although Arthur eventually leaned towards the royal family, Skarter’s military power was stripped by the Cabinet.

“Your Majesty is still too young.” Mrs. Berlin said lightly, “I hope you will not be so hasty about marriage, lest it ultimately fail.”

Moschery’s face was very grim. He did not show anger and spoke calmly, “I always remember what you taught me as a child, to stick to my emotions and political stance.” The young emperor paused and looked at Berlin, “I’ve never let you down in all these years, have I?”

Qin Yun now went to Chris for check-ups every day. He seemed to be very interested in curing his brain nerves, although the effect has been minimal.

“The brains of the guide and sentinel are very strange.” Chris took the report and analysed it, “The brain nerve disruptor is completely useless to the sentinel. It should be said that aside from their own genetic flaws, the existence of sentinels is like a powerful bug… Is it probably because they were created by humans?”

“…” Qin Yun: “Actually, I don’t understand what you are telling me…”

Chris looked at him with a lot of dissatisfaction, “You are about to become the First Lady; can’t you make some contribution to the country’s scientific research culture?”

Qin Yun was heartbroken and said, “I volunteered myself for you to study as you like… What else do you want?!”

Ba Jin was waiting all the way at the entrance of the palace for Qin Yun to get off the aircraft. He took the physical examination report from the other party’s hand with a very sad expression.

“Your Majesty is in a bad mood today.” The old butler Ba Jin sighed.

“What’s wrong?” Qin Yun stopped changing his shoes and frowned, “Did you have another quarrel with the Cabinet this afternoon?”

Ba Jin: “And the conflict on Eta Star… Losing a war is never a good thing.”

Qin Yun nodded. He washed his hands and prepared to look for Moschery. However, he turned around and couldn’t find him, so he had no choice but to continue looking in the garden.

Finally, he found His Majesty the Emperor beneath the royal extravagant gold aircraft he decorated.

Moschery was lying on the turf with his arms as a pillow. The sun had just set, and the afterglow covered his face gently. Qin Yun looked aside for a while. As soon as he crouched down, Moschery suddenly pressed his shoulders and pulled him into his arms.

“…” Qin Yun’s side face was pressed against the Emperor’s chest, “Aren’t you asleep?”

Moschery didn’t open his eyes. He pinched Qin Yun’s neck for a long time before he lazily spoke, “What are the results of the examination?”

“It’s still the same.” Qin Yun said sadly, “Chris can’t cure it either.”

Moschery lowered his head, held Qin Yun’s face, and rubbed his nose, “I don’t mind.”

Qin Yun was coaxed to laugh out loud by him, but Moschery remained expressionless, stroking his guide’s hair again and again.

“I’m sorry.” Moschery said suddenly. He pressed Qin Yun’s head to prevent him from looking up and seeing his face, “I’m a loser. I couldn’t protect you.”

Qin Yun wanted to struggle but was held tightly by Moschery.

“Listen to me.” Moschery said helplessly, “I don’t just want to repent.”

Qin Yun was stiff and did not move. The sentinel’s hand squeezed his neck lightly or hard. Moschery’s voice was low and gentle. He said slowly, “I love you, and I want to marry you.”

“…” Qin Yun was silent, “Didn’t you say yes to it before?”

“The previous one doesn’t count. I didn’t make a good draft and was too nervous.” Moschery frowned. He thought for a long time and came to the conclusion, “It’s not perfect enough.”

Qin Yun: “…do you have to do this every time before doing something important?”

Moschery looked at him, “What kind?”

Qin Yun shrugged, “Drafting, writing a script, making a strategy?”

“No, Lin Dongliang will be in charge of meetings or speeches.” Moschery said coldly and expressionlessly, “I will prepare it myself if it is something I want to do for you.”

       Qin Yun: “…”

Moschery: “There are also reflections and diaries.”

       Qin Yun: “…can I take a look?”

“Maybe it’s better not to.” The Emperor said awkwardly with an ugly face, “I find it cringeworthy and nauseating myself.”

       Qin Yun: “…”

In the end, Qin Yun failed to pry the so-called Emperor’s love diary out of Moschery’s mouth. He lay on the ground a bit shamelessly and refused to get up. The impatient sentinel forcibly carried him on his shoulders.

“Why are you so shy?” Qin Yun complained, “Things like diaries should be framed. They are so memorable.”

Moschery regretted telling the other person this. With a stinky face and unwillingness to pay attention to the person, Moschery carried the person all the way into the room.

As a result, when he entered the living room, he found Chen Xiao waiting inside.

“Yo~” The handsome oriental man with peach blossom eyes greeted the two of them with an ambiguous expression, “It’s not dark yet; don’t be so intense.”

Qin Yun climbed down from Moschery’s shoulders in embarrassment. He blushed because he was being carried upside down, “Why are you here?”

Chen Xiao said proudly, “I am the chairman of the Foreign Affairs Department, so of course I can come if you need anything.”

       Moschery said clearly, “Found it?”

“?” Qin Yun was a little confused, “What did you find?”

Chen Xiao smiled and opened the holographic map. He quickly traced a place with his finger and clicked lightly, “Your adoptive mother, Bixi, now lives in Horqin Grassland. It really took us a lot of effort to find her.”

Qin Yun half-opened his mouth in surprise. Bixi had not changed at all in the holographic map. Her long silver hair was simply pulled up. She was petite, but she did not look thin. She was sitting on the horse and looking back.

“I think you should hope that she can be there when we get married.” The Emperor seemed to have done nothing and pretended to be relaxed. “I have prepared several gifts in advance… What does your mother like?”

Although Moschery had a good idea, Lin Dongliang did not give him a chance to implement it. In addition to Arthur’s army needing to be reorganised, the Emperor’s personal image also had to be re-maintained due to the war on Eta Star. Moschery might not be able to leave the Imperial Capital in a short period of time.

The Emperor was so angry that he couldn’t sleep at night, and Zhongyan even had a bad temper. He had to squeeze into the bed every night and sleep between the two of them.

Qin Yun didn’t mind since he couldn’t see it anyway, but Moschery couldn’t take it. One person and one dragon had to toss each other until midnight every night, with pillows flying here and there and occasionally hitting Qin Yun’s face.

Of course, Zhongyan always wins in the end. The proud and majestic giant dragon holds Qin Yun’s arm proudly, but unfortunately, his face is too big, and he can’t hide in Qin Yun’s arms.

“Can I turn over?” Qin Yun moved his arms cautiously, “It won’t overwhelm it, right?”

Moschery said stiffly and angrily, “It can’t be crushed, so what are you afraid of?”

Zhongyan swung his tail in anger, and his rhinestone pillow was cut open because of too much movement.

       Moschery: “…”

       Qin Yun: “…”

“Go away and cry if you want to cry!” Moschery roared angrily, “You’re not allowed to blow your fvcking nose on the sheets!”

Chapter 32 – Morning Cloud (2)

Lin Dongliang went to the Imperial Palace with Skarter on the first day he came back from leave. He happened to see His Majesty the Emperor having just finished arguing with the Cabinet, with a look on his face that said anyone who stood in his way would die.

Moschery’s mood was very violent. He took off his mask, and the golden eyes of the dragon eye had turned into an oval shape.

“Your Majesty.” Lin Dongliang said, “Your marriage is not just a personal matter… After all, there are many aspects involved…”

Moschery said coldly, “So, are you going to force me to have a baby tomorrow?”

       Lin Dongliang: “…no”

Skarter actually had the heart to joke, “It would be a good idea if Qin Yun could give birth…”

“…” Lin Dongliang no longer wanted to pay attention to him.

It was rare for His Majesty the Emperor not to fly his own aircraft, and Skarter was a little surprised.

“Left it at home.” Moschery explained indifferently. The three of them boarded the Royal Guards’ spaceship in a huge formation. Within a few seconds, posts like ‘Royal Cool Trio’ and ‘Soon to be married man really pays attention to his image’ appeared on All Universe 818, which were full of photos and videos of the escorts team.

“Public opinion had been controlled by Chen Xiao.” Moschery threw the tablet to Lin Dongliang, “You handle the rest; you can post about the sweet moments, and I’ll provide the material.”

“Then you have to promise me, Your Majesty.” Lin Dongliang took a deep breath, “You can’t go picking fights yourself.”

Moschery’s expression stiffened, and he replied stiffly, “It’s not like I go and create an alt account.”

Lin Dongliang, enraged and forgetting formalities, exclaimed, “It’s not like you haven’t done it before! That post is still at the top today! It has almost reached a billion comments!” He quickly swiped on the tablet, pulling up a post titled ‘Hey, bitches! Watch this! I’ll conquer the world!!’

Moschery struggled to defend himself, “…I was only 12 years old at the time!”

“You’re not much better now.” Lin Dongliang held his forehead and suddenly froze in place when he looked at the backyard of the palace.

“What…?” Skarter followed and looked over. He paused for a long time and then asked uncertainly, “Your Majesty… what is Qin Yun doing on your aircraft?”

“What is doing doing?” His Majesty the Emperor said matter-of-factly, “Pasting rhinestones.”

       Lin Dongliang: “…”

Moschery: “I’ll find something for him to do. Besides, Zhongyan also likes it.”

“…” Skarter opened his mouth, “Your Majesty… you can’t spoil your wife and children like this.”

Qin Yun diligently transformed Moschery’s aircraft into royal extravagance. By the time he looked down, Lin Dongliang had been waiting below for quite a while.

The Secretary of State craned his neck and greeted him, “Would you like to take a break?”

“Yes.” Qin Yun slowly climbed down from the top of the aircraft, “I’ll ask Shen Zhuofan to come along? Would you like some tea?”

When Shen Zhuofan arrived, Ba Jin’s old housekeeper had just brewed a large pot of new tea. The three of them simply moved the table and chairs under the aircraft. The morning breeze was cool and dry, and the huge shadow of the wings fell on the grass, dividing the sunlight into contrasting colours of light and dark.

“Is General Skarter okay?” Qin Yun poured tea for Lin Dongliang.

Lin Dongliang smiled gently, “It’s good for him to have a holiday. Zong is fine, and Yuanbao will take care of it.”

Shen Zhuofan’s body had recovered a lot. Because he and Qin Yun were in a similar situation, Arthur and Moschery had developed a tacit understanding of each other. Recently, they had been meeting each other to go hunting to vent their mania, and the unlucky Skarter happened to walk right into the line of fire.

“Why should I come with you?!” Skarter’s weapon was a pair of twin guns, “I obviously have a guide, okay?!”

Arthur’s sword was slightly shorter than Moschery’s and was entirely silver-white. He was about to remove the head of a flame crocodile he had just killed, “You mean Lin Dongliang?” The Duke smiled frivolously, “He’s letting you sleep with him?”

       “…” Skarter: “Not yet…but that’s because I refused!”

Moschery snorted, “If you didn’t get laid, you didn’t get laid; don’t give yourself excuses for not being able to.”

       Skarter: “…”

“Make it sound like you got some.” Arthur glanced sideways at His Majesty the Emperor, “I was rolling in the sheets while you were still figuring out where you were.”

Moschery said coldly and contemptuously, “What’s the point? Didn’t you get dumped before?”

       Arthur: “…”

Lin Dongliang and Shen Zhuofan sneezed several times in a row, causing Qin Yun’s own nose to itch a little as he watched.

“Someone must be saying bad things about me…” Shen Zhuofan muttered in a low voice. He had a serious cat tongue. He held the hot tea for a long time without taking a sip and kept blowing it.

Qin Yun couldn’t bear it anymore and gave him a glass of ice water.

Lin Dongliang held the teacup and covered his hands. He had just listened to Shen Zhuofan’s method of releasing conscious hypnosis and sighed, “You are too messy. Don’t do that again in the future, do you understand?”

Shen Zhuofan: “At that time, I wasn’t thinking too much… it was like dry tinder catching fire with thunder from the heavens…” He looked suspiciously at Lin Dongliang, “You and Skarter, anything going on?”

Lin Dongliang coughed, “We are more… restrained.”

Qin Yun: “…” Is it really okay for you to show off your affection like this in front of someone who has never even been to Bonding Heat?!

Arthur’s sword was light and sharp. He and Moschery were good at close combat. One person could kill a flame crocodile alone. Even if it were not completely dead, Skarter would help with the finishing blow behind. The range of his two guns was very far, and he could change cartridges quickly with one hand. It was so fast that it was almost invisible to the naked eye.

“We need to kill something edible.” Skarter suggested, “We need to fill our stomachs later.”

Moschery didn’t react immediately, “I brought some nutritional supplements… Do you guys really plan to cook and eat?”

The other two people had complete ‘How could a guide want you?’ expressions.

Arthur held up a golden sea hare that had just been shot in the head by Skarter and threw it on the ground. He squatted down and began to process the fur and then skillfully shaved off the flesh piece by piece.

The Duke did not feel aggrieved at all when he did this, and his whole body exuded a proud and high-spirited style.

Moschery was a bit puzzled, “It seems that your mansion is not so poor that you can’t afford to use a cook, right?”

“What do you know?” Arthur picked out a piece of tender meat, grilled it and threw it into his mouth, “Do you know what ‘Twenty four Filial Husbands1listening to everything your parent(in this case partner) says‘ means? That’s why I’ve rolled over my bed sheets countless times, but you’re still courting.”

       Moschery: “…”

Of course, Skarter was not to be outdone. The young general even brought a secret dipping sauce with him.

After tasting it, His Majesty the Emperor’s expression became even more unfathomable…

Lin Dongliang was surprised for a long time when he learned that Qin Yun could cook.

“It’s nothing, right?” Qin Yun said in amusement, “I knew how to cook when I was still on the ranch. I’ve been living alone since I moved out, so my skills certainly aren’t bad.”

“What a good wife and mother…” Shen Zhuofan sighed, “The cooks in Arthur’s family can’t cook as delicious as Arthur’s.”

Qin Yun was shocked, “The Duke knows how to cook?!”

“Yes.” Shen Zhuofan nodded, and he recalled, “I remember Skarter can also…”

Lin Dongliang admitted, “He can also carve patterns and create platters, and the secret dipping sauce is particularly delicious.”

       Qin Yun: “…”

Lin Dongliang: “Actually, during peacetime, the families of guides and sentinels have a tradition where the former takes charge outside, and the latter manages the household. After all, the mental work tends to be a bit more demanding.”

“You can actually try it tonight.” Lin Dongliang said with a smile, “Maybe His Majesty’s craftsmanship is also very good?”

Although Lin Dongliang said so, Qin Yun remained quite rational about whether Moschery could cook. After all, the other party is the Emperor, so it was not suitable for him to think that he could cook.

It wasn’t until midnight that Moschery suddenly suggested making a midnight snack that Qin Yun realised how naive he had been.

His Majesty the Emperor’s pursuit of a good husband with twenty-four filial piety was truly unmatched in its dedication…

Qin Yun pretended to look at the menu for a long time and finally decided, “I still want to eat dumplings.”

“Don’t you want anything else?” Moschery said regretfully, “Are the dumplings a bit too simple?”

Qin Yun tried his best to look sincere, “I really, really like eating dumplings.”

Moschery raised his eyebrows and put on an expression that said, ‘Is that so? There’s nothing can be done about it’, turned around and entered the kitchen to start kneading dough and rolling dough.

Finally, he rolled out four dumpling wrappers and broke four of the rolling pins…

       Qin Yun: “…”

“…” Moschery’s expression turned a bit grim, “I’m actually good at other dishes, but I can’t control my strength.”

Qin Yun smiled and said, “It’s okay. Four is still four.”

In the end, when it was almost dawn, the four dumplings were completely cooked. Qin Yun took the first bite and realised that they were actually sweet.

“Sweet. Very sweet.” Moschery pointed at each one with a stinky face, “I was originally thinking about doing something sweet2the original is 恩恩爱爱 or doing something affectionate between husband and wife.” The Emperor said with some depression and embarrassment, “The rolling pin was broken.”

Qin Yun could not speak. He felt that the sweet stuffing in his mouth was melting, flowing down his throat and into his heart.

Chapter 31 – Morning Cloud (1)

Arthur searched around the room and found no one. His ferocious lion followed behind him, sniffing desperately no matter where he was.

“You are just like a male dog in heat.” Arthur muttered to himself as he lowered his head down and stroked the top of the lion’s head.

Ke Qing smiled and added, “The gardener just said that he saw Mr. Shen among the lions. Why don’t you go over there and look for him, My Lord?”

Arthur frowned as he casually tied his long red hair into a bundle and took the whip from the wall.

The evening sun had not yet faded, and the lions were circling the city in twos and threes. Shen Zhuofan was sleeping on the belly of a male lion, with grass clippings still on his face.

Arthur waved his whip a few times to signal the lions to disperse. He squatted down and carefully scanned Shen Zhuofan’s body before bending down and picking him up.

Sweetheart jumped on Arthur’s shoulder, and its huge tail was like a scarf wrapped around the other person’s neck.

As a result, when Shen Zhuofan woke up, they were already aboard the Duke’s aircraft. Arthur turned on the automatic flight and rested his legs on the console.

“…” Shen Zhuofan glanced at his work uniform, “…Why don’t you wake me up?”

Arthur: “Don’t want to let you go.”

Shen Zhuofan was speechless, “Don’t think that everything will be fine if you have a sweet mouth…” He frowned and looked at Arthur’s messy long red hair, and motioned for the other party to lower his head, “Don’t tie it so haphazardly; every time I undo it, I end up pulling out a bunch… Aren’t you afraid of going bald?”

Arthur didn’t move. He closed his eyes and felt Shen Zhuofan’s fingertips brushing across his scalp, and the other party neatly tied his hair into a ponytail.

Shen Zhuofan: “There is no comb… Just settle with this.” He held Arthur’s face and looked around, “Come on, smile.”

Arthur didn’t smile; he just lowered his head and kissed Shen Zhuofan’s forehead.

When Qin Yun saw Shen Zhuofan, he almost didn’t recognise him for a while. After pondering for a while, he struggled to find the right words and finally blurted out, “…Are you here to eat or to work?”

Shen Zhuofan rolled his eyes, “Don’t worry, I won’t eat until you become poor.”

Ba Jin was roasting golden sea hare meat in the yard. This thing was a speciality of B Star. The meat was fat and delicious, but it was not easy to catch. A golden sea hare in the Imperial Capital was sold at a sky-high price. In the words of Shen Zhuofan, eating the hare can buy you a toilet within the Fifth Ring Road.

But the people who usually clamour for it didn’t eat much of it today.

Qin Yun frowned and looked at Arthur, who was carefully cutting up the rabbit meat, almost coaxing and forcing Shen Zhuofan to take a few bites.

“Have you lost weight?” Qin Yun looked at Shen Zhuofan, “You don’t look good either.”

Shen Zhuofan yawned, “I’ve been sleeping late recently…have I lost weight? I haven’t weighed myself.”

He waved his hand at the hare meat that Arthur brought to his mouth, indicating that he couldn’t eat it anymore.

“I’ll take you to get some rest.” Qin Yun watched Shen Zhuofan start to doze off again and said worriedly, “Eat when you wake up and you are hungry.”

Shen Zhuofan hesitated for a moment, then looked at Arthur, who kissed his cheek, “Go to sleep. I will pick you up later.”

Moschery watched Qin Yun leave before kicking Arthur under the table. The Duke snatched the sea hare meat from His Majesty the Emperor’s bowl without changing his expression.

“How did you turn someone into this?” Moschery mocked, “Did you torture him?”

Arthur raised his eyebrows and pointed to his temple, “I remembered.”

Moschery’s face became solemn, “He unlocked your conscious hypnosis?”

Arthur didn’t seem to want to say more. He wiped his mouth and suddenly asked, “Is the god-level guide really in Olympus?”

Moschery was silent. After a long time, he responded indifferently, “I don’t know.”

       Arthur looked at him.

Moschery: “I appreciate your willingness to send troops and put pressure on the Cabinet to release Skarter.”

“I didn’t do this.” Arthur smiled, “It was Zhuofan who wanted to help you. Your guide is the same as him…don’t you want him to recover?”

Moschery remained silent. Of course, he hoped Qin Yun could recover, but whether it was Tristana or Lin Dongliang, the results were failures.

“Only the god-level can completely heal the brain.” Arthur said calmly, “If you want to marry a guide who has no guide ability at all, the Cabinet and Olympus will definitely not take it kindly.”

Shen Zhuofan was lying on the bed, his eyes closed and his face pale, but he couldn’t fall asleep completely. He could only chat with Qin Yun.

“I’m worried that he’s not treating you well…” Qin Yun babbled, “Look, you let him forget about you… This is simply abandonment in disguise…”

Shen Zhuofan couldn’t bear it and raised his eyelids, “Please, I was the same as you now. Oh no, it’s even worse; we both have made the final mark… Well, at least if we can save one, we can save one. Do you want the two of us to watch each other die together?”

Qin Yun frowned, “Then how did you get yourself into such a state these days?”

“It’s hard to explain in words.” Shen Zhuofan sighed, paused, and said hesitantly, “I released Arthur’s conscious hypnosis.”

Qin Yun: “…Can this thing still be solved?!”

“Yes…” Shen Zhuofan looked calm. He turned his face and looked at the other person, “Just one shot is enough.”

“…” Qin Yun, “Don’t tell me that you are indulging in lust and become like this…”

“It would be great if this were the case.” Shen Zhuofan frowned, “To die under the peony flower and being a ghost is also a romantic thing1to die for love!”

“…” Qin Yun couldn’t imagine Duke Garcia as a peony. He felt that the black dahlia was more understandable.

“What’s that expression on your face?” Shen Zhuofan said in disgust. He suddenly remembered something and stared at Qin Yun’s face, “Have you ever had sex with His Majesty?”

Qin Yun: “…How is that possible? I can’t even have Bonding Heat.”

Shen Zhuofan nodded, “It’s okay if you haven’t done it before. You won’t be like me.” He smiled bitterly, “The hypnotic suggestion I gave before was ‘estrus’, but you also know that I don’t have the ability to guide, which means I can’t produce real Bonding Heat. During the process, I almost couldn’t bear Arthur’s mental strength and completely collapsed.”

“I didn’t think it was so terrible to lose the ability to guide before… As long as I can survive.” Shen Zhuofan closed his eyes and said with some difficulty, “But now, the first thing I think about is how good it would be to still be a guide…”

Zhongyan lay on the ground and watched Qin Yun attach a large rhinestone pillow for him. It tried its best to move its huge dragon head in front of him, but unfortunately, it didn’t get any response.

Moschery looked up at it, then lowered his head to continue reviewing the documents. Zhongyan tilted his head, then carefully straightened up, spread his giant wings and hugged his guide.

Qin Yun seemed to feel something. He turned back to look at Moschery, but the latter showed no reaction, with a serious expression on his face.

“What are you looking at?” Moschery asked suddenly without raising his head.

Qin Yun felt ashamed, as if being caught cheating on the exam. He plucked his hair in embarrassment, “Uhm… well, where is Zhongyan?”

       Moschery looked up at him.

Qin Yun blushed a little. He picked up the pillow with rhinestones on it as an excuse, “I, I want to ask if it likes it…”

       “He’s hugging you.” Moschery interrupted.

       Qin Yun: “?”

Moschery stretched out his hand, but he did not get close to Qin Yun. He touched the other person’s neck with his fingertips, “Its head is over there.” Then traced it to near the chest, “The wings are here.” Finally, fell to his waist, “The tail is here.”

Qin Yun couldn’t help but look at all the places Moschery pointed at.

“It is hugging you.” His Majesty the Emperor supported his head as he calmly said with an expressionless face, “Because I want to hug you too.”

Chapter 30 – Morning Dew (3)

Although His Majesty the Emperor’s desire to get married has never been so urgent, if it were really so easy to get married, Olympus would have returned about 100 years earlier… The Cabinet headed by Berlin obviously did not think favourably of Qin Yun, a commoner, as queen. Although he did not dare to defy Moschery’s decision openly, she took considerable action in private.

“Public opinion building has always been what the Cabinet is best at.” Chen Xiao was called back after Lin Dongliang’s leave of absence. The Cabinet also had strong opinions on Chen Xiao as a temporary out of nowhere Minister of Foreign Affairs stand-in as well, “You have to hire some water army1internet troops to sway opinions in the forums and social media to go to Universe 818…Or maybe try showing dynamic life images of the two of you?”

Moschery sneered, “Why should my wife be shown to others?”

Chen Xiao: “…I remember when your wife was still a low-level guide; he lived and ate under the same roof and went through thick and thin together with over a thousand sentinels …”

       Moschery: “…”

Chen Xiao: “Maybe even took a shower together…”

Moschery slowly pulled out the Dragon Scale blade with a murderous look on his face…

“I was wrong…” Chen Xiao raised his hand, “Qin Yun will only eat, live, bathe, and go through the thick and thin together with you only!”

Since deciding to get married, Moschery asked Qin Yun to move to the palace to live together. Old butler Ba Jin was as excited as if his daughter were getting married (…). He flew an aircraft to Qin Yun’s residence early in the morning to pick up the future queen back to the palace.

Qin Yun originally wanted to pack it himself, but unfortunately, the old butler firmly disagreed.

“Just sit down.” He made Qin Yun a cup of coffee and took out the cookies he had prepared early in the morning, “Leave it to me to sort out these things.”

Qin Yun couldn’t resist the stubborn old man, so he could only sit idly on the sofa in the living room.

Ba Jin chatted with him while sorting things, “His Majesty is in a good mood these days, and he even changed the bed sheets to white… Do you like white?”

“I’m all right with it.” Qin Yun asked with a smile, “What colour were his sheets originally?”

Ba Jin: “Pink, because His Highness Zhongyan likes it.”

       Qin Yun: “…”

Ba Jin: “The lights have also been changed. Now they are all in the ink Chinese style.”

“…” Qin Yun: “So they were all glittering rhinestones, right?”

Ba Jin was surprised, “How do you know?”

“…” Qin Yun covered his face, thinking how could he not know about the heart of a sissy dragon!

When he was finally sorting things out, old butler Ba Jin dug out a broken bag from somewhere. When he was about to throw it away, an old letter shell slipped out of it.

Qin Yun bent down and picked it up. He opened it, took a look, and found that it was a letter from Bixi.

The adoptive mother had retained the ancient writing habit for a long time. Her handwriting was not as petite and elegant as her character but was simple and vigorous, and the ink almost smudges the back of the paper.

Qin Yun remembered that he had a quarrel with Bixi when he decided to go to the guide military headquarters. At that time, he was young and energetic, even admitting a mistake felt like losing to him. He knew Bixi had left him some letters, but he chose not to pay attention to it until it was forgotten. It wasn’t until today that he picked them up again.

Old Butler Ba Jin leaned over and observed Qin Yun’s expression, “Do you want to read it?”

“Ah…” Qin Yun came to his senses and nodded, “I will go read it.”

Ba Jin smiled, “Then I will help you load your luggage onto the aircraft. You can take your time to read it slowly?”

Qin Yun held up the letter and watched Ba Jin direct the robot across the yard, the sunlight spreading across the stone path in front of the door.

Bixi still habitually called him Little Rainbow Dash at the beginning of the letter. Qin Yun couldn’t help laughing when he saw it. He could almost imagine Bixi sitting under a lamp, writing letters with her delicate shoulders, silver hair flowing like moonlight—beautiful and serene.

“Little Rainbow Dash, you have always been my gentle and brave little guy.”

Qin Yun read the beginning, and he took a chair and placed it in the yard.

“I remember you staying in my arms at such a young age, not crying or making trouble as if you grew up overnight and could take care of me and my neighbour Grandpa Chen.”

Ba Jin loaded Qin Yun’s package onto the aircraft. He waved to Qin Yun from a distance, “Would you like another cup of coffee?”

Qin Yun replied without raising his head, “Thanks.”

“You still don’t know how to ride a horse even though you’ve grown so old, but it’s true that you’re very good at taking care of it. Do you still remember the little white horse you had before you were eight years old? It always followed you, was good and obedient.”

Qin Yun couldn’t remember when he had a little white horse. Ba Jin brought freshly brewed coffee, and the fragrance was so strong that it could be smelled far away.

Bixi continued in the letter, “I am always worried that you will be in danger if you leave my side, but I forget that you are already so big. In fact, it is not that you can’t live without me, but it’s me who cannot live without you.”

“You are like those horses running in the pasture, brave and fearless but gentle. You will leave my pasture one day and run towards a greater future. I just can’t bear to let you grow up and leave. What can I do? I was even worried that you would be covered in bruises and unable to be under my wings, but I forgot that you don’t need my protection in the first place.”

Qin Yun closed his eyes; his eyes were sore, and his fingertips gently touched the old edges of the letter paper.

Bixi ended the letter with this, “You are God’s mercy, my pride, my gentle and brave little guy. Don’t fear failure and pain. I will be by your side, forever loving you—Your Mom, Bixi.”

In the morning, Moschery was hindered by the cabinet, his face overcast with gloom. When he came out of the meeting room, he saw Zhongyan lying at the door, with two rhinestone-appliquéd Chinese knots hanging from his dragon’s horns.

“…” A vein popped out on Moschery’s forehead, “Why are you hanging these two things?”

Zhongyan shook its huge dragon head innocently, and the two tassels trailing to its nose rustled.

Moschery said patiently, “Do you think hanging two Chinese knots means you are Chinese?” He snorted mockingly, “Don’t embarrass yourself, you idiot.”

Zhongyan snorted, stretched out his paws to wash his face, picked up the tassels and shook them around.

“Stop messing around.” Moschery pushed its dragon face away in disgust, “No matter how beautiful you are, he can’t see you now.”

       Zhongyan: “…QAQ”

Qin Yun saw Moschery waiting at the entrance of the palace from a distance. He seemed to be in a hurry. He didn’t even take off his commander’s uniform and had a cloak hanging on his shoulders.

Moschery took off his gloves. He stood on the aircraft and stretched out his hand to Qin Yun, “Come here.” After thinking about it, he added uneasily, “Let Ba Jin take the luggage. Come over.”

       Qin Yun: “…”

Because of the dark uniform, he couldn’t see it when he was far away. When he got closer, Qin Yun realised that Moschery’s right shoulder was almost completely wet. He thought for a while and understood what was going on. Dumbfounded, he asked, “Where is Zhongyan? Did you scold him again?”

Moschery couldn’t be bothered with Zhongyan’s spoiled and sissy personality. He pulled Qin Yun inside and said, “He didn’t even have Toothless’ life yet he have Toothless’ disease. It’s either acting cute all day or crying, and you treat it like a treasure. What’s the use of spoiling it?”

“…” Qin Yun looked at Moschery speechlessly as even his cloak got wet this time…

Moschery didn’t care at all. He took off his cloak and handed it to Ba Jin. He hooked his arms around Qin Yun’s neck and kissed his lips as if no one was watching.

“Arthur is coming for dinner tonight.” Moschery pinched the back of Qin Yun’s neck, “His guide is back.”

Qin Yun was startled, “Shen Zhuofan has gone back?!”

Moschery paused when he was about to continue kissing him. He narrowed his eyes dangerously, grabbed Qin Yun’s chin and shook it, “I never told you Shen’s full name. Shouldn’t you explain what’s going on?”

“…” Qin Yun said seriously, “This is actually a very long story.”

Moschery snorted. He stared at the other person’s expression for a long time. As if he couldn’t help it, he rubbed Qin Yun’s lips roughly with his thumb and muttered, “Anyway, I have time to listen…forget it, let’s kiss first. Let’s talk after it’s finished.”

       Qin Yun: “…”

It seemed that the little rainbow dash refers to My Little Pony’s Rainbow Dash

Chapter 29 – Morning Dew (2)

The Lord Secretary of State was waiting restlessly in the lounge of the Cabinet Office while Quinta was leisurely drinking tea.

“It’s rare to see you like this.” The professor looked at his former student with a face full of mockery, “Lin Dongliang, who has always been calm and gentle, the chief of the 10th Averio… We thought at that time that you would definitely pledge allegiance to the cabinet.”

Lin Dongliang frowned and looked at Quinta, “Teacher…”

Quinta waved his hand, “I know you have your own stance. You were a very opinionated student in school.”

“Teacher.” Lin Dongliang sighed, without a smile on his face, “You have to admit that there is no fairness in the Cabinet, and the same goes for Averio Academy. You don’t accept any children who are talented but have weak spiritual links. Still, often, they are the majority of the future and determine the foundation and development of the Empire.”

“Spiritual link will only choose the strong.” Quinta gripped his teacup tightly; he was a little angry, and there was a deep contempt in his eyes, “Genes have already determined a person’s rank. Only those of higher rank deserve to enjoy privileges. Ordinary people are divided into three, six, and nine levels, not to mention sentinels and guides.”

Quinta stood up. Despite his old age, he didn’t appear feeble. His back was straight, and he exuded an imposing presence, “Go pick up your general, Lord Secretary of State. I hope we can get along happily in the future.”

Skarter had not shaved for several days when he came out of the solitary room. He took off his military uniform and hung it on his arm. There was a faint dark green under his eyes.

Lin Dongliang’s eyes turned red the moment he saw him. He walked a few steps quickly to the sentinel as if he wanted to hug him but held back.

Skarter smiled softly and held out his hand.

Lin Dongliang hugged him tightly, and he gently pressed his forehead against the other person’s shoulder, took a deep breath and choked with sobs, “Welcome back.”

Although he was released from the solitary room, Skarter’s military power was still not restored. The Cabinet’s methods were tough, and the royal family was not 100% sure that they would completely break up with the other party, but fortunately, he was saved.

Lin Dongliang spoke to Moschery immediately, and the other party’s expression on the holographic projection always appeared calm.

“As long as everything is fine.” Moschery seemed to be on a private aircraft, “Let Skarter have a good rest, and you can also take a day off to accompany him.”

“…” Lin Dongliang was a little embarrassed, “My previous leave has been used up.”

Moschery said nonchalantly, “It doesn’t matter. I approved it.”

       Lin Dongliang: “…”

“That’s right.” Moschery said suddenly, “I’m getting married.”

       Lin Dongliang: “?!”

Moschery: “When you come back, help me think about how to hold the wedding. It needs to be grand. Well… I asked Ba Jin to order the outfits first. Do you have any recommendations for a good venue?”

       Lin Dongliang: “…”

Skarter looked at his guide who turned off the communication device with a complicated expression, raised his eyebrows and asked in confusion, “Does His Majesty have anything to say?”

“No…” Lin Dongliang looked for words, “His Majesty, he is in a… very good mood?”

Skarter was confused, “…Has the research institute invented a new suppressant agent?”

Lin Dongliang did not agree with this joke. He said helplessly, “His Majesty gave me a long vacation so that I can spend time with you.”

“…” Skarter was horrified, “What happened to make him in such a good mood?! Has Olympus returned?!!”

“If it was just the return of Olympus, His Majesty will probably only have an attitude of ‘it should have been so’.” Lin Dongliang pinched his eyebrows tiredly, “His Majesty told me that he is getting married.”

       Skarter: “…”

Lin Dongliang: “He also asked me if I had any good venue recommendations… What do you think of the one we decided on before?”

Skarter’s face darkened, “Don’t introduce it to him. I don’t want us to be unable to use it before they used it.”

       Lin Dongliang: “…”

Qin Yun still hasn’t reacted when Moschery forcefully pulls him into the aircraft. He didn’t dare to turn around to see Mrs. Berlin’s expression. He only heard Tristana’s excited screams, shouting, “Congratulations!”

Chris took the initiative to give up the aircraft, his face was red with excitement, and he shook Qin Yun’s hand up and down, “I am currently researching estrus agents, which can be used by ordinary people and have similar effects on bonding heat… Ah, of course, there are no side effects, ensuring a happy and fulfilling married life!”

       Qin Yun: “…”

“If you have time to talk this nonsense? Why don’t you go to work?” Moschery ordered coldly, “I want to see the results before we get married, do you hear me?”

      Chris: “…”

The royal aircraft was more than a little more advanced than ordinary ones. It wasn’t Qin Yun’s first time riding one, but he was indeed more nervous than every time before.

Moschery set up the autopilot. He took off his commander’s uniform and threw it on the driver’s seat. He suddenly reached out and pinched Qin Yun’s chin and looked around.

“You’ve lost weight.” The Emperor frowned and said, “Have you eaten well?”

Qin Yun didn’t dare to hide as he stiffened and nodded.

Moschery asked again, “What do you eat every day?”

Qin Yun thought for a while and said honestly, “Rice and vegetables.”

       Moschery: “…”

Qin Yun glanced at the other party cautiously and plucked up the courage to say, “Well… I know you said that to protect me. Don’t worry, I won’t misunderstand…”

Moschery interrupted him with a sullen face, “You think I did that to protect you?”

“…” Qin Yun scratched his face, “What else…?”

Moschery stood up with force, and Qin Yun was startled. Just as he was about to find a place to hide, he heard the Emperor pointing at his nose angrily and roaring, “Why should I marry you if I don’t fvcking love you?! You idiot!!”

       Qin Yun: “……”

Moschery gasped and glared condescendingly at the other person.

“C-calm down…” Qin Yun raised his hands and squatted half-crouched, “L-let’s talk… calmly.”

Moschery gritted his teeth, “What talk! Where’s the answer?!”

Qin Yun nodded quickly, “I do! Let’s get married! Let’s get married!”

“Who cares about that?!” Moschery said angrily, “Don’t you dare not marry me!”

“…” Qin Yun looked at him blankly, “…Then what do you care about?”

Moschery reached out and pinched Qin Yun’s chin fiercely, “Say it!” He said every word with a ferocious expression, “Say you love me!”

       Qin Yun: “…”

After messaging Lin Dongliang, Moschery returned to the c0ckpit. He saw Qin Yun lying on the workbench. When he walked in, he found that the other party was attaching a rhinestone ring.

The Emperor looked at it for a while, then suddenly stretched out his arm over the other person’s shoulder. When he put the ring on his finger, he realised that the size was not right…

Qin Yun explained awkwardly, “I want to make one for Zhongyan…”

Moschery cursed with an unpleasant expression on his face, “I am the one marrying you! What the hell are you doing for that stupid dragon!”

“…” Qin Yun silently changed the size of the ring again, and finally, it was shaped into a thin circle with a comically large diamond on top…

Moschery stretched out his hand impatiently for a long time, waiting for Qin Yun to put it on him.

“Kneel down on one knee.” His Majesty the Emperor said with some fuss, “Come and propose.”

“…” Qin Yun thought; fair enough, you propose once, I propose once. He knelt on the ground, carefully putting the ring on Moschery’s finger. Before he could say anything, Moschery held his face in his hands.

Moschery leaned down and sealed his lips with a heavy kiss.

“I do.” The emperor muttered against the other person’s lips.

       “…” Qin Yun: “I haven’t said anything yet…”

       Moschery: “…shut up!”

The two continued to kiss, and Qin Yun secretly opened a slit in his eyes and found that Moschery was also looking at him.

“I know you can’t receive pheromones now.” The other party suddenly said, “It wasn’t the only reason before.”

Qin Yun opened his mouth. He wanted to ask something, but in the end, he didn’t.

“Because I want to kiss you.” Moschery kissed his eyes and replied, “That’s why I kissed you.”

Chapter 28 – Morning Dew (1)

When Tristana saw Lin Dongliang in the royal office area the next day, she was so surprised that she couldn’t open her mouth for a long time. She looked at his face carefully, “…I thought you would ask for leave today…at least half a day. “

Lin Dongliang smiled. There were traces of staying up late on his face, but he didn’t look too dishevelled.

“I don’t have that much time to rest.” The Secretary of State adjusted his tie. He turned his head, and his eyes were firm and bright, “Someone is waiting for me.”

Since Lin Dongliang’s return, although the war front has still not improved, the media has quietly changed. It no longer blindly condemns His Majesty the Emperor’s dereliction of duty but focuses more on democracy, freedom and equality.

Lin Dongliang had somehow managed to get the Eta Star Hybrid Experiment Programme, a report so huge that it was almost sickening.

“The Empire will not take the initiative to break any peace treaty, but we have our own bottom line.” Lin Dongliang faced the camera; his expression was as solemn and sad as sacred self-sacrifice, “And it is precisely Eta Star that has violated this principle.”

A reporter below asked relentlessly, “Besides these, do you have any other evidence?”

Lin Dongliang smiled gently, “I am fortunate that, while uncovering Eta Star’s conspiracy, I also rescued an outstanding couple.” He gestured to the side, and the holographic image displayed the faces of Maggie and Alice. The latter seemed a bit uneasy, hiding behind her sentinel.

Maggie calmly deflected the recorders that were about to poke her in the face. She frowned slightly, with an aloof and chilly expression.

“This is my ID.” The sentinel placed a card on the table, “I am a test subject of this batch of Eta stars. Under the care of His Majesty, I was able to come to the Empire safely.”

“Of course.” Maggie paused, and she continued, “The people rescued by His Majesty this time also include Mr. Chris, a senior researcher from the Eta Star gene bank, but he now needs to accompany His Majesty to deal with the illegal genes of the Eta Star at the frontline.”

The reporters below began to whisper. Lin Dongliang’s expression did not change. He stood up and slowly scanned the faces of everyone below.

“Those who fight for democracy, freedom and equality will never lose…” Lin Dongliang said calmly, “Thank you to the sentinels and guides who have been fighting on the front line so far.” He bowed deeply to the camera, ” Even if we encounter injustice, we never give up.”

Qin Yun looked at the picture of the Secretary of State bowing at the top of the home page with mixed emotions. Shen Zhuofan curled his lips and said, “Don’t feel bad; senior has his own pride.”

“…” Qin Yun still felt uncomfortable, “They shouldn’t have had to face all of this…”

Shen Zhuofan twitched his lips, “Both of them are ready to sacrifice willingly at any time, not for your sympathy.”

“It is precisely because they have steadfast ideals and an unwavering belief to strive for that they are qualified to stand there, becoming my trusted aides.” Shen Zhuofan showed a nostalgic expression, “This is what His Majesty once said to me.”

       Qin Yun looked at him.

Shen Zhuofan smiled, “I didn’t understand it very well before, but now I seem to understand something a little finally.”

Overnight, Lin Dongliang rose to become the highest national idol in the empire. The overwhelming support from public opinion forced the Cabinet to release the remaining half of Skarter’s troops and 30% of the high-level guides to support the war. Unfortunately, Prime Minister Berlin still imposed confinement on General Skarter himself in the name of ‘internal investigation’.

Lin Dongliang travelled between the royal family and the Cabinet every three days and almost lost weight in just half a month.

He came to visit Qin Yun with fruits and left after sitting for a while.

“The front line is basically under control, but we don’t have any extra troops. His Majesty can’t withdraw yet.” Lin Dongliang smiled a little bitterly, “It’s not that he doesn’t want to see you.”

Qin Yun quickly denied it, “It’s okay, it’s okay, I don’t really want to…” His expression was tangled, “Okay, I actually miss him…”

       Lin Dongliang: “Pfft…”

Qin Yun was not very embarrassed and whispered, “Don’t tell him…”

Lin Dongliang also imitated him and lowered his voice, “Okay.”

Qin Yun breathed a sigh of relief. He seemed to have thought of something, and his expression was a little lonely, “Actually, I also understand that even if he comes back, I probably can’t go back to him like this… General Lane told me about the Cabinet… For safety, wouldn’t it be better to stay apart?”

Lin Dongliang frowned. He wanted to say something, but he didn’t know how to say it.

“It is precisely because of having a firm ideal and an unyielding belief in fighting for it.” Qin Yun said suddenly. He looked at Lin Dongliang and smiled, “I am able to stand here and leave without regrets.”

Shen Zhuofan didn’t open the store early in the morning. He hired someone and trained him for several days before he was finally able to do all the work.

“I may have to be away from the store for a while.” Boss Shen settled the bill. After thinking about it, he finally put Sweetheart into his bag, “Don’t forget to scoop the litter every day. They don’t like robots… and don’t feed them too much canned food. Several of them have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and high blood sugar…”

“Boss.” The clerk interrupted him with a sullen expression, “You were so chatty all day yesterday…is this a pattern of you going and never returning?!”

Shen Zhuofan was rendered speechless, “…Don’t talk nonsense! It’s unlucky!”

During the day, someone from Duke Garcia’s mansion would come out to walk the lions. Sweetheart lay on Shen Zhuofan’s shoulder, wrapping his whole body around the other person’s neck like a furry scarf.

“Do you still remember the book I read before, which talked about how to unlock hypnosis?” Shen Zhuofan started talking to himself to Sweetheart.

The Maine Coon cat meowed softly.

Shen Zhuofan said with a headache: “How can I, a guide who can’t even produce Bonding Heat, seduce an SSS-level sentinel into bed…”

Sweetheart stopped meowing and began licking her paw with a disdainful expression.

Shen Zhuofan was troubled for a long time but couldn’t think of any effective way. He hesitated for a long time and finally plucked up the courage to walk to Ke Qing, who was walking the lion.

“Um…” Boss Shen asked sincerely, “Is your house still short of people to wash the lions?”

When Tristana came to pick up Qin Yun from the hospital, she didn’t see Shen Zhuofan. When she inadvertently asked about it, it turned out that the other party didn’t know either.

“I haven’t seen him in half a month…” Qin Yun packed his things, “Where is the Secretary of State?”

“You don’t know?” Tristana was a little surprised, and then she laughed in a good mood, “Duke Arthur has sent troops, and His Majesty will be back today as expected.”

“Oh…” Qin Yun said slowly, “Is, is that so…”

The female general nodded, “Yes, Skarter has been lifted from confinement, and Lin Dongliang can finally pick him up.”

Qin Yun said happily, “That’s great.”

“But we can’t take it lightly.” Tristana went through the discharge procedures for Qin Yun, “The old witch always likes to do stupid things, and she might stab you later.”

Qin Yun was so frightened by what she said that he couldn’t help but look around after leaving the hospital entrance.

With just one glance, he spotted Moschery standing in the distance.

His Majesty the Emperor didn’t seem to come over to say hello. He stood still and didn’t move. Because he was too far away, his expression could not be seen clearly. Only Chris behind him waved vigorously towards Qin Yun.

Qin Yun subconsciously stretched out his hand to respond. He thought about where Zhongyan had gone before he remembered that he could no longer see him.

“Aren’t you going to send him off?” Chris took back his hand and couldn’t help but look at the people around him, “He seems to really want you to come over…”

Moschery’s expression was indifferent, and he shook his head, “No need.”

Chris was stunned for a moment. Chris was taken aback, a bit angry. He complained indignantly, “Ha, turning your back, heartless and cold-blooded!”

Moschery did not refute. He seemed to have not heard and stared quietly behind Qin Yun.

In a place where no one could see, Zhongyan spread out his huge black wings, and it tenderly hugged his guide from behind, heavy and sad.

Tristana’s expression changed dramatically when she spotted the Cabinet’s banner. She shielded Qin Yun with a grim look, watching as Mrs. Berlin approached nonchalantly.

“Congratulations on being discharged from the hospital, Guide Qin.” Berlin stopped less than one meter away from Qin Yun. She smiled and said, “You seem to be doing well?”

Tristana narrowed her eyes, “Thanks to you, we are about to leave.” Just as she was about to pull Qin Yun across the other side, she was blocked by two high-level guides. The female general gritted her teeth, “What does this mean?!”

Berlin said lightly, “It’s better to come early than to come by chance.” She looked at Qin Yun and put away her smile, “There are still many things on Eta Star that have not been explained clearly. We must ask Guide Qin to come with us.”

Before Qin Yun could react, two guides held his shoulders down. Just as he was about to struggle, he was suddenly pulled into his arms by a hand stretched out from behind.

Tristana looked surprised and shouted, “Your Majesty!”

Berlin raised her eyebrows meaningfully, “Your Majesty, why didn’t you take a rest just after you came back? Aren’t you tired?”

Moschery roughly pressed Qin Yun’s stiff head firmly against his shoulder

       Berlin: “…”

“It just so happens that you’re here. I can announce something.” Moschery looked at Berlin coldly and raised Qin Yun’s chin with one hand, “In the future, this man will enjoy half of the Empire’s sovereignty.”

       Qin Yun: “??”

Moschery: “To put it in layman’s terms, I would marry him.”

       Qin Yun: “…??!!!”
