Chapter 16

The temperature-controlled and humidity-regulated basement was eerily quiet. Soft light fell from the top of his head, shining on Chu Yunhan’s bare skin. The skin that had not seen the sun for a long time showed a porcelain-like whiteness, which made the red marks on the back even more eye-catching.

They were the marks of whip strokes, crossing and slanting from side to side, each one almost equidistant from the other in a parallel reddish colour, but none of them broke the skin or drew blood. He knelt on the carpet, his legs slightly apart, his upper body upright, and his hands hanging by his sides. Because of the pain, his body trembled slightly, and beads of sweat from his forehead slid down his cheeks and dripped on his collarbone.

He was much thinner than two months ago. His collarbone was obviously sunken, his chin was sharpened, and there were faint dark shadows under his eyes. The whole person looked fragile and tired. Despite having a dedicated nutritionist and chef preparing balanced meals for him daily and eating everything as ordered by the man, his weight continued to drop. He could hardly sleep and spent his days curled up in his room, refusing to go anywhere. His nerves had become extremely sensitive, rejecting all physical contact except from Chu Yichen. Whenever anyone came close, he would instinctively flinch away.

In fact, what he feared most was his touch, and Chu Yichen knew this in his heart. It was just that this fear was suppressed by other deeper fears in the repeated training. Because of the fear of pain and punishment, Chu Yunhan’s body suppressed his fear of him and turned it into a slight tremor.

If you stop here… everything will be in vain.

You made your decision from the beginning, right? Why are you still wavering?

There’s just one last step left.

The man sitting on the black single sofa clenched the riding crop in his hand, stood up, walked to the kneeling man, raised his chin with his hand, and said, “What should you address me as? Have you thought about it?”

Chu Yunhan’s eyelashes trembled slightly, and he pursed his lips tightly without saying a word.

It had been three days. The man’s methods made his life worse than death, but he still refused to call out the word ‘master’. He couldn’t explain why he was still persisting at this point.

       There was obviously nothing left.

Dignity, hope, and faith were torn apart bit by bit by that man’s own hands, and even his body became completely uncontrollable. What was it that he was still struggling to hold on to now?

       He no longer knew.

He only knew that he could kneel down to Chu Yichen, cry and beg for mercy, and obey his rules because he knew deep down in his heart that all the actions were forced. But the addressing him as ‘Master’ was different. This means that in addition to giving up his body, he must also give up the person named Chu Yunhan.

And that was the last thing he had.

Every night when he couldn’t sleep, he told himself over and over again that no matter what happened in this basement, he was still alive, and he was still himself. He was afraid that under Chu Yichen’s ploy, he would really begin to identify with his existence as a sub and truly become a puppet that only succumbed to sex and lost its soul. So no matter what, he never said it.

For Chu Yichen, the acknowledgement of identity as a slave was the most important step. He wanted to turn a person who originally had a normal sexual orientation and without any BDSM needs into a pure sub, and Chu Yunhan’s sense of self had to be completely shattered.

At this point, the two sides fell into a stalemate, like a tit-for-tat chess game, reaching the end. Whoever could persist to the end would be the winner.

As time passed, the silence became a challenge to patience. The man put down the whip in his hand and said in a deep voice, “Okay. Let’s try and see how long you can hold on.”

Chu Yunhan, who was pressed face down on the sofa, let out a mournful cry of pain as Chu Yichen’s thick c0ck pushed in from his rear hole without any gentleness.

Before this, even if it had a punitive nature, the man would do a good job of expanding him when he fvcked him to ensure that he did not harm him.

But this time, it was different.

The expansion was not yet in place, and so did the tunnel. Yet the back hole was forcibly stretched to an unbearable range. Blood and lubricant dripped down the thigh from the torn wound. Chu Yunhan’s face turned pale, and his whole body was shaking. The slightest movement of that iron-like c0ck made his teeth chatter in pain. However, the man had no intention of taking pity on him at all, and after a short pause, he started thrusting. He pushed in deeply and quickly pulled out from between the white buttocks. There were faint traces of blood in the slippery lubricating fluid. The pain blurred Chu Yunhan’s vision, and he began to struggle violently. However, his waist was firmly held down. Chu Yichen adjusted his posture and invaded again. One ferocious blow after another pushed Chu Yunhan to the point that he could not even kneel properly, and he fell on the back of the sofa like a broken doll.

At this time, Chu Yichen put away all his tenderness, like a piece of cold ice, cruelly hurting him with the sharpest shape.

There was no pleasure at all in such rough sex; there was only endless pain. The pain twisted his world into horrific shapes, “It hurts so much…” His voice trembled like a helpless butterfly in the storm, begging for mercy from the other party, “It hurts so much, Yichen…”

The man’s movements paused. The blade of flesh broke through the opening and plunged straight to the bottom, “I told you how to address me. If you can’t learn, I’ll do it until you can’t cum out of your front.”

Tears rolled down Chu Yunhan’s face. He shook his head and begged in a choked voice, “Please… please…”

He was trapped in a terrible nightmare.

The pain swept through everything, and his body couldn’t help shaking—the pain seemed to be endless. The vibrator attached to the flesh forced him to maintain an erection while the black leather harness firmly blocked all desires inside. The horrific torture at the front and the ruthless abuse at the back were intertwined as if they were about to tear him to pieces at any time.

       It hurt so much.

It hurt so much that he wanted to pass out and be done with it.

It hurts so much that he couldn’t help but let that word out of my mouth.

It turned out that he couldn’t hold on to anything…

He closed his eyes. The tears that hadn’t dried up yet shook down on the black sofa with each impact.

“Mas…ter…” When his dry lips trembled and said this word, Chu Yichen stood up close to him and injected streams of hot liquid into his body. When the man’s c0ck slipped out of his back hole, blood, lubricant, and white turbidity flowed down the inner thigh. The man turned off the vibrator and turned his ravaged body over to face him.

Chu Yunhan was already exhausted, with wet tears hanging on his pale face. His eyelashes trembled slightly, and his eyes were so hollow that there was no light. He said hoarsely, “Please… kill me…”

       He gave up.

He gave up resistance, gave up struggling, and gave up his own self.

Chu Yichen’s pupils shrank suddenly, his eyebrows furrowed, and he said coldly, “You can’t die.”

Chu Yunhan looked at him, with some dim light in his eyes, as if he was about to say something, but in the end, he said nothing. His eyelids closed weakly, and he fell asleep due to exhaustion.

The man stood in silence for a moment, then took a thin blanket and wrapped him in it. He then took him out of the basement, placed him on his big bed, and said to Du Chuan, “Call Zhang Juan here.”

Wearing a nightgown, Dr. Zhang hurried over and asked nervously as soon as he entered the door, “What’s wrong with you? Something happened again?”

“I’m fine. He’s the one that’s injured.” Chu Yichen looked in the direction of the bed.

Zhang Juan relaxed a little and lifted the blanket. He saw the whip marks on Chu Yunhan’s back and the mess between his legs, and frowned, “How did it get like this?”

“I lost control for a moment.” The man sitting on the sofa had a calm expression, like a lone traveller wandering through a vast desert, carrying with him the weight of dust, desolation, and loneliness yet remaining unreadable to those who looked at him.

Seeing him like this, Zhang Juan shook his head helplessly. He spread Chu Yunhan’s legs and used an anal expander to open the mucous membrane gently. He cleaned the inside, carefully inspected it, applied medicine, and said, “The sphincter muscle is torn and bruised inside. It’s very difficult to heal the injury there. Don’t feed him hot food for the next few days. His wound needs to be cleaned and medicated every day. If you want him to get better, don’t sleep with him anytime soon, especially in such a rough way.”

Zhang Juan was born into a family of renowned medical practitioners, but after his father offended a high-ranking official, the family fell into ruin. The Chu family had once extended kindness and protection to him. Upon returning from studying abroad, he stayed on as the Chu family’s private physician. His relationship with Chu Yichen was exceptionally close, almost like brothers, so his manner of speaking was much more casual than that of others.

Chu Yichen sat silently and said nothing.

Zhang Juan looked at the man on the bed, then at him, and said, “Are you torturing him, or are you torturing yourself?” Finally, he couldn’t help but add, “I know there are some things I shouldn’t say, but…”

“Then don’t say it.” The man interrupted.

Dr. Zhang choked and angrily put the glass bottle on the small table, “Fine, I won’t say anything. The medicine is here, so go ahead and do whatever you want…” and went out angrily.

Chu Yichen got up and went to the bathroom to get warm water and wiped the sleeping body clean little by little. Chu Yunhan, who was unconscious at this moment, was like a quiet doll, obediently at his mercy. His eyes were closed tightly, and his long eyelashes were stained with tiny teardrops, making him look sad and fragile. His lips were bitten again, red and swollen, and took on a more beautiful colour. The man carefully applied ointment to his injured area, then wrapped the man in a fluffy blanket and carried him back to his room, laying him gently on the bed.

       No light was turned on.

The moonlight outside the window was bright, spreading a layer of frosty white on the ground.

Chu Yichen sat by the bed and looked at the sleeping man quietly. He was as still as a statue, and his eyes were swarming with many mixed emotions. They were entangled and swirling, forming a huge vortex that sucked in all the light.

After sitting quietly for a long time, he made a move and gently stroked the cheek with his fingers.

“I wish I could just destroy you.”

Under the moonlight, the man spoke slowly, but his slightly lowered eyes were full of sadness and loneliness.

He sat by the bed all night.

It was as if he was a lonely king guarding a deserted city.

Chapter 93 – Bian Rang is pregnant again

Chapter 93 (Extra 15)

Inside the cave, the tiger and Bian Rang faced each other.

Neither was adept at socializing, so they sat silently, holding their breath to eavesdrop on the conversation outside.

Outside the cave, Yu Wuxia’s clothes fluttered in the wind, a faint smile on his face.

Jiuying’s lips tightened into a straight line. Faced with this bald donkey who had nearly killed him, he couldn’t muster a smile.

“What do you want to tell me?” he asked.

“Is there a scar on your heart?” Yu Wuxia looked at him skeptically.

“Yes…” Jiuying stared at him.

“It’s the scar left by the Heavenly Law’s tail finger. It torments you whenever it rains,” Yu Wuxia smiled, “but it can be healed. If you destroy the Heavenly Law’s severed tail finger, the scar will naturally disappear.”

“Really?”

“Mm.”

“Why are you telling me this?” Jiuying frowned at him. Despite hearing that this bald donkey had undergone a profound transformation after coming back to life and no longer sought to destroy the six realms, he still harbored some distrust towards him.

Would he really be so kind?

Could he be hatching another bad idea?

“Meeting each other must be fate,” Yu Wuxia shook the bell on his right arm. Inside the cave, the tiger emerged.

Jiuying noticed a matching bell around the tiger’s neck.

The tiger showed no expression, walked out without looking at Yu Wuxia, and swished its tail as it walked away.

Yu Wuxia followed behind the tiger, saying, “The Heavenly Law’s tail finger is now in the Demon Lord’s hands. You can ask him for it.”

With that said, the man and the tiger disappeared into the morning mist.

In the mist, faint sounds of intersecting bells could be heard.

*

When Bian Rang woke up from the bed, he didn’t see Jiuying and assumed as usual that Jiuying had gone out to find food for him. He stayed in bed, slept a little longer until noon, and still didn’t see Jiuying return.

They had agreed earlier to go to the Ninth Heaven in the afternoon to find Si Lan and destroy the Heavenly Law’s tail finger.

Now where could Jiuying have gone?

Bian Rang got out of bed, threw on a long robe, and walked out absentmindedly.

A white bird chirped and landed on his hand. He touched the bird’s forehead, about to communicate with Jiuying, when he sensed a smell of blood carried by the mountain wind.

Turning around, he saw Jiuying covered in blood in front of him.

He quickly let go of the bird in his hand and rushed to Jiuying. “What happened? Were you attacked by a wild beast?”

Jiuying didn’t speak. He trembled as he unbuttoned Bian Rang’s long robe stained with blood. Bian Rang lowered his head and saw that the ferocious scar on his chest had disappeared.

Bian Rang suddenly understood.

Jiuying smiled relievedly, but blood overflowed from his mouth. “The scar is gone…”

After saying that, he collapsed into Bian Rang’s arms.

Bian Rang hurriedly helped him into the cave and examined his injuries. “Didn’t we agree to go to the Ninth Heaven together?” He untied Jiuying’s long robe soaked in blood, finding no wounds on the surface, suspecting Jiuying had internal injuries.

The sword transformed from the Heavenly Law’s tail finger was not easily destroyed; casting spells on it would backfire on the caster.

Therefore, Jiuying had never intended to take Bian Rang to the Ninth Heaven. While Bian Rang slept, he went alone to find Si Lan and, with Si Lan’s help, exerted all his strength to destroy the sword.

At the moment the sword was destroyed, the soul of Yide, trapped within, was also freed. Yide reincarnated and went to find Kui.

Jiuying was injured by the sword’s aura, almost shattering his internal organs. The ringing of swords kept buzzing in his ears. After destroying the sword, he dared not stop and immediately returned to Sanxu Mountain. It wasn’t until he saw the scar on Bian Rang’s chest disappear that he felt relieved, lying down on the bed, his breath faint.

He reached out and touched Bian Rang’s face, comforting, “I’m fine, just need some rest.”

Bian Rang’s face was grim, silent. He continuously infused spiritual power into Jiuying until Jiuying’s breathing stabilized, then spoke, “When a ghost dies, it becomes a wisp and must reside in the realm of the underworld. If you die, I won’t see you again.”

Only then did fear flicker across Jiuying’s face. He held Bian Rang’s hand tightly, coughed weakly, and said, “I… I won’t die. I know my limits.”

Bian Rang wanted to retract his hand but couldn’t. He didn’t know where Jiuying got the strength to grip him; moments ago, he seemed as fragile as a thread.

Jiuying’s hand fell to Bian Rang’s collar, as if he intended to unbutton it again. Bian Rang instinctively tightened his grip, frowning at him. Jiuying awkwardly said, “I just want to… cough cough, confirm again.”

Seeing his pale face, Si Lan reluctantly helped him undo his clothes to confirm. He reached out to touch Si Lan’s chest, causing him to pause briefly.

The scar on his chest was gone, but the bruised kisses in shades of green and purple remained intertwined like ancient patterns.

“Cough, cough.”

He suddenly coughed again.

Si Lan immediately bent down to check on him, but he abruptly pulled Si Lan into his arms.

Now grown, he had a tall and slender figure compared to Si Lan, with skin not as fair but more wheat-colored. When their bodies overlapped, it seemed like a wild beast had ensnared Si Lan from behind.

“Si Lan, I want to hold you.”

With a lowered head, Haowei’s almost imperceptible kiss landed on Si Lan’s neck, his voice soft and nearly inaudible, yet with a rising intonation, as if he were coquettish.

Si Lan didn’t struggle, nor dared to, afraid of hurting this ghost.

Haowei murmured, “When the snow in the Northern Plains melts, we can start anew.”

Si Lan sighed, “You should focus on recovering first.”

“Mm.”

Outside the cave came a strange noise, a white bird flew in, and Si Lan wanted to get up to check, but Haowei held him tightly from behind.

Haowei had fallen asleep.

Even in dreams, the strength in his arms did not diminish.

Si Lan could only sigh, gripping Haowei’s hand back, unable to shake off the words Haowei had said earlier.

“When the snow in the Northern Plains melts, we can start anew…”

In fact, back then, “When the snow in the Northern Plains melts, I will return,” was just something he used to comfort Haowei. He hadn’t expected to be able to return to cultivation after his soul dispersed.

Perhaps it was his determination for Haowei, for the child, or perhaps the heavens softened, but in the end, he returned.

After Haowei slept for a while, he finally loosened his grip on Si Lan’s hand, muttering indistinctly.

Si Lan leaned closer, hearing him intermittently call his name.

“Si… Lan… Lan…”

Si Lan’s heart stirred slightly as he looked at Haowei’s half-closed eyes and asked, “What will you do if I can’t come back?”

“I’ll keep waiting.”

Just waiting, like it had been a hundred thousand years already, silently waiting.

Waiting until the seas dried up and the rocks crumbled, waiting until death.

Si Lan bent down and kissed Haowei’s lips. A tear fell from his eye onto Haowei’s forehead, and Haowei turned over groggily.

Si Lan walked out of the cave and saw a jade seven-star bottle on the ground, containing several immortality pills.

These pills could heal Haowei’s internal injuries.

He held the bottle and looked up at the sky. “Thank you, Junli.”

Facing the mountain wind, he stood silently for a moment.

“Si Lan!”

Inside the cave, Haowei woke up, not seeing Si Lan, and panicked as he got out of bed, loudly calling Si Lan’s name.

Si Lan heard him and walked in. Haowei saw him and immediately hugged him.

Like a child, Haowei murmured, “Where did you go?”

“Just outside.”

“Don’t go far.”

“I’m just at the door.”

“That’s… not allowed either.”

Si Lan fell silent for a moment. “Okay.”

Haowei smiled, a faint blush on his face, lowered his head, and lightly brushed lips with Si Lan.

Si Lan sighed inwardly.

After reuniting, Haowei became increasingly clingy, more and more like a child.

Haowei’s lips touched above Si Lan’s ear, “Si Lan, I feel little Ah Li is lonely with only Senior Brother.”

“Hmm?”

Si Lan looked at him in confusion, thinking he meant to bring Xie Li back, but Haowei pursed his lips and whispered, “Why don’t we have a little brother or sister for him?”

“…” Si Lan.

“Do you prefer a boy or a girl?”

“Haowei!”

“A girl then. We already have a son, so a daughter would be nice.”

“Haowei, you…”

“The daughter should look like me, no, she should look like you.” Haowei continued talking, pulling Si Lan towards the bed, not giving Si Lan a chance to refuse. “She will definitely be the most beautiful woman under the heavens.”

“…” Si Lan.

“What are you thinking? You should focus on recovering!”

“So, does that mean once I recover, it’s okay?!” Haowei’s eyes suddenly lit up.

Si Lan felt like the jade seven-star bottle in his hand was burning. He wanted to quietly throw away those immortality pills.

But in the end, he didn’t. He fed them to Haowei.

Haowei’s body recovered exceptionally fast. After recovering, he persistently persuaded Si Lan, finally tasting meat again.

After indulging fully, he touched Si Lan’s abdomen as if casting a spell, muttering, “Let’s have a daughter, let’s have a daughter, let’s have a daughter.”

Si Lan, infuriated, kicked him away.

At the year’s end, the sky showed an omen, clouds in the shape of a child covered Sanxu Mountain.

Suddenly, a thunderous laughter echoed from within Sanxu Mountain.

“He’s pregnant! He’s pregnant! Ahahahaha…”

Chapter 92 – Bullying Bian Rang

Chapter 92 (Extra 14)

When Jiuying parted from Bian Rang’s lips, both were breathing irregularly, their eyes slightly red, as if they had just been in a fight. The hot spring mist enveloped the cave, the temperature rising gently, flushing their faces with a rush of blood, their hearts beating like drums.

Bian Rang pushed Jiuying away, wiping his mouth, his expression slightly unnatural.

Jiuying wanted to say something, but his gaze suddenly caught Bian Rang’s bare image, and he swallowed hard, unable to speak.

“Bian… Bian Rang, don’t freeze.” Jiuying’s voice trembled faintly, his arms shaking as he dr4p3d a piece of clothing over Bian Rang, feeling the softness under his fingertips that softened his heart.

However, he didn’t dare to take further liberties.

That night, Bian Rang slept on the soft couch covered with beast skins that Jiuying had personally made, while Jiuying himself slept on a hammock. He felt good, the hammock swaying gently as he occasionally turned to look at the figure on the couch.

Moonlight bathed the ground in pale light, half of Bian Rang’s face bathed in moonlight, the other half hidden in shadows. He slept peacefully, hands curled against his chest, breathing calmly like a well-behaved child.

Jiuying quietly watched him like this until dawn.

The next day.

When Bian Rang opened his eyes, he was unexpectedly met with Jiuying’s face close by. His expression changed suddenly.

Jiuying smiled foolishly, “Are you awake?”

Bian Rang sat up, and Jiuying quickly took out a cloth soaked in warm water, as if to wipe his face. Bian Rang raised his hand to stop him, looking at him somewhat strangely.

“What are you doing?”

“Don’t move, I’m going to wipe your face.”

The warm cloth gently touched Bian Rang’s face. As Jiuying’s fingers traced near Bian Rang’s lips, he could faintly see traces left from their kiss last night, lips slightly swollen, faintly tinged with blood.

Jiuying couldn’t help but feel remorseful; last night, he had lost control for a moment, not gentle enough. Would he anger Bian Rang?

“That’s enough, Jiuying.”

Bian Rang looked up at the man before him. During the face wiping, he didn’t know what Jiuying was thinking, constantly wiping near his lips, almost pressing against his face.

Jiuying awkwardly withdrew his hand, put down the cloth, and proceeded to comb Bian Rang’s hair. Living in the Sangu Mountain now was different from the Nine Heavens; it was more convenient to tie up his hair.

“Bian Rang, your hair looks really good.”

The strands were distinct, silver-white like snow, flowing over his shoulders like shimmering silk.

Not just his hair, in fact, every aspect of him was handsome enough to make Jiuying’s head spin. A hundred thousand years ago, he had deliberately overlooked Bian Rang’s beauty, and now,

But Bian Rang said nothing, wanting to ignore the extraordinary young man’s affectionate tribute.

After Jiuying finished tying up Bian Rang’s hair, he looked at the fully revealed eyebrows and eyes of Bian Rang and couldn’t help sighing, “Bian Rang, you’re really handsome.”

Finally, Bian Rang couldn’t bear it anymore. “Jiuying, I’ve already told you, I don’t blame you. You don’t have to be so attentive.”

“I’m not just… I just want to be a little nicer to you.”

Jiuying realized he was growing increasingly timid. A hundred thousand years ago, he hadn’t blinked when Bian Rang was about to kill him. But now, when Bian Rang slightly frowned as if to get angry, he couldn’t help explaining, his heart pounding with fear.

After saying this, he looked at Bian Rang nervously. Bian Rang seemed speechless, pursed his lips, turned around, and walked out of the cave.

The moment Bian Rang stepped out of the cave, Jiuying quickly cast a spell to conjure a paper umbrella, holding it over Bian Rang’s head.

Bian Rang glanced at the paper umbrella above his head, then fixed his gaze ahead, asking as he walked, “You were almost sacrificed in the Five Pointed Nine Heavens Array by someone named Yu Wuxia?”

“Yes.”

“And someone named Fanyu’s blood was also to be sacrificed?”

“Yeah, that’s what I heard.” Jiuying wasn’t clear on the details, only knowing that apart from him, those selected included Dayong, the lord of the underworld, Xue Rong, and a drop of blood from Fanyu.

After the dissolution of the Five-Pointed Nine-Heavens Formation, they were supposed to enter the cycle of reincarnation, but he refused to forget Bian Rang, choosing instead to enter the ghost path and wait for Bian Rang’s return.

Bian Rang suddenly stopped, snapped off a tree branch, and drew a strange runic shape on the ground. The runes shimmered with light, momentarily expanding before dispersing like ripples.

Shortly after, the light waves converged again, but the runes remained unchanged.

This was a Soul-Searching Formation. If Fan Yu were still alive or, like him, gradually repairing his soul fragments, the formation would have responded. But there was no change now.

It seemed Fan Yu might not be able to be reborn anytime soon.

Come to think of it, with Fan Yu’s temperament, he would likely confront the Heavenly Law to the end, bearing deeper responsibilities and enduring longer atonement for his sins.

Bian Rang threw away the branch in his hand and stood between cliffs in silence.

Jiuying held up an umbrella, saying nothing and asking nothing more about Bian Rang’s affairs, quietly accompanying him.

For Jiuying, just being able to see Bian Rang was already a great fortune.

*

Dark clouds roamed in from the distant sky, birds circling low, and the air became humid and sultry, signaling rain.

Bian Rang lay on a soft pallet, covered with a blanket made of animal skins, his long hair loose, and a pale jawline peeking out from the furry skin.

Outside the cave, a torrential rain suddenly poured down, accompanied by howling mountain winds.

Fearing Bian Rang would be cold, Jiuying lit a fire outside and roasted several wild chickens. When the chickens were cooked, their fragrance filled the air. Jiuying went to call Bian Rang, but saw him curled up, clutching his chest, seemingly enduring intense pain.

Jiuying hurried over, wanting to touch Bian Rang but afraid of hurting him, so he gently held Bian Rang’s arm and said, “Bian Rang, what’s wrong?”

Bian Rang looked up at him, and Jiuying noticed his face was pale, sweat beading on his temples, his eyes dark and sunken. Jiuying’s heart skipped a beat. He looked down and saw Bian Rang tightly gripping the fabric over his chest.

Jiuying swallowed hard, his face paling. “Bian Rang, let me see.”

Bian Rang’s fingers clenched tightly. Jiuying patiently coaxed and gently separated Bian Rang’s fingers, unfastening his clothes.

By the faint light of the cave, Jiuying saw the scar on Bian Rang’s chest, more sinister and swollen than before, like a scorpion poised to strike on his fair, clean chest.

Jiuying’s heart felt as though it had been pierced. Trembling, he tentatively touched the scar. “What… happened to it?”

Bian Rang lay back into the animal fur blanket, eyes tightly shut, lips dry as he murmured, “It… aches on rainy days.”

Jiuying couldn’t find words, staring at the scar.

Another wave of pain hit, causing Bian Rang to breathe quicker, hand pressed against his chest, lips pressed into a thin line, devoid of color.

Jiuying cast a spell, palm against the scar, trying to ease Bian Rang’s pain. But this scar came from the depths of his spiritual altar, eternal and indestructible. Ordinary methods couldn’t heal it.

His mind involuntarily recalled past scenes—Bian Rang’s near-death escape from the killing formation, and his own betrayal, stabbing Bian Rang’s heart when he was defenseless.

Back outside, the heavy rain continued, its sound seeming to land directly on Jiuying’s heart, leaving it pitted with dense, lingering pain.

He was a bastard.

His lips trembled as he held Bian Rang, seeing him in such agony. Jiuying motioned for Bian Rang to bite him.

Bian Rang’s curled eyelashes glistened with moisture, meeting Jiuying’s gaze for a moment before turning away, ignoring him.

Helpless, Jiuying awkwardly kissed the scar, hoping to distract Bian Rang from his pain.

Bian Rang’s body stiffened for a moment.

In the rainy darkness of the cave, the light was dim.

Suddenly, a sharp intake of breath sounded. Bian Rang muttered hoarsely, “Jiuying!”

There was a hint of command in his voice.

Jiuying’s entire body seemed to ignite instantly, blood burning, skin feverish, eyes reddening, even his exhaled breath scorching.

He swallowed hard, grabbed Bian Rang’s wrist, and leaned down to kiss the wound, his actions a mix of selflessness and selfishness.

With misty eyes that exuded a shimmering allure, his originally bright pupils appeared even more affectionate. The voice from his throat, intended to stop Jiuying, unknowingly carried a lingering hint of intimacy.

“Ji… ying, don’t…”

This peculiar sensation gradually made him forget the pain in his heart.

Jiuying grew bolder, devouring like a wild beast, tearing bones and consuming.

Both their thoughts returned to the scene from a hundred thousand years ago, their first time.

In the illusion, Jiuying took advantage of Bian Rang’s unclear consciousness, seducing and forcefully indulging. Back then, Jiuying completely disregarded Bian Rang’s feelings, only obsessed with relentless torment.

Later, they established a relationship and spent harmonious days in the Ninth Heaven, freely indulging in their pleasures.

Now, after many years, their long-sealed bodies were just slightly closer, yet stuck together like burning fire, inseparable.

Jiuying didn’t go all the way. He didn’t want to continue bullying Bian Rang whenever he felt uncomfortable like before. After they completely opened up to each other, then he would wholeheartedly possess him.

Bian Rang felt a bit tired, lying on the soft couch, curled up sleeping. A furry beast-skin blanket covered his small frame.

Jiuying hugged him, closed his eyes intending to sleep, but no matter what, he couldn’t fall asleep, his lips involuntarily curled upwards.

He couldn’t help muttering to himself, “Jiuying, Jiuying, how can you be so spineless?”

Just a slight taste last night, and you’re this excited?

He was already sleepless last night, and if he didn’t sleep again today, he might not survive long.

Thinking about this in his heart, he drifted off until morning, feeling frustrated, but when he saw the sleeping face in his arms, his regret vanished in an instant. He lowered his head stealthily, giving Bian Rang a kiss on the forehead.

Still not satisfied, he continued downward, kissing Bian Rang’s nose and the corners of his lips.

Through the blanket covering Bian Rang’s body, he saw the marked neck and chest of Bian Rang, and his ears couldn’t help but burn.

Jiuying, oh Jiuying, you’re really not human.

Jiuying stretched lazily and walked out of the cave.

After the rain, the mountains and forests seemed to have been dyed with bright colors. The leaves were exceptionally green, and the mountains were especially black. The air carried a rich scent of dust, and faint winds rustled through the trees.

Jiuying experienced what “beauty” meant for the first time.

Having lived as a snake for so many years, he had never felt peace, tranquility, and happiness like this moment.

And all of this was brought to him by the person still sleeping.

“Master, slow down a bit, wait for your disciple.”

Suddenly, a strange male voice and the aura of a fierce beast came from a tho-ny path beside him.

Jiuying instinctively held his breath, narrowed his eyes, and adopted a defensive posture. Out from the path emerged a sleek and glossy tiger-beast with well-groomed fur. Behind the beast walked a man in black clothes with a shaved head.

Although the man’s attire was ordinary, his unique and outstanding aura marked him as someone extraordinary.

The man and the tiger-beast, upon seeing Jiuying, also paused slightly.

At this moment, Bian Rang walked out from the cave and stood behind Jiuying, looking at the man and the tiger-beast. “They…”

Chapter 21 – Surprisingly Comfortable

Gu Lizhou knocked on the door of 301 for quite a while, but no one answered. Instead, a middle-aged woman with dyed hair came up the hallway, holding a small folding stool in her hand.

“You’re also looking for Zhong Weishi ah?” The woman curiously sized him up.

“Ah.” Gu Lizhou nodded.

“He owes you money ah?” The woman asked.

Gu Lizhou was taken aback, “No ah, did he owe you money?”

“Yes ah, he hasn’t paid last month’s rent yet. Always delaying, delaying, and now I can’t even reach him by phone. Today, I’m determined to catch him,” the woman said.

When the old house was sold years ago, it was handled by Gu Lizhou’s father. Gu Lizhou didn’t know about it. It wasn’t until after his college entrance exams that he found out the old house was gone—he couldn’t go back.

“Are you the landlord here ah?” Gu Lizhou asked.

“No, the house belongs to my cousin. She’s gone abroad, so I’m here to collect the rent for her,” The woman couldn’t stop once she started talking. “The little kid is actually quite straightforward. He’s been living here for several years, but he’s too playful, always hanging out with a bunch of odd people. I suspect he’s deliberately avoiding me… If he doesn’t show up today, I’m going to call someone to change the lock.”

Gu Lizhou watched her make a call.

It was indeed off.

The woman started nagging again, “He’s also unwilling to find a proper job, always dreaming about becoming an actor. I mean, with the thousands of people in the Film and Television City, what are the chances that kind of luck will fall on him? It’s all about having connections ya. Kids just don’t understand these things…”

To Gu Lizhou, her chatter sounded like a buzzing bee, going on and on. It was getting hard to listen to, so he interrupted, “How much does he owe you ah? I’ll cover it for now.”

The woman was first delighted, then curiously asked, “Who are you to him ya?”

“Friend,” Gu Lizhou replied. “Auntie, wait here for me. I’ll go get my phone and transfer the money to you, alright?”

“Sure, sure, sure,” The woman smiled and nodded repeatedly.

After Gu Lizhou paid, he sat on the balcony, lost in thought.

Zhong Weishi would perform some kind of talent for them almost every night, so Cao Zhiheng had left a long bench in the hallway, too lazy to move it back inside.

The old lady who sold takoyaki would always greet him with a smile when she saw him, “Waiting for the moon again ah?”

“Ah.” Gu Lizhou lit a cigarette.

If it were anyone else, they might think he was sick in the head, but the old lady would cheerfully say, “The weather’s great today. The moon will definitely be bright.”

Tonight’s moon was indeed very bright.

In City B, the smog was severe, and even on clear days, it was rare to see such a clear moon. But Yucheng was different.

The night sky twinkled with stars, as plentiful as shells on a beach, so abundant that one could step on them with every other step.

His thoughts drifted away.

Around nine o’clock, most of the lights in the apartment building had gone out.

When Zhong Weishi trudged up the stairs, exhausted, he was startled by a tall figure standing still at the door of 301.

“You finally know to come back, huh?”

When the other party spoke, Zhong Weishi breathed a sigh of relief, “It’s you ah. You scared the hell out of me. What are you doing standing here in the middle of the night instead of sleeping?!”

As Zhong Weishi fumbled for his keys to open the door, Gu Lizhou stepped inside right behind him.

“Do you need something?” Zhong Weishi dropped his backpack and collapsed onto the sofa.

Gu Lizhou said, “It’s not me who needs something; it’s your landlord. She said you’re two months behind on rent.”

“Oh…” Zhong Weishi rubbed his sore eyes and patted his calves. “I’m out of money.”

“Out of money again?” Gu Lizhou put one hand on his waist, pointing at him. “What about the money you make going out early and coming back late every day?”

“I gave it all to my grandma,” Zhong Weishi said.

Gu Lizhou frowned, “Didn’t you say you’re an orphan?! Where did this grandma come from?”

“She’s the grandma from the orphanage who used to take care of me. Her granddaughter called me this afternoon, saying she had a stroke and passed out,” Zhong Weishi explained.

Gu Lizhou froze.

Decades ago, a privately-run orphanage opened in the town of City C. It took in many local children who were born with disabilities or were homeless, and it also helped many find new homes.

Grandma Zhao was originally a rural teacher. After retiring, she worked at the orphanage, helping Director Li care for the children.

Eventually, due to Director Li’s age and lack of energy to raise funds from different places, the orphanage couldn’t continue operating and faced closure.

Zhong Weishi happened to be part of the last batch of children there. He was dark-skinned and scrawny as a child, looking like a sickly little monkey, so no one adopted him, even into his teens.

The older he got, the less people wanted to adopt him, fearing they wouldn’t bond properly.

Not long after the orphanage closed, the director passed away. At that time, only Zhong Weishi and a group of children with disabilities were left in the orphanage. Those children were gradually sent to the city’s orphanage, but Zhong Weishi cried and caused a fuss, refusing to leave, even sneaking out in the middle of the night by climbing over the wall.

After Grandma Zhao called the police and found him, she kept him with her.

Most of the children from the orphanage, as long as they didn’t have mental disabilities, were assigned simple jobs at local small units once they reached adulthood. Those who couldn’t work were supported by the government, but their living conditions were often bleak.

Zhong Weishi was considered one of the lucky ones, as Grandma Zhao had forced him to attend high school for two years.

“She used to tease me back then, saying, ‘You’re so ugly. If you don’t study hard and earn money, no girl will want to be with you.’” Zhong Weishi was picking at a small hole in his pants, making it bigger and bigger as he spoke.

A helpless life, a helpless fate. There were always people living difficult lives in unexpected ways, in unexpected places.

“Why didn’t you keep studying then?” Gu Lizhou asked.

“We were too poor at that time,” Zhong Weishi replied. “Grandma was already old and still had to take odd jobs to make money. She also had a granddaughter who needed to go to school, so I quit and went out to work.”

“I see ah…” Gu Lizhou pursed his lips, feeling it was a pity.

Zhong Weishi was in his second year of high school about six years ago. At that time, Gu Lizhou was busy serializing his last piece <Souls of the Departed> for Star Century.

If he had known earlier that such a place and such people existed, maybe he could have done something to help.

“Grandma and the director were really, really good people, but it’s a shame I haven’t made anything of myself. Grandma must be so disappointed in me.” Zhong Weishi hung his head and sighed. “If I had lots of money, she wouldn’t have to live so hard… and maybe her body wouldn’t have worn out from all the work.”

Gu Lizhou suddenly realized that when people are unhappy, even their hair strands are listless and have lost their former brightness.

The living room light flickered due to a faulty connection, and Zhong Weishi’s voice gradually weakened. There were a few soft sniffling sounds, like he was trying hard to hold back his emotions.

Gu Lizhou guessed that his eyes must be very red now.

He wasn’t quite sure what he was feeling, or what he wanted to do, but by the time he snapped back to reality, his hand was already resting on Zhong Weishi’s head.

This was the first time he had ever touched someone else’s hair, and the texture reminded him of petting a large dog.

Soft… and oddly comforting.

“It’s not your fault,” Gu Lizhou’s voice was soft and gentle. “You still remember Grandma’s kindness, and you went to the hospital to see her as soon as you could. I’m sure that made her very happy.”

Zhong Weishi froze for a moment, and a tear slipped from his eye, landing on his thigh. “Really?”

“Of course.” Gu Lizhou’s tone lifted at the end, making his answer sound particularly sincere.

Zhong Weishi sniffled.

Maybe it was because the other party was older, or maybe because his actions and words were so gentle, but he gave off a sense of reliability, and his words felt reasonable.

That’s right, grandma must be happy.

Before Zhong Weishi had a chance to fully recover from his sadness, the reliable one suddenly said, “Just how ugly were you as a kid ah? Do you have a photo I can see?”

“fvck!” Zhong Weishi angrily threw a pillow at him. “Is that the point here?!”

As Gu Lizhou caught the pillow, he saw that Zhong Weishi was smiling.

Chapter 69

       The corridor fell silent.

Zhan Weiyang was still standing behind the door, not knowing whether to continue listening.

Pei Qing leaned against the wall of the corridor, looking at Pei Jingrong. They hadn’t seen each other for almost half a year, and every time he saw Pei Jingrong, he could feel that he was getting older.

Actually, compared with his peers, Pei Jingrong still looked young. He was tall and handsome, always well-dressed, and his hair was carefully combed. His hair colour was dark and there was no trace of white hair for the time being.

But it was different for Pei Qing. In his impression, Pei Jingrong was still the same as he had seen when he was a child. Now that they had been apart for a long time, every time Pei Qing looked at Pei Jingrong’s face carefully, he would feel that he had changed from what he remembered.

Pei Jingrong was also looking at Pei Qing quietly. After a while, he said, “Your internship is almost over, right?”

       Pei Qing said, “Yes.”

Pei Jingrong said to him, “Your aunt and I have decided to go back on the third day of the New Year. I think you can go back with us.”

“The third day?” Pei Qing repeated these two words softly. It was already New Year’s Eve today, and the third day of the new year was only three days away.

Pei Jingrong said, “What’s the matter? The New Year is almost over, and you still plan to stay at someone else’s home? Aren’t you going back to see Grandpa and Grandma, or meet up with your classmates and friends?”

Pei Qing knew that Pei Jingrong had a point and that he should go back. However, the only reason why he hesitated was because he was a little worried about Zhan Weiyang, who was still taking his medication every day.

At this time, a person suddenly appeared at the stairs. The father and son turned their heads at the same time and saw that it was Zhan Xueqing who had come up.

Zhan Xueqing’s footsteps were very light, and they didn’t hear it. It was only when they saw the person that they suddenly reacted.

       Pei Jingrong greeted softly, “Xueqing.”

Zhan Xueqing called out, “Uncle Pei.”

       Pei Qing didn’t say anything.

Zhan Xueqing stood at the entrance of the stairs and watched them without leaving.

Pei Jingrong probably felt it was inconvenient to continue talking, so he said to Pei Qing, “Think about what I just said again.” After that, he turned around and nodded to Zhan Xueqing, and walked towards the stairs.

After he left, Pei Qing turned around and planned to go back to the room.

Zhan Weiyang was behind the door and clearly heard him touch the door handle. He jumped back to the bed like a rabbit and pretended to sleep.

But Pei Qing did not open the door and came in immediately. Zhan Xueqing called him from outside.

Zhan Xueqing said, “My mmm just asked me to go back with them after the New Year.”

Pei Qing was silent for a while and asked, “Are you going back?”

Zhan Xueqing was a little surprised and said, “I thought you wouldn’t care about me. Of course I will go back. Why should I still stay here?”

Pei Qing nodded and said, “You should go back to accompany Auntie.”

“Hey!” Zhan Xueqing called him, “Then are you going back?”

Pei Qing said, “Let me think about it.”

Zhan Xueqing said to him, “You don’t need to avoid me. It’s not like I’m going to do anything to you.”

Pei Qing glanced in the direction of the door. He didn’t know if Zhan Weiyang was asleep because of the door, but he guessed that Zhan Weiyang was asleep. Then he turned to look at Zhan Xueqing and said, “You misunderstood.”

       Zhan Xueqing was stunned, “What?”

Pei Qing said, “I’m not avoiding you.”

Zhan Xueqing looked at him and suddenly laughed, saying, “Pei Qing, do you dare to repeat what you just said?”

Pei Qing said, “It’s true that I came over here for my internship to avoid meeting you, but I’m not avoiding you now.”

Zhan Xueqing and Pei Qing originally studied in the same city where they lived. During their studies, they lived on campus and went home on weekends.

Zhan Xueqing said to Pei Qing, “So you just simply hate me?”

Pei Qing said, “I don’t hate you. You are my sister; why would I hate you?” In reality, Pei Qing didn’t mean those words entirely sincerely. He made an effort to treat Zhan Xueqing like a sister in their interactions, but they were never biological siblings. By the time they met, they were no longer children. Unlike Zhan Weiguang and the others, Zhan Xueqing was a girl, so Pei Qing was always mindful of how he interacted with her. Their relationship never reached the level of genuine sibling affection.

Zhan Xueqing said, “Okay, we are siblings. I want to know, is it because of this that you said that it is absolutely impossible for you and me?” This was what Zhan Xueqing wanted to ask Pei Qing from the beginning. As soon as her school was on vacation, she dragged her suitcase over here directly just to ask this question in person. Unfortunately, Pei Qing never gave her a chance, and she always felt this blockage in her heart.

Pei Qing looked at her at this time and answered seriously, “No.”

       Zhan Xueqing looked at him.

Pei Qing said again, “It’s really not, but I can’t to you.”

Zhan Xueqing bit her lip as if trying to control her emotions, “Is it that I’m the problem? Then it means you could have it with someone else”

       Pei Qing said, “Yes.”

Zhan Xueqing stubbornly asked him, “What’s wrong with me? Can you tell me so that I can give up?”

Pei Qing whispered, “Do you really want to know?”

       Zhan Xueqing nodded.

Pei Qing’s expression grew more serious. He didn’t want Zhan Xueqing to think he was just making a dismissive joke. In a subdued tone, he said, “You are a girl.”

Zhan Xueqing was stunned. She had made some guesses before, but she didn’t want to accept this guess from the bottom of her heart. She repeatedly told herself that she was thinking too much, so when she heard Pei Qing’s words, she still didn’t react for a while and said, “Say it again?”

Pei Qing approached her, stopped in front of her, bent down slightly, and whispered, “I don’t like girls. Any girl is not okay with me.”

Zhan Xueqing looked at him, her eyes glaring a little harder.

Pei Qing stood up and patted her shoulder gently, “So you should be my sister.”

He and Zhan Xueqing had been entangled for a long time. From the beginning, Pei Qing directly rejected Zhan Xueqing, but he said it very tactfully, just not wanting to expose his sexual orientation in front of Zhan Xueqing.

Until this moment today, Pei Qing suddenly felt that it didn’t matter.

He recalled the conversation with Pei Jingrong just now. He thought that he would always leave this home and start his own life. He knew that he had not liked girls since adolescence. From the initial suspicion to the later acceptance, since he had made up his mind what kind of path he would take in the future, there was no need to hide it now.

Zhan Xueqing didn’t come back to his senses for a long time until she saw Pei Qing turning around to leave and couldn’t help but say, “Aren’t you afraid that I will tell Uncle Pei?”

Pei Qing said, “It’s okay. You can do whatever you want.”

His father was getting older, and although his shoulders were still broad, the weight he could bear was getting lighter and lighter. He had grown up, and he needed to bear his own weight.

He began to become confident and began to be able to decide his own life.

After saying this, Pei Qing opened the door and went back to the room.

Zhan Weiyang lay on the bed, the quilt was pulled up to cover half of his face, and his breathing was even. He was indeed asleep.

Pei Qing walked to the bed, bent down and kissed Zhan Weiyang’s soft lips.

Chapter 91 – Untie the knot

Chapter 91 (Extra 13)

  *Smack.*

Bian Rang turned around, his palm striking Jiuying’s face hard.

Jiuying covered half of his face in astonishment, staring blankly at Bian Rang.

Bian Rang’s eyes were no longer as clear and lost as when he had just been reborn; they now carried a coldness, as deep and lonely as an abyss.

  He must have remembered something.

The corner of Jiuying’s mouth twitched, his voice unconsciously lowering: “Bian Rang.”

Bian Rang ignored him, turning away to continue looking at Xie Li. Xie Li, startled by the slap just now, still had wild berries in his mouth, swallowing nervously while looking timidly at Bian Rang.

This handsome older brother was quite fierce!

He was most afraid of people like this.

Unexpectedly, when Bian Rang turned around, his face suddenly lit up with a gentle smile like a spring breeze, his eyes and brows filled with tenderness. He bent down and patted Xie Li’s head: “What’s your name?”

  ”Xie Li.”

This big brother changes his expression so quickly.

Xie Li couldn’t help muttering to himself, swallowing unconsciously, a piece of unchewed wild berry stuck in his throat, making his face turn red from being choked.

He pinched his throat trying to cough out the fruit, but couldn’t.

Bian Rang quickly reached out to help him relax, patting his back: “What’s wrong? Is it stuck?”

”Mm-hmm.” Xie Li’s eyes were red from choking, his chubby face turning even redder as he dry heaved, unable to vomit.

Seeing Xie Li in discomfort, Bian Rang’s heart tightened: “Xiao Li, let me hold you upside down, see if it helps you vomit it out.” In his urgency, he forgot his own magic skills and just wanted to help Xie Li by traditional means.

Fortunately, Jiuying hadn’t lost his composure. He stepped forward: “Let me.” He placed his hand on Xie Li’s throat and used magic to soften the stuck fruit.

Xie Li immediately stopped coughing, gently breathing out, softly thanking Jiuying: “Thank you, Big Snake.”

  Jiuying’s face blushed slightly.

Bian Rang glanced at Jiuying, then refocused on Xie Li’s face, overflowing with affection in his eyes.

Upon closer inspection, Xie Li bore a resemblance to himself by about five or six points. Especially his mouth, which had a thin crescent-shaped curve, almost identical to his own.

Bian Rang bent down, his gaze level with Xie Li’s: “Would you like some water?”

  Xie Li shook his head.

Bian Rang reached out to touch Xie Li’s brows and cheeks, murmuring softly: “Xiao Li, how have you been in the Demon Realm?”

Xie Li nodded: “I’ve been well. His Majesty treats me well, and so does Senior Brother.”

The Big Snake asked him the same question last time.

  It’s really strange.

Why does everyone keep asking him if he’s doing well?

Bian Rang pursed his lips, intending to ask Xie Li if he wanted to leave with him, when suddenly, Quze’s voice echoed from afar.

  ”Ah Li.”

Xie Li hurriedly skipped over to Quze. Quze’s face was tense; the young boy’s figure was as tall and slender as an adult’s, with clearly defined knuckles tapping on Xie Li’s shoulder.

He nodded towards Jiuying and Bian Rang: “It’s time for school. I’ll take Xie Li to the academy.”

”School?” Bian Rang exclaimed in surprise.

”Yes, His Majesty established an academy. Before turning nine hundred, all demons in the Demon Realm must attend to study and practice.” Thus, after Quze escorted Xie Li to the academy, he would go practice alone.

After adulthood, his studies diverged from Xie Li’s, focusing mainly on spellcasting. Before adulthood, children like Xie Li mainly learned literacy and the laws of the six realms and five elements.

Bian Rang was speechless upon hearing this.

Nine hundred years… Demons actually have to study for nine hundred years?

No wonder he felt something was amiss when he came to the Demon Realm.

In his memory, the Demon Realm was rampant with monsters, constant wars, and everywhere was filled with blood and corpses. But now, the Demon Realm exuded a sense of peace and prosperity everywhere…

”Goodbye.” Holding Quze’s hand, Xie Li waved at Jiuying and Bian Rang.

Bian Rang silently watched Xie Li’s departing figure, hesitated for a moment, held his breath, concealed his figure, and followed behind Xie Li.

He wanted to see how Xie Li was living in the Demon Realm.

Jiuying also concealed himself and followed behind Bian Rang. Since realizing Bian Rang had regained his memories, Jiuying had been minimizing his presence, silently guarding Bian Rang. In his hand, a colorful paper umbrella appeared, shading Bian Rang from the sunlight.

He remembered how he used to fear the sun.

Because the sun could make people ugly.

“Shixiong, who are they?” Xie Li curiously asked Quze.

Quze glanced ahead. “They are His Majesty’s friends.”

“Ah, His Majesty’s friends? So, if they come to see me, do they want to be friends with me too?” Xie Li exclaimed in surprise, opening his mouth wide to reveal a small cavity in his teeth.

Quze didn’t respond, but his brow furrowed slightly, his expression tinged with unease. Xie Li spoke several times without hearing Quze reply, so he couldn’t help but shake Quze’s arm and coquettishly plead, “Shixiong, why aren’t you speaking?”

“Shixiong is here,” Quze reluctantly responded. At the academy, he instructed him, “Behave and listen to the teacher today. Shixiong will come to fetch you after his cultivation.”

Pouting, Xie Li noticed that Shixiong seemed distracted just now and realized he might not be happy, so he said, “Shixiong, come down.”

Without asking why, Quze bent down.

Xie Li approached, pinched Quze’s cheeks, and rubbed them on both sides. “Shixiong, if you don’t want them to be my friends, I won’t see them again.”

Quze’s usually expressionless face softened slightly as Xie Li squeezed and flattened his cheeks, his eyes showing a hint of helplessness and indulgence. He also pinched Xie Li’s cheek, “What nonsense are you saying? Go study.”

“Okay!” Xie Li chuckled and turned away, not forgetting to mutter as he ran, “Shixiong, remember to come pick me up quickly tonight.”

“Mm.” Quze stood up, a smile playing at his lips under the warm sunlight.

Bian Rang glanced at Quze, his figure flickering, and followed Xie Li into the academy.

Once inside, Bian Rang’s expression darkened slightly.

He had expected the little devils in the academy to be as delicate and cute as his own son, noble and elegant. However, these little devils were oddly shaped, crooked-mouthed, emitting a unique demonic aura.

To Bian Rang, it was akin to poison.

Meanwhile, Xie Li was enjoying himself. Before the teacher arrived, he rode on the back of an elephant demon, played tag, plucked a few whiskers from a goat-like creature, and frightened several chicken spirits into a chaotic run, disrupting the peace of the entire academy.

After having his fill of fun, he pretended to sit properly on a small stool, waiting for the teacher.

“…” Bian Rang sighed inwardly.

Beside him, Jiuying tilted his paper umbrella towards Bian Rang, blocking all sunlight from above. Annoyed, he said, “Children are always so mischievous.”

Bian Rang still ignored Jiuying, sitting at a corner of the small stool, observing Xie Li reading his book.

It was an ancient legend with annotations.

As Xie Li flipped through the pages, he suddenly stopped. Bian Rang lowered his eyes and saw that the annotation told the story of Jiuying assassinating a tyrant, accompanied by an illustration.

The drawing depicted a nine-headed serpent revealing its true form, wielding a long halberd to kill the tyrant Bian Rang.

While the world knew this story, it didn’t capture the exact details, hence the discrepancy in the illustration.

Xie Li stared at the drawing, his face becoming serious.

Bian Rang glanced at Xie Li, even noticing the tiny soft hairs on his face, feeling a surge of indescribable affection and tenderness. He thought Xie Li had realized something, but then heard him mutter, “The big snake is quite powerful.”

Xie Li turned the page and continued reading other stories.

*

In the afternoon, Quze arrived promptly to fetch Xie Li. Xie Li shared what he had learned with Quze, who occasionally nodded or quizzed him.

Though young, Xie Li had a good memory. Each correct answer prompted him to bounce around Quze, pestering him for candies.

Quze just smiled and shook his head.

When Bian Rang initially planned to take Xie Li away, he wanted to keep Xie Li by his side. After observing for a day, he changed his mind. The figures of one large and one small, under the sunset’s glow, gradually disappeared into Zhuyun Peak.

He couldn’t bear to disturb Xie Li’s peace and happiness.

Living together with him wouldn’t be as good as letting him stay with his senior brother, who lost his arm.

“Junli, thank you.”

He thanked him for taking care of his child so well. Without Fanyu and Junli, Xie Li would have ceased to exist long ago. Such a weak spirit fetus, not even full-term, unable to survive without feeding on the blood of the heart.

Fanyu and Junli nurtured him for a hundred thousand years before he survived.

Thinking of this, Bian Rang looked up at the vast sky.

This should be the happiest and most worthwhile thing since his resurrection.

Otherwise, even if he was resurrected, he wouldn’t be able to accept Jiuying without the child.

Jiuying stood by his side and whispered, “Do we still need to continue following Little Li?”

Bian Rang withdrew his gaze, glanced at Jiuying, said nothing, and his figure turned into a swift white arrow disappearing into the distance. Jiuying saw this and folded his paper umbrella, also transforming into an arrow, closely following behind Bian Rang.

Bian Rang returned to Sanxu Mountain, soaking in the hot spring pool. His fair face was surrounded by wisps of mist, his deep black eyes occasionally visible.

He remained motionless, resembling a sculpture in the water.

Jiuying came several times, sometimes bringing fresh clothes, sometimes bringing spices, sometimes a pot of jade wine and a plate of fruit pills, saying he had been soaking too long and needed to replenish his strength.

Bian Rang didn’t expect Jiuying to become so considerate and gentle. After delivering the items, Jiuying stood at the entrance of the cave quietly without leaving.

When Bian Rang stood up from the water, Jiuying hurried forward, finding a towel to help him dry his body.

He glanced sideways at Jiuying and saw Jiuying lowering his head, cheeks blushing.

After carefully wiping him dry, Jiuying brought him a small garment and inner clothes, intending to help him dress.

He finally couldn’t bear it and spoke up, “There’s really no need for you to do this.”

“Bian Rang…” Jiuying raised his head, murmuring as he looked at him.

The deep affection in his eyes seemed to flow like water.

Bian Rang couldn’t help but avoid his gaze. “When I slapped you before, it was for the child’s sake. You don’t owe me anything; you just owe it to the child.”

“No, I also owe you.” Jiuying couldn’t help but clench the clothes in his hands. Whenever he recalled that scene from years ago, he regretted it bitterly. He killed the only person in this world who truly loved him.

At that time, he only felt like a cruel tyrant, but he didn’t realize he was also his moonlight, the love of his life.

“In fact, even if you didn’t kill me, I would have perished sooner or later.”

Since he brought Jiuying back to the Ninth Heaven, he had already prepared himself to be killed by Jiuying, but he didn’t expect to have Xie Li.

Jiuying gathered his courage, reached out slowly, and embraced Bian Rang. “But… you should blame me.”

He didn’t blame him; instead, he felt uncomfortable inside.

Bian Rang didn’t push him away, his eyes silently gazing at him.

Jiuying didn’t know when his eyes turned red, tears accumulating. Clearly, for tens of thousands of years, ever since he became conscious in the Extreme Sound Eight Trigram Array, he had been shedding tears, tears that had run dry.

But why could he still shed tears after meeting Bian Rang?

Tears dripped from the corners of his eyes.

Crystal-clear teardrops reflected Bian Rang’s face.

Bian Rang reached out and gently brushed away the tears from Jiuying’s eyes, as if in that instant, the chasm in his heart was also swept away.

One hundred thousand years.

Round and round, so many years had passed.

They were never meant to meet, to love each other, yet they still met and loved during the final stretch of his life.

Bian Rang had never regretted it. Every moment with Jiuying helped him finally understand the meaning of living in his long life.

Having something to hold onto, someone to love.

Apart from the scar that would never fade away, he also gained a love that was etched into his heart like a blazing fire.

Bian Rang’s eyes reddened too. He slightly parted his lips and murmured Jiuying’s name, “Jiuying.” They had missed each other for a hundred thousand years. During these years, he dissipated across the Six Realms while Jiuying was suppressed by the formation, suffering and regretting daily, enduring endless pain.

He suffered more than him.

That’s why he couldn’t bear to blame him anymore.

Bian Rang held Jiuying by the neck and gently kissed the corner of Jiuying’s lips.

Jiuying’s eyes widened instantly, his breath caught, and only the sound of his own frantic heartbeat echoed in his ears.

Bian Rang… Bian Rang had actually kissed him first!

He wanted to continue feeling that kiss, but Bian Rang had already withdrawn from his lips.

Feeling unsatisfied, he instinctively hugged Bian Rang, like a wild beast gone mad, fiercely pulling Bian Rang into his embrace. One hand encircled Bian Rang’s waist, the other firmly gripped the back of his neck, asserting dominance with a strong and forceful kiss that covered Bian Rang’s face.

“Bian Rang!”

Chapter 20 – Expert Excavator Operator

Gu Lizhou didn’t have ordinary hopes about finding a new job, because he didn’t know when he would leave Yucheng. If he liked it, he’d stay, and if not, he’d just move somewhere else for a while.

That’s how he’s been living for the past few years.

Zhong Weishi, on the other hand, seemed to think he had become delusional from being a gigolo. He went to great lengths to search for new socialist pathways for him, even personally registering an account for him on a website and filling out a resume.

The net was cast.

Gu Lizhou was woken up early in the morning by one unfamiliar phone call after another.

“Hello, is this Mr. Gu? I saw the resume you submitted to our company on XX Website. Are you available for an interview this afternoon?”

“What?”

“The resume you submitted to us for the job of Fruit Assembler.”

“…You’ve got the wrong number.”

“Hello, I’m from the ‘Energetic Seniors Health Association ah.’”

“No need.”

Just as Gu Lizhou was about to hang up, the person on the other side hurriedly called out, “Wait, you applied for our Sales and Customer Service position, right? Are you free to come for an interview? This job is simple, really, but it does require some hard work. You can hand out flyers, right?”

“…Sorry, I already found a job.”

The most bewildering call came from a man: “Hey, is this Gu Lizhou? I just saw your resume. Can you drive a forklift?”

“A what?”

“Forklift ah. We’re hiring forklift operators, preferably skilled old drivers. If you’re good at operating an excavator, you should be able to handle a forklift too, right? Do you have a license?”

“…” At this, Gu Lizhou was fully awake.

He vaguely recalled the voice call he’d received just before falling asleep.

“Hey, rich guy, there’s a verification code on your phone. Send it to me. I’m registering an account for you on XX website.”

“I’m helping you find a job ah! What else would I be doing? By the way, what’s your education level ah? What’s your major?”

“If you don’t tell me, I’ll just fill in the blanks randomly ah…”

When Gu Lizhou opened his computer and logged in to check the back-end, he was so furious that he saw stars and felt blood rushing from his seven orifices. He fainted on the spot.

Name: Gu Lizhou

Gender: Male

Age: 32

Graduated from: Lanxiang Technical

Special skills: Good-looking, with especially long legs.

Expertise: Expert Excavator Operator

Introduction: I have a lively and cheerful personality, and I’m always willing to help others. Although my work experience is a bit lacking, I can especially endure hardships! I really can endure! Plus, I have great luck—I’ve won countless “win another bottle” prizes since childhood, so I believe my good fortune is contagious. I sincerely ask your esteemed company to give me a chance to contribute to society! I promise to work diligently!

In the Film and Television Studio dozens of kilometers away, Zhong Weishi suddenly sneezed several huge times, almost suffocating.

He thought someone must be thinking about him.

Gu Lizhou gritted his teeth and sent a message to the bear child1Brat, naughty child: When are you coming back?

[Lunatic]: Give me another half an hour. I still have a few new sets to shoot.

There was a photo attached below the message, showing several pairs of underwear in different colors, styles, and patterns laid out on the floor.

[Lunatic]: The boss said I could bring a few pairs. Do you want some? You can pick, and I’ll bring them back for you.

Gu Lizhou’s little morning grumpiness had mostly worn off by now.

Zhong Weishi was truly a fascinating person. He always managed to do something unexpected at the most random times.

Honestly, his first impression of Zhong Weishi wasn’t good.

Back at Qingfeng Garden, the boy’s impulsiveness and recklessness left him feeling confused and speechless, even a little disgusted. But after spending some time together, he realized that Zhong Weishi lived a very simple life.

If you’re his friend, he’ll go all out to help you in any way he can.

Like with this whole job search thing—Zhong Weishi perfectly illustrated the phrase, “The emperor isn’t anxious, but the eunuch is.” Though the process was a bit stupid, the intention was good.

He still vaguely recalled one afternoon when Zhong Weishi sent him several voice messages in a row.

“Hey, did you know? Da Fei is now doing crossdressing live broadcasting, just that kind of, it’s really popular now, dressing up in women’s clothes to sing and dance. I’ll send you the room number. We’re all brothers here, so make sure to drop by, brush some comments, and cheer him on.”

“Ah yes, don’t expose your identity when you go.”

“I’m telling you, Da Fei’s dancing is really energetic. You’ll definitely be blown away by his looks today.”

“Rich guy! Did you hear me ah? This is your chance to show off your rich and powerful charm ah! It’s Da Fei’s first time, we’ve got to give him some applause!”

[Lunatic]: So, what do you think? Any you like? This fabric is really good quality, and the best part is it doesn’t fade!

Wait, so all the underwear he bought before faded?!

Gu Lizhou lazily replied with a voice message: “I want solid colors.”

[Lunatic]: What lip2Lip and solid sounded the same. color? We’ve got black, red, white, gray—all kinds of colors here, but no lip color. Are you asking for dark red? That’s such a sultry color? Doesn’t really match your vibe…

[Useless Yet Awake]: …Solid colors, no patterns.

[Lunatic]: Oh.

The constant barrage of recruitment calls continued. Frustrated, Gu Lizhou simply pulled out his SIM card. As he was contemplating how to deal with that bear child tonight, there was a knock at the door.

He thought it was Cao Zhiheng forgetting his keys, but when he opened the door, it was actually a very pretty girl with chestnut-colored, wavy hair and a faint scent of perfume came to his nose.

The girl didn’t seem surprised to see him, “Gu Lizhou, right? Hello ah.”

Gu Lizhou nodded and took a couple of seconds to process: “Ah, you’re Old Cao’s girlfriend, right?”

“Yes ya! My surname is Meng, Meng Jingshi. I’m not sure if he’s mentioned me before.”

“Oh, I know.” Gu Lizhou quickly invited her in. “He’s mentioned you a few times. I’ve even seen your pictures together in his Moments. It’s just that your hairstyle looks a bit different from the photos and in person, so I didn’t recognize you right away.”

“I just had my hair done yesterday,” Meng Jingshi smiled. “My company is off today, so I came over to see him and cook dinner on the way. I bought some shrimp and steak. How about pasta and steak for dinner?”

Gu Lizhou didn’t want to be the light bulb,3Third wheel so he politely declined: “Nah, you two go ahead. No need to include me.”

“How can that be? Zhiheng specifically told me on the phone that we’d be having dinner together. I bought enough for three people, so you should join us.”

Understanding that Old Cao wanted to show off his girlfriend, Gu Lizhou didn’t refuse further.

Cao Zhiheng had gone out of town to buy materials and said he’d be home a bit late. With Meng Jingshi busy in the kitchen, Gu Lizhou felt somewhat uneasy.

He thought about going to the kitchen to help, but as soon as he stepped in, she kicked him out. Trying to settle into his usual spot on the couch to watch TV made him feel oddly guilty.

Living in someone else’s home and even having their girlfriend make dinner for you…

Gu Lizhou, are you even human!

With a quick flip, he leaped up and dashed into the kitchen. “Let me cook. Should I start by washing the rice?”

“Uh yeah. Have you never cooked before?” Meng Jingshi seemed a bit surprised.

“Ah,” Gu Lizhou stirred the rice a bit with his hand, “I hired a maid at home.”

“I heard from Old Cao that you used to be a big-time writer ah?” Meng Jingshi glanced back at him.

Most people around Gu Lizhou knew he wrote books, but to avoid disrupting his daily life, very few knew his pen name. It had been so long since he’d heard the term “big-time writer” in the real world that he felt a bit embarrassed.

“It was just okay, just scribbling.”

Meng Jingshi smiled and asked, “What’s your pen name? He wouldn’t even tell me, said I should ask you myself.”

Gu Lizhou licked his lips, “It’s not really anything special. Girls probably wouldn’t be too interested in that kind of material.”

“I heard from him that you stopped writing because your health wasn’t too good ah?”

“Yeah, partly because of health, but mostly it was more about my mindset. If you turn a hobby into a career, it feels different. Once something involves money and profits, it’s never pure anymore.” Gu Lizhou glanced at her. “Do you get what I mean?”

“Of course I do,” Meng Jingshi nodded with a smile. “People’s passion always gets worn down gradually, but losing passion doesn’t mean you stop liking it. No matter what industry you’re in, after a few years of doing it, reality will shape you into someone else. But as long as you stay true to yourself, an unpolished jade only becomes a beautiful jade—it never turns back into a stone.”

“You speak like a psychiatrist.” Gu Lizhou laughed.

“Huh? Really? Am I hard to communicate with?”

“Extraordinarily good at communicating.”

Meng Jingshi smiled, revealing two small dimples.

She had heard from Cao Zhiheng before that Gu Lizhou suffered from moderate depression. When she first walked in, she was worried that it might be difficult to communicate with him, but it seemed she had overthought it.

People with depression didn’t appear much different from others and were actually quite easy to talk to.

Meng Jingshi didn’t press further about his writing. Instead, it was Gu Lizhou who started chatting with her about Cao Zhiheng’s embarrassing childhood stories. She couldn’t stop giggling, covering her mouth as the awkwardness between strangers gradually faded.

When Cao Zhiheng arrived home, dinner was just on the table.

“You’re cutting it pretty close ah you?” Gu Lizhou brought out a fruit salad from the kitchen.

“Yo,” Cao Zhiheng’s first glance upon entering landed on the plate of fruit, “So ugly. Must’ve been cut by you, right?”

“I cut it.” A faint voice drifted out from the kitchen.

Cao Zhiheng immediately raised his voice, “I was just saying how artistic it is! These are little rabbit shapes? Very abstract—Mm, it tastes so sweet!”

Men in love are scary.

Gu Lizhou threw down, “Shameless.”

However, what he didn’t expect was that even more shamelessness was yet to come.

At first, dinner was normal. It was a square table, with Cao Zhiheng and Meng Jingshi sitting across from each other, while Gu Lizhou sat diagonally.

As he ate, he suddenly felt a gust of wind at his feet.

Without making a fuss, he tossed a bone onto the floor and bent down to pick it up, only to see four legs tangled together.

After being discovered by him, the two of them didn’t bother hiding it anymore. They exchanged drinks and fed each other like two sweethearts straight out of a pure love drama.

Cao Zhiheng’s mouth seemed like it had been soaked in honey. It was as if he wasn’t the same guy who normally talked about pee and shit.

No, it was as if it wasn’t a person!

“How can you eat so little—You’re not fat at all, really, not even a bit. If you were even the slightest bit chubbier, I could love you just a little bit more.”

“Leave it! If you do everything, then what am I here for?”

“When you’re around, even the watermelon tastes sweeter.”

Gu Lizhou had seen plenty of wild things in his life, but scenes like this were truly a first for him. Sitting at the dinner table, he was nauseated, rolling his eyes as goosebumps covered his arms.

If you were to ask him what he regretted more than that time he stayed to watch square dancing with Zhong Weishi and his group, it would be staying behind as a light bulb tonight.

He vaguely remembered back in their freshman year, when Cao Zhiheng once stood at the edge of a cliff at a tourist spot, shouting, “What’s so great about those stupid women? I’ll stay single forever!”

But now that he was in a relationship, his flirting was next level: “Jing, your lip color is so pretty today. Can I have a taste?”

Meng Jing Shi smiled bashfully.

Gu Lizhou dry-heaved and got up, heading for the door. “Forgive me, I need to step out and throw up for a while.”

Cao Zhiheng called out, “It’s late, where are you going ah? You’re not bothering us by staying.”

But you guys are affecting me ah!

Gu Lizhou hissed inwardly.

Instead of staying here and chewing on dog food,4Watch the couples be lovey-dovey it would be better to watch Zhong Weishi’s yo-yo performance.

Chapter 40 – My observation diary after drinking

Chapter 40 – My observation diary after drinking

Facing Li Chisu’s amorous intentions, Zhao Qi remained completely unaffected, even finding it somewhat amusing.

”It seems like King Zhaonan’s eyesight isn’t very good,” Zhao Qi said with mock concern, “with so many people following behind me, you still can’t see. Should I summon the imperial physician to check on you?”

Li Chisu, not offended by the teasing, smiled and replied, “That won’t be necessary. My condition, I fear, only Your Majesty can cure.”

Zhao Qi turned his head aside and let out a fake retch into the air. Seeing this, Jiayan asked, “Is Your Majesty feeling unwell?”

”Mm, I’m a bit nauseous,” Zhao Qi joked, “Jiayan, you should return to Xuchun Garden. I won’t accompany you.”

Jiayan glanced swiftly at Li Chisu and said reluctantly, “Yes.”

Li Chisu smiled and said, “Princess, take care.”

Li Chisu watched Jiayan leave. Zhao Qi glanced at him sideways and asked, “Do you think Princess Jiayan is attractive?”

”The princess is elegant and beautiful, a rare beauty indeed.”

Zhao Qi snorted, “Too bad, it’s too late.”

Li Chisu replied, “Please decree, Your Majesty.”

Zhao Qi gloated, “I suddenly find Princess Jiayan quite adorable. I can’t bear to see her marry so far away to Nanzhou, so I’ve decided not to betroth her to you.”

”Haha, didn’t expect that, did you? Back then you were indifferent, now you can’t reach, and I won’t even give you a chance to pursue her to the grave!”

Li Chisu suppressed a laugh and said regretfully, “What should I do then? I did mention last time, returning to Nanzhou from the capital this time, I must bring back a consort.”

”That’s too bad, but it’s none of my concern.”

”I think, without the princess, having a county princess wouldn’t be bad either.”

Zhao Qi’s eyelids twitched, “How are you still thinking about…” Zhao Qi quickly swallowed the word “I” back, “thinking about the county princess!”

Li Chisu was utterly surprised, “How did Your Majesty find out about this?”

“Oops,” he slipped up. But experience told him not to panic in such situations; the more flustered he got, the more likely he’d reveal his hand. Gathering himself, he said, “It’s what my cousin Zhao Qiao mentioned.”

Li Chisu responded with an “Oh,” nodding, “I’ve heard that Your Majesty and Lord Zhao Qiao have a deep brotherly bond. Surely Lord Zhao Qiao wouldn’t keep anything from Your Majesty.”

Zhao Qi couldn’t relax his guard. “That’s right.”

Li Chisu smiled leisurely. “In that case, Lord Zhao Qiao must have already informed Your Majesty that I deeply cherish Lady Zhao and have no regrets. I will marry no one else in this life.”

Zhao Qi roared inwardly: Brother, no, Uncle, can I call you Uncle? Please, pursue someone else and let the little mute girl be beautiful on her own.

Seeing Zhao Qi’s speechless expression, Li Chisu’s eyes twinkled with more amusement. “Your Majesty, do you think Lady Zhao and I make a good match?”

Zhao Qi forced a smile, “Lady Zhao is of lowly birth and suffers from a speech impediment. Perhaps she is not suitable for Your Highness.”

Li Chisu replied, “It doesn’t matter. I do not mind.”

But I mind you!

“On this visit to the palace, I wish to request a decree from Your Majesty to marry Lady Zhao. Oh, and by the way, the Ninth Prince and Princess have already agreed to this. I could have gone directly to their residence to propose, but knowing Your Majesty and the Empress Dowager have always been concerned about my marriage, I wanted Lady Zhao to have a grand wedding, so I requested Your Majesty’s blessing.”

Zhao Qi almost choked, “I do not consent. Zhao Qiao said Lady Zhao has no interest in you; I do not force anyone.”

Li Chisu smiled faintly, “But, Your Majesty, Lady Zhao and I have already had intimate…”

Zhao Qi exploded on the spot, “Both of you shut up!”

Li Chisu paused, “Both of us?”

“Do you have to marry her just because you have been intimate? Then Jiang Dehai has seen every inch of me; should I appoint him as Consort Jiang?”

Innocently hit, Jiang Dehai was greatly shocked. “Y-Your Majesty…”

Li Chisu finally couldn’t hold it in and burst into laughter, uncontrollable laughter. “Your Majesty, you’re truly… Hahaha.”

Zhao Qi’s gaze was like he was looking at a fool, “Prince Zhaonan, be careful not to laugh your head off.”

Li Chisu looked at him with a smile, “Your Majesty is so likable that I can’t bear to return to Nanzhou.”

Zhao Qi felt that if he said one more word to Li Chisu, there would be a sudden heart attack risk. True love of life, away from slag men. “I am going to deal with government affairs now. Prince Zhaonan.”

“What else is there?” asked Zhao Qi.

“I have something, I want to give it to Your Majesty.”

Zhao Qixi suspiciously asked, “What?”

Li Chisu took out a delicately small cork box, “Your Majesty.”

Zhao Qi took the cork box and opened it, “What’s this strange thing, it’s so ugly.”

It was a jade sculpture of a four-legged beast, with a crooked well cover on its back. Jiang Dehai approached and looked, “Your Majesty, this seems to be a turtle?”

“A turtle?” Zhao Qi angrily said, “Li Chisu, what do you mean by this?”

Li Chisu smiled, “This was painted by Miss Zhao for me. I had skilled craftsmen create this jade according to her painting.”

Zhao Qi held it like a hot potato, “Then… why are you giving it to me?”

“What does Your Majesty think?”

Zhao Qi: “…” Why does he feel so chilly all of a sudden? Where’s his padded vest? He wore such a thick layer of padded vest!

Li Chisu took a step forward, “Please tell Miss Zhao that I sincerely admire her, not seeking longevity, but seeking every sunrise and sunset.”

Zhao Qi met his eyes that seemed to contain autumn water, calmly saying, “Just talk, don’t come so close.”

Li Chisu chuckled softly, “I take my leave.”

Zhao Qi watched Li Chisu’s departing figure, then looked down at the four-legged beast in his hand, unsure what Li Chisu was up to. Had he truly seen through the identity of the mute girl, or was he just playing mysterious?

In the Government Hall of Diligence, Zhao Qi was still thinking about Li Chisu. Xiao Shiqing immediately noticed his distraction and asked, “What are you thinking about?”

Zhao Qi said, “Brother, if someone said to you, ‘not seeking longevity, but seeking every sunrise and sunset,’ what would it mean?”

Xiao Shiqing’s gaze sharpened.

“Not to me,” Zhao Qi added, “He asked me to pass it on to a girl.”

Xiao Shiqing indifferently said, “It means he doesn’t want to grow old with someone, just wants to enjoy the fleeting moments.”

“Fleeting moments?” No wonder it’s Li Chisu; even hooking up, he could make it sound so poetic. Ugh—

“The decline of morals these days, Brother, look at the men now, none of them think of proper marriage, talking about fleeting moments, and the brothels in the capital are spreading like wildfire! It’s simply disgraceful!”

Xiao Shiqing lightly coughed, “Even if it’s just fleeting moments, as long as it’s consensual, it’s not as bad as you say.”

Zhao Qi was still upset, not paying attention to Xiao Shiqing’s words, “Moreover, the trend of men being eunuchs is prevalent in the capital, causing other cities to follow suit. This is not a good thing at all! Brother, as the current prime minister, you must set an example and establish a standard for the officials.”

Xiao Shiqing fell silent for a moment, “Is this not an important matter?”

“Isn’t this an important matter?” Zhao Qi said, “Every word I just said concerns the livelihood of the people…”

Xiao Shiqing interrupted him, “What about Princess Jiayan?”

Zhao Qi recounted Jiayan’s words to Xiao Shiqing verbatim. Xiao Shiqing pondered for a moment and said, “Hangover tea.”

“Huh?”

“Princess Jiayan did not give the hangover tea to Prince Huai, did he ask for it from another palace maid or eunuch?”

Zhao Qi shook his head, saying, “I don’t know.”

Xiao Shiqing instructed the attendant beside him, “Immediately send someone to investigate.”

Zhao Qi asked, “Brother, do you suspect Zhao Tong?”

“Feng Guilu must be consumed for the poison to take effect, and the Prince of Western Xia was poisoned only in the Imperial Garden.”

Zhao Qi was puzzled, “But the Wake-up Tea was for Huai Wang and Rong Tang. What does it have to do with the Prince of Western Xia?”

“I’m afraid we’ll need to ask Rong Tang about this.”

“In that case—”

“I’ll have Chen Li ask about it.”

Zhao Qi shrugged, “Alright. There’s another thing—Brother, did Huai Wang visit you at the mansion after entering the capital?”

Xiao Shiqing paused, “He sent a greeting card.”

“So you’ve met privately?” Zhao Qi’s mood became complicated. In the original story, Zhao Tong had preemptively improved his relationship with Xiao Shiqing under the moonlight, laying the groundwork for future changes.

“I can’t control who Xiao Shiqing meets in the mansion, but thinking that he might have talked and laughed with Zhao Tong as in the original, Zhao Qi felt a sense of betrayal.

Xiao Shiqing said, “I’ve almost been staying in the palace these days and don’t have time to meet Huai Wang privately.”

“Really?” Zhao Qi said happily, “That’s good.”

Xiao Shiqing looked interested, “It seems the Emperor doesn’t want me and Huai Wang to get too close.”

“Yes, I’m afraid Huai Wang will kidnap Brother.”

Xiao Shiqing smiled, “Don’t worry, he won’t. But I do plan to meet Zhao Tong alone soon, to test his true intentions.”

Zhao Qi nodded, “Brother, go ahead.”

“Just now you asked me to keep my distance from him.”

Zhao Qi smiled, “Brother informed me.”

“So in the future, do I have to report to the Emperor whenever I want to meet someone privately?”

“Well, that’s not what I meant.”

Xiao Shiqing chuckled, “Is the Emperor trying to be the wife of a prime minister, being so controlling?”

“So I’ve said it’s not what I meant…”

“Following this logic, Brother also manages everything about me, even when I go to bed, it’s like he wants to be my empress.”

Xiao Shiqing casually said, “Yes.”

Zhao Qi: “???”

Confused on the tree, confused under the tree, only I.

“The Emperor looks at the memorial sent by the Huai River,” Xiao Shiqing threw the memorial to Zhao Qi as if nothing had happened. “Since the spring, the Huai River has been rainy, and the Yellow River has broken its dikes in many places, causing tens of thousands of refugees to be homeless. The matter of flood control is urgent, otherwise it may cause a peasant uprising.”

At this point, Zhao Qi was worried, “But the national treasury has so little silver, and if there are any more problems from Western Xia… Brother, if you have to go begging in the future, remember to take me with you.”

“Okay,” Xiao Shiqing chuckled softly, “I’ll take you begging.”

Zhao Qi devoted his whole day to the country, and finally had time to attend to his own affairs at night. Jiang Dehai prepared several jars of palace jade liquor as he had instructed.

Jiang Dehai said, “Your Majesty, do you really want to drink?”

Zhao Qi rolled up his sleeves, “Without entering the tiger’s den, how can one catch the tiger’s cub!” He wanted to speak with actions, proving that he was not an animal in heat after drinking.

Jiang Dehai advised, “But, Your Majesty, excessive drinking harms the body.”

“Right.” Zhao Qi thought for a moment, “Xiao Jinzi, you go find the imperial physician for some stomach and liver tonic, and prepare some sobering tea. When I wake up, I’ll drink it. Lao Jiang, you go outside and guard, don’t let anyone in.”

Jiang Dehai sighed directly, when the emperor was going to be impulsive, except for the prime minister Shiqing, no one could persuade him. Everything was ready, and only Zhao Qi and Xiao Jinzi, who had just been removed from the egg, were left in the sleeping palace. Zhao Qi ordered, “Little Jinzi, you look good by the side, and write down the reaction after the drink.”

Xiao Jinzi took the pen, seriously said, “Your Majesty, rest assured.”

Zhao Qi poured the wine into the cup and drank a big gulp directly.

Xiao Jinzi immediately began to record:

[Emperor’s Observational Diary After Drinking]

After one cup, the Emperor was as usual;

After three cups, the Emperor began to float;

After five cups, the Emperor’s cheeks flushed, he began to cry loudly, crying while shouting “dog man” three times;

The Emperor cried and burped, picked up the sixth cup of wine, and a black shadow entered through the window and threw me out.

Chapter 52 – Strange Occurrences

Chapter 52: Strange Occurrences

Long Ling looked at the small pink ball in his palm, and after a few seconds, he suddenly realized something, leaning closer to his phoenix, “What’s wrong, Phoenix?”

His voice carried a hint of amusement as he casually added, “Are you shy, or feeling… amorous again?”

The little phoenix: “…”

Returning to human form, the phoenix looked at Long Ling expressionlessly. His face, now pale, had acquired a slight blush at some point. Though his expression remained cold, in Long Ling’s eyes, it added a contrasting cuteness.

But apart from that… there seemed to be nothing unusual about his phoenix.

Long Ling stared at Su Muluo from left to right, asking, “Doesn’t the phoenix feel strange to you?”

“Not at all,” Su Muluo replied, “I won’t let you touch my feathers next time.”

Long Ling: “!”

Upon hearing this, Long Ling immediately clung to his phoenix, looking aggrieved, “I didn’t do anything wrong, yet the phoenix blames me.”

How could he know that touching the phoenix’s feathers would make them so fluffy and his face so red? But it did look quite nice.

Thinking this, Long Ling added, “The phoenix feathers turning pink are actually quite cute.”

Su Muluo: “Not at all, they’re ugly.”

He still preferred his own bright white feathers.

So next time, this dragon shouldn’t touch his feathers again.

After a while, Su Muluo felt the heat on his face gradually fade away and looked at Long Ling, “Is my face still red?”

Long Ling replied, “No, it’s not.”

He had thought that touching the phoenix’s feathers too much might make it amorous, but now it seemed it just changed color.

But in the phoenix clan, not allowing others to touch their feathers wasn’t for this reason—in their eyes, feathers were extremely precious. Only when they truly liked someone and had opened their heart would they reveal their feathers for them to touch.

So when his phoenix let him touch its feathers, it was a complete trust in him.

Thinking of this, joy bubbled up in Long Ling’s heart again, unable to help but chuckle and hug his phoenix tightly.

Su Muluo didn’t want him to hug him, pushed him away, and said, “You just said you’d pinch my tail.”

Long Ling froze for a moment upon hearing this, then innocently looked back at his phoenix.

Su Muluo wasn’t buying it, squinting at him and saying, “I want to pinch your tail!”

Long Ling locked eyes with him for a few seconds before saying, “Does the phoenix really want to pinch my tail?”

“I do!” Su Muluo grabbed his hand and said, “You promised, no backing out!”

He had let this dragon touch his feathers.

And now the feathers were all pink!

Seeing that Su Muluo still looked a bit reproachful, as if he were looking at a scoundrel, Long Ling couldn’t help but laugh, embracing his phoenix from behind and saying, “The phoenix should think it over… Pinching the tail also holds special meaning for the dragon clan.”

He said it so mysteriously that Su Muluo just thought he was making excuses and didn’t quite believe him, asking, “What meaning?”

Long Ling smiled faintly, leaned close to Su Muluo’s ear, and said slowly, “Pinching the tail can make dragons more… in bed—”

He deliberately lowered his voice for the last few words, almost whispering into Su Muluo’s ear.

Su Muluo: “…”

Su Muluo: “???”

He felt his ears burning!

Immediately, he angrily patted Long Ling’s head several times.

Long Ling burst into laughter, blinking innocently and saying, “So if the phoenix wants to pinch the tail now, I can let the phoenix pinch it as many times as you want.”

Su Muluo huffed, “Go away!”

He didn’t want to deal with this dragon anymore!

Feeling like he was about to explode from anger, especially when he remembered that he had let this dragon touch his feathers several times just now… he became even more furious!

Meanwhile, Long Ling was still laughing smugly, thoroughly enjoying himself.

After silently watching him for a while, Su Muluo said softly, “Are you happy?”

Long Ling: “…”

He had a bad feeling and quickly suppressed his laughter—but it was too late.

A minute later, this dragon who had angered his phoenix was kicked out of the room with a pillow, looking extremely resentful.

Inside a dark cave, heavy and painful gasps echoed. A golden dragon hovered at the deepest part of the cave, blood flowing from a deep wound on its abdomen, slowly healing at an extremely slow pace.

“Such a pity,” a voice devoid of emotion sounded beside the golden dragon, “if this continues, you’ll die, and this wound won’t heal properly.”

The golden dragon gasped heavily, filled with intense unwillingness and anger in its voice, “If only my strength had fully recovered—”

“Your lack of strength led to provocation, which was foolish,” the voice interrupted, “Moreover, by the time you recover, they will also recover. Right now, you are no match for them.”

The golden dragon fell silent.

The cave remained quiet for a few seconds before the voice spoke again, “Let’s cooperate. I’ve said it before, you should cooperate with me.”

“…”

The golden dragon struggled visibly for a while before finally asking, “Who are you exactly? What is your purpose?”

“I know who I am, and you know it well,” the voice said. “As for the purpose… it’s quite simple.”

“I just want to stay alive, that’s all.”

The next afternoon, Su Muluo and Long Ling went out together. Last night, Long Ling was kicked out of his room and stood guard for a minute. Today, he clung to his phoenix when he got up, unwilling to let go.

“Phoenix always bullies me,” Long Ling said, “Phoenix is so bad.”

Su Muluo glanced at him and said nothing.

The look in his eyes meant, “Do you think I care about your complaints?”

Long Ling clicked his tongue lightly, took Su Muluo’s hand, and tucked it into his own pocket.

The two arrived at the coffee shop. Since Su Muluo had contacted Qiansui in the morning, the shop was not yet open and Qiansui was not there either.

They arrived on time, but there were already several people waiting outside the shop—Zheng Hechun and Liu He were there, along with a young man and woman, and an older man who appeared slightly older than Zheng Hechun.

“Mr. Su!” Liu He waved to Su Muluo. “We’re over here!”

Su Muluo walked over and said, “Sorry for being late.”

Zheng Hechun smiled, “Not at all. You and Lord Long Ling arrived on time. We were just too eager and came early.”

As he spoke, Su Muluo’s gaze had already swept over the three beside him—though the young man and woman seemed to have decent cultivation levels, what interested him more was the older man.

Standing beside Su Muluo was his dragon, and these three clearly knew. Facing the real dragon, although the young man and woman tried to remain calm, their faces still showed obvious fear, while the old man remained calm, as if accustomed to storms and waves.

In addition, his cultivation was the highest among the outsiders present, at least higher than any human cultivator Su Muluo had encountered.

Zheng Hechun introduced the three to Su Muluo and Long Ling. The old man was named Fan Huai, and the young man and woman behind him were siblings, the brother named Zhou Yang and the sister named Zhou Lu, both following Fan Huai.

“Mr. Fan has no official position in the Bureau of Extraordinary Beings , but he is currently the foremost cultivator and our backbone,” Zheng Hechun said respectfully. “The current head of the headquarters is Mr. Fan’s son.”

Su Muluo hadn’t expected someone of such high status to be sent by the headquarters. He nodded slightly at Fan Huai and said, “Pleased to meet you.”

Fan Huai smiled and said, “I dare not claim much. What I have to offer is insufficient compared to Mr. Su and Lord Long Ling.”

His gentle and calm tone made people feel warm and close.

Su Muluo looked at the foremost cultivator and knew that among human cultivators, those with higher cultivation levels also had longer lifespans. Fan Huai appeared to be over sixty, but his actual age could be several times that.

He should be a human who had lived for at least two hundred years… such individuals were rare nowadays.

Thinking this, Su Muluo opened the door of the coffee shop and invited everyone inside.

“Would you like some coffee?”

Inside the coffee shop, Fan Huai shook his head. “I don’t want to trouble Mr. Su. Besides, I’m too old to enjoy what these young people drink.”

He declined, and Zhou Yang and Zhou Lu behind him dared not speak. Su Muluo glanced at Zheng Hechun, who smiled and took out a thermos cup containing his red date and wolfberry soup.

Liu He also remained silent, just like the Zhou siblings, completely unwilling to speak in front of Mr. Fan… although she still wanted to drink the coffee brewed by Mr. Su.

Since none of them wanted coffee, Su Muluo glanced at his dragon and said, “Go pour some water.”

Before he finished speaking, the thermos cup in Zheng Hechun’s hand tilted slightly, and Zhou Yang and Zhou Lu behind Fan Huai almost simultaneously said, “No need, no need! Please sit down, we’ll do it!”

Are you kidding? How could they dare to let a real dragon pour water for them!

That’s too terrifying!

After saying this, the siblings ran to pour water, and Liu He followed suit. Su Muluo looked at them, hung a sign at the door saying “Closed Temporarily,” to prevent anyone from coming in and disturbing them.

Afterwards, they sat in the coffee shop. Fan Huai looked around and brought up a relaxed topic, saying, “Mr. Su’s coffee shop must be doing well, I presume?”

Su Muluo replied, “Not really.” After all, it’s been closed for several days, which is quite worrying.

Fan Huai was silent for a moment, then cleared his throat and said, “Well, things should be better after that.”

Su Muluo said, “I hope so.”

With that, the topic came to an end. After thinking about it, Fan Huai decided to come clean. “Su Muluo, Long Ling, I don’t know whether they can do a more difficult task.”

Actually, the last time at Suyuan was a great opportunity to confront the Golden Dragon, but unfortunately, he was caught up in memories at that time, and his dragon was concerned about him, allowing the Golden Dragon to escape… After that, this Golden Dragon is likely to be even more cautious.

Fan Huai said, “We plan to gather all the forces of the Bureau of Extraordinary Beings to search for his whereabouts. Once found, we will immediately send out the elite of the Bureau of Extraordinary Beings to set up an ambush—by then, we hope Mr. Su and Lord Long Ling will join us.”

Su Muluo looked at Long Ling, intending to ask his dragon’s opinion, but Long Ling’s face was heavy, with a cloud of gloom in his eyes.

“What’s wrong?” Su Muluo leaned closer and whispered, “Do you disagree?”

Long Ling glanced at his phoenix, then after a moment, said, “No, I’ll listen to the phoenix.”

Though his tone was calm, Su Muluo felt something was amiss. He gently tugged at his sleeve and asked, “Are you feeling uncomfortable?”

“I’m fine,” Long Ling held his hand and said, “The phoenix doesn’t need to worry about me.”

His words only increased Su Muluo’s concern. He quickly decided to end the conversation with Fan Huai and said, “Alright, please inform us if there’s any news.”

Fan Huai also sensed something amiss between them, smiled and said, “Very well. Thank you, Mr. Su and Lord Long Ling. We won’t disturb you any longer. Goodbye.”

They quickly left.

The coffee shop quieted down. Su Muluo turned his gaze back to Long Ling, worried. “What’s really going on?”

His dragon was clearly not okay.

Su Muluo raised his hand to touch Long Ling’s forehead, but Long Ling grabbed his wrist and rested his head on Su Muluo’s shoulder.

“I’m fine,” Long Ling whispered softly, “Phoenix, let’s go back.”

His words only deepened Su Muluo’s unease, but he didn’t say anything more. He just held Long Ling’s hand tightly and said, “Okay.”

After a moment, they returned to their rental house. Long Ling’s face grew increasingly dark, his brows furrowed tightly, and he remained silent.

However, no matter how Su Muluo asked him, he wouldn’t respond or would just say “it’s nothing”. Finally, Su Muluo became anxious and said, “If you don’t speak up, I’ll ignore you!”

Worried, he stared closely at Long Ling. Long Ling, seeing how flustered his Phoenix was because of him, felt a pang in his heart and said, “I—”

Just as he was about to say something, he suddenly felt dizzy and closed his eyes.

Su Muluo immediately supported him, asking, “Are you dizzy? Do you have a headache or are you sick?”

The next moment, his vision spun, and before he could react, Long Ling pressed him down onto the sofa.

Su Muluo blinked in surprise, meeting Long Ling’s eyes, only to notice a hint of crimson tinting those dark golden eyes… like blood.

“Long Ling?” Su Muluo felt an extremely bad premonition, grabbing Long Ling’s shoulders with trembling voice, “You—”

Before he could finish, Long Ling silenced him with a kiss that carried a breath of plunder, almost leaving him breathless.

At the same time, Long Ling pinned his hands above his head with such strength that Su Muluo couldn’t move.

“Wait, Long Ling…” Su Muluo struggled to say amidst the restraint, but Long Ling frowned disapprovingly, using a belt to tie his wrists and gripping his jaw, forcing him to look at him.

The cold and forceful gaze was completely different from Long Ling’s usual demeanor. Su Muluo’s heart pounded, fearing that something very bad was about to happen…

Long Ling lowered his head, burying his face into his shoulder, inhaling his scent.

Then he hugged his Phoenix tightly, closed his eyes, and fell asleep without a word.

Su Muluo: “…”

Chapter 15

       Soft body, rough tools.

The exploration and teasing delved deeper and deeper.

Once the sexual proposition began to take root, they spread endlessly like spring grass. It was as if a sleeping beast had been awakened in his body, swimming around with its most primitive instincts.

       It shouldn’t be like this.

However, the heat of his body gradually rose, and his heartbeat began to speed up. His breathing became heavier and heavier.

       It can’t be like this.

His private parts became more sensitive and fragile under the friction, and the sometimes gentle and sometimes intensified teasing made the inner thighs tense until they trembled slightly.

       Can’t…

Pain and numbness were mixed together, and the touch on his skin began to become intense, so intense that it ignored all other sensations. He couldn’t hear and couldn’t see clearly; only the whip controlled everything.

       Not even close.

The force, speed, and position of friction were still a little bit off…

His desire grew, his reasoning was shrinking, his legs were slightly spread, and his body began to lean forward, asking for more.

Chu Yunhan looked at the man in front of him with blurred eyes. Those black pupils were like black holes leading to another world, seeming to swallow him completely.

       Wrong…

       Everything is wrong…

He bit his lip violently. His mouth was filled with the taste of blood, and blood streaks overflowed from his lips. The heat in his body seemed to drop instantly, and the moment he woke up from the ups and downs of desire, he was whipped again. This time, he was hit on the outside of his thigh, causing him to tremble with pain.

“Who gave you permission to bite your lip?” Chu Yichen said coldly.

“Let me go…” His eyes were filled with mist, and he murmured, “I was wrong; everything is my fault. You said you would protect me and Minran…right here… You said it…”

The whip of punishment flew down from the air and hit him on the chest.

“Hngh… Yichen, please…” He was afraid, afraid of the man’s methods and afraid of losing control of himself. Everything just now made him understand that he couldn’t resist those provocative techniques at all. Instead of falling into lust and doing shameful things, it was better to be beaten and injured and stay rational and awake through pain.

“You really haven’t learnt your lesson.” Chu Yichen took a medium-sized gag ball from the cabinet nearby, put it against his lips and said, “Open your mouth.”

“No…” Before the words of rejection could be spoken, his jaw was already pinched. The moment he was forced to open his mouth, the ball was pressed into his mouth. A feeling of nausea made him retch. His throat trembled, but he couldn’t really spit anything out, and the physiological tears that welled up blurred his vision. This kind of ball gag is a sex toy made of moderately soft and hard plastic material, with many small ventilation holes in the middle, which could completely open the mouth without wearing down the teeth. There were straps on both sides that could be tied behind the head to prevent it from falling out. Once worn, the mouth couldn’t be closed and couldn’t speak, but it would not affect the user’s breathing and moaning. With the straps fastened, Chu Yunhan threw his head back and struggled but only managed to make some indistinguishable guttural sounds. Saliva dripped down the corners of his mouth, which could not be closed, mixing with the tears rolling down.

Chu Yichen carefully checked the position of the gag and said solemnly, “If you don’t like the whip, let’s try another method.”

Chu Yunhan couldn’t speak. He stared at the approaching man uneasily. He felt a chill on his legs, and his trousers had slipped down to his ankles. What frightened him even more was what the other party did next.

Chu Yichen had wrapped his warm palms around his genitals.

The fear of that night swept over him again. He shook his head desperately and made a whining sound. His body struggled and pulled, making the metal shackles and chains rattle. His balls were pinched punitively, and the man’s voice was cold, “If you move again, I’ll also gag the back of that little mouth of yours.”

Chu Yunhan stiffened and looked at the other man in despair, not daring to move again.

Chu Yichen stood face to face with him, stroking away the tears on Chu Yunhan’s cheeks with one hand and stroking his dormant genitals through his underwear with the other. Kneading and pressing, scraping and teasing, sometimes at the tip, sometimes at the shaft, sometimes moving to the ball. His movements were subtle yet flexible, gentle with some roughness. It was like a patient yet circuitous snake, slithering round and round, not in a hurry to get to the point.

Time is the best catalyst. This kind of sensory stimulation was more direct than the teasing from the whip, making the originally calm tides of desire stir again. The muscles in Chu Yunhan’s inner thighs began to tighten, and his waist arched slightly unbearably. On one hand, the body had to obey the heart’s desires; on the other hand, the mind struggled to support itself. He desperately tried to force himself to hold back but couldn’t stop his body from responding honestly. This feeling of powerlessness made him almost collapse.

“It’s up.” The man’s voice was low and sensual. The heat of his breath pressed against Chu Yunhan’s ear, causing a small shiver to rise on the sensitive side of his neck. “You want it, don’t you?”

Chu Yunhan shuddered and closed his eyes in shame.

       He couldn’t help it.

Under such teasing, the dormant c0ck began to become high-spirited, making the grey boxer briefs bulge.

But the other party obviously didn’t intend to stop there, and his nails deliberately scratched the top folds, stimulating the sensitive ball. Every stroke was like an electric shock, like torture, but also like soothing. Small electric currents rush through the body, forming layers of pleasure. Then they added up and turned into surging waves of desire. The sense of shame and immorality were like two fishes passing through, making the waves of desire even more muddy.

“Uh hngh…” He uttered unintelligible syllables, his eyes filled with mist. His legs seemed to have lost their strength and became weak. It was no longer possible to support his body, and all the weight was concentrated on his arms. Chu Yichen held his waist with her left hand and moved her right hand up and down his erect c0ck again and again. The friction through the cotton underwear deepened the fatal stimulation. Chu Yunhan began to pant, and the mouth opened by the gag made the panting sound even more tempting. His heartbeat was so fast that it seemed to lose its frequency, and the pleasure was like a beast pounding inside the body, looking for an exit.

The moment he couldn’t restrain himself from letting out his first groan, his rationality finally collapsed into pieces. It was as if the world no longer existed; only that hand and the turbulent pleasure it brought pushed me up the high waves and into the abyss, floating up and down and losing direction.

       Stop, please…

       Please… I can’t take it anymore…

Those words of mercy turned into sobs and moans, echoing intermittently in the room. His eyes lost focus, and everything turned into a blurry silhouette in the mist.

“Look at me.” The low voice seemed to come from a faraway place. He looked forward with confused eyes. His gaze intersected with those dark eyes, and he could no longer look away. He had become a puppet that could not think, letting the other party lead him to the dangerous cliff.

The hand that controlled everything sped up its movements, and the deep and shallow rhythms made the pleasure pierce into the groin like a sharp arrow, and his desire reached its peak. When he heard the words “You can cum”, Chu Yunhan cried out, his eyes turned white, and his mind seemed to explode, falling into a white fog.

When he recovered from the afterglow of his climax, he found that he was slumped in Chu Yichen’s arms, the shackles on his hands had been unlocked, and the gag had been removed. When his sanity came back, everything just turned into a nightmare. Disgust and shame came from all directions, like poisonous snakes biting him to pieces.

Chu Yunhan looked pale and lowered his head to avoid the man’s sight. When he saw the other man’s hand covered in turbid fluid, his pupils shrank suddenly.

“That’s it for today. Go back to your room.” Chu Yichen took out his handkerchief, wiped his semen-stained hands clean, and ignored him.

He put on his pants numbly and walked out. The two bodyguards outside the door did not stop him at the man’s signal and only followed him. Chu Yunhan walked forward step by step, and the wind blew in his face, drying his face that was wet with tears. He raised his hand to wipe away the water stains on his cheeks but found that he couldn’t wipe it clean at all. Tears rolled down from his eyes drop by drop, uncontrollably. He stopped on the stairs, gripping the handrail so hard that his nails nearly dug into the wood. After a long time, he dragged his exhausted body back to the room and locked himself in it.

The area where he had been whipped was still aching, and there was still sticky semen in his underwear. He turned on the shower, closed his eyes, and let the water pour on his head and body.

The water was warm, but he couldn’t stop shivering.

Because he knew very well that today was just the beginning.

       He was right.

From then on, whenever Chu Yichen was at home, he would spend about an hour training him. Sometimes it was noon, and sometimes it was evening.

At first, he used techniques to arouse his desires every time and then used whips to regulate his behaviour and make him obey the rules he set. From the simplest ‘don’t move’ and ‘don’t talk’ to ‘kneel down’, from forcing him to ejaculate at the beginning to later requiring him to calm his desires, gradually increasing his tolerance while training his sensitivity. However, during the training process, the number of times the man actually penetrated him was not many, and most of the time, he just used some tools.

As long as he was obedient, he would be treated gently, but if he resisted, you would be subjected to unbearable torture. Chu Yichen used this cruel method to establish hierarchy and asked Chu Yunhan, who was behind bars, to hand over himself bit by bit.

Whip. Pain. Sex. Orgams. Endure. Kneel.

After two months of repeated training, these things began to connect.

Chu Yunhan was horrified to find that when the man picked up the whip, his body reacted—it started to become excited and began to crave more, even if it was pain, even if it was being penetrated.

He was finally transformed into a monster—a pervert.

He locked himself in the room, huddled tremblingly on the corner of the bed, and cried silently.
