Chapter 66

Suo Yang was full of courage in many things, but he had been hesitant to take the step of going home to reconcile with his parents for several years.

Now, his relationship with Shen Huiming was a driving force for his reconciliation, and the accident that just happened was an opportunity.

Although everyone would inevitably have many regrets in their life, Suo Yang still hoped to reduce his regrets as much as possible. When he got old, he would lie in bed… Or just think about the worst-case scenario; if something unexpected happened to him one day, he wanted to look back on the years he had walked through and, at the very least, not have too many regrets.

It was better to work harder while he could still work hard than to blame others after many years.

Shen Huiming was happy to hear him say such words. Although Suo Yang didn’t mention it often, Shen Huiming knew very well that with a personality like Suo Yang’s, he definitely cared about his parents.

It was said that parents and children did not have an overnight grudge. Blood is thicker than water, and nothing can dilute it. There might be exceptions, but Shen Huiming hoped that Suo Yang would not have to bear this pressure all the time.

In fact, after the two talked, Shen Huiming did not expect Suo Yang’s parents to support or bless them but hoped that at least they would no longer reject them.

“Okay, when do you want to go back? I will arrange the time, and I will accompany you.”

Suo Yang felt a little sorry, knowing that Shen Huiming was busy, but he always dragged him around.

But he couldn’t say that he could go back by himself because he knew very well that he couldn’t do it.

       He needs Shen Huiming.

Suo Yang felt that he might have been spoiled by Shen Huiming, otherwise, why would he become so squeamish and pretentious now?

“I’m okay with anything. It depends on your schedule.” Suo Yang said, “Don’t let my affairs affect your work rhythm. I can wait.”

When saying this, Suo Yang felt ashamed of himself.

In fact, he knew very well that Shen Huiming would try his best to satisfy any request he made, and he could not wait to fulfil it.

He felt sorry and thought that all he could do to make up for it was treat Shen Huiming better in the days to come.

“Okay, I’ll make some arrangements to see how it goes.” Shen Huiming did not confirm the time with Suo Yang immediately. Firstly, the work at hand did require time arrangement, and he was not sure when he would be able to leave. Secondly, he did not want Suo Yang to feel disturbed by this. If he set a time immediately, Suo Yang would definitely feel guilty.

Suo Yang felt guilty for his selfishness, and Shen Huiming tried to find ways to alleviate his guilt.

Shen Huiming said, “I’m going to meet the parents. Shouldn’t I catch up on some sleep, eat something good these two days, and return home with you in the best of spirits?”

Suo Yang laughed out loud, “You’ve always been good.”

The two hung up the phone, Suo Yang tidied up the room and then went to the appointment with Zhou Mo.

As soon as Zhou Mo saw him, he started checking first without saying anything, Suo Yang laughed, “Are you sure? I’m not missing any arms or legs, right?”

“You scared me to death!” Zhou Mo saw that he was in good condition and breathed a sigh of relief. “It’s exciting enough to experience this kind of thing once in a lifetime, but it turns out it’s maddening for me to experience it again.”

Suo Yang knew that he was worried about him, so he patted the back of his hand gently to express comfort.

The two chatted while eating, and Zhou Mo always observed Suo Yang carefully.

Suo Yang was sensitive and naturally knew that Zhou Mo was paying attention to his situation. He didn’t say much and just let the other party observe, as long as Zhou Mo could rest assured.

“By the way, what’s the important thing you’re talking about?” Zhou Mo had been thinking about it for a long time. It was already the limit for someone as gossipy as him to hold back for so long before asking.

As soon as Zhou Mo’s question came out of his mouth, Suo Yang’s ears immediately turned red.

“Huh? Your ears are red.” Zhou Mo stared at him, “You’re smiling a little shyly.”

The word shy appeared on Suo Yang for the first time. He looked at Zhou Mo with some surprise, “Shy?”

Zhou Mo smiled, “I have only seen this expression on the bride’s face.”

“…Don’t talk nonsense.” Suo Yang said, “But I am indeed planning to marry Huiming.”

Zhou Mo was drinking juice. Upon hearing what he said, the juice lingered in his mouth, and he even forgot to swallow it.

“Getting married?” Zhou Mo swallowed the juice and wiped his mouth with a tissue, “You and Shen Huiming?”

“Well, who else could it be but him?”

Zhou Mo was quite supportive of the two being together. Of course, whether he supported their relationship or not didn’t really matter, as it was their personal choice to be in a romantic relationship. It’s just that he thought Shen Huiming was a good person, but…

“Isn’t it a bit fast?” Zhou Mo and Cheng Sen were together for several years before getting married. Although their same-sex marriage, which was certified abroad, was not recognized in China, marriage is marriage; no matter what form or method it was, it should not be done too hasty.

In Zhou Mo’s heart, Suo Yang had always been a thoughtful person and did not make decisions easily. He even thought that if the two of them got married one day, it might be ten or eight years later.

Zhou Mo counted on his fingers, “How long have you two known each other? How long have you been together?”

Zhou Mo said, “Well, I didn’t mean to say anything bad about him, I was just worried about your impulsiveness.”

Suo Yang smiled, “But getting married is an impulsive decision.”

Zhou Mo thought about it and felt that this was true. Although he and Cheng Sen had been in a relationship for so long, their decision to get married was based on impulse.

“Although it was an impulse,” Suo Yang said, “it is also an inevitable result. I didn’t understand it before and felt that marriage was meaningless for us gay people, but now I suddenly understand.”

“What do you suddenly understand?” Zhou Mo asked curiously.

“When our love for each other is so strong that we don’t know how to express it, the only way is through marriage.” Suo Yang said, “Just being in a romantic relationship is no longer enough for us; we need to become each other’s beloved.”

Zhou Mo laughed knowingly, “How come you make this sound so romantic?”

“Maybe it’s because love is inherently romantic,” Suo Yang said. “Some people may think that marriage is the tomb of love. I don’t fully agree with this statement. The meaning of marriage varies from person to person, and everyone defines it differently. For us, marriage is something we can’t get under the rules, so we can only use roundabout ways to prove our determination to stay with each other until we grow old.”

Zhou Mo held his chin and looked at him with a smile in his eyes.

“You are really different.” Zhou Mo said, “In the past, you were always cold, not the kind of ice-cold face on the surface, but always kept a distance from life and the people in it. I always felt that you don’t seem to be very passionate about anything other than work.”

Suo Yang could understand what Zhou Mo meant.

In fact, when he heard what others said about him behind his back, it was not unreasonable to think about it calmly and rationally.

He had fairly decent skin, but the world under the skin was extremely empty. He refused to enter into any excitement and had little interest in anything.

Beautiful it might be, yet utterly soulless.

This statement was a cutting sword aimed at him, but wasn’t the reason it hurt him because it striked right at the core?

       Suo Yang understood.

Therefore, he was very sure that his marriage to Shen Huiming was the right choice because he would never meet anyone more worthy of being with him for a lifetime than Shen Huiming.

Shen Huiming is like oxygen, and he spared no effort to inject it into his stagnant water, causing aquatic plants to grow, fish to appear, and life to emerge from the bottom of the water.

All the breath of life in him came from Shen Huiming. He loved the other person and was happy with his love.

“Speaking of which, where are you going to hold the wedding?”

“Berlin.” Suo Yang said, “But there are a lot of procedures to go through. Huiming checked yesterday and found that getting married abroad is not that simple.”

Zhou Mo nodded, “Okay, if you two plan to enjoy the joy of your newlywed life alone, then I will give you a big gift, but if you plan to entertain everyone, I must be the best man.”

As the two parted ways, Zhou Mo asked again, “Are you serious?”

Suo Yang nodded firmly, “Yes, very serious.”

Zhou Mo raised his hand and rubbed his nose, “Happy wedding.”

The two stood on the roadside and hugged each other gently. Suo Yang said, “Thank you.”

       “What for?”

“If you hadn’t invited me to your birthday party and hadn’t invited him, and if we hadn’t met there, maybe I would still be that lifeless person now.”

Zhou Mo shook his head, shrugged, and poked Suo Yang’s shoulder with his finger.

“Even if you don’t meet that day, you will definitely meet again later.” Zhou Mo said, “Some fate will come sooner or later. It is yours, and it is destined to be yours.”

Suo Yang stood there and watched Zhou Mo drive away while he stretched himself against the winter sun.

What is mine is destined to be mine.

He thought about Shen Huiming and felt that Zhou Mo was right.

Suo Yang checked the time and then drove to the vicinity of Shen Huiming’s company. He did not go upstairs to find the other party. Instead, he ordered a cup of honey gr4p3fruit tea at the coffee shop downstairs opposite and took out the book that he had not opened for a long time to read.

Shen Huiming told him before that when he read this book, he would deliberately not read the later parts because from chapter 11 onwards, the love that started with the encounter on the plane gradually faded away, and he did not want such an ending.

After that, every time Suo Yang re-read the book, he would stop abruptly at chapter 10, without continuing to read or think about it, even though he knew that the story in the book would not predict the ending and love between him and Shen Huiming. The dislike of each other would not happen to them, but he still deliberately avoided it.

After all, sometimes, he was still a coward.

But on this afternoon, waiting for Shen Huiming to finish work, he sat in the coffee shop. When he looked up, he could see the office building across the street, where his beloved was busy. However, he no longer harboured any unnecessary concerns. He continued to read his book, now in the role of a bystander.

On page 161, he made a mark with the pencil on the coffee shop table and drew a light line under the sentence—We need to earnestly consider how the two of us will grow old together, ageing to the point of retiring with a mouth full of false teeth in a bungalow by the sea. If we wholeheartedly believe in all of this, we can even plan to get married, forcing our hearts to immerse themselves in endless love in the most resolute and legitimate way.

He liked the phrase but had doubts about the term ‘force’.

He and Shen Huiming would enjoy it instead of being forced to indulge in love.

Chapter 3 – Ghost Pounding the Wall

The news of a female postgraduate student jumping off the building in the Faculty of Pharmacy quickly spread throughout the entire campus. Back then, on campus, instances of students being unable to cope with pressure and resorting to jumping off buildings seemed not uncommon. Regardless of whether they knew each other or not, they all felt a little regretful, but it didn’t seem to stir up too much commotion.

The Faculty of Pharmacy building was sealed off that night, but it was reopened as usual the next day. Students moved in and out without feeling too much out of the ordinary.

About two days later, it was already evening when Song Jun received a call from Zhou Yingchun, asking him to help her go to the tenth floor of the Faculty of Pharmacy to get a copy of the experimental data and then deliver it to her to the Forensic Medicine office building.

Song Jun was stunned for a moment, then quickly agreed and said that he would go immediately.

He packed up and went out with his cell phone and keys. Just when he opened the door, he saw Xia Hongshen coming back from outside. He nodded and greeted him, “Senior Brother Xia.”

Unexpectedly, Xia Hongshen asked him, “Where are you going?”

Xia Hongshen’s tone was not considered polite, and at first, it sounded a little less than polite. Fortunately, Song Jun was someone who didn’t care and replied, “Go and help Teacher Zhou get something.”

Xia Hongshen nodded to show that he understood, then opened the door and went back to his room.

When Song Jun came out of the dormitory, it was already dark, and the sun was about to set. However, it was the busiest time inside the campus. Many students were walking to the classroom and were about to go to self-study. There were also boys who came out to play football on the playground while the sun was down.

When Song Jun walked to the bottom of the Faculty of Pharmacy building, he subconsciously glanced up at the building. He didn’t know why, as he hadn’t intentionally tried to remember anything, but for some reason, he vividly recalled the window from which the girl had jumped that day.

The Faculty of Pharmacy building was one of several newly built buildings in the school. The building was ‘L’ shaped. There was an elevator at the corner of the ‘L’, but the staircase was at the top and the two ends of the right side of the building.

At this time of the day, the building was already a little deserted, but from the outside, one could still see many rooms with lights on. Most of them were graduate students from the Faculty of Pharmacy, either still doing experiments or studying on their own.

Song Jun received a call from Zhou Yingchun, asking him to go to the tenth floor to find a girl named Liao Wan to get the data. According to Zhou Yingchun, she had already called Liao Wan in advance, and Song Jun only needed to go for the other party to know.

But it was Song Jun’s first time to enter the Pharmacy School Building. He started walking in the wrong direction and walked to the stairwell on the far right. He quickly turned around and found the elevator in the middle.

The process of finding Liao Wan went smoothly. Once the other party heard that he was called by Teacher Zhou to get the data, she gave him a USB stick and said that he could just return it to her after copying it.

Song Jun thanked her, walked out of Liao Wan’s laboratory with the USB flash drive, and walked in the empty corridor.

At this time, it was completely dark outside, and the corridor was empty, except for him. As he approached the elevator, Song Jun noticed that it was on its way up from the first floor. He reached out and pressed the down button, observing that the elevator didn’t stop on its way up until it reached the tenth floor.

When the elevator door opened, Song Jun originally thought there would be someone inside, but there was no one there. There were smooth mirrors on three sides, reflecting Song Jun’s lonely shadow.

Song Jun stood in, turned around, and faced the elevator door. He saw the Arabic numeral ‘10’ written on the opposite wall.

The elevator door slowly closed, and all the way down, Song Jun watched the red floor numbers slowly jump down from 10 to 1. When he reached the first floor, he thought the elevator door was about to open, but he realized that the elevator had not stopped at all. As it continued to go down, the bright red number suddenly jumped to the top floor, 14th floor, and then jumped down from 14 again.

Song Jun suddenly felt a chill in his body. He subconsciously took a step back and pressed his back against the elevator wall to make sure there were no blind spots around him. Then he stared at the jumping floor numbers in the elevator again.

At first, he thought it was an elevator malfunction, but he quickly dismissed the idea because he could detect a slight weightlessness as the elevator moved downwards. He was sure that he was going all the way down. He had clearly gone down from the 10th floor to the 1st floor just now, but now he had gone all the way down to more than ten floors. How could it be possible? Unless there were more than ten floors underground in this pharmacy faculty building!

Song Jun didn’t dare to think about these illogical things. He reached out and pressed the floor button. It didn’t matter which floor he pressed as long as he could stop immediately.

As a result, the elevator suddenly stopped on the fifth floor. The elevator door slowly opened, and Song Jun saw the number ‘5’ on the opposite wall.

Without much hesitation, he immediately walked out of the elevator. The elevator door slowly closed behind him and stopped at the fifth floor.

Song Jun stood at the corner of the fifth floor. There were empty corridors to the left and right. The corridors were lit with pale fluorescent lights, but there was no one there. All the doors of the rooms on both sides were also closed.

He hadn’t recovered from the panic just now. His back was chilled, and his arms were covered in goosebumps, but he didn’t dare to enter the elevator behind him no matter what. After standing there in a daze for a while, Song Jun plucked up the courage and walked towards the stairwell on the right.

There was a fire door1A fire door is a door with a fire-resistance rating used as part of a passive fire protection system to reduce the spread of fire and smoke between separate compartments of a structure and to enable safe egress from a building or structure or ship in the stairwell, which was usually closed and could be pushed open with some effort.

But the stairwell looked much scarier than the empty corridor because there was no light in the stairwell. He pushed open the fire door and saw a ray of light seeping in, casting his own shadow on the ground. But once he entered, the door would automatically pop back up, and then it would block out all the light.

Song Jun looked around but couldn’t find the light switch in the stairwell.

He was a little nervous because he didn’t think that the phenomenon in the elevator just now could be explained clearly by science, but he hoped that he could be calmer and not be so paranoid.

He took a deep breath. Song Jun pushed open the fire door and walked into the stairwell. Whether going up or down, the stairs were pitch black. He took out his phone, and the weak light from the screen illuminated a small area in front of him. At least he wouldn’t miss the steps, but no one knew what was in the darker places ahead.

Song Jun did not stop, nor did he look around anymore. He concentrated on looking at the small bright spot in front of him and walked downstairs. He himself didn’t know which floor he had reached when his cell phone suddenly rang.

In an absolutely quiet environment, the sudden ringing almost scared Song Jun out of his wits, and he almost lost his grip. But he still stopped, stepped back slightly, pressed his back against the wall, and answered the phone.

The call turned out to be from Xia Hongshen. The moment the call was connected, Song Jun didn’t recognize it because he had never asked for Xia Hongshen’s phone number.

For some reason, Song Jun felt a little more relaxed when he heard Xia Hongshen’s voice.

On the other side of the phone, Xia Hongshen’s first sentence was to ask, “Where are you?”

Song Jun said, “I’m in the Faculty of Pharmacy building, and I’m about to come out—”

Before he finished speaking, he heard Xia Hongshen say, “Wait for me there.”

Song Jun was stunned and hurriedly told Xia Hongshen what was going on. Song Jun said, “I don’t know what’s going on. There seems to be something wrong with the elevator. I was coming down the stairs…”

“Stand where you are and don’t go anywhere,” was what Xia Hongshen said.

Then, the call was hung up.

Song Jun saw that the phone was disconnected and thought of what Xia Hongshen had just said, so he simply sat down on the stairs against the wall. To be honest, he didn’t want to stay any longer, but he felt nervous facing the darkness ahead. And how many floors had he just descended? Was there an exit up ahead? He found himself a bit confused.

After almost ten minutes, Song Jun heard footsteps going up the stairs.

He suddenly stood up from the ground, holding the phone tightly, shining a small piece of light.

The footsteps got closer and closer and stopped in front of the stairs where Song Jun was. Then Song Jun saw Xia Hongshen through the faint light.

Song Jun suddenly breathed a sigh of relief and said, “Senior Brother Xia.”

Xia Hongshen didn’t say much. He just stretched out a hand to him, “Follow me.”

Song Jun was stunned; his body reacted before his brain, and he reached out and held Xia Hongshen’s hand.

Xia Hongshen pulled him and walked downstairs.

Because there was one more person, Song Jun felt less scared, so he asked, “Why don’t you take the elevator? Maybe it’s already fine?”

Xia Hongshen replied briefly, “Not taking it.”

Song Jun didn’t want to ask any more questions and followed Xia Hongshen all the way down.

At this moment, he discovered a problem. He had just come out of the elevator on the fifth floor and then went down at least three or four floors. It was almost time to reach the first floor; however, Xia Hongshen was still pulling him along, and it was apparent that there was still a considerable distance below. Unable to hold back, he asked, “Which floor were we on just now?”

       “Fourteenth floor,” Xia Hongshen said.

Song Jun was stunned. He felt that something was wrong. The fourteenth floor was the top floor of this building. Leaving aside whether the floor numbers he saw while descending were accurate. When he entered the stairwell just now, he did see that there was another one facing upwards. How could the stairs be on the fourteenth floor?

But the fourteenth floor… wasn’t that the floor from which that senior sister jumped?

Song Jun suddenly felt cold and couldn’t ask the questions he wanted to ask. He followed Xia Hongshen downstairs in silence.

This time, he still couldn’t remember how many floors he had gone down. When he passed the corner of the first floor, he suddenly noticed something reflecting light in front of him. Song Jun subconsciously wanted to take a closer look, but Xia Hongshen beside him raised his hand to block his eyes and said, “Don’t look. Follow me.”

Song Jun was stunned. He thought what he just saw was probably a mirror, but he wasn’t sure.

With Xia Hongshen blocking his eyes, he could feel Xia Hongshen’s slender and cold fingers, and he was slightly nervous. However, he didn’t dare to push them away, so he followed Xia Hongshen all the way down to the first floor and walked out of the Faculty of Pharmacy building.

The moment he walked out of the door, Song Jun felt a rush of hot air rushing towards his face. Then, he suddenly realised that the building was as cold as if the central air conditioner had been turned on. But this was impossible. It was obvious that he still felt stuffy when he entered. There was no central air conditioning at all in the Faculty of Pharmacy building.

People were coming and going on the campus roads as if there were two worlds inside and outside, and now they had returned to the human world.

Song Jun turned to look at Xia Hongshen, only to see Xia Hongshen looking back at the building behind them. He couldn’t help but follow Xia Hongshen’s line of sight and felt a chill when he remembered what he had just experienced.

“Is it ghost…?” Song Jun said this with some hesitation because the person next to him was a doctoral student in forensic medicine. It was really funny for the two of them to discuss whether they had seen a ghost.

But Xia Hongshen didn’t laugh. He said, “What else do you need?”

Song Jun suddenly remembered the USB flash drive in his pocket, “I need to send the data to Teacher Zhou.”

Xia Hongshen then said, “Go ahead.” Then, he had no intention of continuing to talk to Song Jun.

Song Jun had no choice but to tell him, “Then I’m leaving.”

After walking a few steps forward, Song Jun turned back to Xia Hongshen and said, “Thank you, Senior Brother Xia.”

Xia Hongshen stood there and looked at him calmly.

Song Jun raised his hand, turned and walked towards the forensic building.

When Song Jun returned to the dormitory at night, he saw that the door of Xia Hongshen’s room opposite was closed, and he wondered if he had fallen asleep. He took out the key and opened the door, and suddenly saw something black on the window jumping in from the outside.

He was startled and immediately turned on the light in the room and saw it was a little black cat.

The little black cat raised its head and gave him a ‘meow’.

Song Jun breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that the cat had come in from outside because his window was open. He walked over to the table and dropped the keys, then sat down to change his shoes.

The little black cat kept staring at him, and when he saw the black cat looking at him, he would whisper back ‘meow’.

Song Jun originally wanted to drive it out, but he couldn’t bear it because of its well-behaved appearance, so he took out a ham sausage from the drawer and fed it to the black cat.

The little black cat buried his head and smelled it but refused to eat it.

Song Jun hesitated a little and reached out to touch the little black cat’s head. He found that the little black cat lay down softly, so he scratched its chin with his fingers and watched it narrow its eyes in enjoyment.

Later, Song Jun went to the water room to take a shower, and when he came back, the little black cat was gone. He stuck his head out of the window to look but saw nothing.

The author has something to say:
I would also like to thank the girl who commented and caught bugs2usually typos. As for the settings, it’s correct that the senior brother is the gong.

Notes:
The title itself actually has English similar expression that is running into a brick wall or hitting a dead end.
But since the whole novel is a horror theme, I leave it that way
While I’m translating this chapter, I keep praying plis don’t jumpscare me, plis don’t jumpscare me TᴖT
Idk what’s the deal with Arabic numeral number tho, but I hope it’s explained later

Xu Ye: (glancing at Chu Yu sullenly)

Chu Yu: (Lowering his eyes and smiling) Correction, my first impression is that he has bright eyes and is very cute when he is shy.

Mo: Calling each other by name happens only in bed, right?

Chu Yu: Our exercise areas are not limited to beds. I call him many things; slave, his name, prince, baby…

Xu Ye: (blushing) Master…don’t tell him this…

Mo: I can’t listen anymore. It’s too cheesy…

11.

Mo: What’s your favourite way for the other person to address you? Why?

Xu Ye: Well… My name, those two words sound good when he says them.

Chu Yu: Name. He was so full of emotion.

12.

Mo: If you compared the other person to an animal, what would it be?

Xu Ye: I always feel like some kind of large carnivorous feline…

Chu Yu: Deer.

Mo: Aren’t they natural enemy…

13.

Mo: What gifts did you give the other party?

Xu Ye: I gave perfume and ties.

Chu Yu: Ring.

Xu Ye: (Raised his hand, there was a silver ring on his ring finger)

Chu Yu: There is also a nipple ring.

Xu Ye: (blushing)…

14.

Mo: What gift do you hope to get from the other person?

Xu Ye: If it’s from him, anything is good.

Chu Yu: Himself.

Xu Ye: I have always been yours.

Chu Yu: Yeah. (reach out and touch Xu Ye’s head.)

Mo: Don’t show affection in front of me!

15.

Mo: Do you have any dissatisfaction with each other? If so, what is it?

Xu Ye: (continues to blush) That… when we do it, I will always be forced to say some very embarrassing things…

Chu Yu: You don’t like it because you haven’t gotten used to it yet. Just try it a few more times.

Xu Ye: (Sad) Master…

Chu Yu: I have no dissatisfaction with him.

Xu Ye: Master, I was wrong…I have no dissatisfaction with you either!

16.

Mo: What bad habits do you have?

Xu Ye: Not confident.

Chu Yu: Excessive control.

17.

Mo: What have you done to make the other person angry?

Xu Ye: Running away from him, sleeping in the same bed with others, taking medicine indiscriminately, and last time mentioned letting him have a child with another woman…

Chu Yu: (Looking at him) It’s all in the past.

Xu Ye: (nods)

Chu Yu: (Thinking for a moment) Sometimes I go overboard. However, he usually doesn’t really get angry; it’s more like he’s being coquettish.

Xu Ye: …

18.

Mo: To what extent is the relationship between the two of you?

Xu Ye: (turns away)

Chu Yu: The degree of being inseparable, like glue and paint.

19.

Mo: Who confesses first?

Xu Ye: Me.

Chu Yu: It doesn’t matter. In my eyes, “you belong to me” is also a form of confession.

Xu Ye: (Eyes brightened)

20.

Mo: How much do you like the other person?

Xu Ye: If I leave him, I won’t be able to sleep, I’ll be anxious, and I’ll be very uncomfortable.

Chu Yu: I will always be by your side.

Mo: Can you not seize every opportunity to show off your love in everytime?!

21.

Mo: Do you think this kind of liking can be called love?

Xu Ye: Yeah.

Chu Yu: Of course.

22.

Mo: What’s the one thing the other person said that you couldn’t refuse?

Xu Ye: No matter what Master says, I will never refuse.

Chu Yu: When he said ‘hug me’.

23.

Mo: What is the biggest thing you can allow the other party to do?

Xu Ye: I have no right to restrict Master’s actions…

Chu Yu: Interact with other people within normal limits.

24.

Mo: What will you do if the other party exceeds this limit?

Xu Ye: He will not exceed the limit. I fully trust him.

Chu Yu: I will personally eliminate all the things that are not good for him.

Mo: …so ruthless.

25.

Mo: What do you like most about the other person’s body?

Xu Ye: Chest, very warm.

Chu Yu: Every inch.

Xu Ye: (blushing)

26.

Mo: What kind of appearance in the other person arouses your desire the most?

Xu Ye: When taking off the bathrobe…

Chu Yu: Trembling in my arms and calling ‘Master’.

27.

Mo: When do you feel nervous when you are together?

Xu Ye: When I was whipped…

Chu Yu: When I almost lost him.

28.

Mo: Have you lied to the other party?

Xu Ye: In the beginning, yes, but not anymore.

Chu Yu: There are things that I would hide, but I would never lie to him.

29.

Mo: Have you ever had a quarrel?

Xu Ye: Except for the time when I couldn’t help shouting because I was being scolded by the Master at the club… there probably isn’t any.

Chu Yu: No.

30.

Mo: When do you feel happiest?

Xu Ye: Every minute with him.

Chu Yu: Me too.

Mo: …Forget it. I’m not going to complain anymore.

31.

Mo: When did you feel ‘I am loved’?

Xu Ye: When he hugged me.

Chu Yu: When he obeys my commands and accepts the whipping even when he’s afraid.

32.

Mo: How do you express your love for him?

Xu Ye: Companionship.

Chu Yu: Protection.

33.

Mo: Which plant do you think looks similar to the other person?

Xu Ye: Maple tree.

Chu Yu: White rose.

34.

Mo: Is there anything hidden between the two of you?

Xu Ye: No.

Chu Yu: Yes. (Turning to Xu Ye) Sorry.

Xu Ye: It’s okay, Master… I don’t want to know those things.

35.

Mo: Is the relationship between the two of you publicly acknowledged by those around you?

Xu Ye: Yes.

Chu Yu: Yes.

36.

Mo: Where was the first night?

Xu Ye: Hanguan No.8.

Chu Yu: The bed in the master bedroom.

37.

Mo: What were your thoughts on the first night?

Xu Ye: Well… I’m a little excited but also a little nervous.

Chu Yu: His body fits me very well, and it feels very pleasant to hold him.

38.

Mo: What was the first thing you said in the morning after your first night?

Xu Ye: He was not there that morning…

Chu Yu: Sorry, I have some urgent matters to deal with that day.

Xu Ye: I understand, Master.

39.

Mo: How many times a week do you do it?

Xu Ye: (blushing)

Chu Yu: To ensure quality, about three times or so.

40.

Mo: What kind of sex is it?

Xu Ye: (continues to blush)

Chu Yu: (Looking at Xu Ye and smiling) All kinds of ways.

Mo: Damn it, I don’t want to ask anymore…

41.

Mo: Where do you feel the most?

Xu Ye: (blushing, whispering) Chest and below…

Chu Yu: front end.

42.

Mo: Where does the other person feel the most?

Xu Ye: (blushing) The place that’s used for…

Chu Yu: It’s enough that only I know his sensitive spots.

Mo: So possessive…

43.

Mo: Who takes the lead in sex?

Xu Ye: Master, I try to do it occasionally…

Chu Yu: When he takes the lead, everything is fun.

44.

Mo: Where do you usually have sex?

Xu Ye: Home.

Chu Yu: Home.

45.

Mo: Where else do you want to try it?

Xu Ye: (Glancing at Chu Yu) Everything is up to Master.

Chu Yu: (Laughing) Next time, I might try it outdoors.

46.

Mo: Is bathing done before or after sex?

Xu Ye: Once before and after.

Chu Yu: Yeah.

47.

Mo: Does the gong usually cum inside?

Xu Ye: (blushing and nodding)

Chu Yu: Yes.

48.

Mo: Which posture do you prefer?

Xu Ye: (Purses lips) The ordinary kind.

Chu Yu: (Lip hooking) Usually, the rear-entry style will make you feel better.

Xu Ye:…Please, stop talking…

49.

Mo: Which props used during sex impress you the most?

Xu Ye: That… vibrator with a tail…

Chu Yu: If you like it, we can try another animal tail next time.

Xu Ye: (hurriedly) Don’t…

Chu Yu: What impressed me most was the scene where he was tied to the massage table with a rope.

50.

Mo: Have you ever had sex with anyone other than the other person?

Xu Ye: …Yes.

Chu Yu: Yes.

51.

Mo: Next question. Do you think your skills in that area are good?

Xu Ye: …not very good.

Chu Yu: (Smile) This kind of question should be answered by the other party.

52.

Mo:…Okay, do you think the other party’s skills are good? Can they satisfy you?

Xu Ye: (Looking at Chu Yu with a blushing face) When he holds me… it’s always very satisfying every time…

Chu Yu: Sometimes he can be too shy and nervous, and that kind of expression makes me more excited. It feels good to hold him. It makes me happy every time.

53.

Mo: What do you want the other person to say during sex?

Xu Ye: (Blushing) I love you.

Chu Yu: Every word is good, especially when he tells me how he feels. (Looking at Xu Ye) I love you.

Xu Ye: (with bright eyes) Master…

Mo: You go on. I’m going to vomit for a while.

54.

Mo: What do you like to see in each other during sex?

Xu Ye: (furious) Why are there always questions like this?!

Chu Yu: (reaching out to touch Xu Ye’s head to express comfort) How do you like me to hold you?

Xu Ye: (with a bright red face) I like whatever Master does no matter what…

Chu Yu: (laughing) I like the way he cried and begged for mercy because of emotion.

55.

Mo: What is the most exciting place to have sex so far?

Xu Ye: His office.

Chu Yu: For now.

56.

Mo: What do you think is the most difficult situation when it comes to love?

Xu Ye: His duration is too long…

Chu Yu: When he is too tense, his body cannot relax.

57.

Mo: Has the shou ever initiated sex?

Xu Ye:…I was drunk at that time!

Chu Yu: (Laughing)

58.

Mo: What was the gong’s reaction at that time?

Xu Ye: At that time, I was in a daze, but in the end… we did it.

Chu Yu: Encourage him to try the feeling of being in a car. And let him be on top1at that time Xu Ye asked to be the top(gong) instead of just being on top and Chu Yu let him to be on top(being on top of him) as he requested.

Xu Ye: (On the verge of crying but without tears) I didn’t mean what I said at all…

59.

Mo: Would you do it with someone other than the other person?

Xu Ye: No.

Chu Yu: No.

60.

Mo: How would you react if you found out that the other person had sex with someone other than yourself?

Xu Ye: I will feel uncomfortable.

Chu Yu: (Glancing at the host coldly) This won’t happen.

Mo: …don’t look at me like that. This question is not mine…

61.

Mo: Has the gong ever forced himself on you?

Xu Ye: No… well, it should be said that we stopped when there was no substantial entry.

Mo: Uh, why?

Chu Yu: (Looking at Xu Ye gently) He cried.

Mo: You become soft-hearted when he cries… Jerry is right.

Chu Yu: I just wanted to scare him. I didn’t really do anything.

62.

Mo: When was the first time? With who?

Xu Ye: (Looked at Chu Yu, embarrassed) When I was a sophomore… I was introduced to a MB by Liu.

Chu Yu: (Indifferently) Freshman year, and a sub who is a few years older than me.

63.

Mo: Is this person your ideal type?

Xu Ye: Yes.

Chu Yu: Yes.

64.
Mo: Where is your favourite place to be kissed?

Xu Ye: Mouth.

Chu Yu: (Looking at Xu Ye) Oh?

Xu Ye: (Blushes and anxious) Master…

Chu Yu: (Laughing) Little liar.

Xu Ye: (Speechless and choked)……

Chu Yu: As for what I said, below.

65.

Mo: Where do you like to kiss each other the most?

Xu Ye: Mouth…

Chu Yu: Lower abdomen. He will be full of emotions.

Xu Ye: …Please.

66.

Mo: What do you think about when you make love?

Xu Ye: I feel like I’m going to die.

Chu Yu: I want to love him more.

Mo: This answer is really not on the same level…

67.

Mo: Do you like or hate doing this with the other person?

Xu Ye: (Red face and softly) I like it.

Chu Yu: Why do it if you don’t love it?

Mo: That’s right…

68.

Mo: What if someone else asks you for sex?

Xu Ye: Refuse.

Chu Yu: Refuse.

69.

Mo: What if you knew someone was pursuing the other person?

Xu Ye: There are many people who like Master (laughs), but he is mine.

Chu Yu: It depends on the situation.

Mo: What do you mean it depends on the situation?

Chu Yu: It depends on the situation of the person. If they dare to cross the line… (lips raised)

Mo: Don’t smile like that. I feel chills all over…

70.

Mo: This question… What would you do if the other person was r4p3d by someone else?

Xu Ye: …Master cannot be r4p3d.

Chu Yu: (Suddenly) No one would dare.

Mo: Damn, don’t show off your murderous intent…

71.

Mo: What should you do if the other person suddenly loses interest in you?

Xu Ye: Think about what is wrong with myself.

Chu Yu: Change my approach to arouse his interest.

72.

Mo: When do you feel the saddest?

Xu Ye: When the Master is angry.

Chu Yu: When I don’t get trust.

73.

Mo: When do you feel happiest?

Xu Ye: When Master hugged me, I meant a simple hug…

Chu Yu: (Looking at Xu Ye) Are you not happy with the not-so-innocent hug?

Xu Ye: (Blushing)… also happy

Chu Yu: (Touching Xu Ye’s head) When I see you happy, I will be happy too.

74.

Mo: Let me ask separately. Chu Yu first. Which of Sub’s behaviours disgusts you the most?

Chu Yu: Presenting one face upfront while concealing a different one behind. A facade of pretence and deception.

75.

Mo: Xu Ye, which behaviour of Dom disgusts you the most?

Xu Ye: Violence that hurts sub.

76.

Mo: What kind of person would you never make friends with?

Xu Ye: Hypocrites, those who do bad things behind the scenes.

Chu Yu: A person who tends to follow the crowd.

77.

Mo: Apart from each other, who is the person closest to you?

Xu Ye: Leopard and Liu.

Chu Yu: (Thoughtfully after listening) The two of them?

Mo: …You’re not going to kill them, are you?

Chu Yu: (Glancing at the host) Not really. For me, it is Chu2Chu Xuan, maybe? It’s only written Chu tho and Chu Qin.

78.

Mo: What leisure and entertainment activities have you been engaging in recently?

Xu Ye: Master is teaching me how to play Go.

Chu Yu: He learns quickly.

Mo: Really? So talented.

Xu Ye: (Biting his lip with a red face) Because there will be a punishment every time you lose…

Mo: What type of punishment?

Chu Yu: Type not suitable for children.

Mo: …I surrender to both of you.

79.

Mo: Tell me about the luckiest thing in your life?

Xu Ye: Meeting Master.

Chu Yu: Falling in love with him.

80.

Mo: The most precious thing you are willing to give to the other party for safekeeping?

Xu Ye: Heart.

Chu Yu: All the time in the rest of my life.

Mo: I’m done asking. You two can go and do whatever you want…

Extra 2 – The Young Masters’ Chess Game

In early summer, the sky was filled with thunderclouds, and the whole sky became gloomy.

The teacher was still explaining the math problems tirelessly on the podium. Chu Yichen propped his head on his hands and looked out the window. A bolt of lightning fell in the distance as if splitting the whole world in half. The rain came in torrents, blown by the wind, and crackled against the glass windows.

The window next to him was not closed, and the rain blew in and wet his shirt. The surrounding students were affected and moved their chairs inward. The teacher glanced to his way and continued teaching as if nothing happened.

No one dared to ask him to close the window or even get up to close the window.

The reason was simple. This private high school was the property of Golden Eagle, and Chu Yichen was the son of Chu Yu, the leader of Golden Eagle.

Those who studied here were all children of rich and influential people. They had long learned from their fathers the tact and sophistication of adapting to the situation, bullying the weak and fearing the strong. If Chu Yichen hadn’t been taciturn and reserved, with a cold face all the time, he would have been welcomed with open arms every day, making him very popular. In the face of the Chu family’s financial resources and power, everything he did could be tolerated. It was rare for Young Master Chu to be in the mood to be exposed to the rain, so his classmates naturally did not dare to spoil his mood.

The school bell finally rang, and the teacher said a few words to pay attention to safety during the weekend and then dismissed school.

Chu Yichen put the textbook into his school bag, stood up and walked out. His gaze fell on the corner of the corridor. He stopped, and his eyes darkened a bit.

A handsome boy was being surrounded. One of the girls, with a blushing face, handed over the exquisitely wrapped paper bag in her hand under the cheers of the surrounding classmates. The boy curved his lips and smiled, accepted it gently, and then thanked her politely. The girls were excited and chattering around him like a flock of sparrows.

“Yichen.” The boy saw him and walked over from the crowd. He asked in surprise, “Why are your shoulders wet?”

“It just started raining, and the windows were not closed.” His explanation was concise.

“Why don’t you close the window?” The boy looked at him incomprehensibly for a while, sighed, grabbed his arm and walked downstairs. Chu Yichen’s eyes narrowed slightly, and he let him pull him downstairs.

There were already bodyguards waiting at the door, holding umbrellas and taking their schoolbags.

“Do you have any clean clothes in the car? Hurry up and change into another one. You’ll catch a cold if you get wet like this.” The boy said and glared at him. “This grown-up still needs me to worry. Being an older brother is really not easy.”

Chu Yichen looked at him with deep black eyes and said, “You are only half a year older than me.”

The other person raised his eyebrows, “That’s why I’m older than you. Speaking of which, you’ve almost never called me ‘gege’ since you were a child.”

“Chu Yunhan, I have never regarded you as my older brother.” He said slowly as if he was serious.

The other party was stunned and smiled helplessly, “If I had known I should have beaten you more when I was a child, I can’t even beat you now.”

“If you hit me, I won’t hit you back.”

“Alright, let’s go back early. Dad will be anxious soon.” Chu Yunhan took two steps and suddenly remembered something and asked, “Is grandpa’s birthday tomorrow?”

       “En.”

“Then we can have a good fight at the old house tomorrow.” Chu Yunhan has always been a fan of Go.

“Okay.” Chu Yichen looked at the expectant face, his expression softened.

The two got into the car and drove off in two different directions.

When Chu Yichen arrived home, the old Uncle Ye was wielding a spatula in the kitchen. The aroma of rice overflowed, making people want to eat. Xiao Xun arranged the tableware neatly and asked, “Master, are you hungry?”

“A bit.” Chu Yichen scanned the empty living room and asked, “Are they out?”

Just then, the door opened, and the two people who came in brought a wet smell of rain. Chu Yichen looked at the two people who were wet, with a faint smile on his lips and called out, “Father. Dad.”

Xu Ye’s eyes lit up when he saw him, “Yichen really arrived home earlier than us. I won this time.” After saying that, he turned to the man next to him and said proudly, “You agreed to the bet. Next week, accompany me to Los Angeles to watch a game.”

“Okay.” Chu Yu smiled helplessly, took the dry bath towel from Xiao Xun, wrapped Xu Ye in it, and said, “Go take a hot bath first. You walked too fast, and half of your body was wet already.”

Xu Ye saw that Chu Yichen’s shoulders were also half wet, so he put his arms around his shoulders and walked upstairs. As she walked, he asked, “Son, are you also taking a romantic walk in the rain, perhaps with a young lady? If you don’t tell me, I’ll have someone investigate…”

Chu Yu looked at their backs with a faint smile on his lips and told the butler, “Postpone the dinner for half an hour.”

At the dinner table, Xu Ye personally served him a bowl of chicken soup. After watching him take a sip, he asked, “Does it taste good?”

       “It’s okay.” Chu Yichen replied.

“Your Dad made it.” Chu Yu looked at him and said.

“…It tastes very good.” He drank it in one gulp.

Xu Ye couldn’t help but reach out and touch his head, “I didn’t raise you for nothing.” After saying that, he handed the bowl in front of him to Chu Yu, “You have stayed up late recently.”

Time had changed their appearance, and the two men, who were nearly fifty years old, had subtle wrinkles at the corners of their eyes. However, the warmth between them had never faded. Today, Xu Ye was a successful businessman. The White Crane Group, under his leadership, had become a comprehensive enterprise spanning finance, e-commerce, catering and entertainment industries. The Golden Eagle, controlled by Chu Yu, was also flying higher and higher with the help of Chu Qin and Chu Xuan. Their story became a legend, and Chu Yichen was also part of this legend.

From a helpless orphan to the beloved son of two business tycoons, this unique luck has become the talk of many people after dinner.

Chu Yichen had heard how his classmates slandered him. They seemed friendly and flattering on the surface but turned their backs and called him ‘a bastard with two fathers’. They laughed at him, discriminated against his family, and insulted his father. This was why Chu Yichen’s temper became colder and colder as he grew older.

And he never felt bad about it. Ever since he took Xu Ye’s hand and entered this family when he was six years old, he had regarded these two people as the brightest light in his life. The love Xu Ye gave him was gentle and meticulous. He cared about his warmth and feelings and gave him tolerance and understanding. What Chu Yu gave was rational guidance and stern encouragement. In his heart, he always regarded his father as his goal and worked hard in his direction bit by bit. He watched their love, grew up under the protection of the two, and gradually became a tough and reserved boy.

“You will be in your senior year of high school soon. Do you have any goals for college or major? Foreign countries are also acceptable,” Chu Yu said.

“I want to stay in the country.” Chu Yichen put down his chopsticks and said seriously, “Father, I have thought about it for a long time. Regarding that question, I think I have the answer.”

Both of them stopped and looked at him quietly.

“I want it.” Chu Yichen pursed his lips as if he had made up his mind, “I want the position of head of the Chu family.”

A trace of surprise flashed in Xu Ye’s eyes, and he looked at Chu Yu with some worry.

The man’s expression was very calm, as if he had already expected it, without a trace of ripples, “Reason?”

“I have something I want to get.” Chu Yichen lowered his eyes, his eyelashes hiding the emotions in his eyes, “Such a thing can only be obtained when I sit in that position.”

Chu Yu’s eyes were as deep as the sea, “You should understand that if you want to sit on a high position, you must have the strength to occupy it. Otherwise, if you lose your seat, the consequences of falling from a high place will be tragic.”

“I understand.” He said slowly and seriously, “Father, I hope you can teach me so that I can have the ability to sit firmly on it. No matter how difficult it is, I want to give it a try.”

Xu Ye sighed lightly and said nothing.

Chu Yu was silent for a moment and said, “This kind of lesson is not like your academic studies, where you can complete everything by just sitting in a classroom. In addition to the relevant knowledge of managing a business, I also need to train your judgment, adaptability, management and communication skills, as well as techniques such as calculation, methods, and speculation through practical work. You will step into the real world step by step, so I won’t allow you to ‘try things out.'” He paused, “Yichen, I’m only going to give you one chance. If you give up halfway through, we’ll strip you of your inheritance rights and dump you on the other side of the planet to fend for yourself.”

The boy sitting at the dining table thought for a while and said, “I accept it.”

“Okay. You don’t have to go to school starting next week, and all your courses will be rescheduled. After studying for a month, come to Golden Eagle to be my assistant.” After Chu Yu finished speaking, he got up and went upstairs.

Xu Ye looked at his son with a solemn expression, patted the empty seat next to him and said, “Yichen, sit here.”

He walked over and sat down.

“Personally, I don’t wish for you to take on this position because the higher the position, the more dangerous it becomes. Even a powerful man like your father often feels exhausted in such positions. I hope you live each day happily, learning a profession you enjoy without pressure and doing things you love.” Xu Ye gently stroked the boy’s hair, “Today, you truly made me feel that you have grown up. You can now make decisions for your own future. I don’t know what you want to achieve, but since you are willing to work for it, I won’t stand in your way. The learning process will be challenging. If you ever feel tired, just let me know. I can secretly hide you away and rest for a while.”

Chu Yichen couldn’t help but laugh when he heard the last sentence, “Dad, aren’t you afraid of Father’s whip?”

Xu Ye’s face turned red, “I’m already so old. Why would he still be hitting me?”

Chu Yichen leaned his head on Xu Ye’s shoulder and said, “I will study hard.” He had always been a cool-headed person, and it was rare for him to show childlike affection and dependence in front of Xu Ye.

Xu Ye put his arms around his shoulders and asked, “Would you like another bowl of chicken soup?”

       “…Forget it.”

Today was Chu Guangyue’s eightieth birthday. The family of three went to the main house to congratulate the old man on his birthday.

The old house was bustling with people coming and going. Chu Yichen, wearing a black suit, stood behind Chu Yu, calmly waiting for his father to introduce him to the politicians and businessmen who came to celebrate his birthday, with a vague aura of calmness and indifference.

Chu Guangyue’s eyes fell on him for a long time, and he asked Xu Ye beside him, “Has this child made a decision?”

Xu Ye was stunned for a moment, then smiled, “Yes.”

The old master Chu glanced at Chu Yunhan, who was standing not far away talking and laughing with his peers, then turned to Chu Minran, the slightly younger son of Chu Xuan, and said, “Among the younger generations, he is the only one who can take charge of the Chu family. But I’m worried…” The words broke off here, and the old man didn’t say anything further but only sighed softly.

Xu Ye frowned slightly as he looked at Chu Yichen, who had already entered the role and was advancing and retreating in a controlled manner.

In a green courtyard, Chu Yunhan, dressed in a white suit, stood on a wooden bridge and scattered fish food to the bottom of the bridge out of boredom. Feeling someone standing next to him, he turned his face sideways and met Chu Yichen’s gaze. There seemed to be many emotions in those dark eyes, but none of them were clear. They were like black holes, making people feel inexplicably in danger.

“When did you start enjoying socializing?” Chu Yunhan asked.

Chu Yichen smiled lightly, “If you want to get something, you have to pay some price.”

Chu Yunhan was puzzled and asked with a blank look on his face, “Huh?”

Chu Yichen didn’t say anything. He grabbed a handful of fish food from the bag in Chu Yichen’s hand and sprinkled it on the pond. The koi carp swarmed under the bridge, slapping the water and making bursts of water sounds while fighting.

Two figures, one black and one white, stand on the arch bridge. From a distance, they look like two competing chess pieces on a chessboard.

Chu Yunhan didn’t know at that time that his life would be intertwined with the person next to him, entangled in love and hatred.

Extra 1 – Master’s Desire for Control

On a late spring night, the hour hand was at an angle of ten o’clock.

On the fourth floor of Hanguan No. 8, the training room called the Cage was brightly lit. Chu Yu sat on the sofa, his dark eyes looking quietly at the naked man in front of him.

Xu Ye had a collar around his neck and was kneeling on the carpet with his hands on the ground. In his mouth, he held a thin long biscuit, and his face filled with an expression of restrained impatience. After a while, an ‘ngh’ sound was heard, Xu Ye’s body trembled, and he lowered his head. The biscuit in his mouth was bitten off, and the crumbs fell to the ground.

This was the fourth one that had been broken. The reason why he bit off it was not because he was hungry, but because…

Lust surged through his body, staining his skin a light crimson. Between Xu Ye’s round buttocks was a rabbit’s tail that was constantly twitching. The white fluff on it trembled and looked very cute. However, in the secret back hole covering it, there was a huge vibrating and rotating di-do. The obvious protrusions on the column rubbed against the intestinal walls, squeezing the sensitive glands and causing him to resist moaning with a sobbing voice.

Seeing Xu Ye biting his lip and looking at him in sorrow and embarrassment, Chu Yu narrowed his eyes slightly and pressed the remote control in his hand.

The thick di-do buried deep in the back hole increased the amplitude and frequency again. Xu Ye gasped and arched his back, lowering his body even lower. His trembling legs were almost unable to kneel, and his whole body was trembling. “Master…please…” he whimpered and begged for mercy.

“I told you. Every time you fail, I’ll speed up the speed.” The man said slowly, “You only have one last chance. Hold it in your mouth for ten minutes. You are not allowed to bite it off, you are not allowed to drop it, and you are not allowed to ejaculate before I give you permission. Of course, you can also give up, and then Shen Jiayan will be at my disposal.”

Xu Ye’s eyes were filled with water. He tremblingly picked up the last long biscuit on the plate and bit it gently. The mechanically operated di-do in the back hole strongly squeezed the sensitive points on the inner wall time and time again. The numbing pleasure went straight from the groin to the brain, and the unrestrained sexual organ between the legs was raised high. He could only endure it, suppressing the desire that was about to burst out in his body. The fuzzy guttural voice that escaped sounded like pleading or moaning and combined with his posture, it added a bit of lustful charm.

Tortured by desire, time seemed to last forever. Xu Ye finally couldn’t help crying because he could only sob softly while holding the biscuit in his mouth. Tears overflowed from the corners of his eyes, and fell on the carpet.

“Do you want me to let him go so badly?” Chu Yu squatted down, raised his chin, and gently stroked the slightly red and swollen wound on Xu Ye’s lip with the pad of his thumb, his eyes as dark as the sea. He said slowly, “Every time I see this wound, it makes me want to tear him apart.”

Xu Ye didn’t dare to move and couldn’t speak. He just looked at his Master and whimpered. The suppressed lust rolled through his body, making him clutch the carpet tightly.

It was his fault. It was he who brought Shen Jiayan back from the United States to help him build White Crane’s e-commerce platform; it was he who didn’t realize the other party’s feelings for him until it was too late; it was he who drank uncontrollably; got half-drunk at the annual meeting, and then went to the terrace with Shen Jiayan in a daze.

The moment he was embraced by Shen Jiayan, there was a momentary lapse in his mind, and he softly called out, “Master?” Then everything went out of control like a wildfire. The gentle and careful kiss rolled over his lips, gradually becoming more intense, taking away his breath bit by bit. When Xu Ye realized what had happened and started to struggle, Shen Jiayan was like a hungry beast, suppressing him with force, ravaging his lips and tongue roughly, and kissing him as if he was going to devour him. By the time Leopard and a group of bodyguards pulled Shen Jiayan away and knocked him to the ground, Xu Ye’s lip had been bitten. Shen Jiayan looked at him, smiling wildly and a little desolately, “I’ve hurt you, and Chu Yu won’t let me off easily. Whether I can be safe from his hands depends on you. Xu Ye, how much affection do you have for me?”

When Chu Yu saw the wound on his lip, the low pressure in the room was almost suffocating. The seven bodyguards, including Leopard, knelt down and received twenty lashes without saying a word, and Tang Can, the head of the execution hall, took the punishment himself. The soft whip used for punishment was added with black gold thread. These bodyguards were trembling in pain but did not dare to make a sound, which made Xu Ye, who was watching from the side, feel like a knife was twisting in his heart. If the bodyguards who failed to protect him were treated with such harsh punishments, the treatment for Shen Jiayan, who forcibly kissed him, would be even more terrifying. However, Jiayan had been his college classmate for four years and working partner for a year, and Jiayan had helped him solve the challenges in platform construction, assisting the White Crane in advancing step by step. He had no affection for Shen Jiayan, only appreciation. It would be a pity for such a young man with unlimited potential to be ruined. That’s why Xu Ye interceded for Chu Yu even though he knew the man was furious. At that moment, the man’s cold gaze seemed to freeze the room.

“You want me to let him go?” Chu Yu looked at him expressionlessly, “Okay.”

He gave Xu Ye a chance. However, the first four biscuits were broken, leaving only the last one.

Even his jaw was trembling, and the swelling desire made it almost impossible for Xu Ye to think. He instinctively curled up and knelt down, barely raising his head to look at the Master in front of him with hazy eyes, like a small rabbit caught by a ferocious beast with no way to escape, he anxiously awaited the other party’s decision.

Chu Yu’s gaze passed over the swollen genitals under Xu Ye’s body and fell on the wound on his lips, his eyes as dark as night. He raised the collar, making his slave stand upright. The changed position intensified the stimulation of the vibrator. Xu Ye, who was already unable to control himself, grunted even harder and trembled all over. In this situation, he couldn’t stand at all, and his whole body was leaning on the man’s arms. The biscuit in his mouth was not broken, and his face was slightly pale.

Chu Yu knew Xu Ye’s physical reaction very well. This situation had reached its limit, and he would not be able to bear it any longer. The man turned off the remote control switch in his hand, held his waist with one hand, clasped the back of his neck with the other, and kissed the slender biscuit. Fragments fell to the ground, while some found their way into Xu Ye’s mouth. The kiss was gentle and lingering. The moist tongue licked the wound on his lip like a caress. The contact between lips was very gentle, as if they were carefully treating a treasure that had been buried for thousands of years.

Xu Ye raised his face to respond to the kiss, and the tears in his eyes fell from the corners of his eyes and were gently wiped away by his Master with his slender fingers.

“Ahn, Master…” The moment the man held the upright c0ck between his legs, he trembled and said, “I can’t bear it anymore, please…”

“You can cum.” Chu Yu’s hand only moved up and down a few times, and with a cry-like gasp, a stream of white turbidity spurted out and splashed on him. Xu Ye, who was lost in the afterglow of orga-m, had his long eyelashes half drooped and leaned softly in the man’s arms. It took him a while to recover, and he murmured, “Master…”

“Slave, you soiled my clothes. How should I punish you?” The man pressed him against the wall, kissed him gently from the neck down, leaving many marks, and then used his tongue to touch the pale rose-coloured nipple. He rolled the tip into his mouth and licked and sucked.

“Hmm…” Xu Ye felt as if the restlessness that had just settled within him had sprouted anew, bursting forth like spring grass breaking through the soil. He then replied with a blushing face, “As long as Master likes it, anything is fine.”

       “Take off my clothes.”

Having received the order, Xu Ye reached out to touch his Master’s chest, unbuttoned his shirt one by one, and took off the shirt stained with his own semen. Then he gently unbuckled his belt and took off his pants and underwear. The thick c0ck was pressed against his lower abdomen without any restraint. Xu Ye’s face turned redder, and there was shy longing in his eyes.

The man moved closer, trapping him completely between himself and the wall, grabbing Xu Ye’s hand and placing it on his c0ck, looking at him with burning eyes.

“Master, do you want me to do it with my hands?” Xu Ye obediently held the hot long shaft with his long fingers and asked softly.

Chu Yu chuckled, lifted one of his legs, hung it on his waist, and slowly pulled out the di-do on his asshole. His fingers gently drew circles on the hole, and the breath blowing against the ear was ambiguous and erotic, “Put it in your mouth here.”

Xu Ye shivered, leaning his back against the softly wrapped wall, trying to raise his legs and then guide the thick erection to aim at the dilated hole. Standing on one leg like this made it a little difficult for him to move. He finally inserted the tip in, and the sphincter muscle that was once again stretched by the foreign object contracted suddenly, making the man groan.

“This little mouth is so hungry. Are you so eager to let me cum for you?” Chu Yu said teasing words while lifting his other leg, letting him hook it around his waist, and then holding his tight buttocks, he pushed himself up and fully penetrated without any gentleness.

Xu Ye gasped and put his hands around his neck. At this moment, almost all the weight of his body fell on the part where the two of them were joined together. His c0ck entered so deeply that he couldn’t help but tremble, “Master… it’s too deep, ugh…”

“Tell me who you are.” The man held his waist, pulled out slightly and then pushed in. He already knew this body well and deliberately squeezed the sensitive points hard.

“Ah─” Xu Ye raised his neck and gasped in response, “I am your slave. Everything about me belongs to you…”

       “Repeat.”

“Uhng, I’m your slave… Ahn─Master, it’s too fast… Please… everything about me belongs to you…” His words were shattered by the fierce invasion, and his eyes were filled with tears. The misty fog gradually appeared, trembling and rising with the man’s frequency, “Please… I only belong to you… Master, uhn─Slow down, please slow down… I can’t stand it anymore… Ahh─”

The sound of flesh hitting each other and the sound of the sticky liquid stirring in and out of the hole were mixed with Xu Ye’s louder moans and cries. The hot c0ck invaded that secret path again and again, stirring up all desires and occupying all emotions. His back rubbed against the soft anti-shock wall, and his body seemed to be on fire. Pleasure flew through his limbs, gathered in his lower abdomen, and spurted out.

On weekdays, considering Xu Ye’s physical strength, Chu Yu had always been restrained in having sex and would control the number of ejaculations of his slaves in a timely manner. But tonight, he had no restraint and rushed into that tight and hot wet hole, letting the man cum in his arms again and again. Until the end, he cried loudly and begged hoarsely under him, “Master, I can’t cum… please forgive me… wuwu… spare me…” Finally, he leaned softly against the man’s chest and fell asleep exhaustedly.

This time, it was really harsh. Xu Ye didn’t even wake up while taking a shower and cleaning his back hole. Chu Yu looked at his peaceful sleeping face, sighed softly, dialled Tang Can’s number and said, “Let Shen Jiayan go.”

When Xu Ye woke up at noon the next day, Chu Yu was sitting on the sofa by the bedroom window reading a book. Seeing that he was awake, he sat down by the bed and gently rubbed his waist, his movements very natural. They had been together day and night for many years, and they had already understood each other and had a tacit understanding of each other.

“Master.” Xu Ye hugged his arm and said softly, “I pleaded for Shen Jiayan not because I have other feelings for him. The only person I love in this life is you, and I only belong to you.”

There was a faint smile in Chu Yu’s eyes, “He’s taking the flight to Washington tomorrow night. You can go see him off.”

Xu Ye was stunned and said in surprise, “Master is not angry anymore?”

The man looked at him and said, “I am learning to be generous.”

Xu Ye curled her lips and smiled, “Master, if you are free tomorrow night, can you accompany me to see you off at the airport?”

Chu Yu thought for a moment and said, “Okay.”

In the crowded airport, the young smart Shen Jiayan looked at the two people in front of him and said helplessly, “Seeing you guys coming to see me off together makes me feel really complicated.”

“Have a good trip.” Xu Ye, wearing a loose sweatshirt, said with a smile.

Shen Jiayan’s eyes fell on the crimson hickey on his neck. He turned to the man standing next to Xu Ye and asked, “Why did you let me go?”

Chu Yu looked at him calmly, “I won’t do anything to make him sad.”

“The person who forcibly kissed Young Master Chu’s person can still escape alive. When I think about it this way, it’s quite a sense of accomplishment.” Shen Jiayan chuckled, waved the boarding pass in his hand, and said to Xu Ye, “Xu Ye, if he makes you sad, remember to come to me.”

Xu Ye looked sideways at the person next to him and met the gentle gaze with a smile as clear as the breeze, “That day will not come. Take care.”

Outside the window, a huge plane roared towards the sky. A warm hand grasped his, and the same silver ring on his ring finger touched, reflecting dazzling light.

In this life, please let me always love you in my own way.

Chapter 13 – It’s hard to escape the Omegaverse trope!

Chapter 13

The next day, they didn’t continue with the previous day’s filming. Instead, they focused on Tang Xiyan and Wen Gu’s scenes. Qu Di noticed that Yang Ji didn’t show up.

Yang Ji’s assistant did come for a moment but left after talking to the director.

Due to Tang Xiyan’s injury, the director rescheduled his bedridden scene. He just had to wear a white coat and lie under a blanket while Wen Gu delivered his lines.

This scene took place indoors, and Qu Di, along with others, watched from outside. Shu Yi was dressed in costume and stood nearby with a small fan in his hand.

Qu Di discreetly created some distance between them. Shu Yi seemed oblivious to this and started a conversation.

“I heard you’re not from Y City.”

“Well, I’m from P City,” Qu Di replied.

“P City has the sea, right? I went there a couple of years ago for an ad shoot. It’s really beautiful, and the air is good. By the way, you must be great at swimming since you’ve lived by the sea.”

Qu Di blushed a bit and admitted, “Actually… I don’t know how to swim.”

“Oh?” Shu Yi looked surprised, then laughed, saying, “I thought people who lived by the sea would definitely know how to swim.”

“I didn’t grow up there, and I’ve never been to the seaside. I… uh… I lived in the mountains when I was a kid. I only moved to P City with my mother when I was a bit older.”

“I see.” Seemingly understanding that Qu Di wasn’t very interested in this topic, Shu Yi changed the subject. “So, did you graduate from Rong University? There aren’t many options for universities related to this field in P City.”

“Yes, I studied screenwriting at the university.”

Shu Yi glanced at Tang Xiyan in the distance and asked, “Then why did you become an assistant? From what I know, most screenwriting graduates either study abroad after graduation to improve their credentials or use connections to get into the industry directly.”

Qu Di didn’t avoid the topic and said, “People say that graduating equals unemployment. Right after graduation, it’s a bit tough to find work in screenwriting. So, I thought I could learn and gain some experience as an assistant. It might help in the future.”

That was the truth. In the current industry, without connections, even if you had exceptional talent, it was challenging to get recognized.

Shu Yi pondered for a moment and said, “If you don’t mind, you can show me your scripts. I’ve been in the industry for many years, and I can give you some feedback. And… if it’s suitable, I might be able to help you find an investor.”

Qu Di couldn’t believe his ears. He was about to grab Shu Yi’s sleeve but thought better of it, considering Shu Yi’s expensive outfit. He asked, somewhat hesitantly, “Is that for real? But… wouldn’t it be a bit troublesome for you?”

After all, they were on vastly different levels in the industry. Qu Di was just an ordinary assistant.

“It’s just a small favor, and right now, the market is so frenzied. Good scripts are too rare, and I don’t want to see good scripts buried. Plus, if you succeed in the future, just remember to look me up.”

“Are you serious?” Qu Di was a bit incredulous. He was aware that, even if his work was adapted into a film or series, he might not be able to afford someone of Shu Yi’s caliber.

Shu Yi gave him a serious look and spoke with a low, emotional tone, “I’m not joking. If it’s your script, I genuinely want to be a part of it.”

Qu Di was taken aback and couldn’t help but feel moved. He even felt Shu Yi’s hand on top of his head, patting him twice, as Shu Yi’s magnetic voice softly whispered, “Consider this my reward.”

He stood frozen in place, unable to comprehend what this meant. He didn’t have the confidence to tell himself that Shuyi had taken an interest in him.

“What are you staring at?!” Tang Xiyan took the small fan from his hand and only then realized it was out of battery. “Tsk, didn’t you charge it last night?”

“What?” Qu Di snapped back to reality, checking the fan, and indeed, it was out of power.

“I think I forgot… There were too many things last night, and the hotel has spares. Shall I go back and get one now?”

“Forget it, I’m not that fussy.” He grabbed a big bottle of water. “What were you thinking just now? I called you several times, and you didn’t respond.”

“Nothing…”

Tang Xiyan looked at his slightly flushed ears and muttered, “Why do you look like you’re in heat?”

He often used crude words like these, but this time, it seemed like he had poured gasoline on a fire in his heart. Qu Di, acting out of character, gave his arm a punch. “Stop saying nonsense, I’m just… a little hot.”

He didn’t know that this reaction, which seemed rather suspicious, actually diverted Tang Xiyan’s attention.

“You hit me so lightly. Haha, not even as strong as some Omega I’ve seen before! Need me to teach you a thing or two?” He began playfully throwing punches.

“You need to put more effort into it; otherwise, how can you hurt someone? Hey! Are you even listening to me?”

“…”

Thanks to his intervention, Qu Di’s thoughts were extinguished by his silliness, and he looked at him with a perplexed expression.

“Sss…”

Tang Xiyan might have touched on the wound on his back, which made him stop.

“I told you not to move.” Qu Di tugged at Tang Xiyan’s clothes, trying to see his wound, but Tang Xiyan clutched his collar tightly.

“There are so many people here! Do you have to lift my clothes?”

“I just wanted to check the wound.”

“I know it myself, I’m fine!”

Just as he said that, someone passing by calmly said, “You’re bleeding.”

Tang Xiyan: …

All the ointment provided by Yu Zhiyuan had been given to Tang Xiyan. He had promised to take his medicine and apply it on time, but the reality seemed to be different.

Tang Xiyan argued, “How can I reach my back to apply the ointment? Are you out of your mind?”

“You can call me. Didn’t I tell you to contact me if you need anything?” They both lived in the same hotel, so it was convenient. “If that’s not possible, you can ask the people in the next room for help.”

Tang Xiyan suddenly asked him as if he had heard a joke, “Are you serious?”

His neighbor was the prominent figure in the entertainment industry, a big brother, and the next one was Yang Ji, whom he didn’t get along with. And beyond that was Wen Gu, an Omega. It didn’t seem appropriate at all.

Qu Di had forgotten that they weren’t in their college dorms anymore, and they had just started getting to know each other. It wasn’t easy to ask someone to come over in the middle of the night to apply ointment.

“What about your medicine?”

Tang Xiyan honestly said, “I didn’t bring it.”

“… Such artists are really worrisome.”

“Did you take your medicine?” Dr. Yu specifically mentioned that he had to take the anti-inflammatory drugs, or he would have problems with inflammation.

“I did.”

Next, Tang Xiyan had another scene to shoot, and the hotel wasn’t too far from the set. Qu Di took his room key card and went back to fetch it for him. He quickly arrived at the hotel, greeted the receptionist, and headed straight to the 53rd floor. Wen Gu was in room 5315, while Tang Xiyan was in 5316.

When Qu Di passed by Wen Gu’s room, he noticed that the door wasn’t properly closed; it was slightly ajar. He knocked on the door and called out, “Is anyone there?”

However, there was no response from inside. He was about to close the door when a cleaning lady stepped out of Tang Xiyan’s room. It seemed like Tang Xiyan had ordered room service, but both of them were startled.

Qu Di smiled at her, nodded, and closed the door on his way out. The cleaning lady pushed her cart away, and when she turned the corner, she glanced back at Qu Di, who had used his key card to enter the room. She didn’t ask any questions; after all, she was accustomed to seeing various assistants and managers accompanying big celebrities.

Tang Xiyan had invited Wen Gu and Shuyi to have dinner with him today, and he suggested, “I saw a nearby Hai Di Lao 1A very famous hotpot branch restaurant! restaurant. How about I treat you to some takeaway hot pot? We can have it in my room.”

It had been a while since he had finished shooting so early. Tang Xiyan was excited to order takeaway, and he and Qu Di began making selections. Fifteen minutes later, Qu Di glanced at the total, and he had ordered nearly a thousand yuan worth of food…

He advised him, “Don’t eat too much tonight.” The food here was quite expensive…

“We are three men plus a female beta. This little food won’t even fill the gaps between our teeth!”

Chapter 13 – Suicide to redeem love debt

Chapter 13

Since that day, Lou Yu announced his seclusion for meditation and no longer received guests.

Si Lan didn’t know what kind of emotions Lou Yu had after realizing the misunderstanding with the Moth King. Lou Yu was always one to keep a straight face, and you couldn’t tell anything unusual from his appearance.

But he vaguely felt that Lou Yu’s aura had lowered significantly.

Lou Yu sat on the jade stone by the hidden stream, closed his eyes, and immersed himself in his cultivation. Days passed while he remained motionless, deeply focused, but perhaps a bit too focused.

Si Lan noticed that as Lou Yu continued his meditation, his complexion worsened, and his spiritual energy became unstable. Faint traces of demonic energy flickered in his forehead. Si Lan suspected that Lou Yu’s spiritual core was tainted by a malevolent force. If he continued this way, it could ruin his cultivation.

“Lou Yu…”

Si Lan shouted, but he couldn’t change the past that had already occurred.

Suddenly, Lou Yu coughed up blood, his face turned deathly pale, and the malevolent energy invaded his spiritual core, causing his inner energy to go haywire.

He had broken the rules of his emotionless cultivation practice – the heartless Dao.

His previous cultivation was now backfiring, as if a wild beast was rampaging through his internal organs, meridians, and vital energy pathways. It sought to tear his flesh apart. If he didn’t regain control soon, he would fall into demonic cultivation.

“Lou Yu…”

Si Lan’s heart leaped into his throat. After the heartless Dao was shattered, if he couldn’t regain control of his inner energy, he would fall into demonic cultivation, leading to a reversal of blood and energy flow. In severe cases, it could even lead to death.

Though he knew Lou Yu couldn’t hear or see him, Si Lan continued to chant incantations and guide Lou Yu in his cultivation.

Lou Yu slowly wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and rose from the ground. He resumed his meditation, his eyes closed.

After some time, the chaotic energy around him gradually subsided, and a hint of color returned to his pale face.

Si Lan sighed with relief. He initially thought that Lou Yu had not been moved, but now he realized that Lou Yu had been enduring his feelings. Centuries of cultivation had nearly been lost.

“More devoted than me,” Si Lan suddenly mused, with a touch of self-deprecation. “I lost three wives and was just heartbroken for a few hundred years. My cultivation is still intact.”

The little white dragon in his arms perked up and cast a cold, indifferent glance at Si Lan.

Si Lan suddenly realized what he had said and chuckled awkwardly, explaining, “Although I married three wives, I only met them once, and I never touched them.”

After saying that, Si Lan couldn’t help but mutter to himself in his heart that he was explaining things to a little white dragon who probably had no idea what a wife was.

After finishing his meditation, Lou Yu’s face was as white as paper. He appeared like a lifeless body, devoid of expression, as he left the Xuan Ling Sect.

Si Lan had no idea where he was heading, but in his current state, he would be vulnerable on the road. Even ordinary cultivators could pose a threat to him.

Si Lan followed closely behind Lou Yu and watched as he arrived at the Sacred Demon Valley.

The raging fire had burned for three full days before finally subsiding. The demon valley now resembled a massive, sunken ruin, covered in nothing but dust.

Si Lan saw Lou Yu leap down to the valley floor.

Lou Yu lightly waved his sleeve, and the dust on the ground dispersed. In the corner, a purple barrier became visible, inside of which lay Zhong Mu, dressed in a red wedding gown.

A sword was impaled through Zhong Mu’s chest, and her eyes were gently closed. Her enchanting and glamorous face, now peaceful as a child, appeared like a breathtaking painting.

Lou Yu stepped gently into the barrier and touched Zhong Mu’s face.

At that time, when he thrust the sword into her, what was he thinking?

Did she hate him?

Did she resent him for not trusting her?

Did she blame him for not giving her a chance to explain?

Lou Yu stared fixedly at Zhong Mu’s face, and he slowly pulled the sword from her chest. He had heard the Moths’ words earlier, knowing that using the Cleansing Dragon Branch on the sword and stabbing it into their hearts would seal them.

However, when he pulled out the sword, Zhong Mu in his arms didn’t awaken. Instead, she gradually turned into dust and dissipated in the wind before his eyes.

His calm expression faltered as he reached out to grasp the dust, but his efforts were in vain.

“How could this be?”

He had thought that pulling out the sword would break the seal, and Zhong Mu would come back to life. But why did her body disintegrate like this?

Lou Yu was in despair, as if he were making his last struggle. He clung tightly to the head of the person in his arms.

“Don’t…”

Don’t disappear, don’t leave.

If you really hate him, you should work hard to survive, and you should seek revenge from him!

“Zhonggu…”

“Zhonggu…”

He shouted the name of the person in his arms over and over again, but unfortunately Zhong Mu’s body still disappeared, leaving not even a trace of him.

He hurriedly used the soul-searching bracelet to search for Zhongmu’s soul, but there was no trace of Zhongmu in the six realms and five elements.

How so?

The Dragon fruit juice inserted into Zhong Mu’s heart can obviously only seal Zhong Mu’s soul, but why is Zhong Mu’s soul now scattered?

No body, no soul.

Lou Yu couldn’t bear it for a moment and vomited blood. Then he picked up the sword in his hand and slashed around like crazy. Wherever the sword energy hit, bursts of dust were stirred up, and the entire Demon Valley was shrouded in ashes. .

Si Lan’s line of sight was also blocked, and he subconsciously called Lou Yu’s name.

“Lou Yu! Calm down!”

At this moment, Lou Yu’s qi and blood attacked his heart, his inner breath was disordered, and he vomited blood again.

He didn’t understand why Zhong Mu was so distraught?

He had no intention of killing Zhong Mu completely, he just wanted to seal him away forever.

“Zhong Mu…”

Lou Yu covered his heart and knelt on the ground.

It started to rain heavily, and the raindrops washed Lou Yu’s face, making it look even paler.

He suddenly remembered the tears that Zhong Mu shed at the last moment, and the wind blew across his eyes…

He couldn’t help but stretched out his hand and touched his eyes.

It seemed that he had never even said a sincere word to Zhong Mu, but Zhong Mu had already left him forever.

Master once said that his life has been so smooth that he has never experienced regret, but once he experiences it, it will be unforgettable and heartbreaking.

For the first time in his life, he had doubts about his cultivation method.

Afterwards, the seeds of doubt destroyed the worldview he had built up over hundreds of years.

He obviously killed monsters and maintained order in the world, but why did he lose the person he loved most? Too painful to live?

The whole figure seemed to have been crushed into pieces and turned into mud.

I can no longer find a complete place.

Is this the fruit of the Great Dao’s cultivation method?

Si Lan wanted to comfort Lou Yu, but the hand he stretched out passed through Lou Yu’s body. He saw Lou Yu lying on the ground, curled up together in pain.

The heavy rain is still falling, and the whole world has become gloomy and gray.

Si Lan’s eyes were also red, thinking that if he could appear at Lou Yu’s side at that time and comfort Lou Yu, Lou Yu would not be so sad.

“Why?”

Lou Yu suddenly spoke, as if talking to himself out of thin air, but looking at him, he looked like he was having a conversation with someone.

Si Lan was shocked and followed Lou Yu’s line of sight, but saw nothing.

“Is it because he doesn’t eat raw meat that his cultivation is weakened and his soul is gone?”

Lou Yu stood up from the ground, lowered her eyelids, and blood-colored tears fell down drop by drop.

His Zhongguan has no reincarnation, no afterlife, and has disappeared from this world forever. He destroyed it with his own hands.

“I just want Zhong Mu now…”

He never knew what it felt like to love, he just felt that he must choose the most correct path. But this path made his life worse than death.

In the first half of his life, he promised Taoism, but in the second half of his life, he regretted it and only wanted Zhongmu.

He wanted to be selfish for once.

Si Lan didn’t know who Lou Yu was talking to. He looked around and saw no one at all. The Demon Valley at this moment is like a bloody mouth, full of weird and bizarre meanings.

Si Lan felt inexplicably horrified, as if there was a big hand invisibly controlling them. Just when he was suspicious, he saw Lou Yu in the heavy rain without any hesitation, directly drew his sword and killed himself, and blood sprayed out instantly.

“Lou Yu…”

The scene in the Demon Valley came to an abrupt end, and Si Lan and Xiao Bailong were instantly freed from the illusion of the Purification Curse. The fake building jade in front of him moved his eyelids slightly, and he was about to wake up.

Seeing this, Si Lan quickly probed into the opponent’s spirit, only to see that the spirit was completely deserted, with only a black evil controlling the body.

Since he couldn’t find any information from Jialouyu, he cast a spell to leave and returned to the banquet without anyone noticing.

But he couldn’t calm down at the moment. He held the wine glass to try to calm down, but the slightly trembling wine still betrayed his emotions.

Although he only experienced the Demon Valley incident from the perspective of a bystander, those scenes were flashing in his mind now. The Demon Valley was burned to the ground, the soul of the Moth King was destroyed, and Lou Yu committed suicide…

Scene after scene, the information conveyed was so complicated that he had so many thoughts in his mind, but he had nowhere to say it. He unconsciously opened his mouth, revealing a hint of bitterness.

Everything in the world is determined by fate, and it is never up to anyone.

The last stage of Lou Yu’s tribulation period was the love tribulation. Lou Yu once thought that the love tribulation came from his junior sister Yun Lan, so he thought about killing demons outside to avoid the love tribulation. However, he never thought that at that time, the love tribulation was in the catastrophe. It started when he killed the demon.

Si Lan sighed, closed his eyes, and put his fingers between his eyebrows.

The last scene in the Purification Curse shows Lou Yu talking to an invisible person.

What did that person say that made Lou Yu willing to commit suicide?

Is he the same person who controls Lou Yu’s body now?

Si Lan was lost in thought when he suddenly heard a familiar voice.

“Your Majesty… Your Majesty…”

It was Xie Li’s voice.

Si Lan suspected that he was hallucinating, so he turned around and saw a small dumpling in green robe breaking into the banquet and shouting loudly. The little dumpling looked left and right, and when he saw Si Lan, he ran towards Si Lan with excitement on his face.

“…” Si Lan.

It turned out to be Xie Li! After Xie Li died, Qu Ze followed suit.

Xie Li threw himself into Si Lan’s arms and murmured softly, “Oh, Your Majesty, I miss you.”

Thought Si Lan was fake, but craving a feast was real.

Xie Li was young and always eager to join in the fun. He used to tag along at various occasions like weddings and other worldly matters in the demon realm. However, this time, Si Lan had gone out for a feast without informing him. Once he found out the location, he immediately rushed over.

After all, there was nothing more important than feasting.

Si Lan could only helplessly massage his temples and then looked at Qu Ze, “How did you both get here?” Qu Ze was usually quite diligent, but this time, he had made a mistake and allowed Xie Li to come to such a dangerous place.

Qu Ze quickly bowed and admitted his mistake, “My Lord, I failed to watch over Xie Li properly. Please, punish me.”

At this point, Si Lan didn’t want to impose further punishment. He just sighed, rubbed his temples, and said, “Qu Ze, please take care of Xie Li.” Now that they were here, they probably couldn’t leave.

Fortunately, Qu Ze had a relatively high level of cultivation, and even with just one arm, his combat power in the demon realm was second only to the twelve peak lords. Si Lan felt relieved entrusting Xie Li to his care.

Qu Ze respectfully acknowledged the order.

“Uh, why is it all drinks? Where’s the food?” Xie Li grumbled, grabbing Si Lan’s belt with one hand, trying to climb into Si Lan’s lap. However, in the next moment, Xie Li’s consciousness suddenly heard a threatening voice.

“Stay away from him.”

Xie Li raised his head and saw a small white dragon with golden eyes glaring at him with anger.

“Or I’ll turn you into a pig’s head.”

The little white dragon squinted its eyes, but its mouth didn’t move; it only transmitted its voice directly to Xie Li’s ears.

Xie Li shivered, realizing that his true form was a beautiful brown jade, invisible to others. How did this little white dragon know? And he even threatened to turn him into a pig’s head!

Frightened, Xie Li quickly climbed down from Si Lan’s lap. With his heart pounding, he cast a fearful glance at the little white dragon and dared not demand food any longer.

The little white dragon, seeing Xie Li had yielded, retracted its head.

Clumsy and unruly, without any manners.

How did the Demon Lord educate his disciples, after all?

Chapter 65

Suo Yang never thought about the possibility of getting married.

In the past, he used to think that the country wouldn’t allow it. From the day he realized he was gay, the option of ‘marriage’ disappeared from his world.

Later, when he met Zhou Mo, he realised that there was another way to start a family with a lover, and that was registering marriage abroad. Although it was not recognised back in the country, at least one would be psychologically satisfied.

But even then, he didn’t think he would meet someone with whom he could get married.

He was not a person who paid attention to rituals. He always felt that a certificate was just a psychological comfort. As long as two people truly love each other, so what if they didn’t have the certificate?

However, at this moment, facing Shen Huiming, his worldview was wavering crazily.

“Huiming…” Suo Yang stared at him, his lips trembling when he called his name.

Shen Huiming looked up at him, “Do I need to give you some time to think about it properly?”

He said, “Suo Yang, I won’t force you or rush you. I proposed on impulse, but I also promise that I sincerely don’t regret it. You don’t have to say yes on impulse. I also respect any decision and choice you make.”

Suo Yang looked at him and couldn’t help but feel touched.

The person in front of him always seemed to know how to make himself irresistible and always knew how to take the initiative to pave the way for him.

Shen Huiming didn’t force everything. He just worked hard and waited for Suo Yang to take the initiative to turn to him.

How could he refuse such a person?

Just like back then, he knew that the cufflinks in his pocket were secretly put by Shen Huiming, but he still couldn’t refuse the other party’s request to meet. He knew that after that date, the relationship between the two would change drastically, but he still couldn’t refuse the other party’s date invitation.

He couldn’t refuse Shen Huiming, just like he couldn’t refuse fate.

Suo Yang raised his hand, held it with Shen Huiming’s, and pulled him up.

“I’ve seriously considered it,” Suo Yang said, “Let’s get married.”

What does it mean to get married?

For them, in such an environment, as long as they stayed in this land, same-sex marriage had no substantive meaning, but that was not what they wanted.

Suo Yang no longer hoped for what he couldn’t get. Call him negative or pessimistic. For him, ‘marriage’ only meant the determination of two people to be together for a lifetime, nothing more.

Although Shen Huiming kept saying that he was just being impulsive, Suo Yang knew the other person’s character very well. He was impulsive but never hasty. Shen Huiming was telling him that he was ready to grow old with him.

So, what reason did he have for not agreeing?

After all, he also hoped that when he was seventy or eighty, he could still swim in the lake with Shen Huiming in the summer and skate in the winter.

Suo Yang said, “I thought about it seriously and couldn’t find any reason not to agree.”

Shen Huiming stood up, their fingers clasped together, and he asked, “Is there a reason for agreeing?”

“Yes.” Suo Yang said, “We love each other. This reason is enough.”

Maybe without today’s accident, they would have had such a conversation someday in the future, but no one knew when that ‘someday’ would come.

Anyway, the ending was still the same, so it was not a bad idea to advance the plot.

“Let’s go home.” Suo Yang said, “I’m a little hungry.”

There were still faint traces of tears on Shen Huiming’s face, which made Suo Yang want to tip-toe and kiss him right now.

Suo Yang took out a tissue, wiped Shen Huiming’s face carefully, and said with a smile as if coaxing a child, “This little face has cried until it’s all smudged.”

Shen Huiming laughed out loud and hugged each other again.

When they left the airport, the snow fell even harder. Suo Yang was worried and did not let Shen Huiming drive. The two took the airport bus back.

“By the way, I almost forgot something.” Shen Huiming said, “Call Zhou Mo. He is scared.”

Speaking of Zhou Mo, Suo Yang sighed.

He called Zhou Mo before he came out. The other person was on his way to the airport. He turned around and went home after knowing that Suo Yang was fine.

Suo Yang could tell that the other party was not in good condition, and after hanging up the phone, he sent Cheng Sen another message.

“He was greatly affected by what happened in the past, right?” The two of them were sitting on the bus. Shen Huiming shook Suo Yang’s hand hard as he spoke.

After all, he was not on the plane at the time. Even if he asked countless people who had experienced it personally about the situation at that time, he could not truly empathize with it.

Everything was like this. Without personal experience, it was impossible to evaluate it truly and objectively. Some people might think that since they landed safely anyway, nothing was dangerous. However, even for one second before landing, the people on the plane were also experiencing a thrilling game, and the object of their game was fate.

So, when he asked about Zhou Mo’s condition, he was actually asking about Suo Yang.

Post-traumatic stress disorder. Shen Huiming has heard of such a disease.

“Actually, Zhou Mo also likes this profession very much,” Suo Yang said. “I still remember the first day we put on the flight attendant uniform. He would ask anyone he saw if he was handsome. At that time, we both bet on who can fly long enough to upgrade to first class first.”

Shen Huiming held his hand and listened to him quietly.

“But he stopped flying before he had enough.” Suo Yang smiled, “Suddenly, I remembered that someone told me today that he felt that Zhou Mo had gone to enjoy life because he found a rich husband. “

He looked down at the hands held by the two of them and smiled, “Rumours are really scary.”

Zhou Mo and Cheng Sen met in economy class. At that time, Zhou Mo had not flown long enough to go to first class, and Cheng Sen was just a small business owner who had just started his career and was still worrying about his own business. Back then, Cheng Sen didn’t wear suits worth tens of thousands of yuan and couldn’t afford to fly first class at several times the regular fare. However, Zhou Mo still chose to be with him. After about a year of being together, Cheng Sen’s business started to take off, and he began to accompany Zhou Mo on trips during his free time.

“People always make a major life-changing decision because of a certain incident,” Suo Yang said. “It’s not easy for Zhou Mo.”

He turned to look at Shen Huiming, “But don’t worry too much about me, I’m fine.”

It was snowing heavily outside, and it was so warm in the car that it made one want to sleep.

Suo Yang leaned lightly on Shen Huiming’s shoulder, breathed a long sigh of relief and said, “It’s so good to be by your side. I can finally take a break.”

=======

Because of this accident, Suo Yang and his entire crew were given a few extra days off.

Suo Yang didn’t mind this, and Shen Huiming was happy because Suo Yang’s days off meant they could spend more time together.

On the first day of Suo Yang’s days off, Shen Huiming let the other party sleep in and didn’t disturb the other party. He just left a note asking the other party to get up and remember to eat. The last signature was: Your husband.

Suo Yang got up and saw the note on the pillow next to him. Holding it in his hand, he read it, and his eyes curved into a smile.

He lay on the bed, holding the note to the sun, feeling that life could not be better than it was now.

When he got up, he looked at his phone. Zhou Mo sent a message last night, asking him to have dinner together. He had already fallen asleep at the time and didn’t see it until later.

Suo Yang replied to Zhou Mo after washing up and then went to the kitchen to find something to eat.

Zhou Mo called, “Let’s have lunch together?”

“Okay,” Suo Yang sat at the dining table and asked worriedly, “Are you okay?”

Zhou Mo smiled, “I was really scared about you at first, but my husband took good care of me, and I am now resurrected with full health.”

Suo Yang heard him laugh and breathed a sigh of relief, “At work?”

“No, I just got up.” Zhou Mo said, “Give yourself a day off today. Even a model worker must have some rest time!”

The two made an appointment to go to a restaurant where they often meet for lunch. Suo Yang said, “I have something very important to tell you.”

“How important?” Zhou Mo asked, “Have you finally decided to change careers?”

Suo Yang smiled, “No, I haven’t flown enough yet.”

“Tch, I thought you were scared after what happened yesterday.”

He was indeed a little scared, especially when he discovered that the candy he had put in his pocket was missing. Although he knew he shouldn’t, he couldn’t help but think that this might be a warning of disaster.

But fortunately, he was indeed overthinking.

Afterwards, Suo Yang thought that the candy Shen Huiming gave him might have been a negotiation with God on his behalf. God liked the candy so much that he decided to pamper the people on the plane.

It was a bit funny, but he felt happy just thinking about it.

Zhou Mo said, “Apart from this, I really can’t think of anything that is ‘very important’ to you.”

       Suo Yang smiled softly.

“Could it be that your parents finally decided to meet you after seeing the news?”

Suo Yang was silent for two seconds and then said, “That’s not it.”

Zhou Mo snorted, “Forget it. Let’s stop the guessing game. You can tell me when we meet later.”

After hanging up the phone, Suo Yang sat there eating breakfast and thinking about Zhou Mo’s words.

Would his parents see the news about this accident too?

Would they care if they saw it?

Suo Yang sighed. It was undeniable that he still hoped that he could ease up a little with them, even if it were just a phone call during the holidays.

No matter how indifferent family members were, they were still family members.

He picked up his phone and sent a message to Shen Huiming: I made an appointment with Zhou Mo for dinner at noon. Are we going to your parents’ place together in the evening? I brought them gifts from Berlin.

The two started making out as soon as they entered the house last night, and Suo Yang didn’t even have time to unpack his luggage.

After eating, he opened his suitcase, put a change of clothes into the dirty clothes basket, and took out gifts for Shen Huiming and his parents.

Of course, there were also some for his own parents.

For so many years, Suo Yang would bring gifts to his parents every time he went out, but he had never given them out.

Shen Huiming called, “Are you coming over this afternoon? Or should I go find you after you get off work?”

“I’ll come find you when you get off work,” Suo Yang said, “Huiming, come home with me in two days. I want to see if I can untie the knots I’ve had for so many years.”

Chapter 73 – An illegitimate child?

Chapter 73 – An illegitimate child?

The voice on the other end of the phone, Jian Luo, hesitated for a few seconds.

The persistent voice of Jiang Jiang came from the phone, “Hello, Luoluo, are you there, hello…?”

Jian Luo hesitated for a moment, but in the end, a smile slowly gathered in his eyes, and he couldn’t help but chuckle. Laughter surged uncontrollably within him, and he shook, lifting his face to meet the red eyes of Lu Shifeng.

“Cough…”

The smile abruptly stopped, and Jian Luo turned away, maintaining his suspicion. “Why would they have such guesses? No matter how you look at me, I’m a human, right? Can a dragon have a human as their son?”

Jiang Jiang explained, “It’s not impossible. The relations between different races are like this. Dragons originally took human forms, and there have been cases of aliens giving birth to humans when we still had reproductive abilities. Plus, someone confirmed that they smelled the scent of a cub on you, and you’re only 20 years old, isn’t that a child?”

“…”

He had to admit, the logic was sound.

Jian Luo hesitated. “You don’t believe it, do you?”

There was a suspicious silence on Jiang Jiang’s end, and after a while, he said, “Luo Luo, actually, I’ve always thought that the Marshal wouldn’t harm a human, but I never thought you could be his son.”

Jian Luo replied, “No…”

“Are you not a clone?” Jiang Jiang suddenly got excited, and his tone became cautious. “Then who is your mother? Are you viviparous or oviparous? Does Marshal Lu really have a partner?”

Jian Luo could only laugh and cry. Just as he was about to answer, the communicator was taken over, and Lu Shifeng’s voice sounded low, “He’s not my illegitimate child.”

In Jiang Jiang’s daze, the call was disconnected.

Jiang Jiang was dumbfounded, looking at the disconnected communicator in his hand. He slowly began to ponder a question: Although he denied the illegitimate child issue, did he not deny having a partner and a son? Or… was he overthinking it?

On the other side, the call ended. Jian Luo remembered Jiang Jiang’s words and couldn’t stop laughing. “Calling me your son, what were you thinking? Hahaha, I’m your son, what should I call you, grandpa? Hahaha…”

The car fell silent, with only Jian Luo’s merciless laughter remaining.

The driver in front couldn’t help but sweat for this guy. He dared to joke with Lu Shifeng, who had once not even been born, and not only was he born, but he was also so brazen in front of him.

Jian Luo raised his head and met Lu Shifeng’s seemingly smiling eyes. His laughter got stuck in his throat.

Lu Shifeng asked, “Why aren’t you laughing anymore?”

Jian Luo cleared his throat and said, “Well, it’s not that funny, really.”

“Is that so?” Lu Shifeng raised an eyebrow, and a faint, almost imperceptible smile crossed his handsome and refined face.

Jian Luo pretended to be in pain, clutching his stomach. He moaned, “Oh… it hurts.”

Lu Shifeng leaned lazily against the chair. Jian Luo’s weight was insignificant to a powerful dragon. A hint of barely noticeable amusement appeared on his face.

Jian Luo continued to act, not making a sound for a while. He silently opened his eyes and saw Lu Shifeng’s teasing gaze. He felt like he couldn’t keep up with the act anymore.

“Cough…”

Lu Shifeng said, “No more acting?”

Jian Luo pouted. “Not fun anymore.”

Jian Luo was genuinely curious about some online comments, so he quietly accessed the StarNet and began browsing through the page’s information.

As expected, it was quite lively. The top trending topic was:

#WhoseCubIsThis#

When it came to the scent of a cub, most Dark Star beings wouldn’t be mistaken, especially when it came to the scent of a child. The discussion was also quite fervent:

“It must be the Marshal’s.”

“They both have the scent of the Dragon Clan, so it must be the Marshal’s, right?”

“Are you all sure it’s his son? What if it’s his partner?”

“If Lu Shifeng is mated with a human, I’ll eat my hat.”

“+1”

“+1”

There were many agreements below. Jian Luo’s mouth twitched. Did he and Lu Shifeng really lack chemistry to this extent? Why should he have chemistry with Lu Shifeng anyway?

He continued scrolling, and there was an explanation below:

“I’d rather believe this is a newborn cub.”

“Yes, otherwise, if it’s a partner, their lifespan would be too short.”

“And humans are too fragile.”

Jian Luo’s gaze gradually darkened. He touched his chin and looked at Lu Shifeng. “Do you think my belly is full of dragons, or could there be a human baby?”

Lu Shifeng was also reading the messages and raised an eyebrow when he heard Jian Luo’s question. Jian Luo swore that he detected a hint of disdain for his intelligence in that one look.

After a while, Lu Shifeng said, “You’ve had an ultrasound.”

“…”

Right, he had.

The car continued its journey to the military base, and Jian Luo was famished. Someone handed him a Sacred Dragon Fruit, and when he looked at the fruit placed in front of him, he used to find it very appetizing, but now it seemed tasteless.

Lu Shifeng sat across from him and asked, “Why aren’t you eating?”

Jian Luo honestly replied, “I don’t know what’s wrong, but I find it too greasy.”

The room fell silent.

Calculating the days, the dragon egg in his belly had been there for five or six months. If he calculated correctly, it was time for the first signs of pregnancy. Each race had different reactions to pregnancy, and Jian Luo’s reaction turned out to be the worst possible result—loss of appetite.

Lu Shifeng sat across from him, raised an eyebrow, and said, “What do you want to eat?”

Jian Luo thought seriously, “I want to eat spicy noodles.”

“…”

The room fell into silence again.

Fortunately, the Marshal wasn’t too worried. “Human food?”

Jian Luo nodded. He didn’t know why, but suddenly, he really wanted something spicy, and he wanted it now. “Yes, human food.”

Lu Shifeng considered it. “I’ll have someone buy it.”

Jian Luo suddenly felt frustrated. “You can’t buy it.”

Lu Shifeng looked at him, appearing puzzled. “Where can’t you buy it?”

“It’s not available.”

Jian Luo suddenly felt irritated. He sighed. “Forget it, I’m tired, and I want to sleep.”

He wanted to get up and go past the table and chairs.

But as he passed by, Lu Shifeng grabbed him. “If you don’t eat, what about the baby in your belly…”

Jian Luo was already frustrated, and this question triggered him. “Baby in my belly? I haven’t eaten for one night, what’s wrong with that? Will it starve to death? Don’t I have the freedom to do this?!”

The words tumbled out without thinking.

As the words fell, Jian Luo immediately regretted them. After his fierce outburst, he cautiously stole a glance at Lu Shifeng’s face. He found that the Marshal still had the same deep and calm look in his red eyes, as if no emotion could sway him, including now.

For some reason, seeing Lu Shifeng made Jian Luo’s anger dissipate.

Forget it. What’s the point of making a fuss? It wasn’t his fault that there were no hot and sour noodles. Everything he ate, drank, and lived in belonged to someone else. He was just a temporary guest. Was there any need to make a scene?

Jian Luo sighed, “I’m sorry.”

After some thought, Jian Luo decided to yield to reality. He turned around, “Let me try Sacred Dragon Fruit again. Maybe I’ll suddenly start to like it?

He took a step, but Lu Shifeng grabbed his wrist. The man said in a calm voice, “If you don’t want to eat, then don’t.”

Jian Luo was stunned. “But won’t that starve the dragon cubs?”

“He can skip a few meals,” Lu Shifeng glanced at Jian Luo’s stomach, “but I heard that it’s very painful for humans to skip two meals.”

Jian Luo choked, “I’m… I’m okay.”

He thought that they would fall into silence, but he had underestimated Lu Shifeng’s determination. “Let’s go.”

Jian Luo watched him walk towards the door, a bit out of sync, and stammered, “Where are we going? Where are we going?”

Lu Shifeng didn’t look back, “Moonlight.”

At eight o’clock in the evening, when Moonlight was bustling and busy, a luxury car parked at the entrance, and Lu Shifeng got out first.

Jian Luo followed and said from behind, “I don’t really want to eat meat right now.”

Lu Shifeng told him to follow, “Tell your request to the head chef, let them make it for you.”

As everyone knew, Moonlight never made custom dishes. Even if the king of heaven came, they wouldn’t accommodate personal tastes. You could order from the menu, but the dishes couldn’t be adjusted to your preferences, and even the emperor didn’t receive such treatment.

Following Lu Shifeng inside, Jian Luo suddenly remembered something. “Um, can I ask you something?”

Lu Shifeng asked, “Go ahead.”

“They said I’m your son,” Jian Luo scratched his head, “so if someone asks later, should I admit it or not?”

Lu Shifeng froze in his tracks.

Jian Luo quickly added, “I don’t mean anything by it. I just want to make sure.”

Lu Shifeng had gradually gotten used to the peculiar way humans thought. He looked at the somewhat embarrassed Jian Luo and smiled slightly, “It seems you’ve accepted your new identity quite quickly?”

What the hell with this new identity!

Jian Luo immediately retorted, “I haven’t accepted anything!”

Even if he agreed, Su Liang didn’t know if he could accept it. Who wanted to be father and son with their child’s dad? That generational gap was terrifying to think about!

Lu Shifeng’s smile grew stronger. He paused and said, “If someone asks about you later, just say that.”

Curious, Jian Luo leaned closer, “Say what?”

Because of his curiosity, he was standing quite close, and after hearing the answer, his eyes gradually widened, “Can you really say that?!”

Chapter 88 – Who Says Omegas Can’t be as Explosive as Alphas

Chapter 88

The first day of the preliminaries ended quickly, and the number of participants was halved as many contestants returned home with their belongings packed. Among those who successfully advanced, in addition to the famous star players from previous years, there was a group of newcomers who caught the intense attention of the media due to their outstanding performance.

That night, the exclusive forum for the Bounty Tournament witnessed a frenzy of new threads. Soon, every participant who had performed remarkably in the first round had a dedicated thread of their own. Lu Jingning and Wen Xingchen undoubtedly deserved this special honor, but unfortunately, with so many groups and scattered viewers, their popularity still lagged behind those already famous star players.

As for Yan Hebin, who barely made it to the 20th place in the group, he had no outstanding highlights throughout the event and remained a typical low-key qualifier. Yet, for this aloof overachiever, it seemed he preferred staying out of the limelight and not attracting too much attention.

Lu Jingning had already explained the matter of the bug-like man to Wen Ye and the others. Both of his senior brothers made speculations similar to his own, believing that the bug-like man was most likely after the rewards of this tournament.

One thing was certain: this mission had to be successful.

Lu Jingning felt the need to gain deeper insights into his future opponents. After finishing dinner, he propped himself up on the table and started operating the terminal.

He first entered Bai Chen’s topic thread without hesitation, but after scrolling through it, he found that the so-called “revealing information” in the top post was just close-up shots, leaving him speechless, and he exited the thread.

Then, he randomly clicked on several popular topic threads and inadvertently ended up in Wen Xingchen’s post.

Unbeknownst to him, Lu Jingning was immediately captivated by the handsome figure in the top picture.

As he read through the comments, his eyes scanned the replies one by one:

Comment 4: Ah ah ah, this guy is so handsome! I feel my heart fluttering!

Comment 6: OMG, his movements are so swift and decisive. I seem to see the unparalleled Bai Chen.

Comment 7: Where’s Starforge Entertainment? Why aren’t they promoting him? This person has both talent and looks; he’s amazing!

Comment 33: Can you all stop for a moment? Don’t you see he’s a student from the Empire’s top military academy? Why talk about promoting him? He doesn’t need it.

Comment 34: I don’t care whether he needs it or not; I’ve fallen in love!

Comment 35: Can someone get me his contact information? I want to follow his star blog! Ugh, what a breathtaking Alpha!

Comment 87: Does this handsome guy have a partner? I want to date him! I’m young, beautiful, and gentle!

Lu Jingning: “…”

As he continued reading, he couldn’t help but roll his eyes at the fangirling posts. He intended to exit the thread, but the host kept updating new refined pictures, and he was unwilling to leave. He ended up scrolling through the entire thread.

After a moment of silence, Lu Jingning returned to the top comment and saved each picture one by one. In his mind, he couldn’t help but grumble, “What’s the use of having a crush? Even if he’s exceptionally stunning, he’s already mine! Give it a rest!”

Just as Wen Xingchen passed by, he saw Lu Jingning deeply engrossed in operating the terminal. He couldn’t resist walking over, leaning down, and softly asking, “What are you doing?”

Lu Jingning was so focused on admiring the newly saved pictures of his boyfriend that he didn’t notice anyone approaching. Startled by the voice, his heart skipped a beat.

Feeling a bit flustered, he involuntarily fumbled with the terminal and accidentally pressed a nearby button, causing the images to be displayed in full view.

The clear image that appeared in front of them was the final frame of Wen Xingchen, standing over a defeated opponent with an indifferent expression. The way his clothes fluttered slightly in the chilling wind added a unique charm to his familiar face.

Wen Xingchen unexpectedly saw his own image, and he couldn’t help but pause for a moment. But quickly, a faint smile appeared on his lips, and he looked at Lu Jingning with a teasing gaze, asking, “What? You can’t get enough of me even when I’m right here?”

Lu Jingning couldn’t help but blush.

It was absolutely impossible for him to admit that he was fangirling. At this moment, he staunchly replied, “Who’s interested in looking at you? I’m just collecting evidence!”

Wen Xingchen raised an eyebrow, “Evidence?”

“Yeah, evidence!” Lu Jingning maintained a stern expression, showing all the photos he had collected in front of Wen Xingchen. He was straightforwardly the first to accuse, “You told me to take it easy before the match, but what about you? You already attracted so many genuine fans after the first preliminary round. I thought you wanted to keep a low profile, Wen-ge?”

Seeing Lu Jingning’s act of trying to cover up, Wen Xingchen couldn’t help but find him cute. Rather than exposing him right away, he cooperatively said, “Indeed, I was wrong. So, what do you think would be the best way to handle it?”

Even though it seemed like Lu Jingning had the upper hand, he couldn’t shake the feeling that things weren’t so simple when he looked at Wen Xingchen’s expression.

After a brief pause, Wen Xingchen seemed to have thought it through and sincerely suggested, “As compensation, how about I let you give me a kiss?”

Lu Jingning: “???”

What kind of compensation was this?

Before he could react, in the blink of an eye, Wen Xingchen had already reached out and pulled him in.

Their gazes met as they came close, their eyes just inches apart.

Wen Xingchen teased, “Do you really want to punish me? Hm?”

The lazy tone in his voice was incredibly alluring.

Lu Jingning was momentarily stunned by Wen Xingchen’s unexpected move, and in the next moment, various idioms sprung up like bamboo shoots in his mind.

Bewitching charm, deliciously enticing, captivating like a fox… and not to mention, “You don’t kiss, you don’t kiss.”

Without any hesitation, Lu Jingning tilted his head back and, before Wen Xingchen could speak again, firmly pressed his lips against his.

Wen Xingchen had only intended to play with him, but he hadn’t expected Lu Jingning to actually kiss him. For a moment, his body stiffened in surprise.

Lu Jingning noticed the short pause and, satisfied, used his fingertip to trace his lips, as if savoring the taste of the perfect kiss.

Smugly, he asked, “How does it feel to sell your charm, Wen-ge?”

Wen Xingchen’s expression flashed subtly, and he leaned closer, saying, “It feels good. I want to sell some more.”

From Lu Jingning’s perspective, Wen Xingchen’s collar had opened slightly due to his position, revealing a clean and sexy neck, full of tempting allure.

Perhaps inspired by the earlier topic thread, Lu Jingning’s gaze shifted from the partially exposed charm, and in a sudden realization, he unexpectedly took out his terminal.

Before Wen Xingchen could react, a series of virtual camera shutter sounds rang out as Lu Jingning took several pictures.

With a sense of contentment, Lu Jingning thought, “That’s right, he’s right here. Why would I want someone else’s second-hand pictures? Perfect, I’ll just keep these photos as my secret stash!”

“…”

Even Wen Xingchen hadn’t expected that his private photos would be exposed in this situation. He suppressed the corner of his lips and wordlessly leaned down, sealing Lu Jingning’s lips with his own, kiss after kiss.

Lu Jingning didn’t anticipate that Wen Xingchen would get angry and take direct action. Feeling a mix of irritation and amusement, he tried to push him away, but with each affectionate peck, the passion was stirred, and he couldn’t help but melt into the warmth of Wen Xingchen’s embrace.

After a long while, Wen Xingchen released him and looked down at Lu Jingning with sparkling eyes, chuckling, “What’s the use of hiding photos? Isn’t the real person much better than those pictures?”

Lu Jingning’s reddened face “tch”ed, giving a haughty smile, “I don’t mind!”

Wen Xingchen didn’t argue back and just teased, “Alright, your willingness is the most important thing.”

Everyone noticed that Lu Jingning seemed to be in a very good mood after the first match.

He often stayed quiet, hugging his terminal for quite some time, which was a sight they had never seen before.

However, as the second round of the preliminaries was about to begin, Wen Ye reminded him to check the groupings for the next match. Lu Jingning and Bing Yunlin had conducted a thorough investigation of the bug-like creature known as Bai Chen. The feedback they received indicated that although it belonged to the insect race’s army, its specific rank remained unknown, and the information had been encrypted. Not the best news.

The insect race’s energy system differed from the human information molecule system. Male insects were scarce and physically weak, usually staying on the mother planet for reproduction. On the other hand, female insects had undergone a long process of evolution and had several different forms. Bai Chen, as a female insect, seemed to be a highly advanced warrior, if her appearance was any indication.

Most importantly, Bai Chen was in the same C-zone as Lu Jingning, which meant they were very likely to encounter each other in the upcoming matches.

After the reminder, Lu Jingning finally stopped indulging in his fantasies and entered his personal code on the tournament website to check the grouping for the second round.

The results showed that Bai Chen wasn’t in his group, but he noticed another name that was somewhat stubborn — Lan Yuanzhou.

Thinking of Lan Yuanzhou’s unwavering determination to challenge him, Lu Jingning couldn’t help but feel a headache.

His gaze swept across the rules of the next match and lingered on the words “team mode” for a moment. He rubbed his chin and said, “Big brother, you’re pushing me to this point…”

The author has something to say: Wen-ge is willingly selling himself, ah!
